Burned down paradise

Summary:

After enduring years of banishment together, Lucerys marries his elder brother Jacaerys in a modest ceremony. They withdraw to their bedchamber to consummate their union, but their uncle wants revenge for his lost eye. Aemond claims the right of the first night to bed Lucerys, and as all the smallfolk know, it would be an honor if Lucerys were to bear a child of silver hair, as a result.

Work Text:

Lucerys' vivid laugh filled the bedchamber when his brother Jacaerys carried him to the bed. The warm wool cloak wrapped around him was his brother's and the rosy hue on his cheeks bloomed due to a glass of wine they had shared.

Their wedding had been a modest affair, attended mainly by the smallfolk of the village they lived in. They required little comfort beside one another.

They had once been princes, both of them, but they had been deemed bastards - sent away to live among the smallfolk.

Lucerys was gently laid down on the bedding. It was soft, lined with undyed fur and wool. Despite they had been sharing a bed for quite some time, Jacaerys had chosen to respect his omega brother's virtue. Lucerys had flowered recently, at the age of ten-and-four, and was by all accounts, completely irresistible. Many must have admired Jacaerys' resolve in this matter.

Jacaerys had perhaps been hopeful Lucerys, ravishing and slender as he was, might one day marry above his station.

But this had not been Lucerys' desire and his charms were indeed a difficult thing for an alpha to refuse.

And thus, they had married.

Lucerys could not be more content when his brother began unlacing the ribbons of his bodice.

"Jace", he began with a small voice. "I'm scared"

"Shh, don't be. I will be gentle", Jacaerys hushed him.

Lucerys let his brother peel away the fabric of his garbs. No doubt his restlessness was evident in his expression. Jacaerys lowered himself and slotted their lips together into a tender kiss.

It was proof enough - his brother knew how to soothe him. Jacaerys was stern at times but never had a rough hand. Lucerys knew had his brother not been an alpha, someone far more cruel might have taken him. Most of the bastard omegas were sold into servitude by their parents - to fine households to act as maids or to pleasure houses.

Lucerys could not have imagined either fate. He was glad Jacaerys could take care of him, provide for him, and keep him safe from all harm.

The gentle hands left him perfectly nude.

"Here, have some more wine", Jacaerys spoke gently and offered him a cup of red. "It will help you relax"

Lucerys couldn't admit how nervous he was. Every omega he knew often said the first bedding was agonizing. Taking the knot was the worst part, especially if he was not in heat. Lucerys was not so fortunate. The thought alone had him chewing the inside of his mouth.

It was said the mating bite was far more pleasant, nearly euphoric. Lucerys found comfort in it, it would make him proud to have his brother's fangs below his skin.

He took the cup and drank the liquid eagerly. It was thickly sweet, but he knew Jacaerys' statement was very much true. Lucerys could feel how the haze settled in the back of his head as his brother's hands caressed his hips.

They both jumped when they heard a clamor from the door. It was thrown open with a slam. Jacaerys rushed up from the bed, Lucerys quickly pulled one of the furs to cover himself.

A figure walked in. The man was tall, dressed in black, thin armor. The plates had a sheen to them in the light of the fireplace. Like blood spilled in the moonlight. His hair was white and his scarred face was pale. His eye was covered with a patch of leather.

Lucerys recognized him before his brother did. It was easier for him as he had done the deed of removing the man's eye.

"Uncle", he gasped.

"Nephews", Aemond's greeting was cold and lazy. "Not a moment too late"

With him, Aemond brought in two guards. Lucerys recognized them from the village. They stood in the doorway, blocking it.

Lucerys did not understand what he meant. The ceremony was done, and why should their uncle wish to attend? None of their family had. His brother and he were gone, forgotten, as if they had never been.

An ill feeling made Lucerys squeeze the fur around him. Aemond was an alpha with a scent of madness and obsidian. Scorn still smoldering. Shivers crawled up Lucerys' spine.

Jacaerys rushed towards his sword in the corner of the room, but Aemond unsheathed his own and brought the blade before Jacaerys.

"Not so hasty. Is this the greeting you grant your uncle?" Aemond mocked him. "Sit down, Jace"

"You are not welcome here", Jacaerys resisted.

"I care not. I am a prince of the realm and what exactly are you? A bastard, just a mutt without a title. Now, sit down unless you wish my visit ends prematurely in bloodshed"

Aemond's words were harsh. His tone was slow and dark, the threat enough to make Jacaerys obey through gritted teeth. He sat in the chair by the fireplace where Aemond's finger beckoned.

Only then did Aemond turn to Lucerys.

The corners of his uncle's thin lips nudged. He wanted to smile but did not.

"And you? Get up, bastard"

Lucerys held tightly from the fur as he rose from the bed. His legs were hesitant, his hands nearly shaking.

"Drop that", Aemond ordered and stepped closer with his blade in hand.

The tip of the sword grazed the fur. Lucerys shook his head in defiance, knuckles white. The blade came closer and nicked his shoulder blade enough to draw a streak of crimson. Lucerys whimpered and took a step back.

Jacaerys jumped up from the chair.

"He is my bride. Do not try to hurt him", his voice was thick with anger.

"I only intended to look", Aemond corrected him. "But I see you wish to make this unnecessarily difficult. I am not surprised, you were always the troublesome ilk. Guards!"

The two men Aemond had brought rushed in and seized Jacaerys' arms. They forced him back in the chair.

Panic crawled up Lucerys' throat. His heart beat madly in his chest and his lower lip began to quiver. His fear soured the room.

"Now, Luke", his uncle looked at him again with a tilted head. "Let me see you or I shall cut open your brother's throat"

Lucerys heard no waver. The blade before him was proof enough that Aemond did not jest. He peeled off the fur and let it fall around his feet. Aemond's gaze burned him.

"Turn"

And he did, attempting to suffocate his tears before they emerged. Lucerys stood completely nude before his uncle, and felt the wickedness linger on his hips. The blade traversed his skin and sent shivers through his entire body. It was cold and hard. Even the slightest movement from Aemond's wrist would cut him again.

Everyone would surely agree Lucerys had a graceful figure. He had never been examined, however.

The sword pushed his dark curls aside from covering his nape. His skin remained pristine and milky where a bite mark would be, had they managed to consummate.

"I see you have not been claimed", the voice behind him sounded surprised. "Turn and kneel"

Lucerys turned around carefully when the steel moved away. He raised his eyes enough to only see another glimpse of Aemond's ruthless expression. It was enough to make him obey again. Lucerys let his knees fall to the floor.

"Gods, you have good manners, how unlikely. I do hope Jace did not break your will yet. I quite liked your fire", Aemond teased him.

Lucerys knew it was an insult. A way to mock him, for he had once known bloodthirst unfit for his nature. He stared at the floorboards to brace himself from the cold waves of dread that shook him.

"What do you want, uncle?" Jacaerys hissed from the chair where he was held still.

"I have come to claim my right to the first night with your bride"

A frightened gasp slipped from Lucerys' lips. It could not be true. It was a lie to fool with them in an effort to sate Aemond's wish for revenge. The tradition was ancient, not one lord reached for it anymore. It was distasteful, dishonorable - a law, nonetheless. Disobedience would be punishable by death.

His uncle could not be so cruel

"You have no such right", Jacaerys continued.

"I am your lord, might I remind you", Aemond said what Lucerys knew to be the truth of it. "It is a sin you have committed, Jace. You have wedded your own brother, the faith does not take kindly to that"

"We are Valyrian"

"No, you are bastards. I will have your marriage annulled and your pretty bride will be given to a pleasure house"

Lucerys bit his teeth to fight off his tears. Aemond continued, looking at him again.

"Or perhaps, I would simply keep him to myself"

Repulsion dried Lucerys' throat. He could hear the desire in his uncle's voice, the way his tone became thicker and darker. The little motion on Aemond's lips was a full-blown smirk now. He was thrilled.

"Uncle, please", Lucerys tried to negotiate. He inched closer on the floor. "I would give you my eye instead- I know this is what you want as payment"

"Oh, sweet Luke. On any other day, I would grant you any wish, but I am afraid on your special night, my greed is immeasurable"

Lucerys did not surrender yet, even if he knew Aemond was far too adamant for him to persuade. He looked up at him, speaking softly in hopes of swaying the alpha's stone-cold heart.

"Please, take my eye and let us go. You needn't carry a grudge any longer"

"I do not want your eye", Aemond said. "I want your maidenhead"

Lucerys felt his posture falling entirely. It was what little value he had. It was meant to be of his choosing who took it and he had chosen his brother.

"And I shall have it. Would you prefer I let your brother live?" his uncle asked.

"Yes, please do not hurt him"

Aemond's face softened for a moment of hope that did not linger once spoken away.

"How could I when you plead with me so sweetly?" he asked. "Perhaps I shall let him remain in this very room. I will let him inspect how the deed is done"

Jacaerys struggled, trying to wrestle with the guards. Lucerys heard his grunts of anger and frustration.

"You cannot have him!" his brother hissed.

"Do you not wish to stay here, Jace? I am afraid Lucerys will be in quite a lot of pain very soon. Would you not stay to comfort your brother?" Aemond taunted him. "I will let you hold his hand"

Lucerys tried covering himself. Aemond would brutalize him, tear him apart only for the sake of torturing him. There was no doubt about it. Aemond would leave nothing for Jacaerys.

Aemond sheathed his sword and grabbed Lucerys up from the floor.

"No, no!" Lucerys struggled against the arms that seized his wrists and pulled him toward the bed.

He kicked wildly in Aemond's grasp and pleaded with him. The plates of his uncle's armor were cold, but not entirely hard. It was the lighter sort of gear - he could feel Aemond through it.

There was little he could do to fight. Aemond was larger than Lucerys in every way and he was convinced his wrist would surely break if he pulled any harder.

"Uncle, please don't do this to me-", Lucerys kept asking when he was forced down to the bed.

"Quit your squirming and I needn't hurt you", Aemond warned him.

Lucerys did not believe it was true. His uncle was a madman, he could do anything and walk into the sunset afterward. He was dragged further on the bed, legs kicking the air, hands trying to push Aemond away from on top of him.

His uncle wished to caress him. Aemond mouthed his neck with quick, forceful kisses and palmed his hips. The kisses became angry when Lucerys kept writhing. He could feel the alpha's fangs testing his resolve.

It was not enough for Aemond, however. He crashed his lips against Lucerys', kissed him with little decency and plenty of tongue.

Lucerys did not hesitate a moment to bite him. Aemond snarled as a distressed animal would before he pulled away.

A strike came down against Lucerys' face. It was hard enough to blacken his surroundings. The corners of his eyes flickered, and dark dots danced up in the ceiling of the bedchamber. Lucerys' head was thrown back as blood flooded his mouth.

It tasted of iron. Lucerys spat out the bitterness.

Voices were left humming. A lullaby he feared might send him unconscious.

Jacaerys was trying to wrestle off the guards again. Lucerys could hear him shouting.

"Tie his hands", Aemond said above him. "I want him left here. He may watch"

Lucerys expected to be tied, but he realized his uncle meant his brother. His lids felt heavy and the throbbing of the hit was slowly subsiding. His blinks became rapid as he tried to recover.

Aemond turned him on his belly. Settled between his thighs. Quiet whimpers of no fell from his lips.

Once the colors of Lucerys' sight were restored, Jacaerys was before the bed on the floor. His brother's wrists were tied with rope in front of him and he struggled to reach him.

"Jace?" Lucerys managed to whisper. "I'm scared"

"I know, Luke. I'm so sorry", his brother said - agonized and throat raw. He kept searching for his uncle's mercy. "Be gentle with him, uncle, I implore you. He's so slight"

"He will hurt only the necessary amount", Aemond said what Lucerys knew to be a lie.

Lucerys heard the friction of clothing behind him when Aemond undid his breeches. He had to endure, so he might be left in peace with Jacaerys. It would be over in a moment, he wished.

His eyes burned, his sight shuddered. He couldn't hold his tears anymore.

Harsh fingers delved between Lucerys' thighs, traced his folds, and forced them apart. Aemond's hands were hardened by battle, he was not gentle when he pushed a finger inside. Lucerys whined as his body was invaded without his wish.

"You are wet", his uncle accused.

Lucerys knew it was from before. From when he had expected his brother would make love to him in their marital bed. He said nothing, only lowered his head to the bedding.

Aemond spat on his hand and palmed against Lucerys' cunt.

Lucerys' teeth gritted together when Aemond brought his cockhead to his entrance. He could tell it was thick. His uncle's weight kept him down on the bed, his thighs and legs immobilized. Jacaerys reached for his hand and Lucerys tried holding on.

The rope left his brother's skin around it red.

A sharp pain seared through Lucerys' core when Aemond pressed inside of him. It ripped a scream from his lungs. He wanted to writhe away, but his uncle's grasp on his hips became like cooling iron.

Aemond thrust in as deep as he might, trying to bury the entire hilt of his cock inside of Lucerys. It was too large and heavy for Lucerys' slender form.

Lucerys' breathing was frantic. The hurt was septic - throbbing in his belly and lower back. Even the back of his throat was on fire and each time he swallowed his tears, the agony thrived.

"Jace", he cried when he thought he could take no more. "Please, help"

His strength was withering, but he managed to look at his brother. He saw little of this quality in Jacaerys' eyes, either.

It was wrong to ask. It was wrong to plead when Lucerys knew there was nothing to be done. The bedding was Lucerys' to outlast, he had to endure it for the sake of their union.

"You are hurting him, uncle. This is unnecessary", Jacaerys tried to reason.

Aemond hummed in amusement.

"He was made for this. Once it's your turn, you will no doubt agree"

His turn. Lucerys' body was simply for trade. A thing of little value to spoil and break.

The thrusts made the bed creak. Lucerys' face twisted in agony, his lips were split by his own teeth. His small fingers squeezed his brother's hand tighter.

Once he looked up again, he saw Jacaerys eyes were shut. Lucerys found himself wishing he could have been held by his brother.

He refused to grant Aemond the satisfaction of begging for mercy when his uncle only fucked into him faster. In, and Lucerys' core was split open. Out, and the parts of it were pulled painfully. Fingers and nails dug into the flesh of his inner thighs, spreading Lucerys further.

"Gods, you have a pretty cunt", Aemond praised him.

Lucerys' tears fell without resistance. His belly hurt and the weight atop his lower body felt more and more crushing by the moment.

"Your brother will put you to waste, sweet Luke"

There was a slight heave in Aemond's voice, a rasp in the peak of his throat.

Lucerys cried out between his teeth when Aemond's knot began to swell inside of him. It stretched him mercilessly. Burned and tore him. He heard another pleasant hum from his uncle and a firm hand settled on his waist.

"You are bleeding", Aemond said. The words were spoken with a smile.

Lucerys could not tell what was blood, slick, or saliva. All he knew was that the bedding below him was wet and the pain inside of him was not dulling.

It left him nauseous.

Aemond slammed his hips down again, ruthlessly hitting as deep as he could. Lucerys could feel his uncle's knot tear him from within. He was certain his innards were twisted.

The hard life they had lived left Lucerys mistakenly thinking he was unbreakable. This was not the truth of it. He felt shattered to pieces.

Aemond groaned above him and his hips stuttered. He spilled inside Lucerys, warm streaks of seed filling him up.

Lucerys let himself find some hope in the fact that it was over. The relief made his heart drop.

"Your brother would look lovely with a swollen belly, do you not agree, Jace?" he heard Aemond mock him. "He is so very slight, after all"

"I hope you burn in the seven hells", his brother spat.

"Perhaps fortune will bless us and he will bear a silver-haired child", Aemond continued.

Tears rolled down Lucerys' cheeks. He did not want Aemond's child. He did not want anyone's child if this was the process of conceiving one. He sniffled, fingers still caught in Jacaerys' bound hands.

Aemond pulled out slowly once his knot deflated. All the filth dripped down Lucerys' thighs. He could not bother to move. It did not hurt so much anymore. He felt splintered, he couldn't bear thinking what his torn hole looked like after.

Sloppy, wet lips pressed on his cheek.

"What a divine little thing you are. I shall never forget this", Aemond told him.

Lucerys wouldn't forget it, either.

"Do not weep. What is it that distresses you so?"

His uncle had raped him before his brother-husband's eyes. Taken what was intended for Jacaerys. Stolen what was not his.

Lucerys could not say it.

"Hurts", he whispered instead.

A gentle hand caressed his hair. For a moment, he thought it might have been his brother's.

"Did you not hear, Jace? Tend to your deflowered bride"

The dip on the bed became lighter. Aemond stood up to tidy himself. Lucerys watched him walk to the bedside table to pour water into the bowl there. With a dampened cloth, his uncle was cleaning up the blood around his cock.

Jacaerys rose on the bed and lay down beside Lucerys. The linen was stained in blood. Lucerys' eyes widened when he saw the mess.

"You will keep your word, uncle?" Jacaerys was on the brink. "You will leave us alone now and let us remain wedded?"

Lucerys leaned against his brother, searching for his comforting scent. It was addled with worry and fear. It could not soothe an omega in need of an alpha. Lucerys' heartbeat picked up again.

Aemond fixed his clothing before taking the wine from the table. He filled the cup that had been Lucerys'.

"Perhaps I shall pay you a visit in nine moons", he jested before taking a sip.

"Uncle", Jacaerys hissed. "Will you keep your word?"

Aemond extended his hand and offered Lucerys the cup. Lucerys looked up at him and saw a wisp of concern as he took it with a shaking hand. He drank it empty in a single long gulp.

"I will keep my word. Let me untie you", Aemond said and took out his dagger.

Jacaerys rose hesitantly from the bed. Lucerys swallowed the sweetness of the wine, letting the intoxicant dull his shame and ache.

For a fleeting moment, Lucerys thought all was settled. This was until he heard Jacaerys yelp.

Aemond pulled his brother down on the floor. Jacaerys kicked and howled, trying to push away the dagger when Aemond climbed on top of him and brought the hilt of the dagger by his face. He crashed it down, used the handle as one might a small hammer.

Jacaerys screamed. Aemond shoved his fingers in his mouth and they came out bloodied.

"Jace? Jace!" Lucerys called for his brother as he cranked himself up from the bed.

The panic and ache sent him down to his knees, but he crawled towards Jacaerys nonetheless.

Aemond stood up and let his brother go.

Jacaerys turned around on the floor and coughed blood across the floorboards. Along with the spatters of red, came out a tooth. One of his fangs. It was torn from the root.

The other one, Aemond tossed across the room.

"There", his uncle declared. "You may remain married all you wish, but you will never lay claim on him"

Lucerys cried out in horror at what he witnessed. He crawled closer to Jacaerys and clasped his arms around his brother.

Jacaerys' face was bloodied. There were dents on his jaw and lips. He was bleeding furiously, trying to spit out mouthfuls.

The look in his eyes was terrified. Jacaerys was defaced - he would never claim Lucerys, never truly be able to secure him as a mate. Not without the bite.

The thought made Lucerys' tears resurface. Their weight was more than he could take.

"In nine moons", Aemond reminded them from the doorway before he took his leave.

There was no pity in his uncle's voice. The door closed and they were left alone. Lucerys folded around his brother, fragmented sobs taking over all his will.

Gods had never pitied Jacaerys and him, and Lucerys did not think their cruel humor would end here.
