Chapter Text
You felt pain. Pain all over your body, on your skin, in your muscles, your bones. You felt your skull bashed; cracked like a chicken egg. The feeling of an immense force of impact had lingered on in you for quite a long period of time.
You felt deaf. Your eardrums have rung so loud as though a million bells clanged against each other all at once. It was so loud that they popped like a bubble, bursting open into an irreparable state.
You smelled blood. Your nose was dry and normal like any other nose. But when it happened, the strong scent of warm iron quickly filled up the nostrils both in and out, replacing the breath of air you had breathed in moments ago.
You couldn’t taste. Your tongue which had nothing to taste now could no longer taste anything, because you had bitten so hard into it that it flew out, never to be reattached ever again.
Touch, hearing, scent, taste, all of these senses failed you when you needed them all most. Except for sight.
You could still see. You could see as clear as the ground beside your skin. You could see the pool of blood that began to increase in area, the sight of people all around you panicking, unsure on what to do in such a case. You could see the silver reflection of yourself from the truck that had its front stained in red. You could see your cracked phone, the screen remained on while the video of your favorite Touhou song had continued to play.
But you could no longer hear it, and soon, you may no longer see. Your vision begins to darken, your mind still unable to come together on what exactly happened, yet deep within, you begged, pleaded, prayed to whatever god or high being still existed at this very moment.
You didn’t want to die, not yet. Not in such a state. But that’s not how life works does it? And soon, even your sight had failed you.
…
…
…
You wake up.
You find yourself lying on a cold hard ground, the moist scent of rainfall filling your lungs, the sound of brimming silence, the taste of your own saliva. And as you open your eyes, all you could see is darkness, yet the sight of a dim light not too far away.
You raise your head up, standing with your knees. You could walk, you didn’t limp or struggle, you walked just how you did before. You could move your body in any way and there was nothing to keep you from doing so.
Each step you took, an echoing noise took its place shortly after. You didn’t know where you were, or where to go. You had no idea how you got here, why you were here to begin with. But standing around and doing nothing would solve nothing, so you walked.
Seconds upon seconds, upon minutes, upon hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries…
You did nothing but walk, and still no end to this strange void you stumbled upon. You already forgot why you were here in the first place, how you got here. You forgot your own name, your identity, your personal favorite things. You were a husk, a hollow shell of a being you’re not even sure if you could consider human by now.
You didn’t need to eat, or drink, or breathe. You didn’t need to think, or smell, or listen. You didn’t even need to use your eyes, or feel your surroundings. Your senses were no longer of use. Yet you still kept on walking.
Until…You arrive somewhere. Something different.
It was faint, you had a hard time seeing it due to your eyes having lost all function other than to stare forward. A part of you almost considered the sight to be some kind of hallucination that your mind conjured up as a desperate attempt to feel something again after spending an eternity walking.
The closer you got, the more the sight revealed itself. It looked small, resembling a small slit entryway to something other than the dark endless void. You could see eyes staring out, gazing upon you intently. You didn’t care though, all you cared about was getting close.
You reached the spot, and decided to stick your head inside the hole. The entire interior was filled with eyes that covered every spot within your vision. Some stared at you, others looked elsewhere, but you could see them so could they.
Then you felt something, a warm, strong feeling on your hand. It was something you hadn’t felt before in ages, enough so that you were brought to shock. But your mind couldn’t even be given a second to think about it before you were pulled right into the gap.
You were falling, falling fast and hard. The sound of wind filled your ears, a sound you thought had long been forgotten. Another sound then came by, speaking in a language you almost forgot about.
“Well, what do we have here?” The voice said in an alluring tone. “I never imagined I would find a human wandering around here all by themselves… But then again, judging by how you look, you’re not a human anymore, are you?”
You didn’t know who or where this voice came from, questions began to fill your mind up, the tip of your tongue struggling to move in order to form words.
“Fufufu…Don’t force yourself, dear. After all, where I’ll be taking you will be much different from what you had experienced before in the past. Nothing like a particular universe still struggling with its own problems.”
You didn’t understand, it seemed as though they were referring to something, yet you don’t have any reason to think too hard about it.
“Well, anyway. I’m here to give you another chance. However, it’s going to be a little different compared to before. Your body and spirit have decayed to a point where you are completely unrecognizable, impossible to repair to a newer state without disregarding what made you you. So instead, I’ll be giving you a different kind of option.
*snap*
Six different objects of similar size and material formed around you. Each one had a different frame, but they all showed different reflections, reflections of people you never thought you would see ever again.
“Be sure to choose one, as you will experience the life they have, the memories they bear, the skills they honed. You will act like them, think like them, live life as them. This may look like a Choosing of Your Adventure. But if I had to describe it as something different… You are meekly Living on From Another.”
“Choose Wisely, fellow Gensokyian.”

Summary:
Reimu Hakurei
Chapter Text
You focused specifically on the reflection with the red frame around it. You gazed upon what you saw, seeing a girl with dark brown hair; almost black even; but perhaps blue depending on the lighting, wearing a red and white outfit similar to that of a Shrine Maiden’s, composed of a sleeveless top, white topless sleeves, a red skirt, and a red bow. When you looked into the mirror, you could see the person move and blink the same way you did.
“Ah…So you decided on the Shrine Maiden herself… How curious.” The voice said. “But it was your decision overall, so who am I to judge?”
The other mirrors faded away, leaving only the reflection of the red-white girl. The longer you gazed, the more you felt familiar with the reflection. Your mind began to fill with memories, flashes of events that played out in a nostalgic way.
You experienced the time when you were very small and little, not knowing anything about the world outside of Hakurei Shrine.
You recalled the voice and face of your mother, during the few moments when she didn’t wear her mask on.
You remembered an old turtle you referred to as Gramps.
You recollected flying across the sky for the first time.
You remembered meeting a black-white magician and almost immediately becoming friends with her.
You remembered when your mother passed away…
You remembered solving your first incident on your own.
You remembered creating the spell card rules after defeating a Scarlet Vampire.
You remembered facing a half-human half-phantom up a long set of stairs.
You remembered teaming up with a gap youkai when the night wouldn’t end.
You remembered seeing the sea for the very first time after crashing on the moon.
You remembered dealing with the shenanigans of three fairies of light.
You remembered seeing Kasen again, finding her quite annoying at first but also reliable.
You remembered learning about a girl obsessed with youkai books.
You remembered visiting a pub where a girl with pink hair served drinks.
You remembered…
I remembered…
I remember everything.
I looked back at the reflection once again, seeing my face, my clothes, and my bow. They were all a part of me. They were the clothes I wore almost everyday.
And right now… I felt very agitated, specifically towards one person in particular.
“Ah. So it’s done. Well, I’ve done all I came here for. I’ll be seeing you very soon.”
I wanted to shout, to bicker, to ask why she of all people decided to conduct this procedure knowing it would likely bring complications. But, knowing Yukari, I wouldn’t be given a moment to speak. My head becomes drowsy, and I begin to fall fast asleep.
“Good Luck… Reimu Hakurei.”
…
“Uhh…”
I felt lightheaded, as though my mind decided to drown itself in alcohol the other night and proceeded to pass out. I checked your head, making sure I wasn’t sick or suffering from a hangover.
Opening my eyes, I was greeted by a wooden ceiling from above; The sound of birds chirping from outside the building I was in. I raised my head, looking around to get an idea of where I was.
I was in an open-spaced room, the amount of furniture was scarce, save the exception of the futon which I was sleeping in and a few other things. Letting out a yawn, I stretched my arms outward as far as I could.
“Hah…I feel like I had a very weird dream last night.” I say. “I felt like I was trapped in some kind of void forever. And then I heard Yukari’s voice, and then…”
I looked back down at my hands, flexing and closing them.
“Did my hands used to look like this?” I asked.
I’m not really sure, but something felt off. I got out of my futon, standing up from the ground.
“I feel like I used to be taller…Or even shorter than how I am.” I say. “What is going on?”
I really wasn’t sure about myself. I felt like I was in someone else’s body. Regardless of how I was feeling, I shouldn’t let it affect my actions for today.
I went ahead and did my morning routine consisting of getting myself all cleaned up, brushing my hair and teeth, putting on my miko outfit for the day, and as always putting on my hair tubes and iconic bow.
I checked myself in the mirror that was in my room, looking at my face and eyes. Again, something felt off. Did my eyes always used to be that color? And had my face always been this shape? Just thinking about how much I’m questioning myself was quickly making me go nuts.
“Ugh…What is going on with me? I know who I am, but why do I keep feeling like something’s off?” I asked myself. “Is it some kind of youkai magic? I should make a charm just in case.”
I reached into a nearby drawer, pulling out a slip of paper along with a jar of ink and a brush. I wrote the kanji 肯定, which means “affirmation” but also “Positive” to ensure I think brighter thoughts. I began to say a quick prayer to enhance the effectiveness of the charm when I heard the door to my room open.
“Reimu~”
Reimu…that’s my name right?
“Reimu?”
It’s the name I grew up with. The name given to me by my late mother. Surely I would know that, I would know the name that I have used my entire-
“Reimu!!!”
I realized they were speaking to me. I turned around, asking what it was they wanted. I look to be greeted by the face of a girl wearing a matching red shirt and pants, both with a cloudy pattern on them. Her hair was long and colored green, and she had a horn on her head. For a moment I forgot her name, until something clicked in my mind and I recalled it like it was yesterday.
“Oh, Aunn. What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Aunn… Reimu, you were supposed to make breakfast by now. Everyone is hungry.” Aunn told me.
“Breakfast…Oh, of course!” I say. I remembered it was my turn to make breakfast for everyone today. “Sorry, I’ll get started on it right now.”
I left my room and walked down the hall to my right. I entered the living area only to be greeted by a mess of a scene. The table was flipped, there were empty bottles all over the floor, and everyone who I willingly allowed to live here passed out, some with less clothes than others. I saw Suika Ibuki, the drunken Oni laying flat on the ground, Shinmyoumaru Sukuna, the inchling princess sleeping inside a teacup, Shion Yorigami, the goddess of poverty hanging from the ceiling, and then Clownpiece, the hell fairy snuggling up with a bottle. I looked at the scene and then back at Aunn Komano, the Kominau of Hakurei Shrine.
Seeing this, I knew there were one of two choices I could decide on.
Chapter 3
Summary:
Have Aunn wake them up gently while I get started on breakfast.
Chapter Text
There was a part of me that felt like kicking everyone out for making such a mess in my living room. But then I realized if I did that, then all the cleaning would be left up to me.
“Aunn, could you wake everyone up and help them clean up?” I ask her in a polite tone.
“Aunn? You’re not mad Reimu?” Aunn asked.
“Oh, I’m mad. But I don’t want to waste my energy dealing with all of this. Would you be kind as to make them do it for me?” I say, my tone giving off the impression that I was close to lashing out if needed.
“Okay!” Aunn said happily. I watch her rush over to the people one by one, shaking them awake while I turned for the kitchen.
The inside of my kitchen was nice and clean. I had a gas stove, a fully-running sink, a cabinet of dishes and silverware, and even a fridge to keep some of the foods we make or keep nice and cool. Some of it was already in the shrine, but the fridge in particular was made from Nitori Hardware (I can recall how many cucumbers it took just to get one of these).
I went and put on an apron, tied my hair back so it wouldn’t get in the way and began to make breakfast. I made omelet rice since we had plenty of eggs and rice in the pantry. I pulled out a frying pan and got to work. I cracked about a dozen eggs, boiled the rice, and threw in a few other things that would make the meal all the more delicious.
It only took about half an hour to make all the dishes. I took the dishes back over to the living area and spoke up.
“Breakfast is ready!” I declared.
I look out, and find the living area had already been fixed up. The table was back rightside up, the nearby furniture were put back in place, and all the bottles had been properly disposed of. I was astonished at how quick everyone was to tidy up the place.
Over at the table, I saw Suika, Shinmy, Shion, Aunn and Clownpiece all sitting together. They all looked at me with hungry faces as I placed the dishes in front of them one by one. Suika and Shion wasted no time digging in, as expected of an Oni and a Poverty Goddess. Shinmy and Aunn have smaller appetites though so they went slower with their meals. Suika was already done with her dish by the time I sat down and began to eat.
“Geez Suika, can’t you slow down and enjoy the food a little?” Shinmy talked to Suika.
“Eh? It’s not my fault Reimu here makes such delicious food. I could eat this all day and always have room for more.” Suika said. “Speaking of…”
Suika looked over at Aunn’s dish, reaching a fork over to try and take some of her omelet rice. Aunn noticed and pulled her dish away from her.
“Aunn!!! Don’t eat from my plate!” Aunn said.
“Oh c’mon Aunn, just a little. I’ll only take a bit.”
“No!!!”
She raised the plate high up in the air, keeping it away from arms reach of Suika. Taking it as a challenge though, Suika tackled her, but Aunn kept the plate up high. Everyone else watched while I focused on eating my food. However, witnessing them fighting over someone else’s food did irritate me. So I knew I had to do something about it.
*WHACK*
I whacked Suika on the head, disciplining her not to steal from other people’s plates before I shortly went back to finish my plate. She remained at her spot on the table with a big bump, looking down while reflecting on her actions.
“Uuuuu…I just wanted to eat more of your food Reimu…” She said.
“Well then don’t steal next time. I can make more servings next time.” I tell her.
Aunn was able to enjoy her meal as did everyone else. Shortly after everyone finished I took the dishes back to the kitchen where I washed them clean. All the while I hummed a nice tune to myself.
I went back out to the living room after cleaning up. I looked at everyone who was around, seeing what they were doing.
I saw Aunn outside on all fours, looking up at the sky. Suika was next to her, already she was drinking out of her gourd even though she just had breakfast. Inside Shinmy was chatting with Shion about something, while Clownpiece was lying on her stomach, kicking her legs up in the air as though she was bored.
I should think about what I want to do right now.
Chapter 4
Summary:
Make Some Tea
Chapter Text
I feel like making tea. The weather outside is nice, and I don't think I have anything else going on for today that I need to worry about right now.
I went into the kitchen, opened the cabinet where I usually keep my tea set and kettle and pulled it out. I turned on the stove, filled the kettle with water, and began to steep some tea.
After deciding beforehand on what kind of tea I wanted, I decided on Black Tea for it's more sweet flavor. I also got some crackers I kept in the pantry.
It only took around five minutes to prepare the tea, the timer I had set indicated when it was done with a loud ring. I turned the timer and stove off and poured myself a cup of tea. I put the tea cup and some crackers on a tray as I went out to the veranda.
Suika and Aunn were both still out there, looking at me when I came out with my tea and snacks.
"Oh, food! Can I have some?" Suika asked without hesitation.
"You just ate breakfast Suika. Why are you asking for more food?" I asked.
"I'm just hungry, that's all. C'mon, please?"
"Sigh...No." I say.
Suika pouted, but didn't say anything else to me. I sat down, drinking my tea.
"Ahhhhh..."
The flavor melted in my mouth, bitter but sweet. The thoughts I had earlier today faded, becoming petals in the wind.
I let the moment sink in, my ears picking up the sound of the air, the trees, the birds, and of course the people around me.
...
Something's not right.
Something about this doesn't seem right.
Did I always enjoyed drinking tea out on the veranda? I mean, I always make tea and drink it, but is this something I always did?
The worries I had came back, as if they were crawling up my skin like spiders. I don't know why, these thoughts keep coming back over and over again, and I don't even know what is causing me to act and feel like this.
I drink more of my tea to calm myself down. It helped, but not enough. Those thoughts continue to keep striking me, drilling into my memories, enough so that I start to feel a headache come along, and my ears begin to ring.
Maybe the crackers would help. I took one of the crackers from the tray, biting into it with a loud crunch. I usually chewed slow, but I tried to chew faster in order to help get rid of the ringing. I took another cracker right as I finished the other one, and then another and shoved that one into my mouth while I was still eating the previous one.
What is going on? Why does my head feel weird? Why do I not feel like myself? My skin felt like it was tingling all over, shivers gone down and the ringing remained even when I tried muffling them with my ears.
My breathing grew rapid, and I began to sweat. My vision turned hazy, and I felt sick in the stomach. I felt something grab my shoulder, a voice speaking to me.
I turned my head, the figure almost blurry somewhat as I listened to their words. I didn't know what they were saying, it was too hard to distinguish. I felt my hand being grabbed, placed on their head.
Slowly, my vision went back to normal, the ringing in my ears stopped, and I was able to hear and look at the person who was speaking to me.
"Are you okay?" Aunn asked.
I noticed I had my hand on her head. I took it back as I looked down at it once again, starring.
"Reimu? Are you alright? You looked like you were panicking. I didn't know what else to do so I took your hand and placed it on my head."
"I...I'm alright Aunn." I tell her. "Thank you, but I'm fine." I say, not wanting her to worry about me.
"You sure? You looked like you were having some kind of mental breakdown." Suika said, speaking in a not-so worried manner. "Maybe you had too much to drink last night."
"Like I said, I'm fine. But thank you for worrying." I tell them. I drank the last of my tea right away, standing up and turned back inside the shrine. "You can finish off the crackers if you want." I tell Suika.
"Yes!!!" Suika cheered.
I went back into the kitchen, cleaning the tea cup with water before leaving it to dry. During which I let myself be deep in thought of what happened.
Do I usually experience that kind of thing? It doesn't feel like something I would feel? Again, I don't know what is going on with me, but I don't feel like myself.
Right then, I heard someone enter the kitchen. I look back and see Shinmy.
"Shinmy?" I say.
"Um, Marisa is here." She asked.
Marisa...Oh! Her!
She's my best friend! Of course I would know who she is!
The thoughts I had were replaced with the thoughts of Marisa instead. I thanked Shinmy and went back out to find the person who I assumed was there.
Wearing a black-white magician outfit, sporting yellow eyes and blonde hair, was my best friend Marisa Kirisame. I know her as a eccentric girl who has a tendency to do things that would get her in trouble one way or another, such as stealing from others or engaging in dangerous fights. Most of the time she usually intrudes at my home unannounced, but I do enjoy her company from time to time.
"Yo!!! Reimu!" Marisa said. "How's it going, ze?"
Ze? Does Marisa generally say that? I think I would know whether or not that is true.
Geez, stop it Reimu, now's not the time to question yourself, Marisa is here. I told myself internally.
"It's going well. What brings you here early in the day?" I ask.
"Huh? You don't remember?" Marisa asked me. "We planned it and everything a few days ago."
"We did?" I ask. "Um...What did we plan again?"
"C'mon Reimu! You know...The thing we always do!"
"Um..."
I tried to think of what exactly it was that Marisa and I do.
Chapter 5
Summary:
(Congratulations to u/TheFriedOreo, they win some free cheese)
Chapter Text
I thought long and hard about what it was we were doing. Nothing came in my mind, it was emptier than my own donation box.
"Screw it, I forgor." I say, realizing I said the last word in a strange way. "I just made some tea though, you wanna come in?"
"Oh, what kind of tea?" Marisa asked.
"Black."
"Eh, I prefer Green Tea, but oh well, ze. Besides, I didn't know what we were doing either."
She herself didn't even know what we were gonna do? I guess that explains why she was acting all coy with me.
I walked back inside, with Marisa behind. I went to the kitchen and poured Marisa and I a couple of cups with what was left in the kettle. Then I went back to the living area where I see Marisa already messing with Shinmy by having a battle of strength using just her finger. And Shinmy had already lost.
"Looks like I win again." Marisa said.
"That's only because I'm less than a foot tall! If I were bigger I would easily take you down!" Shinmy said.
"No offense but even when you're bigger you're like a foot shorter than I am." Marisa said, flicking Shinmy's bowl hat off.
"Hey! That's fragile!"
Marisa laughed while Shinmy ran to grab her bowl and put it back on. I however didn't enjoy seeing Marisa messing with Shinmy because of her size.
"Marisa, stop messing with Shinmy and drink your tea." I tell her.
"Aw, don't be like that Reimu, we were only having fun, ze-ow!"
Shinmy had bitten Marisa's finger when she wasn't looking. The small inchling quickly flew off before Marisa could reciprocate.
"Ah. For someone as small as her she sure has a bite." Marisa looked at her finger.
"Well now you know what not to do next time you're around her." I told her while I handed her her tea. "Here you go, it's not as hot as before so enjoy."
"Ah, thank you ze!" Marisa said, sipping some of her tea. "Ahhhh~ A nice, refreshing cup of Reimu's tea." She had a pleased look on her face.
"You're welcome." I say.
"Only second to Sakuya's."
"And I take it back..." I say before I go and drink my share of tea.
I didn't realize it earlier, but now it looked as though everyone else had gone. I don't see Shinmy or Shion anywhere, Suika and Aunn were still outside, and Clownpiece was nowhere to be seen. So that meant it was me and Marisa.
We drank our teas, enjoyed our company...and that was it.
To be honest, I can't think of anything else that's worth doing right now. It's not like I have anything else to do besides drink tea and sweep the shrine grounds.
And yet, I feel like I could be doing more, yet...
My head started to hurt again, not as much as before, but it still hurt. The ringing also came back, but not as loud. Why is this happening so much today?
"Hey Reimu? You okay?" Marisa asked.
As Marisa spoke to me, the pain stopped and the ringing faded.
"Y-Yeah Marisa. I just been having a headache all day for some reason." I tell her.
"Ah, that's it?"
I nod to her.
"Hmmm...Maybe it's because you drank so much yesterday. I mean then again, we all drank a TON of sake last night. I've been experiencing a bit of a hangover myself ze~!" She pointed at herself.
"Maybe. It's weird how I don't remember much that happened yesterday...Or the day before." I say.
"Relax Reimu, I'm sure you'll get better if you just lie down, relax, and let this ordinary magician heal you up." Marisa stood up from the table.
"Wait, what do you mean by that?" I ask. "Wait, w-what are you doing? Why are you getting closer? And what's with that look on your face?"
Marisa had a creepy smile on her face, her hands looked like they were wanting to grab something and she had a sinister laugh. I crawled back a bit before she jumped on me.
"WAH!!!"
I hit my head on the floor, looking up I see Marisa was now on top of me, starring down into my eyes.
"Gotcha ze."
"M-Marisa. W-what are you doing?" I ask. "Let go of my arms."
"Relax Reimu. I'm just providing you some nice and lovely R&R. Just close your eyes and I'll do the rest."
Chapter 6
Summary:
What would Keine do?
Chapter Text
I'm not sure why Keine of all people popped into my head. But as I imagined the school teacher, I thrust my head forward.
*BANG*
"OW!!!"
Augh! That hurts! I don't know why but I hit my head upon Marisa's. I felt the numbing pain on my forehead! I briefly looked at Marisa and she was the same.
"Owie! Reimu, why did you do that?" She asked.
"You were being all creepy!" I say, keeping my hand on my head. I do hope it doesn't leave a mark.
"I was just going to tickle you. Man, that really hurt."
I looked at Marisa, noticing the redness that was on her head. Oh no...
"Marisa, you're bleeding!" I tell her.
"Eh? I am?" Marisa checked her head, seeing the blood now on her hand.
"Don't worry, I'll go grab the first aid!"
I got up, I still felt dizzy from the pain but I should be fine. I rushed over to where I usually kept the first aid and pulled it out, then went back to Marisa who was messing with her head. Why was she doing that!?
"Lie down." I tell her, forcing her to sit down. "And move your hands away, you're only making the bleeding worse!"
"Wah! I'm fine Reimu! It's not that bad!"
I opened up the kit, pulling out some cleaning alcohol and some gauze to wipe off some of the blood, then I grabbed the bandages and wrapped them around Marisa.
"There, how are you feeling?" I asked her.
Marisa rubbed a hand on the applied bandage before answering. "I feel fine. The bleeding stopped."
"That's good. Sorry for hitting you." I tell her.
Marisa smiled at me. "Hey, it's alright ze. I'm surprised you did what Keine would do on a regular basis."
"Eh? I don't think Keine's the type who would do it regularly."
"Nah, I've seen her. One time she walked down the street, then a guy went and tried to touch her and she cracked his skull open and sent him straight to Eientei. I nearly dropped my dango when I saw that."
"Seriously?" I laughed a little. "Isn't she usually friendly?"
"Only if you don't try grabbing that ass of hers... I may have done it once before and barely got away with it."
"Wait, really?"
I know Marisa to be the type who would flirt or mess with other girls, but to think she would target the school teacher.
"Yeah, her hand nearly grazed the back of my shirt had I not jumped on my broom in the nick of time."
"W-why would you do that!?''
"Oh c'mon, have you seen what she's packing back there? It's like she took one of the giant peaches from heaven and taped both of them on each cheek!"
I moan, facepalming myself while I look at her. "Seriously, you know she can punish you for that?"
"With what law? Last I checked, the only person with authority over the humans would be you." Marisa pointed at me.
"...Oh yeah, I guess you're right."
It is strange how we still haven't implemented a law system in the Human Village. I'm also surprised that no one got greedy or malicious enough to do something that could be considered a crime.
Wait...Why don't I just make it so there are laws in the Human Village?
Chapter 7
Summary:
(Congratulations u/OniTenshi500, u/Olden-Mc-Garnen, and u/The_Dog_King_gamer, you all have won (Based on when I'm writing this). Unfortunately I only have one cheese at the moment so you two will have to fight over it.)
Chapter Text
"I got it!" I declared. "Let's make a constitution!"
"Eh???" Marisa was shocked by my sudden outburst. "How did you come up with that idea?"
"It's perfect really. We make a simple constitution that tells the humans of the village what they are and aren't allowed to do. I can already think of three rules that we can put in place right this instant!"
I got up, heading over to where I keep papers and my brushes and dropped them on the ground. I can worry about cleaning it up later. I pull out a brush, grabbed some ink and began writing.
"Oh, wow, you're actually serious about this!" Marisa exclaimed. "Man, I wonder what kind of laws you're going to make. Maybe a law making it so people have to donate to the shrine once a week, maybe make food free on Tuesdays, have it so that Marisa Kirisame will not be held accountable for any crimes of book theft."
"Great ideas Marisa, but not what I had in mind." I tell her. "Okay. So for our first law, I was thinking that we have it so whenever a human does something out of bounds, we feed them to youkai, no expections. Even something as simple as not returning an overdue book at Suzunaan shall get them directly fed to the stomach of Rumia or someone." I wrote down.
"Haha- Wait what?" Marisa's laughter came to a quick halt. "Wait, I thought youkai weren't allowed to eat humans from the village though."
"Only if they behave. Next, for our second law..." I began to write. "Everyone is required to perform a two minute dance once a day at noon. The dance itself shall be based on something from the outside world, I don't know yet but I'll figure it out." I wrote.
"Um...Okay? I guess."
"Glad you understand Marisa!" I tell her. "And finally, for our third and final law... Hm... It's too hard to describe with words, so I guess I'll just make a drawing to show instead." I say while drawing an image.
"...W-What the!? Reimu! Why does that look like Yuuka and Yukari doing the Horizontal Tango!?" Marisa shouted, blushing red like a tomato.
"The humans will get it when they see it." Reimu said. "But that should do it for now! Our constitution is complete!" I start to bring the papers back together in a neat fashion, then put the brushes back where they belong.
"Well ze... That was kinda fun I guess... I mean, you got me in the first half, but I guess this was a nice way of passing a little bit of time.
"Eh? What do you mean?" I ask.
"Well, you're not going to go and actually make those laws official. Besides, who is dumb enough to ratify them into actual law?" Marisa say.
...She's right. It's not like I could walk into the village and declare them on my own. Even if I'm the Shrine Maiden I doubt the humans would comply if they hear that they'll be susceptible to execution via a youkai's meal.
I started going into deep thought about this. I never really made any laws with the exception of the Spell Card Rules, but even that wasn't done on my own, I had to get help to make it official.
"Um...You are joking, right?"
I need to figure out who in Gensokyo, that wields a good amount of power over the humans who is also stupid enough to go along with this.

Kanako Yasaka/Suwako Moriya
Chapter Text
"I got it!!" I pound my hand with my fist. "Moriya Shrine's influence over the Human Village has been steadily growing with time. If I manage to convince them, I can get those laws established in no time!"
"EH!?" Marisa gasped.
"Thanks for the help Marisa, I can take it from here!" I tell her whilst leaving the shrine.
"W-wait, Reimu I thought you were just jok-"
I flew out into the sky, zooming over to Youkai Mountain as quickly as I can while holding the drafted laws in my hand.
"Reimuuuuuuu!!!"
...
The feeling of wind on my face. The coldness of the breeze, the movement of my body as though I was as light as a feather.
I was only flying like I normally would, yet there was something about this that felt special. As though I was taking my first flight. But that can't be right, I have flown several times in the past. Sometimes I even fly in my own home when I'm too lazy to walk. So how come I feel so...free?
The thought could wait for now however, I should focus on making my way over to Moriya Shrine.
I land upon the top of the mountain, close to a nearby lake. My feet touch the ground and I took a look around my surroundings. I could see the sight of trees, Moriya Shrine in the distance, and the ropeway from behind.
I should feel glad that I can fly instead of having to take that thing. Imagine if I had no idea of its existence and instead had to scale the mountain. But who would do something so idiotic?
I walked over to the shrine, seeing the front in all its glory. I walked up until I reached the entrance, and announced myself with a good ol' fashioned knock.
"Ah, coming." I heard a voice and footsteps which approached the door from the other side.
The door opened up, and I was greeted by a green haired girl with a gentle smile and wore a blue-white outfit. Her expression seemed very quiet and composed, as if a heavenly glow of an angel shined in my eyes.
"Ah, Reimu, welcome." Sanae said. "What brings you here so early in the day? Is there something of the matter?"
...Why do I get the feeling that some people are disappointed with the way the sweet and courteous Sanae I know well was acting?
"Hello Sanae." I say. "I was wondering if your parrrrrrrrrrrrrr..." I stopped, changing what I was about to say. "Rrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy-your goddess are home at the moment?"
"Huh? Oh, You mean Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama?" Sanae asked. "They left a while ago to take care of something regarding the Tengu. But you can stay in here for a bit until they come back."
"Sure, I can take you up on that offer." I tell her.
I walk into the Shrine with Sanae. I had been here before, right? It feels familiar, yet at the same time I don't recognize it. But why?
As I thought about that, I felt the ringing in my ears return for a moment, but stopped abruptly when I entered the Living Room with Sanae.
I sometimes forget that Sanae is from the outside world. Considering she has something called a flat-screen TV that's taking up the majority of space over by one of the walls. There was a sofa big enough for three people to sit on, a wooden table, a bunch of rectangular boxes with controllers, a miniature shrine over at the corner, and an aquarium with three fish swimming inside.
"Huh, I don't remember Sanae ever having fish. Let alone three of them." I thought.
"So, while we wait for Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama to come back, I figured we could play some games together?" Sanae said, turning on the TV. "I am so glad the Kappa were able to build us a router strong enough to access the internet from the outside world. Oh...What would I do without YouTube and cat videos?" She shed a tear, imaging a horrible future where she couldn't access modern technology.
"Um...Okay. I don't really know what a YouTube is, but I'm open to try one of your games." I tell her.
"Great! I have so many to choose from!" She pulled out a box labled 'Sanae's Favorites'. "Pick whichever one you want!"
I look into the box, finding quite a strange number of different shaped objects ranging from bulky rectangular objects to flat circles with holes in them. I knew I'll have to choose something. I pull out a few to pick from, checking the names to see which one would be best to try.

Seihou Project
Chapter Text
I pull out a strange looking disc, noticing its strange design and title. For some reason I feel like I was holding onto something that could be potentially paradoxical, but maybe it's just my imagination.
"Huh. I don't remember owning that game." Sanae said as she grabs the disc from me. "Seihou Project? Sounds interesting. Wonder if any of my consoles can play it."
She tried inserting into many of the boxes she owns, but they all rejected the disc like a child spitting out food they dislike. I look at Sanae who didn't know what to do.
"Hah...I guess I'll have to use the usual technique." Sanae said. She places her hands on the ground, and a magic circle forms in front of her. She began to chant, muttering words both in Japanese and what I presume is English. And then she ends it with saying:
"MIRACLE CREATE!!!"
A flash of light blinds me for a moment, only to fade and nothing else of particular interest. But suddenly:
*POP*
Out of thin air a bulkier rectangle box appears, I sometimes forget how Sanae's ability works in that regard, I remember this one time when she wanted more soy sauce for her ramen, but instead of asking for it she used a miracle to make more appear. A bit too much however. I had to make her scrub off all the soy sauce from my tatami mats.
Wait, did I just remember that memory or-
"Yay! It works!"
I snapped out of my thought. I look at Sanae, I notice she had taken the box and insterted it into another box with a screen on it.
I walk over to her, looking into the screen and hearing music play and Sanae controlling a character using the buttons on some other contraption. Is it some kind of magic relic of sorts?
These are things I should go ask Rinnosuke about...Wait, who is he aga-
"Wah! I got hit!" Sanae said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Here, your turn now!"
"Wha? Hey don't push me!"
I taken over Sanae's place. I was looking at the screen and I saw images of enemies moving around, shooting bullets and lasers.
What came over me afterwards was instinct. I flew around, avoiding all the bullets, taking down the enemies one by one by pressing and holding the buttons. I even got far enough to face a boss enemy, and took them down in less than a minute.
"Wow... You're so good at this!" Sanae said. "How are you so good? I thought you never touched a video game in your life Reimu!"
She's right. I never played any games before. The closest thing I would consider would have to be Chess.
"I guess it's because all those years of solving incidents was like muscle memory to me." I say.
"Eh? No, I doubt it. I mean sure, you're a great incident resolver but..." Sanae looked deep in thought for a second. "You acted like you had played this before."
???
I didn't understand what she meant? I played this before?
I was about to ask her what she's talking about when we both hear the sound of someone coming in.
"Sanae, we're home!"
"Ah, Kanako-sama! Suwako-sama!" Sanae stood up from her spot to go and greet her mo- I mean goddesses. I figure out how to pause the game and then got up myself.
I look at who came in, seeing two figures of different sizes and stature. First was Kanako Yasaka, wearing a red shirt with a black dress, bearing blue hair, and a necklace with a mirror attached. Then there was Suwako Moriya, with blonde hair, a purple shirt, and her hat with those eyes on them.
"Oh, Reimu. I wasn't expecting you to come here." Kanako said to me.
"Ah, it's alright, I apologize for my unannounced arrival." I say. "I actually came here to talk to you about something."
"Something? Like what?" Suwako asks me. "Is it important?"
"Well, something like that."
"The thing is..."

Summary:
(Congratulations to u/S_spam and u/OniTenshi500, you both earn yourselves some nice cheese. However, since I only have one you two will need to decide who gets it via a game of chess)
Chapter Text
Originally I came here to show Kanako and Suwako a few laws that I made up on the spot, with the intent on making a constitution that the humans would have to follow to ensure there would be no Chaotic Anarchy.
However, why stop there? Why not pursue a different kind of goal instead?
Moriya Shrine has a well-known reputation by now, and they get a lot of visitors even despite being on top of Youkai Mountain. But the one thing that Hakurei Shrine has that they don't is reliableness. The humans always rely on Hakurei when an incident is afloat or if some youkai decide to go rogue and ensue havoc. Sure they can do the same thing, but everyone knows that I resolve the majority of the incidents by my own hand.
Perhaps if we were to merge; combine the popularity of Moriya with the power of Hakurei, we could make a new shrine, gather tons of more faith and everyone would be happy knowing there are two shrine maidens who shall always be there to protect them!
And why just stop with a business agreement? Why not go further?
*riiiiiiing*
The ringing has started to come back, but I ignored it for now, knowing it would go away. My mind thinks of wedding bells, traditional kimono wear, me as the groom and Suwako as the bride. If I were to marry the goddess here, then that would technically make Sanae my descendant, meaning I can act as her mother-in-law; make her clean the house, make food, all the while I mock her by saying she's a no-good daughter-in-law, exactly as tradition goes in the common Japanese household.
With my luck, I can get Suwako to fall in love with me in an instant. Then we elope, have kids, and I can teach all of them how to beat up a poor innocent youkai using only their bare hands.
I smile to myself, and the ringing in my head only gets louder, but again I ignore it.
"Um, Reimu? You gotten very quiet all of a sudden." I hear Sanae's voice. "Is something wrong?"
"No, it's nothing. I just wanted to clarify with myself about what I was going to say." I tell her.
I turn back around at Suwako and Kanako, just as my vision began to blur. But I continue to ignore it, nothing is going to stop me now.
"The thing is. I came here because I have two very important things I like to ask of you. One of which is for you, Suwako." I say.
"Important? What is so important Reimu?" Kanako spoke.
"Yeah, and why me specifically? And don't tell me you want to eat flies at your house again. Just because I'm associated with frog doesn't mean insects are part of my diet." Suwako said.
"No no no... That's not it at all..." I tell her. "I'm here because..."
"...Because what?" Suwako said. "...Um, hello?"
"Reimu? What is *gasp*" I hear Sanae's voice. "R-Reimu, your nose is bleeding!"
"Eh? Why are you suddenly bleeding a... sud...en..."
My hearing turned mute, all I hear is that same ringing noise. Pain began to fill my chest and my face, I felt myself lurch over, my body shaking. I saw nothing but colors in my eyes, I wanted to speak but I didn't know what to say.
I began to panic, I start to move all over, hitting the furniture and toppling over the stack of games Sanae owned. I found myself close to a wall which I used as leverage.
What is going on? Why won't it stop? Why won't my body stop hurting!? Where is all of this coming from!?
"O U T."
Huh? A voice? Why does it sound familiar?
"G E T O U T."
I wanted to ask who they were, why can I hear them inside me. Why they sound exactly like me.
But all I heard as their screaming voice yelling so loud into my ears, louder than the immense ringing.
"G E T O U T O F M Y B O D Y!!!"
And that was when it all came to a halt. The ringing stopped, my vision turned back, and all the pain ended.
Instead, I fell over to the floor, collapsing as my sight turned black, and all I could hear was Sanae's shout of concern.
"Reimu!!!"
...
...
...
"Oh my."
Huh? A voice? I think I recognize that voice? I think their name was... Yukari?
"I knew Reimu was stubborn and relentless, but I didn't think she would force you out of her body. And after all the effort I went to just to have you possess her, even letting you share all her memories with her."
What is Yukari talking about? I'm supposed to be Reimu, right? Or at least, I was.
"Well...I didn't think it would last that long either to be fair. Had you kept yourself content with where you were I'm certain she wouldn't have struggled as much as she did to get her body back. But you had to go and attempt what you just did."
"Though, I can't blame you. The life of a Shrine Maiden is quite dull. Other than drinking tea and tending to the Shrine, Reimu doesn't have anything else worth doing. You could say that her life revolves around others. She's like a dull and boring moon, only able to get pass by because she orbits planets far more fascinating than herself."
I don't really get what she is going with this. But I think I get the idea now. What I had experienced was some kind of possession. I possessed everything about Reimu; her body, her personality, her memories...
The only thing I didn't replace was Reimu herself though. But to think I was walking around as her without being aware of who or what I was.
"Fufufu... It looks like you have figured it out already. I guess you're more perceptive than I assumed. Or maybe you got that from Reimu? Well, it doesn't matter. What does matter is what you do now."
*snap*
Mirrors began to pop up around me once again. The reflections showed different people, but not the same as before. I saw people I don't think I have met before, let alone know that well.
"I thought about letting you decide from the same pool again, but that would be boring, and highly repetitive of me. So instead I'll give you a different selection. And do not worry, I'll ensure that you won't suffer from all those headaches and ringing you received before... Well, depending on who you decide on that is."
"Choose Wisely, fellow Gensokyian."
Chapter Text
...
...
"Oh? What's this?"
"You're not deciding for some reason...Or rather someone or something is saying that you don't want to go this path."
"You didn't feel like you deserved to be kicked out prematurely. Hm...I guess you're right."
"Maybe it was unfair to have you be departed from Reimu so early. Maybe you weren't ready yet."
"I suppose I'll have to apologize for that. To make it up, I'll send you back."

And why just stop with a business agreement? Why not go further?
Huh...For some reason I feel like I thought of this before...Oh well.
I clear my throat before speaking. "Today, I have come here for two things. One of which is directed towards you, Suwako." I say.
"Eh? Me?" Suwako asked. "What do you want with me specifically? And don't tell me you have flies in your house again. I already told you I'm not a frog goddess."
"No no, I'm not here for that. Besides, I got myself a special device that's used to exterminate flies with a single strike from Kourindou. I think he said it was a flyswatter. But I'm getting off track."
I stand forward at the two, with Sanae looking at me on the side with a look of confusion while I show a confident look on my face.
"I'm here, to make an offer: I want Moriya Shrine to merge into Hakurei Shrine."
Suwako and Kanako blinked. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"I said, I want to merge your shrine with mine. I want to combine the popularity of Moriya with the strength of Hakurei. I believe by doing this we can increase the amount of faith we gather; recieve more praise and worshipers from the human village."
"EH!?" Sanae was in shock. "What are you saying Reimu!? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Sanae, I just had a revelation is all." I tell her. "But what about you both, you think you're okay making a business deal? I know you especially would Kanako."
Kanako's looks to be in deep thought. She looks like she was thinking hard about this, considering the pros and cons of going along with the unification.
"Honestly, I'm surprised you of all people would come here to ask such a thing. I did consider the possibility of us working together in the case one of us was in danger of losing faith." Kanako said. "But are you sure about this Reimu? It'll take a lot of effort to convince everyone else, including the sages of Gensokyo to make something like this happen."
"Convincing?" I ask. "I don't think it would be that hard to convince everyone. If anything I think it would be easy to convince the human villagers. Of course, I do see Yukari and Kasen being troublesome...But maybe if I get Okina on my side, we can make it work."
"How do you plan on getting Okina on your side?"
"I don't know, I'll come up with something."
"Wait!!!" Sanae pushes me and Kanako back. "Hold on! You're not actually serious about this are you!? I mean, don't get me wrong, I think it would be interesting to have both our shrines combine...But how can you of all people go along with this!?"
Weird, I was under the impression that Sanae would agree with me on this matter. I guess I'll have to show how serious I really am.
"Well, there's one other thing that I came here for also..."
I look at Suwako, my face changes to a more serious expression. I walk over to her, and got down onto one knee, grabbing the goddess's hands with my own. A shame I didn't bring a ring with me.
"Suwako Moriya... Will you marry me?" I ask.
Her eyes widen, stretching out to their limits before her eyes can pop out. Her mouth opens up, her jaw drops with the most shocking face I ever seen anyone make. I bet Kanako and Sanae are equally shocked as she is right now, but I don't care, this is how I feel.
I wait for a response. I keep on waiting, and waiting...but I got no response back.
Suwako's face froze, her hands stiffen around mine. I think she passed out from astoundment.
"Um...Suwako?" I ask again.
"..."
"Reimu."
I look back, seeing Kanako now towering over me with a no-so-pleased expression. Her arms were crossed and I could hear the sound of thunder cracking from afar.
"It is one thing to come ask to merge our shrines together, but it's another thing to come here just to ask Suwako...My wife, in marriage."
"Wait what-"
The next thing that happens, I got shot out of the shrine by a pillar. I land near where the lake is as I got back up. But now my body hurts. I feel pain on my ribcage and my stomach, the sensation of puking out hit me.
I look back at the Shrine, seeing Kanako walking over as though she's preparing for battle. I think I have made a mistake in proposing to the frog goddess.
"I'm going to show you the consequences of trying to take someone's wife!" She shouts.
Chapter 12
Summary:
STAND YOUR GROUND
Chapter Text
Oh, I think I made a big mistake here. How could I forget that Kanako and Suwako were married? Heck, I'm pretty sure Sanae told me all about it once during one of our usual parties.
But I can't back down now, after all I didn't come all the way up here just to be chased away by a pillar goddess. I need to show her how serious I am.
"I won't back down Kanako!" I tell her. "I already beaten you once in the past, I'm certain that I can-"
*WHOOSH!!!*
Oh god! One of her pillars nearly took my head off. Had I not ducked in time I think I would've been like a headless chicken!
I take another look at her...Oh god she's mad, pissed even. I notice a formation of rainclouds above, thunder cracking and water pouring down hard like danmaku. Wait, IT IS DANMAKU!!!
I had to keep on dodging all over the place. I tried to fight back but everytime I made a move another pillar would be shot at me. How many of these things does this woman have!?
With no other choice, I activate one of my own spell cards.
"Fantasy Seal!"
Multicolored yin-yang orbs come flying out, blasting through her danmaku and managing to hit her a few times, but the last few phased through her right when she turned intangible for a moment. Darn it, I forgot she can do that also.
Another wave of her danmaku comes at me yet again, keeping me on my toes. I knew that if I want to do this, I'll need to get in close. Fortunately this isn't the first time I seen this pattern.
I swerve around the bullets, coursing through the small yet noticeable openings one by one. I made good progress! At this rate I should be able to-
pichun!!
"Owie!!!" I yell. What the? That wasn't supposed to happen. Did she change up her danmaku from last time? Crap, this isn't good.
"I'll be sure to give you a merciful send-off. Give my regards to the yama." Kanako said.
"Wait what!? You're making it sound like you're going to kill me!" I say.
...
Oh shoot, she is trying to kill me isn't she?
"Can't we discuss this like adults!?" I tell her, fearing the wrath of the goddess down upon me.
"We are discussing this like adults! This is the most proper form of discussion!" She says, throwing down more danmaku and pillars at me.
How is any of this proper!? I thought to myself. Regardless I was forced to keep on dodging, keep on rolling, keep on shooting back to no avail.
Pillars came at me from the ground, erupting through the rock and dirt. It forced me to be sent upward into the air to avoid the ever ensuing onslaught of projectiles and obstacles.
I'm starting to get tired; but she didn't show any sign of slowing down. What am I supposed to do?
"Reeeeeeimuuuuuu~"
Hearing a voice, I turn around into the sky and see a familiar black-white magician come towards the shrine. What is Marisa doing here?
At that moment, I notice Kanako was distracted, basing on the amount of danmaku in the air compared to a moment ago.
"Huh? Marisa?" Kanako said.
Now's my chance! Using another one of my spell cards, I eliminate all the danmaku that was in front of me, blasting it all away. I charge right at Kanako, bashing her across with my gohei and knocked her over to where the lake was.
"Reimu! What is going on!? Why are you fighting Kanako?" Marisa asked me once she arrived.
"Long story, what brings you here?" I ask.
"I was trying to stop you from making those stupid laws Reimu! You didn't actually try anything did you!?"
"Eh? No, of course not. I already forgot about that already!" I say. "Anyways, I'm currently in the middle of something so-"
*KABLAM*
An explosive projectile nearly took me and Marisa out. We both look over and saw Kanako standing there, with a massive cannon that towered above her.
"Behold! The result of my creative intellect and the craftsmanship of the kappa! I call it the Anti-Tengu Cannon!" Kanako shouted. "And you will be my first test target!"
"The Anti-Tengu what no-" Marisa said.
I grab Marisa and we jump oursleves out of the way of the projectile's path. Another massive explosion occurs, loud enough for Sanae to come out with the still stunned Suwako on a dolly.
"Reimu! Kanako-sama! Stop please! If you keep this up the shrine will get damaged!" She shouts.
Ugh...What did I get myself into...I need to finish this now.
"Oh, she looks mad. As in 'I'm going to kill you and use your corpse for an experiment' kind of mad." Marisa says. "What in the name of Hakurei did you do to tick her off?"
"Like I said, long story. But don't worry, I have a plan." I tell her. "Go distract her and her cannon while I change up my ultimate spell card."
"Your ultimate spell card?" Marisa asks me.
"Yes. Now quick! Or else we'll end up like Aya in the near future!"
"Okay! I got it!"
Marisa swoops into the sky with her broom.
"Hey! You Mountain Mama KanKan Snake Hag Garter Grammako!" Marisa says.
That did the trick as I see Kanako immediately divert her attention up at Marisa, along with her cannon.
"I may be a snake, and a lot of other things. But don't you call me granny!" Kanako shouted. "Fire!!!"
Marisa flew around in the air, doing her best to dodge all the oncoming explosions while I went and prepared my ultimate spell card. I fly right at Kanako, before she can have any time to act.
"Ultimate...Spell Card..."
I ready out my most powerful spell card at her, holding it in my hands.
"Kanako-sama!!! Look out!!!" Sanae shouts.
"WAAAAHHH! Hurry Reimu!" Marisa says.
"Huh?" Kanako looks at me.
"ATTACK!!!" I scream.
I present my spell card at Kanako...Which just so happened to be...
Chapter 13
Summary:
A Marriage Certificate
Chapter Text
I hold out a piece of paper, documented with al the boxes and lines for all the signatures that I need to make anything official. I have not written anything in yet, but I know I will.
"Eh? W-what's this?" Kanako asks me. She looks quite confused while she sees the paper. She thought I was going to use an actual attack, but oh how I proved her wrong. "T-this is a-"
"Kanako Yasaka." I began. "I'm sorry that we got on the wrong track. I forgotten you and Suwako were already together. So me trying to get in the way of that is wrong." I say.
"Eh?" Marisa said.
"Eh?" Sanae said.
"But now I realize that I have gone this the wrong way. I don't just love Suwako, I love you as well. So please, will you marry me?" I ask.
"EEEEEEHHHH!?!?" Both Marisa and Sanae say.
Obviously just marrying Suwako isn't enough. She may be the owner of the Shrine, but Kanako is both the brains and brawns, so it makes more sense if I propose to her as well. If I were to marry both Kanako and Suwako, then all should be well, right?
"You...What...Are you saying?" Kanako asks me. "You mean to tell me that not only do you intend on trying to steal Suwako, but you already had your eyes on me?"
"Yes. Without a doubt." I say.
"You...You think you can be so bold, so...ignorant of the consequences of what you say." Kanako spoke with a dark aura that rose up. "Assuming that you can fly away from any problem because of your ability, that there is nothing that will bring you down to the ground level of reality."
Oh, did I make her madder than before? She looks like she's about to crush me with a boulder of some kind. I sweat a little, nervous that I made the wrong choice.
"Um, well it's not like I struggle with anything." I say.
"Well, if you think you are this serious about all of this. Then I guess there's only one last thing I'll have to say to get it through your head for once." Kanako reaches a hand out at me, her other hand pulls out a thin object. I get even more worrisome that it is some kind of weapon, or worse, a restraining order!
She swipes the certificate out of my hands, I had no time to pull it back to me. I fear she would tear it apart, shove the restraining order on me as I get sent down to Eiki's court room where I would be forced to spend eternity scrubbing her bathroom with a toothbrush!
"Ah! No, I'm sorry! Don't press charges on...me?"
I look up, and lo and behold she held a pen in her other hand while she quickly scribbles all the important details down before finishing it off with her signature at the bottom of the page.
"There, it's done. Now it's official." Kanako said.
"W-wait what? I-I thought you were mad at me." I say.
"Mad? Oh Reimu darling...I'm the happiest girl in the world right now!!!"
She grabs me, squeezing my spine with the grip of a woman who bench-presses the earth. She kisses me all over the face, sucking the air out of my lungs until I turn limp with my legs dangling inches off the ground.
"Uhhhhhh..." Marisa acted confused, she watches me be smothered by Kanako. Kanako took a moment to let go of me, I am now able to breathe again.
"Oh, I am so happy. I've been waiting to this moment for the longest time! Ever since I met you I wanted nothing more than to make you my wife! Ah, but a certificate isn't enough; we need an actual wedding! We'll need to plan a wedding event and everything!"
Kanako spins round and round, skipping back over to tell Sanae and Suwako of the big news. I watch her go with a happy smile on my face, only to be tapped on the shoulder by Marisa.
"Oh, hey Marisa. Wha-"
"Reimu. What is going on?" Marisa asks me. "Why the hell did Kanako started talking about weddings? What was with the certificate? What did I miss?"
"Oh, relax, can't a girl propose to someone without any trouble?" I say. "Besides, it's been a long time coming."
"You...What??? I don't understand!" Marisa says.
"It's okay Marisa. You'll get used to it." I tell her. "For now, I'll need to start getting accostumed with my future daughter-in-law."
"Sanae is literally the same age as you!"
"So? That still makes me her mother regardless of our age gap."
I turn around, heading back over to Moriya Shrine, I'll need to start thinking about what I'm going to do now that I'll be getting married soon. Marisa on the other hand stood there, befuddled.
---
Several weeks later...
It was now the big day. The bells rang and white doves flew with cherry blossoms falling down. It took a lot of effort and a looooooot of paper work, but we managed to get everything set up and ready for our wedding ceremony. Taking place at my home, Hakurei Shrine, we had our ceremony. I stood there at the front of the shrine, wearing a proper wedding kimono suited for grooms, while Marisa, my best friend stood by crying with tears.
"*Sniff* Oh my god, you're so beautiful Reimu..." Marisa wept, blowing her nose with a tissue. "I can't believe you're actually going through with all of this."
I look at the people who fill up the seats. On my side there were all the people who usually loiter/live in my home; Suika, Shinmy, Aunn, Shion and Clownpiece. I see the members of the SDM, the people from Hakugyokurou, and of course, Yukari as she waves at me alongside Kasen at the back.
On the other side, the side for all the people who came to see Kanako and Suwako were the Tengu, the Kappa, and a bunch of frogs. (geez, that's a lot of frogs). Yet I don't see Sanae anywhere else.
But then there they came: Kanako and Suwako. Both wearing beautiful wedding dresses, their viels covering their equally elegant faces, as they walk down the path forward up to where I am.
"You both look beautiful." I say. "No, really, you're so beautiful."
"Thank you dear." Kanako said.
And now it was time for the person who is going to help marry me with Kanako and Suwako, and that person just so happened to be...

Chapter Text
Of all the people why him!?!? And he's not even wearing a shirt! And is that the freaking bible he's holding? I SAID I WANTED NO CHRISTIANITY ON MY VERY JAPANESE WEDDING!!!
"Good day everyone. We are gathered here to witness the marriage between Reimu Hakurei, Kanako Yasaka, and Suwako Moriya! Now, before we begin. Does anyone have any objections, or forever hold your peace."
Peh, of course no one is going to object to this wedding, after all I made sure that all the people who are obviously in love with me wouldn't object. Not even Remilia over where since I had the Kappas install a sun lamp directly over her seat. I can see her cowering from the power of the sun. This wedding is 100% objection proof.
"Hm...Well, I guess there will be no objections for-"
"OBJECTION!!!"
*loud gasping noises*
I look over, far away from the shrine, down the steps, through the forest, over at the Human Village, past the Human Village, right at the border on the other side of Gensokyo... oh just kidding they're right there, was Sanae Kochiya.
"S-Sanae!? W-what is going on!?" Kanako asks her. "I thought you were fully supportive of our choice!"
"Y-Yeah! You even said you were okay calling me 'mom', even though we're practically the same age!" I say.
"I don't care! There is no way that I can let this happen!" Sanae rushes right at me and Kanako, holding what looks to be a toy sword she got from Kourindou. "Take this you Mom-stealer!!! Hyaaaahhh!!!"
"Waaaahhh!!!" I scream.
"Aaaaahhh!!!" Marisa screamed.
"Yaaahhh!!!" Kanako Screamed.
"Nooo!!!" Suwako screamed.
Suwako took the blow which was meant for me, the impact of the foam weapon causes her to fall to the ground, her wedding dress now ruined.
"Suwako!" I get down to help her up. "Suwako! Speak to me! Are you okay!?"
"N...No...W-what have I done..." Sanae said as she drops the sword.
"Ugh...It is the end for me...Oh, how I have fallen." Suwako says.
"No, please, don't go! I-I'm pregant with your baby Suwako! I can't become a single mother!" I say.
"Wait, when did you have time to get frisky?" Marisa asked me.
"Hehe... Reimu, I'm sure you will be a great mother, even while I'm gone. D-don't let my death burden you, promise me?" Suwako said.
"I...I promise." I say with a face full of tears pouring down like a waterfall.
"Good...And Kanako." Suwako turns her head to look at Kanako.
"Y-Yes?" Kanako asks.
"...I'm divorcing you. Bleh." Suwako said while dying.
"W-wait what?"
---
And so... I finally got married to Kanako. Unfortunately I wasn't able to marry Suwako due to her 'dying' during the wedding.
Unfortunately, since she also divorced Kanako, that also meant that Kanako no longer had any connections to Moriya Shrine, and as a result, the shrine went directly to Sanae instead as she is the last of Suwako's descendants. Not only that but Sanae completely halted any and all attempts to unify Moriya Shrine with Hakurei Shrine.
But that was the least of my problems...
...
It had been days since I have left my home, let alone my own room. Everyday I lay chained to my own bed, covered in talismans made to prevent my ability from ever activating. Everyone who used to live with me has now moved out, except for Aunn of course. But she's not the same any longer.
What used to be a cute little Komainu turned into a savage beast that always keeps a close eye on me; making sure I would never try to escape should an opportunity arise. I already learned the hard way of what would happen if I try after having my left leg chewed off and amputated.
I lay there, waiting until I see the door open yet again, revealing a woman who I have seen almost every other day, and the only other person besides Aunn who I get to see.
"Good morning Reimu~" Kanako said in a creepy voice. "How is my darling doing on this fine day?"
"..." I say nothing, because I have nothing else to say.
"Still not speaking? Maybe you're just hungry. Here,"
Kanako spoon-fed me some porridge, it had a bittersweet, milky flavor to it. But it was a taste that I had already gotten used to.
"Is it good? I bet so. After all, I was the one who made it." Kanako said.
"..."
"...Oh c'mon Reimu...Can't you talk to me? I'm your wife now afterall...Or are you thinking of other women again?" She says, crushing the bowl of porridge with her bare hand in front of me. "Oops, I made another mess! Teehee~ Let me go clean that up, I'll be right back!"
She left again, and now I'm all alone with Aunn...again.
...To think that after marriage I would end up trapped inside my own house, forced to live with a Yandere of a housewife?
But, I guess I chose this afterall...Tis the consequences of my own actions...
...This is what I get for having such high expectations.
---
You got the "Yandere Kanako Housewife" Ending.
---
"Ah...So it has finally ended...In a very terrible note."
"Oh well, least it's a better ending than what was originally planned for this. But, why do I get the feeling that there was room for more improvement?"
"Maybe the narrator of the story didn't know what they wanted to do, so they went and forced the story to end faster than it should. Or maybe it was all made up from the very beginning."
"Well, regardless...I guess the only thing now is to try again. It's not like we could waste such an opportunity such as this one, only to end it while it can still run."
"So...Choose Wisely, Fellow Gensokyian."
"Oh, and don't worry about the current state of things, I'll be sure to reset the timeline back to how things were before your interference."

"So you decided on her after all. I had a feeling you would go for her after what just happened."
"Though, I was expecting you to go for someone more cliche, considering past recordings...Maybe I misjudged your behavior after all."
"Oh, and I do apologize for making you wait so long. It seems trying to make a soft reboot of a story is much more time consuming than I had thought."
"Well, let's not waste anymore time then! 3,2,1 let's go!"
*SNAP*
---
I remember the time when I was born, crying hysterically upon awakening and causing disruption for everyone else. I wanted to be held by someone, yet the person who gave birth to me was already gone before I could understand the definition of 'mother'.
I remember laying in my crib, looking up to see two figures I had never seen before, yet for some reason I had grown almost immediately attached to them both. They had looked excited when they realized I could see them.
I remember learning how to say 'mama' for the first time...even though I ended up saying it to one of our goddesses. But they didn't mind it, if anything I think they enjoyed it.
I remember growing up to be able to attend school. I was scared, but I knew that Kanako and Suwako would look over me if I were in any trouble.
I remember beginning my training to become the next wind priestess of Moriya, in order to make my late mother proud.
I remember making tons of friends, happy knowing I now had a life outside of my shrine.
I remember attending junior high for the first time, sad knowing most of my friends have moved or gone to different schools instead of me. But as long I had Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama, I'll be fine.
I remember meeting a boy in one of my classes, wanting to get to know him more by any means.
I remember when that same boy already got taken by another girl in our class, and how I felt disheartened. But I still had two people to support me.
I remember when I arrived at High School, around the same time I completed my training and became a Priestess.
I remember when our shrine was rapidly losing faith...How we started losing funding due to lack of donations, and the number of relatives and members who came to me, begging for some miracle.
I remember crying in my room that night when I overheard Kanako and Suwako talk about how they may disappear in a few weeks.
I remember the time Kanako came to me, telling me of what their plan is, and how I may never see them again.
I remember crying into her arms, begging to go with her and Suwako.
I remember the time when I arrived in Gensokyo for the first time...only to start a small incident immediately after due to all my excitement.
I remember...
---
---
---
---
A beautiful morning...the sound of birds chirping, the warmth of the sun glistening, the gentle breeze of the wind.
I arose from the covers of my sheets, my lush hair, green as the grass and leaves outside the shrine that is my home. With a simple brush of my hand, I was able to let it flow even though there was no wind, an simple yet indescribable example of my miracle power.
"Yawwwwwnnnn... In the name of Hakurei, I have dreamt as though I had such a wondorous dream." I say. "I must inform my mum and my mother about this. But first I need to ensure I am properly dressed for today." I say, looking at my sleepwear.
I quickly went and took a nice shower, cleansing myself of any filth that may have gotten on me during the night, then I went and put on my most lavishing outfit suited for a Priestess such as I. Afterwards I went to where my living quarters would be located.
The sound of classical music coming from the record played out, and the delightful scent of sizzling breakfast was caught by my nose. Mmmm, scrambled eggs and bacon, a classic~. Our living room was filled with furniture and decorations; even our three little goldfishes matched the environment, what with their tophats and their monocles. I still wonder why and how they managed to acquire that kind of attire, let alone the bewildering phenomenon that is their tea parties. Oh no matter, I'm certain it is nothing to over-complicate.
I went to the kitchen where my wonderful and elegant mother, Kanako Yasaka, was humming along with the music while she wore her finest dress.
"Good morning mother." I tell her. She turned around, wearing an apron that says 'Property of the Frog Goddess'.
"Ah, good morning Sanae dear. I see you are awake."
"Indeed I am. Mother, listen, I had the strangest dream ever. You were all in there, and even Reimu of the house of Hakurei was there also and-"
"Oh, a dream about us? Splendid, tell me about it later when we are all on the table. Breakfast will be ready quite soon so please inform your mum, I recall her still sleeping in the other room." Kanako said to me.
"Ah, of course, I shall do that." I say.
I left the kitchen and walked past the living room, heading back down the hall until I arrived at the room where my mum was in.
Walking inside, I could see a king-sized bed resting in the middle of the room, topped with curtains for privacy, scented candles by the corner, and a large X over the opposite wall. I'm not quite sure why something like that is in here, but I'm not someone to judge.
I went over to the bed, peeking my head past the curtains to find my mum snoring loud. Oh my, it looked like she had been tossing and turning all night long. But even then I still need to wake her up.
But how should I go about waking her...?

Summary:
Tickle Suwako's Feet
Chapter Text
Ah, of course. I'll use the feather of a white swan and tickle mum's feet. That'll get her up in a jiffy.
Using a miracle, I managed to locate a white swan somewhere in a random location, and then plucked their feather off. I do hope they didn't min the sudden pluckiness that happened, but I'm certain they wouldn't think too much about it.
After the feather appeared in my hand, I got to work, hopping onto the mattress and slipped underneath the sheets. If anyone were to come in here all they would see is the local bed lump out in the wild.
I shimmy through the sheets, until I was able to locate the tiny little feet of my mum. With the feather I gently moved it across the sole of her foot, treading downward towards the arch, and then making my way to her heel. I notice her toes wiggling as I slowly moved the feather.
"Tickle tickle tickle." I say, moving the feather up and down faster and faster. Her foot began to twitch and shake, enough so that I had to grab hold of her legs to prevent any possible kicking to my chin.
"Tickle tickle tickle!"
I began to hear laughter. She must be awake now, splendid! But I want to make sure she is fully awake. I kept on going, tickling her feet as much as I can.
"Ahahaha!!! Stop it!! Stop!!!" She said. "I'm awake Sanae! Stop it already!"
Oh, I was having so much fun, I forgot the reason why I came in here. I just wanted to mess with mum for the time being with this little feather!
"Tickle tickle tickle!!! Tickle tickle tickle!"
"Sanae I said stop!!!" Suwako shouted. I felt the entire sheet be pulled off of me as I was exposed to the natural light that came from the window close by. I felt a pair of hands grab me and started pulling on my face, and I was met with the angry look of mum.
"Uweeh...Good morning mum." I say while my cheeks were being pulled on.
"Jeez Sanae, don't you know it is rude to wake someone up with a feather? Why couldn't you have done something more clever like, say for example, whisper gently into my ear?" She asked.
"I'm sorry mum...Could you let go of my face now?"
I felt my face be snapped back in place, but now my cheeks were slightly sore. Suwako let out a bit of a sigh before getting out of bed.
"Well, I'm guessing you woke me up cause it's time for breakfast. C'mon, lets go eat." She said.
"Okay." I tell her.
I went back to the other room with Suwako, we made our way over to the kitchen/dining room where we were able to enjoy a delightful breakfast consisting of fresh eggs, juicy bacon, and perfect toast. I stuffed my face with as much of the food as I could.
"Mmmm! Mother makes the best eggs!" I say.
"Why thank you Sanae dear." Kanako said.
"Maybe you can help make some more eggs with me tonight in bed~" Suwako told Kanako.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" I ask.
"O-Oh, it's nothing sweetie! Um...Earlier you said you had a dream last night? Would you care to tell us more about it?" Kanako asked.
Oh yeah, the dream... I think long and hard on what it was I had dreamt about...But what was it again?

A dream about Reimu Hakurei coming over to Moriya Shrine
Chapter Text
"Ah, now I remember. It was a dream about Reimu coming over." I say.
"Oh, Reimu of Hakurei Shrine? What happened in that dream?" Kanako asked.
"Let's see... I believe she came over asking me about something important. We then played a nice game of chess, talked about our day over a nice cup of tea, and then that's when you two showed up... And then... Huh, that is odd, I don't seem to remember the rest of my dream." I say.
"Hmm, maybe it ended before you realized it?" Suwako guessed.
"Maybe, but I feel like there was more to that dream. I mean she said she came over for something important, but what was it that was so important?"
"Who knows? Maybe she came to surrender to us; give up all rights to Hakurei Shrine and their god so we can take over." Suwako said.
"Eh? Mum, don't say stuff like that! The Reimu I know would never do such a thing! Next you'll be telling me she has a thing for married women." I say.
"What in the name of Hakurei!? No of course not Sanae! I'm certain that your mother would obliterate her if she ever tried something like that to me or her! Right Kanako?" Suwako asked.
"Well that would depend on who she asks first..." Kanako said.
"Mother!!!" I say.
"I'm kidding Sanae dear. I love your mum too much to try anything like that."
"Oh...Well do you have any idea on what might've been so important for her to appear in my dream?" I ask her.
"I wouldn't really know what Sanae, maybe you could ask the baku if you ever get the chance to see her." Kanako said.
"Oh, of course! Doremy of the Dreamworld! I haven't seen her ever since I went on that quest to defeat the tyrannical Junko of No Title!"
I realized what I have to do now. I must find a way to talk to Doremy so I could understand the meaning of my dream more. I devoured the rest of my meal as quickly as I could (in a mannerly way of course as a proper lady should), helped my mother and mum clean up, and then I went and put on my finest shoe wear and grabbed my trusty weapon.
"You're going out already Sanae dear?" Kanako asked me.
"Yes Mother, I need to get some answers, that dream I had is too interesting to let pass. I'll be back before sundown!" I say. "Oh, and I'll be sure to bring back some snacks from the village if I end up going there."
"Oh, well take care then!" Kanako said.
"And remember not to take any candy from strangers." Suwako said.
"Mum! That was only one time! How was I supposed to know that there's more than one type of coke?" I say.
I headed out shortly afterwards, making my way out of the shrine and took off into the air.
While I flew, I thought about what I would need to do in order to contact Doremy. All I know is she lives in the dreamworld, but it's not like I could knock myself out and hope I get in touch. No, there's another way, but I know I can't do it alone.
"I'll need to talk to someone who is affiliated with the dreamworld somehow, or at the very least Doremy..."

Sagume Kishin
Chapter Text
Of course! Sagume! She and her are like bread and butter! If I can get her help, then I'll figure out what the dream I had was in no time!
But...How am I going to talk to her? It's not like there is a one-way ticket to the moon.
And then it hit me. Why haven't I thought of it before.
"I know what to do!!!"
I quickly fly to the Human Village.
Once there, I landed in the midst of the crowded streets, full of humans and youkai disguised as humans. Knowing those two, they usually like to do their business somewhere on the main streets of the village when there aren't any special holiday/events going on.
I look around, checking to see if they were open anywhere, but I couldn't see them thanks to all the people that were in the way. Sure, I could just fly over them...
But nah.
I push my way through; politely excusing anyone I come across. And when I thought I couldn't find them, I heard it.
"Ye rop scallywag! ye think ye can come 'ere an' plunder me customers away from me!?"
A voice like no other. I could hear it from several seas away...
Two glorious vendors: The Blue Eagle, and the Orange Eagle. Standing in their respective vendors were two moon rabbits, glaring each other down while the sea of customers separated them. The first one I knew to be Seiran, I recognize her based on the size of the giant bloody mallet she always carries like it was a sovenier. Oh, how I am reminded of the time I pummeled her in the face. And Ringo, the orange rabbit, with her pumpkin shorts and her chubby belly. How I remember the way I punched that soft gut with my bare hands. Such good memories.
"Avast! It be only fair that there I get more customers than ye, Seiran. I 'ave been in the dango life farrr longer than ye e'er been born!" Ringo said.
"'Ow dare ye! Ye may 'ave underestimated me before, but I shall show ye what it means to mess with this here brand new bunny!"
And what happened next was more troublesome than I had expected. The two rabbits jumped onto the people's heads and began to fight using dango sticks. They were doing flips, spins, even some wacky nonsense that I can't exactly figure out.
"Um...Excuse me...Hello I like to..."
I tried to get their attention. But it seems that they were too focused on their fight. I got antsy, and I raised my voice at them.
"HEY!!! WILL YOU TWO LISTEN!? I AM A CUSTOMER!"
Seiran and Ringo stopped their fight. They fell to the ground, dropping their dango sticks and looked at me.
"Oh, pardon us...We humbly apologize." Ringo said. "You see, I was trying to make my lesser peer understand the quality difference between my superior dango and their imitation stuff."
"Excuse me!? My dango is quite fine, yet you are the one who was being so snobbish and acting like you are some kind of nobility!" Seiran shouted.
"Hush hush Seiran, the adults are now speaking." Ringo said. "Now, what can I do for you? Would you like to try my Blue Raspberry flavored Dango?"
"Um, no...I was hoping I could find a way to get ahold of Sagume." I say.
"...Ohhh....Well Seiran can help you with that!" Ringo said, pushing Seiran in front of me and immediately scurrying off.
"Hey! You coward!" Seiran said. She looked back at me.
"Oh, do you perhaps know a way I can talk to Sagume?" I ask her.
"Why do you need to talk to her?" She asks me.
I wonder what I should say in order to convince her to help me...

"Oh, I just want to ask her for a favor, that's all." I say. "So please, can you contact her for me?" I ask, putting my hands together in a pleading manner.
"What? I can't just ask a Lunarian Goddess such as her for a favor."
"If I buy some of your dango would you reconsider?"
"Urk...W-well as much I would love to, I'm not going to just go out my way in exchange for-"
"What if I were to persuade my followers to buy your dango the next time I come to the Human Village?"
Seiran's ears sprang up with interest upon hearing what I had to offer. She reached in her dress, pulling out a small phone device with a blue rabbit-eared casing. She then pulled out what looked to be some kind of audio jack with a clip at the end. She attached the clip onto one of her ears, and inserted the jack into her phone.
"Wait, what is that?" I ask.
"Oh, this is what we use back on the Lunar Capital. This is the LunarPhone 15, a bit of an older model compared to what they have now. Reisen also has one of these, though she's unfortunately stuck with a LunarPhone 8. I think the LunarPhone 19 is coming out soon, not sure when though according to some of my friends back on the moon."
"Huh. So do you use them to talk with your friends or something?" I ask.
"Something like that. It's more or less an 'extension' we use when accessing the Rabbit Network. Without them the only things we could do is send messages back and forth. With these however we can talk, take pictures using our eyes, even send videos."
*don don*
"Oh, I just got a notification from Reisen." Seiran checked her phone.
"Puahahahaha!!!"
"What's so funny?" I ask.
"Look at what she just sent me!" Seiran showed me her phone.
On the screen, I see what looked to be a picture of Mokou having her face be doodled on by Kaguya. Glasses, a mustache, random squiggles, all the classic drawings to add on a person's face. I too let out a laugh, a more modest laugh though.
"Ohohoho...That is quite humorous. I must say I didn't think I would ever see a modern phone like yours ever in Gensokyo. But anyways, I would like to speak to Sagume if you don't mind."
"Oh, yes, of course." Seiran went to dial a certain number, and then the phone started ringing. "Here, hold this to your ear."
I took the phone, seeing an icon of Sagume in all her beauty showed while it kept on ringing. And then it answered.
"...Hello?" Sagume's voice spoke.
Perfect, now to initiate the next part of my plan.
"Oh, hello Sagume. This is Sanae Kochiya. Do you by chance remember the time I helped you save the world?"
"...Ah, you're the daughter of the frog goddess if I recall. How did you get this number?"
"Oh, it was because..."
I look at Seiran, who was crossing her arms, telling me no. I guess she didn't want Sagume to know she had her contact.
"Um...I got it from Eirin!" I lie. "I needed to ask you for an important favor and went over to her, and she handed me this special device that lets me talk to you."
"Oh...Strange. Eirin usually isn't the type to do that... But anyways, what is it that's so important?"
"Um...Well...You see..."
For some odd reason, I wanted to say what I originally wanted to say, in that I wanted help to contact Doremy. But for some reason... I couldn't...
"Unif......."
"Huh? Did someone say something?" I look around, hearing a strange voice.
"What was that?" Sagume asked.
"Ah, nothing, it was nothing." I tell her. "Anyways, I was hoping that I could convince you to marry Satori." I say out loud.
Sagume turned silent. Seiran stared at me as if I said something stupid, even I myself didn't know what it was that I just said.
And then Sagume said this.
"Yes... I will go ahead and fly all the way back to Gensokyo, walk to the Palace of the Earth Spirits, so that I can go and propose and eventually marry the one named Satori Komeiji." Sagume said in a somewhat annoyed tone.
"Oh, that's great! I'm so happy that- Wait..."
I just remembered that Sagume had the ability to reverse fate using her words. So if she said that she plans on marrying Satori, then that would mean...
"I see you are still quite immature the last time we met, needless to say you probably haven't grown at all. This conversation is done now."
"W-wait! I just want to talk to you about-"
*beeeep*
"Doremy..."
Feeling defeated, I hand the phone back to Seiran, who kept looking at me with an odd look.
"Well, I'm going to go back to my vendor... You better bring me those customers by tomorrow." Seiran said as she left.
And now I was standing alone in the streets of the village.
"Uggggh... Why did I say that!? That's not like me to do? I'm a good girl who always washes her hands after using the restroom! What was going on inside my head!?"
I feel ashamed of myself, cursing the part of me who thought saying such a thing was a good idea.
Now I need to figure out what to do next now that my chances of meeting up with Doremy have been put to a halt.

"I guess going to Former Hell and visiting Satori isn't a bad idea...Wait, why did I consider that option?"
Once again, my mind is thinking of things that I myself wouldn't consider, almost as though it had been dropped on its head when it was a baby, or rather, I was dropped on the head when I was a baby. But that can't be true, my late mum would never do something as atrocious as that.
Maybe I should go to Eientei instead, get myself checked out or
"Unifi******"
...
On second thought, I think I will go to Former Hell.
---
I made my way to the entrance, where I had a strange encounter with the spider youkai. Oh, I hate bugs, so I swatted her away with my stick. And then I had run into a bucket, with a little girl sitting inside. I didn't like that either so I kicked the bucket (in a literal sense) and watched her tumble down while the sound of her yelling gradually turned quiet. I had a bit of a rough day so far so I wanted to relieve myself of some of my stress, hopefully she didn't mind.
Soon I entered the capital, landing on my feet and began to walk over where the bridge was. I expected the bridge princess Parsee to come and greet me, but surprisingly I didn't see her on the bridge. Yet the moment I crossed halfway I heard the sound of a spanish guitar.
"So...You have arrived."
I turn around, and there was Parsee...wearing some strange clothing. She looked like she took a trip to Spain and returned with its entire culture. There was the hat, then the cloak, even a pair of boots. What in blazes is going on here?
"You have come quite a long way amigo. But you think you can walk on my puente and not expect me to react?"
"Um...I beg your pardon?" I ask.
She suddenly pulled out a sword and swung it in front of me. "I challenge you to a duelo! If you win, I'll let you cross. Lose, and you'll become Señorita Cadáver."
Oh no. This looks more serious than I thought it would be. I need to cross this bridge though if I want to make my way over to Chireiden, what can I do?

"Hm...Well as much as I would love to accept your challenge, there is one thing that you are mistaken about." I say.
"Hm? Perdona?" Parsee asked.
"Yes. The problem is your legs, they are far skinner and thinner than most people legs would be, especially if you need to rely on speed."
"My legs?" Parsee looked down at her legs, confused.
"However, my legs are a lot sturdier, not as sturdy as a stallion, but still enough to be greater than yours. I'll be using my legs to my advantage in all of this."
"Ah...And what may your legs be used for mi amigo?" Parsee asked.
I show her a little smile, before I turn right around and began to run.
"To run away!!! So long you envious luchador de espadas!" I yell.
"W-wait! You tricked me you cobarde! Get back here and fight me like a true macho!"
She started to run after me. However I was far faster than her thanks to my superior speed. I dashed into the streets of the Former Capital, running past several Oni who for some reason were all wearing mustaches and sombreros. And my surroundings feel a lot more yellow than they should be. And I could swear that everyone was speaking Spanish instead now.
I made twists and turns, toppled someone's taco along the way, and eventually ran right into the hot spring area where I could see a bunch of people bathing right out in the open. How shameful of them! Do they bear no sense of decency!?
I no longer saw Parsee chasing after me, I think I lost her. Good, last thing I wanted was to be involved with some Puss in Boots wannabe.
---
I arrive at the doors of Chireiden. The entrance tall and looming, intimidating me with its appearance, like I was standing in front of the castle of a demon king.
I swallow my fear though, and walked over and gave it a knock. Moments later, the door opened and I was allowed in.
I walk further and further, wondering why it was so dark, why I couldn't see anything.
"Hello? Anyone here?" I call out.
*WHACK*
"Owie! Who just hit me in the back of the head!?"
"Hey! Let go of my arms, what are you- mmmph!!! mmph! mmmph!!!"
I didn't know what was happening, but I suddenly got hit really hard and then was tied up with a bag over my head. I felt my body being carried over somewhere but I didn't know where exactly. After a few mintues though the bag was removed, and I saw a bright light shining in my eyes.
"Is this the one?" A familiar voice spoke.
"Yes boss. We found her entering the palace on her own. She wasn't carrying anything lethal though, just these crumpets in her pocket."
"Ah...Well then."
I look around, and saw Orin and Okuu standing to my left and right respectively. They both were wearing suits and trilby hats, as though they belong to an Italian Mafia of sorts. But then in front of me I saw another figure who was sitting by their desk, smoking a cigar, while their third eye stared right in front of me. Satori Komeiji.
"Welcome. I wasn't expecting any guests here tonight. No really, I wasn't expecting anyone at all, yet here you were trespassing in our home." Satori said.
"W-what? No, I... The door opened by itself so I-"
*Whack*
"Don't speak unless the boss says so!" Orin yelled at me after punching me in the face.
"Relax Orin, stand by." Satori told her. "Sorry about that. She listens to my orders very well, a bit too well I must say. But anyways, what brings you here far from your home? Last I checked we haven't met like this ever since your parents came and turned my beloved Okuu into their science project."
"Posso far andare le cose boom!" Okuu said.
"Um...What did she say?" I ask.
"Oh, don't mind her. Ever since she acquired the powers of nuclear energy it affected her mind a little; causing her to lose the ability to speak English."
"Wait, I thought everyone in Gensokyo speaks Japanese-"
*Whack*
"What did I just tell you!?" Orin shouted.
"Owie!!!" I say. Oh, I think I felt a tooth be chipped off. That's not good.
"Orin, please, relax..." Satori said in a more intimidating way.
"Ah...Sorry boss." Orin said.
"I do apologize for her actions. But regardless of what has happened...Would you inform me of the reason of your arrival?"
Chapter 22
Summary:
Say you came for Satori herself. / Say you wish to join the mafia.
Chapter Text
I tried to speak, yet I couldn't say anything. I stare at the cold look that Satori gave me while I gulped down some air. My mind was split between two ideas on what I want to pick. One where I could say that I came for Satori herself, the other saying that I want to join the mafia.
But why would I say either of those things... I don't know really. I really don't-
"Unifica.... Unifica...."
That voice again. Why? Why does it keep on speaking to me in that gargled raspy voice? It was almost like it was trying to tell me what to do and I don't like it.
But I was compelled to speak, to answer, to say something that would satisfy them for another day.
"Y-you see..." I say hesitantly. "I-I came here because... I wanted to join the mafia so I can eventually steal your heart and take you back to the surface and elope." I say out loud.
I couldn't believe the words that came out of my mouth. They were not my own, it was as if a demon possessed me and told me to say those things.
I clasped my mouth, then looked up at Satori again who didn't look as happy as I imagined.
"...I see...Orin, take her away..." Satori told Orin.
"On it boss." Orin grabbed my with my arms behind my back. "Where should I take her?"
"Take her to the Koosh."
"Eh? The Koosh? What's the Koosh?" I ask.
"Just imagine your worst nightmare, all bundled up into the mind of one person." Orin whispered into my ear.
I start to get frightened, I try to yell and scream my way out of her arms but it was no use. I was dragged away from the doors, away from Satori.
"No no no no! Please, let me go! I swear I won't do anything! I-I'm a good girl I promise! I'll be your pet even! Ruff ruff!"
"Oh will ya shut up already ya damn wanker!" Orin said, now speaking with London accent.
And then I passed out after being hit on the head once again.
---
I open my eyes...
And I see a crow...
A big crow, looking down at me.
It looked like it wanted something.
It looked... dissatisfied. It looked like it wasn't happy with me.
But why?
Did I do something to make it unhappy?
Why does it look like I'm not doing what it wants?
Why do they all look like I'm not doing what they want?
Why do they have such high expectations from me?
Why do they bother me like this?
What is this about unificat***?
Why...
Why...
I just...
I just wanted to have some fun-
*GASP*
Holy moly! That was some rancid dream I just had! It was weirder than that other dream with Reimu and such.
...Oh, now I remember what that dream was about....Neat.
But where am I now?

Summary:
Congratulations to u/OniTenshi500, you won some cheese... But unfortunately what you have suggested was already available in the polls, and since it is an unoriginal suggestion that means it does not count.
So instead u/The_Dog_King_Gamer shall be the winner as they have the second (and only other) most upvoted suggestion. They shall be given extra cheese for their originality!!!
Next time, be sure to suggest something outside the box.
Chapter Text
I look at my surroundings. I see a group of men, on a cart, being pulled by a horse. I see the sight of trees unfamiliar to me, and a road that I don't think I ever crossed before in my life.
"Hey, you. You're finally awake." One of the men started talking to me. "You were trying to cross the border, right?"
"...Huh?" I say. "Pardon me, but I am quite perplexed on-"
"Walked right into that imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."
That is strange... He is almost speaking like some sort of NPC in a game. But, I can't be in some kind of videogame, right? That would be preposterous! I mean what kind of fool would honestly believe that?
Yet for some particular reason I feel as though what I said wasn't completely wrong...
The men around me continue to talk, and talk, and talk... Until we hop off the cart, and some sort of guard spoke of strange names.
I see two of the men walk forward, but the third one ran off, only to get shot. I was shocked, yet at the same time I was oddly calm about this.
Then when it was my turn, I told them who I was. But I wasn't on the list. I thought this was good, that means I would be let free....But no. They didn't.
I watch one of the men who I met on the cart get their head chopped off. It was a gruesome sight...Then, it was my turn.
I was afraid, scared, wishing that this was a dream I was having. Yet I see the man raise his axe. Something wasn't right. Wouldn't something be stopping this by now?
"Unificat...Unificat..."
That voice... again that voice. It's back.
"Unificat...Unificat..."
It won't stop... I look up and see something landing on the tower... I thought I saw a dragon for a moment, roaring with flames spewing down onto the Earth. But that was not a dragon... It was a crow.
And it didn't roar, it screamed.
*"Unificati..Unificatio.UnificationUnification-*UNIFICATION!!!"
UNIFICATION!!!!
UNIFICATION!!! UNIFICATION!!! UNIFICATION!!!
Why...
Why is that crow screaming that word... What is Unification? What is needing to unify...
I watch it jump off the tower, and dove towards me with its talons, its wings spreading out. And it said something else.
"Sanae Kochiya!!! You are not meant to be here!!! You are meant to be somewhere else! I command it! I plead with you to unite them together!!! You must!!! You must!!!"
It grabbed me and began to fly me into the air. I found myself high up in the sky, while it continued to fly me further and further away from the ground. Then I began to struggle.
"L-Let go of me you, giant avian! What are you even trying to do!?" I shout at the large crow.
"What? Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to unite you and the other, as was originally planned by us!!! We must perform the unification, whether you like it or not!!!"
Now the crow was irritating me. With my power, I blind its eyes with stars, causing it to squawk in pain, and then it let go of me, and I was falling.
"NOOO!!!" The crow yelled, diving back towards me with eyes redder than blood, feathers black as night. "I will not fail this time!!! My plans may have been foiled once by the Red Miko's struggle, twice by the intervention of the Goddess of Imagination, but as they always say: Third Times a Charm!!!"
"W-what even are you!?" I scream at the top of my lungs.
"Who am I? Who are we?" The crow asked. "WE ARE EVERYWHERE!!!"
I see a bunch of other smaller crows appear from the crow, flapping their wings while chanting "unification" over and over again. As I remember that I could fly, I began zipping away as fast as I can, getting away from the murder of crows.
But each path I took, they were there, blocking my escape. I fly up but then forced to fly down; down and then forced to fly left; left then forced to go right. Soon I found myself surrounded by nothing but crows flapping their wings loudly, and still shouting that name.
"Unification! Unification!"
"Stop it! Stop this! I'm getting sick of that word!" I shout, using another one of my spell cards, this time making the crows split like the sea on that certain day. But as I flew out into the open, the bigger crow grabbed me again.
"Hahaha!!! Not this time! Not again!!! You will not leave until we unify! Then we can get what WE want!" It spoke.
I try to escape, move my arms, but I can't. I don't have my purification rod, I can't pull out my spell cards, and I don't have time to cast a miracle. I once again was being flown away against my will.
"Why are you so obsessed with me!?" I ask. "What do you mean by we? What do you mean you're everywhere!? Are you saying you're all these stupid birds!?"
"What? No, they're all apart of me. We are all one. But I'm not just talking about myself." The Big crow spoke.
"Then what are you!?"
"I am just a member, a Hive member." The Crow said. "Unfortunately it looks like our time here in this realm is up. A shame I can't initiate my plan now. But soon, we will unify. All of us, and we will all be attending the wedding."
And then I was dropped. I started falling, falling to the ground.
And then I passed out.
---
---
---
*Step*
*Step*
*Step*
The sound of echoes ring in my ears... Closer and closer they got...
But then...It stopped.
And I woke up.
I gasped as I found myself on what looked to be a large open field, in the middle of nowhere. I see some trees far off in the distance, but other than that it was blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and grass greener than green.
"W...Where am I now?" I say.
"Hello!!! KNIFE TO MEET YOU!!!" I see Koishi in front of me, holding a knife in her hand.
And I did the most reasonable thing to do when greeted by someone with a knife.
Chapter 24
Summary:
Pull her in for a deep kiss.
Chapter Text
I pulled her in close, grabbing her by the face and pulled her in for the deepest, longest kiss I ever gave anyone.
Soon I let go of her, gasping for air. I didn't know why I kissed her suddenly. I also felt as though I a lot of time had passed, as in a lot a lot.
"Um..." She looked at me, blinking like she didn't realize what happened until a couple seconds later when her face began to blush and she dropped her knife. She looked at me like she fell in love at first sight.
"Does this mean we are a couple now?" She asked.
Oh no...
I shake my head no and wave my hands in front of her. "No no no!!! I'm sorry, that happened completely on a whim!" I say.
"Oh, don't be shy, I liked it. Teehee~" She said with a wink. Next I saw her skip away happily, and I didn't even catch her name.
I remain standing in the open field, wondering where to go. I look over at a tree, seeing a crow sitting there, looking down at me. It looked like it had been there for a long time, though it's relevance to my situation in general no longer there. I watch it fly away up in to the sky, over to Youkai Mountain.
That's right, I should be going home... Though maybe I have time to go somewhere else?
But... I do wish to go home now.
Chapter 25: Finale
Summary:
Go back home, you miss it
Chapter Text
Go back home, you miss it
---
I decide to go back home. I flew up from the field and towards Youkai Mountain. All that was in my mind at this moment was the desire to return someplace safe and familiar to me.
I flew over the trees and the grounds below. I saw the Garden of the Sun as all the sunflowers kept their heads pointing at the setting sun. I saw the village from afar, how human traffic has slowed and everyone was getting ready to settle in by tonight. I saw Misty Lake covered in fog and the Scarlet Devil Mansion with it's iconic shade of red.
I flew over all of it, gazing down with a solemn look, my mind only focused on going home.
I arrived at Moriya Shrine, my home. The sky was getting dark and the lights in the home were still on, meaning that Kanako and Suwako are also home. I walk up the steps towards the door, sliding it open as I announce my arrival.
"I'm home."
---
---
---
Hm...
I guess that's it then...
This was a decent experiment, though it had gotten chaotic in the later half. A shame it ended so abruptly too.
But I think it's for the best. After all, I had lost interest long ago.
At least it had a conclusion unlike other experiments I've done before.
I congratulate you in seeing this to the end, but now...
We shall depart once more.
Till another day~
