Work Text:
All his life Seungmin had woken up with contacts still to in. He was practical and precise with absolutely everything he did. Every night before bed he had a small orange case where his put his contacts to rest until morning.
So when he found himself staring at an extremely detailed tattoo of a snake with a bird carrying some kind of knife, onto some dudes neck with no blurry patches what-so-ever. He panicked.
In his own way though, Kim Seungmin never really freaked out. At least, not in the company of others.
He sat up then realized even that his back hurt like hell whenever he moved. Only his mind didn’t process that and instead he leaned forward and had to cover his mouth before the chocked cry of pain erupted from his lips. Seungmin slowly glanced back over to the other males sleeping form and let out a sigh of relief when he saw him deep in sleep.
Slowly, Seungmin laid back down, his heart still racing but calming down steadily. He found himself taken aback by how the other guy in the sheets looked. He had the most unreal features Seungmin had ever seen and it almost made him glad he’d slept with someone this breathtakingly beautiful. Then he reminded himself this guy was probably a total asshole.
The evidence, was the pack of cigarettes not far from them on the bed and the terrifying tattoo that snaked from his shoulders down below the blankets.
Seungmin belatedly realized he’d probably slept with a gang member of some kind. And that ended the little fantasy for him as he slipped out of the bed, bitting his lip from the pain the entire time. He was thankful he was already wearing a blank white T-shirt and gray sweatpants. Though, he wasn’t sure whose sweatpants they were.
Suddenly, he heard the bed creaking loudly. His heart jolted a million miles per hour as he pictured looking behind him and finding the dark cold eyes of a delinquent staring back at him. He didn’t think he could handle it.
Instead, he stumbled pasted the bed to pick up his keys from the ground as he bolted out of the door. Not even registering the voice that called after him.

It had been a day or two since the incident and Seungmin had been dying to tell his best friend about it. Unfortunately, he wasn’t getting any response. About two weeks ago after his best friend, Felix had broken up with his boyfriend of one month, Hyunjin, he’d stopped answering anybody’s texts.
Seungmin didn’t worry and was quite used to it, Felix went through men more than he condoms. Which was saying something because Seungmins best friend was a stripper. And while Seungmin loved Felix, he could be very dramatic at times.
Seungmin banged on Felix’s door loudly.
“Felix! Open up, I’ve got food.” It was only about three seconds before the door creaked open warily. Felix looked as messed up as someone as pretty as Felix could get. Which- need flash, wasn’t very messed up at all.
Felix looked up at him and poured his lips in a firm line of clarity. “I’m not letting you in so you can call me an idiot.” Felix huffed.
Seungmin gave him a deadpan stare.
“Fine, I’ll do it out here. You’re an idiot for dating a delinquent bozo. Okay now let me in.”
After a minute more of bantering one of Felix’s neighbors screamed at them to shut up and Felix let him in.
Currently, Seungmin watched as Felix devoured the burrito and five tacos Seungmin had ordered for him. Despite sometimes acting like the spoiled princess Seungmin teased him about, Felix was the fittest gym bro Seungmin knew. Weight had never been a huge problem for Felix he burned it all of lifting weights and doing whatever it was that made him so toned and god like. The opposite of Seungmin in every way.
Seungmin just ate his taco salad quietly as his best friend slurped and gulped down his food noisily. Once he was done he waited patiently for Felix to finish and when he did Seungmin started with the questions.
“How did you two break up.” Seungmin said, more as a statement than a question because he already knew.
Felix sniffed and looked up at Seungmin from beneath his lashes pitifully. “He broke up with me over text. He said he wasn’t looking for commitment.”
Just like all the other… Seungmin thought but didn’t dare to say it out loud. Instead he rolled his eyes, “Of course he did.”
“I-I thought I had something with thought, I was sure of it. He blew off his friends to come see me once and he said he’d stop smoking when I asked!” Felix defended even though Seungmin had never attacked. Seungmin supposed his thoughts might have been visible in his bored expression.
“Yong-bok, it’s over, all those things were probably just lies and misinformation.” Seungmin put it simply.
But Seungmin was lying. He hoped Felix didn’t notice.
“B-but hyung, I could’ve sworn Hyunjin would be different.” Felix confided, more like pleaded for Seungmins recognition of his feelings. Instead, Seungmin swallow thickly.
“Well obviously, he wasn’t.” Seungmin stated, a tinge of annoyance hinted in his words.
He had never felt this angry at Felix in his life. It was like every word Felix said was a burn to his skin. He wanted to slap the shit out of the younger boy and get him to see for once that maybe he couldn’t fix a broken toy. Especially when that’s all he saw Seungmin as along with his other past relationships.
It turned out though, he didn’t need to slap Felix to get the pained look that appeared on Felix’s face when Seungmin chose to look at him. Like a splash of cold water, Seungmins anger evaporated.
Like a coward, he thanked Felix for his time and awkwardly fumbled with the door handle until he was on the other side of it. “What a shitty week.” He hissed to himself as he made his way down the stairs.
When he got to his apartment, Seungmin chose to ignore the rent due sign posted on his door in favor of pretending it didn’t exist. He’d hoped after tomorrows session at his latest tutoring gig, he’d be able to pay it.

Seungmin entered was waiting patiently for the student who went by the name of “Jin” to arrive.
His professor had sent him pieces of Jins files containing only his past school grades and Seungmin knew he would be a tough case. But Seungmin also knew he’d dealt with tougher.
At least, that’s what he assumed until Hwang Hyunin say himself into the chair across from Seungmin.
