A Change of Fate

Summary:

Earth Prime Iron-Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther, and a badly wounded Thor along with Raiden, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade are stuck in Earth 199999, the world of the Avengers of the MCU right before their last battle with Thanos. Unknowingly, their presence caused ripples that led to the freedom of the true Kang the Conqueror.

Notes:

So at long last, I've finally uploaded the first chapter. Damn, it feels good. Thankfully, my writing seems to be getting back on track and I just needed a few days to let my muse rest. I've been slowly working on this chapter the past day or so and now, it is time for release. For anyone wondering, MCU Cap will be referred as Steve while Earth Prime Cap (who is an amalgamation of Comic and EMH cap, even imaging his voice actor from the latter as the voice of this cap) will be referred to as Captain America though I'll sometimes abbreviate it to Cap. Prime Iron Man is well... Iron-Man and MCU is Tony. Prime is Hulk and MCU is Professor Hulk though I'll sometimes call him Banner. MCU is Odinson and Prime is Thor. Similar pattern across the board once the other Avengers show up. All their Prime versions are their superhero name while the MCU has their actual name. It's mostly to differentiate their power scaling and at times, personality being closer to the comics and EMH.

Now, hope you all enjoy the story.

Chapter 1: Meeting

Chapter Text

Earth 199999, Avengers Compound

Captain America and Iron-Man stared at their alternate counterparts and the fat Thor, who looked more like big Lebowski than anything else. Hulk, Johnny Cage, Black Panther, Sonya Blade, and Raiden looked at them, unsure of what to think while a badly wounded Thor lay on the ground, motionless.

“How did you guys get in here?” Steve asked, cautious as he stared at Captain America.

“At ease, soldier.” Captain America. “We’re not intruders or trespassers. We’re just as confused as we are.”

“Then how exactly did you

“The battle of Asgard…” Raiden trailed off. Sonya looked at her Breach device, seeing it was damaged.

“Fuck.” Sonya grumbled, realizing they were stuck. Raiden still hadn’t learned the precise spells for opening portals between the different dimensions and from the looks of it, he wasn’t going to focus much of his strength on that but instead their Thor’s clearly weakened state.

“He needs medical attention!” Captain America said, he, Iron-Man and Raiden trying to pick up the Asgardian King.

Which was easier said than done given Thor was a 6’6 and 640 pounds of Aesir. They were both very strong (well, Raiden naturally was while Tony relied on his armor) but it wasn’t exactly comfortable and they had to be careful.

“Follow me.” Steve said, as they did so. Odinson merely stared at his counterpart, unsure of what to say or even think.

“What the hell?” Professor Hulk asked, seeing two First Avenger and Armored Avenger along with some unknown Asian guy in a bamboo hat, carrying what looked to be Thor.

“Clear the room, now!” Raiden ordered, putting Thor on the medical table.

“The hell’s going on?” Rocket Racoon asked as James Rhodes, Scott Lang and Clint Barton.

“Visitors. From another dimension it seems.” Tony grumbled.

“What do you mean another dimension?” Scott asked, baffled.

“It means exactly what it means, Mr. Lang.” T’Challa said.

“So the Multiverse theory is real?” Tony asked.

“Far more than you could even begin to realize, Tony.” T’Challa said.

“Don’t tell me you’re about to tell us your life story.” Tony said.

“No.” T’Challa said curtly, surprising Tony a little. “You may be the alternate of a good friend, but it is because I know you well, I will not share given your past mistakes.”

Tony swallowed, wondering if that that meant what he thought it meant. The Accords may have not been perfect but they still held some weight to them. They needed oversight.

Raiden hands glowed, lightning covering Thor as he began chanting in an unknown language.

“Is he going to make it?” Odinson asked, swallowing.

“I’m not sure.” Captain America admitted before his resolve turned steely. “But I know he won’t got out without a fight.”

Odinson nodded as Captain America turned to see this world’s God of Thunder.

“What happened to you?” Captain America asked, looking at him in concern.

Odinson swallowed, unsure of what to say for several moments.

“I didn’t go for the head the first time.” Odinson admitted after a moment, tears of anger and grief streaming down his cheeks.

Captain America’s eyes softened, placing a hand on Odinson’s shoulder. “I’m sure you did the best you could in the circumstances, Thor.” He knew that despite certain things, Thor cared deeply for people and his compassion was quite unspoken yet still commendable despite all he had suffered. It hurt seeing an alternate of a brother in arms in such a sad state.

“No. No I didn’t.” Odinson said, despite his mother’s words ringing in his head. He then proceeded to spill his guts about Thanos, his failure to save the remaining half of his people after Asgard’s destructions thanks to Hela forcing him to unleash Surtur, Heimdall and especially his brother, forging Stormbreaker, failing to stop Thanos from wiping half the population in the entire universe, killing him three weeks later after the Mad Titan had already destroyed the Infinity Stones and falling into a deep depression.

The First Avenger merely looked at him in sympathy, not even able to imagine all that pain and grief in such a short time, especially for a being who’s lived for so long.

“I can’t even imagine how you feel like right now.” Cap admitted. “But know that you still did the best you could under the circumstances.”

“Perhaps what my people need is a better king.” Odinson mused. “Valkyrie would certainly be a worthy choice.”

“Maybe… but you can’t simply dump that responsibility on her because you don’t want it.” T’Challa said, having heard their conversation. “It is your birth right and your people need you. Now more than ever.”

“How can I be a king if I can’t even save my home or the people I care about?” Odinson asked.

“Life isn’t about how hard you get hit, Thor. It’s about how hard you get hit and keep moving despite the odds.” Cap said. “That’s why you are an Avenger, Thor. A hero in my book just as much as everyone I’ve fought alongside with. And believe me, I’ve been to battle with men and women who’ve committed heinous actions in the past yet the sought to atone for their past misdeeds and be heroes. You may have failed, Thor but that doesn’t mean you should give up.”

Odinson said nothing, merely contemplating his words.

“And maybe a shower would help clear your mind.” Johnny suggested, making Sonya elbow him in the ribs.

“You know what?” Odinson clasped his hands cheerily. “That sounds like a wonderful idea, actually.” He left, going to take said advice at heart and take a shower. Maybe even changes clothes and wear something nice.

“How… how did you do that?” Rhodey asked, looking at Captain America in slight awe.

“Simple. He’s Captain America!” Scott pointed out.

“I just told him what he needed to hear.” Cap shrugged. “Now, where is Hulk?”

A roar was heard from afar as Professor Hulk crashed through several walls, landing near the Time Machine room.

“You killed Hulk! Punny Banner using his corpse as a puppet!” Hulk snarled.

“That isn’t what happened.” Professor Hulk tried to explain but The Gamma Monster wasn’t willing to listen, to lost in his rage.

“Hulk!” He turned around, seeing Captain America standing there. “Stand down.”

“He killed a Hulk!” Hulk growled.

“Let him explain himself.” Cap cautioned. Hulk growled, letting Professor Hulk stand on his two feet as Tony, in full Mark 85 armor, helped him up.

“You alright?” Tony asked.

“Try getting hit by a more powerful version of you.” Professor Hulk grumbled.

“Talk.” Hulk growled, arms crossed as he looked greatly impatient for an explanation.

“After the mess with Ultron in Sokovia, I or the big guy, left Earth. Thought they hated us after the mess with left in Africa thanks to Wanda’s mind games.” Banner explained. “For two years, he was the Hulk on Sakaar, fighting in Gladiatorial arenas for the Grandmaster.”

Hulk’s eyes widen while Iron-Man, who had been hearing the conversation thanks to his armor, winced, recalling his, Reed Richards, Charles Xavier, Black Bolt, and Hank Pym’s decision at the time. The dumbest decision they ever made that came back to bite them in the ass so hard.

“Do you remember if he ever met a woman there by the name of Caiera?” Hulk asked, a flicker of hope flaring in his heart.

“Not that I recall, sorry.” Banner said, sounding apologetic.

Hulk looked crushed for a moment before his face turned to one of indifference.

Banner then went on to explain the whole mess with Thor and the Asgardians and how Thanos beat Hulk one on one, making the Hulk scared.

“Then he isn’t a Hulk.” Hulk growled. “Hulk is strongest there is and if he’s scared to prove that, he’s just as weak as puny Banner.”

“I wish I could say that was just that but the sad fact was I treated him as more of a weapon rather than a person.” Banner admitted. “I’ve been denial ever since I did all of…” He motioned to himself. “… this but as time went on, I regret what I did. What I did to you.”

“Is there any chance he is still in inside of you?” Johnny asked.

“Doubtful.” Banner shrugged.

“We know a few good telepaths who can help.” Johnny suggested. “Once we get back, we can help out.”

“I don’t think we’ll need to go that far.” Cap said, an idea going through his head. He looked at his counterpart, motioning for him to speak somewhere with some privacy.

“What he’s thinking?” Tony asked.

“Something that might save us a trip.” Johnny said, having an inkling to what Cap was thinking. Not to mention it was best they spoke in privacy in order to avoid false hope.

“Then let us head on over to the common room.” Rhodey suggested. “Have a chat and all.”

T’Challa’s eyes narrowed, watching from afar. Something seemed off about the Colonel. He silently planted a trojan horse on their computers, wanting to know everything they had on records about the Skrulls and their dealings. He also filtered the search to include anything involving the Kree.

Raiden exited the room, exhausted. He had done his best to heal Thor’s more egregious wounds but he was still in a coma like state. It was startling similar to the Odinsleep. Or the Thorsleep, given the god of Thunder was the Allfather now and thus, the Odinforce was now the Thorforce.

He slumped on the door, Sonya Blade helping him stand.

“I am fine. The Battle of Asgard and speeding up Thor’s injuries drained me.” Raiden said. “But I’ll be alright.”

“Let’s hope so.” Sonya said. “Cause something tells me we’re about enter a shitstorm real soon.”

Raiden turned grim, knowing that if Sonya felt this way (and her instincts were rarely wrong), something was definitely going to happen. The only question was what exactly?

“Why do you think it is?” Raiden asked.

“Given they used Time Travel to get the stones, what’s to say someone wouldn’t try to bring the one who wanted them most here?” Sonya suggested as Raiden looked even grimmer. Dealing with Thanos was the last they needed, especially one who could potentially be blood lusted and wish revenge on those that attempted to undo his future self’s actions.

“Then it’s a good thing I installed a Trojan Horse in their computers.” T’Challa said. “Something is off about this world’s War Machine and I do not like it.”

The three of them shared a look if this world had been in the process of going through their own ‘Secret Invasion’, as they referred to the Skrulls attempted to conquer Earth.

Nebula entered her future self’s room in the Compound, scowling like she usually did but even worse this time. She couldn’t have even begin to consider the fact Alternate versions of several of the Avengers along with three others she did not recognize having arrived right before her plan went into motion in bringing her Father and his ship here.

She took a deep breath, knowing that she’ll simply have to be a little bit more patient. It wasn’t her strong suit per say but she would do whatever it took to please her father. Maybe, if she succeeds, he’d finally consider her his favored daughter instead of Gamora.

She left, going to see if the Time Machine room was cleared.

Unknown Location

Thor didn’t know what to think as he walked around. This wasn’t Valhalla or Hel, like he originally believed he was. Was he in some kind of purgatory?

“Not exactly.” He whirled around, eyes widening as they laid upon two figures he did not believe he would ever see again unless in death.

“Mother? Father?”

Both his parents smiled.

“I think it’s time we had a long overdue conversation.” Frigga said, smiling warmly at Thor. He hugged her, a few tears streaming down his cheeks.

“You have no idea how much I missed you.” Thor said, wiping his tears. “The both of you.”

Chapter Text

Avengers Compound

Captain America entered the room his counterpart was in, staring at Peggy’s photo.

“Still think about her?” He inquired neutrally. He had long ago made peace with the fact Peggy wasn’t perfect and had allowed HYDRA to infest within S.H.I.E.L.D. Sure, there had been the occasional HYDRA group that popped up, but the real rot had been within SHIELD and she had allowed Zola to let it fester and grow. Even if she didn’t know about it, she had to have suspected bringing in Arnim Zola would have led to disastrous consequences.

“These past five years especially, yeah.” Steve admitted.

“It’s time to move on, soldier.” Captain America said. “Being in the past only leads to more heartbreak. Trust me, I know the feeling.”

Steve looked at the picture, running his thumb on it before closing it, for good.

“You’re right.” Steve sighed. “Guess a part of me was still living in the past even after all these years.”

“It’s hard letting go but it’s the only way you can move on.” Captain America said before inquiring: “Have you talked to Sharon?”

“No. Haven’t heard from since Thanos snap. I tried looking for her but found nothing.” Steve replied.

Captain America said nothing, eyes narrowing in suspicion. Given his Sharon went on the run for a while after the whole Registration Act and Civil War but then the whole mess with Norman forming the Dark Avengers and such happened that still gave him a headache. Frankly, he wonders how he survived the whole mess but moving on, he wonders if this world Sharon went to the same places his Sharon did.

“I’d recommend you talk to Natasha. Have her go to Madripoor and search for her there.” Captain America suggested, making Steve flinch. His eyes narrowed. “Where is Nat?”

“She’s… she’s dead.” Steve said after a moment. “She died getting the Soul Stone during our Time Heist.”

Captain America felt as if a freaking Kryptonian had punched him in the gut. Nat… Nat was dead?

“No… not her.” Captain America breathed.

“I wish it was some ruse, but it isn’t. She’s gone.” Steve said.

Captain America closed his eyes. “If she died getting the Soul Stone, we might have chance to bring her back.”

Steve looked confused. “How?”

“I’ll to talk to the others but there may be a way.” Captain America said knowingly. “Now, do you recall serving with someone by the name of James Howlett in the army during World War 2?”

“Lucky Jim?” Steve recalled, confused. He and his brother, Victor, were part of the Howling Commandos for some time, going on some dangerous missions behind enemy lines. “Why do you ask?”

“Ever heard the term mutant?” Captain America merely asked.

“No.” Steve shook his head. “What’s that got to do with anything?”

“The world’s a lot bigger than you might think, soldier. It’s about to get a whole lot bigger for you.” Captain America said simply.

“And this is the lab?” Iron-Man asked as Tony showed him around.

“Yeah, this is it.” Tony said. He crossed his arms over his chest. “Not up to your standards.”

“Nope. Mine’s bigger.” Iron-Man said, flashing him a smirk. He had taken of his helmet, allowing them to see how similar yet different he looked. He looked younger than Tony but still had a more experienced glint in his eyes that spoke of years of fighting as the Armored Avenger.

Tony huffed. “Yeah, I can imagine. The Compound in your world is probably bigger than ours.”

“The Compound?” Iron-Man raised an eyebrow. “We still have the Tower and the Mansion.”

“The Mansion?” Tony asked, confused.

“Yeah. Dad’s home. You don’t remember?” Iron-Man asked.

“No.” Tony shook his head. “Certainly would have known if he had one but to my knowledge, there never was a Mansion under the Stark. Except the old one outside the City Limits.”

“You may want to look into that.” Iron-man said. “Better to have multiple fall back bases incase one of them if not several are compromised.”

Tony blinked, having never even considered the idea. “Huh… not a bad idea.”

“So, what’s with you and Cap?” Iron-Man sensing some hesitancy and resentment. He had a hunch that he wasn’t going to like it.

Tony sighed. “Not my proudest moment. The Sokovia Accords leading to the Avengers breaking up. It’s why we lost.” He barely kept the bitterness out of his voice but his counterpart could tell.

“So, who you think was at fault for that whole mess?” Iron-Man asked calmly, already having an inkling. It took Cap nearly dying to admit the fact he was wrong.

“I’ll admit I didn’t handle it the best way but what we needed was a suit of armor around the world.” Tony said, thinking if anyone could understand him, it was a version of him. “I

“That sounds an awful lot like Ultron.” Iron-Man said, feeling a shudder go down his spine thinking of the android. Especially when he was responsible for Hank Pym and Hal Jordan’s deaths.

“Yeah but he was an error in judgement. The Scepter didn’t work the way me and Bruce tried to make it work.” Tony said dismissively.

“Error in judgment?” Iron-Man echoed, disbelief lacing his voice. “Do you have any idea how many people Ultron has killed in my universe? How Hank Pym, the man who created him, was racked with guilt for years due to creating one of our most dangerous enemies and has even won in at least two timelines that we know of? Are you that fucking blind to what Ultron was? To the countless people he slaughtered?”

“Hey, cool down. I just said he was a mistake.” Tony said defensively.

“Really? Cause I don’t see you racked with guilt every time I mention his name.” Iron-Man retorted. “The mere mention of Ultron at times sent Hank into a Panic Attack and if not, he would be racked with so much guilt. In the end, that’s what killed him during our final battle with Ultron. He died stopping him.”

Tony’s eyes widen in shock. He swallowed, unsure of what to say. “Sorry… foot in mouth.”

Iron-Man took a deep breath. “Don’t make excuses and just admit you were wrong. Had to learn that lesson the hard way. Several times.”

“Mind if I ask how?” Tony inquired.

“Let’s just say how stupid it was for me and a friend of mine, Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic, to clone Thor and parade him around as if he were the real Thor while he dealt with Asgard’s destruction thanks to his evil older sister who also may or may not be his niece if you believe the Norse myths and two of Asgard’s ancient enemies in Surtur and Mangog.” Iron-Man explained. “Trust me, it’s a mess to explain it all.”

“I can imagine.” Tony shook his head, having heard even grappling with what his counterpart just told him.

“No, about these Accords.” Iron-Man said slowly and for some reason, Tony felt the room temperature drop. “Who do you still feel about them?”

Tony swallowed. “I think they still hold their merit and oversight isn’t a bad thing for us. Keeping us in check.”

Iron-Man said nothing, merely staring at Tony with an indecipherable expression.

“Where’s your armor?” Iron-Man asked.

Tony tapped his chest, motioning to the Nanite housing unit. He activated it, feeling the armor encasing him.

Iron-Man smirked and unlike the teasing smirk he had before, this one sent chills down his spine.

“Good. Saves me the trouble of waiting.” Iron-Man’s helmet slid on and before Tony could blink, Iron-Man flew at him, crashing through the wall.

The facility shook slightly, making everyone look in confusion and worried.

“Bruce. Rocket. Get the stones ready.” Steve ordered as he and Captain America ran of to see the commotion.

The two Men out of Time walked into the hall, seeing both Billionaires going at it.

Tony was losing, badly. His armor, while powerful in its own right, was nothing compared to the one Iron-Man wore, which was capable of tanking hits from the likes of Thor and the Hulk should the need arise.

“You aren’t gonna help?” Rhodey asked as he Scott and Clint entered the room, seeing the brawl.

Hulk shrugged, watching the fight with a bored expression.

“I mean… he kind of deserves it.” Clint remarked.

“Yup. I know the type of ass hole Stark can be.” Johnny remarked.

“How so?” Scott asked.

“Because I was that kind of asshole.” Johnny said. “Becoming a soldier, husband and father can humble a guy real quick.”

“Yeah, I know the feeling.” Clint said, a pang of grief in his heart at the thought of his wife and kids.

Johnny smiled in assurance, patting his shoulder. “We’ll get them back.”

“How can you be so sure?” Clint asked. “I mean, Nat’s dead. Gave up her life for that damn stone.”

“It’s going to work cause I’ve seen some miracles in my time.” Johnny said. “Not to mention you guys are Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for a damn good reason.”

“Tony, stand down!” Captain America ordered, standing in front of his friend.

“Sorry, Cap but my alternate needs a lesson in humility.” Iron-Man stated.

“Maybe so but not now.” Captain America said. “Stand down.”

Iron-Man, despite his helmet, clearly did not want to but did so begrudgingly.

Captain America placed a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “I know you still feel guilty about all of that, Tony but I have forgiven you. You know that, right?”

“Still doesn’t exactly help with the nightmares, Cap.” Iron-Man grumbled.

Tony’s helmet slid off, surprised at the interaction between the two.

“You alright?” Steve asked in concern.

“Yeah.” Tony swallowed.

“Hmm… could have used more smashing.” Hulk remarked, earning a look from Iron-Man and Captain America that screamed ‘Really?’.

“Hey so um… the stones are ready.” Rocket said, walking into the room, looking at them in a hint of awkwardness.

“Thank you, Rocket.” Steve said.

Earth Prime, Avengers Tower

Falcon, White Wolf (Bucky Barnes) and Black Widow stood on the Avengers Tower helipad, awaiting for the arrivals.

“You really sure we needed to call them?” White Wolf asked.

“You never know when he can use the help. Not to mention we haven’t seem them in years. We needed to do this, sooner or later.” Falcon said.

“Eyes up boys.” Black Widow remarked as the Milano carefully landed on the helipad. Out of the ship, stepped out Star Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Racoon, Nebula and Mantis.

“Hey guys. Been a while.” Star Lord said, shaking hands with the Russian. “It’s been hectic these past few years. Especially with the mess left after we took care of Magus. Warlock’s back in his home, recovering.”

“Glad to hear but we didn’t just call you guys to chit chat.” Falcon said.

“Figured as such.” Gamora said. “Lead the way.”

The entered the Tower, entering the debrief room.

“So, when are you selling me that arm?” Rocket asked, looking at it greedily.

“Never happening, Rocket.” White Wolf grumbled, contemplating the idea of strangling the inventor but ultimately decided against it.

“A lot’s happened these past few years on Earth. More than you could even imagine.” Black Widow said.

“Well given I’m part Spartoi, was raised by Ravagers, my girlfriend and her sister are Thanos only relatively sane children, Drax is well… Drax, and I have a walking, talking tree and Raccoon for teammates, not much can surprise me.” Star-Lord said.

“Not even a taste of the divine, Peter Quill.” Everyone (except the three Avengers), jumped, aiming their weapons at him. “At ease. It’s not like those things will hurt me or anything.”

“Who is this delusional human think he is?” Drax asked.

“Human?” Lucifer asked. “I’m Lucifer Bloody Morningstar. The Devil himself.”

“Wait, what?” Star-Lord sputtered, stumped. “As in the actual devil?” The Human/Spartoi hybrid had never been the most religious and neither had his mother been but even still, they occasional went to Church with the rest of her extended family every so often. Mostly on Holidays like Christmas.

“Yes, Peter Quill. Now please, sit down because this is going to be a very bloody long explanation.” Lucifer said. “And quite frankly, I need a little pick me up before we continue.” While he had gone sober (not that it affected him per say but he’d rather not set a bad example for his unborn child), he still felt a tiny need for a drink every so often.

“We have some tea or coffee in the kitchen if you want.” Black Widow offered.

“I was thinking something along the lines of the hair of the dog.” Lucifer said, smirking at the Russian’s eyeroll.

“How can we know you say you are? Rocket said, unconvinced.

“Subject 89P13 from Halfworld within the Kree Empire.” Lucifer said without blinking. He pointed a finger at Drax. “Wife and daughter’s name were Hovat and Kamaria respectively. Speaking of, what was her name again? Lylla, right?”

Rocket said nothing, sitting back down solemnly as those memories flooded back.

‘Not now… not now!’ Rocket growled internally, shoving them back into a tiny, deep, dark corner of his mind.

Lucifer said nothing. “So, anymore proof? Or do you want me to use my mojo?”

“I think that’s enough proof, Lucifer.” Falcon said diplomatically.

“Well then, I think it’s time we had a discussion to what it’s been going on this rock.” Lucifer said cheerily.

Earth 199999, Avengers Compound

Nebula entered the Time Machine room. She looked around, making sure no one saw her or that anyone was around.

Sonya Blade appeared behind her, grabbing in a choke hold. Only a handful of choices were left and having a discussion with T’Challa and Raiden, the three of them came to the conclusion that it was Nebula. Especially when they saw footage of how despite her cold attitude, she was pretty close to the remaining Avengers for the last five years. Yet she seemed detached ever since she came back. Given Thanos history of his cunning, the dots were easy to connect.

“Had a feeling it be you.” Sonya growled. Nebula headbutted her, pushing her off before kicking her, making hit the floor hard.

“How did you figure it out?” Nebula asked. She felt claws on her back, not far from her spine. An EMP went of in them, shutting down her weapons.

“History with your father made it quite simple.” Black Panther said, burying his claws deeper her back. “Not to mention our history with subterfuge and deception merely added more fuel to the fire. Especially after the Skrulls attempt to take over us.”

“Your father will never succeed in his goals.” Raiden said. “He will fail as has everyone of his ilk. Though it is not too late for you, Nebula.”

Space, 2014

Thanos sat calmly on his throne, patiently awaiting for Nebula to send them through.

“Sire?” Ebony Maw entered the room with Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive, bowing before their leader.

“My children. It would seem Nebula has not completed her task.”

“She has most likely failed.” Ebony Maw said coldly.

“Perhaps she simply need to wait a while longer for her to send us through without arousing suspicion.” Gamora said in defense of her sister.

“And if she has failed?” Proxima raised a questioning eyebrow.

“She won’t.” Gamora said firmly.

“Her history suggests otherwise.” Corvus said coolly.

“Enough.” Thanos said sternly. “We shall wait for Nebula to complete her task. I believe she will succeed.”

“She would have had it not been for factors beyond her control.” They all looked to see a man sitting a floating chair, wearing green and purple armor, face covered in blue.

“Who are you?” Thanos asked calmly as his Children looked ready for battle.

“I am Kang the Conqueror.” Kang said. “And I have an offer you may be intrigued by, Mad Titan.”

“You stand in the presence of the almighty, Thanos.” Ebony Maw said. “It would be most wise to bow before him.”

“I do not bow to a being whose existence is a footnote in the grand scheme of time and history.” Kang said coldly. “What I offer is the opportunity for you to exact vengeance upon the Avengers trying to undo your work and to not become a footnote in history.” He had done the research. His wife nor his bloodline had no victims of Thanos snap in during 2018 to 2023 and such, undoing it would change nothing.

“And what do you wish for in return?” Thanos asked, knowing those who offered their services or favors always wanted a favor back.

“For you to further debilitate the Kree and the Skrull empires.” Kang said. “In this time, you are the only being who can achieve to do so.”

“Why would I lead them to ruin?” Thanos asked with a raised eyebrow. “They seem to be doing that themselves whether their own conflict. And Ronan’s hatred for the Nova Empire. “Though Ronan acting like an immature child, he was admittedly a little bit tempted.

“Allow me to show you.” Kang said, offering his hand to the Mad Titan.

Thanos stood from his throne, putting on his helmet and carrying the Thanoscopter.

“Sire?” His children asked.

“I will be alright. Until I have returned, you are in charge, Gamora.” Thanos said, looking at his daughter, his clear favorite.

“Yes, father.” Gamora bowed, humbled on the outside though she recoiled in disgust on the outside.

Thanos took Kang’s offered hand and in a blink, the two were gone.

Notes:

And here we are with another chapter. So let's get into it.

We have some further expansion one the Earth prime marvel history, taking heavy comic inspiration with the mention of Norman and his Dark Avengers. As for the bit with Cap dead post Civil War, it was Lucifer who took Hela's place during that time as Hela is Thor's sister and died due to Asgard's destruction along with Mangog thanks to Surtur. I think it makes that two enemies of Odin in Mangog and Hela would work together, especially with the Havoc they could cause and their shared hatred of Odin.

We also get a hint of the X-Men of Earth 199999. That's gonna be a fun surprise.

And of course, Iron-Man gave his counterpart a tongue lashing and then soon turned into an actual confrontation. Give his stats are closer to the comics, Iron-Man wins against Tony, who loses badly.

We also get a glimpse of the Earth Prime Guardians of the Galaxy. As you can see, they are basically the Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy game version, which while I have not played, I have seen the cutscenes and do eventually plan on getting my hands on it.

Thanos and Kang working together? Well, this should prove interesting. Until then, see you all next time.

Earth Prime, Avengers Tower

Star Lord swallowed, walking to the balcony. He just gotten the full rundown from the last nearly 3 years. So much had happened and he had missed all of it. It felt so odd that there was a dimension where the Lantern Corps and Cybertronians didn’t exist in his time. Hell, he had even worked with a few of them when he was with the Ravagers and later on, with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

“Must be shock to the system right.” White Wolf said knowingly.

Star Lord chuckled mirthlessly. “Like you wouldn’t believe. And her I thought be the heir to the Spartoi Empire was a big shock.”

“I’m technically the adopted child of the former Wakandan Queen, so I kind of get where you’re coming from.” White Wolf admitted. “Though after befriending gods, aliens, sorcerers, ninjas, mutants, metahumans and more, the universe kind of stops surprising you.”

“I lead a group consisting of an empath, a victim of Thanos tyranny along with his two daughters, a walking, talking tree and raccoon.” Star Lord said. “I’ve fought alongside and against some evil and powerful bastards. And yet… this Anti-Monitor is gonna show his ugly mug and destroy the entire multiverse and there is nothing we could do to stop it.”

“Why do you think Barry and Marc did what they did?” White Wolf raised an eyebrow. “They gave us a fighting chance and given how our numbers have grown not just in our Earth but the ones we’ve allied with. Frankly, I think we might get even more world’s to help out before Crisis rolls around.”

“When did you say it was supposed to happen?” Star Lord inquired.

“April 25th, 2024. It was how the original timeline before Eobard Thawne killed Barry’s mother, shattering it and allowing the Time Masters do with it as they wish.” White Wolf explained. “It’s January 2022, which means we have two years to prepare.”

“How many of us are there exactly?” Star Lord asked.

“Outside of the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four from our own world? The Justice League, the Titans, the Spardas and their allies, the Autobots, Raiden, the Lin Kuei, Special Forces, Shirai Ryu, certain supervillains like Black Adam, Doctor Doom, Ocean Master and Killmonger have agreed to work with us and a few others. As for the other worlds, anthropomorphic animals who are very good at Kung Fu, an alternate of the Autobots, The Jedi Order and the Rebel Alliance on two separate dimensions, every Power Ranger up until now, the remaining Witchers and Lodge of Sorceress and at least one alternate of the Justice League and their dimension.”

“Why do you say at least one?” Star Lord asked. “Don’t tell me there’s more.”

“From what they’ve told us over the years, they’ve had their run ins with alternate dimensions and counterparts quite frequently.” White Wolf said.

“Damn… I missed so much these past few years.” Star Lord lamented.

“Yeah but we need help to get things under control. Sorry we didn’t contact you guys sooner but things have been pretty hectic since the Multiverse War. Our worlds merging and getting used to it followed by Darkseid’s invasion, Daegon, White Dragon and the remaining Rinshi crashing Batman and Catwoman’s wedding, Ultron, Megatron, Venjix, Arbiter, Gorr and some evil version of Ares and Odin. It’s been a lot.”

“Geez, no wonder things went radio silent.” Star Lord said. He then looked contemplative. “Is there any chance my um… grandfather would still be alive?”

White Wolf stared at him sympathetically. “Maybe… but it is unlikely. Give me his name and I’ll have Nat ask for a few favors.”

“Thanks. It’s just… all this, a guy can’t help but wonder…”

“I get it. Trust me.” White Wolf said with a nod. “Though on another note, we would like for you guys to track down Eros and any Eternals you may find along with Adam Warlock. Some additional firepower couldn’t hurt to have.”

“I’ll look around and give them the run down of the situation.” Star Lord said with a nod. “And um… thanks.”

“Thank me when we all make it out alive out of this, Quill.” White Wolf said. “Cause I get the feeling these next two years and three months are going to be hell for us all.”

Earth 199999, year: 2045, New York

Thanos walked through the barren wasteland. He looked up at the sun, seeing it had been casualty of some giant battle.

“This is what the Kree and Skrulls battle lead to?” Thanos asked knowingly.

“Not just them. But the destruction of the Earth that came at the hands of Galactus once his herald, Norrin Raad, laid eyes upon the barren world.” Kang explained as Thanos eyes widen. He had heard of the Devourer of Worlds and is one of a very select few beings he never wished to go battle, even with all six infinity stones. Odin, the Ancient One and his brother, Eros, had been among that list as well.

“Now you see the destruction that will come due to your failure. Not because the ones you had dusted returned but because of the presence of one man beyond 2023 caused a change that caused my timeline to implode.” Kang explained.

“How is that possible?” Thanos asked.

“There are many variants of me. One in particular founded the TVA as a way to keep in check the many timelines, creating the so-called sacred timeline. He and the rest of my variants banished because my 'extreme' methods due to my wife, Ravonna Renslayer’s death thanks to the collapse of my time. However, I managed to free myself and now wish to repair the damage and save my wife.”

“But how is that one man changing the course of said timeline able to allow you to repair it?”

“Because I come from a timeline where all remained much the same as the current one expect for one little detail. Steve Rogers, Captain America, continued being the Leader of the Avengers past 2023, causing the collapse of my time when he should have gone back in time to be with Peggy Carter.” Kang explained. “Now all I live for is to end the Captain’s life and prepare them for the coming horrors of the Kree, the Skrulls, Galactus but most importantly… Mobius.”

“Mobius?” Thanos inquired, wondering who that could be. He was very knowledgeable on cosmic beings but he could admit that even his knowledge was finite despite his best attempts.

“One of the oldest and most powerful beings in the entire multiverse. He wishes to bathe the Multiverse in a wave of Anti-Matter, destroying untold billions and replace it all with his own Anti-Matter universe, born out of the ashes of our world.” Kang informed him.

“And how do you expect to beat this Mobius?” Thanos asked. “Because from all the power you seem to wield seems mostly on your highly advanced technology. Even beyond what I have seen in my time to an extent.”

“Simple. I plan to advance Earth’s technology and weaponry once I have conquered it.” Kang said. “As for you, your life’s goal will succeed and you will be able to rest on a grateful universe.”

Thanos said nothing, merely mulling over the man’s words carefully.

“Unfortunately, my original goal has changed.” Thanos said, making Kang raise an eyebrow. “For you see, as long as those remember what was, there will always be those are unable to accept what can be.”

“Do you think the Captain will be the only I kill?” Kang raised an eyebrow. “The Avengers present a threat far too great to my plans. They must be wiped out from existence.”

“Then allow me to end them myself.” Thanos said. “If I fail, I will at least have weakened them for you. If I succeed, you will barely have to lift a finger.”

Kang nodded, offering his hand for the Mad Titan to shake.

Thanos shook his hand, a deadly alliance now forged between the two.

“Now to return to your time.” Kang said. “Once you are in 2023, retrieve the stones. And then wipe the remaining Avengers along with the Kree and the Skrulls from existence.”

In a flash of light, the two were gone, leaving behind this barren wasteland of a planet.

Avengers Compound, Year: 2023

A blast sent Raiden crashing through the window.

“You should know better than that, Haokah.” Kang said, referencing what Nightwolf calls him.

Black Panther and Sonya’s eyes widen in shock.

“Kang?” Black Panther asked. “Here? Now?” Kang fired at the two, blasting them away.

“Indeed, King T’Challa. And I know of your Earth’s designation. Your history with the divine. And most importantly, the coming Crisis.” Kang the Conqueror said, hovering over the two. Using his telekinesis, he threw the King of Wakanda and Special Forces General into the wall. He then turned to look at Nebula. “Bring Thanos here. I have fulfilled my end.”

Raiden flew at him, flying through the facility.

“King T’Challa, General Blade, warn the others!” Raiden shouted, fighting off Kang. “I will hold him off as best I can.” While at full strength, he could have dealt with the Conqueror, the battle of Asgard and healing Thor to the point he did severely weaken him. But he could still fight long enough to buy time.

Raiden went for a kick to his side then his head but Kang blocked them. He retaliated with his own rapid-fire punches, forcing Raiden to block. He then fired a beam from his hand as Raiden fired his lightning, the two in a lock.

After a moment of indecision, Black Panther and Sonya ran towards the room where they were about to use the Infinity stones, forgetting about Nebula in that moment as she brought the Sanctuary II to this time.

“Please, just please… let me do something good.” Odinson begged, having cleaned his hair and clothes up, looking much better despite his size.

“I’ll do it.” Hulk grunted, walking over to it.

“You sure big guy?” Tony asked.

“You’re all too weak to handle it. Especially him.” Hulk said, pointing a finger at Professor Hulk, who rolled his eyes at the pettiness from his counterpart. “Besides, I’m the strongest one there is.”

“Sonya?” Johnny saw his wife and the King of Wakanda enter the room.

“Kang the Conqueror from this dimension is here!” Black Panther informed them all grimly.

“Raiden is holding him off but it won’t be long.” Sonya added.

“All the more reason to get to it.” Rocket mused as Odinson stood in front of him. Iron-Man, Tony, Professor Hulk and War Machine covered the more exposed members.

“Okay, everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago you’re just bring them back to now, today.” Tony said, sounding anxious. He needed Morgan to stay. “Don’t change anything from the last five years.”

“I’m not an idiot, Stark. I know what I’m doing.” Hulk growled, holding the Gauntlet in his hands.

“FRIDAY, do me a favor and activate Barn Door Protocol, will ya?” Tony asked. The A.I. did as ordered, activating the blast doors in case of an emergency.

Hulk huffed, putting the Gauntlet. The energy surged through his arm, making him grit his teeth in pain.

Nebula smiled as the Sanctuary II crashed roof, arriving in 2023.

Raiden’s eyes widen in horror, looking at Kang. “What have you done?”

“Correcting the timeline.” Kang said, firing at Raiden, who crashed into the wall.

“You are just as vile as Kronika, Conqueror.” Raiden growled. “You will pay for your crimes. For bringing the Mad Titan to this time.”

“You may try and as you will, Thunder God but you will fail.” Kang said.

“I have heard those more times than the generations I have seen, Nathaniel Richards.” Raiden said, making the Descendant of Reed Richards raise an eyebrow.

“Let us see if you are able to, Haokah.” Kang tapped a button as several yellow energy orbs hit Raiden, electrocuting him.

Raiden’s body sissled with the electricity, groaning. Kang fired a repulsor beam from his hand, knocking out the Thunder God. He then sat on his throne, tapping a few buttons before disappearing in a flash of light.

“Take it off! Take it off!” Odinson said, looking concerned.

“Wait!” Captain America said, trusting him. “Hulk, you alright?”

“Talk to me, Jolly Green.” Iron-Man said, concerned.

Hulk hissed. “Black Bolt’s screams hurt more than this.” He raised his hand in the air. Before anyone could blink, the Incredible Hulk snapped his fingers.

Notes:

Another update. Took me a bit but I managed to finish relatively quickly. Next chapter has some headway so there is that. Also have a chapter finished for 'Trials of Heroism' I've been working intermittently for a while now. I'll most likely post once I'm done with this one.

So, Kang and Thanos are working together. How things will go will show in the coming chapters. I had planned for this to be a tad longer but it's possible I might shorten it to move on to 'Operation: Lexcorp', which I'm very much excited to work on at long last. I've partially the first chapter in advance but never mad much headway. Once I get to the final 2 chapters for this story, I'm going straight for it and then taking some time off to avoid burn out while slowly working 'Tournament Reborn'. This is my plan set in stone. Unfortunately, after much deliberation, I will not be doing the Black Panther focused story I had planned with MCU Namor as an antagonist. Instead, I'll introduce him through 'Heroic Interludes' along with Black Bolt, who I have not touched upon in this series but should have long ago. Same with the characters mentioned like Adam Warlock.

And the snap occurred, bringing back those lost. As for why I haven't given Thor any attention, next chapter will focus on him quite a bit. For now, see you all next time.

Chapter 4: Let's kill him properly this time

Chapter Text

Lorna Dane, known to many as Polaris, daughter of the master of magnetism himself, Magneto, sat on her bed listening to ‘Rain’ by Grandson feat Jessie Reyez, playing with her medal. She looked at her clock, realizing what time it was. She got up, grabbing a water bottle from her night stand and walked over to her drawer. She opened it and grabbed her pills, swallowing them before taking a large sip of water.

She then turns to see Dawn, her Jack Russell terrier, barking. She smiles, kneeling down to pet her.

“Good girl.” She coed, seeing Dawn the scratches.

The doorbell rang, earning her attention. She walked to the door, looking through the key hole, seeing her half-sister.

She smirked before walking over to her box of toys and memories, picking out a whoopie cushion, placing it on a chair.

Lorna walked back to the door, opening it.

“Hi.” Lorna greeted.

“Hi.” Wanda greeted back.

“Sorry for taking a while. I was getting the house somewhat presentable.” Lorna said apologetically. “Want to come in?”

“Sure.” Wanda entered the house, looking around it. It looked newer that the last time she was here.

“I refurbished the place if that’s what you are wondering.” Lorna explained, seeing her half sister’s face.

Dawn runs up to Wanda, sitting near her.

“And who is this?” Wanda inquired, looking at the dog’s tail wagging.

“Dawn, my um… dog.” Lorna replied. Wanda kneeled, giving Dawn a few scratches on the head. Lorna whistled, a silent command for Dawn to go to bed.

“You wanna take a seat?” Lorna asked. Wanda nodded, sitting down as the whoopee cushion went off.

Lorna smirked as Wanda got up from her seat & grabbed the cushion, looking at her half-sister in annoyance.

Lorna shrugged. “Couldn't resist.”

‘Very funny.’ Wanda mentally mused, throwing the whoopie cushion at Lorna, who barely caught it but placed it down on the table in front of them.

“Where did you get Dawn?” Wanda inquired, curious.

“Uh, nothing special. My Aunt & Uncle gave her to me as a present.” Lorna said in lieu of explanation. She then asked: “So uh what did you want to talk about?”

“It’s about Erik” Wanda said, causing Lorna to perk up.

“You mean Dad.” She said but seeing the look of annoyance on Wanda face, Lorna looked sheepish. “Sorry.”

“It’s okay.” Wanda said sincerely before moving. “Anyway, I’ve been talking to him.”

“About what?” Lorna asked

“Me and Pietro.” Wanda replied.

“How bad did it get between you and him?” Lorna asked carefully, expecting an to hear about all out brawl that destroyed half the X-Mansion or five city blocks wherever they met.

“Not as bad as I thought.” Wanda revealed, surprising her half-sister.

“Your shitting me.” Lorna said in disbelief, not even able to believe the very notion of them having a civil conversation instead of them arguing & causing an earthquake with their powers. Which had happened once or twice. Even Thor and Wonder Man did a double take whenever they considered stopping it.

“The same cannot be said about Pietro.” Wanda sighed, recalling her intense argument with her twin.

“Can't say I blame him.” Lorna remarked, wincing at the look Wanda shot her. She sighed. “Let me guess? You think I have rose tinted glasses when it comes to him because I am his favorite.” She added bluntly.

Wanda doesn’t answer, unable to admit it but seeing the look in her eyes, she does believe in that sentiment.

“Let me make this clear. I care about him, but I am not blind to how he treated me and the two of you so don’t’ come here thinking that I am his bootlicker!” Lorna snarled, losing her temper & causing her powers to be out of control for a moment, creating a mess in her apartment. She took a deep breathing, reigning her temper in. Looking around at the mess she just made, she sighed.

“I am sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.” She apologized as Dawn walked over to her, sitting on her lap, going to comfort her.

It's okay.” Wanda said, shamefaced as the reaction she caused.

A few moments of awkward silenced between the two daughters of the Master of Magnetism.

“You wanna go out just to two of us?” Wanda asked.

“Yeah sure.” Lorna agreed, wanting to get out of the apartment for a while.

“Let me fix that.” Wanda said, waving her hand to clean up the mess.

“Neat.” Lorna mused. “And thanks.”

“Don’t mention it.”

Earth 199999, Avengers Compound

Hulk dropped the gauntlet, holding his right arm as Captain America and Black Panther went to his side.

“How bad is it?” Johnny asked in concern.

“It’ll take some time to heal.” Black Panther said, looking at the arm.

Hulk grinned. “Told you I’m the strongest one there is.”

“That you are, soldier.” Captain America said, patting his shoulder, smiling at him.

“How the hell did you even survive that?” Professor Hulk asked.

“I’ve fought worse. A lot worse.” Hulk said as the WWII Vet and Wakanda helped him up.

“Damn, you’re something else.” Rocket mused.

“Did it work?” Hulk inquired as the blast doors dispersed.

Scott Lang walked outside, looking at the small garden, seeing the birds chirping.

Clint Barton’s phone vibrated, earning the Archer’s attention. He walked over to it, eyes widening at the contact on display. He grabbed the phone, answering the phone.

“Honey.” Clint choked back a sob.

Clint?” Laura asked, concerned for her husband on the other end.

“Honey.” Clint repeated, unable to believe that he was hearing his wife’s voice. He missed so much.

“Guys…” Scott breathed, smiling as he stared at the birds chirping. “I think it worked.”

Everyone looked as the sky suddenly darkened as suddenly, missiles were fired upon the place, crumbling the Compound, everyone slipping through the cracks.

Hulk growled, holding the collapsing roof with one arm as his right arm was still healing.

“I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.” Rocket said, rubble on top of him.

Rhodey groaned. “Canopy, Canopy, Canopy.” His armored opened but his leg braces were damaged, forcing him to crawl.

“Get out of here.” Hulk growled. Professor Hulk showed, grabbing Rhodey while freeing Rocket.

“Rhodey! Rocket!” Was all Professor Hulk was able to say before water crashed into them, beginning to drown them.

Mayday, mayday? Does anyone copy?” Scott heard on the comms. He awoke from the rubble. “We’re on the lower level, it’s flooding!

“What? What?” Scott asked Rhodey repeated that he and the others were drowning. He then rushed towards them, going to help.

Clint grunted, getting up.

Sonya offered a hand to stand, helping him up. They looked around, turning in lights in their wrist.

“Cap?” Clint called out.

Sonya saw the Gauntlet, grabbing it when they heard a quiet growl.

Clint turned around, firing an arrow that allowed him to see creatures walking in the walls.

“Outriders.” Sonya noted.

“Okay.” Clint whispered as both hauled ass, running from the Outriders.

Thanos appeared in the middle of the now ruined Avengers Compound, seeing Nebula walking towards him.

“Daughter.”

“Yes, father.”

Thanos looked around. “So, this is the future.” He looked at her. “Well done.”

“Thank you, father.” Nebula said, taking off the orange armor piece her future self wore. “They suspected nothing. At least, until alternate counterparts arrived.”

“Alternate… counterparts?” Thanos asked, looking at her in slight confusion.

“Once for Stark, Rogers, Banner, Thor, and a four others. They are no threats thanks to a man wearing purple and green armor.” Nebula explained.

“I see.” Thanos said, placing his helmet on top of the Thanoscopter. “Go. Find the stones, bring them to me.”

“What will you do?” Nebula asked.

“Wait.”

“Come on buddy, wake up!” Tony said, lightly tapping Steve’s body as the WW2 vet gasped for air. “That’s my man.” He kneeled down, holding the shield.  “You lose this again, I’m keeping it.”

He looked around, confused. “What happened?”

“You mess with time, it tends to mess back.” Captain America said knowingly. “You’ll see.” He and Tony offered their hands to help Steve up.

The three of them walked over to Odinson, Iron-Man, Johnny Cage, Raiden and Black Panther, all of whom looked at Thanos, who sat down on a rock, fiddling with a stone as he glanced upwards.

“What’s he been doing?” Tony asked.

“Absolutely nothing.” Odinson revealed, surprising them but they said nothing.

“Where are the stones?” Steve asked.

“Somewhere under all this.” Johnny remarked.

“All we know he doesn’t have them.” Raiden said, leaning slightly on the rubble.

“So, we keep it that way.” Steve said grimly.

“You know it’s a trap, right?” Captain America asked knowingly.

“I don’t care.” Black Panther grumbled.

“Just as long as we’re all in agreement.” Odinson said as thundered crackled. He extended his hand as Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, now wearing his armor. “Let’s kill him properly this time.”

“Shame Dr. Doom isn’t here.” Johnny remarked. “Would have been nice for him to just Thanos skeleton and be done with it.”

“Perhaps it might be best given his dubious allegiances.” Raiden said.

Thanos looked at them as they walked towards him, clearly ready for a fight.

“You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.” Thanos said as the heroes surrounded him. “I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you’ve shown me… that’s impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist.”

“Yup, we’re all kinds of stubborn.” Tony quipped.

“Trying taking a trip to our world. See how stubborn we really are.” Johnny said, pushing his sunglasses up with his middle finger.

“I’m thankful. Because now… I know what I must do.” Thanos said, standing up as he placed his helmet on his head.

“What? Try and fail to get with Lady Death?” Iron-Man quipped Odinson, Steve and Tony looked at him in confusion while the others looked at him wide eyed, wondering why he would go there.

Thanos ignored the barb. “I will shred this universe down to it’s last atom. And then… with the stones you’ve collected for me, create a new one, teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given.” Everyone stood ready to attack, glaring at the Mad Titan. “A grateful universe.”

“Born out of blood.” Steve said in disgust.

“And your boner for a woman who isn’t even into you.” Iron-Man quipped. "Guess she prefer her sausage and eggs Canadian instead of Mad Titan."

“They’ll never know it. Because you won’t be alive to tell them.” Thanos said ominously.

Odinson and Raiden roared, charging at Thanos as Tony used his nano tech to form a blade while Iron-man fired at Thanos, who smacked Steve away with his blade and kicked Captain America in the gut before slamming his blade down on Black Panther.

Unknown location…

Odin smiled, a rare sight in his later years. “So have we, my son. More than you could ever imagine.”

“But… Asgard of the other dimension… I…” Thor trailed off, unsure of what to say.

“I’m sorry.” Frigga said somberly, seeing the anguish in her son’s eyes.

“Why am I here?” Thor asked, trying to push past the pain of failing to save Asgard once more even if it wasn’t his Asgard.

“You were badly wounded due to the Ragnarok beast… Earthrealm’s protector God has healed your most egregious wounds, but you are still on death’s door.” Odin explained. “But, it is still not your time yet, my son. Not for a very long time.”

“What do you mean?” Thor asked.

“You’ve carried so much guilt and grief over your failure to save Asgard and later on our people.” Frigga said. “You feel as if you failed the Korbinites for once more losing their home at Gorr’s hands. As if you failed the Asgard and it’s people from the older Ghost of Sparta’s dimension.”

“If anyone holds blame, it is myself or my dark counterpart for what befall our people.” Odin said. “And for that, I am sorry you have been forced to carry my burdens. With Hela. With Mangog. With Thanos. With being a king.”

“At least I had Loki and Sif with me.” Thor said quietly. “They helped ease the pain. For years, it felt as if it would burn me alive if I dwelled in too long but… with my daughter’s burn, it doesn’t feel so potent.”

“Yet you still harbor that guilt.” Odin said knowingly. “To be the king our people need, you must learn to accept that you are not an omnipotent, all knowing, all seeing god. For you all your strengths and gifts, this was something you could never fully accept. That even the greatest kings can fail. But it is not failure that truly defines them. It is what they do in response to said failure. It took me centuries to learn that lesson the hard way.”

Thor swallowed, feeling’s he had buried for years now boiling towards the surface. His father was right. He kneeled, trying to stop the tears that threatened to flow down his cheeks.

“Failure? Perhaps but you know what that makes you? It makes you just like everyone else.” Frigga said, kneeling beside him, running her hands through his hair. “Everyone fails at who they are supposed to be. The measure of a person, whether it be mortal or God, is if they succeed at being who they truly are.”

“I’ve missed you, mother.” Thor said, looking up at her, a bittersweet smile gracing his lips. “Loki and me both do. I wish you could meet Torunn. You’d like her.”

“We shall see.” Frigga said simply.

“I know about Baldur.” Thor revealed, seeing the expressions on both his parents. “But I’m guessing you knew that.”

“Being the father of one the many champions chosen to help defeat the Anti-Monitor does grant an in with the new Presence. Amenadiel is fitting into the role quiet well if I might say.” Odin said. “Not to mention being in the afterlife allows us to know what transpires to the one’s we love. It is both a blessing and a curse in equal measure.”

Thor merely nodded, unsure of what to say.

“Did you ever look at me and Loki playing as children and wonder how things would be if Baldur had been around?” Thor asked, something that had been nagging ever since he had learned of his gone far too soon younger brother.

“Yes.” Frigga said. “Both Odin and I had come from families with many siblings. We wanted you and later on, Loki to experience the joys of siblinghood despite it’s ups and downs.” Frigga said. “But when the child came and passed mere moments later, your father showed of the babe he had taken from Jotunheim.”

“Loki…” Thor trailed off in realization.

“At times, I wonder if my failing as a parent with Loki was due to being reminded of Baldur every time, I looked at him.” Odin mused, having had much time to think about his life, more specifically, his failure as a father to Hela, Thor, Angela and Loki.

“I’m… I’m not worthy to be a king. Or a father despite your failings.” Thor admitted.

“You’ve already proven yourself better than me in both categories.” Odin said. “I would not have reacted as well as you have to all that has happened in your tenure. As I said, you are a far better king than I could ever hope to be. It would seem Gaea gave me the son whose power dwarfed that of all of Asgard.”

Thor looked at his father wide eyed, wonder what he meant by that. “What are you talking about?”

“Your mother is Gaea, Thor.” Frigga revealed calmly. “The Elder Goddess of the Earth.”

“Then I was never your child by blood?” Thor asked, despondent.

“Yet does that make me less of your mother? When I nursed you, bathed you and treated just as much as my own along with Loki, does that still not make me your mother?” Frigga asked.

Thor swallowed, knowing she had a point. “No, it doesn’t. Loki is my brother just as much as Angela is my sister and you are my mother no matter what. Though I do disagree with her choice of consort.”

Frigga couldn’t help the snort that escaped her. “Well, seems the House of Odin has a penchant for dangerous beings to have for consorts. After all, Sif has taken Heimdall’s post. And she is a very capable warrior in her own right. Perhaps even better than the Valkyries.”

“Still, the question, remains.” Odin said. “Who are you? The God of Hammers? The King who sits idly while his friends are in danger?”

“What are you talking about?” Thor asked, concern seeping into his voice.

“Right now, you along with Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, King T’Challa, the Hulk and Raiden are trapped on Earth 199999, helping out the Avengers of this world stop The Mad Titan and the Conqueror. Right now, they are facing perilous odds.”

Earth 199999

Tony landed on the ground, his back shifting into an energy absorber. “Okay, Thor. Hit me.”

Odinson roared, charging both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker before the hitting the absorber with a blast of lightning, super charging the suit. Tony fired his overpowered eight repulsors as Iron-Man added to it, Raiden firing his own lightning at him to supercharge him.

Thanos blocked it with his Thanoscopter, spinning it fast enough to deflect it.

“Take cover.” Black Panther pushed Johnny as he got himself got hit with a repulsor blast.

Odinson threw Mjolnir up, using Stormbreaker to bat it like a baseball. Thanos grabbed both Armored Avengers, blocking Mjolnir with Tony while throwing Iron-Man at the two First Avengers.

Captain America raised his hand, knowing this was a time of need. He didn’t like wielding the power unless necessary.

Mjolnir flew to his hand, shocking them all.

Odinson smirked knowingly. “I knew it…” He of course had his suspicions over the years and given all he had seen from his friend’s counterpart, they were very similar though Captain America was certainly a bit more put together compared to Steve.

“Now you’re just showing off.” Johnny remarked, throwing green energy orbs at Thanos.

“Like you never do that.” Captain America pointed out, twirling Mjolnir in his hand, charging at Thanos. He hit him square in the jaw, making him fall several feet away.

“Fair enough.”

Clint breathed, exhausted. He then noticed Nebula casually going for the Infinity Gauntlet.

Sonya, who had been next to him due to having escaped the Outriders at the skin of their teeth, tackled the cyborg. Nebula threw her off, going to fire but Clint fired an electric arrow, shocking her.

Unknown Location…

“So, what kind of God are you, my son?” Odin asked.

Thor’s eyes turned steely, standing at his full height, his expression hardened.

“I am Thor Odinson, God of Thunder, King of Asgard and Allfather of the Nine Realms.” Thor stated. “I will face any who threatened my friends, family or people. Lest this be my oath till the day I draw my last breath.”

Odin’s lips twitched, pride swelling in his chest.

Frigga beamed at him, smiling. “You’ve grown up to be the best king Asgard could ever ask for. I could not be more proud of you, Thor. You and your brother.”

“As am I.” Odin said. “I know you will do our people proud.”

Thor nodded, unshed tears in his eyes. He gave them both a hug, holding a extra tight. “I miss you every day.”

“And I you, my son. We will meet again when the time is right.” Frigga said, running her hand through his hair. After a moment, Thor stepped away from the embrace as he kneeled down on the ground, closing his eyes as he relieved every moment of his life. Every step, every battle, every friend, all of it.

Earth 199999

Thor’s eyes shot open, glowing blue as he looked around, realizing he was buried underneath the ruined Avengers Compound. He roared, lightning cursing through him.

“What the hell?” Tony looked to the sky as thunder roared and lightning crackled. He looked at Raiden and Odinson. “You guys handiwork?”

“Not mine.” Odinson said.

“The Allfather has awakened.” Raiden said simply.

Thanos looked at the skies, unsure of what to think. Given Raiden’s words, it would seem he was about to face a God of Thunder who had not let his depression and grief turn him into a fat slob.

Thankfully, he looked to see his armies slowly teleporting into the battlefield as swath of Chitauri, Kree and Outriders covered the ruined facility, surrounding the Avengers.

“Shit…” Tony said.

“We’ve faced worse odds before.” Johnny said.

“And no matter what, we always win.” Captain America said, holding out Mjolnir for Steve, who looked surprised. “You need it more than I do, soldier.”

Steve slowly the hammer, feeling the power of Thor coursing through his veins. He nodded, humbly acting the power.

Thanos then looked at his side to see Kang the Conqueror, in his chair. He smirked. “I brought reinforcements.”

Several supervillains who the Avengers had fought over the years appeared their faces.

Tony glared at Iron-Monger, Whiplash and Aldrich Killian but looked confused at the Iron-Man esque armor in green and black.

“Justin Hammer. He goes by Titanium Man.” Iron-Man explained, having faced him a few times. He’s just thankfully Obidiah Stane’s son, Ezekial Stane wasn’t around.

Odinson looked at Loki, (clearly from the battle of New York), Malekith, Kurse, and Hela, grimly holding his axe.

Black Panther merely stared at Kilmonger’s presence.

Abomination smirked, looking bigger than he did back in Harlem. He looked around, wondering where Hulk was.

Cap? Cap, you there? Cap, it’s Sam.” A voice spoke through the comms, shocking Steve. “On your left.

Steve slowly turned around, seeing T’Challa along with Shuri and Okoye walking out of a portal. The King of Wakanda’s mask retracted, seeing that it was truly him. He nodded at him as Steve slacked in slight relief.

Falcon flew out from on top of them as more portals opened, heroes stepping from across the cosmos, all of them united against a common threat.

Steve smiled, seeing T’Challa giving a war chant to his people, as they stepped out behind the portal, ready for battle.

Scott turned giant, helping Professor Hulk, War Machine (now in an armored patriot inspired armor) and Rocket.

Hulk landed on the ground, roaring. “Hulk squash like Thanos like a bug!”

Thanos felt a chill go down his spine as the Jolly Green Giant’s declaration.

“Uh, Mr. Stark, why are there two of you…” Peter Parker asked, landing next to the Armored Avenger. “And two Caps? And Two Hulk’s? Or even Two Black Panther’s? I’m just really confused right about now…” Tony trapped the kid in a hug, thankful to see him. “Oh… Oh, this… this is nice.”

Iron-Man’s eyes narrowed underneath his helmet, having a bad feeling about their interaction. Especially when Spider-Men, especially Peter, didn’t someone like him or Tony trying to mentor him. He didn’t need a mentor to be one of the greatest heroes to ever live. Still, now was not the time for that.

Abomination lunged at Professor Hulk, but Hulk lunged at him in midair. He slammed on the ground before throwing towards the Chituari like a sack of potatoes, killing hundreds of them. He sneered, lunging at them, killing a Chituari gorilla with his landing.

“I don’t think we’re that useful right about now.” Johnny remarked, casually leaning on a piece of broken wood. “All we got to do is watch Jolly Green do his thing.”

“Smash.” Captain America said knowingly.

Ebony Maw levitated Hulk on the ground. “Such an unruly and simple creature.”

“Do not be fooled. I’ve killed Avengers in my time and the Hulk has always been one of the most difficult to eliminate.” Kang said cautiously.

“Wait, what even are you?” Scott asked as Hope Van Dyne, in her tiny form, flew over to Scott, smiling at him.

“I’ve killed all of them in my time. I even killed you with my bare hands, Scott Lang. In front of your precious daughter.” Kang said icily.

Scott paled as Hope flew at him, firing her stingers as War Machine flew at him, firing his entire arsenal. Kang’s shields protected him before his throne fired at them, knocking them out. The rest of the Avengers of Earth 199999, whether or not they were official members, and the Guardians of the Galaxy charged at Kang while the armies dealt with Thanos forces.

Hulk roared, slamming into Thanos.

Kang fired a repulsor at T’Challa. He hovered Okoye in the air before throwing her towards Shuri and Mantis as Drax lunged at him but was quickly sent flying away by his telekenisis.

“This is what Earth’s so called protectors have to offer to deal with against the Kree and The Skrulls along with Galactus?” Kang’s voiced boomed. “Your time is doomed lest I stepped in and conquer it, speeding it’s technology to defeat the Earth’s would be destroyers.”

“The Kree and Skrulls?” Captain America asked, a pit of dread forming in his stomach.

“Indeed. They will turn this world into a wasteland due to their battle. The Earth’s sun will be a casualty in their war. And then, Galactus will devour this world whole.” Kang said, shocking all the Earth prime natives. “And it will be responsible thanks to Captain America of this world.”

“How is that possible?” Tony asked.

“Nay. The Captain would never.” Odinson said in defense of his friend.

“Not knowingly but the Captain should be alive after 2023. He was meant to return the stones then retire in 1945 with Peggy Carter.” Kang revealed.

All eyes turned on Steve, who he himself looked shocked at the revelation. He swallowed, unsure of what to say.

Captain America felt thankful he had finally convinced (hopefully) of his counterpart to let Peggy Carter go.

Steve gripped Mjolnir tightly. “That’s not gonna happen this time around, Kang. Because not matter, I won’t stop fighting for what’s right. So, whatever ‘salvation’ you can offer to Earth? Take it and go to hell.”

Kang’s eyes widen before they narrowed in rage, gnashing his teeth. “You date insult me?!?!?”

The thunder grew louder as lightning struck several of Thanos army, killing them.

“Is that who I think it is?” Odinson asked, swallowing as the storm’s power felt… familiar.

“Yup.” Iron-Man said knowingly.

A giant blast of lightning hit the Avengers compound, creating a hole over it.

Everyone looked, wonder what that meant. All except the Earth prime natives.

“Time for you to feel a Thunder God’s wrath, Kang.” Raiden said as Johnny smirked.

“You’ve been… Thunderstruck.” Johnny quipped, earning eyes rolls and groans from his fellow Earth prime natives.

Notes:

Hello everyone and welcome back to a very meaty chapter.

For the opening part with Lorna and Wanda, it might seem out of place, but you'll see in time why it was included. I was originally planning this plot line for 'Heroic Interludes' but decided that using it here is quite an enticing concept. Especially given this a very much Marvel orientated story that heavily expands on both Marvel universes. Next chapter will expand on the why for this. Thank you '9024multiverse' for the original idea.

Thor's conversation with his parents was the part that took longest in this chapter. I especially wanted to deal with the fact Thor would have immense guilt from failing to save two Asgards now, ironically from both by Surtur (even if GOW's Surtr was very unwilling to do so) along with the revelation of never truly meeting his younger brother in Baldur and a lot of mixed feelings with his parents. However, this was about reaffirming his destiny as King of Asgard and the new Allfather of the Nine Realms. This will come to ahead near the end with a planned scene with Odinson and a third special someone.

The battle rages on. This should be fun.

Earth Prime

Wanda Maximoff and Lorna Dane entered the Karaoke bar, sitting down as the waiter took their orders for their drinks.

“Ok so what happened with that woman? Agatha Harkness was her name, right?” Lorna asked. Wanda nodded. “Is she ok?” Lorna asks

“She’s fine. Reed is checking up on her along with Wong keeping in an eye on her.” Wanda informed her, feeling sorry for her. “Mephisto had manipulated into a deal to bring back her Mother.”

“Bastard.” Lorna grumbled. She shook her head, deciding to change topics. ”So, about Doom saving you from Cthlon… that doesn't that mean you owe him a favor or anything like that?

“I do owe him.” Wanda admitted bluntly while thinking about the conditions of his favor to him, having made some rules that she laid out to him that she wouldn’t do anything horrific or Morally wrong lest. Especially when she had already befriend several powerful magic wielders, specifically Doctor Fate, who did not want Wanda’s full power be unleashed upon innocents. Doctor Doom had agreed, ominously remarking how he would call on such a favor in dire circumstances.

“Fuck… I’m so sorry, Wanda.” Lorna apologized, a pang of grief in her heart.

“It’s no one’s fault for being in that situation. I’ve made my peace with that.” Wanda said.

“But that still doesn’t mean you deserved to suffer the way you did. Especially when me, Dad, and everyone else added to your deteriorating mental state. The fact you are even talking to me or dad at all when you had every right not to makes you better than any of us.” Lorna pointed out.

“It’s not like I’m the only one who has her issues.” Wanda remarked.

“Touche.” Lorna acquiesced as their drinks arrived, thanking the waiter, who smiled at them. “He’s kind of cute…”

“Not interested. I have a human vibrator anyway.” Wanda said offhandedly, making her half-sister choke mid drink.

“The rumors are true?” Lorna asked, having heard that she and the Scarlet Speedster had done the deed with his wife having watched.

“Yeah…” Wanda admitted sheepishly, the tip of her ears turning red.

“Okay, I don’t want to hear anything.” Lorna said with a stern expression. “Otherwise, I’ll puke. How’d Pietro react to the news?”

“He’s fine with it. Mostly.” Wanda shrugged.

“Hey, let’s do some karaoke.” Lorna suggested, seeing a young couple stepping off stage after singing ‘Shallow’ by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Earth 199999

Immigrant Song by Led Zepplin plays

Thor landed on the ground, killing dozens of chitauri soldiers, gorillas and Kree. He glared at the approaching army of Thanos.

He extended his hand as his Mjlonir flew across the battlefield, killing several of them. He then extended his hand for this world’s Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, which flew to his hand, shocking Steve and Odinson.

The God of Thunder threw Mjlonir in the air, using Stormbreaker as a bat, destroying several tanks.

Odinson swallowed, having never felt such power before. Even from his father.

The rest of the Avengers, Guardians and everyone just looked in awe as this one man dealt with Thanos entire army.

“And I thought our big guy was strong…” Rocket mused.

“Oh, this is just a warm up.” Johnny said casually, earning wide eyed looks.

Thor threw Stormbreaker like a tomahawk, killing hundreds, if not thousands of Outriders along with several of the supervillains who Kang had brought in.

He then flew into the air, summoning his Mjolnir to his hand, smashing it down on the Sanctuary II, splitting the ship in half with relative ease.

Thanos looked in utter shock, wondering how this one god could change the tide of battle so quickly. Not even Odin has such power.

“THANOS!!” Thor roared at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing across the entire battlefield. “Have at thee, villain!”

The Mad Titan barely had enough time to react to the hammer that slammed into him, which pinned him on the ground.

Thor landed next to him, summoning Stormbreaker. “One of my biggest mistakes was not cutting your head off the moment I had the chance and instead allow Drax the Destroyer the killing blow.” He smirked, seeing the pure, naked fear in the Mad Titan’s eyes, having met the one being who could end him. “Allow me to rectify that.”

Kang fired at him, merely staggering the King of Asgard. Thor’s eyes narrowed when his gaze landed on the Conqueror.

“You would do well to know your place, Asgardian.” Kang said coldly.

“Perhaps you should heed your heads, conqueror.” Thor said. “This and every other dimension that will help with the Crisis is under my protection from villains such as you and the Mad Titan. I will die before I allow your schemes to play out.”

“Even at the cost of this world’s future because of Captain America?” Kang asked with a raised eyebrow.

Thor, knowing what he meant by that thanks to his Kang, merely smirked. “Regardless of what happens, know that we will prevail against all odds. For while we may not be to save the Multiverse, we shall avenge it. That is why I am an Avenger. From now till the end of days!” Thunder roared as lightning struck near Kang.

Kang merely floated back, eyes widening in fear. His eyes then narrowed. The battle was lost for now. But perhaps…

He taped away on the touch screen of his throne and in a blinding light, he along with Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Odinson, Professor Hulk, Clint Barton, Scott Lang, The Guardians (including 2023 Nebula), Hope Van Dyne, T’Challa, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Peter Parker, Carol Danvers, (who had been approaching Earth), and Wanda Maximoff.

“What just happened?” Okoye asked, looking around for her king along with the rest of the Wakandans.

“Kang took them with him. I suspect he wishes to show the reason for his actions.” Iron-Man said knowingly.

“And how the hell are you guys?” Shuri asked, confused, especially at the very familiar looking Panther habit.

“At ease, General.” Black Panther said, taking his mask off, earning shocked gasped at the familiar resemblance.

“How is this possible?” Shuri asked.

“That is a long explanation.” Raiden said, feeling his strength coming back slowly.

“It involves the Multiverse, doesn’t it?” Wong asked knowingly.

“Yeah.” Sonya said, throwing Nebula-2014 on the ground, Gamora-2014 next to her, looking at everyone warily. “Got a present.”

“I think what we need is an explanation. Now.” Stephen Strange said, looking at the Earth prime natives.

“Sure, here’s one…” Johnny slowly unveiled his middle finger like a jack in the box, looking surprised.

Sonya and Raiden shot him unimpressed looks while Iron-Man gave him a thumbs up.

“It is far more complicated than you might think, Stephen Strange.” Raiden said.

“Then start talking.”

Earth Prime

Lorna Dane waves goodbye to her half-sister before entering her apartment, giving Dawn her food (along with a few extra treats just for being cute) and then plopped down on her bed.

Unknowingly, a figure smirked as he chuckled, his essence entering. Thank you, Mar-Novu.

Lorna got up from bed, looking around. “What the hell?” She looked around, realizing she was no longer in her apartment but in a transparent cell with a TV on the wall.

“I hope you are enjoying the accommodations.” A man in a dark red suit.

“Who are you?” Lorna asked, trying to use her powers but given their was no metal, she couldn’t.

“An old friend of your sister, my dear.” The man said, smirking as Lorna paled.

“Your Mephisto...”

“In case you're wondering what my plan is well me & my associate have a deal.” Mephisto spoke, walking around the transparent cell. “He gets Wanda while i get the broken sister.”

“Let me guess... your partner is Cthlon.” Lorna asked sarcastically, knowing from what Wanda told her about him & trying to hide her fear of him for her own safety but what they both meant for her sister.

He lightly claps his hands in faux congratulation. “That a point for you, Miss Dane. He chuckled, darkly. “For the record me & him are not partners or friends in any way. It is mere convenience that our plans aligned. At first, we both wanted the same goal, getting your sister but after some thinking I let him have Wanda as his vessel for his plans, but for me I wanted revenge so I figured that everyone she Loved would suffer at my hands starting with her family.” The demon said to her coldly while looking at her with the eyes of a predator which terrifies Lorna, for once being in the presence of someone who could be considered pure evil.

“Why go after me?” Lorna asked fearfully, swallowing.

“Because you’re just as powerful as your old man. Maybe even more so and it is such a shame to see that potential go to waste. Secondly, I have got plans for your brother and your father. For now, I’ll start with you.” Mephisto said, walking off. “Oh, and one last thing. Enjoy the show.” He grinned smugly before walking away.

Recovering from her fear & Shock, Lorna tried to break out but to no avail.

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Lorna said in growing before banging on the door, screaming at the top of her lungs: “Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!”

Lorna woke up from her bed, her eyes glowing redish orange instead of her usual green, a sadistic smile on her lips as she thinks of paying a visit to her dear aunt and uncle.

Earth 199999, New York City, 2045

Every hero from 2023 looked around, wondering where they were.

“What is all of this?” Peter asked, looking around.

“I don’t know, kid.” Tony swallowed. “And I don’t like it.”

“Danvers.” Steve greeted, offering the former air force a hand to stand up, who took it begrudgingly.

Kang appeared, sitting on his throne as looked at the dead earth.

“This is what Captain America’s presence after 2023 has caused.” He turned around, glaring at the First Avenger. “This is all his fault.”

Steve’s narrowed at Kang, confused.

Odinson picked up a broken doll from the ground, looking at it.

“Where have you taken us, Kang?” Tony asked.

“Not where, Avenger. When.” Kang corrected. “You stand in your New York city. Just 22 years later from your present day.”

“You did this!” Clint snarled aiming an arrow at Kang while Quill aimed his blasters at him.

“You’re not listening, Archer. Ravager.” Kang said coolly. “I am not responsible for destroying your world. Captain America, your Captain America, is.”

Seeing some were looking to attack, Tony stretched his arm out, motioning for them to stand. “Everyone just wait! FRIDAY, connect to the Stark Industries network.”

Network not found.” FRIDAY responded.

“Try SHIELD! Try everything!” Tony said, panicked. This can’t be real…

Error, no networks found.

“There’s… nothing out there.” Tony breathed.

“What do you mean there’s nothing out there?” Mantis asked, confused.

“Nothing…” Tony echoed, unable to comprehend it. “There’s no one left.”

“Of course.” Kang scoffed, glaring at them. “You see, soon, in your timeline, Earth will be consumed in a war. Earth’s sun will be a casualty in that war along with all life in the planet.”

Everyone stood there, horrified.

“What kind of war could do that?” Hope asked.

“A war between two alien empires. The Kree and the Skrulls.” Kang revealed as The earth based Avengers while Carol, Odinson, and the Guardians paled.

“No way…” Quill breathed.

“Impossible!” Carol exclaimed. “The Skrulls were innocents that Kree hunted down!”

“No, Carol Danvers. Only Talos and his faction, who simply wanted to find a place to call home without conquering it. The rest of their species has been at war with the Kree ever since the fled the Skrulls fled from their home world due to it’s destruction from Galactus.”

The Guardians took a sharp intake of breath as Odinson and Carol stared at him in wide eyed horror.

“Galactus… is real?” Drax said, uncharacteristically grim.

“Indeed, he is.” Kang said. “And soon, he would arrive to Earth to devour it hole once his herald, Norrin Raad, discovered this world. Include this alongside Knull’s invasion before the final with the Kree, Skrulls and Earth’s heroes and the Scarlet Witch’s mental breakdown due to Chthon and Mephisto both vying for her power, compounded with all the tragedy she faced.”

Stephen looked at Wanda, mouth agape. He had heard of the Elder God of Chaos magic before from the ancient texts that spoke of the Darkhold but Wanda went insane due to it.

“Bullshit!” Clint said, glaring at Kang. “No way she could do all of that.”

“You are not listening, Archer.” Kang said. “Not only is Captain America a threat to the timeline, even if not willing but so is the Scarlet Witch. The Captain should not have been active once the final battle with Thanos in 2023 had passed. Both must be eradicated to help restore my time.

Everyone looked at each other, wondering if maybe, just maybe…

“We don’t trade lives.” Steve said, looking at Wanda. “But if it came down to it, I’d give me life willing. But… it’s your call, Tony.” He looked at the armored Avenger. “You are the futurist.”

“No need to wait for his response.” Bucky said, spitting near Kang. “Over my dead body.”

“Same here.” Sam said.

“I will not lose another of my friends to evil’s machinations.” Odinson said, lightning coursing through him.

“When Cap says jump, we ask how high. For Wanda, she’s just a kid.” Clint said as the rest of the heroes got in between the two of them and Kang.

Tony merely stared at them before his determination turned steely, aiming his repulsors at Kang.

“Big pass, Kang.” Tony said. “Too much of a douche for my liking.”

Kang’s fist tightened. “So be it… Avengers.”

“Ah, not all of us are Avengers.” Rocket said, looking at Groot, Drax, Mantis, Nebula, and lastly, Quill. “We’re the Guardians of the Galaxy, bitch.”

Kang’s eyes narrowed, glaring death at the Guardians. “You dare insult me, Subject 89P13!”

Rocket stilled, having not been called that in years.

“Rocket?” Quill asked, looking concerned at the haunted look in his eyes. “Rocket!”

“I am Groot!” Groot kneeled beside him, placing his hand on his shoulder.

Kang smirked. “It would seem he was not quite as open about his time before he met all of you. Figures…”

“Screw you, you time travelling asshole!” Quill said, firing his blasters at Kang, who merely raised an unimpressed eyebrow as his shield kept him safe.

“Take him!” Steve ordered as he threw his shield, Clint fired his arrow, Tony his repulsors, Odinson his lightning, T’Challa Vibranium daggers, Quill, Rocket, and Nebula their blasters, Drax threw his knives, Hope fired her stingers, Peter fired a web line and Professor hulk threw a rock.

An explosion as Steve’s shield returned but Kang was nowhere to be seen.

He reappeared. “I hope you enjoy the rest of your days on this dead Earth. For this is where I am leaving you.” He pressed a button, about to disappear when cockroaches started crawling up his chair much to his shock.

Hope smirked underneath her mask. “My suit detected them as soon as we got here. Cockroaches can survive anything.”

Wanda fired a hex blast, pushing Kang of his chair. Drax tackled him.

“Tony, get to the chair! It’s our ticket home!” Steve ordered.

“But-“

“You’re the only one who can!” Steve said. “We’ll keep him distracted.”

Tony nodded and flew off.

Professor Hulk punched Kang but was blocked by more powerful shields. Peter fired a web line, trying to trip him but Kang grabbed him and threw him towards Quill, Drax, Mantis and Nebula.

Odinson fired his lightning and Hope her stingers but the shield exploded, sending them flying.

Tony landed on the chair, trying to figure out what to do.

Wanda fired a hex blast, making Kang stagger.

Steve throw his shield but Kang grabs it. Using his tech, he dismantles the shield right before their very eyes, much to those who know the meaning of that symbol horror.

Quill fired his blaster but Kang made him hover in the air before throwing him towards Rocket and Groot.

Carol Danvers fired her photon beams but Kang fired back at her, who merely smirked as she absorbed the energy.

Kang shrugged, deciding it was time to humble her. Carol charged at him but he tanked it, throwing her to the ground before stomping on chest. He then grabbed her by the collar before throwing her towards the King of Wakanda, who’s built up Kinetic energy exploded on impact.

He then used his telekinesis to bring her towards him. “You also played a key role in the Kree and Skrull war, Carol Danvers. Unlike with the Captain and Scarlet Witch, I will enjoy ending your life slowly and painfully.” He grabbed her face, sending electricity to her nervous system, making her roar in pain.

“Tony, we’re running out of time!” Steve said as Scott went big, slamming his fist down Kang.

“Tag, you’re it!” Scott cheered. Kang appeared next to him and fired a repulsor beam at him, making him crash down.

Odinson flew at him, firing his lightning. Kang avoided it, knife handing his neck before slamming him to the ground, pinning him in choke hold.

“To think you were considered a great warrior.” Kang mused. “All I see before is a drunk, sad and miserable buffon who failed to protect the people he was meant to rule. I will not make the same mistake you did, Asgardian.”

Tony looked through the entire codes when said: “FRIDAY, connect to port 290926!”

Friday as told and then as some green sonic waves shot out.

“NO!” Kang roared in rage, breaking Thor’s arm and firing at Quill, who effortlessly avoid his beams this time and managed to place a device on his chest, which pinned him on the ground.

“Banner, do your thing!” Steve said as Professor Hulk lunged in the air before crashing down on Kang.

The Conqueror pushed him, glaring at them all but especially Tony.

“Your tech is very advanced. But some of it is based on very old technology. Stark Technology.” Tony said to him. “Activate Time circuits!”

Avengers Compound, 2023

The Avengers and Guardians appeared back in their time, as Kang glowered at all of them.

“Well, lookie here.” Johnny remarked. “Glad to have you guys back.”

“And Thanos?” Steve asked.

“Our Thor’s been keeping an eye on him. Thought she should have a say in his fate.”  Sonya explained as Nebula-2023 walked over to Thanos along with Gamora-2014.

“Gamora…” Quill said, seeing her alive and well. Raiden stood in front of him.

“It is not her, Peter Quill. Her soul has passed due to the Soul Stone of your time being destroyed by Thanos.” Raiden explained.

“The hell are you talking about?” Quill asked, confused.

“It’s complicated, Quill.” Rocket said, earning eyes upon him. “I’ll explain everything once all this is over.”

“Daughter…” Thanos growled, seeing both of them before him. “Unruly wretches.”

“Perhaps you shouldn’t have treated me as harshly.” Nebula grabbed the knife Gamora in her hand, the one Thanos giving her as a child, and stabbed it in his throat, making the Mad Titan choke on his blood.

The life soon left his eyes as his body slumped, the Mad Titan was no more.

Deciding to be on the safe side, Thor cut Thanos head off, wanting to make sure no resurrections were possible this time.

Nebula was on her knees, unsure of how to feel. Her father, the man who had made her life a living hell, was dead once more. This time by her own two hands unlike when Odinson killed him.

Rocket walked over to her, placing a hand on hers. She turned her hand around, giving his hand a light squeeze.

Kang got up from the ground, glaring at all of them. “You will pay for this!” He roared, leaping at Tony but the energy shields activated.

“Well, isn’t that a sight.” Iron-Man remarked.

Wanda held her head, feeling a strange sensation.

“You alright, kid?” Clint asked.

“I feel… woozy.” Wanda said, feeling faint.

Stephen Strange walked over to her, feeling a grim foreboding in the pit of his stomach.

“Miss Maximoff…” Stephen said but was cut off when a grabbed him by the throat.

“She can’t here you anymore, Stephen!” A voice that was not Wanda at all called out, making the Earth Prime natives pale.

“Chthon!” Raiden said.

“We could really use backup right about now!” Sonya remarked as Stephen was thrown across the field.

“See what your actions have led to, Avengers.” Kang said, smirking. Thor casually placed this world’s Mjolnir in the Conqueror’s chest, pinning him there.

“Be silent, Conqueror.” Thor said before he threw Stormbreaker at Odinson, who nodded in thanks at having his axe back with him.

“If it isn’t the so called champions of the Divine!” Chthon said, hovering the air as Wanda’s form took on a more demonic appearance. Horns on her head, skin turning grey and a dark cloak over the shoulders.

“Wait, that means you’re our…” Raiden trailed off.

“The very same one who would have successfully taken over your Scarlet Witch had it not been for Victor Von Doom!” Chthon revealed.

“Then how the hell did you escape Hell?!?!” Sonya asked. “Spawn has kept you along with the most dangerous demons close and under heavy guard!”

“Thank Mar-Novu for that one.” Chthon revealed, shocking the Earth Prime natives.

“I’m going to rip him limb from limb the moment I get my hands on him.” Raiden growled.

“Get in line, Raiden.” Thor said, eyes stormy. “For I will have words with this Mar-Novu the moment I get the chance.”

“And by words, you mean a lightning bolt to the face.” Johnny said knowingly.

“Are you opposed to the idea, Mr. Cage?” Thor asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Hell no! Do whatever you want with him so long as it hurts.” Johnny replied. “Fuckers the reason we’re in this whole multiverse bullshit.”

Chthon blocked Hulk’s punches, his anger growing with every blow.

Chthon used his magic to throw him off but not before crushing his internal organs, making the Hulk roar in pain as he was thrown away.

Suddenly, a breached opened, making them all look at it confusion, joy and curiosity.

A man in armor similar to Iron-Man but silver with a green cloak and hood over his head stepped out of it. He looked as if Iron-Man and Doctor Strange merged but with green and silver for his color palette instead of their primary colors.

“It would seem I must be the one to always do the work myself.” Doctor Doom mused, looking unimpressed Chthon. “As usual, Doom must be the one to ‘save the day’ as they would put it.”

“Who is that?” Peter asked, wondering who that was.

“That’s Victor Von Doom. Arch enemy of the Fantastic Four.” Captain America explained to the young wallcrawler. “He’s very dangerous but… he’s technically on our side for now. Especially against Chtlon.”

“Oh, I will enjoy taking my revenge upon you.” Chthon exclaimed gleefully.

Doctor Doom merely narrowed his eyes. “Come and try, Demon.”

Notes:

Back with another update. Not particularly happy with this chapter but next chapter will hopefully be of better quality. I'm just really tired right now.

So, Kang and Thanos are down but another threat decided to rear its ugly head. Chthon and Mephisto. Decided to have some and also add in more reason for Mar-Novu to get his shit rocked in when the time comes. Not to say he doesn't have a long list but give more fuel to the fire. Plus, allows me to bring certain characters that have connections to Prime Lorna and Wanda. I mentioned one of them at the end of section, so he's going to show up but what of the Master of Magnetism? Guess you'll have to wait and see.

Doctor Doom is here. Hooray! Kind of. This is going to be so much fun to write.

With all that said, see you all next time.

Chapter Text

Earth Prime

Trapped in her own mind, Lorna couldn’t help but recall when she was one of Apocalypse’s horsemen, Pestilence. All the people she killed…

The daughter of Magneto looks at the TV screen, eyes widening horror at what she is witnessing.

Mephisto gleefully chokes Lorna’s aunt to death, slowly after already having dealt with her uncle, having gagged then piercing his eyes with a knife. The only though was how Lorna could do such a vile thing to them, not knowing she could do nothing to stop it.

“STOP IT!” Lorna cried out, slamming her hands on the well.

“My dear, this is just the beginning. Now, let’s a pay a visit to Cyclops’ little brother.” Mephisto said with a sadistic grin.

Earth 199999, Avengers Compound

“This dimension is not big enough for the both of us.” Chthon said, glaring at the Ruler of Latveria. His voice was mixture of Wanda’s but with a more an ancient, male voice speaking at the same time, similar to how Ermac is many voices at once.

“Elder God of Chaos Magic? Bah! Don’t make me laugh.” Doctor Doom retorted as Chthon charged at him. Doom teleported behind him, firing his atomic powered blaster, which made the Elder God take a step back.

Chtlon was barely phases, firing his own hex blast, that Doom shielded himself with.

“You are merely a mortal pretending to be a good, Victor Von Doom.” Chthon said coldly. “And I will show you what true power looks like.”

He fired a hex blast at him, forcing Doom to block it with his molecular shield.

“Um… should we help or…” Peter Parker trailed off, unsure.

“He’s got this.” Johnny Cage said knowingly. “Besides, he already has help.”

“Have at thee demon!” Chthon turned around just Mjolnir crashed into him. It flew back into Thor’s hand, who glared down at the Elder God of chaos magic.

“I’m going to enjoy this… but not before bringing in what you humans would call… ‘party crashers’.”

With a wave of his hand, a portal opened as demons poured out of it.

“Netherrealm demons…” Raiden said in recognition and horror. He fired his lightning as Johnny threw a green energy ball at them while Sonya fired from her wrist gauntlet.

Hulk performed a thunderclap, slaughtering hundreds of them.

“Now, that should make things more interesting.” Chthon mused as he held both Thor and Doctor Doom in a hex hold.

“Hmm… pathetic.” Doctor Doom’s eyes narrowed before breaking free of the hold. He flew towards Chthon, grabbing him by the throat. “Now… release her.”

“Why would I do that?” Chthon asked with sadistic grin. “Her power, while inferior to your Wanda, is still very impressive. I will enjoy tearing this and countless worlds apart!”

A massive wave of energy crashed throughout the entire battlefield, making everyone fall back hard with only Thor, Hulk, and Doctor Doom left standing.

Netherrealm demons kept pouring, slowly overpowering the armies due to the massive energy wave.

“Perhaps some assistance would in order.” Thor mused begrudgingly.

“Then it’s a good thing I left coordinates for your friends to find us.” Doctor Doom revealed, making them stare in wide eyed shock at him.

“Metal man was actually… smart?” Hulk asked.

“…Yes.” Doctor Doom replied, annoyed at the insult but given Hulk’s lesser intelligence, he let it slide. For now.

“And when should our allies arrive?” Thor asked.

“Uh… I think we got out answer, buddy.” Iron-Man said as a breach opened, helping Sonya and Johnny stand while Captain America and Black Panther helped up Raiden.

Out of the breach, stepped out Captain Marvel, Black Widow, White Wolf, Falcon, Wasp, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Wolverine, War Machine, Vision, Beast, Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, Kurtis Stryker, Kabal, Jax, Fujin, and Bi-Han.

“You know these are really bad odds.” Johnny mused with a grin.

“For them.” Sonya smirked, cracking her knuckles.

“Then let’s show how we’re really Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.” Iron-Man said.

Ultimate Avengers 2 opening theme plays

“Avengers, Assemble!” Captain America said as they charged at the netherrealm demons.

Black Panther ripped a demon apart with his claws as Captain America shield bashed another. He threw it another one, with White Wolf grabbing it before throwing to several others.

Wolverine buried his claws into a demon then threw it at Storm, who created a hurricane with it and several others, Cyclops firing his optic blast at them.

Kabal buried his hook swords in a demon as Stryker fired his pistol at one before a lunging demon with his police baton.

Bi-Han froze several demons before summoning Saibot to deal with several others with his hook while forming an ice dagger.

Fujin fired his crossbow, effortlessly killing several demons.

Jax ripped a demons arm off before throwing them on the ground and then threw said demon at several others.

Captain Marvel fired her photon beams.

Ant-man crashed several demons in giant form while Wasp and Vision dealt with the airborne ones.

“Well, nice to see you’ve been having fun without us.” Hawkeye said dryly, firing an explosive at several demons.

“Just been doing what we do, Clint.” Captain America said.

“Yup. That’s why we follow you, Cap.” Falcon said, kicking away a Netherrealm demon.

“Till the end of the line.” White Wolf said with a knowing smile, crushing a demon with his metal arm.

“Till the end of the line.” Captain America said.

Iron-Man and War Machine were back, firing repulsors, machine guns and missiles.

“Holy…” Tony trailed off, seeing how cohesive the team was. Sure, their Avengers could certainly fight well together but these guys?

They were veterans at this job and had the experience to back it up. It also made him feel… small, in a way.

“Just cause they might be more cohesive as a unit doesn’t make us inferior to them, Tony. In fact, we can learn from them to be better.” Steve said.

Thor slammed Mjolnir down on Chthon, making him stagger back as Doctor Doom fired at him.

“You can’t defeat me!” Chthon roared. “You know the only way to do so yet you won’t do it!”

“No.” Thor said sternly. “We will not kill Wanda Maximoff to free her from you. We will however, gladly banish you.”

“You can’t.” Chthon smirked. He fired a hex blast, as Thor blocked it with his hammer, swinging at superspeed.

Doctor Doom fired an energy blast at him before charging at him, making crash through the ruined compound. Chthton snarled, firing a massive hex blast but the Ruler of Latveria blocked it with his molecular shield. He then teleported behind him, performing three consecutive foot dives and then fired his plasma beam.

Chthon recovered quickly, lunging at Doctor Doom and Thor, who met him blow for blow.

Earth prime, X-Mansion

Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr walked through the halls, most students away due to Holidays though they would be back in a few days.

“Any news on the missing heroes?” Erik inquired casually.

Charles shot him a look but said nothing. “We’ve found most of them. We think we might have found the third group missing but they still haven’t reported back.”

“Hmm…” Erik hummed noncommittally.

‘PROFESSOR!’ A mental shout got Charles attention. It took a moment for him to realize it was…

“Alex!” Charles said. Seeing his distress, Erik hovered Charles’ chair in the air before floating towards them as the telepath gave him directions.

They entered the room of the X-Men and brother of Cyclops, Havik, seeing the young man tied to the bed, nude. Kitty Pryde was currently trying to break

Erik quickly released from his shackles before throwing him a pair of pants, turning away to give him a modicum of privacy.

“What happened, Alex?” Charles asked, rolling closer to the younger man.

“Lorna… she came in. She… offered to have sex with me.” Alex Summers said, gulping as he stared at Magneto, not wanting to piss of the leader of the brotherhood of mutants.

“What did she do?” Charles pressed, as he could sense Erik’s distress. He kept his distance, not wanting to cause a potential bad reaction in his current distress.

“She tied me to the bed and said something about doing things the hard way…” Alex shuddered, trying desperately to snuff out the memories. "Thankfully, Kitty heard me from my room and scared her off, threatening to call Kurt and Piotr. She ran away quickly."

"It's the least I could do." Kitty Pryde said.

“Alex… I want to first go the infirmary and wait for Jean to return. I’ll ask Kurt and Piotr to keep you company.” Charles said comforting yet stern.

“Yeah… can I at least take a shower?” Alex asked.

“Of course, but don’t take too long.” Charles said as the mutant got some clothes from his drawer and entered the bathroom.

“Oh and um… her eyes were a redish orange rather than her usual green.” Alex said. “Thought you two should know.”

“Thank you, Alex.” Charles said.

Erik and Charles went outside the room, looking grim.

“What are you thinking?” Erik asked, barely keeping his composure.

“Demonic possession… but that’s impossible given Spawn’s policy on…” Charles trailed off as a thought crossed his mind. “Novu…”

“Who?” Erik asked, confused.

“I’ll explain later. Right now, we need to find Lorna.” Charles said.

“Um… professor.” The two older men turned to see Rogue standing there, a grim look on her face. “You need to see this.”

The three entered the living room, seeing news report of Polaris unleashing her powers across Manhattan.

“Give me your phone.” Erik requested Charles, who gave it to him after a moment. Erik dialed his number, knowing he’d have his head for this but he didn’t rightfully care right now.

Professor? Is everything alright?” Pietro Maximoff asked groggily, as if he had just woken up.

“Check the news lately, Pietro?” Erik asked simply.

The hell?! How’d you get the professor’s number?” Pietro hissed on the other end.

“Check the news. It’s about Lorna.” Erik said sternly. He heard several colorful words from his son’s mouth but said nothing.

What the… why is attacking the city?” Pietro asked in disbelief.

“I don’t know but right now, you’re the only one who can there faster than any of us can.” Erik said. “Hate me all you want but right now, I need she needs your help.”

I’m not doing this for you, old man.” Pietro grumbled as he ended the phone call.

“Of that there is no doubt.” Erik said. He put his helmet on, walking off.

“Erik!” Charles called out. “Where are you going?”

“To save my daughter, Charles.” Magneto said simply.

Manhattan

Mephisto relished the havoc and chaos he sewed along with the sheer raw power at his command. While it did not surpass his own power when in his element, it was by no means power to scoff at.

“I’m going to fucking kill you for what you did, asshole!” Lorna shouted in her mind, having borne witness to the evil that Mephisto had done. She owed an apology to Alex at least if not more for what she did. She knew she wasn’t in control, but it was still her body. She was the gun, Mephisto was the shooter and Alex the near victim had it not been for Kitty.

“Lorna, what the hell are you doing?” Quicksilver asked, looking at his half-sister.

“Ah… look who decided to show up.” Mephisto sneered, grinning maliciously.

His eyes narrowed when he saw Lorna’s eyes color. While he hadn’t met him personally, he had a feeling what that eye color could mean… More specifically, who.

“What did you do to her, Mephisto?” Quicksilver growled.

“Taking a ‘nap’ in her own mind.” Mephisto said, taping Lorna’s head. “But enough about her. Let’s talk about you.”

“What about me?” Quicksilver retorted.

Mephisto scoffed. “Out of all your siblings and your family, you’re just a child compared to their power. A mortal to gods. Not to mention the reason why you and your old man hate each other so much is because you’re so alike.”

“We’re nothing alike!” Quicksilver growled defensively.

“Another thing you, your twin sister and father do share in common… care to guess what it is, boy?” Mephisto asked.

“What?” Quicksilver asked.

“She hates demons. He hates humnas. And you hate robots, especially that ‘incident’ with Vision and your dear twin.” Mephisto smirked. “See a connection?”

The speedster stilled, recalling the words he spat at the android, feeling shame in his gut at the words of vile and hatred he had spat at Vision, comparing him to the likes of Ultron, when that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Vision had his sister by accident, but Ultron would have done so with glee.

“I… I didn’t mean that.” Quicksilver stuttered out.

“Sure, you did. Otherwise, you would not have said those words.” Mephisto remarked gleefully. With a wave of his fist, he held Pietro in the air, commanding the very iron in his blood. “I wonder how much damage a speedster can take…”

He threw several feet in the air, delighting in his shouting.

“Maybe he’ll go splat on the ground.” Mephisto mused.

Quicksilver landed near the bridge, going into the water.

He then felt himself going into the air. He looked at his savior gratefully.

“We’ve got work to do, Pietro.” Scarlet Witch said, having used her powers to pull him out.

“Then let’s get to it.” Quicksilver added. The moment he was on the ground, he sped in a gust of wind.

“Well, look who finally showed up.” Mephisto mused, turning to see the Master of Magnetism hovering the air, glaring death at him. “The Mutant supremacist who believes himself a Messiah for all of mutant kind though it is your own ego talking, really.”

“Release my daughter now, demon.” Magneto said calmly, a frigid fury slowly building up in him.

“You are no position to make demands.” Mephisto pointed out. The emphasize his point, he took out a knife and ran it through his hand, leaving a gash in it. “So… what will you do now?” Magneto looked disturbed at him but was planning ways on making him suffer and suffer greatly. “You have a funny way of showing love. Rewrtiting Lorna’s memories after her parents’ death, ostracizing Wanda for her Chaos Magic heritage and Pietro for being so like your while showing favoritism for Lorna all because she had your powers. Treating your children like the dirt on your shoe at the end of the day? Not very much like the Messiah, you paint yourself to be.”

“Except, I don’t.” Magneto said. “Despite what might believe, all I have done and ever will do is for the sake of mutant kind. To create a better future for them. Whether I live to see it or not matters little to me.”

“Messiah…” Mephisto said in a singing like voice, pushing the Holocaust survivor away, but the Master of Magnetism held his ground against his demon possessed daughter, even as windows shattered through several blocks.

Mephisto threw several cars at him, but Magneto crushed them effortlessly, throwing them like a sack of potatoes to the side.

He then saw from his peripheral vision a silver and blue blur.

“Hey, ugly!” Quicksilver said, waving his hand. “Try and catch me!”

Mephisto growled, following after the speedster when he felt something around him.

“Get out of my sister’s head, Mephisto.” Scarlet Witch sneered, tightening her hold.

“Hurt me and your hurt her as well.” Mephisto remarked coolly. “Besides, you don’t have the ability to release my hold on her. None of you do!”

“You’re right…” Scarlet Witch admitted begrudgingly but her expression turned smug, smirking, which made the demon feel a dread at the thought of… of him paying a visit. “But I know someone who can.”

“Mephistopheles…” Mephisto gulped, slowly turning around as Lucifer Morningstar himself stared at him, eyes glowing red. “Been a while, hasn’t it? Naughty, naught demon…”

“I can explain!” Mephisto began but faster than anyone, even Pietro could blink, Lucifer buried a hand in Lorna’s body. He pulled out Mephisto, holding his soul, relishing the demons cries of misery.

“Now, now… you’re going back to hell, make no mistake about that. But how much suffer for the rest of eternity depends on how you answer one little question of mine.” Lucifer said, eyes glowing red still.

“What do you want to know?” Mephisto asked.

“Who freed you?” Lucifer inquired.

“The Monitor.” Mephisto revealed as the Devil’s scowl deepened. “And he also freed Chthon! He sent him to another dimension, similar yet different from ours.”

“Is that so?” Lucifer said slowly. “And you wouldn’t happen to know the dimension, would you?”

“No. He spoke to us separately. Only reason we knew about one another was because we shared a cell block, and he freed us at the same time.” Mephisto explained.

“And did say his reasonings for doing what he did?” Lucifer pressed, making Mephisto’s very soul feel agonizing pain.

“YES! HE SAID THAT HE WANTED TO FURTHER TEST YOU AND YOUR BROTHER’S CHOSEN HEROES! TO SEE IF THEY CAN TRULY SURVIVE THE CRISIS!” Mephisto roared in agony.

“I see…” Lucifer said. HE then saw the approaching Ghost Rider, looking at Mephisto keenly. “Oooooh, Zarathos! How’s having Mephisto’s soul to with you as you wish sound like?”

“Perfect.” Ghost Rider, both Johnny Blaze and Zarathos able to find common ground on that front given their equal disdain for the Demon.

“Excellent. One demonic soul to do with as you wish…” Lucifer said as chains wrapped around Mephisto.

“No… NOOOOOOOOOOO!” Mephisto cried out as Ghost Rider opened a portal, dragging him to hell.

“Well, my work here is finished.” Lucifer said.

“What about my daughter?” Magneto demanded to know.

“She’ll be alright. Contact Doctor Strange and John Constantine to have her looked over for any lingering side effects.” Lucifer said. Before they could blink, he disappeared.

Magneto made his way to Lorna, but Quicksilver stood in his way.

“Step aside.” Magneto said calmly.

“Fucking hell no.” Quicksilver sneered. “After everything you did, you think I’ll just bend over for you just caused you helped us right now? Fuck off!”

“Pietro!” Scarlet Witch said.

“Oh, please. At least show some maturity for your age. No wonder everyone prefers Central City’s Scarlet Speedster. At least he knows to show respect to his elders.” Magneto retorted harshly.

“Maybe cause his elders didn’t treat him like shit and abandoned me and my sister to hell with HYDRA, you sanctimonious, hypocritical motherfucking-”

“ENOUGH!” Scarlet Witch snapped, which earned her stubborn father and twin’s attention. “Right now, Lorna needs us. So shove the dick measuring contest for later.”

“Need a lift?” They turned around to see the Milano, Gamora and Nebula looking  at them expectantly.

“Appreciated.” Scarlet Witch said as Quicksilver picked his unconscious half-sister, carrying her bridal style towards the ship.

“So, what happened to her?” Drax asked.

“Demonic possession.” Scarlet Witch said in a knowing tone, shuddering at the memories of Chthon in her head.

“Get her to the X-Mansion in Weschester County.” Quicksilver said.

“How fast is this ship?” Magneto asked.

“It’s a spaceship, pal.” Rocket said. “Which means it’s faster than anything you guys got on this mudball.”

“Even the Cybertronian jets?” Quicksilver remarked with a cheeky grin.

“Okay, almost everything.” Rocket grumbled in begrudging admittance, making the other Guardians snort.

Notes:

Hello Everyone. I'm alive, not need to fret. Just been busy cause College has been up my ass. Oh well, here's an update. Hopefully next chapter won't take as long.

Well, back up has arrived for Earth 19999. Unfortunately, it ain't enough given who this is. Though Doctor Doom and Thor are holding their own against the Elder God of Chaos Magic.

Familial strife amongst Magneto and his children? Oh, who could have ever guessed that being the leader of the Brotherhood of mutants would lead to such a thing... *sarcasm dripping from my voice*.

Forgot to mention but Mephisto is voiced Ian McShane and Chthon is voiced by Charles Dance.

Chapter 7: Chaos no more

Chapter Text

Earth 199999

Thor and Doctor Doom pinned Chthon on the ground, barely able to do so.

“No… I WILL NOT BE DENIED!” Chthon roared, making them all crash the entire Compound shake at the raw power. “The power of Chaos Magic is within my grasp once more and I will stop at nothing to ensure it is mine and mine alone! So all of you can die!”

Every single person in throughout the compound felt the very ground collapse underneath their feet, falling into several holes.

“Can you move?” Tony asked through gritted teeth, pinned under rubble.

“No… Think my leg’s stuck.” Steve rasped.

“Don’t you fools realize who I am?” Chthon shouted at the top of his lungs. “I’m the strongest one there is!”

Hulk landed behind him, smirking. “You sure about that?” He tackled him, the two flying through dozens of miles in the air. Thor and Doctor Doom flew after them

“Holy shit…” Clint breathed, as everyone was finally able to stand on their feet. Hawkeye offered him a hand, which he took after a moment. “Feels like looking in a mirror.”

“Get used to that feeling. You’re going to see that a lot more these next few years.” Hawkeye said knowingly. They both rolled away from an incoming flying demon. The demon roared at the top its lungs but an ice blade found itself buried in its chest.

“Thanks.” Hawkeye said.

“Get moving. This isn’t over.” Bi-Han said, creating an ice ball and throwing it at several demons, freezing them. He buried his hand in one’s chest before ripping out their spine along with their skull then using it to shatter the ice encased demons.

“That guy’s got issues.” Clint couldn’t help but note.

“Don’t we all?” Hawkeye pointed out as both archers began firing on the demons. Clint’s eyes then landed on the Gauntlet.

“I that can make a difference?” Clint asked, pointing a finger at it.

“Maybe…” Hawkeye mused. “But someone has to get to our three big guns.”

“I’ll do it.” Black Panther said, walking over to them. “Give it to me.”

“Here you go, sunshine.” Hawkeye said, throwing the gauntlet towards the Wakandan.

“Kabal, cover me!” Black Panther ordered as race over to the battlefield, the former Black Dragon speedster taking out any approaching demons.

Seeing a hard of demons, Stryker pulled the pin from a grenade with his mouth and threw it, killing them in a fiery explosion.

“This isn’t possible!” Chthon roared, forcing the ground to raise into the high up air with Hulk at the top. Mjolnir crashed into him, and Doctor Doom fired his own energy blast. Chthon fired back a massive hex blast at them, forcing them to avoid it.

Hulk punched the elevated ground, shattering it with every blow as he went down to before lunging towards Chthon, crashing down him, creating a massive crater. He slammed both fists down on him, forcing him to create a hex shield but it barely held, nearly being shattered under the strength of the Gamma monster.

Iron-Man flew over to the King of Asgard and Ruler of Latveria. “Not to be that guy but don’t forget, a Wanda is still trapped under Chthon’s control.”

“We haven’t forgotten, Stark.” Doctor Doom said. “But we must weaken him before we can pull him out.”

“Ah, I see…” Iron-Man said slowly. “Then let’s add to it, shall we.”

The three flew towards Hulk and Chhton, making the one v one a four v one.

Earth Prime, X-Mansion

Scarlet Witch looked at her unconscious sister, holding her hand gently while Quicksilver paced around the room.

“Sit down. You’ll make the floor collapse.” Scarlet Witch said to her brother gently yet sternly.

Quicksilver looked sheepish, sitting down. “Sorry, it’s just…” He sighed. “I hate waiting.”

“I know.” Scarlet Witch said knowingly. “Patience was never your strong suit.”

“Yeah… it never was.” Quicksilver said with a small smile.

Lorna groaned, starting to wake up.

“Hey.” Scarlet Witch said with a smile. Quicksilver sped away and came back a few seconds later with a glass of water.

“Here drink up.” Quicksilver said, giving it to his fellow mutant. Lorna drank it, her throat no longer dry as the Sahara desert.

“… what happened?” Lorna rasped, her head feeling like it had been split open, holding it in her hand.

“What’s the last thing you remember?” Scarlet Witch inquired.

Lorna sat there, silent, tears starting to form in her eyes.

The Chaos magician felt the immense urge to go down to hell and torture Mephisto herself as Lorna collapsed in her twin’s arms, who held her tightly. Though Spawn should be overseeing that personally.

Hell

Spawn’s hellfire infused chain was slowly dragged out after being buried in Mepisto, relishing his cries of agony.

“How does a taste of your own medicine feel?” Spawn asked sadistically. He grinned underneath his mask. “I hope you enjoy your permanent stay here.” He got near him, looking at him face to face, seeing the all mighty Mephisto being turned into a whimpering mess of a demon. “Welcome to hell, Motherfucker!”

Earth Prime, X-Mansion

Erik Lensherr felt the great urge to kill someone. Or at least hurt them badly.

“Erik, don’t.” Charles said sternly, a knowing look on his face.

“Or what?” Erik retorted with a raised eyebrow. He tapped his helmet. “Can’t read my mind, old friend.”

“I don’t need to read your mind to know what is going through you head.” Charles pointed out.

“Let me ask you something, Charles.” Erik looked at the Telepath, eye to eye. “What would you do if your son, David Haller, had been in the same position?”

Charles paused, unsure of what to say for a moment.

“I… I don’t know what I’d do in such a situation.” Charles admitted.

“That’s the difference between us, Charles.” Erik said. “For anyone who dares come to my children with malicious intent, I feel a great swell of pity for them. A parent’s rage knows no bounds, old friend.”

“That it does not.” Charles said, silently agreeing with his old friend but not voicing it out loud. “Still… Pietro seems to still resent you.”

“I’ve come to accept that some relationships are meant to forever remain broken, never to be mended not matter how much either party tries.” Erik admitted. “Still, all I’ll always be there for them, even if he hates me for the rest of his life. Now… tell me what you know of this Mar-Novu?”

Charles sighed, knowing that was something he could not keep from Erik.

“Take a seat.” Charles said simply. “This will take a while.”

Earth 199999

“I think I’ve got him!” Iron-Man said, holding Chthon in a choke hold. The elder god blasted the Armored Avenger away. “I don’t got him… ow.”

“Stand back!” Thor exclaimed as his eyes glowered white, lightning crackling and clouds darkening. Thor charged up his lightning blast as Chthon looked up, eyes widening. Thor fired a huge blast of lightning, barely allowing the Chaos Magician to block it with a hex shield but even then, it was for naught given it shattered on impact.

Thor took a deep breath, looking at the smoldering crater.

Black Panther, Captain America, Wasp, Ant-Man (still in giant form), Wolverine, Raiden, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and the rest of the heroes from both worlds looking at the crater.

“Is he dead?” Scott Lang asked, looking try to look for him.

“No… no he isn’t.” Raiden said knowingly as everyone stared.

Chthon got up, looking worse for wear but still clearly able to fight from the look on his face.

“Well? Let’s get this over with!” Chthon roared, firing at all of them as some were forced to scattered.

Raiden flew at him, crashing him into a the end of the crater. He electrocuted Chthon, making him roar in pain.

Wasp and Hope both fired their stingers, adding to it. They got out of the way at the quadruple unibeam from Iron-Man, Tony, War Machine and Rhodey.

Chthon roared underneath, managing to tank the blast.

“Got something special for this.” A giant canon appeared on Iron-Man’s right shoulder.

“What the hell is that?” Rhodey asked.

“My trusty rusty proton canon!” Iron-Man exclaimed, firing it at the Elder god of Chaos Magic.

Chthon powered through the proton canon, but it was clear all this was taking its toll.

“Keep the pressure on him! It’ll make the separation easier!” Captain America ordered, throwing his shield. It ricochet from Chthon back towards him. He bashed him with it, but Chthon merely fired a hex blast in retaliation that the first Avenger barely managed to block.

Summoning his world’s Mjolnir, Steve landed near them. “Wanda, I know you are in there. Fight it!”

“She can’t here, Steve Rogers. But she will hear your screams!” Chthon trapped the First Avenger of Earth 199999 in a hex hold, about to crush him when Stormbreaker was buried on his shoulder.

Odinson roared, burying it deeper as Chthon growled in pain. He blasted him away several feet in the air before grabbing him midway and slamming him down on the ground hard.

“Your hold is starting to grow weak, Chthon.” Doctor Doom noted as Black Panther and T’Challa slashed his back but he blasted them away. Wolverine got up close, slashing the same spots as the two avatars of Bast, making Chthon hissed in pain. Storm and Fujin summoned a tornado, trapping him it.

“Surrender and you will be shown leniency.” Fujin offered. Chthon merely blasted apart the tornado, glaring death at all of them. He blasted away Jean Grey.

“I believe he will not oblige.” Storm said simply. They moved away from his Hex blasts, avoiding them.

Jean clutched her head, trying to tame the Phoenix force in her. To keep it in check.

“Jean!” Cyclops ran over to her. “Listen to me! I know it’s hard but you got to keep it under control. Otherwise, we’re all damned to hell!”

“I know… I know…” Jean rasped, able to suppress it. “I’m okay.”

“Good…” Cyclops said, silently thankful that the Phoenix didn’t come out today. The Elder God of Chaos Magic and the Phoenix Force? In the same battlefield? With two beings who’s power was certainly nothing to scoff at as their hosts? That’s a recipe for disaster they really did not need right now.

Doctor Doom got behind Chthon, his hands on his head. “Pin him down!”

Thor and Hulk did so, grabbing each limb. Everyone also held, either with their hands or from a distance.

Doctor Doom began a Latin chant, the very one used by the likes of Doctor Strange and John Constantine during their demonic exorcisms. Naturally, he considered himself better than them at that but that was neither here nor there.

“No… NO!” Chthon roared as he felt his grip weakening.

Doctor Doom looked around, seeing he was inside of Wanda’s head. He walked over to the young woman, seeing she hunched, holding her legs near her chest.

He offered her a hand, making her look at him cautiously.

“Freedom awaits you, Miss Maximoff. All you must do is take Doom’s hand.” Doctor Doom said, something akin to a soft tone lacing his voice.

Wanda gently took his hand, standing up. A white light engulfed them, blinding them.

Wanda’s shown through her Chthon hosted body, beginning to expel him with Doctor Doom’s help.

“Wanda!” Clint caught her before she fell. “I’ve got you, kid.”

“NOOOO!” Chthon roared, as his soul materialized into his body, albeit a several weakened one.  He glared at all of them, readying another hex blast when he felt a finger tapping his left shoulder.

“Excuse me…” He turned around and before anyone could even blink, a hand wrapped around his throat.

“Hello, Chthon… miss me?” Lucifer Morningstar asked with a sadistic grin.

“Lucifer… I can explain!” Chthon spoke weakly.

“Don’t bother. Your partner in crime spilled the beans.” Lucifer said, tilting his head. “And you’ll get a thousand times worse than he will suffer. You interfered with mine and Amenadiel’s champions. You were warned once and still defiled my orders.” His eyes glowed red. “To hell with you!”

Chthon shouted in agony as bony, fiery hands from under him, dragging him down. “No… NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Soon, Chthon was no more except a head. Lucifer crushed it as easy as it was breathing for him.

Lucifer turned around, at the bewildered looks from the heroes of Earth 199999. “Pleasure to meet you, gents. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do.”

“Indeed, but I think we all need some rest right about now.” Steve looked at the unconscious Wanda, seeing Clint holding her bridal style.

“Rightly so. Let me help with that.”

An portal opened as Doctor Strange of Earth Prime stepped out.

“No need. I’ll take care of things from here. Thank you, Lucifer.” Doctor Strange said.

Stephen blinked, seeing the striking resemblance.

“Come. My Santocum has medical equipment on stand by.” Doctor Strange said.

“Don’t forget Avengers Tower.” Iron-Man said.

“Or that big satellite up in the air.” Hulk remarked.

“I’m sorry, what?” Quill asked. “Time out. I’m so confused, right about now. Explanation, now.”

“You’ll get it once you dumbasses get medical attention.” Bi-Han said with a slight growl. “Now move it, Starboy.”

“Who the hell do you think you are?” Quill demanded to know when an ice blade found itself near his throat.

“Don’t test me.” Bi-Han said simply.

“I believe it would be best to find somewhere more comfortable to talk.” Fujin suggested.

“Follow me then.” Doctor Strange said as the main heroes did so.

Mar Novu, who watched from the sidelines, grit his teeth but teleported away before Lucifer could notice him.

Unknown to him, a hooded figure with a snout licked his lips. The Monitor’s time would come in due course yet even Death itself could not wait for the moment. No one escapes him, not even so called gods.

Notes:

Hey guys. Sorry this took me a bit but life got busy. Thankfully, this is almost done. The next chapter or two should hopefully wrap this story up if all goes well.

Chthon is officially taken of the board and next chapter is the Earth 199999 Avengers learning of the Multiverse shenanigans in a more in depth manner. This should be fun.

Until then, see you all next time.

Chapter 8: Memories return

Chapter Text

Earth Prime

Lorna walked into her apartment, holding her phone next to her with her shoulder while her right hand held a bag of her pills, having been prescribed them thanks to an on call doctor in the super community known as Robbie Arnett, who’s training had been personally overseen by Doctor Midnite.

“Yes, mom. I made it home.” Lorna bemoaned at her half-sister, snark lacing her tone. “I swear, you’ll end up being a better parent than all of us with all that mother Henning you do with me and Pietro.

I am not motherly material.” Wanda replied, sulking on the other end. She then heard Pietro on the other end saying she had a point, which led to him throwing a pillow at his face before he could react.

“See, even if Pietro agrees with him. He would know given you’ve basically been his mother for years now.” Lorna teased, earning a yelp of indignation from her half-brother.

Just… be safe, alright. And if any assholes coming knocking, give me a heads up.” Wanda cautioned her.

“I will. Take care sis.” Lorna said, ending the phone call. She dropped her bag on the table, finally noticing what was on it. A gift wrapped box. She opens it, seeing a Chocolate fountain and a card with the initials GM.

‘Ghost-Maker’ The Daughter of Magneto realized.

“Well, this sort of helps with the shitty day I had… and Columbia.” Lorna mused. “Still an asshole.”

Tyler Hayward led a squad of soldiers through the stairs, under special orders from higher ups in Washington DC wanting to capture Lorna Dane, not just for her actions but for affiliation with the Brotherhood of Mutants, specifically their leader, Magneto. She had been under surveillance but thanks to her little rampage, they had full authorization, including lethal force if necessary.

Not to mention he himself had wanted her capture to see if maybe they could replicate her abilities or simply have her acting as their agent against enemies of the US Government.

“Take one more step, assholes…” Tyler stilled, looking a very familiar Skull vest. “Or you’re all going to downstairs real quick.”

“Get out of here, Castle. This doesn’t concern you.” Tyler sneered, looking at disgust at the Punisher.

“Not happening. An old acquittance of mine gave me a call to keep an eye out on your target. Guess her instincts were right.” Punisher said.

“You can’t beat all of us at alone.” Tyler pointed out, showing his men’s weapons trained on him.

“Who said I was alone?” Punisher grinned ferally as webs were attached to several soldiers, making them fall from the stairs but a web held them in place.

“Have a nice flight!” Scarlet Spider II, Kaine Parker, quipped.

A figure in white dropped down, mercilessly taking out two soldiers with relative ease.

“Been a while since I had an actual challenge.” Moon Knight remarked, in full Mr. Knight suit, fixing his tie as more soldiers fired on him, forcing him to avoid them.

“What the…?” Tyler spoke in shock when Punisher tackled him, pinning him on the rail. His gun was in his mouth.

“Ruler number one for all of us, Pal… you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.” Punisher said grimly, smirking at Moon Knight and Scarlet Spider II took out the rest of the squad.

Sanctum Sanctorum

Iron-Man stood on the balcony, watching the every busy city.

“You all right?” Captain America asked, walking towards his friend.

“Would you believe me if I said yes?” Iron-Man tried in futility. The First Avenger merely a knowing eyebrow. “Eh, worth a shot.”

“What’s bothering you, Tony?” Captain America inquired.

“Myself… or my counterpart to be precise.” Iron-Man said. “Fighting him finally clicked why I hate Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom so much.”

“Why?”

“Because they remind me of my worst traits. Of who I was before…” He tapped the arc reactor on his suit, still wearing despite things having died down. “… all of this.”

“Then let them serve as reminder for you to keep being better than you were.” Captain America said, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Cause despite it all, you’re still a good man at heart, Tony. Otherwise, we’d never be friends, even before Civil War.”

“Thanks, Steve.” Iron-Man said, smiling at his friend. “I should probably call Pepper. Must have been worried sick for me.” He dialed up her number, which she answered almost immediately. “Hey, Pep. I’m back…

“ANTHONY EDWARD STARK, YOU HAVE A LOT TO EXPLAIN!” Iron-Man and Captain America flinched at the volume of her voice.

“Nice to hear you too, Honey.”

“So, the multiverse is real?” Tony asked. “Not just a theory.”

“Quite so.” Dr. Strange replied calmly, sipping tea. “We’re also connected to it even without knowing. Every dream you have ever had is a reality that exists somewhere out there.”

That earned many raised eyebrows from the Earth 19999 heroes when they heard a commotion in the training room.

Carol Danvers crashed through the wall, looking worse for wear.

“Now do you understand humility?” Captain Marvel asked, smirking as she stretched her arms.

“Yeah…” Carol said weakly.

“Good.” Captain Marvel walked over to them, taking a bottle of water and gulping it down.

“Wow…” Scott Lang said in stupefaction. Ant-Man snorted, understanding but still finding his reaction humorous nonetheless.

“We need to return those stones back where they came from.” Professor Hulk said.

“Yes but I would like for Steve Rogers to be accompanied by two others.” Dr. Strange said as said two entered the room.

“You call for us, Sorcerer?” Ghost Rider asked.

“Quite right.” Dr. Strange said. “Thank you for arriving on such short notice.”

“Of course.” Adam Warlock said with a nod. “Anything for friends. May I see the Soul Stone?”

Reluctantly, it was handed over to him, who searched within the other soul stone.

“Hm… there is indeed another soul trapped within.” Adam Warlock revealed, shocking them all.

“Does that mean Nat can be brought back?” Clint asked, hope bleeding through his tone.

“Very much so but we must act quick. Lest we lose her.”

“Is there another soul in there?” Peter Quill asked in silent hope as everyone shot him knowing and sympathetic looks.

“I’m sorry, merely the one.” Adam Warlock said. “If you are referring to your present-day Gamora, she is lost. The Soul Stone that contained her was destroyed and with it, any chance for restoration was lost.”

Quill slumped, looking dejected.

“How do you know about that?” Rocket asked, a little defensive.

“I was informed on the situation along with a feeling you would ask me such a question.” Adam Warlock said simply.

“I am Groot.” Groot shrugged, still playing his video game.

“You really need to take a break from that. You’ll be a hunchback before you’re an adult.” Rocket said chidingly.

“I believe we should begin our journey to Earth 199999’s Vormir.” Adam Warlock said simply. “Dr. Strange, if you would be so kind.”

“Naturally.” Dr. Strange opened a breach, allowing the two to go back to Earth 19999 to find the Time Machine.

“Wait… I want to come with.” Steve said, holding Mjolnir with his shield on his back.

“Are you sure, Captain Rogers?” Dr. Strange asked.

“I am. I know where we grabbed the other stones and it’s best to do it all in one go.”

“Yes… best to have a friendly face for when she comes back. And placing the stones back would be most logical” Adam Warlock mused. “Doctor Banner, do you feel up to the journey with us?”

“I do.” Professor Hulk said with a nod.

“Come then. There is much work to be done.”

Earth 199999, 2014, Vormir

Adam Warlock, Ghost Rider and Steve stepped out of the breach, Professor Hulk staying behind to ensure they got back safely as a Floating figure made it’s way over to them.

“Welcome Adam, child of the Enclave. Jonathan, son of Barton. Steve, son of Sarah.”

“Johann Schmidt.” Steve said in realization, recognizing the voice.

Seeing him, the Spirit of Vengeance immediately wished to end him, but Blaze stayed him.

"Captain Rogers..." Red Skull said.

"This is what you get for playing god, huh?" Steve inquired.

"I lead lost souls to a treasure I cannot possess." Red Skull replied. "It must amuse, does it not?"

Steve said nothing, feeling just the slightest tinge bad for Johann but then he remembered that he was responsible for Hydra and be extension, what happened to Bucky for decades, turning him into the Winter Soldier. At this point, he could burn in hell for he could give a damn.

“We are here to return the Soul stone. And free the one captured in it.” Adam Warlock said.

“You may return it but the soul which sacrificed itself is lost.” Red Skull said.

“I disagree. Otherwise, I would not feel it within the Soul Stone.” Adam Warlock corrected. “I would suggest you help us lest you wish to have the Spirit of Vengeance upon you.”

“Follow me.” He led them to the top of the mountain, a rocky plateau where three stone pillars stood.

“Throw it over the cliff.”

“Just like that?” Steve asked incredulously.

“Just like that.” Red Skull said with a nod.

“Before you throw it.” Adam Warlock said, touching the stone with his fingers, seeing into it. With great strength, he pulled the soul out. “Throw it!”

Steve grabbed it and did so. After a moment, it was lost from their eyesight.

"What happens to it now?" Steve asked.

"Anyone else who wants it will have to perform the same sacrifice as Thanos did." Red Skull told them.

"We can't let anyone else have it." Ghost Rider said, his fiery chains wrapping him, attacking his very soul.

“How can this be?” Red Skull cried out.

“I feed on the evil and guilty. Ever since I laid eyes upon you, I had to restrain myself to our job was finished That time is over!” Ghost Rider stated, tightening his grip. “Now, die, guilty one!”

The Red Skull screamed as it was subjected to the Penance Stare and at last, it exploded into countless sparks as it had been burnt by the Ghost Rider.

“At least he won’t hurt anyone ever again.” Steve noted. He then looked at Ghost Rider. “Don’t think anything like you exists on my world.”

“You’d be surprised.” Ghost Rider said simply.

“Her soul is free now from the Mind Stone. Her body should be down there.” Adam Warlock said, a ball of light in his hand.

“That’s her soul?” Steve asked. “And why didn’t you do that before?”

“Because this is something I could not hold for long. Thus it would be most prudent we recover her body immediately.” Adam Warlock said.

Steve looked over to the ledge, trying to see it when Ghost Rider leaped into the air, landing on the ground unscathed. He walked over to Nat’s body, gently grabbing her before lunging into the air and back on to the top of the mountain, using his chains to pull himself up.

“Got her.” Ghost Rider, placing her gently on the ground.

“I must warn you that despite my connection to the Soul Stone, this is something I have never done to this extent. Keep your expectations reasonable, Captain Rogers.” Adam Warlock cautioned.

“I understand but please…do your best to bring her back. She means a lot. To my team… and me.” Steve said quietly.

“That is something I can assure you I will.” Adam Warlock said.

Earth Prime

Lex Luthor nursed a glass of scotch, on the balcony of his penthouse. His plans were in motion, but he needed to bide his time just a little longer. Thankfully, it would seem they were too busy dealing with their own crap to poke their nose around his. The longer they did that, they better for him.

"Hello, Luthor." The billionaire looked to see the Monitor.

"Shouldn't you be out in the Universe or multiverse damning other worlds?" Luthor asked, taking a long sip of his drink. "That is what you are very good at, right?" He looked Mar-Novu expectantly, who said nothing.

"Why are you here?"

"To give you what was stolen, of course." Mar-Novu waived his hand as memories returned to Luthor.

A teenaged Clark Kent was dragged in into the lake from the speeding car, tearing off the car door and bringing Lex to the shore. He did compressions, saving his life.
"You saved me?"

"You look lost. Name's Clark. Clark Kent" A teenage Clark Kent introduced himself, shaking a teenager Luthor's hand as they stood in the front of the entrance of Smallville High School.

"Lex." He greeted back. "Lex Luthor. Sorry, I'm new here. My dad basically dumped in the middle of nowhere. No offense."

"None taken." Clark smiled. "Besides, you'll find this middle of nowhere has its charm. Come on, let me introduce you to my friend, Lana. I think you'll like her."

"Why are you giving me these tickets?" Clark asked.
"Cause you're like the younger brother I never had." Lex admitted. "And your parents have been more parents than my father ever was."

"Just tell me the truth. That's all I want!" Lex begged Clark, having witnessed Morgan Edge's car be damaged upon impact with him.

"The truth is I'm just a guy trying to do the right thing. Isn't that enough?!"

A slightly older Lex learned of Clark's heritage after his father's passing, confronting him in the barn.

"Why didn't you tell me? I would have kept your secret, Clark."

"Because… because a part of me knew you'd react this way. Even if I told you earlier on." Clark admitted. "So, what does this make us?"

"I don't know. Certainly not what we once were."

“I tried to be your friend, Lex. But all you care about is power and control.” A 20-year-old Clark told Lex, who was the same age as him.

“This is Smallville!” Lex snapped. “Meteor freaks, alien ships, cryptic symbols! These threats are real. Someone had to take control. Someone has to protect the world.”

“Listen to yourself, Lex. You're so caught up in your own delusions, you've lost track of reality.”

“Have I? Then let's talk about something you can't deny. After years of pleading with my father, showed me some compassion, he turned to you with open arms. Now what would a worldly billionaire have in common with a simple farm boy?”

“Maybe he just knew he could trust me.”

“Of course. Everyone can trust Clark Kent. You're the perfect son. So... so why did Jonathan Kent always seem so stressed? I mean, was raising the perfect son really that much work? I wonder how much of a strain it put on his heart?”

“Are you blaming me for my father's coma? Are you? You're the guilty one, Lex, not me. And this time you're going to own up to what you've done. I know you killed Lionel.”

Lex scoffed “Who's delusional now?”

"Every hero is only as good as his villain." A 22-year-old Lex remarked, looking at one of his father's paintings. He looked at the same aged, Clark. "Don't you agree, brother?"

"Lex, whatever you are doing, you can end this. Now." Clark said.

"You don't get it, Clark. Ever since you left me at Belle Reve, allowing my mother to go ham on me with electroshock therapy, I've realized something… you and I are destined to do this till the end of days!" Lex stated. "You may be the hero in the eyes of the people, but I will always be the one to stand against everything you represent. Because you represent complacency. Saving a cat out of a tree, a plane or helping an old lady out on the street, it makes humanity rely on freaks like you so that when Armageddon comes and you and everyone like you fails, we're as good as dead."

A Flash of hurt passed the soon to be Man of Steel but he said nothing.

If that's how it's going to be." Clark sighed as the two former brothers in arms stared at each other, now enemies.

"You know, I used to think it was our families that made us who we are. Then I hoped it was our friends. But if you look at history, the great men and women of the world have always been defined…by their enemies."

“Were we ever friends, Lex?" Clark asked.

"I don't know." Lex admitted. "Cause I never had anything to compare it to. You were all I had, Clark. Sometimes I wish I could forget all about it but that's the thing about memories - you can't forget them. Like how you're always one step ahead of me, Clark. No matter how meticulously I prepared, no matter how strategic I was, if only I'd known I stood a chance.”

“It wasn't a competition.”

“Of course it wasn't. You were born to be the chosen one. You're simply better than us."

“And that always killed you."

“No. No, what killed me is that you didn't even want it. You fought it, you hid from it! I would have taken it and relished it, embraced it.”

“My destiny wasn't yours to take!"

“I get that now. Which is why I finally embraced my own. You and I... we will both be great men. Because of each other, we have a destiny together, Clark... only on different sides.

“I'll always be there to stop you. Always.

“Oh, I'm counting on it."

Tess Mercer, before dying from a stab wound to the gut, rubbed Summerholt's Neurotoxin on Lex’s face.

"What will I remember?"

"Nothing. The world before this moment won't exist to you."

Lex stood there for a moment, shocked beyond belief. His memories came back in full and…

“Clark… is Superman.” He remembered. He remembered everything. Why he hated him so damn much. He knew the why long ago but it would seem his reasoning went much deeper than even he could imagine.

“This… this changes everything.” Lex breathed. He grinned, looking at the Metropolis night sky. “It means I know where to hit him where it hurts.”

Sanctum Sanctorum

A breach opened as the Earth 199999 Avengers stood watching, breaths held tight as Adam Warlock, Professor Hulk and Ghost Rider stepped out.

Seeing the grin on their fellow hero, they breathed out a sight of relief as Natasha stepped out of the portal, holding Steve’s hand.

White Wolf raised an eyebrow in the back ground, sharing a look with Black Widow before the two shrugged. It wasn’t them plus regardless, they deserved to be happy.

“Nat…” Clint breathed, hugging her tightly. “You’re alive!”

“Yeah… I’m alive.” Nat said, stilling not believing herself. Once the two separated, Odinson trapped her in a bear hug.

“Good to see you have not joined Valahalla just yet.” Odinson beamed.

“Finally cleaned all the red from your ledger?” Clint asked knowingly, smirking at her.

“Yeah… I guess did.” Nat said, smirking back.

“Well, glad I don’t have to pay for a funeral with an empty casket.” Tony quipped.

“Good to see you, Tony.” Nat said, the two sharing a hug.

“Glad to see you’re still here with us, red head.” Rocket said.

“And you’re still alive, furball.” Nat quipped, earning a sour look from Rocket.

Despite herself, Nebula nodded in Nat’s direction, also glad to see her alive while Rhodey smiled at her. Scott of course waved her, which we waved back though not as enthusiastically.

Wanda walked over to Nat, hugging her which Nat reciprocated.

“Good to have you back with us.” Sam said, smiling.

“So, guess all six of us are back together again.” Tony remarked.

“Then let us celebrate!” Odinson said, trapping them all in a bear hug.

“So long as beer isn’t in the room.” Thor remarked offhandedly, earning cackles from around the room.

“There is still something you have all forgotten about.” Doctor Doom said, as Black Panther stood next to him. He threw a Vibranium dagger at Rhodey’s arc reactor, shutting the suit.

“What the hell?” Rhodey exclaimed, unable to move.

“What are you doing?” Tony demanded to know.

Doctor Doom ignored the Armored Avenger, walking over to Rhodey. He grabbed him by the throat, looking expectantly.

“Reveal yourself, Skrull.”

After a moment, Rhodey’s entire face changed to that of a skrull.

“What the fuck?” Tony asked in shock, unsure of what to say.

“Where are the rest of your kind?” Black Panther demanded to know as Doctor Doom’s grip got tighter around his throat.

The Skrull soon began to talk about their plan and all they had done for the last 7 years, ever since Colonel Rhodes had been hospitalized after being paralyzed from the waist down.

Carol Danvers meanwhile stared wide eyed at the fact that only Kang was right but the Skrulls had been under their noses this whole time. She had been such an idiot.

“Where are they?” Steve asked, glaring at the Skrull, who gulped at the look on the Star-Spangled man. No wonder they wanted to capture and replace him with one of their own.

Notes:

I honestly did not think I would be able to get this chapter out today or even tomorrow but here we are. Special thanks to Bl4ckHunter and 9024Multiverse for helping me out with this chapter. The former especially with the big surprise.

Red Skull's days as the guide to the Soul Stone are no more. He's dead. Also wanted to include a bit with Steve and Red Skull because canon robbed us of that. Seriously, it would have been such a good scene. But alas, that is what Fanfiction is for in many ways.

And now for the big one. Lex Luthor's memories are restored, meaning this Lex is now a hybrid of Smallville and DCAU Lex. Imagine similar events to Smallville but without any of the major DC characters like Green Arrow and such. Certain characters absences will be explained 'Operation: Lexcorp'. This is something I hadn't originally considered but as I began getting more into Smallville (still haven't watched the show but I have a basic understanding of certain events and such) and it would lead to some really fun dynamics with Earth Prime Superman along with the other supes. Plus, shows how much of an amalgamation this DC universe in this crossover is, taking inspiration from all continuities ala Earth 27 as stated before.

Nat's back! Why do you think I involved Adam Warlock in this chapter? To help restore her and bring her back. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, yes, Steve and Nat are a thing. Keep things unique amongst the different Earths given Captain America is with Sharon and White Wolf is with Black Widow.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. See you all next time.

Chapter 9: Reunions!

Chapter Text

Earth 199999, Westchester County, Two days later

Steve Rogers stood in front of the address he had managed to extract from Fury after a lot of talking. He looked at the plaque, seeing it read ‘Xavier’s School for Gifted youngsters’.

“You sure about this, Steve? It could be one of the many differences between our worlds.” Bucky said. “Or he could be dead.”

“Mutants are a thing from what Fury said.” Steve pointed out.

“Yet he lied about Coulson.” Nat said, sounding bitter about that detail. Having learned that he had been alive for years but passed away right after the mess with the snap made her and the rest of the Avengers founders a little angry towards Fury as they never got to truly say goodbye.

“Shall we?” Sam said as the gates opened, entering the large mansion.

They barked their bikes and walked over to the door, gently knocking on it.

A white-haired, dark-skinned woman opened the door, staring in surprise at three Avengers on her doorstep. Along with the Winter Soldier.

“How can I help with you, gentlemen?” She asked politely.

“We’re here for James Howlett. Goes by Logan.” Steve replied.

“Ororo, who is it?” A voice called out, one that the two WW2 vets recognized.

“James?!” Both called out as Logan stepped out, looking at them both in surprise.

“Hey, Cap.” Logan said, swallowing a lump in his throat. “Been a while.”

“Yeah… over 80 years.” Steve replied.

Logan looked at Ororo, motioning for her to take care of the kids while he talked with them. “Want to come in?”

“If you’ll let us.” Steve said. Logan nodded, letting them inside.

The Canadian led them into the kitchen. “Guys want a drink?”

“Just some water please.” Sam said.

“Same here.” Nat added.

He looked at the two WW2 vets, who nodded their heads in agreement.

“Coming right up.” Logan grabbed four water bottles from the fridge, putting them on the kitchen island. “So, how’d you find me?”

“Fury.” Steve said simply as Logan sighed.

“Figures… asshole.” Logan grumbled under his breath. “I’m guessing you’re wondering how I made it to this time.”

“Fury filled us in some of your abilities. Superhuman healing, huh?” Bucky mused. “No wonder you didn’t have any scars like us. We always thought you were lucky. Lucky Jim, is what we called you.”

Logan chuckled. “Haven’t heard that name in a long time, bub.”

“It’s nice to know some familiar faces are still around.” Steve lamented. “I’m just glad you’re here and alive, James.”

“Go by Logan these days, Cap.” Logan corrected.

“Logan then… gonna take some getting used to.” Steve remarked.

“Well, we get time. Right, Cap?” Sam asked.

“Not as much one might think but yeah… we do have time.” Steve said with a nod.

“Well, all starts once you went on ice and the war ended…” Logan began explaining what was been since World War 2.

Knowhere…

“About to time you idiots made it.” Rocket said.

“Hey, don’t get all smart with us, you little shit.” Star Lord said as his Guardians were right next to him.

“How do you get smart with someone…” Drax mused when Nebula elbowed him in the gut to silence him. Drax the Destroyer merely stared at his counterpart, unsure of what to say. He was certainly… weaker looking than he thought he would be.

“So, what’s the plan?” Gamora asked.

“Payback.” Rocket admitted as Rocket Raccoon starred at him, a knowing look in his eyes. He showed a hologram of a person wearing purple. “This dick for brains is the High Evolutionary. He’s the one who…”

“Made you into you.” Quill finished, giving a look of sympathy. “Why tell us now?”

“Cause this whole multiverse and time travel stuff made me rethink a few things.” Rocket admitted. “Besides, one less asshole in the universe… I don’t think anyone will complain.”

“I am Groot.” Groot-2 said, smiling at Rocket.

“You’ve got us with you, buddy.” Star Lord said. “That’s a promise.”

Earth Prime, New York

Peter stood on the Oscorp building, waiting for the one who invited him to show. He was wearing the blue and red suit Tony had given him.

Spider-Man landed on the roof, making him look in slight awe. He was taller, wearing a more spandex looking suit with white around the suit.

“Hi, I’m… I’m Peter Parker.” Peter said, holding his hand out. It was then he realized what he said. “But you already knew that.”

“Yup.” Spider-Man grinned, taking his mask off, allowing him to see his features. Like his own but older and more chiseled. “But hey, it happens to the best. Some of my counterparts were weirded out when I met them at first. So was I. Some even sounded like anime protagonists.”

“You serious?” Peter asked, mouth agape as he took off his own mask.

“Yup.” Spider-Man replied, looking over the suit. “Not a bad looking suit… reminds me of my old one before I got an upgrade a few years back. Though mine was more put together tech than…” He looked over him, wrinkling his nose in slight disgust. He’d recognize that technology anywhere, even if it’s less advanced than the time he wore that suit during Civil War. “Stark Tech.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” Peter noted, seeing the expression on his face.

Spider-Man merely shot his younger counterpart a knowing look. “Trust me, it is. Having technology to help out while on patrol isn’t the problem but more so the source and who it belongs to…”

“You’ve got a problem with Mr. Stark?” Peter asked.

“The mess with Civil War and the Registration act was a mess. Despite me forgiving him, I’m still bitter about it.” Spider-Man admitted. “Because of him in some ways, Aunt May died.”

Peter felt as if he had been punched in the gut. “May… she’s dead?”

Spider-Man nodded solemnly. “Yeah. An assassin hired by the Kingpin to kill her. A demon by the name of Mephisto offered a deal for mine and Gwen’s marriage in exchange for May living. I debated for a moment but decided not to. It hurt like hell to see her die but… in that moment I knew it was her time. She had lived a long life and… it wouldn’t have been right for me to give up my future just for a few more years with her. I don’t think she’d ever look at me the same way if I did.”

Peter swallowed, unsure of what to say to that. He couldn’t imagine losing Aunt May, not after… Uncle Ben.

Spider-Man smiled, putting a hand on his shoulder. “But you won’t have to go through that. Hopefully… though given the old good fashioned Parker Luck, you may find yourself in a similar predicament.”

“Yeah, I’d rather not.” Peter said with a shake of his head.

“Good. Now follow me.” Spider-Man said, putting his mask on and jumping off the roof, freefalling for a few seconds before firing his web shooters.

“Where are we going?” Peter asked, doing the same.

“Somewhere with a bit more privacy. I’ve got a lot of tricks I wish I knew when I was your age. Guess I have a chance to do that, in a way.” Spider-Man mused. “Going to a good place to train for a bit. Ever heard of Fogwell’s gym?”

It was then a massive explosion occurred from afar, earning their attention.

“Oh come on, Morrie. Not today.” Spider-Man grumbled.

“Who is that?” Peter asked, curious and concerned.

“Morris Bench. Goes by Hydro Man and is one of my C tier supervillains from my rogues gallery.” Spider-Man said.

“C Tier? Rogues gallery?” Peter asked, swallowing. “Don’t tell me this is going to be me in a few years.”

Despite the mask, he knew his older counterpart shot him an apologetic look. “Yup… and believe it or not, this is far from the worst one.”

“Oh come on…” Peter groaned.

“Yeah… just stay away from anyone with name Norman Osborn… Oh and a black goo like alien that’ll make you feel like an idiot afterwards.” Spider-Man said, shuddering at the memories. Damn you, Johnny Storm for keeping those videos after all these years. He called up the others who could help. "Miles, Kaine, Ben... you guys see it?"

"Unfortunately." Kaine Parker grumbled, taking of his trench coat in a back alley, putting on his costume.

"You know, I was actually forward to a day of studying for my college exams." Miles Morales grumbled, taking his pants to partially reveal his suit underneath.

"You just came back from Christmas break, what the hell?" Ben Reiley coudn't help but ask, making sure his bag back was well hidden. He was actually looking forward to being a substitute for the day but no, Hydro Man had to come and screw that up."

"I don't know man but it is what it is." Miles Morales replied.

"Me and the younger me I told you guys about is are nearly there." Spider-Man said.

"Got it. See you there, Spider-Man." Ben Reilly said, slipping his mask on before firing a web line, swing into the city.

Manhattan

Lorna sighed, taking a sip of her beer, trying her damn hardest to drown out the bed memories of being Mephisto’s puppet, killing her Aunt and Uncle and nearly rapping Alex, filling her with shame and self-loathing. It didn’t matter that Alex had been understanding and saying it wasn’t her fault, but it didn’t matter in her eyes. She couldn’t be anywhere near him or the rest of the team without guilt pooling at her gut.

“I think you’ve had enough.” She looked up to see Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, looking knowingly at her, concern etched on to their features.

“What do you want?”

“Just checking up on you.” Quicksilver shrugged.

The daughter of Magneto sighed. “I appreciate you both helping me but I’d rather be alone.”

“Being alone isn’t always the answer Or the healthiest choice.” Scarlet Witch said knowingly.

Lorna wanted to snort at the response but said nothing, debating it for a moment.

“Then try out the new chocolate mountain I got.” Lorna said, as Quicksilver looked over it.

“Where’d you get it?” He inquired.

“Ghost-Maker.” The twins raised an eyebrow at her, disbelief etched in their features. “We’re not friends… hell, we’re barely able to stand each other in the same room. Mostly on my part but still…” She sighed. “Might as well tell you guys the story. Take a seat.”

The two of them do, looking at her in curiosity though Quicksilver’s eyes flicker towards the chocolate fountain.

Lorna sighed. “You can have it. Not a big of fan sugary treats anyway.”

Quicksilver grinned, speeding towards it before returning to the couch, mowing down the poor chocolate.

“Sorry… speedster metabolism.” He said in between bites. The two sisters shared a look before they shook their heads, used to their brother’s antics.

“I was on vacation in Bogota, Colombia. Got involved with a Cartel who had ongoing dealings with Mutant trafficking. Ran into a kid named Marcos, who had the mutant ability of heat vision.  They were after him and so I… took him in.” Lorna explained, a pang of grief in her hurt.

“You cared for him…” Scarlet Witch noted, seeing the furlong look on her sister’s face.

“Like a son. Or at least a younger brother.” Lorna admitted. “I was forced to work with Ghost-Maker, who tracked the Cartel from Bogota all to Tokyo, Japan. We clashed… a lot due to our very different personalities.”

“I can imagine.” Quicksilver said, sharing a look with his twin.

“One time I even kicked him in the balls for a crude joke he made about you two.” Lorna said. “Something always wanting to have twins that were a boy and girl in bed. Though he mostly wanted you.”

“Of course, he did…” Scarlet Witch said with sigh. One of the unfortunate side effects of their lifestyle meant the internet had a strange… obsession with them. Especially what they do in private in the bedroom. When she first heard about it, she was a tad confused and morbidly curious though once she saw some of the comments, she decided to never go down that rabid hole again. Good thing Hawkeye had helped deal with that one. Along with tons and tons of therapy and many other things.

“But everything when to hell because he wanted to use Marcos as bait without my knowledge or approval.” Lorna revealed. “He used a tranq dart to knock me out. When I woke up, they were both gone. It was then I realized what he planned on doing and I bolted like a bat out of hell towards the warehouse we had tracked them down and I… saw bodies everywhere.” Her breathed hitched.

Flashback, 1 year and 4 months ago…

Lorna looked around the warehouse, seeing Ghost-Maker covered in blood, corpses littered around everywhere as he makes sure they’re all dead. She sees the head of the Cartel dead and to her horror, Marcos, who is bleeding out due to a stray shot.

She runs over, looking over him. “No, nonononono…” She then saw a bullet wound in his abdomen. She placed her hands on it, trying to staunch the bleeding. “Stay with me, Please…”

“Gracias…” Marcos breathed before he went limp in her arms. Lorna’s tears streamed down her cheeks, sobbing her heart out as she held Marcos body tightly.

Ghost-Maker looked over to her, grim. He is now partially starting to regret doing what we did. If only because he is about to face off against a pissed Alpha Level mutant.

Lorna’s sobs stop for a moment, taking a deep breath. She turned around to give Ghost-Maker a look of pure, murderous rage, eerily similar to her father and half-sister, her eyes glowing green.

She pinned him using the metal throughout the warehouse, pinning him to the wall.

“Let me make this clear…” Lorna growled, grip tightening on him as he let out a tiny hiss of pain. “If I see you again or hear you putting another kid’s life in danger like this, I will make you beg for the sweet release of death… is that understood?”

“Duly noted.” Ghost-Maker said.

“Good.” She released her hold on him, allowing to rub his sides and arms in pain. She walked over to Marcos’ body, picking him up and carrying him out bridal style towards the car she came here. She needed to give him a proper burial in his home…

End of Flashback

Lorna wiped some tears from her eyes, as both of siblings hold each of her hand.

“Lorna, I… I can’t even imagine.” Scarlet Witch said.

“Why didn’t you call me?” Quicksilver asked. “I would have been there to help you, regardless if you and I were on the best of terms.”

“I wasn’t ready to talk to either of yet and I didn’t want to burden either of you why my troubles.” Lorna admitted.

“That’s what siblings are for, Lorna.” Scarlet Witch pointed out. “There are some burdens we can’t hold on our and it’s okay to ask for help to carry them, even for a moment.”

Lorna took a deep, shaky breath, grateful for both of them being here.

“Well, I think I should give a more comedic story…” Lorna mused, feeling as if the atmosphere had gotten too dark for her tastes. “Help ease the tension

Flashback

Lorna walked through the city, Dawn on a leash when she accidently bumped into someone.

“I am so…” Lorna trailed off, staring at the man.

Tyler Hayward gave her a baleful glare. The former director of S.W.O.R.D. had been up her ass due to the simple she is the daughter of Magneto and also a mutant. In other, prejudice and him being an asshole.

“How are you doing, sir?” Lorna asked, if only to be polite to one up when he inevitably turns into a full on jackass.

“Cut the bullshit, Dane.” Hayward snapped. “Might as well spill the beans for whatever you and your dad are planning.”

Lorna shot him a look. “I have not spoken to my sperm donor nor do I plan to.”

“We all now that’s a load of bullshit.” Hayward grumbled. “You share the same abilities as him and worked with him for years. What’s not to say you have the inclinations or belief as he does about us humans?”

“Enough!” Lorna snapped.

Hayward smirked, smug. “Is that a confession?”

“I wasn’t talking to you.” Lorna remarked. “I was talking to my dog.”

Hayward looked down, seeing Dawn was peeing on his shoe.

“Jesus fucking Christ!” Hayward hissed in frustration.

Dawn merely sat down, looking at her owner, wagging her tail as her expression was the equivalent of a smile. Or as best one can get from a dog.

“Good girl…” Lorna cooed, giving Dawn some nice scratches.

Hayward growled, pulling out his gun, aiming at Dawn. Lorna’s eyes glowed green, glaring at Hayward.

‘Hot or cold’ was the unspoken message from her. After a moment, Hayward put his gun away, glaring at Lorna before walking away.

Lorna smiled at Dawn. “You’re getting some nice treats today. How’s a nice peace of chicken sound like?”

Dawn’s excited bark basically translated to ‘that sounds very nice.’

End of Flashback

All three siblings cackled at the story.

“No less than what the idiot deserves…” Quicksilver said, wiping a few tears from his eyes.

Unknown to them, a figure watched from outside, smiling softly.

‘At least my children are happy amongst each other. That is all that matters.’ Erik Lensherr internally mused. He put his helme on before flying away into the night.

Earth 42018, Vanaheim

Thor grunted, carrying two very heavy logs on his back. Norse Kratos was right behind him, in the same predicament.

“Just drop them right there, will you?” Lady Sif asked, not looking away from the map her, Freya, Freyr and Hildisvíni were looking over.

“Perhaps the abandoned village would be a good alternative for the Asgardian refugees?” Mimir suggested.

“The problem would be on if they can be willing to co-exist with the Vanir in peace.” Freyr pointed out.

“They will.” Thor grunted, placing the heavy logs on the ground with a hard thud. “Lest they want to deal with me.”

Lady Sif shot him a look. “Don’t like your father, Thor… be better than that. Like you said, take a page out of Tyr’s book.”

Thor looked sheepish for a moment before nodding. It was just so easy to fall into old habits. Especially when those were the habits you were raised to have. Still, he needed to be better. For Thrud…

“Perhaps we should speak to both parties before deciding anything.” Freya suggested. “See what the general consensus is.”

“The consensus will be no.” Norse Kratos stated bluntly. “You should put them both together in the village, regardless of the prejudices held by either side. Otherwise, they will never die out.”

Everyone stood there, stunned to silence at the Ghost of Sparta’s words.

“That’s… that’s actually a really good point.” Freyr mused, rubbing the back of his neck.

Loki joined them a moment later, having agreed to show up despite having been buried on locator spells in the Tower of Fate.

“Need a hand?” Loki asked, looking at the two Burly gods, amused at the sight for a moment.

“No!” Both grunted simultaneously.

“My friends!” They all turned to see King Thor, smiling warmly at them.

Loki’s eyes widen, rushing towards him, trapping him in a hug.

King Thor chuckled, hugging his brother back. “I told you, brother… the sun would shine on us again.”

Loki chuckled wetly, tears running down his cheeks. “I didn’t want to believe it but even still…”

It was then the God of Mischief noticed who has behind him. It was a doppelganger of Thor, a tad shorter than the other two but almost portly looking as Thor.

“I…” Odinson trailed off, unsure of what to say.

Loki separated from his brother, looking confused at him.

“He’s my Earth 199999 counterpart. The world we had been stuck in. I thought it be best if I brought him here to meet the others.” King Thor informed him.

“And why didn’t you take him to New Asgard first?” Loki asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Because I think what is there would most likely be too much for him. This is me easing him into the madness that has become the normality, brother.” King Thor explained.

Loki mulled over the idea, musing that his brother did have a good point. His eyes turned to see this alternate of his brother, seeing how different he was. The clothes and belly were noticeable along with the hair but that wasn’t what really caught his attention.

It was his eyes, filled with so much grief for all that he had lost. And from the way he gazed at him, he could already tell he was one of them.

“I’m dead, aren’t I?” Loki asked bluntly.

Odinson swallowed. “Yes… you are. Thanos snapped your neck right before my very eyes. I was powerless to stop it. Just as powerless as I was to stop him from stabbing Heimdall in the heart. Powerless to stop Hela from killing Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun. Powerless to stop our mother from being stabbed by a Dark Elf.”

Loki’s eyes softened in sympathy, placing a hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry… for all that you have endured.”

“Thank you.” Odinson’s throat felt dry.

“What’s this?” Thor walked, looking down at the much younger (and from the looks of it, weaker) counterpart of him and King Thor.

“What in Odin’s beard?” Odinson gasped, eyes widening at his giant counterpart. His similar in the way it was styled though it was chestnut rather than the blonde he and his Earth Prime counterpart had.

“He’s another one of us.” King Thor explained, putting his arms around Odinson’s shoulder.

“Really?” Thor raised eyebrow, unconvinced.

“Then it would seem he lacks discipline.” Norse Kratos noted.

“Well, depression, alcoholism and sitting around all day doing nothing but play video games and eating junk food does that to anyone.” Odinson said in slight defense of himself.

“Another reason why I have brought you here.” King Thor said. He looked around, wondering where…

“The lad’s gone off to try find wherever the giants may be. Thrud volunteered to go with him while Angrboda occasionally joins them though she must tend to Jotunheim and it’s furry inhabitants.” Mimir informed him. “Speaking of, it is damn good to see you well, Thor.” Words the smartest man alive never thought he would say.

“As am I, my friends.” King Thor said. “As for my reasoning bringing my counterpart, I believed training under you, Kratos, could restore him to his physical condition.”

“Hmm…” Kratos hummed, considering the prospect for a moment. “Very well. Your training begins tomorrow. Be here early.”

“I… I did not agree to this.” Odinson said.

“Don’t worry.” Loki said with a mischievous smile that did not fill him with any comfort at all. “He won’t kill you… he’ll just make you wish you were dead.”

Odinson groaned as everyone else chuckled as his misfortune. While Norse Kratos was certainly a damn good teacher (Atreus was clear proof of that), he was of the very strick variety.

Earth 199999, Unknown location

Gravik growled, his fist collided with the table, breaking it in two. Not a single word from Fury, Talos or anyone who had agreed to help them find a home whether on Earth or anywhere else.

But worse, Raava, who had been posing as Colonel James Rhodes since the incident in Germany’s Airport that left him paralyzed.

He took a deep breath, composing himself. He shifted back towards his human form, going to leave when a hand found itself wrapped around his throat.

“Where are the prisoners, Skrull?” Doctor Doom demanded to know.

“Who are you?” Gravik asked, looking perplexed at the Ruler of Latveria before a cold, dark gaze settled upon him, making the skrull shiver.

“I will not ask a second time.” Doctor Doom said simply, his grip tightening by a fraction of an inch as Gravik then began to explain everything, including the location of those they had replaced and their names.

Notes:

Finally back with the update. Sorry for the wait. Seems this story has a bit more left to it than I thought but it shall be over soon.

Earth 199999 X-Men have been introduced. For those wondering, it's the same cast as the 2000s X-Men films. The trilogy and X-Men origins Wolverine are all that's canon. For their secrecy, after the mess with Jean, Fury and the rest of SHIELD basically erased all known knowledge of mutants and as time went on, the public forgot about them. Think along the lines of what Aragorn did in his 'Heroes' series and his new one. BTW, check them both out because they are amazing.

And MCU Peter met his Prime Counterpart. Unfortunately, their planned training session was cut short because of Hydro Man. Something the other Spider people did not enjoy at all.

Thank you '9024multiverse' for the help with the bits with Lorna and her family alongside the flashbacks.

Finally brought back the God of War cast after a very long while. At least, the Norse cast. We will catch up the Greek Cast. Eventually.

And now the MCU Skrulls are dealt with. All because Doctor Doom was something they could not foresee messing up their plans. Then again, the EMH Skrulls was kind of screwed over because Doom there so there is some precedence to that.

Hope you all enjoyed this update. See you all next time but until then, adios.

Chapter Text

Outworld

Shao Kahn held the cosmic cube in his hand, looking through it all the countless worlds and universe throughout the Multiverse. He was intrigued by the endless possibilities, even if they had less than desirable ends for him and his plans.

He was broken out of his thoughts with the door to his throne room opening. King Eredin Breacc Glas of the Wild Hunt entered, Lord Shen at his side.

“Emperor Shao Kahn.” Both bowed, very reluctantly.

“Have you found it?” Shao Kahn inquired, looking at them sternly.

“We have located Monster Zero.” Eredin reported. “And we have done as you ask to keep the heroes busy for the time. Though it would seem Nova Prime and Lex Luthor’s soon to be unleashed plans will do just that.”

Shao Kahn smirked. He had been using the cosmic cube to dissuade those who wish to travel to Outworld to wait for another time whenever the urge came but there was only so long it would last before they would realize something was wrong. He couldn’t risk his plans being thwarted due to early knowledge of them.

“Good. That should keep them busy for the time being.” Shao Kahn said, a smirking gracing his lips. Still, he needed to still to be on top of things. And out of the threats there was to his plans, there was only one who felt even the slightest bit of fear. It wasn’t Liu Kang, Raiden or anyone that was a part of their growing army against the great Crisis.

It was Megatron.

Specifically, Earth Prime Megatron, for his Earth 2010 counterpart had lost his bite due to his time as Unicron’s slave.

Out of all the ones they would all supervillains, he was one of the oldest and strongest, can look down at beings of unimaginable power in the eye and not bow down, even if he is outmatched at times. His will, cunning, experience and power made him the most dangerous player in the chess board, even over the likes of Doctor Doom. Because at least he was willing to work with the heroes for the coming Crisis, despite the alliance being on shaky ground due to their past entanglements with him.

But Megatron? He was his own agent and had the power to hold his own against the heroes and despite the fact he would lose in the end, he would not go down without a fight and would in fact kill several of them before his knees would ever touch the ground.

For Megatron is commanded by no one. And he was so much like him that it silently made the Emperor of Outworld terrified of the Leader of the Decepticons. But… he would need to wait for an opportunity to remove him from the board. Doing so would undoubtedly lead to searches across everywhere they can and Outworld would not be exempt from it.

For now, he would wait for him to capitalize on the moment. For he was many things, but impatience was not one of them. And he was never one to let an opportunity to go waste.

Besides, he had other business to attend. Monster Zero needed to be tamed and he needed to track down… what was his name again? Mojo Mojo, he believes These stupid names are getting annoying to keep track of. Still, he was required given he wished to have not just a live audience in his Coliseum but across all the Multiverse for the combatants’ loved ones to bear witness. He may take some… persuasion but the emperor of Outworld can most be certainly convincing. He managed to trick his predecessor, Onaga, the Dragon King himself.

Earth 1999999, Stark Mansion

It had been years since Tony had stepped foot in the old family home but given the Avengers Compound had been blown to hell thanks to Thanos and Avengers Tower had been sold (which when Iron-Man learned he sold it, he was rightfully pissed).

Though it did have plenty of space for everyone that was staying. Currently residing was Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes (he was going to have to get used to that), and Bruce Banner though they were all currently out.

Which was most like for the best given it would mostly definitely be too much for the real Rhodey, who sat next to him, clearly still processing the fact he had been replaced for 7 years.

Tony himself guilty for not seeing the signs though the Earth prime Avengers assured him that same thing happened to them. They had no idea it had been Captain America who was a Skrull, causing them to split.

“You holding up okay?” Tony said, offering him a glass of water.

“Not really…” Rhodey sighed, taking a sip of his water. “7 years of my life… taken from me because of green alien shapeshifter. My mind’s still not able to process that little fact.”

“Take all the time you need, Rhodey.” Pepper Potts said consolingly, holding the man’s hand, giving him a warm smile.

“I’m just glad you guys are still around.” Rhodey admitted. “And Tony, about the Accords… we were wrong. We were so damn wrong about them.”

“Yeah… we really were.” Tony sighed. “Maybe if I hadn’t been such an idiot, you’d still be able to walk.”

“Yeah, that’s gonna take some time to get used to.” Rhodey mused, looking at his legs.

“I’ll work on the spinal implant.” Tony promised. “You’ll get your mobility back in no time.”

Rhodey gave his friend a shaky smile. “Thanks… I owe you one.”

“You’ve been there for me at my worst.” Tony pointed out. “This is the least I can do. Especially when this is my fault.”

Rhodey stared at his friend, seeing the look in his eye. He hadn't seen look since he came back from Afghanistan. The fire of determination in his eyes to right his wrongs.

"Daddy? Mommy?" All three turned to see Five-year-old Morgan Stark and an apologetic looking Happy Hogan.

"Hey, Rhodey..." Tony walked over to Morgan and picked her up. "I think it's time you met my greatest invention. Say hi to Uncle Rhodey."

"Hi Uncle Rhodey." Morgan waved her hand.

Rhodey stared at them. So much happened while he was away.

"Hi, Morgan. Nice to meet you."

X-Mansion

“The X-Men huh?” Sam asked, seeing the Black bird. “Guess you were the Avengers before the Avengers.”

“In a way.” Ororo Munroe mused. “Though we never did fight aliens like you guys did.”

“Yeah. 0 out of 10. Would not recommend.” Sam quipped, earning chuckles from everyone in the room.

“These suits suck.” Bucky said bluntly, looking over the black leather esque suits.

“Those are the old suits though some of us got more colorful costumes. You should Logan’s. He got it from his time in Japan thanks to Yashida Mariko.” Ororo said.

“Yashida?” Bucky raised an eyebrow. “Why does that sound familiar…”

“You might have met her grandfather during World War 2.” Nat replied. “He was a survivor of one of the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan. Nagasaki.”

“How’d you know that?” Ororo inquired.

“Fury was forthcoming with certain details.” Nat explained. “Besides, he owed all of us. Big time.”

“Something personal, I imagine?” Ororo asked. She took the former Russian Spy’s silence as her answer.

“Your retired?” Steve asked, as the two walked through the halls.

“Mostly.” Logan sighed. “I help the team with training and on the more dangerous missions but… I think I’ve earned some peace after all this time.”

“If half of what I heard is true, you’ve earned a thousand times over, Logan.” Steve said. “I’m just glad a familiar face is still around.”

“Same here.” Logan replied, lips quirking into a smile. “I always wondered when you were going to track me down but I guess you being involved SHIELD, who later revealed themselves to be HYDRA and then going on the run kept you busy.”

“If I had known you were still around, I would have gotten in contact with you as soon as possible.” Steve said sincerely.

“Don’t lose sleep over it, Cap.” Logan said. “You didn’t know but now you do. We’ve got plenty of time to catch up.”

“Yeah…” Steve said, looking to the outside of the Xavier school for Gifted Youngster’s, knowing it was far from the truth. It may be two years out but a Crisis was coming “… we do, don’t we?”

“Um… Dad, why is Captain America here?” Steve blinked, seeing a girl in her late teens no doubt, looking at Logan curiously.

“That’s cause we are old war buddies.” Logan explained. He looked at Steve, the perplexed expression. “Meet my um… daughter. Laura.”

“Oh…” Steve said. “You have a kid?”

“It’s complicated.” Logan said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

“Don’t forget you unofficially adopted Anna Marie.” Laura said smartly.

“I did not!” Logan said defensively though it sounded weak even to Steve’s ears.

The First Avengers lips curved upward in amusement. “You’ve been busy.”

“Don’t you start, Bub.” Logan said, pointing a finger. “I need a beer. And a cigar.”

“Don’t you get that everyday?” Laura replied smartly. Only reason she never tried to stop his habit of smoking and drinking was because it had not effect on him thanks to his healing factor.

Steve let out a light chuckle, especially when he saw Logan’s sour expression.

Harvard University

Bruce Banner sat on a bench, no longer in Hulk form. With the help of Prime Doctor Strange, he and Hulk were now to separate beings and had a long, long talk where they were now able to find some common ground. He could still be Professor Hulk but the big guy hadn't exactly been pleased by that and would Banner not use that form unless neccesary.

It had helped that his counterpart had told him what to expect and how to deal with it. Along with him and Betty, which made him think of his own Betty. It had been so many years, that he had pushed from the recess of mind because he thought they would never be able to be happy together with her father and Hulk but he never stopped loving her. Not even for a second.

Still, some students were able to recognize him as the Hulk, which did make him uncomfortable, but it was a reality he would have to learn to deal with as time went on.

“Bruce?” He stilled, muscles tensing at oh so familiar voice. He swallowed, turning to see Betty Ross.

“Hey, Betty.” Bruce said, swallowing the lump in his throat. “It’s been a while.”

“13 years.” Betty said.

“Yeah…” Bruce let out a deep sigh. “How have you been good?”

“Well, you must have heard the stories?” Bruce said and Betty nodded.

“I have,” Betty agreed. “So…how are the two of you? Any…progress?”

“Yeah, we…made peace. You were right all those years ago. He was never a disease, he was…part of me.” Bruce said, trying to explain but not sure he succeeded. “It took someone in a similar position to get to open my eyes to that reality.”

“Good, that’s good,” Betty said, seeming happy for him.

“So, is there…anyone special in your life?” Bruce asked awkwardly, trying to keep his voice even and collected as can be.

From the amused smile, the Gamma expert wasn’t so sure he succeeded. “No. You?” she asked.

“No.” Bruce shook his head.

“Good.” Betty said, much to his confusion. She pulled him into a kiss, which surprised him for a moment before he reciprocated it.

Africa

T’Challa took a deep breath, relishing the feeling of being on the ship once more as he returned home, Shuri having fallen asleep on his left shoulder and Okoye piloted the Royal Talon fighter. Despite having been dead for five years, which seemed only moment for him, he still welcomed the tranquility over the case, if only for a little.

“Resting well?” Black Panther asked knowingly.

“Indeed.” T’Challa said. It was still a little jarring seeing someone so similar yet so different at the time to him. And it was him though a different version of him at that. He was still wrapping his head around it all. “I simply wish to see my family.”

“Does that include anyone special?” Black Panther couldn’t help but ask.

“Nakia.” T’Challa said with a smile that soon left at the look his counterpart had. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, it’s just… my Nakia was far from pleasant in my world. And my wife is Ororo Munroe, Storm of the X-Men, the queen of Wakanda and mother of our son.” Black Panther explained, making T’Challa blink several times.

“I… I see.” T’Challa said.

“You and Nakia have a child, don’t you?” Black Panther hypothesized, seeing the look on his face.

T’Challa sighed. “I do not know. But there are times, I wish could be a father though I am unsure of her opinion on motherhood.”

“Despite only having Azari for a few months, I can assure you it as rewarding as it is difficult.” Black Panther said knowingly. “And despite my duties as King of Wakanda and the Black Panther, there is very little I would not do for my child.”

T’Challa looked contemplative, mulling over his counterpart’s words.

“My King, we are home.” Okoye said.

They entered through Wakanda’s dome, as T’Challa smiled.

“This never gets old.” T’Challa said.

“It most certainly does not.” Black Panther added.

They landed near the palace as Ramonda trapped both of her children in a tight hug, to hell with the formalities.

“Bast has brought you back both well…” Ramonda said, tears streaming down her cheeks.

“I am grateful to be alive, mother.” T’Challa said. He looked to see Nakia, who looked tentative in her approach. “Nakia…”

She pulled him into a kiss, which he quickly kissed back before they separated.

“We need to talk.” Nakia said.

“That we do.” T’Challa said.

“But first… I am glad to see you are alive.” Nakia said.

“As am I, Nakia.” T’Challa smiled.

“Um, mother…” Shuri trailed off, looking over to Black Panther.

“Greetings, Queen mother.” Black Panther said in a kind bow.

“Enough with the formalities. I told her about you.” Shuri said, rolling her eyes.

“I see…” Black Panther took of his mask, allowing Ramonda to gaze at his features.

She paused before softly grabbing his hands. “You look so much like T’Chaka.”

Black Panther smiled. “My mother always said the same thing. Even now more than ever.”

Hell’s Kitchen

Daredevil raced across the rooftops, knowing the reason he had been asked to come here. To track his counterpart down. Shouldn’t be hard given it was night time and crime would definitely have an uptick. Especially given he had been brought back with the snap.

He heard the Billy club aimed at him, able to grab it before it could even come close to him.

“Who are you?” Matt Murdock demanded to know, in full Daredevil costume. He had gotten it back thanks to Brett Mahoney giving it to him and having had some help to modify to fit him.

“You really don’t recognize me, Matt?” Daredevil asked.

Matt stilled, taking in his scent.

“What the…?” He stilled. “How… how is this possible?”

“Ever heard of the Multiverse theory?”

London

Marc Spector, though currently it was Jake Lockley, walked through the hallways of the London Museum, keeping his eye out for his counterpart. He had done a little research and manage to track him to London for some God forsaken reason, but it was where it led him.

“Ah, Mr. Lockley.” Jake said, earning a look from him.

“What it is?” Lockley asked in a British accent.

“Do you mind if we have a private conversation elsewhere.” Jake said.

“Sorry, mate but I don’t know you and I have work to do so if you will…” Jake placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Marc Spector, if you can hear me, take control of the body and meet me outside. Khonshu wishes to report something very important.” Jake said simply.

Lockley looked at him in confusion before his eyes shifted, glaring at him.

“How’d you know?” Earth 199999’s Fist of Khonshu demanded to know.

“Meet me outside and I’ll explain everything.” Jake Lockley said in business like tone. “Oh and don’t forget the suit. The one with the cape.”

  Earth Prime, Los Angelos

“It was so weird, Cass.” Johnny said, explaining to his daughter what happened.

“Damn, must have been something.” Cass mused.

“It was. Though it seems things are calming down now that everyone has been found.” Sonya said.

“MOM!” Cass exclaimed, looking at her mother, horrified. “You just tempted Murphy’s law! Never tempt Murphy, especially in this line of work!”

Sonya winched, knowing her daughter had a point. Murphy had screwed them over so many times in the past. And she just invoked it.

“I’m not gonna add anything because then we’d just get screwed over again.” Johnny said.

“The one time you’re actually smart.” Jax grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

“I have my moments.” Johnny said simply.

“Somehow, some way.” Jax said, earning a middle finger from the ex-actor.

New Asgard, Norway

King Thor led Odinson through the growing settlement, which grew to resemble the old Asgard by the day.

“There is someone I believe you should meet.” King Thor said.

Outside of Loki (who he had already met in Vanaheim), who could possible be of interest to him? The Warriors Three, perhaps? Heimdall?

His heart lurched at his dead comrades, wishing they were with him now.

“Thor?” Sif asked. She smiled, wrapping her arms around her husband. “I knew you were alive. I tried search you through the Cosmos but found nothing.”

“I was sent to another dimension, Sif. You could not have found not matter hard you tried.” King Thor said. “But know that I am glad to be home with you all. How is Torrun?”

“She was fussy without you though it seem she found a favorite uncle.” Sif informed as Beta Ray Bill walked in, holding Torrun gently in his arms.

“Thor?” The Korbinite’s eyes widen. He placed a Torrun in Sif’s arms, grabbing him in a bear hug.

“Tis good to see you, brother Bill.” King Thor said.

“It most certainly is.” Beta Ray Bill said. “I almost thought you had died in the battle of Asgard thanks to that Ragnarök beast.”

“I was wounded gravely though I survived. I was sent to another dimension, one similar to ours yet so different.”

“I can imagine it be so.” Beta Ray Bill said, noticing Odinson. “Greetings. I am Beta Ray Bill, Champion of the Korbinites and Oathbrother of King Thor Odinson of Asgard.”

Sif looked him over. “The future has not been kind, to you.” It was a statement, not a question.

“No… no it hasn’t.” Odinson said.

“Even the greatest of us can fall.” Beta Ray Bill said.

“What matters is how you choose to respond. Lay down and wallow in pity or get up and fight like the warrior you are.” Sif said.

Odinson nodded. “Then in choose to fight.”

“Good answer.” Sif smiled. “Would you like to hold her?”

Odinson contemplated for a moment before nodding in affirmation.

Sif gently placed her in his hand, showing him how to hold her.

Torrun stared at him, wide eyed. Her hands soon found itself in his long beard, pulling on it.

Odinson let out a light chuckle. “She’s beautiful.”

“She most certainly is.” Sif said.

“Though her looks are clearly from her mother.” Angela said, entering the room.

“Um… who are you?” Odinson inquired.

“Uh… let’s just say father had more children than one might think.” King Thor said simply. He wrapped his arms around Angela, who looked seconds away from cutting that arm off. “This my half-sister, Angela.”

“WHAT!?!?!” Odinson shouted, earning a fussy baby, which means they are seconds from crying. Sif took her from his hands, placing Torrun on Beta Ray Bill’s before leveling them both a look.

“Oh dear…”

Sky Temple

Raiden recuperated in the Jinsei chamber, feeling his strength slowly returning to him.

“How are you feeling, brother?” Fujin asked.

“Better, Fujin.” Raiden said, walking out of the Jinsei, feeling restored. “Though I am concerned with the growing weakening barriers.”

“Indeed. Me and the other Gods have to close our fair share of breaches into our dimension.” Fujin informed him. “It would seem as Crisis comes near, these incursions grow. Still, our forces are far larger than we could have ever hoped for.”

“Let us pray it is enough, Fujin.” Raiden said with a sigh. “For I have feeling dark times are coming in the near future. And this next two years will filled with conflict.”

“Let us hope that is not the case.” Fujin said simply.

“As do I, Fujin.” Raiden said. “As do I.”

Avengers Tower, One week later…

Steve Rogers stepped out of the breach, looking around.

“Welcome, soldier.” Captain America said, shaking his hand.

“Steve Rogers.” Superman landed in front of them. “Pleasure to meet you.”

“Pleasure to meet you to, Mr. …” Steve trailed off, unsure of what to say.

“I go by Superman though you can call me Clark Kent.” The Man of Tomorrow replied kindly.

“Superman…” Steve said, looking at his counterpart. “You’ve certainly surrounded yourself with an interesting group of people.”

“Oh, it gets better.” Superman said knowingly. The two of them led him to enormous garage.

They looked at a 2014 Western Star 5700XE Phantom Sleeper Cab Semi-Truck in particular, who’s front faced the elevator.

“You can come out now.” Captain America said.

The truck soon transformed into his 28 foot biped form, kneeling in front of them as he looked at Steve in particular.

“Steve Rogers. I have heard much about you from your counterpart.” The mech said simply.

“And you are?” Steve asked politely.

“My name is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. We hail from the planet Cybertron.” Optimus Prime replied.

“I see.” Steve said, taking all this information in.

“I know how you feel.” Captain America. “Though you’re going to have to get used to it, soldier.”

“You know, I still miss the days where the weirdest thing science made was me.” Steve said, earning a few chuckles.

“Welcome to our multiversal alliance, Captain Rogers.” Optimus Prime said.

Steve nodded, humbled. “Glad to be hear.”

“Now, I think it is time you learned of Crisis.” Captain America said.

Notes:

And here we are. I did not expect an update so soon but I got the urge time so here we are. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.

We got some further insight into Shao Kahn and his plans. Wonder how that will all play out? *Smirks evilly*

The scene with Bruce and Betty was heavily inspired by Stand_With_Ward_And_Queen's Crisis on Two Earths, where they reunited. I didn't do the Hulk and Bruce reconciling thing because other authors have done it better than I ever could.

I won't lie, writing the bits with T'Challa and Black Panther, especially given Chadwick Boseman's passing, did make me tear up a little.

Odinson has officially met his daughter from another dimension along with Sif and Beta Ray Bill.

Hope you all enjoyed the reunions and doppelgangers meeting each other.

Steve has officially Optimus the fricking Prime himself along with Superman. Can't wait for the future interactions with them and those that will be added. *Smirks*.

Next chapter will be the credits and a tease for the future. Will up soon so keep an eye out for it. With all that said, see you all next time.

Chapter Text

Lex Luthor’s voice spoke. “Have you ever wondered… why I hate you, Superman?”

Their previous battles across over the years raced through the kryptonian’s mind.

“Yeah but it’s always been because I represent what you never will be to the people of Metropolis.” Superman said simply.

“And what’s that?”

“Hope.”

Megatron stared at his world. “This planet belongs to Megatron!”

“No… not quite.”

“You and your band of freaks represent complacency. For when the day comes that Armageddon arrives and you aren’t there, how are we stop them when we’ve become so dependent on you.”

Tick Tick Boom by the Hives plays

The Suicide Squad put on their gear, grateful to be wearing it once more.

The Suicide Squad looked on, grim.

Peacemaker aimed his gun. “If we’re gonna die, let’s go out with a fucking bang.”

“Couldn’t agree more.” Bloodsport got his guns ready. “Let’s the live up to our names.”

“Michaels, what the hell have you gotten us into?” Bloodsport growled. “It’s a fucking warzone out here.”

“This has one way ticket written all over it.”

An explosion rocked Lexcorp.

“Task force X, you have a new mission.” Lyla Michaels looked at the screen before her.

Earth 2010 Shockwave looked at Orion Pax and Megatronous. “Your mission was most illogical.”

The Suicide Squad looked as Batman dropped down, making them all tense from the blankness in his eyes.

“Great, evil Batman. What can be worse than that?”

Two other Batmen along with three Green Arrows and Black Canaries dropped down, the same blank expression.

Peacemaker shot Yelena a look.

“Raise your hand if taking on the Justice League is the worst idea you’ve ever heard?”

Several of the Suicide Squad looked confused at Deadshot.

“I kind of zoned out.” Peacemaker admitted, earning glares.

“You thought could crawl out of your cells? Swoop in, save the day?” Flash of Earth 2009 looked at them, unimpressed.

Luthor looked on, smirking.

Daken charged at Wolverine while Jackal swung his blade at Deathstroke.

The Justice League looked at Luthor, glaring at the man.

A Lexcorp’s employee head was blown off, much to the shock of the squad.

“He’s not gonna make it.” Yelena said, earning a head shake from King Shark.

“Tune in next time to enjoy my awesomeness folks!” Deadpool said.

“Hey, I’m also here!” Wade Wilson added.

“Shut up, Ryan Reynolds!” Deadpool shot Wade in the head.

“Eat a bag of dicks, Nolan North!” Wade threw his katana to his head.

“Welcome, Justice League… to the end of the world.” A voice spoke.

Notes:

And at last, a tease for the next installment, 'Operation: LexCorp'. Finally, gonna get around to this story. Been waiting for this for a long time and now, it is here. The first chapter will be posted later this week, most likely next weekend. Give myself time to get a head start on the chapters.

Hope you all enjoyed this story and teaser. See you all next time

Notes:

So, they get quickly introduced. Next chapter will include a more in depth explanation for those who are coming into this series now and do not wish to read the entire series up until now. Should you still have any questions about the series after this fic is over, please ask so in the comments and I will explain.

Our first meeting with the two world's heroes has happened. Rushed but given how the Prime Avengers are extremely close friends, Thor's condition took precedence and despite it all, they saw an alternate of a good friend badly wounded.

So, yeah. T'Challa is a lot sneakier ala his EMH introduction. He's also much more weary and battle hardened, so of course he's going to learn all he can about this new dimension despite the similarities to his own.

So, yeah... I'm going to kind of be tackling Secret Invasion but not really as the MCU version was some hot garbage. Seriously, what is wrong with Feige not telling people to read the comics they are literally adaption?! That is biggest red flag for any adaption, secondly to downright disdain of the source material.

For those of you who have not read the comics, Caiera in the comics was Hulk's lover and the mother Skaar. Probably one of the few times he could 'smash' someone without killing them, LOL! Plus, this sets up a plot point for later on that won't be shit like how the MCU in She-Hulk did it. If you know, you know. If not, wait patiently till the end.

Thor will have a discussion with his parents while stuck in a sort of Purgatory. The conversation will of course reveal the why but anyone who knows Thor may be able to connect the dots in their head. If you do, please keep it to yourself cause otherwise, your comments will be deleted.

So, hope you all enjoyed this story. Appreciate comments and kudos but will delete hate.
