Summary:

Following the aftermath of Solomon's Sallow's death at Sebastian's hands, Sebastian, Ominis, and Jaster (male player character) must now navigate how to work together and keep this secret from coming out, or ruining themselves and their complicated trifecta friendship. Not only that, now that all three are without guardians to stay with, who will Sebastian, Ominis, and Jaster end up staying with during the summer holiday? And is there room for someone else--with a love of potions--to become friends with the Trio amidst their struggles?

Read to follow the Slytherin Trio (Sebastian, Ominis, and Jaster) on how they navigate through the remainder of their 5th year and the summer holiday following the end of term as they attempt to stay above water in the aftermath of the incident inside the Feldcroft Catacomb.

This is Part I of the series "In the Shadow of the Slytherin Trio." The eventual part II will cover 6th year and the summer holiday following that, with Part III covering 7th Year and the months following Graduation from Hogwarts.

Chapter 1: Notes

Author’s Notes: Hi all! Thank you for taking the time to read this fic! Some things to know going in:

Everything up to the completion of the final mission of the Sebastian Sallow Arc will have occurred in game without any plot changes (for the most part, the branch offs will be obvious) for a male Slytherin PC character. Everything that takes place moving forward in the fic will be AU.

There will be some varied events during the game’s events:

A slightly altered rendition of events before and during the PC and Sebastian's duel against Solomon Sallow in the catacomb. You’ll see the departures clearly in the dialogue.

And a few other changes big and small that come with an AU fic.

The Main storyline and other main side quests will be resolved off screen, this fic focuses heavily on the friendship and interactions between Sebastian, Ominis, and the PC, otherwise referred to as the Slytherin Trio (eventually lol). Never fear though, this won’t be a Slytherin only fic!

This is a slow burn fic for the relationship aspect. And when I mean slow burn, I do mean slow burn. This fic will be the first of three arcs that will take place over the remainder of 5th year and its summer holiday, 6th year plus summer holiday, and then 7th year! So buckle in folks!

I will do my best to update as often as possible, but I’m super busy with work. So I don’t want to set a release schedule and set up expectations I can’t oblige.
