Chapter 1: The Story
Chapter Text
It's 20XX. Many years have passed since various evils have threatened the fate of the Earth.
From terrorist groups, aliens, demons to shady private corporations and government units, evil has no limits.
To combat these groups and the growing use of bio/alien/futuristic technology and magic, the United Nations established a black ops anti-bio/alien/magic unit known as the Terrestrial Counter-Alien, Demon and Magic Response (TCADMR) in the early 1990s as a response to the early appearance of demons and bio-tech enhanced creatures during the Cold War.
While it was meant to unite all known groups and units that have fought aliens and monsters, most have resisted being under its command with a few choosing to do so as long as they can retain their autonomy in daily operations; some of these groups have overt and covert links with extraterrestrial parent units. Some others struck on their own, refusing to let bureaucracy get in the way when there's a chance of new bad guys coming out of the woodwork.
More time passed. It seemed uncertain if new threats are emerging from the dark. But they are here to stay.
It was not long before a string of attacks worldwide were brought to the attention of various superhero individuals and teams with a threatening note brought to their attention.
If you wish to save your world, then fight me. Otherwise, prepare to suffer the consequences with the fate of your world in my hands.
The various heroes would need to put any of their differences aside to work out who was the culprit responsible for sending out the threatening note and more importantly, who is the new threat that wants to bring chaos to the world?
The TCADMR is dispatched after hearing rumors on a couple of cases.
Our story starts when a covert investigation was launched into the Institute of Super Science (ISS), a supposed reputable biotech research center, on rumors of biotechnology experiments on missing persons throughout Tokyo. It's rumored that the disgraced black ops unit Shade is working secretly with the ISS on abducting these persons on behalf of the ISS' backers.
Meanwhile, an ISS representative wanted for multiple crimes in several jurisdictions was reported to be last seen trying to make contact with someone from Coral Harbor's Energy Management Center.
Other heroes have converged on either these two locations as well to get to the bottom of things that have bewildered the public.
Will these heroes who will save the world? Or will they fail and usher in certain doom?
Chapter 2: History of TCADMR
Chapter Text
March 1990:
After seeing aliens, demons and terrorists wreck havoc globally, the UN has decided to convene a Security Council meeting behind closed doors in March 1990. This was mostly chaired by the Permanent Five without the other 10 non-permanent members.
During the meeting, it was only known that they have talked about the recent attacks made by the cult Gorgom and the intergalactic alien invasion force known as Vyram. They all realized that they did not put enough efforts to bolster their existing units after EAGLE facilities were taken out by the Black Cross Army in the 1960s, taking advantage of tensions in the Cold War between the West and East.
It was known, without the details being specified, that the new unit would be a global unit meant to tackle cases of bio/alien-based technology and magic being used by a variety of hostile groups.
Further details will be made on who would head this proposed unit.
April 1990:
Following deliberations, UNSC president Abdullah Saleh al-Ashtal announced that ex-EAGLE officer Gonpachi Edogawa will lead TCADMR as its first commander. He will take his post on April and will be posted until 1995.

Hero Factions/Names in/post-Zyuranger and Power Rangers:
- Zyuranger/Power Rangers
- After Zordon finds out that Bandora was freed, he made an effort to contact Barza due to their shared history in trying to take on Lord Zedd years ago.
- Barza trained the warriors known as Zyurangers from suspended animation while Zordon had to choose five Angel Grove High School students in order to be the Power Rangers. It was supposedly suggested that both teams worked them to take on Bandora and Great Satan from their respective regions.
- Both teams used the same weapons/gear/mechs, but had different names for them. The Zords used by the PR team were not sentient.
- Ohranger/Zeo Rangers
- Both teams worked to stop the Baranoia from invading. Naoyuki Miura acted to represent the Ohrangers in TCADMR operations; he led an investigation once on how the ZRs were able to use similar weapons/gear like the ORs. Miura wasn't able to find out that Zordon had a hand in it.
- Both teams used the same weapons/gear/mechs, but had different names for them.
- Carranger/Turbo Rangers
- Both teams operated independently of each other. They used the same weapons/gear/mechs, but had different names for them.
- There was an incident where the two teams fought each other's bad guys.
- Megaranger/Space Rangers
- Both teams worked under the International Network of Excel-Science and Technology (INET) and/or NASADA as cover. INET worked with Andros to provide technical assistance on their weapons/gear/mechs.
- Both teams worked under the International Network of Excel-Science and Technology (INET) and/or NASADA as cover. INET worked with Andros to provide technical assistance on their weapons/gear/mechs.
- Gingamen/Galaxy Rangers
- Both teams operated independently, even though they fought against the Balban. They acquired their weapons/gear/mechs differently, including having different names.
- The GRs mostly fought against Scorpius and Trakeena.
- GoGoFive/Lightspeed Rangers
- Professor Mondo Tatsumi and Captain William Mitchell collaborated on creating the weapons/mechs used by the teams in Asasaki City and Mariner Bay after the Psyma Family reemerged and formed the two teams.
- Angela Fairweather spent some time in Asasaki City working with Professor Tatsumi to ensure the mech/weapons/gear can be tested.
- TCADMR funded R&D efforts to ensure the teams got working weapons/mechs.
- Timeranger/Time Force Rangers
- Time Force would be a global police force in the 30th/31st century that specializes in time-based criminal/terrorist incidents. Both ranger groups are under the TF and use the same mech/weapons/gear.
- Two teams are displaced into Shinagawa, Tokyo (Japan) and Silver City (US).
- The rangers are involved in anti-Londrez ops with the Silver Guardians, a law enforcement PMC company created by the Collins Group. The SG has a Japanese branch managed by the Asami Group with its main office in Shinagawa, albeit with greater autonomy. Both share a desire to use law enforcement contracts to take on the Londrez and other criminals/terrorists regular police forces cannot handle. The National Police Agency (NPA) made an exception for the SG's Japanese branch since they were actively taking on the Londrez (Rumors suggest that TCADMR persuaded them) more than the American head office.
- At the time, TCADMR intelligence was concerned that Collins and Asami are interested to mass-produce Time Fire-based tech and thus, launched operations to ensure that both companies do not acquire them. Rumors have it that one of the V Commanders was left to a TCADMR agent after securing it from Tatsumi Asami aside from the other VC left to one of the SG commanders in the US.
- The SG's operations were slowly intergrated to TCAMDR before the Londrez were taken out thanks to a change in management where the unit had the opportunity to influence its operations secretly after SG was launched in Silver City. Currently, they operate autonomously as a PMC.
- Gaoranger/Wild Force Rangers
- Both ranger teams were summoned to fight the Org by Princess Shayla with assistance from Priestess Tetomu.
- Both their yellow rangers were already recruited by TCADMR, so it was easier for them to work together.
- Hurricaneger/Ninja Rangers
- Hurricanegers and Ninja Rangers joined forces after their ninja schools were targeted by the Space Ninja Groups.
- Hurricanegers and Ninja Rangers joined forces after their ninja schools were targeted by the Space Ninja Groups.
- Abaranger/Dino Thunder Rangers
- Abarangers and DTRs worked separately to handle their threats.
- Both ranger teams use the same weapons/gear/mechs, but had different names for them.
- Special Police Dekaranger
- SPD has branches in Japan (Megalopolis) and the US [Currently known in the West Coast] (Newtech). Mech/weapons/gear taken from Dekaranger.
- Japanese branch led by Doggie Kruger and the US (West Coast) branch led by Anubis Cruger. It's reported that one of the C/Krugers may be up for a transfer or retirement under orders from Kight Reidlich.
- Unlike the SPD PR version, SPD officers are allowed to delete Alienizers, including those from the TE.
- Magiranger/Mystic Force Rangers
- Udonna and Sungel (with Miyuki Ozu) formerly collaborated to make plans in case Infershia would become a threat again. This ranged from the weapons to the mechs the teams would get when they are formed.

- Shinkenger/Samurai Rangers
- The Shiba Family in Japan (in Asasaki City) has American-based relatives (mix of those who immigrated before and after WWII and those who were born in either the US or Canada) in Panorama City.
- Both families had retainers appointed by the previous Shiba Family (Main) head.
- Goseigers/Mega Rangers
- The Goseigers and Mega Rangers took on the Evil Spirits. Master Head and Gosei coordinated their efforts.
- Mega Rangers never took on Gokaiger-based powers.
- Gokaigers
- Gokaigers took on the Armada.
- Gai Ikari and Orion fought the Armada in separate occasions. They did work together sometimes and the former helped Orion settle on Earth (He wanted him to be his bestie/roommate in Japan though) before TCADMR got wind of his presence. Both men assisted the Mega Rangers (with the Gokaigers) at times.
- It's reported that Orion has his own device, similar to Gai's Gokai Cellular. He has refused to comment on how he got it, except that he does think that the tech used to make it is similar to what Gai has.
- It's reported that Orion has his own device, similar to Gai's Gokai Cellular. He has refused to comment on how he got it, except that he does think that the tech used to make it is similar to what Gai has.

- TCADMR sometimes classify GB operations as CT-type missions.
- Rumored to be on the hunt for Scrozzle after reports came of him working with the Vaglass.
- Ryusolgers/Dino Fury Rangers
- Both teams took on Druidon. Worked together to hunt down a revived Lord Zedd and Scrozzle.
- Both teams had different names for their mech/weapons/gear. Same goes with henshin sequences.
Notes:
Story notes on the backstory of various heroes since the Power Ranger/Sentai teams exist side by side with some exceptions. If exceptions are made, assume that their henshin and sentai/PR roll call is also diffferent.
It'll be updated when it needs to.

The heroes and villains of Super Hero Taisen: Conspiracy
Heroes:
* Marc Lu (Orange Buster)
- Of Canadian-Chinese descent, but was adopted at a young age by a Canadian of Chinese-Filipino origin. Formerly an intelligence analyst with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and reservist with the Canadian Army prior to being enlisted by TCADMR in his late 30s. Before he joined CSIS, Marc studied for a Master's degree in Strategic Studies at the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies (CMSS) at the University of Calgary, Alberta. He lived in the Philippines, Japan and Singapore when he was young, in part due to his father's work in the government, being trilingual in English, Tagalog and Japanese. He considered himself a black sheep in his extended family since he never had an interest in business or economics.
During his time as a reservist in the Canadian Army doing intelligence work, Marc was involved in operations that led to interdiction of supplies in Northeast Asia, supposedly planned by Foundation X.
* Tyler Jones (Red Blue SWAT armor)
- An ex-Irish Army soldier who went to TCADMR after his service with the Army Ranger Wing (ARW). His parents with Irish academics who have spent most of their time in the United States with him being raised there with his older sister and brother. They subsequently relocated to Tokyo as the parents have accepted an offer to teach there. Said to be fluent in English, Irish and Japanese. Tyler chose to take a career in the military and studied at the Military College in Curragh Camp, The Curragh, County Kildare prior to being commissioned as an officer.
Most of his activities with the ARW are deemed classified. But rumors have it that he was involved in secret counter-terrorist operations alongside American, Canadian and French SF units in Africa, some of them may have involve fighting against aliens and/or genetically engineered mutants. These details were only known to TCADMR, but are off-limits to everyone else, except to Tyler's superiors in the Irish military and government.
* Doug Manahi (Deka Orange)
- A New Zealander of Māori origin, he was one of the few Māori in his local community who decided to join the New Zealand military to make a better life for himself. Doug followed the footsteps of his father, who held a position in the New Zealand's 1st Ranger Company before he was reassigned to the 1st Battalion after he enlisted in the 2/1st Battalion. Doug joined the Royal New Zealand Corps of Signals under the 3 Signals Squadron. Two years later, he enlisted in the New Zealand Special Air Service Regiment (NZSAS Regt). Doug was assigned to B Squadron, though he was assigned to D Squadron for a few months for additional training.
No details of his service in the regiment were disclosed, with an exception made to TCADMR, though off-limits to everyone as well (except to those in the New Zealander military and government), that rumors of him fighting against pro-Shocker and Sorcerers Clan remnants are true under anti-terrorist operations.
* Ralph Anders (Ganbarider [Green/Red])
- From the US state of Washington, Ralph has background of political science and international relations before he started to work in the risk management sector. He specialized in geopolitical risk analysis in Southeast and East Asia. In addition, he collaborated with various think tanks on using open source intelligence (OSINT) research to track down mysterious operations being launched (supposedly) by unknown criminals and terrorists. His personal details were doxxed online and as a result, was nearly killed in a carbomb attack after there was a failed abduction attempt.
TCADMR, behind the scenes, helped him out by ensuring the arrest of the assassins while assisting him to "find" a new job in another private intelligence company, which also happened to be a cover provided just for him to help out the unit in anti-alien/bio/terrorist operations. Ralph acquired a Ganbaride Driver during a raid on a mechnical components factory before he made a request to join the unit, only after some considerations were made due to his non-LEO/military background.

OP Sequence
20XX
TCADMR has not made it public that various persons from different worlds have arrived via portals. The agency planned to keep it that way.
They were approached with offers of protection on the condition that work alongside them as agents or contractors, given that they do not exist. Some chose to do so as a means of finding work and/or a place for them to seek shelter. Other chose to live anonymously, giving up on the idea that they can go back to their world.
Meanwhile, the abduction cases in Japan have brought up greater scrutiny for TCAMDR to secretly intervene, having no choice but not to alert the National Police Agency, based on the severity of the situation. Two of the abduction victims have ties to influential UN officials, but this has not been reported so far. Except that they're among the kidnapped and missing.
In the US, the mysterious person previously sighted in Coral Harbor is suspected of committing murder. Murder that has suspicious ties to the long-dead Neo-Nazi terrorist group known as Shocker. Nothing has tied him officially, but the coincidental appearance of Koichi Omiya and Ryuzaburo Sakata in the city has TCADMR giving no chances that they've ordered their agents/friendlies to investigate their presence and figure out what's going on. TCADMR has kept a lid on Omiya and Sakata's presence in the city.
So far, things have proceeded under wraps.
A rumor has persisted among the rank and file of TCADMR that a new team is being set up for wetwork operations, including assassination of hostile VIPs if need be. Regardless if it would be on Earth or in space. Or in another dimension.
The story begins in Japan where the ISS is targeted for an TCADMR anti-terrorist operation.
"The world will not accept dictatorship or domination" ― Mikhail Gorbachev
Somewhere near Futo City-Tokyo border, Japan
An East Asian-looking man in his 30s was seen getting on one of the route buses from Tokyo heading towards Futo in the early afternoon.
He seemed like an average guy. Dressed in a black tactical jacket with hoodie, jeans and black tactical boots, he seemed to just enjoy looking outside.
Oh great...
However, his Apple Iphone 11 got an incoming message. When he opened a messaging app, it had the message that said,
"HEAD TO FUTO TOWER. WE'RE MUSTERING SUPPORT FOR THIS CASE."
Guess vacation time is over.
He planned to get off the bus as soon as it stops by the Futo JR Station and use the nearest taxi he can get.
Getting off, the man went to the parked Audi A4 taxi in the taxi stand, being used by Futo Taxi Service (which is not the typical taxi vehicle used, unless the company owner has a lot to pay for it).
<"Futo Tower. I'm meeting someone."> The man told the driver after he got inside in Japanese.
<"Not a problem, sir.">
The FTS Audi A4 drove away from the Futo JR Station taxi stand towards the direction of Futo Tower.
Somewhere in Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
The Coral Harbor Police Bureau (CHPB) was tasked to investigate the murder of a civilian in some roadside cafe. His ID indicated that he's an active employee of EMC.
So far, CHPB was told that some specialists were coming to check it out. And they were told to cooperate with said specialists.
One of the officers standing next to a marked CHPB 2018 Ford Taurus-type Police Interceptor Sedan asked who was coming.
The other two officers, standing on guard duty in the crime scene, shrugged their shoulders.
As customary per investigation, the corpse was covered in a blanket. The cafe was told to close for a few days, which started from yesterday night. A couple of detectives have checked the crime scene and have taken the man's mobile phone and wallet for evidence.
Another officer complained on why he had to stuck in the early graveyard shift.
"Pardon me." The officers were alerted to the voice of a person standing behind the police tape. He seemed to have a neck scarf that covered his mouth and nose. He was also wearing shades.
"Sir." One of the armed CHPB officers approached the person. "You're not suppose to be loitering around. This is a crime scene."
"I'm sorry."
The officer was confused.
But all of a sudden, the person seemingly (all of a sudden) stabbed the officer in the stomach.
"Shit! Gary's stabbed!"
The other three CHPB officers halfway drew out their Glock 17 pistols from their duty holsters.
Their actions were met by suppressed gunfire that came from the nearby alleys. The officer who got stabbed was also shot at, with one of the suppressed gunshots hitting him in the head.
"Clear!" The shades-wearing man said.
The gunmen emerged from the alleys, donned in familiar gray sneaking suits with a black diagonal stripe; their faces were covered with a black and gray balaclava that had two sinister-looking eyeholes, black belt and boots. They were armed with Heckler & Koch MP7A2 submachine guns with vertical foregrips (attached) and EOTech sights. In addition, they were seen wearing wolf gray plate carrier-type vests and leg holsters.
"Secure the body. Let's see if we can check it for other things we can use in case he's been trying to siphon information from his former employment with the ISS."
"Sir."
A gray 2020 Ford Transit Van with no license plates attached was seen backing up, rear first towards the police tape.
"What about the cruiser?" One of the armed men asked.
"Disable them. Better to leave the CHPB immobile for a bit then for those vehicles to be used again."
"Understood."
"And what about the detectives who got his personal items?"
"Heard that arrangements are being made for a guy in the CHPB to smuggle them out."
"That ought to make our jobs easier."
The van parked near the police tape, although some of the armed men ripped it so that it was easier for them to move around instead of hopping over.
A body bag was taken from the van, which was used to bag the corpse. The blanket used to cover it was also taken as a precaution to make sure nothing was left behind that could be used to identify the perpetrators who killed the officers.
After the corpse was loaded in the van, already in body bag, the van took off.
There were some surveillance cameras placed outside. But unknown to the public, a hack was done on the CHPB and to various private security company servers to ensure that they have blocked access.
Somewhere near Futo Tower, Futo, Japan
The East Asian man with a crewcut-type haircut walked towards the direction of Futo Tower, but his iPhone 11 smartphone received an incoming SMS message through an app that said, "LOOK FOR MIDDLE BENCH. SIT DOWN WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE WITH BROWN JACKET READING NEWSPAPER."
The man read through the message and found the said person reading the newspaper. Taking a glance, he saw that the paper was the Asahi Shimbun.
Taking the cue from the anonymous message, he sat down in one of the benches. He was seated and looked at the people walking back and forth to the tower.
The man was still reading the newspaper when he said in Japanese, <"So I trust the sights and sounds of Futo are good?">
<"Quite different.">
<"And how are things in Canada?">
<"Settled. We took care of things in Ukraine also.">
<"...">
<"It's not a big deal. Aside from nearly being killed out there...">
<"Understood."> The man reading the newspaper changed to using English. "You've been keeping an eye on the news."
"Yes, sir. I heard unofficially that some of the kidnapped have ties to UN officials."
"That part is known officially. TCADMR has pressured the NPA and other relevant organizations not to disclose that particular piece of information, officially or otherwise."
"It won't be long before parts of the public gets wind of it."
"Indeed. That's why Chiefs Birkin and Kato are making the call to raid the Institute of Super Science."
"How suspicious is the place?"
"Since the place was surveilled 24/7, the facility's been seen with some shady and familiar characters going in and out, not to mention being part of its security."
"How lovely. Hope I'm going to go all-out by myself."
"They know this and they've mentioned providing support."
"Any support?"
"ZECTroopers are on standby. Once the kinks on the Guardians are worked on, they'll join in the raid too. Oh yeah, they both said another guy on the experimental team's due to arrive."
"Personally, I'd like to get all the help I can get."
"I think our hands are going to be tied, but I'll pass it along the chain."
"Fair enough. When's backup coming?"
"Don't know. Could be later."
"I hate uncertainty."
"So do I. Not sure, but there's another case in Coral Harbor that requires our attention."
"Damn... Guess that's escalated."
"Unless you got further questions... There's a parked Toyota HiAce nearby waiting for you with your gear."
"Alright. I know the drill."
"One more thing. The mole in the security detail said that one of the nurses is having second thoughts. It's in regards to the tests they've been doing."
"What kind?"
"The one that the ISS is claiming that research there is meant to find cures for incurable diseases like AIDS and various types of cancer."
"That's a nice cover for biotechnology tests."
"One more thing." The man passed a folder over Marc's right shoulder. "HQ wants you to look at the names and faces here."
"Sure."
Marc read the folder's content saw a few names with their faces on it.
Daimon Kazamatsuri
Ai Asuka
Iwao Himuro
Goushima
Giichi Onizuka
"Two of the names there are VIPs you need to look into. From what intelligence was gathered up, Dr. Kazamatsuri is having second thoughts on having his son involved on his supposed research. The nurse is also on it."
"What kind of research?" Marc read the bios of Kazamatsuri and Asuka and checked their photos; he then went to read Himuro, Goushima and Onizuka's bio and check their photos.
"The truth is that someone's backing the ISS with a load of cash that they can afford to have a well-armed security force and state of the art research lab. The director, Dr. Himuro, is working with the backers to create cyborg supersoldiers by using the kidnapped victims for R&D purposes. Onizuka is his partner."
"And Goushima?"
"He's the head of security of the ISS. Word out there is that he sustained major injuries while being a mercenary in the Middle East with some anti-ISIL groups before he decided to retire in Japan."
"I'm assuming that he agreed to join the ISS because they helped him out."
"To what extent, we're in the dark. That's where you come in."
"Oh joy..."
"Cheer up. Chief Kato will provide the details when you get to your destination. Good luck agent Marc Lu."
"Understood. Heading out."
Marc walked towards the parked white HiAce Commuter van.
Somewhere near outskirts of ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
The HiAce Commuter parked a block away from the ISS entrance. Marc urged the driver to park in a spot where he can get a good view of the compound, but the guards stationed outside can't see them for worries that they can treat the vehicle as suspicious.
<"Incoming at your 9 o'clock."> The driver spoke to Marc.
Immediately, he turned his head to his left. He saw a couple of male persons about to enter. One of them was also an East Asian man, but he appeared to be in his early 50s. The other person was a Caucasian in a similar age range as Marc, even has brown hair in a crewcut.
"Hey Tyler." Marc greeted the Caucasian man. "How are things back in Dublin?"
"Not bad." Tyler replied when he got in, makings sure the Protect Gear armored vest was secured on his chest. "Relatives are asking how thing are back in Vancouver after we got back from you know where?"
Marc nodded.
"You remember him?" Tyler pointed to the East Asian man, who sported a black leather jacket and tactical pants/boots with three lightning stripes in the center.
"Oh yeah, Mafuba." Marc nodded and greeted Mafuba. <"How are you?">
<"I'm good."> Mafuba replied in Japanese before he switched to English (with a bit of an accent). "I suppose we need to get down to business."
"Agree."
The driver handed the trio a black plastic cylindrical poster tube with a sling.
"This should have our map with the plans of the ISS." Tyler took the tube from the driver.
"How reliable is the mole?" Marc raised the question.
The tube's cover was opened; Tyler got the rolled up map to take a look at the layout. "Ah. Looks pretty good. Should be current..."
Terrestrial Counter-Alien, Demon and Magic Response (TCADMR) Headquarters
Mark Burke was notified to head to TCADMR's command center since they have a situation developing in Coral Harbor. He was met with by an intelligence analyst from the Intelligence Division, who waited outside to meet him.
"Good to see you on time, sir."
"I understand that the CHPB wants the heads of those responsible for assassinating the officers and taking the corpse of the murder victim a few blocks from Palm Plaza."
"Yes, sir." The analyst used his electronic tablet to show him images of the dead officers with blankets covering their bodies, followed by the parked CHPB Ford Taurus heavily shot full of bullet holes that it was rendered inoperable.
"Looks like they went out of their way to make sure they're not being chased." The ex-Go-Busters officer sighed. "Anything caught by cameras?"
"Afraid not." The analyst led him to the command center. "CHPB informed us that the cameras were all disabled in the vicinity."
"Then we have nothing to go on."
"We're still trying to track down the Ford Transit van that other cameras have caught outside the crime scene."
"Good man. But we're still on a dead end..."
"Not quite."
Annrietta Birkin entered the command center. "We're about to secure some footage shot by a civilian who just happened to stumble into the area."
"I can hardly wait to see it." Mark said with sarcasm in his tone. "Courtesy of the CHPB I assume?"
Annrietta nodded. "We're about to play it."
The main screen showed the video showed from a smartphone. It showed the one of the gray men firing a suppressed MP7A2 at the CHPB officers in the crime scene. The video also showed a glimpse of the masked man turning around after gunfire seized.
Mark frowned after he saw the familiar balaclava and black diagonal stripe. "I don't believe it..."
"Sir?" The analyst asked him.
"They're Cutmen." Mark said when he pointed at the screen. "They're armed goons employed by Egos many years ago during the Cold War."
"You mean that secret society that supposedly tried to manipulate events dating from the 1900s?"
Yoko Kato asked the question when she entered the command center.
"Yes." Mark nodded. "I suppose you may be familiar with them, considering that your career back in EAGLE?"
Yoko nodded in response. "Not to mention that Egos was infamous for killing one of the Battle Fever agents in action during an anti-terrorist operation back in the '80s. They have much more infamy in the underworld than the Zolders and Crimers."
"Whoever's linked to the ISS and the killings at Coral Harbor," The analyst briefed Yoko and Mark. "they may have some ties to the rumored sightings of ex-Gorgom members Omiya and Sakata. After all, their INTERPOL Red Notice is still active."
Mark pondered on the analyst's explanation before he asked, "Is the team activated?"
"They have been for the past few days." Yoko replied. "Three of them are in Japan right now to investigate the ISS. I can delegate the others to the investigation of whether these two men are linked to the Cutmen as soon as I can contact them."
"Do that. Since they've got the body, we have no idea on what kind of hanky panky things they want to do with it."
"Not a problem." Yoko pulled Annrietta aside and instructed her to get the information to the other team members who can be in Coral Harbor at short notice.
Somewhere near Collins Industries HQ, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
In the early morning hours, TCADMR made arrangements with the CHPB that the blocks near Collins Industries should be cordoned off by its Tactical Response Team (TRT). But instead of the TRT leading the raid, they need to hang back and let them handle it.
They also requested that the public should be kept back. No ifs or buts.
The chief of police agreed to the request. Even though said official had personal misgivings, he was persuaded to do so by Commander Shaw of the Go-Busters' North American division.
Several gray Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans were parked on both sides of the street, already cleared of parked vehicles since parking's not allowed from 11 PM to 7 AM.
The van's rear doors opened simultaneously, as if on command.
The occupants emerged out, armed and ready. They consist of (a mix of) armed Silver Guardian contractors and ZECTroopers, already equipped with the Machinegun Blade.
Unlike the ZECTroopers, the SG contractors are equipped with gray G3-based combat shirt/pants and plate carriers worn over their chests. They donned Ops-Core FAST SF tactical ballistic helmets and Oakley ballistic goggles with their faces covered in black balaclavas. For weapons, they are seen using suppressed Barrett REC7 SBRs configured for select fire mode in black finish. Red dot scopes are attached on the upper receiver.
After the SG contractors disembarked from one (out of several) of the parked Sprinters, two male persons stepped out. One was of Pacific Islander origin. The other person was of (at first glance) of Caucasian origin with light brown hair.
The two men were dressed differently. While the former had a gray hoodie jacket worn over from the head and white athletic sneakers, the latter wore a sports windbreaker (in white and gray) jacket and dark blue high top sneakers; he also wore a black plate carrier vest over his windbreaker.
"Better get that." The man wearing the windbreaker said when he heard his Iphone 11's ringtone. He saw that the call was from CLASSIFIED.
"We're here." The call was placed on speaker.
"I see that you and Doug made it." The voice came from Annrietta.
"No worries. Looks like it's almost the crack of dawn. Police were very helpful to make sure the area's clear of civilians anyway since we're in the downtown area."
"All right. You two need to work with the ZECTroopers and the contractors to raid the last known location of the Cutmen who killed the CHPB officers guarding the crime scene a few hours ago."
"Not to object," Doug said. "but what does a bunch of armed mooks from an old so-called secret society want with the corpse of an EMC employee?"
Yoko was now on the line. "I believe that I can answer the concerns you and Ralph have. The EMC employee was identified as Vic Saito. He's a former ISS employee who resigned to work with the EMC."
Doug saw that there was a prompt on his smartphone that an encrypted message was seen. He opened and saw the official EMC profile of Saito, taken as of a year ago.
"What kind of links are we talking about here?" Ralph asked.
"We only know that he has concerns regarding some of the contracts the ISS had lately, including a project being managed by geneticist Daimon Kazamatsuri."
"This just keeps getting better and better."
"For now, your objectives is to raid the place. Be sure to secure anything relevant to the ISS or with Mr. Saito and his employment with the EMC."
"Understood."
"Be on standby. We're coordinating the raid with the others in Japan."
As the armed contractors moved in on the suspicious building, Ralph got a driver-type device and placed it on his waist. The device automatically extended the waistband to wrap itself around his waist.
For Doug, a rectangular-like belt clip holder was seen on the right side of his waist. It was apparently holding (also) a rectangular device on it. Unlike Ralph, he's armed with a SSS P-72 Recon carbine rifle and a holstered Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 pistol.
Both men wore radio earpieces and were about to wear black tac gloves with hard knuckles.
Somewhere near outskirts of ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc, Tyler and Mafuba were instructed to wait until the team in Coral Harbor is in place. Like Doug and Ralph, they wore the same black tac gloves.
TCADMR has called for simultaneous raids on the ISS and a suspected hideout in CH being used by Cutmen after they raided a crime scene. The three were did not know the reason why the Cutmen wanted the corpse of an assassinated EMC employee.
"I have a feeling that they just want to dispose of anything incriminating." Tyler mentioned, giving his thoughts on the situation.
"Would be nice to know if there's anything that indicate Saito did fight whoever tried to assault him or something." Marc gave his thoughts on the matter.
Marc and Tyler's smartphone rang up and the caller ID mentioned an unknown number.
"YES?" Tyler responded.
"K here." The K was in reference to Yoko and her position as TCADMR's head of its Counter-Terrorism Division. "We're waiting for the others to be in position..."
The trio heard some sounds of something exploding and loud tearing that came from the direction of the ISS.
"I think we need to scratch that." Marc said. "Someone or something's starting a party down there."
Mafuba was already putting on his motorbike helmet (with visor) that the same lightning stripes as his jacket. Tyler wore his Protect Gear helmet, but left the visor up.
"Standby. You guys need to sync up with the CH team."
Somewhere near Collins Industries HQ, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
The SG contractors were told to stack up with their weapons ready on the entrance of a recently closed five-story building.
"We're ready to go..." Ralph spoke when he was told to be on standby since something was happening.
"What now?" Doug asked Ralph.
Ralph simply shrugged. Doug did tell the contractors to hold first. The ZECTroopers were also told the same thing.
"There's been a series of explosions reported at the ISS in Japan." Yoko came back on the line. "B's going to be on the line."
"It's B. Very sorry guys. I think we'll have to launch the raid now." The B was in reference to Annrietta, also to her position as head of the Intelligence Division.
"But we could possibly loose the element of surprise." Doug protested on the order.
"I'm sorry, but command has decided that this is the best option. We're intercepting comms from the ISS trying to alert someone from the target location in Coral Harbor."
"Understood. But no promises."
With a solid confirmation given by Annrietta (Yoko would back her up, but the two don't have time for ring her up and ask for a second opinion), Doug and Ralph gave hand signals for the SG contractors/ZECTroopers to breach the front and alley entrance in unison.
Command Center, TCADMR Headquarters
Annrietta and Yoko observed the screens to show maps and security feeds taken from security cameras in the ISS and the blocks near Collins Industries HQ and the security cameras that were inside the five-story building. According to initial recon, the cameras in said building were brand new and recently installed.
"Give the order to breach." Yoko gave her orders.
"All teams!" One of the analysts radioed the teams in Japan and in the US. "Order's a go!"
Somewhere near outskirts of ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
"Understood. Bravo Team out."
Marc acknowledged the order as he, Tyler and Mafuba exited the parked HiAce.
The two TCADMR agents were armed with matching gray plate carriers over their chest and black balaclavas to conceal their faces. They were armed with suppressed black Robinson Armament XCR-L Mid assault rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO. The upper receivers had red dot scopes with back up front and rear iron sights. A vertical foregrip was also installed for stability when the rifle is fired.
On their drop leg holsters were Canik TP9 SF Mod. 2 pistols in black finish.
"Let's go."
Marc took the lead; Tyler followed behind and Mafuba secured the rear as they began to infiltrate the outskirts of the ISS. They approached the closed front gate, which was done as a security precaution due to reports of explosions and gunfire. They used the loud explosions as a distraction while no one was paying attention to head to the bushes before ISS security forces would run to the three-way intersection and start to put portable barriers to seal off the road. It also included a sign that said the following in Japanese and English.
THE ISS IS CLOSED TO VISITORS DUE TO AN ONGOING SECURITY EXERCISE EXCEPT FOR EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS. ANY AND ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE CANCELLED FOR TODAY.
PLEASE FOLLOW GUIDANCE FROM LOCAL AUTHORITIES. DO NOT BE ALARMED IF YOU HEAR LOUD EXPLOSIONS OR SOUNDS OF GUNFIRE.
"Damn. Had to hop over the concrete flower bed just to get to the bushes. Such a pain." Marc grumbled after he crouched.
"Be lucky we were not spotted." Mafuba reminded his colleague.
Tyler examined the area after he crouched and motioned the others to head to the bushes near the front gate. He noted that instead of the institute's own uniformed security forces, they were protected by Guardian security robots dressed in blue BDUs with black plate carriers.
Unknown persons dressed in militarized MammothRanger suits (or for those who knew of a similar team in North America, the black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger) were also seen armed with a weapon that seemed to be a hybrid of an axe and a rifle. They were also clad in black plate carriers.
The Guardians were armed with Heckler & Koch HK417A2 battle rifles outfitted with 16.5" barrels and SIG Sauer P229 pistols in duty belt holsters.
"They're pretty armed." Tyler sarcastically said when he examined the Guardians while peeking from a tree trunk. "And the uniformed goons already pulled back."
"We have to worry about the militarized Ranger suits near the front gate. Perhaps we should target them first when you guys henshin." Mafuba gave a suggestion.
Marc and Tyler looked at each other.
"You think it's a good idea?" Tyler asked.
Marc slowly nodded. "I guess so."
"Let's wait for a pattern and see if they diverge..."
Inside deserted building, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
"Acknowledged. Alpha Team out."
The SG contractors stormed the building through the front door while the ZECTroopers stormed the place through the alley entrance.
"Clear!"
"Clear!"
Doug and Ralph entered the building and looked around, the former with his P-72 carbine shouldered. A Surefire-made vertical foregrip with taclight was attached for stability and to ensure quick access to a light source.
"No one's here..." Ralph looked around. "Place is bare. Only has a reception desk and even that's bare too."
"Maybe." Doug said when he looked around. "We need to search the area."
Ralph gave the order for the teams to go upstairs via staircase since the elevators aren't working. Some of the others are to stay on the ground floor and secure it; they also were told to check if there's any access to the basement areas.
"Alpha to tactical," Ralph called it in. "we're starting to secure the building. No one seems to be here."
"Understood." A reply came back. "Blueprints indicates that there are two basement floors."
"For parking?"
"Yes. We have a report from a building inspector who said that he spotted suspicious persons doing construction work and claimed that they were approved."
"We'll check it out."
"Looks like the analysts were spot on." Doug said after a SG contractor spoke to him about an escalator that goes to the basement.
"Yeah. Seems we'll have to walk down the escalators." Ralph sighed after he stretched his arms.
"Hopefully the guys in Japan have a better lead than us..."
Near ISS Entrance Gate, Eastern Area, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
The trio counted around four Guardian robots and three persons in militarized MammothRanger (or Black MMPR) suits. So far, the three guarding the front gate were on static duty.
It was the Guardians that were in rotating patrols. Two Guardians do a rotating patrol on the roundabout/driveway that led to the gate. The other two did a patrol going down from the driveway to the direction of the roads leading to and from Futo and Tokyo. The latter's patrol pattern was programmed so that they're not easily seen by the public; this meant that the second patrol used the bushes and (some) trees to conceal their presence before going to the sidewalk leading to the three-way intersection.
"Looks like the Guardians are away from the front gate." Marc said. "We better pick them off now."
"Say no more." Mafuba gripped the tsuka of his ninjato, saya strapped on his back.
Unlike his previous weapon, which was a black bokken-type weapon with a retractable blade at the tip, the ninjato was made as a high-frequency weapon. This meant that he can easily deflect conventional-based projectiles. He has a holstered pistol on his SOB (Small of Black) holster at the back of his waist. In this case, it's a Glock 21 pistol. His double barreled laser shotgun pistol is on a drop leg holster, strapped on his right leg.
"Beginning operation." Marc radioed back to TCADMR HQ.
Tyler shouldered his XCR-L Mid. He then opened fire on the Guardian robots that were farther from the gate through headshots.
"What the?" One of the armed guards in the militarized MammothRanger suits was taken by surprise by Mafuba dashing towards his direction.
"HAH!" Mafuba slashed the barrel of the axe rifle. He then drew out his laser shotgun pistol and fired it at the guard's chest twice at close range.
The other guard raised his axe rifle halfway. But before the weapon could be fired, Mafuba used his HF ninjato to cut the other axe rifle's barrel.
"Damn it!"
"Nice one!" Tyler shouted as he continued to shoot the two Guardians at the back of their heads. "Oh damn, they're coming."
"I got the other Guardians." Marc went up from the bushes to support Tyler; he fired his own suppressed XCR-L Mid at the other two Guardians further away from the front gate.
Before the other guard could try to react, Mafuba followed up his initial attack by shooting said person with his laser shotgun pistol.
"Looks like no one's paying attention to the action here." Tyler said after Marc gave a thumbs up to indicate the front gate is clear after gunning down the other two Guardians. The guards and the Guardians were taken down.
"Probably going to assume that whatever is happening here is a part of ISS security drills." Mafuba said after he holstered his shotgun pistol, but kept the grip on his ninjato tight.
Marc moved back and made a run for the guardhouse.
"Okay. Opening the gate."
Mafuba checked the guard's bodies and took one of the radio extenders placed in a plate carrier pouch.
<"Looks like the Mastodon Sentry armor does okay against conventional small arms."> Mafuba eyed the dead guards while he heard the radio chatter in Japanese. <"But it seems that whatever the intruders are packing do damage the armor and kill the wearer.">
<"You mean explosives?"> Mafuba heard the concerns raised by someone on the line.
<"Yeah. Or something similar. Whoever gave them to the security director probably wanted to see how they can hold up in a scenario like this.">
<"Well as long as we're alive most of the time, I ain't going to complain.">
"Apparently the guard are using some kind of armor based on the MammothRanger known as the Mastodon Sentry." Mafuba spoke to Tyler after Marc got the front gate opened, which moved to the right.
"Well we can't contemplate on that. Let's go." Tyler told Mafuba. "But I bet intelligence will love to look at that."
Marc came out of the guardhouse and crouched near it just in case they're spotted by hostiles. So far, so good.
He signaled to Tyler and Mafuba to immediately make a sprint towards the main building.
Basement 4 Parking Lot, Deserted Building, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
Doug and Ralph went down the fourth (and final) basement parking lot of the deserted building. They spent an hour or so clearing the previous three floors, although they have the SG contractors and ZECTroopers to assist in the search efforts, so their workload was reduced.
The parking lot was also well-lit.
"As expected of a deserted building, no vehicles around here." Ralph remarked when he got out of the door that led to the building's emergency stairs.
"No, wait..." Doug motioned to him that he spotted a couple of parked white 2015 Ram ProMaster 1500 vans. "A couple of vans."
"Maybe someone's here." Ralph could swear that he's hearing some kind of drilling sounds.
From the rear, Doug motioned the contractors and ZECTroopers to move out slowly and cover both side of the parking lot. He and Ralph slowly approached the parked vans at the rear end of the lot facing the stairs.
It was only when they were made the approach to the vans that an unknown number of armed persons in gray sneaking suits opened fire with their MP7A2s, using the vehicles for cover.
"Shit! Take cover!" One of the ZECTroopers shouted after hearing gunfire.
The SG contractors later joined in the firefight, providing assistance to their ZECTrooper counterparts. Both forces used whatever parked vehicle was available in the area.
The two TCADMR agents were forced to duck down; they used a parked white 2018 Ford Expedition SUV for cover.
"Those guys look damn familiar..." Ralph said while keeping his head down. "Alpha to Command! Alpha to Command! Our investigation is stalled for the moment! We're under attack!"
"Any cameras in the area?" Annrietta asked.
"I don't think they're working."
"It's K. Anything you saw from the attackers?"
Ralph peaked out from under the SUV since the gunfire wasn't going for him. Yet. "They're clad in some kind of gray sneaking suit. They got some kind of black diagonal stripe on it."
"Figures. They're Cutmen. Formerly under the command of Egos."
"Wait..." Doug was alarmed to hear the name. "You mean that secret criminal society from the Cold War? I thought they're taken down..."
"Well, apparently not. I'm sure K know more about them since she served in the military during the Cold War."
"Permission to engage?" Ralph asked on the transmission.
"I just came in the command center. And J gave the okay to engage." Yoko replied to Ralph's request.
"Thanks a lot, K." At least we got a competent 2IC.
"It's B. The others upstairs are securing the rest. We'll provide support to keep any bystanders away. Take down the Cutmen and see what they're doing."
"Understood, B."
"You heard the ladies." Doug said, feeling frustrated that he can't do something (yet) with the Cutmen conducting suppressive fire.
"I know." Ralph replied. He gestured to the contractors (via hand signals) to get smoke grenades out.
Doug went for his belt clip with his right hand. Got it.
Ralph gripped a card (from somewhere) before he placed it over his driver. Obviously using my Ganbaride Driver while prone isn't a good option.
Several smoke grenades were tossed towards the Cutmen. They detonated, obscuring their vision with gray smoke.
"Let's go..." Doug moved out from underneath the Ford Expedition. Ralph joined him likewise.
"EMERGENCY! DEKARANGER!" Doug shouted after he grabbed the device from his belt clip and pressed the gray button on top. Siren sounds were heard before Doug was dressed in a familiar Deka suit in orange. "SWAT MODE ON!"
"GANBARIDE!" The Ganbaride Driver shouted after Ralph inserted a card in the middle of the driver. "CHANGE!"
Ralph waited for his rider suit to form up over his entire body. When it was done, he's seen in a green and red rider suit.
Doug finished his transformation, decked in his Dekasuit and body and leg armor before he shouted, "FACE ON!"
His face was later covered by the helmet, equipped with a headset. He's seen later with a D-Revolver.
Outskirts of Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc, Tyler and Mafuba eventually arrived at the outskirts of the main building after what it seemed to be an hour of running from the front gate, running across the covered walkway. They entered the lobby through the main doors, seeing no ISS guards inside.
"Strange, we got no guards inside." Tyler looked around the area and noted that the lobby looked something of a five-star hotel. The lobby consisted of a long staircase going up the upper floors with a Greco-Roman bronze fountain, already constructed in a circular formation surrounded by stone pillars.
If it was anything else, you'd think you were in a hotel or resort located in the outskirts of a major city.
Marc looked around for himself to see if the coast is clear. We got the long staircase going up? Wonder if the main building has a separate place for stair or elevator access to the basement levels?
"None at all." Mafuba looked worried. "I do not like this. Even if the institute's security forces are being confronted with a major emergency."
"We got company and they're not here to say hello."
The trio are confronted by a number of Mastodon Sentries. They were surrounded from all sides.
"It seems that you guys took advantage of what's been happening outside."
A grotesque-looking being walked towards the agents in a confident stride.
"Greeting heroes. I hope these Mastodon Sentries are able to keep you company."
The being looked like a humanoid-like chameleon who showed up as if it was previously invisible, like a regular chameleon. What shocked them was that the being had the emblem of a very familiar terrorist group.
A terrorist group that was first known from the Cold War to use cyberized humans for criminal and terrorist activities. These activities have been recorded to also involve false flag operations against the West/East blocs in the history of counter-terrorism.
"Shocker..." Marc gritted his teeth, glaring at the bipedal monster when he saw the emblem had the image of an eagle. "Shit... it's Shinigami Chameleon."
"What's wrong?" The monster known as Shinigami Chameleon taunted. "Cat got your tongue or something?!"
"Shocker's taken out by the Riders." Tyler aimed his XCR-L Mid at the monster. "Unless this one's revived by neo-fascists..."
Shinigami Chameleon shook his head while the Mastodon Sentries aimed their axe rifles at the trio. "I'm hurt that you think that I'm for supporting the Nazis."
The trio looked at the monster, as if wondering if it has a standard it lives up to.
"We're learning to move on with the times and not be stuck in the past. For instance, our group's motto is "If You Want To Be Happy, Be"."
The TCADMR agents could only stare at Shinigami Chameleon, wondering if it said something unusual or different than from other criminals/terrorists/aliens they've investigated/faced before.
"As if a change of motto's going to stop us!" Marc challenged the monster after he aimed his assault rifle at his head.
"Least I tried to be nice." Shinigami Chameleon sighed and shrugged its shoulders in a sarcastic tone. "All right guys. Kill these flies before they get in the way."
"Small arms won't hold against them!" Mafuba shouted.
The Mastodon Sentries aimed their Axe Rifles at the trio.
"On second thought, it may best if we do that..." Marc said while he gripped the Morphin Brace strapped on his left wrist. He turned the dial wheel on the device and selected henshin mode before he pressed the button.
"Good idea." Tyler got his Ganbaride Driver (from somewhere. No one noticed) and placed it on his waist.
"IT"S MORPHIN TIME!"
Since Tyler was already in his blue Crye-cut combat shirt and pants, he flipped down the visor of his helmet after he donned it with his chest armor. They appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Tyler then drew out his sidearm, the BW-01 Dictator.
A few minutes later, Marc was dressed in a familiar Go-Busters suit in Orange.
"LET'S MORPHIN!" Marc shouted after he pressed the button on his brace to equip the shades on his helmet.
"Che!" Shinigami Chameleon is now getting pissed. "Get them!"
Somewhere in Foredge Park, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
A bluish teleportation portal appeared in the park's forest. Out of the portal showed a Japanese man in his 40s, who was seen wearing a green windbreaker jacket, black pants and white and blue sneakers.
<"Time to me to head into Coral Harbor."> The man murmured in Japanese. He checked his Morphin Brace to see that it's working and ready to go.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"
"LET'S MORPHIN!"
The man changed forms, starting to wear his Go-Busters suit in Green.

Notes:
So this is where we start with the story.
And also the start of the action in the two routes.
Also trying to explore non-Japanese/American-made sentai stuff like those that are from Southeast Asia (Sport Ranger, for starters, looks interesting) and China (Looking at Battle Strike Team) for starters. Not sure if English subs are out there.
One thing though, I'll get some details on Ganbarider wrong, only 'cause the manga version is long gone and I have to rely on game vids/CMs to figure out how the Ganbaride Driver worked. He appears to fight like Decade last I remember.
Chapter Text
Chapter 1: Dual Operations
Outskirts of Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
"Get them!"
Shinigami Chameleon shouted.
Marc, Tyler and Mafuba got themselves ready the moment the Mastodon Sentries shouldered their axe rifles.
"Go!"
The trio got ready to move out and take on the sentries.
"TRANSPORT!"
Marc pressed the GB emblem on the device strapped on his right shoulder. A few minutes later, a pair of digital binoculars appeared on his hands before he changed it to a bladed weapon, known in Go-Busters as the Sougan Blade.
Mafuba drew out his dual-barreled shotgun pistol and fired it twice to take out a couple of the Mastodon Sentries. The shells were loaded with anti-armor properties just for taking out any armor that's not made on Earth. "Looks like that worked."
Two Mastodon Sentries moved to close the gap with Tyler. This forced him to holster his sidearm. Instead, the Irish Blue SWAT officer opted to disarm the closest sentry to grab the axe rifle.
io-Engineered Tyler grabbed the axe rifle and used it to open fire, twice for each sentry. One at the chest and one for the head.
As for Marc... well he decided to charge in with the SB.
"ORYAHHH!"
He went to attack the Mastodon Sentries. Bright yellow sparks were seen when the SB made contact with their armored suits.
The Shocker monster, seeing the dwindling sentries, went for the next best thing by fleeing and cutting his losses. While fleeing, he turned himself invisible.
"It's getting away!" Tyler was about to use the axe rifle when Marc placed a hand on the axe rifle's barrel.
"We can come back to Shinigami Chameleon later. Right now, the hostages in the ISS Building come first."
Mafuba used one of the dropped axe rifles to double tap any other downed sentries Tyler didn't get to. "Let's move in before we have too much to handle with these guys."
Ground Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Once the trio were inside, they had to contend with armed ISS guards after they drew out their Smith & Wesson Model 19 revolvers.
They were subsequently dealt with through kicks, punches, arm twists, head butts with one shoulder throw used in the mix.
"I can think of a few charges for these guys." Marc said after he flexed his hands. "And they include violations of the Swords and Firearms Possession Control Law."
"Let's search these guys. Hopefully they got something useful aside from their revolvers." Tyler went to check their pockets. He was able to obtain keycards.
Mafuba picked up a radio extender and listened in to determine if anything useful was being mentioned by ISS security forces.
"Hey guys." Mafuba showed off the radio extender.
"We got unknowns trying to breach the rest of the compound. Those who have access to the sentry suits, reinforce the inner perimeter. We got those Shade guys helping out. Get some of the guys to the detention area and move the doctor and the nurse."
"Likely the CIA's trying to raid the place. Intelligence did mention that they got an interest with this place." Marc surmised, based on the radio chatter. "Better go and find the doctor and the nurse."
"Right."
The trio went for the nearby staircase, which led to the basement floors. Tyler handed Marc and Mafuba ISS keycards just in case.
Command Center, TCADMR Headquarters
Annrietta monitored what was going on in both Japan and in the US.
Yoko and Mark were not present as they were currently in meetings with representatives from the SPD and the Galactic Union Police with the commander in tow.
There was word that the SPD and GUP were asking on whether they can offer support to TCADMR in relation to the ongoing operations.
For now, the commander said that she will consider it.
"Looks like the CIA's trying to punch through ISS' defenses." The analyst showed a satellite view of the ISS compound. It showed the compound's eastern part, which had a road leading to and from Futo. It also showed most of the main building was located near the middle with a small portion of it located at the eastern part.
The western part of the compound has some signs of an assault going on, mostly with some signs of burned vehicle remains.
"Have they made progress?" Annrietta threw in the question.
"A little bit. According to chatter from their security forces, they got armored suits with them. Not to mention the ex-Shade soldiers backing them up."
"What about their supersoldiers?"
"We only got reports that they're deployed. But we're not sure on what extent on whether it's from some of the secret projects the ISS has been doing or from the kidnapped victims."
"What about things in the US?"
"They've just given the all-clear when they cleared the suspicious building."
Basement 4 Parking Lot, Deserted Building, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
Doug just gave the all-clear after he used his D-Revolver to gun down the last Cutman.
"All right guys! Secure the area!"
The SG contractors and ZECTroopers mobilized to secure the ramp and the emergency staircase. A few moved up to meet with Doug and Ralph.
"Looks like these guys just wrecked a wall that sealed up a tunnel." One of the ZECTroopers said when he looked around to see the ground that was between the gravel and the rock and dirt from the tunnel. "Wall was cemented recently."
"Lights are working." One of the SG contractors used a tactical torchlight taken from one of his pouches. "Although it's just enough to ensure that the tunnel has some light that someone can walk across."
To illustrate it, he used the light to focus on the the light fixtures mounted on the wall that had pull switches attached.
"Appears to be very long too." Ralph sighed, being frustrated at where this is going. "Do we check it out?"
"We're here. We just secured the suspicious building in Coral Harbor." Doug responded to an incoming transmission from TCADMR HQ. "You mean it, K?"
Ralph and the others waited.
"All right, all right. I'm just gonna warn you and B that we have no goddamn idea on how long this tunnel is. It's basically something outta the cartel playbook..."
Doug went to speak to a SG contractor about getting something for tracking their location. The contractor mentioned to check his SP License.
"Fine, fine." Doug went to remove his SP License from his vest and flip the cover open to access phone mode. From there, he went to check a new update that says tracking mode can be used. "Okay, I got it. Tell N I said my thanks."
Doug went to return the SPD License after he flipped the cover again to close and return it to the vest holder.
"Listen. HQ said that we're getting help to find out what the hell's happening in Coral Harbor and whether it relates to the slain EMC employee intelligence picked up on. Same goes with whether it's related to the red notices issued for Omiya and Sakata a few yearas ago. Tokyo would like to nail their butts. And it seems like the other guys in Japan are getting their hands full, so we can't get help from their side."
"I'll go with ya." Ralph told the SPD officer. "But we'll need to have some company in case we get jumped on while we navigate the tunnel."
"Agreed. K told me to use the tracker on my SP License so that HQ can try to triangulate our locations as soon as they can."
"And what about the backup we're getting? Any ideas??"
"Search me to be honest. I ain't sure. But..."
Somewhere in Foredge Park, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
"I remember hearing from the other guys that he's from Japan. But otherwise, he's been living abroad for some time prior to joining the Go-Busters. Even heard that he tried to back up the Blue SWAT unit at various time when their undercover bases were targeted worldwide a year ago or two..."
A man in a green Go-Busters suit was seen running through the forests in Foredge Park. No one was around in the early hours of the morning.
Unless a jogger or some other person who'd happen to exercise in the outdoor would see him.
Or maybe a uniformed CHPB officer on routine patrol.
Doesn't matter. He was given orders to scout the park and move in as soon as he can get a signal from his comrades. The word given is that they're investigating a tunnel they just uncovered and a tracking beacon was used to relay their location for a meet up.
HQ mentioned that the tracker used has a faint signal, but they said that it's last reported to be here. See if I can use the Transpod...
"Come in Atsushi. Are you able to locate the others?" His issued Transpod, strapped on his left shoulder, received an incoming signal.
"That's a negative." Atsushi replied in English. "It looks like it's just me."
"Roger that. We're receiving reports unknown hostiles are showing up in the park. Could be related to the operation."
"Understood."
Atsushi began to scan the forest for signs of trouble.
Any kind of trouble.
That is... until he encountered a couple of uniformed CHPB officers approach him out of the blue. It was as if they knew he was there.
"Sir, we need to see your ID." One of the officers, who has Pacific Islander features, asked Atsushi.
"I'm working with the city government." Atsushi snarked at him. "Go radio your supervisor."
"We're not going to ask you again." The Japanese Go-Buster agent saw the the other officer, an African-American, placed his hand on his duty belt. Specifically, on top of his holtered sidearm.
"Are you that dense or are you not aware that I'm with the EMC?"
"We are. And it just so happens that you're in the way, Go-Buster. You're in our way of taking over this planet."
Atsushi became very warm of the last statement. Strange. Law enforcement in the city should know of the EMC and to an extent, TCADMR.
"There's only one group that I'm suspicious of that wants to secretly take over Earth..." Atsushi said when he cracked his knuckles. "And you guys happen to be the f*king body snatchers from the Space Mafia."
"How perceptive of you, human. This means that we can't let you get out of the park alive."
Since the Space Mafia takes over human bodies, I can't kill the hosts. Means I got to disarm and hurt them enough that the aliens will call it quits.
When the two officers drew out their Glock 17s, Atsushi dodged left and right by doing a combination of combat rolls and ducking behind tree trunks for cover/protection.
Damn it. Not sure how much I can weave behind the trees.
"Hey you two! That's not how someone from the law's suppose to act!"
Someone executed jumping kicks at the backs of the possessed officers.
Who did that?
"Good thing I made it in time. You alright there, Go-Buster?"
Atsushi saw that the person who came in to back him up was an American man with brown hair in an Ivy League-type haircut.
"Ryan Mitchell. Didn't expect you of all people to get recruited to TCADMR."
"Long story," Ryan shrugged his shoulders. "we can talk about that later. But I've been told that something's boiling in Coral Harbor aside from hearing reports of the Space Mafia."
"Agreed. We need to take care of these aliens."
"I heard of some aliens who can body snatch like those investigated by the Dekarangers, but it's my first rodeo that an alien group's doing this."
"Right now, we need to look for their weakness by making them leave their bodies."
"I'll do this then."
Ryan showed the Titanium Morpher he wore over his left wrist after he raised his arm. He placed his left arm down in a clenched fist with his right hand positioned over his left wrist.
"Titanium Power!"
Ryan raised his left arm before he positioned it towards his chest. He then pressed a button below the "V". It moved up with the morpher flickering light for a bit before he raised his arms up.
A few minutes later, Ryan was now outfitted in his silver suit.
After what seemed to be a few minutes of Atsushi and Ryan facing against the uniformed officers by disarming them of their pistols, the two men saw images of red balls with white flagella around it, followed by white flashes. Warping sounds and spooky winds were heard with the slight tremors. They also had to cover their ears due to the deafening sound.
Atsushi and Ryan saw two aliens emerge from the officer's bodies. They dropped down to the ground, unconscious.
"Looks like they revealed themselves." Ryan said while he got to a fighting pose.
"One of them a Bona-type and the other's a Leto-type with arm launchers." Atsushi noted on the aliens that emerged from the officers.
The two aliens raised their arm launchers at Atsushi and Ryan.
Invade End
Tunnel, somewhere in Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
The decision was made.
Doug and Ralph made the choice to investigate and clear the tunnel of any stragglers (if any). They were accompanied by four to five SG contractors and ZECTroopers to cover the front and rear of the group.
"Damn man, this tunnel's long."
"Feels like I'm walking forever."
The SPD officer was heard the complaints from some of the contractors and ZECTroopers. He couldn't blame them.
Doug concentrated his frustrations on checking whether TCADMR is able to pick up on their exact location.
"How much longer?" Ralph asked him. His legs were starting to give out. Even while in the Rider suit, it was only a matter of time before the wearer would feel the effects of what was the equivalent of walking through one city.
"Not sure." Doug admitted. Even he was feeling the pinch of needing to stop somewhere. He went to check his SP License to see if there was a signal for HQ to track his location.
So far, so good I guess.
Putting the SP License away, he then saw that there was some benches strategically positioned in the tunnel.
Probably the tunnel was recently made and whoever made them put these here as a temporary measure.
"Okay guess. We take five!" Doug directed the others to the benches.
"This is like what... the fourth time we've seen them." Ralph was relieved to sit down.
"I think so." Doug sat down as well, being happy to at least take a break. "Man, I hate this dumb ass tunnel is so long that we could lose valuable time in tracking down whoever's behind this."
Doug noted that his SP License was getting an incoming call.
"Hold on." Doug quickly got the device and answered it. "Yes?"
"Alright." Doug waved to Ralph to come see him. "Yes? Yes, I understand."
After the call, Doug spoke to Ralph. "Looks like we got two friendlies positioned nearby."
"Where?"
"I'm told that our location is in the area of Foredge Park. And our buddies up on top are in a fight. And TCADMR satellites are still picking my SP License, which means we're getting near the end of the tunnel."
"Guess that means we gather up the guys, help them out and figure out who's been using this tunnel?"
"Right."
Ralph began to call the SG contractors and ZECTroopers to move out ASAP as they need to get through the tunnel; he told them that the end of the tunnel is almost near.
"All right guys! Let's go!"
Somewhere in Foredge Park, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
Atsushi and Ryan spent the next few minutes evading the missiles fired from the Bona and Leto aliens after they emerged from the CHPB officers.
"Titanium Laser" Ryan shouted when he fired at the arm launcher of the Leto, destroying it before he did the same with the Bona's arm launcher.
"We need to do something about these aliens." Atsushi said after he got his hands on a reflex camera that was converted into a gun.
"I remember hearing from those Blue SWAT guys that these aliens got a weak point." Ryan pointed out after he brandished the TL, from axe mode to gun mode. "We don't have any portable scanners that we can use, though."
"Let's see if there's something..."
Before Atsushi could speak, they saw the two aliens come in with their clawed hand. They jumped towards them and slashed their chest, resulting in having yellow sparks erupt from the claw strikes.
"Crap!" Ryan felt that strike, forcing him to kneel momentarily
"Let's finish them off!" Atsushi immediately raised his gun after he was also forced to kneel for a few seconds. "Have a taste of the Ichigan Buster!"
The IB was fired at the Leto, seemingly killing it when yellow light erupted from its chest. There was a brief flash of yellow (or orange, he wasn't sure) light that swirled around before it exploded.
As for the Bona, it was about to make another jump attack when it was shot at from the back.
"What the?!" Ryan shouted after he changed the TL to axe mode. He then swung the axe to cut the Bona's head off before the alien could fall down on the ground. "Who shot it?"
Ryan jumped out of the way when the same yellow light erupted from the Bona's head and chest before the same brief flash of yellow (Ryan was sure it's orange-like) light that swirled around. The corpse eventually exploded.
"Friendlies! Don't shoot!"
Atsushi and Ryan were quickly to get their weapons ready, with Ryan changing the TL to gun mode.
It turns out that it was Doug and Ralph, the latter armed with his Ganba Blaster. The others fell behind in order to secure their exit from the tunnel and later on, the surrounding area. The group found out that the tunnel was used to travel between the downtown core and the outskirts of the city.
Doug got his SP License from his SWAT vest and flipped it open to show the SPD insignia.
"Glad to see reinforcements." Ryan greeted the two after the two aliens were killed.
"Where'd you guys come from?" Atsushi asked after his IB was recalled back by EMC.
"There's a tunnel back there." Ralph said, when he pointed to the opening nearby. "It's kept hidden by a bunch of trees and greenery."
Atsushi walked to the area where Ralph pointed it out; he checked it and saw that the trees and the greenery mostly concealed the path and entrance to the tunnel. At first glance, it would appear to be blended in the forest.
"I assume you guys were in an operation in Coral Harbor?" Ryan asked Doug and Ralph.
Doug nodded. "Yeah, that's right. It's in relation to the ongoing op in Japan."
"I assume that you guys are hunting for specific people?"
"Yep. My theory is that this tunnel does lead to some places nearby."
"I remember hearing that an airport is near here. Not sure though."
"You're correct. But we'll have to make contact with HQ on what's going to happen next."
Doug made the decision to contact HQ and tell them of their current location. He was later told to fall back and have the area secured ASAP for now. When the question of the CHPB, he was told that B would make preparations for cover stories.
Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc took the lead in going down the basement, followed by Tyler and Mafuba. The trio saw more steps going down that led to a steel bar door that led to the ISS' basement offices.
Marc whipped out one of the ISS keycards and placed it on top of a wall-mounted keycard reader. The reader's red light changed to green, meaning that it worked.
"Time to move." Marc motioned to the other two as he held the door open for them to pass through.
"Clear."
"Clear."
Tyler and Mafuba drew out their sidearms after they entered through the door.
"A good place for an ambush." Tyler said when he pulled the slide of his Dictator to conduct a brass check.
"Offices are clear." Mafuba checked one of the offices for signs of human (or creature) life. "No one's inside."
The trio continued to look around. There was no signs of any other ISS guard. The only thing that was working aside from the lights on the wall and ceiling was the red emergency sirens mounted on top of the ceiling. The latter was turned on, although no emergency sounds were heard.
"Looks like the guards are called out to hold back the bigger fish." Tyler remarked when he led the group down the corridor. He stared at the left side of the corridor to see a map. "Okay, we got an area in the floor that's allocated for holding cells and a morgue."
"Right." Marc replied. "We need to be careful of the morgue though."
As they continued to walk down the corridor, they could hear loud and suspicious noises. From the map Tyler checked, they were coming from the morgue.
"Guys, I'm hearing suspicious noises." Tyler warned his group. "And they're getting very loud by the minute."
"Judging from the map," Mafuba told them. "it's coming from the morgue."
"As cliché as it would be, we need to check the place out in order to rule it out." Marc sighed. "Let's move. Maybe we can find clues in there."
It was a good thing he didn't hear Tyler's frustrations.
Morgue, Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Tyler kicked the door down to the morgue after he checked the door knob. The lights were off.
"I'll go get the lights." Marc opened the light switch to the morgue. The lights were turned on.
"Looks clear." Mafuba looked around the morgue. There's a couple of autopsy tables that have a couple of body bags that were zipped up. Aside from three medicine cabinets, a few garbage cans, multiple individual mortuary storage cabinets and a couple of embalming sinks, it was quiet.
Pretty quiet.
"A couple of body bags." Tyler eyed them with suspicion with his Dictator aimed at them. "Signs of a horror movie slash TV show."
Marc and Mafuba didn't bother to object.
After they came in, they could hear the loud banging.
It was coming from the storage cabinets.
Marc got his SB ready, just in case.
The loud bangs continued until one of the storage cabinet doors were violently kicked that it flew over Marc's head. The smashed door was embedded on the wall.
"What the hell's that?" Tyler aimed his Dictator... at a four-armed grasshopper type creature that emerged out of the cabinet. It roared loud enough that they could hear it before it thumped its chest. The creature had white eyes.
More loud bangs were heard from the other storage cabinets.
"Time for action!" Marc gripped the Sougan Blade in a reverse grip.
"ORHA!" Mafuba drew out his ninjato. He went for the grasshopper creature by hacking the arms off.
Tyler immediately fired his Dictator at the creature, riddling its chest with 9mm bullets.
Marc delivered the coup de grâce after the creature went down on its knees by stabbing its head with the SB. He drove the blade deep to the head until it ceased moving.
"One down..." Marc saw four more of those creatures emerge out of the cabinets. "Four more to go..."
Commander's Office, TCADMR Headquarters
Aya Odagiri felt tired. And she just got into TCADMR's HQ building.
For the past few hours, the ex-JASDF officer had to go back and forth with several meetings with various VIPs from the UN Security Council to political leaders in Japan and the US.
The meetings in Tokyo and Washington DC through phone calls were tedious as they wondered if TCADMR can resolve the situation taking place in both countries, being concerned with some of the potential threats. The commander had to reassure them that the unit can deal with the threats it's facing.
Probably breaking the rule to make promises, but at least I did try to tell them that we'll do what we can...
Knocks at the door broke her line of thinking.
"Enter."
"Excuse me, commander."
A TCADMR soldier, dressed in Multicam camo, saluted after he walked inside.
"I'm told by R&D that you're going to have this checked out personally."
"Yes, I will." Aya took a small gift box from the soldier after she stood up from her seat. "Thank you very much."
"Commander." The soldier saluted.
Aya did the same in response.
After the soldier left, Aya opened the box to see what was inside.
Looks like I have to commend R&D for their work.
It was similar to the Cross Changer issued to the Jetman team back in the 1990s when the Vyram were considerd a global security threat.
Except that it didn't come with the communicator. Back in her days as the team commander, Aya saw to it that the two items were issued.
As she was about to pick up the phone handle from the IP desktop telephone, it rang.
Aya picked up the call after she saw on the caller ID that Angela Rawlings was on the line.
"Good day, Ms. Rawlings. I just picked up the Cross Changer sent to my office."
"Thank you, commander. There's one thing I have to mention on the Cross Changer."
"I'm listening."
"Unlike the other Cross Changers that were issued to Skyforce, this one was made without the need of Birdonic energy."
She hasn't heard that term for a while now. Using a Cross Changer with no Birdonic energy? I guess it's possible with the advent of new emerging technology.
"Mr. Mercer has called for some tests. So far, the device works in terms of functionality. But we haven't reached the point of having it used to see if someone can change a suited form."
"I understand. Does he want to ask for someone who can volunteer?"
"I believe so. I'm not sure if he'll call you later."
"All right. I shall have a look and see if anyone can volunteer."
"Thank you very much, commander."
Aya placed the handset down to the desktop handset, she pressed the speaker button.
"Yes, commander?"
"Good afternoon, major. Can you prepare a list of all known personnel from the SOU?"
"I can e-mail it to you as soon as I can."
"Thank you."
Western Area, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
At the western side of the ISS compound, which wasn't directly facing the city, another battle is being fought there.
ISS security forces have been mobilized to halt the intrusion and drive them off the compound as soon as possible, using small arms with the occasional grenade and rocket launcher. From the radio chatter, it was suggested that a foreign country was interested in stomping them out due to some of their activities being conducted behind closed doors.
On the other side, several armed fireteams were presently engaging ISS guards. They were clad in various clothing and tac gear, including balaclavas; they're armed with various assault rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO ammo with serial numbers taken out.
"Looks like they're getting the powered armor out." One of the armed men grumbled when he saw four Mastodon Sentries being deployed. His team was seen taking cover behind several parked vehicles.
"We need to break off." The man turned around, hearing the voice from a woman. "It looks like our mole paid off with the info on the powered armor the ISS received from an unknown source. Which means they plan to stonewall us."
"But we don't know if the ISS has got those genetically engineered soldiers deployed somewhere else."
The woman sighed, understanding the man's concern. "It's not like the SAC didn't just decide to come here unprepared."
"What are you talking about?" The masked man peaked out of cover to fire his suppressed Heckler & Koch HK416 assault rifle, outfitted with a vertical foregrip, red dot scope and 14.5" barrel.
"She's talkin' about me, pal. I'm the backup you guys in the Special Operations Group will be seeing for a while."
"You're Gun Gibson. The combat android produced by Neo-Guild."
"Ah shucks. I'm touched, but I ain't with them anymore. I got some free time for a bit since the bad guys I'm after are staying quiet."
He found out that he was talking to a gray gunslinger-type combat android with black, green, red and yellow colors on his armor, complete with a red circle on the chest. It was seen wielding a hybrid tomahawk/laser rifle; it was currently configured in rifle mode.
"Good to see you Gun Gibson." The woman greeted the android.
"Same to you, Ms. Fukamichi." Gun Gibson greeted the Japanese-American woman. "I was told that I'd be working with someone from the CIA's Special Activities Center, but I didn't recall being told of female personnel assigned as Paramilitary Operations Officers."
"Sarah would do." Sarah grinned while she fired her suppressed HK416 assault rifle from cover. "And no worries, you'd be surprised if you stick long enough and work with us."
"They're bringing out the big guns now." The male SOG operator saw the Mastodon Sentries preparing to fire their axe rifles.
"Alrighty. My buddies at TCADMR told me about these guys." GG shouldered his rifle and aimed at the chest of one of the Mastodon Sentries. "Time I field test the GGR-1993C Carol."
With that, the android opened fire at the first Mastodon Sentry he can land his sights on. "I hear rumors that their armor may be advanced thanks to some guy from another world, so let's see if she can punch through."
Morgue, Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc, Tyler and Mafuba faced off against the four grasshopper creatures.
"How do we split the work?" Tyler asked while aiming the Dictator at the nearest creature.
"Dunno. Guess we just kill 'em as fast as we can before something else happened." Marc twirled his SB.
Mafuba decided not to wait; he made the first move by jumping up close to one of them and fired his shotgun pistol at its head, blowing it up.
"Next." Marc hurled the SB to the second creature. The blade landed on its chest; Marc rushed in to get the SB and used it to stab the creature multiple times.
Tyler made quick shots with the Dictator. However, they seemed to be moving fast that their clawed hands struck his chest armor a few times.
"Damn it!" The Irish BS officer groaned. He went to change strategies by waiting for one of them to try and claw his head. When he did so, he dodged out the way in time before using the Dictator to shoot the third one on the left temple a few times.
The fourth one clung to the ceiling, using it as a sort of area to hang back.
"This one's pretty smart." Mafuba said when he made a reload.
"It is." Marc sarcastically agreed, until he ran underneath it and hacked its legs. "Or not!"
"Got ya covered!" Tyler stepped in and fired a couple of shots from his pistol, ending the creature.
"Nice job." Mafuba holstered his weapon.
But as the trio went to see if anything useful can be found, one of wounded creature raised an arm, gasping for air.
And then. It said...
"Help... me. And the others."
They heard it speak with a male voice, seemingly from someone who's in his 40s.
Somewhere in TCADMR Headquarters
Doug, Ralph, Ryan and Atsushi went back to TCADMR HQ after they were extracted out of Coral Harbor through the unit's own portal system.
They all changed back to civilian forms as they were checked by ZECTroopers in order to make sure that nothing suspicious came through the portal. Afterwards, they were escorted by a lone ZECTrooper who told them that someone from the chain of command would see them.
The four were told that K would come around in one of the briefing rooms that would be commandered for them on a temporary basis. In addition, G would only be available to speak to them later on, depending on whether she's going to be held up in a few more meetings.
"Looks like we'll have to head back to Coral Harbor sooner or later and continue with the investigation on the death of a EMC employee who made contact with the ISS." Ryan sighed as he walked.
"We got no choice. I'm sure the analysts are on it checking the significant areas near the tunnel we just came out." Ralph shrugged his shoulders.
"This is killing me." Doug was frustrated that they had to withdraw from the city. "We're gonna be delayed that the bad guys are having a leg up."
"Speaking of which, where is the chief?" Atsushi asked out loud, his hands in the pockets of his green leather jacket.
"I guess I'm here just in time."
"Chief." Ralph was shocked to see her. "We were told that you could be a bit delayed."
"Not anymore." Yoko shook her head. "I'm free now. Considering the op that we're suppose to do in Coral Harbor... It's best if we go over what we know so far and a couple of things intelligence has picked up."
She later showed them to the briefing room that they're using. But before Yoko entered...
A female TCADMR intelligence analyst, who is of African-American descent with her black hair in a ponytail, showed up and called for her attention.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, chief. He just contacted us a while ago. Said that he's checking out a fresh lead that could be related to Coral Harbor."
"All right. Let him know that he needs to check out the lead based on the intel we have so far."
"Understood."
Somewhere in Lighthouse Park, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
"This could be either a boring or awesome gig that I've done as a PI after moving to Vancouver."
An East Asian man in his mid 30s was seen conducting surveillance on a meeting being conducted in Lighthouse Park, wearing a black hoodie and leather fingerless. The area is far away from the urban areas in Vancouver, but near residential areas in West Vancouver.
It was a good thing that it's early in the morning. Not a lot of people would go to the park, except for those who want to exercise at the time.
The man was keeping an eye on a couple of persons speaking somewhere near the lighthouse. Nearby was a hidden camera, placed on a tripod and hidden from public view with camouflage netting. It was seen shooting the meeting after it was previously turned on.
One of them wore shades and a cap. The other was in a windbreaker & hoodie-type jacket talking to him. His back was facing the camera.
Checking his smartphone, he eyed an image of the person who is IDed as Goushima according to an e-mail he received from an anonymous address. The person he's speaking to was identified to be an EMC employee. His name was not revealed, which frustrated the man to no end, wondering why he wasn't given that information except that the man who's supposedly dead (He heard about it in the news) is a Caucasian man. Though from the last time he checked, Goushima is not seen in Coral Harbor today.
Going back to check the image, he saw there was one more person in it.
Who is this?
Using his fingers on the smartphone screen to enlarge the image, the man saw someone stood nearby wore shades and a red toque to conceal his face. And it seemed that he's the one doing the talking.
If I only knew who the guy is.
An incoming SMS message was sent in. Good thing that no noise was made as the smartphone was set on silent mode.
Got some backup. Could be friends of yours. Not sure if they're coming.
A reply was sent.
How long? And do I know them?
Another reply.
Said that you'll know them.
Breaking his focus from his smartphone, he saw that the two men were about to conclude their meeting.
Damn. Gotta break loose.
"Pardon me," The man emerged out from hiding in the trees. "but your friend is involved with something that's happening in Coral Harbor and I'm here to talk to him."
"The police?" The other man in the hoodie panicked.
"He's just a private eye." The shades-wearing man boasted. "He has no powers of arrest."
"No. But it doesn't mean that I can't bring a world of hurt to you."
"Like to see you try." It seemed that he was reaching for the shades. However, he took off his jacket, pants and shoes...
A disguise.
The man raised his fists into a fighting stance when he saw who the person actually is.
Turns out that the he is a she. "Unless I'm mistaken, you're Miratrix. The pageboy haircut, the dual tantos, your multicolored vest and black dress. No one dresses up like you."
"It seems that I'm well-known in this part of the world."
"But I distinctively remember that you were trapped in a jewel after your master claimed you messed up too much."
"It's a long story. But I won't take the time to tell the story." The tantos were raised.
"Figures."
Before Miratrix could charge in for the attack, the man did a jump to the highest tree branch he can find.
He shouted "REKKU!" after he placed his clenched fists below his chest and on the sides of his waist.
It followed by extending his arms out, hand wide open to show his palms. After that, he extended his arms to the left and right. Moving his arms in a counter-clockwise motion before stopping halfway, he extended his arms out left and right in angled directions. Both times, a loud whip-like noise was heard.
Finally, his left arm was raised up in a flexing position while his right arm was placed above his waist, albeit in a flexing position.
A metallic humming sound was then heard, before the man was briefly showed in a brief flash of light.
"Gakuen Toku..." The man in the armor shouted before he stopped himself after he used his right arm to punch on his left. Oh crap. Almost forgot that I'm not investigating school crimes anymore. "Uchuu Keiji..."
"Hikaruon." His left arm was raised up in a clenched fist in front of his right temple before he (for the nth time) extended his arms to his side. The black piece on his helmet showed a red stylized H and an inverted stylized Y. His helmet shone yellow on where his eyes would be. The mouth area was covered with a gray plate.
Miratrix could see that his armor was in black, red and silver. Various flashing lights were seen on his chest and arms.
"Whatever scheme you're cooking up," Hikaruon pointed at her. "it ends here."
"Come get me, space sheriff." Miratrix boasted.
"TOH!" Hikaruon jumped from the tree branch to do a jump kick at Miratrix.
"Tch." Miratrix was frustrated after she blocked the kick, using her strength to protect her, although she moved a few meters back despite putting her feet down to literally not move from the spot. "It's about time I called in reinforcements."
Hikaruon noticed various persons emerged out from the various trees near the lighthouse. They appear to have humanoid forms, but are in camouflage-colored tights that covered their bodies, including their faces.
"He's yours, Madaramen." Miratrix said after most of the Madaramen wielded combat knives with a few using carbines began to engage Hikaruon.
Within a few minutes, the space sheriff made short work of the Madaramen. But it wasn't an issue for Miratrix. For now, she used it to flee.
Forests somewhere near Lighthouse Park, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
"Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap."
The hooded man ran away from the fight, away from the lighthouse and into the nearby forest to seek shelter and hopefully get out of the park.
"I didn't know that the guy was a woman." The man murmured. "What the hell's going on?"
"Pardon me..."
The man was shocked when he heard someone confront him. He tried to run, but his right arm was instantly grabbed. He was then shoved to the nearest tree. A hand was placed at the back of his head to make sure the man would look at the tree trunk only.
"You're not going anywhere."
"Ms. Azumi, is Hikaru in the area up ahead?"
"Yes. The last time I spoke to Shihodo, he said that he's scoping out a person of interest."
"All right. Thanks."
The brown-haired woman with long hair decided to twist the hooded man's arm just to make him talk.
"Okay. I'm going to start asking questions. And I want an answer. You understand?"
The man nodded.
"Glad you understand. Because if you don't..."
Azumi started to twist the man's arm slow in order to make him feel excruciating pain.
"Okay, okay! I got it!"
"For now, I'll start. Why were you meeting that person in the forest?"
"I don't know."
Azumi didn't like the answer; so she twisted the right arm.
"Ow, ow, ow! I swear, the person was asking me about the EMC. Didn't go to a lot of details."
"You mean the Energy Management Center?"
"Y-yeah."
"So I assume you're leaking confidential details on the center?"
"N-no. He was only asking about some person who works in the EMC's Coral Harbor office."
"You got a name?"
"I... I can't remember..."
Azumi sighed. "Perhaps I ought to jog your memory..."
"W-wait! Wait! Okay, I remember now."
"I'm waiting..."
"The name's..."
Briefing Room, TCADMR Headquarters
"Apologies for the wait." Yoko spoke to the assembled rangers. "I just had an update regarding the Coral Harbor case."
"What about it?" Ryan asked her.
Yoko showed a colored photo of an EMC guard's headshot. He had blond hair in a crew cut and in black EMC uniform. "Apparently the dead EMC employee is working in the security services division. Name's Chris Morgan."
"So why are the bad guys after him?"
"Apparently... the guy's in debt. Intelligence is digging around, but they suspect that it's something related to his vices. No specifics yet."
"Not surprised that whoever's masterminding this was able to get a hold of him." Doug sighed.
"Is it safe to assume that Chris got something classified from EMC?" Atsushi asked the important question.
"I contacted EMC. From what I heard, he got suspended due to allegations that he's sneaking out classified information on the security mechanisms used in both EMC compounds in Coral Harbor and Machida."
"So what happened to him?"
Yoko showed a photo that was taken by the CHPB. It showed a body that was covered with a blanket.
"Apparently he was killed outside a roadside cafe. It seemed that he was poisoned. By who though... intelligence is still looking. The theory is whoever's bankrolling the attacks today."
"Is there anything that we need to do?" Ralph asked.
"Not sure." Yoko replied. "But we asked the CHPB to tighten up their security in case whoever targeted Chris would try to look for anything he got from the EMC. Some of their officers guarding the crime scene were killed by Cutmen."
"I guess this mean that if the CHPB got anything off Chris, then the big bad's going to find a way to secure the things taken from Chris' body."
"So what now?" Doug asked Yoko. "Do we get back in the field?"
Outside CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
"We're keeping an eye on things in the city in case something suspicious is happening. You guys are on standby until intelligence something significant. This also includes the CHPB stations near the crime scene."
The CHPB's Palm Plaza Station was one of the few stations in the city that was designed to emphasize on neighborhood safety. Given that the bureau wants to keep improving its image, having the Palm Plaza Station redesigned in such a manner that easily allows officers located there to interact with the community instead of having a hardened appearance in the past when policing was a bit different.
A man in his late 30s, with Caucasian features and light brown hair, was seen walking out of the station. He was in a gray suit with a dark blue necktie. His brown Oxford shoes stepped out of the station and into the concrete sidewalk.
The man was carrying a clear plastic bag that has a sealed tape with CHPB markings on it. The bag has a sticker placed on it that says EVIDENCE.
"Hello, Detective Edmond. I was wondering when you were coming." A man in a black suit poked his head out of the front passenger window of a dark blue 2015 Ford Fusion sedan. He wore generic black shades.
"Here. I got what your boss was asking for." The detective handed the bag.
"Let me have a look." The man took the bag and asked for a knife. He got a butterfly knife and used it to open the sealed bag before he examined the wallet. "Ah perfect. It looks like you're making my day."
"I've done what you asked. I just wanna leave while I'm still good."
The man didn't reply as he was busy checking the wallet. It had Chris' EMC ID card, some cash and a credit card issued by the Bank of America. It also had some business cards issued by the EMC to his name.
"Ohh..." There was some folded pieces of paper written on it. On it was an address with a specific number. It says key.
The man further checked the wallet to see that there was a key in the built-in coin pouch. "This'll do nicely."
Commander's Office, TCADMR Headquarters
"Ma'am!" An analyst called for Annrietta's attention. "There's an incoming alert issued by the CHPB."
"What about it?"
"Evidence related to the death of Chris Morgan and the EMC's been taken from the Palm Plaza Station's evidence room."
"Is anyone ready to go?"
"Chief Kato is briefing the others who just came back from an earlier op in the city."
"Let her know that something's going on. I have a bad feeling something messy's about to happen."
"Understood."
"If they need transport, inform anyone who can spare them a vehicle."
CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
"Now that we're all done, you said that you wanted out if I'm not mistaken?"
The detective didn't say anything. But around four uniformed officers, two male and two female, from the CHPB ran out of the station, dressed in long sleeve dark blue shirt/pants/CHPB police caps and black shoes. They have their duty belts and body-worn cameras mounted on their chest.
"Detective Edmond Snyder!" One of the uniformed officers shouted. "You need to return the evidence you checked out from the evidence locker."
The man saw that they were approaching the detective slowly.
"We're not going to repeat ourselves! You need to return the evidence related to the murder case and turn yourself in or we will arrest you for evidence tampering."
"My, my... We are in a pickle..." The shades-wearing man stepped out of the Fusion.
Also stepping out of the Fusion were three Cutmen, all armed with suppressed and (red dot) scoped Heckler & Koch MP7A2s. They opened fire on the three officers before they fully raised their fourth gen Glock 17 pistols.
Snyder was kept on the spot by one of the Cutmen who aimed his MP7A2 at him, who later seized his holstered fourth gen Glock 21 pistol. Unlike the issued Glock 17s, officers in plainclothes and specialist units are allowed to choose a pistol that either is chambered in 9x19 or .45 ACP.
"What the?" The fourth officer raised her Glock 17 after getting it from her duty holster.
"A trivial thing." The shades-wearing man tossed his shades away. After he did so, his body began to change.
"A monster..."
The officer opened fire at a praying mantis-based creature.
"Don't mess with this mantis!" The Mantis charged in at the female officer, using its pincer claws to slash her in the chest twice.
"Your f*ckin scheme's over!"
"Who said that?!" The Mantis shouted after it killed the officer.
Morgue, Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
"Hey." Tyler kneeled down next to the downed creature after the team heard it talk. "Hey! Can you talk?"
"I... I'll try..."
Good. Looks like it can talk. Ain't hostile. "Can you tell us what happened?"
"I... can't remember much. I recall being placed in a vehicle after I fainted... can't remember after that."
"Probably started when he got kidnapped like the others." Marc said, not liking the implications. "Sh*t. This means that there's many more down here and we may stumble onto more of these creatures."
Mafuba agreed. "At this point, I don't think we can save them."
"Please..." The creature spoke. "Please... put me out of my misery."
The trio sighed. They understood at this point, there's no going back for most people who've been converted into biological or cyborg-type monsters. Only the bad guys had questionable tech that they can use to allow anyone who's converted into a monster to change back to human form, as long as they give their life to the mysterious organization of the day or if they've been heavily brainwashed.
Tyler drew out his Dictator. "I'll go do it. You guys can see if the path up ahead is clear."
"Yeah. Got it." Marc motioned to Mafuba to go with him and secure the corridor and consult the map mounted on the nearby wall.
The Dictator was aimed at the wounded creature. Aiming it at the head, he fired a single 9mm bullet.
"What the hell is this thing?"
Tyler looked around the morgue for anything useful. He checked a clipboard with printouts regarding a familiar creature.
The title of the paper was
CYBORG SOLDIER LEVEL 3
Outside CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
When the Mantis turned around, it saw Doug show up. Ralph, Ryan and Atsushi later showed up in the street after they were teleported in.
Meanwhile, the civilians began to panic and flee. More officers tried to engage the Mantis, but the Cutmen outside fired first. One of them took the detective as a human shield.
"Okay, bug! I'd say it's about time you're squished." Doug shouted.
"Oh... I've heard about you, Dekaranger. But you're the one who's gonna be squished."
"We'll see about that."
The four-man team began to pose to change to their ranger/rider forms after getting their respective devices out.
"EMERGENCY! DEKARANGER!"
"FACE ON!"
"Titanium Power!"
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"
"LET'S MORPHIN!"
"GANBARIDE! CHANGE!"
After they changed forms, they began to do their after henshin poses.
"Deka Orange!"
"Titanium Ranger!"
"Green Buster!"
"Ganbarider!"
"Looks I need to get more help." Mantis sighed. "Madaramen!"
Several Madaramen, armed with knives and carbines, came running towards the group from seemingly out of nowhere.
"Okay! Let's go!" Doug shouted after he got his helmet. "Time for a D-Rod!"
"All right!" Ryan shouted back. "Me and Atsushi will take on the Mantis. Need someone to get the hostage."
"Leave it to me!" Doug made a jump towards the Cutman.
Ralph moved in to the other Cutmen, disarming them first of their weapon before using roundhouse kicks and shoulder throws to take them out.
"Get a taste of this." The Mantis went to a fighting pose that is meant for those trained to fight in Northern Praying Mantis. It stood low to the ground, with outstretched forearms and extended pincers acting as the hands. It went for the offensive, using quick strikes with the pincers before using various kicks.
"Looks like it knows Praying Mantis." Ryan said when he raised his fists while dodging the pincers.
"Don't know if that's creepy or awesome." Atsushi snarked when he glared at the creature, avoiding the kicks meant for him.
Doug approached the Cutman with Detective Snyder as his human form.
"Back off, Dekaranger!" The Cutman warned. "Or this dirty cop gets it!"

Notes:
Sort of working on the "end boss" for the ISS and Coral Harbor arcs, but I know that one of them is from Shin Kamen Rider (ISS) and perhaps a couple from a mix of Go-Busters/Beast Morphers.
Not sure on how/when I can resolve it. Hopefully by the next chapter or so.

Chapter 2: The Missions
Outside CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
With Ryan in his Titanium Ranger suit and Atsushi in his Green Hippopotamus suit, the duo got into fighting stances against Praying Mantis.
"Looks like this beast knows Northern Praying Mantis." Atsushi muttered.
"Question is what kind of style it knows." Ryan said.
The Mantis moved forward, shifting its weight as if it was going to throw the first attack from either the left or right, slightly bobbing as if it was a boxer.
When it got close to Ryan, the creature moved to the right that Ryan threw a few punches. However, the Mantis executed a Reverse Mandarin Duck Kick to kick him on his right leg. This was followed by dodging a punch from Atsushi, which was countered by using an Axe Blade Kick on his right leg. Punches to the gut were made several times.
"Gotta admit it's good." Ryan gripped when he jumped a few feet back to get away from the Mantis.
"It knows Toro-ken quite well." Atsushi said when he countered a couple of punches from it.
"What's the matter? Mantis got your tongue?" The Mantis taunted.
"Not original and not funny." Atsushi snarked.
While Atsushi and Ryan taking on the Mantis, Doug and Ralph faced off against the Cutman who was using Snyder as a hostage. He was using his fourth generation Glock 17 and it was aimed at the corrupt cop's chin.
"Don't come any closer or this dirty cop gets it!" The Cutman pressed the Glock on the man's chin.
"Sure. We could care less if a dirty cop dies." Doug said without any hesitation in his voice.
"Yeah. We're not in the business of saving them." Ralph also chimed in, shrugging his shoulders.
The Cutman was confused by what's going on.
"Go on. You wanna shoot him? By all means, do it."
"You mind letting us a go at it while you have that Glock with ya?"
The Cutman was getting more and more confused by the rhetoric he was hearing.
"I'm not having of this bullsh*t!" The Cutman shouted. "Back off or he dies!"
Doug and Ralph didn't budge from his threats. Instead, they continued on to taunt him about daring him to shoot Snyder.
The Cutman kept shouting back that he failed to notice the two TCADMR agents already at arm's length.
"Go!" Ralph shouted.
Doug immediately grabbed the Cutman by the right arm and twisted it hard to make him release his pistol. Ralph followed it up with a roundhouse kick to his face.
"Holy sh*t!" Snyder immediately ducked down after Doug took down the Cutman.
"He's down!" Ralph told Doug after seeing the Cutman taken out.
"Thank god you guys were in the area." The CHPB detective thanked Doug and Ralph for saving his life, feeling content to sit down on the sidewalk. "I would've been a real goner."
"Save it, buster." Doug glared at Snyder, even when in his Dekasuit. "We're not here to save your ass. We're here for another reason."
Damn it... Snyder realized his days were numbered.
"Detective Edmond Snyder." Ralph walked up to the detective. "We have the right to hold you in detention."
"W-wait a second!" Snyder protested. "There's a logical explanation for all of this..."
"Oh yeah, I'm sure." Doug gave a sarcastic reply. "I'm sure that we can't wait for that explanation."
A few minutes later, Ralph waved to approaching uniformed CHPB officers. Doug has the man restrained and on his knees; his left arm was on Snyder's left shoulder while the man's right was in an arm twist.
"Looks like you're gonna have to answer a few things..."
Outside CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
The Mantis kept up its guard as it exchanged blows with Ryan and Atsushi.
If one would see the fighting as a first glance, you'd swear that the Mantis was some kind of martial artist.
Or not. It kinda depends.
"Hope we gave the guys time to get to that guy." Atsushi said.
"Yeah. I know." Ryan replied. "But I think it's time we did pest clean up."
"What the hell are you two talking about?!" The Mantis glared at the TCADMR agents.
Ryan and Atsushi didn't say anything.
However, they armed themselves with their personal weapons.
"Titanium Laser!"
"TRANSPORT!"
Ryan wielded his handheld pistol, which had the trappings of a battle axe with its part changed to make it look like a pistol.
Atsushi secured a pair of binocular after it materialized in front of him. He grabbed it and changed it to the Sougan Blade.
"As if changing forms is going to stop me!" The Mantis shouted as it got to a fighting pose.
Atsushi and Ryan didn't bother to offer it a response. They jumped in simultaneously to get close and hack it in the chest a few times.
Somewhere in Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc, Tyler and Mafuba continued to search and clear the compound's basement floor after they wiped out the grasshopper-based Cyborg Soldiers in the morgue.
It was another thing that the trio needed to worry about.
Not that they mind fighting them; it's just that they need to be alert as they can easily swarm together if they're not careful. That's just about as dangerous as they can face in the mission, next to ISS' own security forces (and whoever supplied those militarized MammothRanger/Black MMPR Ranger suits), Guardian bots and a monster from Shocker's monster ranks.
"Those bio-engineered grasshoppers are something we gotta worry about." Tyler sighed when he moved to search a small office nearby.
"Yeah. And that tops the ISS's own security goons and whoever's supplying them with the latest gear that would make them like a first world military would change the course of battle." Marc said in agreement.
Mafuba gestured to the other two. "Over here..."
They were now looking at a map of the basement. The left side of it showed the staircase that they used to go down. They already passed the morgue and a few offices that are used by ISS scientists for normal office work. The right of the map showed the prison cells, likely used by ISS security to detain troublemakers from within and any trespassers before the latter are handed off to the police.
Another area that's near the morgue is the operating room.
"I guess we got an idea on where to go next." Marc pointed to the operating room.
"Good move. Considering that the cells are nearby." Tyler nodded.
"Let's go." Mafuba said.
They slowly moved towards the OR, knowing what awaits them.
"Sitrep, Bravo Team." The transmission came from Annrietta.
"This is Bravo Two, B." Tyler replied, using the built-in comms in his BS helmet. "We've just encountered something within the ISS."
"Any specifics?"
"Yeah. They look like mutant bipedal grasshopper creatures with multiple arms. Looks like their codename's Cyborg Soldier Level 3."
"Level 3?"
"May be a reference to something, I'm not sure."
"Copy. See if you or the others can take anything related to it after the operation's complete. If not, we'll get someone to take them during the sweep before the CIA takes them."
"Understood."
"Looks like we could get extra work." Marc sighed. "Hopefully someone can help us since our suits don't have pockets that can be accessible."
Forests somewhere near Lighthouse Park, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
The forests were now crawling with SG contractors, called in to control and cordon the area near the park after Azumi called it in.
Hikaru Shihodo, aka Hikaruon, waited for the contractors to declare the scene to be secured.
"Got away?"
Hikaru turned around to see Azumi, who brought along the hooded man. A SG contractor approached Azumi and told her that he'll take over. She thanked him for that.
"Yeah." He nodded. He saw that the man was in cuffs, arms behind his back. "She had help."
To point it out, he kicked the lifeless body of a Madaraman android soldier, which was hacked into several pieces.
"Well, we got this guy at least."
"Is that him?"
Hikaru and Azumi turned around. They saw another SG contractor show an Ipad with a mugshot of the man detained by Azumi.
"Ran the guy through facial rec and all. Turns out that he's with the EMC."
The screen showed that the man detained was IDed as Jake Hawkins, age 39. He's with EMC Coral Harbor for two years. His last position was at security, working with other EMC security personnel to maintain security protocols on what EMC employees should do in case of an emergency.
A photo showed him with Caucasian features, including blond hair.
"Damn." Hikaru said.
"Definitely. Looks like EMC's gonna have to double check their security measures." The contractor mused.
"Anything specific as to why someone's been trying to get him as their mole?"
"Likely to get a bigger fish to turn and be the mole."
"Hey!"
Hikaru and Azumi saw someone of Southeast Asian descent with black hair in a SG contractor loadout, but has some Caucasian features. He was masked, but had the balaclava in order to speak better. Before he approached Hikaru, he spoke to the SG contractor who spoke to him and Azumi.
"Eric Myers. Good to see a friendly face." Hikaru greeted the contractor and TimeFire ranger. He saw the other contractor get dismissed.
"Same here."
"I thought you were suppose to be in Japan?"
"Was in Japan." Eric corrected him. "I just came back in the weekend from joint training with my Japanese counterparts. But this was separate from the op against the ISS."
"I'll assume that it's a long story?"
Eric nodded.
"So what happens now?" Azumi asked Eric.
"HQ's going to go over this incident and perhaps check again after the ops in Futo and Coral Harbor are done."
"Wish we can go and help them out."
"Me too, but we got the message to be on standby and see if someone else is going to go after our friend from the EMC."
"At least we get some kind of break." Hikaru shrugged his shoulders.
"Pardon me." Eric told the duo when he grabbed his Iphone from a pouch on his web belt. "Looks like I'm receiving an incoming call."
"See you later."
"Yeah."
Prison Cells, Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
The trio approached the area that was filled with prison cells.
"What the hell? What happened to security?" Marc said when he looked around the corridor that traveled through.
"Probably called up to take on the other intruders." Mafuba spoke when he checked one of the empty cells for anything suspicious. "But we can't let our guard down."
"He's right." Tyler agreed. "They could pop up at any moment."
"Please don't jinx us, man."
"What? Just saying as it is."
The search continued as they searched every prison cell they pass by, stopping once to consult the pictures they were provided.
"The persons we're looking for could be in one of these cells." Mafuba said when he stopped to take a couple of photos from one of the pockets in his black leather jacket. The names Daimon Kazamatsuri and Ai Asuka were written at the back, written in both English and Japanese.
"What's happening?!"
After hearing a new voice in the area, the trio found an unused prison cell and opened the door to immediately get in and hide.
Tyler peeked out and saw a man in a white lab coat peering through the window on a door in one of the prison cells located at the far end, his hand on an intercom button. It appears that four ISS guards are seen nearby.
"We found one of the targets linked to the ISS." The Irish Blue SWAT officer whispered. "Japanese guy. White lab coat. Got security with him."
The Canadian Buster operative asked him. "I assume that it's the head honcho of the facility?"
A photo of Iwao Himuro was handed to Marc by Mafuba. The former showed it to Tyler.
"Yeah... That's him. Director Iwao Himuro."
"Nice."
Marc handed the photo back to Mafuba.
They could hear Himuro shout for a bit on what's happening at the prison cell he's facing. They could hear some shouts, but they can't make out the words that the prisoner was shouting.
Then they heard the director speak to the guard. "Open it."
One of the ISS guards took out a keycard from a pocket in his pants. He approached the keycard reader and placed the keycard in front of it. A slightly loud beeping sound was heard.
Before the trio can move in, sensing an opening, they saw Himuro open the cell door.
After that, a strong wind gale was heard from the cell. A few seconds later, Himuro and the four guards outside were blown away. This included the door getting ripped off its hinges.
"All right. Let's go." Marc said before he started to dash out. Tyler and Mafuba followed suit.

"Man, those Mastodon Sentries are tough... Good thing I got the Carol with me."
Gun Gibson whistled after he fired his GGR-1993C Carol, watching it tear through a crowd of armed hostiles equipped with militarized MammothRanger/Black MMPR Ranger suits.
"Looks like they're falling back." Sarah said when she watched some of the ISS guards toss various smoke grenades to cover their retreat.
"Thanks, baby." Gibson patted his tomahawk-laser rifle weapon after the SOG units began to regroup.
The robot noted an incoming transmission from a TCADMR frequency.
"This is K. Come in, G." Gibson heard the transmission from the built-in comms system in his body.
"G here. I thought B was suppose to be my main point of contact."
"B's attending to something right now related to Coral Harbor." Yoko replied. "She should've been here by now."
"Understood. I'm assuming that I'm being pulled out from supporting the CIA." Gibson raised the question.
"Yes. K's running a team infiltrating the ISS. She informed that you'll link up with them as soon as possible."
"Ohh... interesting."
"She should get back to you soon. For now, you need to find a way to get to Bravo Team."
"Gotcha. I got the data on who they are, so there's no need for a briefing."
"Go on then. K will be in touch."
Outside CHPB - Palm Plaza Station, Palm Plaza, Coral Harbor, California, United States of America
After what seemed to be minutes and minutes of back and forth between the Mantis and Ryan and Atsushi, the former began to move back after a slash attack greatly hurt him.
"Now if that bug can just stay squished." Atsushi grumbled after he called for the Sougan Blade from EMC HQ on his Transpod.
"Just try me!" The Mantis growled, being able to stand against slashes from Atsushi's attacks.
"Maybe try this!" Ryan raised his Titanium Laser, already in gun mode. He opened fire on the bug man several times, just to make it force to retreat.
"I'll get you next time!" The Mantis before it retreated to a nearby alley, covered by a couple of Madaramen. But as the creature escaped, Ryan gunned down the Madaramen.
"Damn. Got away..." Ryan sighed.
"At least it didn't kill a lot of people." Atsushi used his Transpod to send his weapon back.
Several uniformed CHPB officers responded to the aftermath; they began to set up a cordon around the outskirts of CHPB Palm Plaza Station. Minutes later, marked CHPB vehicles arrived to block the roads near it, siren lights on.
Doug and Ralph went to see the two after Snyder was handed over to other CHPB officers.
"The Mantis got away?" Ralph asked after he spoke to the CHPB officers who got a handcuffed Snyder.
"Yeah." Ryan nodded. "We'll need to regroup soon."
"Hopefully they can get some info from our corrupt detective and see if our mysterious enemy may have something to do with this."
Doug stretched his legs. "Guess it's time we head back since the situation in Coral Harbor seems to be under control."
Prison Cells, Basement Floor, Main Building, ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Marc peeked into the busted cell, seeing a man trying to held a woman in her 20s who seemed to be in pain.
<"Daigo Kazamatsuri-hakase?"> Marc asked. <"Asuka-san?">
<"Y...yes. I'm Kazamatsuri-hakase."> came the reply. <"This is Ai Asuka-san. She's a nurse who works with me in my clinic.">
<"Good to see you alive and well."> Marc motioned to Tyler and Mafuba to secure the area.
<"Who are you?">
<"We're friendlies. We were sent here to ensure you and Asuka-san are safe.">
<"Thank goodness.">
<"Uh.. Hakase, is something wrong with Asuka-san?"> Marc pointed to the woman on the bed, who appeared to be in pain.
<"Yes..."> Daigo sighed when he helped Ai sit up, despite feeling pain. <"She's pregnant...">
Marc was confused; he knew that a woman would typically be in pain, depending on the circumstances. But locking her up is another thing.
<"She's carrying my son's child.">
His son? It means that Daigo's son is Shin, ex-motocross racing biker who left to be a volunteer with the ISS.
<"Sir... does that mean...">
Daigo nodded. <"My son, Shin, is the father. They're in a relationship even after he agreed to ISS' offer to be involved in their project.">
<"We can talk more on the way. We need to get you out of here.">
"Yo." Marc called for Tyler. "Have a look around. We could expect trouble up ahead."
"Ahead of you." Tyler spoke to Mafuba to check the path they took to see if it's clear.
"Hoping we can meet up with a friendly." Mafuba said.
Somewhere in ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Gibson snuck off, but not before catching the attention of a SOG commando, who asked him why he was taking off.
Come on, my man. I was told that I'm only here to help you guys breach the cordon made by the ISS. With that done, I'm going in to find my teammates. Let's say that we got shared interests, but different ways to accomplish it, yeah?
"Well," The robot muttered. "not like I was going to help them out the whole way through anyway, since K mentioned it before after all."
Before Gibson can ponder more on what happened a while ago, a few Cyborg Soldier Level 3s showed up. They barged from the vents and the deserted offices.
"What the hell are these freaks?!" Gibson said out loud. "Looks like five of them showed up.
The robot got his Gunvolver, a revolver-based sidearm. "Guess this calls for a bug exterminator."
The Gunvolver was used to take out the mutants. After Gibson fired the loaded rounds with his right hand, he opted to immediately holster it. But before one of the Level 3s can grab Gibson, he used Carol in axe mode to smash its head.
"Man, ought to go for a headshot if I can next time." Gibson proceeded to use Carol to slash and smack the other Level 3s until they were permanently motionless.
"All right, clear..." Gibson was satisfied with his handiwork.
He noted an incoming transmission.
"Yeah? Yeah? Give me a sec..."
Gibson eyed for one of the slain Level 3 corpses nearby.
Command Center, TCADMR Headquarters
Yoko just returned to the command center, with Anton Mercer in tow, in order to discuss their situation. The latter was called in since she wanted to ask him on some thing regarding biotechnology.
"I actually didn't expect the ISS to go that far." The man said when he heard from Yoko regarding their black ops biotech experiments. "The last time I spoke to someone from the institute, they're one of the many research institutes studying potential cures for AIDS and various types of cancer."
"Were they known for doing this kind of research?" Yoko asked him.
Anton nodded. "Yes."
"Even with the recent change to their board of directors a few years ago?"
"Yes. But I must admit that for the ISS to go secretly into biotechnology, it's way beyond what they did before. But..."
"I assume that there is a catch?" Yoko raised the question to Anton.
"That's right. I think that is the case. I know of a doctor Iwao Himuro. He's a surgeon, but I remember hearing from medical journals that he's a major proponent of using biotechnology. And in some conferences, he sometimes mentioned that biotechnology will be in the future involving medicine."
"That makes sense."
"Is there something that I should know about?"
Yoko shook her head.
"Excuse me, ma'am." A TCADMR analyst called for Yoko's attention. "G's gotten back to us."
"What do you have?"
"He send us this image."
A few minutes later, the images of the slain Level 3s were shown.
"I don't believe it." Anton was a bit shocked to see the images on the main screen. "Mutant grasshoppers."
"This means that someone's financially and materially backing the ISS if Gibson found these creatures and killed them." Yoko surmised.
"This is and it is still... controversial." Anton grimaced when he saw the bodies. "I remember hearing stories and rumors of mutant surgery being done by the Nazis as a way to get supersoldiers to fight in the eastern parts of Europe without worrying about the weather or logistics."
"Get Gibson to make contact with Bravo Team ASAP." Yoko spoke to an analyst.
"Understood, ma'am."
Somewhere in ISS Compound, near Futo-Tokyo border, Japan
Gibson continued his trek in the ISS Compound after he got in by using the loading docks. By using the fire escape stairs that led to the basement, and kicking the fire escape door that led to the basement floor with the lab that was previously searched.
"Dang. Looks like the intel the guys got on the ISS didn't pull any punches."
The robot previously came across the lab Marc and company infiltrated; the corpses of the Level 3s they killed were left alone.
"Morgue got wrecked. Not surprised if these creatures were in here before the fight started."
After inspecting the corpses and nabbing any documents that he can get his hands on, Gibson left the morgue.
But when he stepped out, he was able to meet up.... Or rather, stumble onto Tyler and Mafuba.
"Hey." Tyler greeted Gibson. "We're friendlies, yo."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Gibson had the instinct to raise Carol up, but didn't. He thanked his programming for it. "No biggie, my man."
"Just you?" Mafuba asked the ex-Neo Guild robot.
"Yep. Had a run in with the CIA's SOG. Though K briefed me to do it just as a way in."
"Damn. You got some titanium balls to do that, yeah?"
Gibson chuckled, he couldn't help but agree.
"Well I didn't expect to see you here."
Gibson looked around and saw Marc, who helped Dr. Kazamatsuri as the former carried an unconscious Ai in his arms.
"Being the ladies' man, are we?" Gibson poked fun at his colleague.
"Ha, ha. Pretty funny." Marc rolled his eyes after hearing Gibson's attempts to be funny.
"I'm assuming those two are the POIs?"
"Yeah. The director of this joint got them locked up. We're going to get them out of here before reinforcements arrive."
"I'll take the lady off your hands." Gibson offered. "Besides, I'm bulletproof."
"If you insist." Marc agreed to his idea. He slowly walked up to Gibson and carefully handed Ai to his arms.
"Okay... okay..." Gibson carefully scooped the nurse up from Marc to his arms. "Okay. Got her."
"So how do we proceed?" Mafuba asked.
"You guys go ahead." Gibson suggested. "I mean... I'm bulletproof, but not the nurse I'm holding in my arms."
"He's got a point." Tyler replied.
"Alright then." Marc said. He then spoke to the doctor. <"Pardon me. But you should stand behind my colleague.">
<"Are you sure?"> Daigo looked at Gibson. <"I mean...">
<"No worries, doc."> Gibson tried to reassure him. <"I've been shot at in the past and I'm still running fine.">
Command Center, TCADMR Headquarters
"Thank you. I'll be in touch."
Annrietta came in the command center, who was on a phone call for a couple of minutes.
"I was about to call you, Ann." Yoko spoke to her after Annrietta stepped foot inside.
"I trust that Gibson already helped the CIA breach the place." The woman said after she finished her call.
"Yes, he did. He already split off from them and linked up with Bravo Team."
"Alright. Intelligence is picking up chatter that the CIA has plans for Shin Kazamatsuri, especially after the surgery that's been done on him."
"Any specific details?"
"Tapping them now. But it seems like we're getting some opposition with one of their own on the ground. Honestly, I don't think that's going to last."
"Let me know of any updates."
"Understood. And what about Kazamatsuri?"
"Keep an eye out. With his girlfriend in danger, he could be heading to the ISS to save her and possibly his father."
"Ma'am! We found him!"
"Who is it?"
"It's him."
The main screen showed someone who is approximately in his 30s with short black hair and East Asian features befitting a Japanese person. He was seen in a brown leather jacket, black pants and combat boots that appear to be a bit worn out from constant use.
"It's Shin." Annrietta said when she saw him run down a few blocks as if he was running a marathon.
That was a sign that the man was given special surgery that makes him much stronger and faster than an average person.
"Let's continue to observe him." Yoko told Annrietta.
Annrietta nodded. "Of course."
