The large moon shone brightly as it was seemingly stuck to the ocean. Well, okay, it IS stuck to the Earth thanks to what Donut did in Episode 8, but you get the point.
A boat gently sways across the shadowy waves of the ocean drenched in night sky. This boat was a simple triangular boat, with its white body and green and orange stripes.
Two figures lay together, one laying across the other's knees. A fire and a leaf, the leaf seemingly not burning.
The leaf's eyes seemingly shone under the moonlight, despite the fire's body illuminating everything around them, including her.
She looks up at him and he notices her expression. A cute little smirk, a shining sparkle in her eyes...
God, why was Leafy so fucking cute?
Leafy: "Hey, Firey?"
Firey: "Yeah?"
Leafy: "Will we still be friends in the future?"
Firey: "Of course we will! I forgave you, remember? We wouldn't even be here if I hadn't!"
Leafy: "Oh... Right. I just..."
Firey: "Wha-"
Suddenly, Leafy sits up and grabs onto Firey. And before he could stop her...
They kissed.
It was a bit rough, as it was their first one, but... Oh god... They were both melting.
And when they both pulled away... They just stared into each other's eyes until they both spoke.
Both of them: "WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING ADORABLE?!"
Firey: "I don't know!"
Leafy: "I don't know either!"
Firey: "Man, that felt good though..."
Leafy: "Did it?"
Firey: "Yeah."
Leafy smirked a bit.
Firey: "Why are you smirking?"
Leafy: "I cannot stop thinking about a future where we are together as one."
Firey: "You're only saying that because we kissed!"
Leafy: "Yeah, I knowwww, but think about it! The two of us, with a few little kids..."
Firey: "I think you're going too fast in this relationship."
... Silence.
It fell on them both.
Leafy looks at him, a shy blush on the sides of her face.
Leafy: "Whoops! Sorry! I-I just-"
Firey: "I know. I know you want to be with me, get mated, have children- but let's just take it one step at a time."
Leafy: "You still want to be with me?"
Firey: "Fuck yeah! I fucking love you!"
Leafy: "Can... Can we kiss again, just to make it official? And also I really want another kiss."
Firey: "Sure..."
And they kissed again, this time more softer.
Once they pulled why, they sat next to each other and just cuddled as lovers do. Unfortunantly, in this world, whenever two lovers cuddle while asleep... They accidentally mate.
Firey noticed Leafy getting sleepy and begins to get worried.
Firey: "Uhhh, Leafy?"
Leafy: "Yeah?"
Firey: "You know that when two lovers cuddle while asleep, they mate right?"
And loe and behold, Leafy blushes again and quickly gets away.
Leafy: "Imsosorry!"
Firey: "Shush, it's okay. Just fall asleep. I love you, remember?"
Leafy: "I love you too... Just... At least let me sleep next to you?"
Firey: "Sure? Just don't touch me, okay?"
Leafy: "Okay..."
Eventually, the two fell asleep, into their own dreams.
They were looking for their Dream Island...
And they think they had already found it.
In each other's hearts.
