Chapter 1: Let The Game Begin
Chapter Text
The gang has arrived back to the world of Amphibia, because they did it. They stopped the invasion of Earth and got Marcy back from the CORE. A truly successful mission indeed. Now they can finally be at peace and not worry about anything else, asides from helping rebuild Amphibia. Anne took a moment to just breathe, to breathe in the fresh air of this amphibian world. It was over. The war was over. Her and her friends could finally go home to their families. Although Marcy will have to move, the three of them will all be okay. The residents of this place won't have to worry about the nightmares that resided here, being the CORE, no more. They can finally have the wonderful lives they deserve. A life where everyone can live in harmony.
But of course that was the future. They all still have now to deal with.
"So who wants to give the "it's over" speech?" A voice questioned, pulling Anne out of her thoughts, the voice being Sasha. Everyone turned to look at each other, but we all had a collective idea on who should give.
"I think it be best if Lady Olivia gave it." Hop-Pop stated what we were all thinking. "If ya don't mind that is."
"It's alright, Hopadiah. I don't mind," Olivia said, as she walked elegantly to the balcony. To give the word to the people, eagerly waiting on the news. In turn, we follow after her. Once we collectively reached the edge, Olivia took a breath before she gave the message.
"King Andrias and Darcy have been defeated. We are victorious!" The message was delivered with great pride, and the crowd erupted into cheers of joy and triumph. Most of all, it felt like everyone was smiling.
"Huh. Everything's over. Looks like we didn't even need that prophecy." Uh oh.
"Prophecy?" Marcy asked, her eyes bulging. "What prophecy!?" Then she proceeded to grab Sasha by the shoulders and shake her. Anne chuckled, everything was gonna be okay.
Faint music could be heard playing. Not just any music… music box music.
No one seems to notice the haunting melody that began to play, the faint glow that begin to emit from the gems of the box. No one notice, except for a little pink pollywog.
Polly felt an uneasy feel behind her, so she turned around to find the gems of the music box glowing with power. Curiosity getting the better of her, she carefully hopped off of Frobo to get a better, closer look. As she got closer, she noticed the box appeared to be shaking. As if the box was holding something that was trying so desperately to get out. She may not know much about how the box works, other than what was said and demonstrated, she knows one thing. This cannot be good.
"Uh guys? Should this thing be working at the moment?" Polly asked cautiously, alerting the others. The group was shocked to find the box activating and working on it's own. Who could've possibly set it off?
As the group got closer, the box seemed to be glowing more brighter and brighter. The box began to shake more violently as well, as if whatever is inside can sense them coming closer. "Hey Mar Mar, is… is the box supposed to do that?" Anne asked curiously, concern quickly growing. Marcy was quick to object.
"No. From all my research, it's not supposed to do- whatever it's doing without anyone interacting with it!" Marcy stated, their own voice quickly growing with concern.
Sprig hopped right next to be his little sister, about to grab her while stating "well then why is it acting all freaky?" Before anyone could respond, the music cut and the box shot opened, opening a portal of green hues, with small hints of purple.
A black tentacle that look as if it would be the tail of something, came out of the portal, and shot at the young Planter children. It grab the two with such force, it knocked the wind out of them, cause both of them to let out a yelp of fear.
"Sprig! Polly!" Anne was quick into action. She quickly pulled out her sword (somehow that's on her person at this moment) and began slicing at the appendage that held her frog siblings. Yelps and shouts were heard from behind as another tentacle came through the portal, knocking away the rest of the group. Anne turned around for only a second to see what was going on. But a second of distraction is all it took.
The second tentacle quickly wrapped around Anne, causing her to drop her sword and become immobilized. Now the three Planter children were being held captive, and being dragged into the portal. The two other humans, who were quick to recover and notice this, was quick to shoot up and run to the portal in an attempt to save the other three. Marcy grabbed the frogs, while Sasha grabbed Anne, well… the tentacles that were holding them. The two pulled and tugged with all their might, but it wasn't enough. The two tentacles yanked itself through the portal, bringing all five of the kids with it.
The portal proceeded to close a split second after the kids were pulled through. The air was still and cold, it didn't hold the say lightness and joy as once before, despite the slight cheering that's still going on outside. All anyone can think of at the moment is…
What in the hell just happened?
🔥
So… today was quite an interesting day to say the least. I.M.P had just spent an entire day in the human realm while trying to find Stolas daughter, with said prince. But luckily they found Octavia and nobody had to die!
Well… except those people in the studio- but nobody cares about those fucks.
Blitzø just came bursting out of his private office with his classic outfit back on. Where did he get it? I have absolutely no fucking clue. "There! Out of those stupid fuckin human clothes-" he stopped in his tracks when notice two owls seem to still be standing in I.M.P. "Uh Stolas? What are you and your kid still doing here?" Blitzø asked, more tamer than when he normally asks people shit.
And although the approach was more tame, the prince seemed to fidget more now that the particular imp had noticed him. "Well, Blitzø… I just…" Blitzø's eyes widened. Stolas didn't use that cute stupid nickname on him. This ain't ending well. "Well… I think… I think we should- I…"
"Spit it out birdbrain!" Blitzø spoke with a groan. He was really not liking where this was going.
"I… I wanted to talk… to talk about the deal…" oh. Oh no. Although keeping a calm - seemingly calm - exterior, Blitzø was full on panicking on the inside. Wait. Why was he panicking? He shouldn't be! This was going to come up eventually. So why was he getting so worked up over nothing?
"Oh, okay. Well… what about the deal did ya want to talk about?" Blitzø asked, in what he hoped was a casual way.
"I want to… I want to cut the deal off…"
…
Oh fuck.
Before anything could get more awkward, someone spoke up.
"Uh, your highness?" Even though one person was being addressed, everybody in the room turned to look at the source of the voice. That being Moxxie, who was near the desk, who seemed to have a look of concern.
"Yes? What is it?" Stolas questioned, concern slowly creeping through him as he noticed the expression of the other imp.
"Uh… does your book normally glow green?" That got everybody's attention as he held up the book to show that it was, indeed, glowing green. With the gold accents flickering with tints of purple.
"Uh Mox… I suggest ya put the book down, hun…" Millie spoke, quickly growing worried for her husband. Since he's the closest to the book, whatever happens, he'll end up getting hit with it first.
"Dad? Is that normal for the book to do that…?" Octavia asked.
"No Via… it shouldn't be doing that at all!" Well shit, everybody collectively thought, that's not fuckin good…
The book suddenly shot out of Moxxie's hands, throwing him over the desk in front of Stolas and Blitzø. Worry immediately grew among everyone in the room at the moment. It landed on the ground between everyone, glowing brighter and shaking violently. Everyone immediately brought their guard up. Stolas tried to use his own power to grab the Grimoire, but his eyes widened with fear as his powers did absolutely nothing. Blitzø, seemingly the only one noticing this, instantly put his guard up further.
The book flew open, causing a green portal with purple hues to open up, about the same size as a normal portal. The air current within the room seemed to pick up, as the air became stronger and attempted to pull everybody into the portal. A black tentacle shot out of the rift and zoomed towards the closest person in the room. That, unfortunately, happened to be Moxxie. The imp let out a yelp of shock as the tentacle quickly wrapped around his waist and began dragging him towards the portal.
"Moxxie!" Millie and Blitzø shouted, both quickly ran to their fellow imp to try and free him from the appendage. Only for the room to suddenly grow bright to the point of blinding everyone there.
If anyone were to enter the office, they would find it was left in disarray, and everybody who was previously occupying the room was not to be seen. Only evidence of anyone being in the room before would be the Grimoire, which seemed to be abandoned on the floor. Looking as if it didn't just cause the members of I.M.P, the prince and his daughter to disappear from existence.
🦉
Luz watched as her girlfriend walked through the portal, staff in hand, full of the confidence she always seemed to possess. It was just her and her mom who had to go through the portal.
She wanted to cry.
Even though the others tried to convince her otherwise… this was all her fault.
If she hadn't been so naive. If she just stood and thought for a moment… then the Day of Unity would've never happened. Her friends would've never been trapped here in the human realm with her… away from their families and homes. Hunter would've never been hurt the way he was tonight (or his entire life in that matter). And Flapjack… the poor cardinal would still be here with his witch.
But she couldn't cry. She doesn't deserve to cry. She has to fix what she did first.
"Are you ready?" A voice called out calmly. She look from the corner of her eye to see her mother, Camila, standing to her right, bat resting on her right shoulder.
"Are you?" Luz responded with a hint of nervousness in her voice. "I'm not sure what we'll see on the other side…" if her mother was coming with them, at least she should be honest with her.
"Then we don't wanna leave unprepared." Luz turned to her mother, then looked to the direction she was pointing. She looked to the ground to see her hat that belonged to her costume laying there, still in good shape. She walked up to it, picked it up, and put it in her head. A determined look appeared on her face. "A good witch always has to have her hat." A smile grew on Luz's face as Camila walked up to her and held her hand.
The two Nocedas faced each other, and walked through the portal to the demon realm, hand in hand. Before the portal fully faded away, it flickered hues of green and purple. Vee, having stayed behind, noticed this with a bit of concern. While turning her back to the portal, she spoke quietly, "please, come back safe guys…" and began walking back to the car.
…
…
…
"Shoot… Camila still has the car keys!"

"What in the name of stars and cosmos did you do, Aella!?" A masculine voice asked, seemingly pissed off at this 'Aella' person. "I tell you not to touch my artifacts for a very specific reason, you maniac!"
"I know you call me a 'maniac' as an insult. But I'll take it as a compliment!" A feminine voice, presumably Aella, spoke with a chuckle. "Also, how was I supposed to know what your shit would do if I accidentally dropped it onto a human's computer?"
"I- eh- guah- WE'RE GODS!" The first voice replied.
"Okay…?"
"Our, as you so bluntly put it, 'shit' could do unimaginable things if they are messed with in the wrong way. Even by accident! ESPECIALLY my stuff!" Aella just sighed at the voice's explanation.
"So? What is it you want me to do, Neon?"
The voice, now labeled as 'Neon', sighed deeply. Like a sibling losing patience with a younger sibling. "I want YOU to help me FIX this. Or bad shit can happen!"
"Alright, alright. I'll help!" Aella huffed in annoyance.
"Alrighty… I guess for the time being for them…"
"Let the game begin."
…

"Also you're gonna have to tell your sister what happened-"
"OH FOR FUCKS SAKE WHY!?"
Chapter 2: New World
Summary:
The game begins...
Chapter Text
The first thing Stolas feels when he regained consciousness was the slight breeze that swayed his feathers smoothly. The nice warmth of - what he assumes is - the sun, and the fresh calmness of the air. He opened his eyes, only to shut them again from being met with a bright blue sky with bright white clouds.
Wait… blue sky?
He opened his eyes again, but slowly this time, to confirm that there was indeed a blue sky above him. Curiosity peaked within his mind with this observation. Stolas prompted himself up with his arms to take in the scenery around him.
In front of him, he seems to be near a ledge of a hill. He stood up to get a closer look at the ledge, whilst being careful near it. It seems the ledge is around eight feet high from the ground below. Near him is some short grass and multiple kinds of flowers. Back down below, there seems to be multiple kinds of flowers spread along the field with a few random trees placed here and there. A few miles ahead to his right, there looks to be a river that looks to be an estimate of three miles wide. And what seemed to be a few farm animals scattered around the area. In the very far distance, there seems to be a couple mountains side to side. A potential area to explore perhaps? No matter. Right now, there's one goal in his mind.
Find the others. Especially his daughter. This world may seem innocent, but if Hell has taught the prince anything, it's that nothing is truly innocent.
Looking down at himself, he concludes that for the moment, he is in one piece and has sustained no injuries during the transportation.
A quite groan caught his attention, he turned around to find the source of the noise, that being inside an oak tree. A figure fell out of the tall tree with a soft thud, followed by a grunt and an exclamation of 'FUCK!'. Stolas didn't need to fully look to know who that is.
"Blitzø, are you alright?" He asks as approaches said imp, who at the moment, is lying on his back.
"'m fine, Stolas. Just a stupid tree." Blitø responded as he stood up, brushing himself off. "Speakin' of trees… we back on Earth or some shit?" The imp added as he took his turn to look at the surrounding area their in.
"Hm… I don't believe so. This does look like a place that would be on Earth, but it doesn't feel the same as when we were in L.A." Stolas looked up at the sky, although it seemed to be early in the morning, he didn't want to risk losing daylight by wasting time sight seeing. "No matter. We are in a different world, we must find Octavia and the others before something happens to them." He did not want to think about those possibilities more than necessary.
"Can you just portal to them or some shit?" A realization hit him as Blitzø say that. Oh yeah. Why didn't I think of that? Seeming to read his thoughts, the imp started chuckling. Taking that as his que, Stolas goes to open a portal with having the others in his mind, only to have a sharp pain go all through out his right hand and arm. Stolas let out a yelp as he grab his wrist with his other hand and slightly curled in on himself.
"Stolas!" Blitzø rushed over to Stolas' side, voice filled with concern, "let me see your arm." The imp demand, and the prince complied, uncurling himself slowly and giving him his arm. Blitzø carefully took Stolas right arm into his hands, seeing the black area had a slight fuzziness that was slowly fading away.
"Does it still hurt?" Stolas shook his head.
"It does sting quite a bit, but it's fading." They both were silent for a few moments before Blitzø took the reins in speaking.
"What the fuck was that!?"
"I don't know… that's- that's never happened when I've tried to use my powers." This cause worry to increase in Blitzø, despite not showing it. Something is up with this world, and whatever it was, they- it- whatever… wasn't gonna let them have it easy. Stolas stood up straighter, a determined look appearing on his face despite his inner worry, and looked towards the direction of the mountains. "Since my power is not an option at the moment, we must look for the other's on foot." Blitzø in turn, looked in the direction Stolas was looking. Equal in worry and determination.
"Well… what are we waiting for? Let's fuckin get moving!"

The lull of water flowing calmly would normally pull people into slumber, but for Hunter, the sound pulled him from his unconscious state and instantly opened his eyes. Wait- when did I pass out? He thought as he sat up quickly in order to assess his surroundings. He seemed to be near a four foot wide river that was to his right, and the area was surrounded by oak trees.
The direction of the river seemed to flow towards something farther than the eye could see. Which makes sense… cause it's a river. While in the opposite direction of the flow, which happened to be behind him, the river originating from a bunch mountains in the distance. Getting up onto his feet, a question entered the boy's mind.
Where in the name of Titan am I?
"Hello? Anybody here?"
Well, that internal question will have to wait.
Hunter turned to the sound of the voice, originating from his left, and came face to face with a familiar friend. "Gus?"
"Hunter!" The shorter witch turned to his friend and ran to him. Glad to see a familiar face in an unknown world, despite the worry of where the others could be. They joined up with a hug initiated by Gus, and although he hesitated, Hunter accepted and returned it. They separated after a few seconds and looked towards each other.
"Are any of the others around?" Hunter asked.
"No. I've been walking for a bit and haven't found any of the others so far." Gus looked a bit upset with his own response. Hunter's big brother senses kicked in.
"Hey, it's okay. Maybe… maybe the others are just further out. And we were the closet to each other." It was an honest guess. Who knows how long either one of them, if Gus was at all, passed out for. For all the two of them knew, they could be the only ones who have woken up so far.
"That… that does make sense." Gus responded, looking a bit happier. "Then, we should go look for them!" Hunter nodded in agreement. Hunter turned to look behind him towards the mountains, Gus turned to look to his right in the same direction.
"I feel like we should go towards those mountains."
"You think the others will be there?" Hunter nodded slowly, with a hand placing itself on his chest.
"I have a feeling we should be there, and that the others will be there to." Gus nodded, knowing what Hunter was talking about. Neither of them knew why they felt the pull from the mountains, they just do.
So without another word from either boy, they set off towards the mountains.

Pain.
That's all Sasha could feel at the moment.
Burning. Hot. Pain.
Specifically. The large scythe wound on her back.
Why did it hurt so bad suddenly? Wasn't it just fine a moment ago?
Then it hit her.
The music box. The Planter siblings. Anne. Her and Marcy trying to save them.
"GUYS!" She shouted as she shot into a sitting position. Bad idea. A sharp pain shot through her back, causing her to curl in on herself with a shaky breath.
She shouldn't be lying to herself. The injury hurt like a bitch when she first got it, still did after the invasion was stopped, she just didn't say anything. The throw and landing must've been violent enough to cause more irritation, and possibly make it worse. She's gotta have the wound cleaned soon if she doesn't want it to get infected, if it's not already.
She'd been so focused on trying to calm herself down from the jolt of pain she experienced that she didn't hear the sound of someone approaching. A gentle hand placed itself upon her left shoulder, wound forgotten, Sasha's instincts took over. Sasha tackled the person, pinning them down on their front, holding their arms behind their back. "SASHA! IT'S ME!" The person yelped, trying to get the girl's attention. Sasha took a moment to calm herself, still keeping a good grip on the person. The more she calmed herself, she was able to see who exactly she tackled.
"Marcy?" The one spoken to gave a small, nervous grin with a chuckle.
"Hey, Sash." Sasha immediately got off of Marcy.
"Shit Mars, I'm sorry! I didn't-"
"Sasha!" Sasha immediately shut up, looking at Marcy with wide eyes as she stood. Marcy stood behind Sasha and took off her cape then crouched behind their friend. "Can you lift up your arms, please?" Sasha did what they asked with a slight wince. Marcy wrapped their cape around Sasha like it was a bandage, making sure to cover the wound on her back.
"What is this for?"
"Your wound started bleeding. I don't know how long we've been passed out for. But it seems we're far from any civilization at the moment. So since we're gonna be walking for frog knows how long, I want to make sure if you bleed more, you don't spill too much."
"Wow… thanks Marcy." Sasha responded with a small smile as she stood up.
"No problemo!" They both look around as they take in the oak forest they find themselves in.
"So… I assume we go and find Anne, Sprig, and Polly?" An answer was never given as the ground started to shake. Everything seemed to have a panicked energy as the shaking became more violent.
Cracks began appearing in the ground. Noticing this, the duo immediately started running in the opposite direction of the cracks. Panic and fear grew in the two 13-year-olds as they could hear the sound of the ground caving in on itself. Neither one wanted to get caught in the downfall. They ran for what felt like hours, but didn't stop, even when it felt like neither one of them could breathe. Sasha, pulling a Marcy, tripped on something on the ground and tumbled. Hurting her back a shit ton. The sound of the ground collapsing seemed to halt, and all that remained was the stillness of the air. Sasha blinked a couple times before pulling herself into a sitting position. Careful not to agitate her wound. Dirt and dust particles floated in the air, but she noticed she seemed to have landed in a clearing with some flowers here and there.
Wait… where's…-
"Sasha…?"
Sasha slowly turned around, afraid of what she was about to see what befell Marcy. When the dust cleared and Sasha turned to her full capacity at the moment, her eyes widened at the sight.
Marcy was kneeling on the ground that was two yards wide on all ends, expression full of shock and fear, with their surrounding area beyond that fully collapsed many, many miles under.
Marcy was trapped. And Sasha could do only one thing.
Scream for help.
