Emma scoffed, “Can’t believe you thought this was real.” Jay was just a distraction to move on from the shooting. She would’ve done it with anybody.
Jay rolled his eyes, trying not to feel hurt. Even though he hooked up with a lot of girls while dating Alex, something about Emma was so…irresistible. But it wasn’t like they had some sort of loving connection. Jay Hogart doesn’t do love.
But then why did it feel like his heart was breaking into a million pieces?
