Notes:

Because I clearly have soft spot for a specific type of 2d men, I'll be writing something for one of my other favorite gaming series.

If you like Tekken and really, really like Miguel Caballero Rojo, please keep your peepers open for my first reader insert story.

Chapter Text

A white room, adults shuffling around me, jabs of needles, pain, and hope...hope that one day i'd be free,it's all I remember ever since I was little and that hope is what kept me going.

Now it's training, all they have me doing is taking down armed soldiers in black. I could never see their faces, but I always remember their tells, especially the one with the red eyed mask, he liked to snap necks.
I remember watching the others before me train, the sound of the bones in their neck shattering as he twisted, at times the rhyme I over heard one of the adults telling their child would come to mind, "mama had a baby and its head popped off." I would murmur it every time that man would snap the nameless persons neck.

But now, now it's my turn, I'll be on the receiving end of this man...or at least that's what I thought, that's what we all thought until the alarms went off.

A breach they called it, hah a breach my ass, more like someone fucked up and let one of the 'failures' loose causing chaos.
The tides turned quickly and undead became the inhabitants of this hell hole.
The people in black took me above ground it wasn't much different there still tons of undead hordes ambling mindlessly about looking for their next meal.

They left me there, whether it was to free me or leave me to die I could care less, I was finally free that's all that mattered to me.

So I ran, past the fires, past the zombies, past the destruction only until I felt myself being yanked back. The thing that grabbed me felt like sinew muscle but slimey like that of a trail left behind from a snail or perhaps slug.
I didn't scream, I didn't panic, I wanted to know what was at the end of this thing wrapped around my leg. Call it a morbid curiosity, call it stupidty, but could you really blame me.
I was close to finding out what was at the end but something changed, a loud explosion and a bright light consumed the thing that had a hold of me.

The explosion made it release its hold on me, I scrambled to get up as it roared in anger and I took it in. It had the shape of a man but it's face, was a mangled mess of flesh that seemed fused together. I wonder was it like Frankenstien's monster or was it once human and just an experiment like me.

It looked at me and I at it, it showed some form of intelligence. It knew, I was like it but at the sme time not, I was different in form but we shared the same virus.
"Hey you, over here this way!"
A man's voice rang out to me snapping me from what ever connection the creature was trying to make and I took in the man, he looked quite worse for wear but the emblem on his arm. I've seen it in the halls of that place, I ran towards him as the thing reached out to grab me I had to duck almost tripping over myself.

The man grabbed my arm and hosted me over the railing and nodded his head at me.
He pulled me behind as he began to run weaving in and out of zombies, occasionally shooting some stubborn undead down.
He stopped at a half open gate and ushered me in, once he himself was in he looked me over.
"You all good? No bites or injuries?"
I looked at him, he is unfamiliar his brown shaggy hair, his accent, his eyes, he is not recognizable to me.
I shook me head
"I am fine as I can be, no bites or injuries."
He grinned at me and nodded his head.
"Your one lucky lady." He said before walking away gesturing me to follow.
"Why's that?"

He glanced at me over his shoulder and raised an eyebrow.
"Well for starters that thing you had a stare down with normally kills what ever it gets its tentacles on...or tries to."
I noticed his gaze follow to a train landing on a woman, HER I recognize. I never met her in person but the people in charge of my training wanted her dead and I wanted answers as to why.

He watched as I strode with purpose towards her.
"Um miss..."
I continued and grabbed the woman's shoulder spinning her to face me, she seemed surprised. She exchanged a quick glance at the man I could see the reflection of him shrugging in her eyes.
"Can I help you?"
I looked her over, what threat could this woman possible pose to such a large group? They always seemed off to me and now...I can start getting answers.
"Umbrella..."
The man made to move as I heard an older man chuckle. I glanced at the man and back at the woman her eyes held righteous fury...I liked that...she wanted that group to burn.
She went to open her mouth and I held up my hand.
"I don't want a fight with you, I want answers."

The woman paused and took me in.
"What answers does an umbrella worker want?"
I glanced down at my clothes and sighed.
"This...is not mine and I am no worker. I have no name, I'm only a number a pet project if you will."
The man shifted I could hear his heart rate and how he shifted his hold on the gun.
The woman though she was gauging me from what looked like curiosity.
"And what does one of Umbrellas pets want with me?"

I sighed and dropped my shoulders and shaking my head before tilting my head at her.
"Just answers, they never let me leave that room unless it was to inject me with something that left me between death and life, been like that since I was about five. They trained me, never gave me any missions like the others until that blonde douche bag brought in a picture of you. He wanted you dead, Jill Valentine. Why?"

Jill looked at me down her nose, I can tell she doesn't like me or trust me, the man seems to be suspicious of me as well but I can sense sympathy from him.

"A blonde man you say. Did he have a name?"
I nodded with a grimace, I wasn't fond of that man. Many of my moments laying waiting for death were because of him.
I said his name with a snarl "Wesker, I'm did not like that man. He took one of my friends away when I was small I could hear her screams when they experimented on her. I don't know what became of her the last time I saw her...they had a bag over her head and was taking her away in a cage, bound in shackles, to some mansion."

Jill let out a soft gasp as she looked at me.
"Lisa Trevor..."
I nodded my head "He has also had me near death quite a few times as well, so I can't say I'm fond of that man or group. I only just recently discovered the groups name thanks to the masked people that handled training. They left me on the streets told me Umbrella had no more use for me."
I looked at her taking in her face a different type of anger was there now, not towards me but towards what had been done to me. Her anger souly rests on Umbrella.
"Why does Umbrella want you dead? What did they do to you and what have you done to them?"

Jill took a deep breathe "arklay events those of us that survived Umbrellas little house of horrors knew too much myself and one other are the remaining members of STARS. That thing is here to kill the rest of us...maybe that is why they told you, you are of no more use and they...they took my team from me all of them dead reduced to walking corpses that I had to shoot down."
She finished clutching her hands glaring at the ground.

I tilted me head and smiled
"I like you Valentine. But just so you two know..."
I glance between her and the man.
"There's other survivors...I could see them from when the group was bringing me up."
The man shifted and looked at Jill and back at me.
"You're positive?"
I nod my head
"Call it one of the many perks of being Umbrellas pet, special powers and all that jazz. Oh also they seemed to be doing fine but there's no way they'll make it to this side the ways are completely blocked off. If you'll allow me to help them...I can"
The man shrugs with a smile and walks off the train and holds his hand out.
I look at it before I grab hold and he playfully pulls me off. He is quite the strange man, how can a man that's surrounded by death be so...positive and i guess goofy.
" Alright then môre, you'll be traveling with me and Tyrell here until we split ways."
I look at the other man as he shook his head.
"Really Carlos, first the cop now some Umbrella stray? Your taste is varying and strange."

Carlos shrugs, shaking his head he grins at Tyrell.
"It's not like that, she's basically a kid."
Tyrell's brow quirked as he watch her observe them.
"Mentally? Because it's definitely not physically."

I walk over to them shaking my head and leveling Carlos with narrowed eyes.
"I can hear you ya know. I am not a child mentally or physically, hell what I've been through would make you piss yourself soldier boy. Now can we hurry this up I have three survivors to get, two adults and a child."

Carlos burst out in laughter and nodded his head.
"You heard the lady Tyrell let's move out."
Tyrell grumbles as he follows behind them making Carlos chuckle.
"Ya know I always did like em fiesty, if the super cops not interested then maybee..."

I couldn't hold back my scoff as I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not built for a relationship soldier boy you'll have better chances with Valentine."
Carlos slings an arm around her shoulder playfully.
"Now don't go saying that, I'm sure you would be perfect for someone out there."

I looked down and then glanced at him.
"Maybe but I won't hold my breathe." We came upon a small opening that the group in black brought me through, i remember being able to see the hospital in the distance. This was a safer route for them to take little to no zombies and i could also go my way without much difficulty. "This way, we can cut through here then we will split. You two to the hospital and myself to the police station I'll mark areas off at the station that are safe if you plan on going there yourself at least it will make things easier."

As we split ways a series of events happened changing every survivors life after the fall of Raccoon City.
I some how ended up in another cage but this time at least I had another with me and so this is how I find myself here in this car heading to a little village next to a not so chatty agent which I'm quite thankful for.
