Chapter 1: The Transmigration
Chapter Text
Body in abyss, heart in paradise.- Xie Lian, TGCF
~
It was a good day today for me as I'm going to meet my favorite Vtuber, KEORAPPU-chan!
The excitement in my heart is overflowing as I hummed while I packed the things needed for the fan meet. However, there are things that I didn't know I would forget.
One, I forgot my wallet, which is amusing because I always remember it whenever I go out of the house. Thankfully, I wasn't far enough, so I returned to get it.
I won't hesitate to get her autograph this time, as I have always dreamed of someday. As I walk down the street to the bus station going to Philippine Arena where the fan meeting will take place. A few minutes later, I arrived at the location but I still need to walk to get to the main entrance, which irritates me since I'm a naturally impatient person. I was peacefully walking towards the fries booth when someone hit me in the head with a toy plushie that came from behind.
"Hey, Drake! You're leaving me behind!" A man who looks in his twenties came up. "Ay, I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit you, I was aiming for the man over there heh."
I looked over my shoulder and saw a white-haired man. He looks like a damn cosplayer and to top it all off he's handsome as fuck. I hate it, but at the same time, I don't why? I just like my average life okay? no questions asked.
The guy just awfully stared at me and I walked away.
I went on about my mission and got her autograph which I even framed in my room and proceeded to do anything I wanted for the day.
But little did I know... a week after this event...
~
I was just about to get something from the cabinet when I felt dizzy, I stumbled on the floor and my brother rushed to me screaming for help when I fell unconscious.
When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital bed with Jericho holding my hand and sleeping.
How cute. I thought.
As if he felt that I woke up, he opened his eyes and saw me staring at him. "Bro...what happened to you?"
I was about to answer when a doctor came in with a nurse holding a clipboard and they seem to be quite gloomy.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush, you're diagnosed with stage three heart cancer."
"What?" I exclaimed in horror. What about my brother? what's going to happen to him? No! I can't die like this at least not yet until I see him graduate high school.
"Doc, is there another way to live longer? I- I can't die... I have a little brother that needs my support-"
"There is." The doctor replied. "But the chance is lower."
At that moment, I broke into tears, as the doctor said I can live for a year longer at most but two to three years you must be lucky enough to achieve. I was sobbing as Jericho hugged me while he was holding back his.
We stayed like that for like an hour before he went out to buy food from the hospital cafeteria to get me porridge that I had asked for earlier and his food as well.
It was devastating.
It shouldn't be like this... I should be the one taking care of him and not the other way around.
It hurts but I need to accept this fate.
Fate? Does it even exist?
If so, then why- why did our parents leave us to ourselves to survive in this cruel world?
Why does it have to be me when my brother was just a high schooler?
My dream of seeing him on stage receiving his certificate of with honors was shattered the moment this day came.
I stayed in the hospital for weeks and even months spending time with my brother and a few visitors now and then until the day finally came.
"You...be kind huh? Don't be a bully to others, also don't ever eat my chocolates in the refrigerator okay? that's mine and mine only." I said as I tearfully smiled at him and held his face.
"Yes b-bro..." he said between sniffs.
I was disheartened last night, I felt like my body deteriorated already. I guess this is the end of everything I did for my brother, friends, and even sis Mari. I closed my eyes and tried to feel the warm breeze of fresh air from outside my room's window.
I have no regrets whatsoever.
I finally closed my sense of sight.
That was the end of it... or so I thought.
When I opened my eyes, I rose to find myself somewhat wearing a white long-sleeved robe. What the heck? Am I in heaven? Is this what people wear in heaven?
I observed my surroundings first and stood up, not wasting any second, I walked towards an ancient-looking door and opened it. To my surprise, people outside were wearing the same clothes as mine. They were even speaking unfamiliar language and tone but I wonder why I could understand them at the same time?
While trying to, at the very least, sink in what was happening to me right now when a small boy suddenly halts in front of me and clutched his hand on my leg.
"Mister, can you buy us steamed dumplings? I have my pregnant mother waiting for me at home, She's hungry at the moment..." The boy pleaded as I was startled at his actions.
"I..."
All of a sudden, I saw something like a flashback. No, more like a scene of this little boy in front of me talking to a pregnant woman who seems like in her 20's and him happily giving dumplings to her mother after a while the woman suddenly fainted ad it looks like she was poisoned due to the dumplings being already expired and he, in return, became alone with no one by his side.
I held the child's shoulders and told him that he should cook porridge instead of buying dumplings from the market. I don't know what came over me but I helped him buy glutinous rice and even cook it. As I was about to leave after helping them, the boy hugged my legs as if it was a thanks for taking care of his mother for a while.
After that, I thought about what happened there- no, more like what the heck is that? How weird. I thought. It was weird because the moment I looked into his eyes I saw the scene unfolding in front of me as if it was showing me what would- wait, let's not assume things. First of all, It looks like I'm in East Asia but I'm not sure what part. Second, I could somewhat understand them and I was speaking to them too in that unfamiliar language. I presume it was Chinese but I've read countless Manhuas and novels so I don't know which one is it. Yeah, I feel like I'm an isekai protagonist already. Oh wait- maybe I am. But I still shouldn't assume things without proof.
I was standing on the sidewalk of the market when a guy suddenly slipped by and bumped into me like I was just a damn wall and aren't I person like seriously what's wrong with people? This is why I hate iseka-
We looked into each other's eyes.
Here's another scene popping up again. This time it was a random black-robed dude who was chasing him and when he somehow got away with it, he met up with a black-haired girl in red robes who looks feminine but it feels sinisterly dangerous. Why is he trusting a damn- Oh. He got betrayed by her as she thrust a knife into his heart and he yelled "Xiao Mai, why are you doing this to me?" But she didn't answer, instead, she laughed maniacally as if she got out of a mental hospital I'd say.
She looked at him sharply. "You met her didn't you?"
I was in a daze if it weren't for the guy snapping his fingers in front of my face. "I'm sorry sir but I kept apologizing for bumping into you and I'm in a hurry right now so I'm gonna leave immediately"
"Wait!" I yelled in a hurry. " I don't care if you don't believe me but don't ever trust a woman in red robes okay? She'll betray you!"
"..." The man didn't say anything and dashed away.
"What is this power anyway..."
I'm normally aren't the type to grasp complicated things that easily or understand why I isekai'ed into this world. One thing's for sure, as I remember, this is Ancient China, from language to names to clothes and culture it's definitely it. But I don't know what era or novel or manhua is this and that's what I gotta find out. The sooner, the better.

"Doubt is the privilege of those who have a way out." - Rong Jiu
Day four.
It was sudden... I thought. I wasn't planning on doing anything since this isekai thing happened but then I remembered when I heard the name 'Chu Wanning' somewhere in this town and that's why I recalled the contents of that novel. 'The Dumb Husky and His White Cat Shizun' was marvelous and kind of shit I'd say in my own humble opinion, why? First of all, it's rape when Taxian-jun did Chu-Fei on their first night though we all know that Wanning my bro loves him so much that he could definitely without hesitation give his whole freaking world to him, but guess what?
The whole misunderstanding was the cause of the damn flower- what was the name of it again? Can't remember but I've read countless danmei because somebody in my friend group recommended it. Take note he's a fudanshi- whatever that likes reading boy-on-boy love, I also don't know why I read it at that time though...maybe I'm just curious about it because it was gaining fame and having a live adaptation? Who knows.
Second, it has all the negative tags you'll ever find in this world maybe except for the vanilla sex thing or something along with that. Furthermore, reading this novel, makes you dramatic as shit, and feels like you rode on a rollercoaster of bullcrap feelings.
Oh. I got to know myself in this world I transmigrated in, My name is Li Shuitao or you can call me Tao as people have been calling me here, 14 years old and still struggling with life as he was abandoned by his whole damn family, Doing odd jobs every day to earn enough money to buy food and renting a house.
I'm in the middle of thinking when an old man stood in front of me as he pulled my right hand towards him, scanning my palm, and said. "hmmm, unfortunate fellow....good riddance of negative energy ehhhh...powerful gift... Oh heavens! A savior!" I yanked my arm in fright.
"Wha-what did you say?" I said confused.
"You're a savior, good child!" He said as he pats my shoulders and walked away.
"What the hell?"
What was that for? I'm seriously out of my mind or maybe this world is making my mind insane and I'm not having it.
I was heading towards the beauty pavilion where you can spend a night with your chosen woman and have tea time with them to ask where you can find Sisheng Peak when suddenly a woman screamed in terror.
This fantastic cliché scream thing in danmeis again...One thing's for sure, something big happened and it isn't something simple.
I am immersed in my damn intrusive thoughts when I saw someone pass by me and from his back, I notice a guy wearing white robes with traces of gold, he seems to be asking a girl, maybe he was questioning a random person and he thinks he could get information like that. In short, I shook my head in disbelief as I headed toward his direction and tapped on his shoulder. Maybe if I help this guy he would owe me and I could ask the direction to Sisheng Peak... Alright, killing two birds with one stone!
"Young Master, if you may excuse me, it seems you are asking indirect questions that may confuse the person you're asking."
"What?" he seemed surprised by what I said. Why tho?
He was about to say something when I turned towards the girl he is asking, "Did you happen to catch a glimpse of what happened because we heard a scream from here?"
She shrugged. "No, Young Masters." Hmm, something is up.
~
Good thing I dropped it because the moment I did, after me and the white-gold-robed guy 'left' as I predicted, the innocent girl we interrogated earlier smirked and closed the gates. Thankfully, we managed to get inside the beauty pavilion and hid in a room. Luckily, we can hear women talking to the girl in the next room from here.
"What happened Meimei?" a woman asked.
"Two men questioned me earlier, a guy who looks like a noble and another one who looks like from the poor village"
"Hmm, did you make sure no one noticed or suspected you?" the woman sternly said.
"Yes. Xu-jiejie" A maiden answered.
"Good. Ahahaha! no one would think we are shadow spirits possessing these pure innocent maidens!" she added as she hysterically laughed.
What?! Shadow spirits? Did they exist in the original novel? I don't remember reading something like that there.
In the middle of thinking the guy I was with told me something, "Pardon me for not asking this earlier but what's your name, and why are you suddenly helping me? I feel like you're planning something hideous and that's why you're doing this" he narrowed his eyes at me.
What hideous bullcrap mister? God, if only I can pinch his ear and yell at him that we need to focus on this matter at hand before suspecting me- I mean he wasn't wrong about me having an intent but what I only need is the direction to go to Sisheng Peak! If I weren't was just trying to live since this world is about to get messed up by Hua Binan the bastard.
"My name is Li Shuitao, I'm just a poor villager from the ShuYi town 5 miles from here, and as for your question about my intention, I'll answer that when this thing is finished" I lend out a hand to give him a handshake.
Yeah right, as if these things can be finished within an hour. Besides, I need to examine this ability I gained that wasn't familiar in what I've read in Erha. Though I've heard of this in my world, I think it is Clairvoyance or something related of the sort.
"Shen Chaochang." He hesitantly took my hand to shake.
I took a step back and my foot bumped into something so I turned around and bent down and grabbed the thing. It is revealed to be an arm of a decayed body with no eyes as if someone took it out and it looks horrifying if you're scared of horror movies that is.
"The corpse is decaying... But I doubt it's been too long." I said examining the dead body as Chaochang went to look for other ones as well. But only this is the only one we could find at the moment.
We heard someone opening the door to this room and we immediately hid behind the barrels. It was honestly uncomfortable for me as he was behind me covering my mouth as if I would create a noise in this despicable and dangerous situation we're in.
The person who opened the door suddenly transformed into a shadow monster that has no eyes only its bloody mouth gaping wide as if its smelling organ. Its breath hitching like it was trying to find something using its sense of smell. Fortunately, after a while, the scary creature left in a hurry.
"It's cramped in here, can you get off now please?" I said irritatingly trying to push him off behind only to fail miserably.
"Why would I get off if you're clinging onto me?"
"You-" I snapped, but then he showed me how my hand was gripping onto him like a scared quack I am. Damn fuck maybe I unconsciously did who knows I'm holding onto dear life since this is my second and I don't want to put it to waste.
"You shouldn't do that honestly to a stranger you've just met minutes ago," he said annoyingly.
"Yeah cut the bullcrap, Mr.Know-it-all" I said it in English so he wouldn't know what I just said and he just stared at me confused for a minute before he went out to observe and told me that we need to get out of the pavilion.
As soon as we got out, I remembered I should try to ask the directions to get to Sisheng Peak. He was already quite far away from me so I ran and grabbed the hem of his robes and he didn't even budge as he was strong enough to withstand my 'super hard' pull. I stumbled backward but he turned around and caught me in his arms. We stayed like that for minutes until he unexpectedly retracted his arms back and dropped me on the ground as I groaned in pain.
"I- I'll maybe...go back...to inform my fellow people to eradicate them, Goodbye." He said as he fled away hurriedly.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" I said as I stood up with my lower back aching.
I'll ask about it next time I guess. Also, what are those flowers when that cliché thing in romance happened? Ugh, jeez I don't want to have my own romance here. Give me a break.
Notes:
Taotao is cute ain't he?
Chapter 3: ChaoChang's Personality
Summary:
Who was Chaochang? Is he really helping our main character or he's a secret villain? Who knows what he is hiding beneath the surface but there is one thing that we know, he can't leave Shuitao alone.
Chapter Text
If you don't know how to save others, how will you save yourself? - Chu Wanning
I'm still irritated from what happened before, I took that situation out of my mind and focused on the upcoming problems at hand. I started to list down things that might happen if I arrived at Sisheng Peak, one of those possibilities is that I might get killed or get poisoned by someone who hates my guts there, I don't know. Li Shuitao is a person whose personality or identity I can't remember nor I'm familiar with either.
My only concern is that this person might have enemies made before I came to possess this body, I can't have that lingering around. This is my second life, I must and absolutely protect it to the best of my abilities.
I remember cursing the author because I felt like garbage after the reveal of Chu Wanning's death and Mo Ran's as well, however, I can't face the fact that I might die here without someone crying over my dead body. No, I'm not a narcissist nor trying to grab attention or anything, I'm just alone here. No one knows me, THE REAL ME.
I captured a perfect scene in my head so I might play or act upon my arrival at Sisheng Peak. I snickered as I thought of the results, making the people around me look horrified.
Oh, I forgot I'm writing on a paper outside. Well, shit.
~
As soon as I was finished with my business, I prepared my breakfast made of— yeah, porridge. I can't buy ready-made meals from convenience stores like in my original world here, besides I still have some porridge left from when I cooked it with the child.
I slowly slurped the porridge-like I imagined it to be like a soup for the riches, feeling the ecstasy and satisfaction of eating food like the wealthy people. I shuddered at the thought of it, We aren't particularly poor but we could survive as I was working part-time jobs all night and attending seminars with certificates daytime. My hard work pays off well because my brother is graduating with honorable mention so I'm glad that I did those things back then.
I put down the wooden bowl and blankly stared at nowhere and thought I shouldn't ponder over these things but can't help but overthink everything, back from the start.
I went out to cool myself and finally rest my intrusive thoughts.
"A-Tao, over here!" Luo Lingwei called.
This guy over here is my friend that I met last month, I made him one of my close chess pieces in order to act out my plans and reach my one end goal—achieving protection from everyone. Nah, I'm thinking like a child again. Scratch that, I'm out.
"What is it?" I asked and he handed me folded paper, when I opened it, I saw a drawn map to Sisheng Peak.
"Now, you owe me a big one."
I looked at him and shook his shoulders. "How did you get it?"
"Come on, does it matter?" He winked and I shrug in annoyance.
It looks like I won't need to look for Shen Chaochang then, there won't be a need since I helped him up to deal with—
"AAAAAHHHHH monster!"
Not again.
"Tao, I think we must hurry and go hide somewhere." Lingwei said looking over and panicking, The people dropping anything on their hands and running for their lives.
I pulled him towards an empty wooden hut and ducked him under a table forcefully.
"Tao, watch it!" He said scolding me as I kept leaning on the window to check whether there was someone or something outside. "Shoo, be quiet."
A figure stood upon the raging winds, its eyes gouged out, with nothing on and swaying its arms and smelling something. The figure walked and faced the hut, hissing and panting vigorously.
Lingwei kept muttering incoherent words like "he's gonna die" and some shit like that but I'm not complaining since we're both in this situation and kept thinking of ways on how to drive away the figure.
It's getting nearer by the minute I'm looking for something in the house to use to attack it, but to no avail, the first time I'm actually out of options. The only thing I grabbed is old wood hanging from the ceiling and waited for the figure's presence at the door.
We waited for a while but we heard no hisses nor groaning and looked at each other.
"You open it." I gestured at him.
"No, you do it." He shook his head.
"Why me-"
"You actually owe me a lot." Lingwei smiled, mocking the hell out of me again.
I smiled back at him to show my indifference towards his remarks and slowly opened the door.
What we two witnessed was the cold breeze of the night and a howling wolf...or whatever that is.
I gestured Lingwei to follow me as I looked everywhere being alerted to anything unusual that could happen by the minute but it was quiet, way too much to be exact and I don't like this.
Upon reaching a river whilst dragging my friend who murmurs whatever he thinks of, I immediately put my 'weapon' aside and washed my hands on the river.
"Why're you washing your hands?" Lingwei cried, worrying and looking everywhere but me.
"Not a big deal, I'm just testing something."
Lingwei scrunched his face in confusion, "What do you me-"
A loud groan can be heard from a distance and Lingwei jumped in terror as the figure pinned him down on the ground. He was completely struggling to hold the figure that is inches away from biting his neck.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Help me my friend I can't hold it up anymore!" Lingwei is definitely crying more than he should now.
With the old wood on my hand, I lunged and ran to pierce the figure but it deflected and now the prey changed from Lingwei to me. The figure kept on choking the hell out of me as I tried to wriggle out of its grasp or tried to at least dissect its attention to somewhere.
"A-Tao!" Lingwei shouted anxiously as he tried to run but I signaled him to stop and gestured for him to run away.
"No I won't!" Lingwei insisted, hoping to change Shuitao's mind. The figure is gripping its hands tighter on my neck and any more I'll pass out or worse, dead.
"Go..." I looked at him, trying to persuade him with my eyes that he needs to go and save himself from this unknown creature that is lurking around here.
Thankfully, Lingwei gets the signal and as he grits his teeth in frustration ran away, "I'll call for help I promise!"
Just like that, he disappeared from my line of sight and now I'm focusing on this worse situation that I'm in. I get the feeling of passing out when the figure suddenly lifts its other free hand up and thrust it in my stomach. As I got pierced by it, I coughed up blood and found myself lying on the ground and dizzy as my sight became blurry.
Again?
Why...me?
"Li Shuitao!"
Who?
"It's me Chaochang, can you hear me?"
Ah, it's that energetic guy.
What is this? I feel warm...
~
I woke up feeling thirsty and hungry, I turned to my side and saw a familiar face—Chaochang! What the heck? Why is he-
"I know what you're thinking, I just happened to be there! Don't assume things!" He shouted as he went out of the room.
I swear I don't understand this man.
After a few minutes, Chaochang arrived holding a tray containing a bowl of soup and spoon.
"Eat this." He demanded.
'The fuck he's ordering who?'
I hastily grabbed the tray which resulted a glare from him and I just ignored as I ate.
"You aren't grateful." He sighed.
I squinted my eyes at him, "What's to be grateful for?" I asked sarcastically.
"You-"
"Yes, it's me. What do you need sir?" I smiled mockingly at him and continued chewing on my food.
I can feel his anger seeping through, I put down my spoon and bowl.
"You know what? I give up." He said as he got up and turned his back on me like a tsundere he was.
"Oho, Here I thought White brother* and peacockmeng* were the only ones who were tsundere...I see.." I said in English so he won't know what am I telling him right now.
"What the heck did you say?" He grabbed the hem of my robe. "I saved you but this is how you repay?"
"I said that you are quite handsome and my gentle savior..." I said while smiling as I held his shoulders in an attempt to calm him down.
"Hmph! Whatever...you, along with your companion, must set off for departure at sunset."
I squinted my eyes at him. "What do you mean?"
"You can't stay here, not when I'm in charge of guarding the vicinity."
"You're a guard?"
He went silent for a moment. "Yeah, is that so surprising? It wasn't obvious?"
I pushed him back away from me, My hands tucked inside the pocket and I finally had the moment to sigh before I started to walk away from him.
Chapter 4: Sisheng Peak's "Angel"
Summary:
Shuitao lost consciousness, but who actually saved and took care of him? A foe wanting him dead or someone he thought was better?

Chapter Text
It was nowhere to be seen.
The pendant I was given by Lingwei!
I can't find it, how could it be lost when I was on that pavilion?! No, it can't be... I must find it before those son of hell monsters saw it, I'm sure as hell I'll be dead by then.
I was casually walking around the house looking for it when I heard someone yelled incoherent words. I spun and ran towards to where the sound came from and I was stunned to see unparalleled beauty that is sculptured— no scratch that, a man who can defeat hundreds of beauties in this world in terms of attractiveness and could actually win a beauty contest in the modern times without failure, a handsome man in pure white, cold aura piercing through the wind, no doubt he was indeed, Chu Wanning. Call it exaggerated but I stand by what I said.
Behind him were the famous trio of the novel, the middle being Mo Ran, followed by Shi Mei on the right and Xue Meng on the left. It seems like Chu Wanning was talking to someone and Mo Ran was ready to throw hands at that person with Shi Mei struggling to stop him and Xue Meng having the same reaction.
These four people....
I sighed, it's not like I transmigrated over here just to help the characters with their problems. I have mine to provide a solution too. Besides, it was nothing—
The cold breeze of the wind hits my skin as I felt dizzy and the next thing I knew, I was knocked out in the middle of the street.
~
Shizun was talking to the landlord of the pavilion to let us in for an inspection, but I am furious as the man kept on being stubborn and refusing. I wanted to help Shizun in persuading but I was busy with calming Mo Ran down but it was nowhere near there yet, "A-Ran, calm down.... You must become more rational, not only for us but for Shizun too, as well as you Xue Meng." I gently rubbed his back, fake smiled at him and turned to Xue Meng and did the same.
"Thank you, Shi Mei.... you're always the best at everything..." Mo Ran said as he returned the smile back at me but widely.
I suppressed the urge to puke in this situation. I don't want to break this facade that I've built up for years, just for Mo Ran to destroy everything that I've planned not only for Butterfly Bone Sect Beauty but also for my beloved Shizun too.
A few minutes later, Shizun alongside Xue Meng and Mo Ran came to a deal with the pavilion landlord that only they knew of it, we didn't ask the details and only trusted him out of our instinct. A few minutes later, a man collapsed on the ground and Shizun quickly went to examine what happened and checked for his pulses.
"He's still breathing... Let's carry him to our inn." Shizun commanded and we obeyed though Mo Ran seemed to be in deep thought so he just stood there before he was snapped out of his thoughts when Elder Yuheng. What could he be thinking right now? Better not be about Shizun or else I'll have the time of my life torturing him in the near future.
~
We arrived at the inn and gently laid down the man and I was asked by Shizun to guard over him and tell the guy that we sort of helped as he fell unconscious earlier on the street. Xue Meng and Mo Ran joined his company to settle things with the beauty pavilion landlord, I flashed them a smile and tiny waved at them, as Mo Ran usually waved his hand like a kid.
Soon, I was left with the man, his features resembling a prince but I'll firmly believe that wasn't the case at all, his sleeping face reminded me of Mo Ran's whom I despised this whole time. I slowly got off the bed when I was pulled on and hands wrapped around me. "What the?" I made an effort to remove myself from his grasp but it was tight.
"Mmmmm.....my anime....pillow....urgggghhh..." The man is talking while asleep and I was here trying to break free. "Gimme my... Genshin......pillow..."
I can't understand what he was talking about nor I'm interested in listening to this sleep talk of a stranger nor I'm guessing in what way I can finally run away from this situation.
He's not that tall but why is his strength strong?
I spun around only to be met face to face with him, he was awake now from the looks of it as he also didn't know why I was lying beside him and the next thing I knew that I was pushed away and fell on the ground. "Wha- what the? Who are you?" He was confused and I just crossed my arms and coldly replied,
"Your savior."
I saw his eyes twitched.
~
Savior my ass, I'll only believe you if my eyes were to be gauged out and my memories of past life forgets!
"Oh... Am I supposed to say thank you? Oh okay... Thank you- who might you be?" I tried to annoy him to see his reaction. Well, who can beat my curiosity other than myself?
All I could see was he clenched both of his fists and he looked at me in the eye and smiled, "Shi Mei, a disciple of Chu Wanning, the Elder Yuheng of Sisheng Peak."
"Oh nice meeting you-" I didn't know I was actually gesturing for a handshake and when I realized it, I retracted my hand.
The worst thing, he looked at me like I was an alien, trying to converse with him.
"My shizun and my fellow disciples are out right now and they asked me to take care of you for a while until you gain your consciousness." He said as he handed me porridge and I started eating it.
I do have intrusive thoughts piling up inside my head that I almost choked on my food. Who can blame me? Fans are erratic and nosy when it comes to their obsessions. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not a fan. I meant the ones that are still obsessed and rereading it all over again.
Of course it had to be the ultimate villain that I had to meet. Ugh.
"What happened to me? Did I faint or something?" I asked as I held my head as it throbs in pain.
"You fainted because of malnutrition but you're fine now." He said while he went somewhere and I waited.
After a few minutes he came back with a pouch and handed it to me, I looked inside and saw money. "Shizun wanted to give it to you, you must buy medicine with it."
I need medicine? Is there a pill or something along with that in this era? What. Dear God in the heavens, if you hear me please I want to go back to the modern world.
"There's medicine in shops nearby this area therefore you should be able to buy one for a stomachache."
Is this some kind of a scene in Danmei where the poor little side character gets bullied by the villain? If it's not then why is this guy seems demanding to me or I'm just really lost even after months of trying to fit myself here?
"Damn fuck. It is." I accidentally blurted making Shi Mei looked at me eerily in the eye.
Should I make an esca-
"What did you say?" Oh no.
"I said, I need to go home and I was worried about my friend." I stood up and was near by the door when I heard Shi Mei's voice clearly.
His voice sounded rough as he stated, "Did you think I would let you out after you said that?"
Afterwards, he grabbed my arm and dug his nails unto it making me yelp in pain. I tried to remove but he only went deeper, but as he was about to continue what he plans to do to me that I would not dare to know or I'll just piss myself, a creaking noise emanates from outside the room. He immediately retracted himself and wipes off his clothes as if I were a mere spec of dust that happened to be near of the O' Great himself.
"We're not finished." He said firmly, threatening me based on the tone that my ears heard, he would definitely not let me live. I forgot I was dealing with the Hua Binan's henchman, or the so called 'stepping stone' of the main villain of ERHA.
Chu Wanning and Mo Ran opened the door and they both saw the guy and Shi Mei like they just had an important conversation.
I nearly died from there, if weren't for the main characters that is.
Notes:
AHHHHHHHHHHHH! Finally an update! My recent activities have been piled up so much and my time to write has been affected as well. But I do hope that with this update you won't think that this fanfic would die in the very least that is.
