The evening star and the morning star

Summary:

Another story after episode 12 (Lost JULY).
I wanted to write a Vash that would be fused into the Knives.

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

”Where are you, Vash?"
It has been a little over two weeks since Knives revived his body in resonance with the plant. Knives muttered to the sky at dusk, unable to catch any sign of his one half, his brother, all day today.

------

Two years have passed since the Lost JULY. Knives' body, damaged beyond recovery by the energy of Vash's Angel Arm, was completely restored by the doctor's treatment, spawning again from the plant.

The first thing Knives did when he was able to move again was to find out the whereabouts of his brother.

”Kni...... Kni......!"
The last time he heard his brother's plaintive cry at that moment never left Knives' ears.

Perhaps because he was a plant and a twin, Knives was convinced through a thread-like connection that his other half, Vash, was alive and in the area.
After his resurrection, however, he did not feel the same connection with his brother that he once did. The thread connecting Knives and his brother was very thin, and he could only feel his brother's presence slightly. The reason for this, Knives guessed, was due to Vash's loss of memory.

After the encounter at JULY, his younger brother once refused Knives' attempts to absorb him through assimilation and falsify his memory. However, the burden of Vash's forced release of condensed energy into space was so great that it probably caused the younger brother not only physical injuries but also memory impairment.

Knives has Punisher, one of the Gun Ho Guns who follow him, searching for his brother's whereabouts. However, it was thought that the search would take a long time, as his brother, who had lost his memory as Vash, would not have left behind any discernible traces.

”I guess I'm still afraid of losing you."
Knives muttered to himself as he looked up at the sky, which was turning from purple to dark blue after the sun had set.
With no memory of his brother, he would have no way to protect himself from malicious people. If he didn't meddle, he would be less likely to get into trouble, but on this dry planet, human lives are easily lost.

It was hard to believe that this one half of himself, Vash, would be killed by a human so easily, but still, this lack of signs made Knives quite uneasy. For the past two weeks, he had been calling out to his brother's deeper consciousness through the plant's empathic abilities, but there had been no response to his calls.

The situation could be said to be all-or-nothing, but Knives had one thing in mind.
At that moment when he entered the higher dimension with JULY and connected to the core of the plants, he felt a deep connection with their deep consciousness.
However, this was an act that, if he made a mistake, could lead to a massive influx of memories other than his own and the risk of an unstable ego.

Looking up at the night sky, Knives closed his eyes once and exhaled deeply. When he slowly opened his eyes again, his beautiful cobalt green eyes were filled with a solid determination.

------

Knives stepped from the Ark's watchtower into the plant room lined with aquariums. Only his footsteps echoed hard on the cold floor.

In the center of the plant room, Knives folded his knees and hung his head in front of the plants.
He remembered the time when he caused the great crash known as the Big Fall.
”Let me confess, I was too hasty back then.”
”I sacrificed a lot of people, even my brothers.”
”But now I want to find my brother and save him before the humans hurt him."

Knives said, gently reaching for the tank.
"I need your help. I guess I can't do this on my own."

As if in response to Knives' request, the plant, which had been in bud form, blossomed in the tank and approached him. Knives also closed his eyes and gently laid his forehead and hand on the glass. A beautiful white plant pattern floated on his face.

"Lord Knives!"
Legato, noticing the strange atmosphere in the Ark, rushed to the plant room and saw a cracked plant tank and the figure of the Lord spreading his wings and absorbing the plant from his back.

The figure of Knives, while distorted, was even divine.

"Ha-ha-ha! I can feel you, Vash. I'm coming for you now."
With that, Knives spread his wings wide and disappeared in an instant.

------

-tum… tum…-

This is a town once called Geneola Rock. The sound of a small piano echoed in an abandoned diner.
A man stood alone in front of the broken piano, toying with the keys with one index finger.

His expression was hidden by his long hair, but he seemed to have lost his left arm, and the left side of his shirt was crumpled from the second arm down.

"You don't have to force yourself to remember. It sounds like you've been through a lot."
A girl steps into the diner, noticing the sound of the piano, and calls out softly from behind.
But the man continued to touch the piano, as if his voice had not been heard.
She did not seem to think anything bad of him, and as she approached him, she gently took his hand and led him out of the diner and back to the building she was using as the main house.

"I don't have any deadlines, so you can just rest here."
With that, the girl smiled at the man.
He had hardly reacted before, but here he finally smiled slightly and nodded back at her.

------

Lina is a twelve-year-old girl who lives here with her grandmother. She originally lived in another town, but fled to this place after the plant was lost and the security situation deteriorated.
The abandoned town was desolate, but there were a good amount of resources left, and it was a good enough place for her grandmother and Lina to live a modest life in hiding.

This man, Eriks, wandered up to them one day two years ago.
It was Lina's grandmother, a good-natured woman, who approached the injured, sand-covered, and battered man. At first Lina objected that it was dangerous, but her grandmother convinced her that he was not a bad man.

As Lina washed him with a basin of precious water, she found that his body had been left with deep scars here and there, and that his left arm was missing from the second arm onward.
He seemed to understand what Lina and the others were saying, but he rarely spoke on his own. The amount of food he ate was also very small. It was not until about a year after Lina met him that he began to smile, even if only slightly.

The man had apparently lost his memory as well, and when Lina asked him his name, he shook his head. The name Eriks was given to him by Lina after her deceased friend.

"It's going to get warmer and warmer in the spring.
I'm sure you will find it easier to live here."
Lina smiled and said to the man as she returned to the main house.

------

After a small dinner of water and a small amount of food with Lina and her grandmother, Eriks was lying on the bed in the room assigned to her as her room. Sleeping is not really his forte, but in an abandoned city in the desert, there is nothing to do at night. He laid his body down for the moment and focused on resting.

-----
---
--

The blue tank…
White whips…
Purple light…
The Body about to burn up…

"......!"
Eriks jumped up, sweating, and sighed deeply when he realized he was in a desert town.
The memory of the purple light gave him chills. This is the nightmare he always has when he finally falls asleep. Because of this nightmare, Eriks had a hard time sleeping. He always felt unwell once he woke up from the dream, and eventually he would wake up in the morning without being able to sleep.

"......?"
But today was different. Eriks felt a call, as if to soothe her bad mood in her sleep. It was as if someone was calling him.

When he looked out the window, the sky was slowly turning white.

As Eriks concentrated on the sensation of being called once more, the voice calling out was a strange voice that felt both male and female. The strange calling, nostalgic and full of joy, but with a painful tightness in the chest, seemed to come from above this place.

Eriks felt afraid to answer the call, but he also knew he had to go to the voice.

Eriks stood up unsteadily and quietly walked out of the house with sleepwalking gait.
Aiming for higher ground, he gradually climbed up a slope made of crumbling rocks.
Eriks himself was unaware of the intricate white pattern on his face.

Eventually, he arrives at a slight elevation made of the remnants of a rocky hill that was once the symbol of the city. Under the gradually brightening sky, the ruined city emerged dimly as if waking up from a sleep.

Suddenly, Eriks looked up, noticing a black shadow on the landscape he was looking down on.

Looking up, he saw a white man with large wings floating against the dawn sky.

"Are you an angel?"
As Eriks looked up with a pout, the man smiled a big smile and came close enough to reach his arm.

"I'm coming for you, Vash," the angel said.
Vash wondered if the angel's arrival meant that he was about to die. Indeed, his previously empty heart was filled with an inexpressible joy.

The angel reached out to Eriks, who was unable to move, and placed both hands on his cheeks and said.
"Come on, let's go home together."
The next thing Eriks knew, the angel was kissing her deeply. He quickly tried to pull away, but the angel's muscular body and large wings surrounded him, trapping him in place and preventing him from moving.
Eriks' consciousness was cut off at that point.

With a crisp, the clothes Eriks was wearing fell onto the rock.
Knives was still floating in the air, a plant pattern on his face.
"Finally, I have you back. Welcome back, Vash."
Knives put his hand on his chest and murmured softly, then flapped his big wings powerfully and soared into the sky.

After the sun rose, Lina and her grandmother noticed Eriks' absence and searched all over the city, but in the end all they could find were his clothes, which were left on a rock on high ground.

------

"Why did you order me to return?"
After receiving the order to return to the Ark through Zazi, Wolfwood reluctantly did as he was told and returned to his base. It had only been two weeks since he received the order to search for Vash, who had gone missing in JULY, and he was prepared to wait a long time to find him, so he was unsure of the intent of the sudden change of order.

"Don't you see?"
Elendia greeted Wolfwood and passed him off, not caring about his frustration.
"......!"
At that moment, Wolfwood felt a pressure so heavy that it severed his limbs in two, released from the top of the Ark.
"What ...... is this pressure?"
"It must be HIM. He's just resting and yet he's emitting this much pressure."

When Wolfwood gulped, Elendia said to him.
"Why don't you go and see him? I'm sure Load Knives will let you see him."

At the top of the long flight of stairs, there was a man standing on the watchtower of the Ark.
His eyes were closed and he was leaning against a pillar, not the least bit self-conscious.
It seems that Elendia was telling the truth when she said he was ‘resting’.

However, his appearance, with his large wings and tentacles spread out and his body parts fused with those of numerous plants, could only be described as bizarre. He was like a divine, deformed god punishing mankind.

"......!"
At that moment, Wolfwood gulped when he spotted a figure near Knives' left shoulder that was different from the plant. There it was, the face of a young child with blonde hair. The expression on his face was vaguely familiar. Most of all, Wolfwood recognized the distinctive mole under the left eye.

"SPIKY, you ......."
For the first time, Wolfwood was crestfallen when he learned why his order had been withdrawn.

------

"Vash, Vash ......"
The young child awoke to a voice calling out.

"Hmmm, good morning sisters. What's up today?"
"Nothing much, but it's morning already. It's time to get up."
"I'm not busy if there's nothing to say ......"
"It would be a shame if Knives only worked and we slept."
"I'd like to hear your story today, too. I want to hear about a place I've never heard of before."
"I'll tell you a story about the most northerly town I've ever been to."
"What's that? I've never heard of it. Tell me, please."

------

"Vash, Vash ......"
Vash woke up today to someone calling out to him.

"Nn......? Huh? Who are you?"
Vash frowned at the unfamiliar face, and the person who shook him awake chuckled.
"Who do you think I am?"
"Hmmm...? I'm not sure if that's ...... Kni?"
Vash's eyes widened in surprise. Knives nodded at him and picked up his little body.

"What? Why? Why are you suddenly so grown up?" Vash said.
Vash looked to be about ten years old, but Knives, who picked him up lightly, was a stocky man who appeared to be over twenty.

Vash, wearing a light gray bodysuit that covered him to the tips of his fingers, was so indignant that he put his hands on both of Knives' cheeks. He continued to touch his ears, nose, muscular chest, and arms. Knives smiled and let his brother do what he wanted.

”Oh, hey, you got wings! That's so cool!”
As Vash touched Knives, he noticed a single feather that looked like a stack of knives growing out of his back and a tentacle that looked like a myriad of small knives connected to each other as well, and he leaned forward on his back side with a twinkle in his eye.

"Don't touch it carelessly. You'll get hurt."
Knives said and gently moved the feathers and tentacles toward Vash. Vash followed the movement with sparkling eyes.

"So why are you the only one growing so fast?"
Vash seemed satisfied with his first glance at the feathers and tentacles, and then, as if remembering, he reiterated his original question.
"I didn't grow up fast. It is you who has not grown. It's been more than a hundred and fifty years since our 1st birthday."
"That's a lie!"

Vash did not want to believe Knives' words at all. Still, Knives didn't care, and with a giggle, he shifted his position slightly and took his brother in his arms once more.
”Well, if you don't believe me, that's okay. We're going to move around a little bit.”
”Where are you going?”
”Wanna play the piano with me?”
”I would love to play the piano with you, but you have to put me down. I can walk by myself.”
”No, it's faster this way.”
”Hey! Don't treat me like a child!”

Vash was still in his arms and pounded Knives' shoulder with his fist, but it was a cute resistance for him. Knives laughed and took him to a room a short distance away, not caring about Vash's resistance.

When they reached the entrance to the room, Knives finally lowered Vash, who was clutched to his chest, to the floor.
"Oh! Wow, a piano with big pipes!"
Vash's eyes lit up as he spotted the piano set up at the back of the room and several pipes stretching out from the piano to the back of the room.
The room was like a large hall, with several white plant statues placed in a circle.

Vash quickly sat down on the left side of the piano chair, looked back at Knives, and encouraged him to sit next to her with his eyes. Knives quickly caught up and sat down on Vash's right side.

-tum… tum…-
-tum… tum…-

Knives took charge of the piano's upper register and Vash of the lower register, and the two played the notes, making sure to feel the keys of the piano.

"Hmmm..."
"What's the matter Vash, hard to play?"
'It's not that hard, but ..."
Knives called out to Vash, who was looking dissatisfied with a furrowed brow.
Vash felt that even though they sat side by side like before, Knives was much larger than him and it felt very uncomfortable. The height of the chair also seems to have been adapted to Knives, so it was a little low for Vash.

"Oh, yeah!"
Vash's expression suddenly brightened and he jumped down from his chair once.

"........."
"Yeah, this one's easy to play."
Knives was somewhat taken aback and froze, blinking his eyes, while Vash looked satisfied.
Vash got out of the chair and sat Knives down in the center of the chair, then sat himself on his lap and began to test the instrument with a satisfied look.

"...... Is this what you want?" Knives said.
"Yes! This is just the right height for my chair.
I'll play in the middle and you can reach both ends!"
"I see! I sure like this one."
"Oh, stop laughing!"
"I'm sorry. The height of the chair wasn't right for you either. This is a good idea."

"You're going to have to change your part, so make sure you follow me."
"Of course."
Vash said challengingly as he turned around, and Knives grinned and nodded.

Then Knives began to play a melody. It was the song of the plants that Vash had hummed earlier. Vash began to play a secondary melody to Knives' melody.
The slow pace of the performance accelerated after Vash joined in, and they followed each other's notes as if they were competing with each other.
Through the pipes, a rich tone filled the entire hall.

------

"Are you a little tired?"
"Hmm, I'm fine ..."
Knives noticed Vash blinking sleepily and whispered softly in his ear.
More than two hours had already passed since they had started playing, with breaks in between. Even though they were both engrossed in playing for the first time in a long time, it was getting late at night for Vash, who needed to get some sleep.

"We can always play together again. Let's take the rest of the day off."
Knives admonished in a gentle voice, and when he stopped playing, Vasch followed suit in a mature manner.

"Come on, let's go back."
"OK."
At Knives' invitation, Vash turned to face his brother and closed his eyes.
Knives narrowed his eyes lovingly and took his brother's small chin and gently placed it on his lips. Then Vash's image was instantly scratched away.

"Good night, Vash. See you tomorrow."
Knives murmured softly in the large hall where he was alone.

------

"Vash, Vash ..."
"Yeah ..."
A soft shaking of his body woke Vash up.
He finds himself in front of a man who looks like a family member he knows well.

"...!"
Vash was startled and backed away as quickly as he could, but his back hit the bedboard immediately.

Seeing Vash so frightened, the man in front of him looked forlorn for a moment, but still asked Vash in a gentle tone.
"Does your arm hurt?"
"Kni ..."

"Why ...?"
"So many things have happened. It's been over a hundred years since then."
He looked confused, but seemed to understand that his brother had no hostile intentions. Vash relaxed a little.

”My arm doesn't hurt. The blood stopped right away. You must have taken care of it when he cut me."
”Yeah."
"I'm sorry I pointed the gun at you. You were trying to help me and I did a terrible thing."
”No, I was too quick. You didn't want that man killed, did you?”
”...Yes”
”And, ...”
”?”
”You were afraid of the physical changes, weren't you?”

Knives heard Vash gasp.

By now, Knives was well aware of the Vash situation at that time. At that time, Vash was in a transitional stage of physical change unique to the plant.

Vash was surrounded by humans and had no one to talk to about his problems. The physical changes were having a negative impact on Vash's mind, and he was in a very unstable state mentally at that time.

"It's okay Vash, we're the only ones here."
"......"
"Our bodies are like humans, but different in nature. There's nothing strange about your change."
"You've noticed my change?"
"Yes, I know. So don't hold back and hide it in front of me. It's a natural part of the process of growing up."
"But you're not, are you?"
"I too have changed as I grew up."
Saying this, Knives made feathers and tentacles appear on his back.

Vash looked flabbergasted and stared at his brother's back.
Knives gently enveloped his brother with his wings and tentacles.
"You and I are a pair," he said.
"Some parts are the same, some parts mirror each other. Like the location of the mole near our eyes," Knives laughed.

"There is nothing strange about changing in each direction, it is proper evolution," Knives gently reminded his younger brother.
A peculiar plant pattern appeared on Knives' face. He moved his face closer and gently touched Vash's forehead with his own.

"Don't worry, Vash, I'm here for you. Don't force yourself to hold back, release your power."
Knives clasped his hands together and told him this, and the same pattern began to appear on Vash's face as it did on Knives'.
"Ah ......."
The pattern appeared even inside his eyes, and Vash felt a hot wave welling up from within his body.

"Ah...... ah...... ugh."
Vash wriggled, glowing with plant patterns and breathing roughly. Knives hugged his brother tightly.
"It's okay, Vash."
Knives kissed Vash when his breathing had calmed down a little and breathed gently into his mouth.
When Vash had a seizure, he would flail and break the kiss, but Knives held him gently all over and watched as the seizure subsided. This was repeated many times.

At first, Vash's lost left arm was gradually restored to its original form, right down to the fingertips.
Then, gradually, Vash's plant pattern spread from her neck to her chest and abdomen, shining brighter and brighter. The pattern quietly changed shape like ripples on Vash's body.

"A ...... ah ...... ah!"
Vash let out an especially loud cry and arched his back.
"Oh, Vash."
Knives laid Vash on the bed, holding him from the front, and pulled his body away a little to look at him with satisfaction.
"You've finally blossomed," he said.
Vash's entire body, illuminated by the moonlight, was dazzling with flower-like plant patterns.

"Kni ......"
Knives hugged Vash gently once more as he held out his arms with tears in his eyes.
"It's all right now," he said, "you'll be stable from now on. Rest easy today."
Knives kissed Vash, and Vash's body slowly melted into the moonlight.

------

"Kni ......"
On the third night, Knives faced Vash in his original adult form.

"You already know what's going on now, Vash."
"Why ......? That time at JULY, you ......"
"I told you I would create our paradise. I reconstructed my body, and I'm back."
Knives said and hugged Vash's body, which had grown back to its original form. He did not resist, and put his arms fearfully around his brother's back.

Knives let out a small smile, and then turned Vash's body slightly away from him to look into his eyes.
"I could have fused you all the time, but I still prefer to face you like this."
"Kni ......!"
Knives pushed his tearful brother straight down on the bunk.

The kisses, which brought their faces close together, soon became a deep tongue-twirling affair.
"Ha......a......"
"......n......ha."
Both of them were breathing heavily and changing their angles, seeking each other intensely, not wanting to be separated from each other even for a moment.

After a few moments, Knives stopped kissing and went on to lick Vash's neck, biting hard enough to leave a mark on his earlobe.
"Ah, ......!"
Knives held his brother's body, which jumped up and down, with his weight, and inserted his tongue into his ear.

"Ah...ah......, stop, Kni...!"
Vash's other ear was blocked by Knives' large hand, and an obscene sound reverberated through his brain. Knives sucked and licked up inside his ear, causing Vash to get goosebumps and scream uncontrollably.
Vash shook his head frantically to escape his brother, but this time he was licked on the other ear as well, causing him to scream even more.

"Hn......, ahem!"
After a while, Vash was finally freed from his brother, but his chest rose and fell, his breathing became ragged, and his throat withered and he coughed.
Knives looked down with satisfaction as he straddled his brother, who looked up at him with teary eyes in such a state.

"Have you given up?"
"Kni ......!"
Knives covered his brother's mouth as he tried to protest the teasing and poured water purified by the plant's ability into his mouth. Vash's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly and honestly swallowed the water given to him, probably because he was thirsty.
When his brother slowed down to swallow the water and it was felt that his dryness had been quenched, Knives stopped refining the water and released his mouth.

Knives then stripped off the single piece of cloth that had loosely covered his brother's body. In the moonlight, his white body was beautifully glowing with plant patterns, leaving no trace of the wounds he had received from humans.

Knives smiled and gently placed his hand on Vash's genitals, which were completely standing up and spilling their pre-cum, and ran his fingers along the crack of his lower abdomen further down from there.
"You're all wet."
"Silly you!"
Knives told him with a smile, and his brother turned bright red and looked away.
The body of the younger brother had also been equipped with the female function due to the blossoming of last night. This is not possible for humans because the male and female organs separate from the same organ. But because he is a plant, he is now fully androgynos.

"Vash," Knives called again to his brother, who turned away.
"I will not touch the third ship that has been protecting you," he told Vash, who looked back at him fearfully.
"I swear to you that I will not touch any human being that the third ship accepts."
Vash's eyes widened in surprise.

”I have also found a way to green this planet without using plants.”
”So give me another chance to create a plant paradise on this planet with you and me."
”Kni ......!”

Vash looked up at his brother with clinging eyes.
"Are you sure? Can you do that?"
"You wouldn't be convinced otherwise, would you?"
"It sounds unbelievable ...... but thank you, Kni."
"I'd love to keep you alive inside me, fused together, but I want to live next door to you, with you. Let me into you, Vash."
At Knives' confession, Vash's eyes widened, then he answered with a tearful smile.
"I want to live with you, too, Kni. Come, Kni," Vash said, and they hugged each other tightly.

------

"Ah...... ah!"
Holding Vash's body tightly, Knives buried his dick into Vash's crotch. Knives restrained Vash's body as he tried to move by reflex, but carefully, so as not to hurt him, he slowly pushed his pussy open.

Vash felt Knives pushing open a part of his body that had just changed yesterday. Knives' dick invaded Vash's body with a wetness and heat that brought Vash more than just discomfort in his lower abdomen, but an irrepressible euphoria. The euphoria ran like a ripple through Vash's entire body.
Before long, Vash's eyes were filled with tears, and every time he blinked, a tear would spill from the corner of his eye.

Knives looked down at Vash, smiled, and gave a shower of kisses that only lightly touched his face. Finally, he sip a tear from the corner of his eye.
"Is your body hurting?"
"Nn...... okay."

Knives gazed lovingly at Vash's expression of ecstasy, then shook his hips finely and began another penetration of his dick.
Ah! ...Nnn..."
Vash let out a sweet voice under the stimulation, then blushed and looked away. However, as the stimulation on his crotch increased, Vash gradually lost the time to mend his ways and only let out a rough breath.

Finally, Knives lowered his hips and thrusts Vash up all at once, then stopped moving.
"Ah......, ah!"
Vash screamed at the most forceful stimulation he had ever received.

Once again holding him tightly with his chest close together, Knives brushed Vash's bangs.
The last stimulation must have brought him to a light orgasm, and his brother's pussy quivered finely, gently stimulating Knives' dick.

"Is it okay if I move?"
"Uh... wait Kni, just a little bit longer ......"
"I see."
The expression on Vash's face, which had no room to spare, was quite lovely, and Knives dropped another kiss on the corner of his eye.

After a little while, Vash seemed to calm down and turned his sideways face back to the front, looking Knives in the eye and telling him in a small voice, "It's all right."

Knives smiled and reattached the arm that had been around his back to Vash's slender waist.
From there, he straightened up all at once and began to move his hips in long, hard strokes.

”Oh! Wait, Kni!”
”I won't. You're all right, aren't you? We're going to keep going, Vash.”
Vash screamed at the feeling of her pussy being violently rubbed up and down, a complete change from the gentle movements she had just experienced. Knives held him by the waist, and Vash's legs lifted slightly off the bunk, moving like an algae scratch, his fingertips curling as he endured the pleasure.

"Oh..., ah......ahh!"
Vash finally climaxed, almost skipping consciousness, after being repeatedly stimulated and rubbed directly by the pussy that was accepting her partner for the first time. The interior of Vash's pussy continued to twitch, contract, and expand, and Vash could feel the shape of Knives' dick.

Knives lovingly watched Vash as he climaxed for the first time under his own leading, and pulled his hips back once.
"Ah..."
A sweet sigh escaped from Vash's mouth at the sensation of a large mass leaving his body.

"Did it feel good? Vash."
"So mean ..."
Vash glared at his teasing brother who dared him to say it. Even Knives would have known immediately how good Vash felt about it.

Knives laughed out loud and suddenly grabbed Vash by both ankles and placed them on his shoulders.
"What are you doing?"
"You're getting used to it, aren't you? We're going to start in earnest."
"What? Wait, Kni"
Knives, not caring about Vash's surprise, began to push his dick into Vash's pussy again. Yes, it was only Vash who had just reached his climax, and Knives had not yet even once.

"Don't pass out too soon, Vash."
Knives said with a grin, a fierce color in his cobalt green eyes.

------

"No, Kni ... no, ah!! "
"Haha, good, Vash, it's tight."
The second time they changed their positions, the sex was incomparably more stimulating than the previous one, and Vash continued to scream even as his voice died down.

"ha … ah!! "
Knives' movements did not slow down, but only grew more violent, and Vash almost lost consciousness. Then, black tentacles like plant roots sprouted from Vash's back and crawled up toward Knives through the gap between the bunk and the bed.

Vasch's tentacles slitheringly and eerily extended, but Knives, with a look of delight on his face, himself produced several tentacles with feather-shaped knives attached from his back and extended them toward Vasch's roots.

The black tentacles entwined with the metallic whip-like tentacles. Surrounding them and spreading wide to cover their figures, the two colored tentacles soon emitted a blue light like a pulse signal and began to exchange power with each other.

”Keep it up, Vash, unleash your power as you go."
Knives licked his tongue as he was illuminated by the blue light passing between his tentacles.
Knives' "supply power" and Vash's "drain power" were intermingling and enhancing each other. If they continued at this rate, a small hole would open to a higher dimension, through which they could connect to the cores of the plants.

Unlike the time before, the gate will not open large enough to allow Knives himself to enter the higher dimensions, but even a small hole is enough to allow Vash's "embryo" to connect to the core through his tentacles. This method would ensure the birth of the indipendents.

"Aaah!"
"Ha!"
As an even brighter light emitted from Vash's tentacles, Knives also climaxed and bursted.

------

Knives washed Vash's fluid-soaked body with hot water and tucked him back into bed.
He dropped a loving kiss on his brother, who slept tired from the exertion.
”You have done well, Vash.”
His brother's presence, indispensable to paradise, is complete. All that remained was to go on from there.

After making sure that Vash was deeply asleep, Knives left the room and walked down a quiet corridor where there was not a single sound.
A freestanding robot was performing maintenance in the hallway, but there was no other sign of living creatures.

It is only natural that no one is there, for two hundred years had already passed since the fusion of Vash.
The members of Gun Ho Guns were already gone, and this base, formerly located in JULY, is all maintained by an AI designed by Knives and its terminals.

Even on the third ship, cold sleep was reaching its limits due to the natural deterioration of the equipment. As a result, the crew was gradually dwindling and following a path of gradual decline, even without the Knives' intervention.
The only success is that the geoplant left behind by Louida, who died decades ago, is still expanding its green space in a self-sustaining manner. This, Knives felt, was brilliant, even though he was the enemy.
In another hundred years, however, the crew will all reach the end of their lives, and it will only be necessary to recover the remaining plants after that.

The words that Knives told Vash do not lie. But everything was already too late for humanity to survive on this planet.

"We have finally created our own paradise," Knives muttered contentedly in the empty corridor.

(End)
