Bo-Katan had a plan to get Din out of Moff Gideon's capture but she didn't know if the plan was the best option. There was so much room for error but it was the ONLY option she had, Bo-Katan had no other way way to rescue Din and it was heartbreaking to her. Din was a great father and warrior and had so many great adventures that awaited him, and Bo-Katan would make sure that he got the chance to live a live full of light and love, like the chance he gave her.
The night before everything went wrong Din had gave himself to her by saying the words "These are the reasons i serve you, Lady Kryze." never in her life had someone said such precious words to her. How could the universe be so cruel? How could it give her Din then take him away? That's not fucking fair..... God. Bo-Katan hoped this plan worked because if it didn't she didn't know what she was gonna do.
Bo-Katan walked into the debriefing room that was located on the light cruiser and everyone just turned to stare at her, awaiting her instruction. She once again felt the empty spot that Din left by not being near her. If Din had been here she wouldn't have felt so uncomfortable by the idea of leading. Din gave her the confidence again to be that leader that she lost somewhere in that castle months ago. Not making any eye contact Bo-Katan walked to towards the front of the room where she stood front and center.
"So, Bo-Katan Kryze, what's your plan?" said the armourer.

"You're gonna stay here with the other mandalorians okay?" Bo-Katan was talking to Grogu in the privacy of her room, Grogu was sitting on the side of the bed as she was squatting down to look at Grogu in his eyes. "I wish you could go but it's too dangerous, and if your dad found out I brought you anywhere near Gideon he'll never forgive me." Grogu's face turned upside down upon hearing that he couldn't be apart of his dad's rescue mission. "I'm sorry, but I want you to be safe okay?" Grogu refused to look at her now. It made Bo-Katan feel terrible but he has to understand why he can't come. "You miss him right?" Grogu turned to her and nodded yes. "Then that's what i'm gonna do Grogu, i'm gonna get him back but you have to promise me you'll stay here with the other mandalorians where it's safe okay? Bo-Katan said while rubbing his head. Grogu agreed and nodded his head but not without hesitation. Bo-Katan wasn't going to pretend like she didn't know what she was asking of Grogu, sitting around while your loved one was suffering and in pain. It was a lot to ask of him but Bo-Katan couldn't risk anything happening to Grogu. If everything went south and Grogu got captured or killed Bo-Katan didn't know if she would be able to live with herself.
"You'll do great, and when we get back with your dad I'll let you do whatever you want." At this Grogu's ears perked up. "Including flying the gauntlet, BUT don't tell your dad I said this to you!" Bo-Katan said putting her finger over her lips like she was telling him a secret. The door hissed open and there stood Axe. "The ships are ready and waiting for launch." Bo-Katan nodded towards Axe. "Ok buddy, it's time to be brave okay?" Grogu nodded his head and stretched out his arms wanted to be held. Bo-Katan hugged him tightly while walking him over to the group of five mandalorians that she dedicated towards keeping Grogu safe while she was gone. Bo-Katan passed Grogu to a mandalorian named Hera. "He doesn't leave this room, and all eyes are to be on him at all times. Am I clear?" Bo-Katan made sure her voice was stern. "The foundlings life is be guarded with ours, you have our word Lady Kryze." Hera said as all the mandalorian put their fists over their hearts. Bo-Katan looked down to Grogu to give him reassurance one more time before she left to go rescue Din and kill Moff Gideon.
"I'm leaving now okay? I'll be back with your dad okay?" Grogu looked at her with his eyes full of tears. "Ni kar'tayl darasuum." Grogu looked at her confused. "It means I love you in our native language." She hugged Grogu before turning and walking to her ship. Bo-Katan hadn't planned on telling Grogu that she loved him, but everything was so uncertain right now. If she died she wanted Grogu to know that she loved him like he was her own blood.

The plan was going well so far, when Gideon had ambushed them Bo-Katan had a quick glance at the crack in the ceiling that lead to the surface of mandalore. She used that to her advantage and used all the firepower she could to hopefully give them the upper hand. "Everyone aim for the bombers and TIE's!! We can't have them get in the air or else we'll lose our only advantage!" Bo-Katan's stomach was in knots, but she was trying to stay level headed. "I'm heading down, gauntlets one through four are with me. Gauntlets five through ten make sure no imps get in the air, our entire plan relies on it." Bo-Katan landed her ship by the old forge, her team doing the same. Bo-Katan's mind couldn't stop racing as she got closer to Gideons base. Her thoughts always assuming the worst, maybe Din was already dead, and the only thing she was going to see was his lifeless body laying on the floor. Now wasn't the time for those kind of thoughts, she needed to be confident not on the verge of another panic attack. She held it together but Bo-Katan couldn't make any promises to herself on how long she could hold it together.

After what felt like hours of fighting Moff Gideon finally showed himself. "Bo-Katan! I see you came back for the mandalorian..... Has someone gone soft on me? Or perhaps..... someone fell in love? How pathetic, even for you." Moff Gideon never failed to have a sarcastic tone with every conversation he had. Bo-Katan stayed quiet, not wanting to give him the power of seeing her emotions.
"Ahh the silence is very telling Bo-Katan, I trust you want to see Din Djarin?..... Am I correct?" Bo-Katan still silent as she pulled out the darksaber. "Finally, a real challenge!" Moff Gideon said as he began walking towards her. Bo-Katan wouldn't let him win again, she wouldn't let him hurt her people for any longer than he already has.
The fight between her and Gideon was long and draining, but the thought of saving Din and finally killing Gideon is what kept her blood pumping.
Somehow Gideon managed to cut her calf open but the only thing she felt was the adrenaline rushing through her blood at full speed. The world around her was out of focus, the only thing she could see was Gideon. Bo-Katan could tell that he had been training by the way he was dodging her swings, but no amount of training could save him from her anger and pain that's been inside of her all these years. Bo-Katan screamed as she ran towards Gideon and pushed him over, getting on top of him. Bo-Katan paid no attention to his begs for mercy as she took her knife and slit his throat from ear to ear. She slowly got up still out of breath, but wasted no time in running to find Din.
This place wasn't too big so when she heard fighting and grunting coming down the hall she wasn't surprised that it was Din. He was fighting red mandalorians it looked like, but why were they fully red? Bo-Katan didn't have time to ask questions as she ran towards Din and aided him in combat. These people were strong, there was three of them but they moved as one unit, but if Bo-Katan could beat Gideon then she wasn't worried about three red wannabe mandalorians, especially with Din now fighting by her side.
Within twelve minutes her and Din finally won the fight. When the last one fell, so did Din. Bo-Katan could see he was beyond exhausted. "Din are you okay?" Bo-Katan was by his side in seconds. "Yeah I'm fine just feel weak." Din said trying to get up but failed. "Here, grab my shoulder." Bo-Katan said getting down on the floor by Din to help him up. Din, however, was still struggling. "My body won't cooperate, I'm sorry bo, but I can't get up right now." Din said as he looked at Bo-Katan. "It's okay, we have all the time in the world. Moff Gideon is dead." Din looked at her silently. "You killed the Moff?" Din asked her almost in disbelief. "Yes, I killed him but ourfight still isn't over yet Din." Din took her hands into his slowly tilting his helmet towards hers. Bo-Katan knew what he was doing but apart of her still couldn't believe what was happening. She took off her helmet and leaned her helmet towards his, Bo-Katan closed her eyes and imagined that Din had his closed as well. "Thank you for coming back for me." Din said in a low voice. "I'll always come back for you, Din." They stayed like that for a while before finally getting up. "Come on we have to hurry, Grogu is waiting for his flying lesson." Din stopped in his tracks. "What?" Bo-Katan smiled and grabbed his hand, interlocking their fingers. "I'll tell you on the way home."
