Chapter Text
Everyone always complained about long ass days but lately his were becoming shorter... and shorter.
“Dunce face! I swear to mother fucking god if you fried your brain again!” He growled into his headset, glaring at the screen like it was the one that personally insulted him. “Chargebolt!?” Katsuki shook his head furiously and slammed down on the switch board to a nearby hero. “Oi! Where the fuck is Chargebolt?!”
“Hey dispatch!” Great. Fucking fantastic! He got the gold retriever. “Uh... he fried himself again.” Red Riot whispered. “Deku’s taking care of it at the moment.”
Deku.
Hero Motherfucking Deku.
Katsuki ran his tongue over his front teeth. There’s been a lot of talk about Hero Deku lately. Not that he fucking cares or anything but after the massive building claspe a few weeks ago, he swore that—
“Bakugo! My office!”
“I didn’t fucking do it!” He shot back after muting his headset. “I ain’t even looked at the bitch!”
His boss sighed heavily. “Bakugo, just get in here.” Groaning, he got up from his chair and made his lovely way to the boss’s office. Sara was a fucking damn good boss. She put up with a lot of his shit that no one else would at his past jobs. “Close the door.”
Katsuki raised a blonde brow but closed the door and leaned against the wood with his arms folded over his chest. “Now I might actually be worried for once.” Sara rarely shut her door unless it was to fire someone. Write ups were even handled calmly and swiftly. No need to close the door.
Sara sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “The commissioner called this morning.” Well, that’s never fucking good. “He’s very concerned about our number one hero.” Sara lifted her blue eyes filled with concern. “I am too, to be honest. He’s nonstop working ever since the tragic accident.” Over a hundred people dead and the main picture on the news was Hero Deku carrying out a small child’s limp body with tears streaming down his freckled cheeks.
But what the hell did this have to do with him?
“And I’m here why?”
The sighed heavily. “I need you to be his dispatcher.”
“No.”
“Katsuki pl—”
“I’m not helping that selfless brat fucking kill himself!” Katsuki hissed. “I’m not going to bring down the number one hero because no one can tell him to go home and fucking take a nap.” Katsuki scuffed with a shake of his head. “Sorry, I ain’t fucking helping.”
Sara frowned a little. He knew that she knew he was right. “Look, I know you are all about healthy living. Good food, daily work outs, you go to bed by eight like a weirdo.” Katsuki rolled his crimson eyes. And? “The commission is looking for someone to get Deku back to himself... not the shell he is now. Japan is noticing. Like you said,” Sara’s icy blue eyes darkened to the color of the ocean floor. “We will lose our number one hero if someone doesn’t help him.”
The blonde rolled his neck until the deep crack echoed in his head. There was no point in arguing with the woman. It was a lose-lose battle. Either he helped or didn’t and the outcome could still be the same. “Fine but I want to leave early on Fridays and if he doesn’t fucking listen to me, I’m done.”
“Well... he is a little stubborn.” She cracked a small smile. “But a sweetheart so please don’t make him cry on patrol, Bakugo.”
“No promises.” Katsuki turned and quickly left the room. He glanced over his fellow coworkers as he walked back to his desk, plotting down in his chair. It’s going to be fucking fine. Not like he has some stupid crush on the idiot.
Nope.
No crush.
Nothing.
Katsuki put his headset in his ear and typed out his report on Chargebolt, sending it off to the commissioner. Next, he navigated through the list of comms and clicked on Deku’s name. Here goes fucking nothing. “Oi. The names Bakugo.”
“Um, what happened to—”
“That doesn’t really fucking matter.” Katsuki couldn’t help but smirk and the small hitch in the nerd’s breath. “I run this show now, Deku. What I say goes. If I fucking tell you to sit down and take a break, you do it. If I tell you to go and get lunch, you do it. If I tell you that you aren’t fit to work today, you go fucking home and take a shower then climb your nerdy ass into bed.
“I run your life now, Hero Deku. If I tell you to fucking jump...”
Deku let out a small groan of defeat, “I ask how high.”
“So, I heard from a certain hero that you are babysitting our sweetheart.” Camie wagged her eyebrow at him. “Tell me more.”
Katsuki scuffed, propping his feet up on the corner of her desk. “He’s a pain in my ass, Cam. That stupid nerd doesn’t know how to fucking take care of himself! Ask me what the idiot had for lunch today! Ask me!”
Camie rolled her brown eyes, “What did Hero Deku have—”
“Peanut butter and fucking jelly on damn white bread!” He spat angrily. God! He wanted to fucking throat punch the idiot. “That guy needs to eat like three thousand plus calories and who the fuck knows how much protein!”
And which is why he was sitting with Camie on the seventh floor of the building. Deku turned off his comms completely when Katsuki started to lay into him. Not the damn brightest move on his part but still! He’s the number one hero and doesn’t know jack shit how to take care of himself.
The woman poked his thigh with her French tip nail. “Kats, he carries a lot on his shoulders and that building... the girl, even I felt heartbroken.” She frowned a little. “Deku doesn’t even smile anymore—unless it’s fake af—he’s not himself, he has no one and he’s shutting everyone out.”
“That sounds like a him problem.”
Camie rolled her eyes again. She was damn good at that. “Yes but Katsuki... he’s alone. Mom died a few years ago. All Might in the war. He’s alone and pushing away the only few close friends he’s got.”
Katsuki grunted, shifting in the chair. “What your boyfriend can’t help him?”
“You know jack well Ei can’t push him. He won’t.” It was Katsuki’s turn to roll his eyes. “He saw Deku through some dark ass shit and Deku asked him not to push him.”
“Pussy.”
“He’s a sweetie! Stop it!”
“I’m sorry.” Katsuki smirked. “Pussy bitch.”
The blonde woman shoved his feet off her desk. “All I’m saying is, be his rock! You already have to babysit him. Be his friend.”
Katsuki gave her a dry look. “Bitch, I don’t have any friends.”
“Then what the hell am I?!”
“A pain in my ass.” He snickered.
Camie flipped him the finger before turning back to her desk. “Go play nice with Japan’s Sweetheart, blondie.”
Katsuki wanted to protest, fight and go back kicking and screaming like a toddler who didn’t get the toy they wanted. He wasn’t cut out for making friends or... being nice. That wasn’t who he was or how his mama raised him.
His mama slapped him around as a kid and screaming at each other was the way they showed love. Not whatever the fuck other moms did.
Getting up from the chair, he patted her on the head lightly. “Drinks on Friday?” he asked softly. Camie was probably his only friend—maybe even sister material—and she accepted him for who he was.
“Of course! Ei has boys' night with the A-1 idiots.” She smiled happily. “Denki and Sero are so annoying! Sero is also dating Mina! She’s chill but bubbly! Then you have Denki who needs to just confess to Todoroki that he wants in his pants and on top of all that Uraraka won’t get off Deku’s dick no matter how many times he’s politely turned her down. Iida just gets pissed because he’s been trying to weirdly flirt with her. Iida and flirting is kinda gross.” she laughed.
Katsuki tilted his head, his finger twirling a piece of blonde hair. Camie’s hair was the best to play with. He loved to spend time braiding it or curling it. It was soothing, oddly enough. She never complained and her boyfriend didn’t give a fuck. “Why is Deku turning her down?”
Camie shrugged, “Ei says he’s bi and leans towards men, but that man can’t get a good date if someone paid the guy. Deku gets a lot of the creepy fans, stalkers or ugh the weirdos.” Damn. Katsuki even felt sorry for the guy. “Maybe...”
“No.” he said sternly. “Don’t even fucking go there.”
“But Kats—”
“Cam, I love you but fuck no. Do not even try to suggest something like that! His label is sweetheart and mine is asshole! It would never fucking work.”
Camie huffed but the smirk stayed in place on her pink lips. “So, you don’t want me to ask Ei for Deku’s new limited edition merch to get you for Christmas?”
This fucking bitch.
Katsuki let the hair slip from his finger. “I’m not going on a date with him.” No matter how huge my crush is. “Let me figure out how to get him eating right then maybe we’ll go to your boyfriend’s stupid boys’ night.”
The woman fucking squealed and reached for a sticky note. She quickly wrote down something, handing it to him. “Agency address. Maybe... you can meal prep for him and make it a cute little secret. I bet it would make his day.”
Katsuki took the paper, leaving without a word. Make him food? Taking a deep breath, he exhaled through his nose and stepped off the elevator.
“Bakugo! My office now!” Oh, fuck him. Katsuki picked up the pace, hauling ass into his boss’s office and closing the door. Sara looked pissed. It didn’t take much some days but this had to be the first time she was pissed at him. “I asked you to help him! Not make him cry!”
The blonde fell back against the door, eyes growing wide. “What—”
“Shut it.” Sara snapped. “I don’t like getting calls from any hero—especially not the number one hero—that they want to request a different dispatcher as they cry!”
“I ain’t rainbows and sunshine, Sara!” He defended. “I ain’t gonna hold his fucking hand and put a damn binky in his mouth!”
Sara sighed, leaning back in the chair. “I know... I just... why did you make him so upset?”
Katsuki ran a sweaty hand through his hair. He didn’t mean to make the stupid nerd cry but it’s frustrating that he was so fucking selfless! The idiot can’t even eat right and he’s out there just going to get himself killed. “Sara, you already know how I am. I hate when someone eats a fucking cupcake for lunch or comes in with the nasty sugar crap and a damn donut.
“Deku,” His name fell from his tongue with such ease. Normally, it was dumb nicknames but never with Deku. “he can’t even eat properly. That dumbass ate a pb&j for lunch. That’s what? Three hundred and fifty calories—maybe! He needs protein, healthy fats, carbs to keep him moving and a lot of them to keep his body strong for that damn quirk! So, yeah, I fucking laid into him.”
“Okay.” Sara nodded, over and over again. “Be nice to him. I told him that you were the only dispatcher at the moment. Please, Katsuki... be nice.”
Katsuki jerked his chin down in a nod. “No promises, Sara but I’ll do my best.” Cause like fuck he was going to fail now. Opening the door—a little too hard—he stomped back to his desk and sat down. He inhaled sharply through his nose, putting his headset in his ear. “Just fucking tone it down, Katsuki. Nice. Like with Camie.” He wiped his hands on his jeans and ran his fingers over the black keyboard. There were a few emails to get through, but he had to see if Deku was signed on, unmuted.
And there was the stupid green bubble.
Switching to the hero’s comms, he unmuted himself and cleared his throat. Should he pretend that he didn’t yell at the guy this morning or should he... apologize? Ew. Gross.
“If you're going to yell at me... don’t.” Deku whispered softly. Damn, the nerd sounded so sad. “I’m sorry your stuck with me.”
Katsuki stared at the screen, “I feel like the word burden is on the tip of your tongue.”
Deku let out a small wet laugh. “H-Have been all of m-my life.”
“Yeah, well, I’ve been an asshole all of mine, so we have shit in common.” Katsuki smirked a tiny bit. Just the corner of his lips. “I think you should go find a sweet fucking old lady, help her cross the damn street then go the fuck home.”
“Y-You cuss a lot...”
“My mama didn’t raise no bitch. I speak the truth with added flare.” Katsuki smirked turned into a wicked grin. “I like to be blunt and honest.”
Deku hummed. “Bet your teachers loved you.”
“Top of my class, bitch.” Katsuki snorted. “They tried to mess with me until the old hag got involved. Now, get out there and find a sweet old lady who may give you a fucking cookie.”
“Alright... I’m going.”
“Fucking good! One cookie not two!” Deku whined in his ear but didn’t say a damn word. Maybe a little fucking reminder would be good for him. “When I tell you to fucking jump...”
“I ask how high... Kachan.”
Katsuki’s brain halted. What the flying fuck was a Kachan?! “Oi! What the fuck you just call me?! HAH!? Deku! You fucking stupid nerd! Answer me!”
Chapter Text
Friday.
Today could have been one of the worst Fridays he’s ever had in a long time. Kachan—the angry dispatcher—forced him to take a long weekend. Three full stupid days off. This guy was seriously trying to make his miserable life even more miserable.
“Why does everything have to be so hard...” He mumbled under his breath. Right now, he was at the store trying to find something healthy for dinner. Izuku spent the first part of the morning playing on his phone in bed because what was the point of even getting up? Couldn’t work. All his friends were at work and his mama was gone.
Who did that leave him with?
Izuku squinted at the screen. “Pork or chicken... hmmm.” Why his mama had to be such an amazing cook and didn’t bless him with that gene, was beyond him.
“Zuku!” Jerking his head up from his phone, he found the familiar red head pushing a cart his way. “I was shocked to hear you took an extra day off, bro.”
Eijiro Kirishima quickly wormed his way into his untrusting heart during the first year of high school. After all the bullying and just everything with being quirkless. He didn’t know how to make friends or being a normal kid with a quirk—well, he had a quirk that broke his bones so he still wasn’t normal.
Kirishima knows the good, bad and the ugly with him. He was the first one to know about the borrowed quirk and how he grew up quirkless. Kirishima didn’t have the best childhood so maybe that’s what brought them closer together.
Izuku rolled his eyes, slipping his phone into his pocket. “I didn’t have a choice. My dispatcher runs my life.”
“Maybe... that’s a good thing.” Kirishima said honestly. “You’ve been pretty rough lately after that,” Kirishima grimaced. “day.”
That day still haunted his fucking dreams every night.
The greenette nodded softly. “Anyways... what are you doing, Ei?” The damn man lit up like a kid in the candy store. “Camie wants to try this new recipe together tomorrow. She got off early with a coworker, so they probably went to some gay bar.” Kirishima laughed lightly. “She likes to play matchmaker for the dude, and I feel for him.”
“So, she’s not attached to your dick?” Izuku snickered slightly. Kirishima always knew how to brighten his day. Hell, Izuku does it for everyone but himself most of the time.
“Bro, you need to get your virgin ass laid. Twenty five and pure.” Kirishima let his sharp teeth shine as he grinned. “No wonder your Japan’s Sweetheart.”
“Oh, shut up.” He groaned. “Some days that’s cute and all but most of the stupid time it’s cock blocking me!”
Kirishima slapped him on the back, wrapping his arm around his shoulder. “I know but one day you’ll meet the man of your dreams and they will love you for all your nerdy hero, sweetheart, blinding smile.”
Izuku slumped against his side as he soaked in all the warmth. Kirishima was the best. “What if we skip bar night and go back to your place to watch a movie?”
“Worried Uraraka is going to spike your drink?” He teased lightly.
He shrugged against the taller man’s chest. “No, she’s not that stupid but I can’t handle telling her every time we make eye contact that I’m not interested. One, she’s not my type and two Tenya is in love with the blind woman.”
“Just as blind as Todoroki with Denki’s dumb flirting.”
“Oh god, it’s painful!”
Kirishima laughed, “I’ve told Denks that he just needs to be blunt and tell Todo. Still hasn’t.” Izuku laughed a little. It felt good to be happy even for a small moment. “I’ll be blunt with you, Z. I’m damn worried about you.” Izuku pressed his lips in a tight line. “Everyone is. My moms haven’t seen you in over a month.”
Izuku sagged hard into the man’s chest, forcing both arms to wrap tightly around his shoulders. “Cause they make me talk about my problems.” He mumbled.
“And that’s a bad thing?”
“I lost so many people, Ei... that l-little girl was crying for me.” He closed his eyes tightly, forcing the tears back into his eyes. “I couldn’t s-save her.”
The redhead sighed, “But it wasn’t your fault, Zu. It was the construction of the building. They cut corners and are paying—”
“And innocent people lost their lives!”
“And you are one man—”
“All Might would have saved them!” Izuku shouted as he ripped himself from his friend’s arms. “A-All Might would have saved them all...” Tears painfully pricked his eyes. He was still nothing but a failure.
A worthless, quirkless deku.
A rough hand landed on his head—lightly—jerking them until he finally looked up at the red blazing eyes. “You don’t get to fucking talk about yourself like that.” Kirishima hissed out through clenched teeth. “You made a name out of Deku, he’s an amazing hero... I just with Izuku could see it too.
“I think it’s time to get my sweetheart drunk and on the dance floor.” Kirishima smirked down at him. Izuku opened his mouth but clamped it shut. Once Kirishima got an idea in his head. There was no point in fighting it.
“Eijiro! I look stupid!” He whined for the tenth time since stepping out of his best friend’s apartment. “You seriously think a crop top is me?!” Izuku curled his arms around his exposed stomach tightly. It was bad enough that Kirishima made him take off his arm sleeve that hid the giant scar on his arm. Now a fish net crop top?
Kirishima just chuckled with a shake of his head. “Zuku, you look hot. If I was gay—bi even, I’d so tap that ass.” Izuku shot him a death glare. “I’m serious, bro, you look fire. I’m not saying go out and find yourself a man but fucking dance the night away. Be you.”
Me is full of depression and anxeity.
The strength hero huffed, “Ei, I think you forgot who you’re talking to.”
“Oh.” He smirked. “We just need some vodka flowing through your veins first.”
This idiot was trying to get him killed! Or worse! On the front page of tomorrow's paper. Vodka and he were never friends. If he drank that devil’s piss, then all he was asking for was a night of regrets and a massive hangover in the morning.
The car came to a stop and Kirishima shifted the car into park. Izuku peered out the window, his heartrate spiking to an unsafe level. “Look, we’re at one of the higher end bars an hour out of town. I’m the DD so you can relax and have some fun.”
“I’m pretty sure I’m always the DD.”
“Not tonight.”
“Alcohol is bad for my liver.”
“Well good thing you never drink—”
“Let’s go home.”
Kirishima—of course—didn't listen. He opened the car door and rounded the car to open his door for him. “Let’s go, my guy. I bet there’s some cuties in here just for you.”
Izuku slowly got out of the car, covering his abs with his arms. The tight white jeans didn’t help him feel any better. They sat low on his hips, exposing the deep V leading to his crotch like a dang invitation. He’d be so fucked if he got a boner.
The heroes made their way to the bar where Kirishima ordered four shots of his favorite flavored vodka and a rum and coke for himself. “Drink up, Z.”
Shot...
After shot...
After fucking shot...
Izuku leaned heavily against Kirishima’s chest, nuzzling his cheek against his cotton shirt. “I-I’m druuuuunk!”
“I see that.” Kirishima laughed, running his fingers through his fluffy curls. “Now get out on that dance floor, Z.
“Snot let m-me leave with swrangers!” If his brain was working, he would make sure to re-explain the rules. Being the number on hero, Japan’s Sweetheart and the heart throb of many, he couldn’t just leave the bar with anyone. The press gets one sniff of him at any location, and they swarm like fucking bees.
His best friend laughed, ruffling his curls once more. “I won’t let you get your dick wet tonight. Go dance, Zuku, I’ll be right here watching.”
“That booooring Ei!”
“Nah. You do the same for me every bar night.”
Izuku hopefully smiled brightly at his best friend before stumbling off to the crowded dance floor. He carefully managed to dance through the sweaty bodies. Some grinding on others and some having their own little party next to the other lonely people.
Lonely...
I’m so pathtic... My best friend has to baby sit me while I get hammered then it’s time to go back to my apartment where I live alone to cry myself to sleep and fight my demons.
Izuku felt the deep beat mixing with his pulse in his ears. Fuck. How much has he had to drink?
Lover boy, don’t you wanna come run away with me?
Come and play with me, play with me
Lover boy, don’t you wanna come put your hands on me?
Come and dance with me, dance with me Lover Boy
A pair of uninvited hands clamped down on his tightly covered ass. Izuku squeaked in surprise, whipping around but he only ended up stumbling into the stranger’s chest.
“Damn, Deku. Aren’t you a pretty sight?” Izuku gawked up at him. The orange hair was cut short to his scalp, grey eyes full of something he didn’t care to find out about. Here he was the number one hero and couldn’t punch the pervert in the face. Assault was the correct term. “Who would have thought you were just some big ass slut?”
Izuku flinched harshly.
If I could build a boy, he would be just like you
He’d know all of the tricks to break my heart in two
Manipulate me baby that’s what bad boys do
Tonight I’m on the look out you a you pt. 2
“Cat got your tongue baby?” The man leaned in close enough to feel his nasty smelling breath to fan over his lips. “I’d love to take this fucking ass for a spin.”
What the fu—
A soft—warm—arm snaked around his waist, the slightly sweaty hand touching his bare stomach. The light touch sent a shock through his core. What the hell was that? “Hey sweetheart.” The man holding him spoke soft enough for his frazzled brain but loud enough for the asshole to hear. “Sorry, I was in the bathroom.”
“Hey fucker! I was talking—”
“As you can clearly see, he’s not interested in. Get. Lost.” Izuku turned his head to the side to find the most beautiful man he’s ever seen. He could be a damn model! The ashy blonde hair was perfectly imperfectly. It may have been spiked up but every piece of blonde hair was placed with perfection. Next thing that caught his eye was the deep scarlet red that blazed like a wildfire.
Who knew someone’s eyes could be so beautiful?
“C’mon sweetheart, let’s dance and get away from this asshole.” The blonde man said softly. “Stay away from him.”
And you’re so charismatic; you’re making me blush
And your touch is just like magic; I don’t wanna rush
And your body: gotta have it; I think I’m in love, love
You’re my favorite bad habit; I can’t get enough
Izuku let himself be pulled away with the man in a daze. Was he even real? This guy was like a knight in shining armor. “You’re pretty.” He whispered. No mind to mouth filter.
The blonde chuckled huskily under his breath, shaking his head slightly. “I believe that’s you, baby.” A small smirk came to his plush lips. “Would you like to dance?”
“Mhmm!” Izuku giggled, plastering himself to the man’s dark shirt. The smell of sweet caramel filled his lungs causing him to inhale deeply to drown in it. It was pure heaven.
Lover boy, don’t you wanna come run away with me?
Come and play with me, play with me
Lover boy, don’t you wanna come put your hands on me?
Come and dance with me, dance with me Lover Boy
The knight controlled the slow deep sway of their bodies. Nothing was left between them—not even air.
Run away with me
Come and play with me
Put your hands on me
Come and dance with me, Lover Boy
If I could make a man he would be all I need
I introduce him to my insecurity
Ignore the other guys, only have eyes for me
Tonight I’m on the lookout and you’re all I see
“You’re my favorite bad habit; I can’t get enough.” Izuku’s heart clenched and against his better judgement. He pushed up on his tiptoes, pressing his lips against the blonde’s. His scarred fingers curled into the soft fabric to hold him in place. The blonde stiffened for a split second then dominated the kiss. It felt so right.
So good...
Perfect.

Katsuki groaned as he rolled over onto his back. Why the fuck did he forget to shut the damn blinds?! It was way too fucking bright for this shit. His head was protesting with the throbbing pain in his skull. Fuck! Camie got him all fucked up with the bar hooping shit.
Slowly, he peeled back his lids and found his best friend grinning down at him all creepy like. “What the fuck is with your damn face?”
Camie’s grin somehow managed to get even bigger. “Oh, nothing.” She said all too sweetly. “You were pretty wasted last night, Kitty Kat.”
Be red ass motherfucking flag began waving in the air.
“Camie... what the fuck are you talking about?” He whispered lowly. Camie was supposed to be there, so he didn’t fuck shit up! Not playing mind games!
Camie plopped down on his lap, pulling her phone from her bra. Katsuki’s eyes trained on the screen as she tapped through a few apps then typed a single word into the search bar. Deku
What came on the screen next was something that made his stomach twist, heart ache and the urge to hunt down that Stupid Nerd all at once. There sat a picture of Hero Deku with his scarred hands gripping his shirt as his own hands settled on his hips. Bare hips!
“C’mon sweetheart, let’s dance and get away from this asshole.”
Oh. Fuck.
“Camie!”
Camie busted into a wild fit of giggles. “You went all badass prince charming the second you saw that idiot put his hands on Deku. And I quote: “That’s my fucking hero and only I get a piece of that ass!” then you stomped over there!” He groaned loudly, flopping back onto his pillow. Kill him now. “Best part is that you two never stopped kissing! I had to drag your horny butt out of there once Eijiro got Deku to come up for air!”
Katsuki couldn’t help but bring his fingers to his lips. “I kissed him?” He whispered.
“Mhm! A lot!” She laid down on his chest and poked his hand. “You even gave him some love bites! You really know how to claim a guy.”
“And what does shitty hair say about this?”
Camie huffed out a long breath. “Well, Deku woke up in a state of shock. Phone blowing up, PR calling and everyone wanting to know who the fuck this mystery man is.” She paused. “Including Deku.”
Another groan spilled from his lips. “Cam... you can’t tell him. No one can know.”
“Why?”
“I’m an asshole for starters!” He all but shouted. “Two! He probably will fucking hate me! I made him cry on patrol Camie! Don’t you fucking get that?!”
The woman frowned softly. “But sweetie, you did it because you care—because you’re in love with him. You aren’t some creepy fans like the rest of the world. You fell in love with him for the nerd he truly is. You gave your—”
Katsuki slapped his sweaty palm over her mouth. “We are not talking about that shit, Cam. I will talk about anything else but that fucking day.” The fucking day that changed his life forever. “Deku can’t fucking know it was me. Ever.”
“But sweetie! Eijiro says Deku wants to find him—you!” Camie gushed excitedly. “Omg! It’s like Cinderella! You just didn’t turn into a pumpkin!”
“No, I’m still the same asshole as before the clock strikes midnight.” He deadpanned.
“Deku said that you called him sweetheart and baby all night.” This wasn’t getting any better—in fact it was just getting worse and then he’d have to take a trip to Hound Dog. “Kat, can’t you—”
Katsuki shoved her gently onto the bed. “No, Camie, never in my lifetime.” He whispered as he grabbed his shirt from the nightstand and pulled it over his head. The skin pulled slightly as a forever reminder of that damn day and that damn asshole. “Deku... he deserves someone that can fucking protect him. I don’t do anything but sweat flammable liquid.”
The woman sat on the bed with concern filling her chocolate eyes. “Kitty Kat...”
“Please, Cam... get your boyfriend to keep his damn mouth shut for once. Please.” He whispered before stalking out of his bedroom and into the kitchen. His headache seemed to move down into his chest right where his broken heart sat. Grabbing a pod from the rack on the coffee maker, he flipped the lid, dropped it inside and slammed it shut.
“Katsuki, you—”
“Camie, I fucking love you but no.” Pressing his hip to the counter, he kept his gaze trained on the blinking light. “It’s bad enough I have to work with that Stupid Nerd.”
The woman sighed softly, grabbing his favorite black mug from the cabinet. “Maybe you should call Aizawa, it’s been a while?” She said it so softly that he knew she wasn’t trying to throw it in his face that he hadn’t reached out to Aizawa in months. It was bad enough Troll was keeping tabs on him every week.
Katsuki grunted. “You think I can’t fucking take care of myself?”
“Well, when was the last time you called your parents?”
“Oh! Don’t fucking bring them into this!” He all but growled. “That bitch blamed me for being fucking weak!”
“Yes, and that was how many years ago...” Camie sighed again. “You are such a loner, babes.”
Snatching the mug from her hands, he shoved it into place and pressed the button. “And?! What the hell was wrong with that? I have you!”
“Wow. I walked in on a deep conversation.” Shinso drawled as he climbed through the window. “LIke prostate milking deep.”
“Is everything gay for you?!”
Shinso’s tired lilac eyes stared at him. “What the hell crawled up your ass?” Katsuki threw up his hands in frustration. “Camie what the fuck is going on?”
Camie rolled her eyes, “He saved Deku last night from some creep and they kissed. Of course, someone posted a picture of Deku kissing another guy and now Deku wants to find the mysterious man who gave him the best kiss ever. Kat doesn’t want to because of the shit that happened first year.”
“Damn.” The underground hero flopped down on the couch, keeping his shoes off the couch before he had a chance to scold him. “I don’t know if I’m more shocked that you kissed Deku or the fact you still let the Dabi thing bother you.”
Katsuki flinched at the name spilling into the air. “W-What the fuck, man?!”
“Hito!”
Shinso hummed. “Hmm? Dabi’s gone. Fried to a damn crisp. Death. Nothing but ash left. I get the pain, trauma and all that but, Katsuki, you can’t let him control you.”
“Stop using your dad’s words on me.” Katsuki spat.
“Someone needs to!” He shot back. “It’s been ten years since that day where you decided to play hero. Taking Deku’s place as bait was stupidly brave.”
Well, what do we have here? A cute little wannabe hero... I can’t wait to play with you.
“Katsuki!” Camie screamed in a panic as he fell to his knees. The keep scar on his back lit up like the first time Dabi put his hands on his bare skin. Fuck! He couldn’t fucking breathe! Camie must have gotten the hit that the fabric needed to come off his body because she took the collar of his shirt and ripped it off of him.
Shinso caught him gently before he faceplanted the damn floor. “I didn’t mean for this...” He trailed off.
Katsuki panted heavily against his chest. “I-I asked you to.” He whispered. Shinso was the only one that was willing to say that asshole’s name even after he was an ass and snapped. One night he asked Shinso to not ever beat around the bush about... Dabi. Hound Dog said it would be good to have some kind of exposure therapy.
That bastard’s name was exposure enough.
“Well, tell me about last night.” Shinso shifted slightly and he closed his eyes, letting himself be weak for a moment. “You kissed Midoriya, huh?”
“I vaguely remember last night.”
Camie laughed, “I got him hammered, Hito. He’s Deku’s new dispatcher and well, he had a tough few days.” Katsuki groaned loudly. This woman can’t ever keep her mouth shut! “But last night, Ei texted me that he was out at a gay bar with that sweet baby and I just knew that Katsuki couldn’t hold back.” The words were ‘set up.’ “So, we barely got there and some asshole was touching Deku’s butt! No way he had permission! Deku flinched and Katsuki pretty much said “hold my earrings—”
“My damn drink, woman!”
“Same difference! Anyways!” Camie giggled. “He marched over there and saved the sweet hero then they danced and kissed... and kissed... and kissed!”
Shinso faked gagged. “Gross.”
“There was tongue! Hands touching booties! Dicks rubbing—”
“Shut her up before I kill her.” He grumbled.
Shinso laughed, “You know there’s no stopping Camie and her mouth. I seriously wonder how Kiri handles her every day.”
“He’s my loving boyfriend and accepts me unconditionally unlike you, asshats.” Camie then threw herself onto his bare back and lightly traced the scarred skin with her nail. “We don’t want to push you and we won’t, babes but we want you happy. This is your shot with Deku.”
Katsuki never once backed down from anything.
When he was five and found out that he got his ma’s quirk of smooth, young-looking skin and unfortunately sweat. He was treated differently. It was a lame quirk and his hero dreams died. It wasn’t going to stop him from being a badass who didn’t give a fuck.
He spent his school days at the top of his fucking classes. Teachers loved him, praised him for his good work. Then came UA… his dream school but he was put in general studies. Katsuki dabbled in a few support courses and spent time as a tutor for anyone who truly needed it from even the hero course.
“I can’t believe I fucking kissed him.” He mumbled.
“You have the liquid courage.” Shinso laughed. “About time though, Kat. All the swooning after the number one hero was making me sick.”
Katsuki scowled as bucked Camie off his back, getting to his feet. “Fuck you, Troll! I’ll have you fucking know that—”
“Remember a few months ago when he did an article on his new underwear line?” Katsuki snapped his jaw shut. Fuck! “And you went to the mall buying every pair in your size and also the magazines?” Camie sneered. “Yeah, you got it so bad, Kitty Kat.”
Katsuki stomped over to the coffee machine and brought the mug to his lips. His face was on fire. Fuck his stupid ass friends. Fuck his undying love for that Stupid Nerd. Fuck himself for being a coward for so damn long.
“You two done pestering me?” Hell, he was about to go into work and beg anyone to take the rest of the day off. “I wanna take a fat shit—”
“EW!” Camie screamed. “Stop!” She ran to the front door, scrambling to get her heels on. “I don’t wanna know, Katsuki!” Katsuki smirked listening to the door slam shut. One down, one to go.
Shinso sighed tiredly just like his dad did. “She had her hand in someone’s guts last week but you say you need to shit and she’s out.” The blonde shrugged and popped open the fridge to grab the bento box he made for his other best friend. “Thanks, mommy.”
Katsuki inhaled deeply through his nose. “Get out of my fucking house, asshole.”
“Thanks for the food.” Shinso dramatically bowed and slowly backed away to the front door. “Fair warning... I wouldn’t talk to my father about this whole kissing thing. Those two talk a lot.” He crossed his one finger over the other. “Midoriya might as well be my brother from another mother.”
Aizawa claimed that Deku was his problem child.
Fuck. Him.
“Got it. Get the fuck out, man.” Shinso gave him a small wave before slipping out silently. He ran his hands down his face with a sigh. There was so much to process and his brain didn’t even know where to start. “That nerd is going to eat whether he likes it or not.” Katsuki grabbed the frying pan from the drying rack, setting it on the stove.

Ugh. I love it so much.
Chapter Text
“So, have you found your prince charming yet?” Kirishima teased lightly. The entire weekend he teased him until he was two seconds away from a Texas Smash to the face.
Izuku rolled his eyes with a huff. “Let it go, Ei. Once it all dies down maybe he’ll come forward.” Cause there was no way that man who kissed him like that didn’t have some kind of feelings for him. “And get your moms off my back!”
“No can do, boo.” Kirishima chuckled, pulling his shirt over his head.
“Izu.” Izuku turned his head and found—his brother if he slapped a label on it—Shinso standing by the locker room door with a bag in his hand. “Someone dropped off a bag of containers for you. They said that this was for lunch today.”
Izuku frowned slightly. “Zawa better—”
“Can’t cook, you know this, and pops is out of town on a music thing.” Shinso wiggled it in front of him. “C’mon. Someone worked hard to make sure you had a proper lunch, don’t be a dick about it.”
Kirishima came up beside him, his brows knitted together. “What if it’s laced with something?”
Izuku watched the underground hero fight the eye roll. It told him a few things... one, Shinso knew who made them and if he wasn’t stating it now, he wasn’t going to ever. “But out, dog, I am being an amazing person and bringing the food to said hero who doesn’t eat well at all.”
Jeez these two.
“Eijiro has a point, Toshi, how do I know they aren’t drugged or something.” Izuku was always careful when it came to this kinda thing. Well, after the one time someone gave him a batch of pot brownies. “But if you trust it... then I’ll take it.” He forgot his own lunch anyways.
Lies. He didn’t bother to make a lunch.
Shinso set it on the bench by the door. “If you don’t eat today—”
God, he was so tired of the treats. “I have a personal dispatcher now, Toshi, that will happily kick me off patrol if I don’t eat enough.”
Which reminded him that he was about to be late for patrol. Quickly, he changed into his hero suit and rushed out the door, tapping his comms on the way. “Morning!”
“Two minutes late.” The deep voice filled his ear. “Was it because you overslept?”
To be honest, he wanted to be ticked and put up a fight but ever since that kiss at the bar, he’s been floating on cloud nine. “Nope! I got caught in the locker room. Someone brought me lunches and dinners.”
“Are you going to eat them?”
Izuku glanced around the busy streets of his city. “I’d hate myself if I let them go bad. Anyways, got anything for me?”
Kachan—yup, that’s his new name—grunted slightly. “Nah. You’re still on light duty.” He groaned loudly. People around him turned to look at him. It was bad enough that the press was freaking out about the kiss at the bar. “Don’t fucking whine, brat. I rule over your every move.”
“You know if I wasn’t in such a good mood, I’d be upset with your words, but nothing can knock me down at the moment.” Well, there were a few things but not many right now.
Kachan hummed lightly. “And what’s got you all in good spirits? Get your dick wet or something?”
Izuku choked on his spit. “E-Excuse me?!”
“Dick wet? Are you not familiar with that term?” Kachan laughed lightly. “Okay, did you stick your dick in a hole? Did someone lick it?”
Izuku gaped down at the sidewalk. “I-I don’t think my sex life has anything to do with you, Kachan!”
“Only virgins deny...Holy fuck!”
“Shut. Up.”
“You?!” Kachan gasped. “You are a virgin!?”
“Yes.” He hissed. “I am and I don’t need the whole dispatch office knowing!”
Kachan scuffed, “I work in my own office, dumbass. No one bothers me.” Izuku fought the urge to ask why. Why did he work alone? He went to HQ when his dispatcher had a baby and went to drop off a gift. Everyone worked together... so why did Kachan work alone? Huh.
“Stop!”
Izuku whipped his head around to see a woman falling to the ground as she lost the tug of war fight on her purse. “Dispatch, I have a theft in progress. In pursuit.” He didn’t bother waiting for Kachan’s reply. One for All surged through his veins until the faint crackling danced over his skin. Izuku bolted forward, in beeline of the thief.
“Police in route.” Kachan said lowly. It was so weird not to have someone asking questions while he was in the middle of something. Normally, the dispatcher would be asking questions, street names, anything but Kachan spoke low enough for him to hear but to not lose focus.
Izuku whipped out a single black tendril to secure the brown handbag right as he tackled the man to the ground. “Stand down. You’re under arrest.”
“Fuck! I thought you weren’t fucking working today!”
Now... that wasn’t what villains said when he caught them.
“Why wouldn’t I be working today? I’m a hero. It’s my job.” He stated.
The villain grunted as quirk cancelling cuffs were slapped on his wrists. “Everyone knows your broken.” He snickered.
Broken.
Izuku couldn’t stop the word from repeating in his head over and over again. Broken... was he? Was that what was wrong with him? Was he truly broken? Mindlessly, he let the officer take the villain and another officer took the handbag to return to the rightful owner.
Broken.
Stumbling into the nearest alley, he kept a shaky hand on the brick wall so he wouldn’t crumble to the ground. Everything felt like it was closing in on him. The noises grew quiet, but his mind was growing louder.
Broken.
You’re nothing but a sad replacement for All Might.” All for One taunted with a foot planted on All Might’s chest. The chest that no longer held a beating heart. “You killed him. You are nothing but a pathetic little boy.” Izuku stared at the man in horror, his words sinking into his pounding heart. “You’ll never be anything but a worthless, quirkless freak.”
“Deku!”
Katsuki glared at the screen with his headset turned up to full blast. Deku was mumbling a few words here and there. The most concerning thing to him was the small gasping breaths. Slight wheezing mixed with the rustling of clothes.
“Deku, you need to fucking breathe.” No response. “Izuku, he’s wrong. That piece of shit is wrong.” Come on, fucking talk!
“I-I’m n-n-not q-quirkless...”
What the fuck? Did he even hear that shit right? Izuku Midoriya—Hero Deku was quirkless? Katsuki felt like a train hit him right in the chest. It all made sense...
Back at UA—at training camp—villains showed up for Deku. Why was his first question because he’s seen Deku all up All Might’s ass most of the time. There was no way they would get him over to the dark side.
But... if Deku was born quirkless then suddenly got a quirk... that All Might lost... “Holy shit.” He whispered out loud. Deku being All Might’s successor made sense! Damn. “Izuku you are not quirkless. You have a cool ass fucking quirk that help you beat the baddies. You aren’t fucking broken. You are the damn number one hero!”
A sexy man with a perfect ass and a heart of damn gold.
“Ya know... I don’t have a cool quirk.” He started slowly. “All my life, I wanted to be just like All Might.” Deku gasped slightly which gave him strength to keep going. “All Might was my damn hero growing up but I didn’t get an awesome hero quirk. I got my ma’s quirk. I secrete Glycerin from my skin. Sweat. I mean I have amazing fucking skin if that matters.”
“Y-You’ll l-loo—look amazing w-when you a-age.” Deku choked out.
“I fucking guess.”
“UA?”
Katsuki knew he should end it there, but Deku was talking which meant breathing, so he’ll keep it up. “General Studies. I played in Support and I knew all the Hero course crap. Top of my classes and everything.”
“Y-You could have... b-been a hero.” Izuku said tiredly. “Zawa f-fights quirkless.”
The blonde ran a hand down his face, suppressing a sigh. That was the first time someone truly said he could be hero with a lame ass quirk. “Thanks, Deku. You good now?”
“Mhmm.” He hummed. “Tired.”
“Get those a lot?”
Another hum came his way. “Not in public. Normally at home or with nightmares.” Katsuki frowned and glanced at his phone. “I... I’m gonna go home.”
Worry sat in his heart. Would he even be able to get home okay? “You fucking stay on comms until your ass is in bed, Deku, you go grab that food, go home, eat then in bed.”
“I-I won’t fight... this time.” The Stupid Nerd sounded so defeated.
Katsuki wanted nothing more than to hunt the nerd down and snuggle the shit out of him. And he wasn’t a damn snuggler. “You have ten minutes, Deku.”
The Stupid Nerd took almost an hour to get back home. He didn’t say much besides what he was doing like narrating his life. It was pretty damn cute to hear him moan a little eating his cooking. Part of him wanted to gloat but that would give away one of the many secrets.
“I’m in bed.”
Katsuki fell forward in his chair to bring it level with his desk. “Good. Now I want you to fucking call back through comms if you have another damn panic attack. Jesus. I almost sent medical to you.”
“Mhmm... night Kachan.”
“Bakugo.”
Katsuki snorted loudly as he jolted up in his chair. What happened?! What day is it?! Why the fuck does his neck hurt! “I ain’t sleeping!”
Sara laughed lightly. “Maybe next time whip the drool spot off your desk and I might believe you.” He scowled tiredly and ran his fingers through his blonde hair. “May I ask why you're sleeping at your desk and why you are here so late?”
Katsuki grabbed a few tissues and swiftly cleaned up his desk then chin just in case. “Deku had a major panic attack on patrol. I made sure he got home, ate and in bed but…”
“Couldn’t leave the poor thing?” She suggested softly. Katsuki nodded a little. “You know I didn’t suggest you just because of your healthy living habits. I also know you took this job to be as close to the heroes as you can. Hero Deku needs someone to be his hero.
“That someone is you.”
Katsuki swallowed thickly. He pushed down all the rush of emotions. Twice in one day was too much. “Sara…”
“Nope.” She smiled. “You just keep proving me right. Now are you going to go home or listen to Deku snore all night?”
Fuck… he actually wanted to stay just in case but that’s a little weird and sleeping at his desk isn’t proper sleep. “I’m going home.”
And he didn’t go fucking home like an idiot. Why he ended up at his childhood home was beyond home. Katsuki took a small deep breath and raised his hand, pressing the doorbell. Ma and him… don’t have the best relationship. Never have. They were both hard headed with a short temper. After the kidnapping, he pulled back. She called him weak but Hound Dog called her in to one of his many sessions and explained how he wasn’t.
For fuck’s sake, he was stuck with murdering villains for three days.
Mitsuki instantly changed her ways.
“I was wondering when you were going to show.” Mitsuki said, opening the door for him. “Kissing the number one hero, Katsuki?”
She would fucking know it’s him.
Katsuki scowled as he walked past her going straight to the kitchen where the smell of his favorite curry sat on the stove. Hell yes! “I was drunk, ma.”
“Do you regret it?”
That made his spine stiffen. Katsuki stopped in front of the stove with his hands clenched tightly at his sides. “No. Never.”
“Then why are you putting that boy through hell?” Mitsuki came up next to him with an empty bowl. “Or did he not remember?”
“Camie’s boyfriend told her that he’s looking for me. How the hell am I supposed to explain that! I work with him! In his dispatcher plus the shit I pulled at training camp for him.” He shook his head. “I’m not gonna be some fucking pity date.”
“You could never be a pity date, baby.” Katsuki wrinkled his nose in disgust. “You’d tell them off before they had a chance.” She laughed.
“I hate you.” Katsuki grumbled, no bite to his words. The two of them have come a long fucking way.
Chapter Text
It’s been weeks.
Weeks!
And there’s been no sign of his Prince Charming. It made it feel like it was all just a dream that would never come true. Did he need to put out a reward for any information?
“That would make me look desperate.” He mumbled, pushing the rice around in his lunch container. These lunches, dinners and even protein shakes were delivered to the agency twice a week. Izuku tried to catch the person, but it was like they appeared out of nowhere.
“What are you mumbling about now?”
Kachan has become a new normal in his life. Surprisingly, he enjoyed the angry man’s presence. Another thing he liked was the way he and Kachan flowed during work. If there were things he needed to do, it was like Kachan was four steps ahead of him. Patrol was a breeze.
“Don’t you take a lunch break?” He questioned, deflecting.
Kachan grunted slightly like he was adjusting his posture. “Yeah, but my lunch date is home sick today so I can’t go bitch to anyone.”
“Lunch date?” Izuku asked before he could stop himself.
“Camie.” Wait. Eijiro’s girlfriend? “She works a few floors down in another department. I call it the bitching hour. She bitches, I bitch.”
Izuku hummed lightly. “I get that.”
“And all Camie bitches about is her fucking boyfriend and where her ring is. Kinda glad she’s sick because if I hear another fucking hour of why Shitty Hair won’t propose, I’m gonna hunt him down and beat his ass.”
He laughed, “Ei is struggling to find the right ring.” Izuku shook his head. “I’ve been ring shopping with him way too many times.”
“Well, tell that asshole to hurry up before she proposes.” Katsuki scuffed. “She don’t need a big fancy ring. She don’t want one.”
“I’ll let him know.” Izuku wanted to laugh but a sigh fell from his lips instead. “I want that. I want that so damn bad.”
Katsuki went quiet.
“Kachan?”
“Do you believe in soulmates?” Katsuki said softly—so soft it was almost familiar, but he couldn’t find where Kachan ever spoke to him like that.
Izuku set down the container next to his thigh. “I believe I met mine... and the clock striked midnight turning him into a pumpkin.”
“...tell me about him.”
“Well, he actually saved me from some pervert.” A small smile started to tug at the corner of his lips. “He pretended to be my boyfriend but being in his arms, against his body. It felt real... like I belonged in his arms. He treated me with such care. I felt safe with him.”
“What if he’s secretly an asshole?”
Izuku smiled. “There’s no way. Kachan, that man may have worn a suit of armor but when he was with me, it was gone. He became my hero... I just need to find him.”
“Deku... I—”
A large explosion rang through the city. Slowly, he turned his head to the sound in horror. Screams and cries for help followed.
“Deku. Do not engage. I repeat. Do not engage.”
“K-Kachan—the people!”
“No! Fucking listen to me!” Izuku didn’t know what the hell to do. Part of him wanted to throw himself into the field but the other part of him was torn to listen to his dispatcher. “I have word from Hawks that it was some kid being stupid. Sound quirk. Nothing more...”
Sound quirk?
Izuku frowned down at his scarred hands. They were trembling against his thighs, painfully clenched into fists. “I-I—”
“Izuku, I need word that your ass is planted.”
“I-I’m... sitting.” He whispered.
“PTSD is a bitch.” Kachan swore. “I’ve lived it but the only thing that helps is talking to someone. It fucking sucks and it will hurt like a fucking bitch on a stick. But it will help.”
That’s what everyone said. Talk about. Get it out. Don’t let it eat you alive inside. How? How could he spend time talk about more than one thing? It all lead back to him being born quirkless.
“Oi! I’m sending you to go snuggle some damn babies.” Um... what? “The hospital’s head of peds is expecting you in less than twenty minutes. Go smile and love some babies.”
“Kachan... there’s other things I should be doing. I’m the number one hero—”
“Who doesn’t know when to take a damn break. The number one hero that pushes himself too far and almost gets himself killed. The fucking number one hero that the commission put me in charge of because everyone is worried that in the next big battle it will be a recovery mission for every other hero.
“I’m not letting you throw your life away. Fuck if no one else wants to lay it out for you. I’m in fucking charge and I ordered you to go fucking snuggle some damn babies!”
Izuku opened and closed his mouth like a fish. Is that really what everyone thought? “... and if I don’t?”
Katsuki growled lowly. “If you don’t, I’ll have no choice but to inform my boss that will relay my message to the commissioner. Your license will be revoked and you will be benched.”
“Y-You can’t do that!”
“Fucking watch me.”
“Hero Deku! It’s a wonderful surprise!” Izuku forced a bright smile, running his gloved hand through his curls. “I was shocked when Mr. Bakugo called. I’ve been reaching out to your agency for months because a few—or most—of our kids are a huge Hero Deku fan.” Guess he’ll be talking to Cindy when he gets back to the agency because he was never informed of this. “I know your busy and everything but even a few minutes of your time to just say hi would mean the world to them.”
Izuku ignored the guilt in his chest. Little kids wanted him to say hi and all he’s been wanting is to throw himself back into the field. “I’d love to maybe pick a day once a month to come and spend with the kids. Even on my off—”
“Deku, you don’t have to come on your off time. I know how small that time can feel.” The doctor smiled. “Anyways, the kiddos are in here for group time and if you have more time, there are babies in the NICU that could use some super snuggles.”
“You got it.”
Izuku spent a lot of time sitting on the floor with kids climbing all over him. Black Whip came in handy a few times. There were a lot of questions about his quirk. He used Black Whip and Float mostly. The others were too much for the small space.
“Deku! Why aren’t you out fighting the baddies?”
He forced a huge smile. “I’m grounded.” He said playfully. “I got hurt a while ago and sometimes I get scared.”
“Scared?!” Another child squeaked.
“Everyone gets scared.” Izuku chuckled. “I’m scared of my stove. It doesn’t like me.”
“My mommy can’t cook! Daddy says he’s the master chief!”
“Chef.” He chuckled lightly.
Another little boy crawled up to him and planted himself right in his lap. “Mommy said you had to take a breaky from the big boom.”
Izuku didn’t really know what to say but he always knew that kids somehow read the room better than he ever could. “Your mommy is very smart. I wish I was that smart... I have to have someone tell me what to do.”
“My mommy does that for my daddy!” A girl squealed. “They so funnnnnny!”
“Your daddy is very lucky, sweetie.” Izuku flashed her a bright smile. A few minutes later a couple of nurses came in to collect the children for lunch. He slipped from the room quietly. That was nice. It wasn’t exactly what he wanted to be doing but it felt good to put smiles on those faces.
Now time for cute little babies then head home. Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day.
“Hero Deku!” A male nurse grinned from behind one of the stations. “I heard a rumor that you were in the building today.”
Izuku smiled, running a hand through his curls. “Yeah...”
“Itching to get out in the field?”
Fuck. “Is it that obvious?”
He chuckled, “Kinda... only because you do so much for Japan.” Izuku opened his mouth to protest but it was cut off by a woman screaming. “It’s okay—okay, it’s not but there’s nothing for us to do.” Izuku raised a questioning brow. The woman was screaming... and they didn’t do anything. “We’re not cold hearted. She asked us to leave her alone.”
“Why?”
The nurse grimaced. “Her husband died in the building collapse. She’s been in labor for twelve hours now... baby just doesn’t want to come, and she refuses a C-section.”
Izuku’s heart broke—no, shattered into pieces.
And then his feet moved before his brain could catch up. Izuku walked into the woman’s room. His knees threatened to buckle at the sight of the heartbroken mama to be. Tears had become a permeant stain on her tan cheeks.
“I said s-stay out!”
“I... can’t.”
The woman opened her eyes finding his instantly. “H-Hero Deku?” He gave her a warm smile and moved around the bed, sitting in the empty chair.
Izuku carefully pushed down his arm braces and pulled off his gloves, setting them on the table by the bed. He didn’t know what to say. No words would bring her husband back but... he slowly held out his hand to her. “Squeeze my hand.” Her glossy eyes looked down at his hand then back up at him. “I failed saving him and I’m sorry.” She winced—whether it was from the contraction or the talk of her late husband, he didn’t know. “I swear on my life, I tried to save everyone that day.”
“Y-You're... only human.”
“I’m slowly coming to terms with that.” Izuku smiled a little. “Will you let me support you?”
The woman—Kara—took his hand tightly and squeezed her eyes shut tightly. He has been through a few births in his days as a hero, but he was normally catching the babies. Right now, he was in an intimate situation where someone else should be.
Hours after hours passed. Kara screamed, cried and squeezed the living shit out of his hand. Izuku would be icing it the rest of the night, but he didn’t have the heart to care.
“One more push, Kara, one more push than you get to meet the sweet baby.” He whispered against her sweat soaked forehead. “This baby carries half your husband’s DNA... heart... push with everything you got.”
Kara screamed as she bared down and gave it all she had. Within minutes—if not seconds—a small wail came from below followed by another one. She panted heavily. “T-Thank you...”
“It’s a boy.” The doctor whispered when he placed the tiny human on her chest.
Izuku gave her hand a small squeeze before letting go. Kara was instantly wrapped up in her new son. Love filled the room squeezing him tightly. Kara’s son didn’t look anything like her, which told him that he took after his father. “I wish you the best, Kara.”
“Forgive yourself.” She whispered, her lips pressed to her son’s forehead.
If only it was that easy.
He forced a smile on his lips as he grabbed his gloves and leaving the room into the cold hallway. Izuku wanted to stay in the safe loving comfort but that wasn’t for him. With a heavy sigh, he forced his tired body down the hallway, eyes trained to the floor.
Maybe one day he’d have that.
Is... would it even be in his cards?
The real question was... who was holding them.
Izuku ran into a solid yet warm wall. The other grunted but before he could hit the floor and look like an idiot. Strong arms wrapped around his waist... holding him in place.
Some believe in fate while others believe in something more. Someone was playing with his fate. The strings were dancing around him, pulling him up and down.
Except for one man.
“Well, hello there, sweetheart.”
Sweetheart...

Small mention of miscarriage at the beginning
Chapter Text
“What the hell are you doing here?!”
Katsuki was beyond pissed. Like so pissed that explosions could pop from his skin, and he wouldn’t bat an eye. “Ex-fucking-cuse me?! Why am I here!? I’m here because the hospital called me saying you were admitted when I thought you were home with fucking period cramps!”
Fuck! He felt like shit, but he was dealing with Deku losing his shit over some damn idiot and the hospital calling him because he’s Camie’s emergency contact!
“Please tell me they know what’s going on with you... I swear to fuck I’ll lose my shit, Cam.”
The blonde woman was curled on her side, knees tucked tightly to her chest and an IV already in her hand. “I...” She choked on a small sob that bubbled from her pink lips. Katsuki frowned. Did she know what was happening?
Katsuki huffed lightly and walked around the bed. Fuck the rules. He climbed onto the single person bed carefully. He dared the nurse to kick him out. Slowly, he lowered his body right behind her back, wrapping his arm around her waist. “Camie, talk to me.”
“I-I was pregnant.”
Was. She was pregnant.
Katsuki frowned deeply as he buried his nose in her curls. “Want me to call Shitty Hair?”
“H-He’s working...”
“And? You need him.”
“I didn’t even tell him, Kat.” She whispered tiredly. Her voice heavy with pain. “I had it all planned than this morning there was so much blood on the bed... cramps. I knew the little baby was gone.”
Sobs shook her small frame against his chest. Out of everything he thought about today, he never thought it would end with such sadness. Katsuki held his best friend tightly like all the nights she did for him until her body relaxed and her breathing became slow and steady breaths.
“You may fucking hate me for this but you’d do the same for me.” Katsuki whispered softly, pulling his phone from his pocket. He only had Kirishima’s number because if Camie got to drunk, he’d make sure that Hair for Brains picked her up.
“Ello?” The idiot answered on the second ring.
Here goes nothing. “Look Shitty Hair I’m not only betraying my best friend but this also goes against any code I fucking live by. I don’t meddle in other people personal cause I don’t give a fuck but Camie is my sister so you better fucking have your head on straight.”
“Is Camie alright?”
“No.” He said flatly. Jeez he sounded like a dick. “I’m with her in the hospital… she had a miscarriage.”
This idiot better choose wisely—
“Fuck! I’m coming! Be there in five!” The line went dead a second later.
Katsuki looked down at his sleeping friend. “When you try to be pissed, you remember that time I took a fucking tampon out of your bleeding vag and replaced it cause you were too drunk to stand. Remember that.”
Within four minutes the door quickly opened and shut with a light click. Katsuki’s met Kirishima a handful of times but never with Camie to be the buffer. He hated people in general. Last thing he wanted was for this asshole to call him an asshole and stay away from his girlfriend.
“How she doing?”
Katsuki ran his fingers through her lightly curled hair. “She’s heartbroken.” He said softly. “She had plans to tell you.”
Kirishima’s red eyes filled with tears. “Would you mind…” he trailed off. This guy was a hero in the upper ten but didn’t have the balls to ask him to leave.
“Have her call me when she’s up for it.” Carefully, he peeled himself away from his best friend and Kirishima quickly took his place to keep the warmth. “I’m here…” his nose wrinkled in disgust. “For you too… Shitty Hair.”
Kirishima smiled sadly. “Thanks, man. I just gotta call Z and tell him I won’t be at work for a bit.”
Z. Zuku. Izuku.
“Are you going to tell him?”
And this is why he avoided people like the damn plague. “No clue what you're talking about, asshole.”
The redhead chuckled a little. “You sucking face with my bestie? I saw it with my own eyes, bro. Plus he can’t get you out of his head.”
“There’s a lot more to—“
“You don’t have to tell me. Talk to him when you’re ready.”
Katsuki shook his head slightly and ducked out of the room, closing the door softly. Great. His best friend fucking knows?! How much longer could he keep this secret?! Talking to the Stupid Nerd was getting harder every day!
He wanted nothing more than to hug the shit out of the damn cinnamon roll.
“Well, hello there, sweetheart.”
As Katsuki turned toward the corner of the hall, he paused. His heart did not stop at the voice of the stranger. It was the familiar voice he talked to every day. “O-Oh. Hi...”
Deku.
He carefully peered around the corner. Fucking fucks, man. That shitty ass orange haired pervert towered over Deku like he did the night at the bar. A deep growl rumbled in his chest.
Deku’s mine, fucker
“We got rudely interrupted at the bar that night.” Pervert grinned. “I really wanted to show you a good time.”
Deku’s eyes widened comically. Here he is—the number one fucking hero and he can’t get the balls to kick this guy where it hurts. “Yeah... uh my b—”
Pervert snorted. “That asshole was not your boyfriend, Deku.”
Maybe not then or today but hopefully soon, asshole.
“Look I—”
“Sweetheart, it’s okay.” He smirked. “I’ll take you to turn then get a turn with that ass—”
Katsuki’s feet moved on their own as he stomped down the hallway then his arm definitely had a mind of its own when it socked the guy in the face. “Back. Off.” He growled. Katsuki spun around to meet Deku’s emerald green eyes. “Hey baby, you okay?”
“You again—”
“You come near him again... I’ll show you what your fucking grave looks like.” Katsuki wrapped his arm around the shorter man’s shoulders, dragging him out of the hallway.
Deku leaned into him slightly. It felt like he was trying to hold back but he wasn’t going to comment. “That’s twice now.”
“I know.” He chuckled softly. “We have to stop meeting like this, sweetheart.” Deku hummed softly, a warm smile on his lips. “Oh, you like when I call you that?” He nodded just a bit. “Only me, sweetheart.”
Katsuki didn’t stop until they found a quiet part of the hospital where it almost felt abandoned. He propped up against the white walls, letting Deku have some room to breathe.
“...are you a stalker?”
Ouch. That fucking stung. “No.” He mumbled, rubbing the aching spot on his chest over his heart. “I’m a big fan but I fu—hate the fan stuff.”
Deku tilted his head cutely. Fuck. He was adorable. “Then why do you keep saving me?”
“Right place, right time, baby. I was already at the gay bar when you showed up and my friend is in the hospital.”
“Oh...”
“I ain’t stalking you, sweetheart. I wouldn’t bother saving you.” Katsuki said honestly. “I’d be worse than Pervert Guy.”
Deku looked like he was going over it in that big head of his. “Makes sense.” The hero squared his shoulders and thrusted out his scarred hand. “Izuku Midoriya... though you probably knew that.”
Katsuki bit his tongue as he shook the hero’s hand. How the fuck could he tell Deku who he really was!? Oh, yeah, I’m the guy that made you fucking cry over a dumb sandwich. I’m actually not that big of an asshole.
Yeah... that won’t go over well.
“I can’t tell you who I am, sweetheart.” Deku deflated instantly. Shoulders sagged and his jaw hit the floor. “I promise you... I want to. I want you more than anything in this world. I want to take you home, cook you dinner and look at the city lights while we share a bottle of wine.
“I want to claim you, Izuku Midoriya.”
“But...” He whispered wetly.
“But I can’t have you, baby, no matter how badly I want you.”
The damn took a step forward. All the sadness faded from his eyes and in set determination. “For the first time in my life... I’m saying no.” Deku took another step. Katsuki glanced over him seeing a few green sparks dance over his skin. “I demand to know who you are.”
Katsuki clenched his fists. Fucking hell. Deku was standing up to him—fighting for him. Sweat slowly dripped down over his knuckles to the ground by his feet. “I can’t give you that, Deku.”
“Please! Please—”
He pushed off the wall, closing the small distance between them and pressed a hard, loving kiss to Deku’s lips. “You are my bad habit, baby.” Katsuki swiftly danced around the grabby hands and booked it into a full sprint.
“Hey!”
Katsuki ran from the one person that held his heart... never looking back.
Hours upon hours, he walked around blindly.
At some point he managed to get his head on straight and get out of the hospital without getting spotted by Deku. It hurt to leave him like that. His heart shattered with each step he took away from the Stupid Nerd.
On the inside I'm sick about it
Choking on nothing but air
I don't know if I will make it out of this
Living is too much to bear
Katsuki closed his eyes tightly. Here he was being a fucking idiot. The park was dark and cold but it didn’t matter because he was utterly numb. Once his feet stepped over the threshold of the hospital, his lungs stopped working as his body caught up with him.
Heartbroken.
Numb.
Shattered.
And why is it so hard to breathe?
And why cant I feel anything?
Trying my best but it's feeling
The world is crashing on me
Panic Attack by Clinton Kane blasted into his eardrums, traveling through his blood stream. Katsuki only ever pulled this song from his forbidden playlist when he needed it. Desperately needed it.
Don't know what to do
I don't wanna think about it
Losing myself in it all
To tell you the truth
There's no hope when I'm in it
I'm drowning alone in my arms
Katsuki stuffed his hands in his pockets, hunched over as he walked through the quiet park. No one was out this time of night... who would be? Everyone who was smart stayed their asses at home so the villains didn’t find someone to play with.
Such a pretty play thing.
How much longer until you break?
Oh, pretty boy, have you ever smelled burning flesh?
A violent roll of nauseousness hit his stomach. He barely managed to free his hands and catch himself instead of face planting the ground. The rotting smell of burning flesh filled his nostrils and his back lit up in flames. Any screams that wanted to escape his lungs were cut off by the vomit rushing out.
And it's too loud for me to fight it
So I give in to me giving up
And I'm not proud when I try to hide it
But the colder the more I feel numb
“F-Fuck...” He croaked. Get the fuck up and go the hell home Katsuki. Get. Up. “G-Get up, b-bastard.” Forcing his fucking legs to move, he numbly walked home. The undying habit of glancing over his shoulder, lived on.
Every alley.
Every street.
Also checking, watching and listening.
And why is it so hard to breathe
And why can't I feel anything
Trying my best but it's feeling
The world is crashing on me
It took another hour until he walked into his apartment. He flipped the lock as he toed off his boots and moved to the master bathroom. Katsuki plucked the airpods from his ears, dropping them to the counter.
“You broke his heart.” He whispered to his reflection. “You couldn’t be who he needed. You’ll never be enough. You’re broken beyond repair.”
Pushing off the counter, he flicked off the lights and stripped out of his clothes. He never showered with the lights on. The scars could be seen in the mirror... ugly mangled burned skin.
Katsuki forced his mind blank while he got the water going. Sweat covered his skin to the point he felt gross and sticky. Two minutes. That’s all he gave himself. Any longer, his fingers would wander to his back or the voices would whisper in his ear.
Scrubbing himself from head to toe, he slammed off the water in less than two minutes. Katsuki snatched his towel from the towel rack next to the shower and bolted from the bathroom. His room was completely free of mirrors so dripping wet and naked, he made it to freedom.
“Not what I thought I’d be seeing tonight.” Katsuki gripped the towel in his fists, pressing it to his face. He should be fucking pissed or freaked out but it wasn’t the first time Aizawa paid him a visit like this. “Rough night?”
The towel was gently taken from his hands and replaced with a robe around his shoulders. Aizawa helped him a lot after the kidnapping... Dabi, a lot after Dabi. He helped him shower a lot because he was scared shitless. One of seeing it and the second being shirtless in front of anyone. Katsuki hummed lightly.
Aizawa sighed, “You know, you are causing my problem child to have a break down, right?”
“Not good enough...”
“Says one person.” Aizawa said, running the towel over his hair. “He came home in tears, Katsuki. Said a blonde stranger with red eyes kept saving him but wouldn’t tell him who he was.”
Katsuki grunted. “I’m an asshole.”
Aizawa sighed again. More tired sounding this time. “You aren’t to him. He doesn’t know the true you.”
“Oh, you mean the broken me?” Katsuki snorted loudly, grabbing the towel from hero’s fingers. “I can’t even take a shower with the fucking lights on! Deku’s got enough shit on his damn plate that mine wouldn’t fit! He’s sunshine! Light! Happiness while I’m a piece of broken, burnt flesh!”
The dark grey eyes softened. “I don’t see that person in front of me. I see a man who’s been through some shit. You got handed a shit hand, Katsuki but you’ve grown. Izuku won’t see you any differently from the man you’ve shown him.
“He said you were his hero.”
Katsuki’s heart slammed into his ribs painfully. A new feeling hit him that he hadn’t felt in so long.
Hope.
Maybe things with Deku could be different...
Chapter Text
“Dad! He won’t tell me!” Izuku sighed again. That’s all he could keep doing. That or crying. “You should have seen him when I asked his name! He looked... terrified.”
Aizawa—his adoptive father—watched him closely. “Problem child, you’re reading into this too much.”
“How!? I’m in love with a complete stranger!” Wow. It sounded pretty stupid when he said it out loud but he wouldn’t hide it. He was in love with a man that wouldn’t give him his name. “I’m an idiot, aren’t I?”
His dad sighed tiredly. “I thought we talked about the name calling or do I need to get your pops over here.” Izuku groaned loudly, stomping his foot. “Stop, Izuku.” He frowned over at the underground hero. “Everyone has demons they are hiding because they think it’s better to be alone than give into their own wants. Patience.”
“I don’t have patience.” Izuku grumbled, flopping down on the sofa. “I crave him... he was the first person I felt—it felt like the world wasn’t on my shoulders.”
Aizawa nodded thoughtfully. “That’s good, son. Now I have to go before your pops freaks out on me.”
“Okay dad.” He pouted just a bit. “See you Thursday for dinner.”
Izuku bit down on his bottom to keep from begging him to stay. Rejection sucked but this was one of the worst ones yet. He actually thought someone could like him for him... not Hero Deku. With a sigh, he walked over to the kitchen and pulled out a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream. “Kachan can shove a tentacle dildo up his tight ass, I’m drowning in comfort food.
He thought about grabbing and bowl and being a decent human. For a split second then went for a giant spoon. Izuku stomped back to the living room, flopping heavily on the couch. Fuck today. Fuck tomorrow and fuck everything.
Izuku booted up Disney+ and scrolled through all the movies before landing on Moana... then The Little Mermaid... then Tangled and finally Frozen. Not his favorite but he needed the cute love in the beginning that would be crushed later.
Okay, can I just, say something crazy?
I love crazy!
All my life has been a series of doors in my face
And then suddenly I bump into you
I was thinking the same thing! 'Cause like
I've been searching my whole life to find my own place
And maybe it's the party talking or the chocolate fondue
Izuku pushed down the twinge in his heart. “Honey, all he’s going to do is hurt you. Don’t fall for his sweet charm... he’ll crush you soon enough.”
But with you
But with you
I found my place
I see your face
And it's nothing like I've ever known before!
Love is an open door!
Love is an open door!
Love is an open door!
“If only—” Izuku turned to a few soft knocks at his door. “Love is not an open door Anna. Leave it the hell closed.” He was just going to ignore it. It was well past the early hours of the morning and he didn’t order food, so it had to be some creepy fan.
Knock, knock, knock
The hero groaned loudly, tucking his ice cream into the crook of his arm. The carton was pretty much empty. He wasn’t even guilty. Stomping over to the front door, he ripped it open and glared at... “Do you know what time it is?!” He hissed. All the hurt/love was replaced with anger. This asshole had the nerve to show up after the way he left!
The blonde lifted his crimson eyes to his. “Can I come in?”
What?
He shook his head slightly. “How did you get my address?”
“It wasn’t hard.” The blonde grumbled. “Look, I’d love to stand here all night, but I don’t think either of us want your nosey neighbors to hear us.” Izuku frowned at the sound of a door closing in the hallway. He didn’t. It was hard enough to find a place as it was.
“I want a name—your real name.”
The crimson eyes blazed with something he couldn’t place. “Katsuki Bakugo.” Kachan... the stranger he was in love with... talked to him every day.
“Kachan...” He breathed.
“Yeah, gonna let me in nerd or what?” Kachan didn’t wait for any answer. He stepped around him and took a few steps into the entry way. “Before you start screaming at me or something... I didn’t do this to hurt you or play with your feelings. When I kissed you at the bar that night, it was the best day of my life.
“I like you.” Kachan whispered. “More than I ever should.”
Closing the door, he turned and faced the blonde. “So... did you like stalk me? Did you want to make sure I did as you said? Y-You don’t control m-me.” Izuku was going to break. He was going to fall apart to the only man that ever caught him.
The red eyes softened. “No.” he said firmly. “Meeting you at that bar was pure chance. I—you have to let me tell the story without interrupting. You have to.”
“Why?”
“Because if you interrupt, I won’t be able to ever tell you.” Kachan ran his hands over his jeans. “It’s not pretty.”
Izuku glanced down at the carton of ice cream in his arm. “We’re gonna need something stronger than.” He knew that he should throw this asshole to the curb but everything in his soul wanted to pull the man into a hug and never let go. There was so much haunting in his eyes that Izuku knew his words were true. The story wouldn’t be full of rainbows.
He sent Kachan to the couch as he went to the kitchen to grab two glasses and a bottle of wine. This was his Saturday night bottle or bad day bottle and today seemed like a good time for it. Izuku took a calming breath before forcing himself into the living room. Kachan sat on the far end of the white couch with his hands running up and down his thighs.
“Do you need anything?”
“Towel or rag would be good.” Kachan whispered.
Izuku nodded, setting the glasses down and threw the dish rag from the other night at him. “Okay, I want to get one thing clear. I’m not some asshole that would just throw you away because of whatever you’re about to tell me. I have enough in my past to probably match yours... just know that I do care about you.”
The blonde sucked in a breath then nodded his head. There were a few strands of ash blonde hair that stuck to his forehead. Jeez the man was sweating up a storm. “So, uh Camie is like my sister... and Hitoshi is like a weird ass brother I didn’t want.” Toshi is now a bastard. Kachan swallowed thickly.
“I went to UA.” Izuku’s hand paused on the bottle of wine. What now? “I don’t have some fancy ass quirk that’s meant for battle. I sweat and have amazing skin but that’s fucking it.” And now he could hear the dispatcher. The voice now had a face. “I did general studies. A few support classes and I knew all the shit in the hero course.
“We would bump into each other from time to time when you were looking for Troll Hair.” Kachan took the glass he held out to him and sighed that the coolness. “I never talked to you because I had these stupid feelings I didn’t know what the fuck to do with.”
Izuku smiled a little. “You had a crush on me.”
“Shut the fuck up.” Izuku let it slide with a nod. He wanted to hear the story. “Anyways. Fast forward to training camp.” A snap ran down his spine. He fought Muscular to save Kota that night. Fucked up his arms and everything. “I was there to help tutor the failing students with Aizawa. He requested me.” Kachan took a long drink from his glass. Maybe he should have got something stronger. “The villains showed up and Vlad was guarding the students... I was running late because I forgot a fucking textbook and my notes.
“On the way... I could hear the villains talking...” Kachan looked up for the first time, meeting his eyes. The look sent shivers through his body. “They wanted you.”
Izuku scooted over to sit next to the blonde. Thigh to thigh. Shoulder to shoulder. “Keep going.” He whispered.
Kachan nodded a little. “D-Dabi... he was the asshole leading everything. I ran into him and I fucking told him that you wouldn’t go with them. I knew you were All Might’s biggest fucking fan. Always around him, looking at him like the sun shined out of his ass.” Izuku smiled because it was all true. “I told Dabi to take me instead. I knew things... when I was bored, I would hack shit and map it out. I had information on the heroes.
“Dabi took me in as his personal plaything.” Izuku fought himself from hugging the blonde. “I-I thought someone would give a fuck! I thought the heroes would fucking save me before anything happened.”
Izuku was heartbroken for him. The heroes did work to save him but some of them were too worried about him and keeping him away from All for One. All Might barely left his side. Aizawa was nowhere to be found... he heard rumors that he went again not only Nezu’s word but the commission.
“Endeavor finally got his shit together and did his job after a week... but a week does a lot of damage. Dabi did his job—taking all the joy in it too.” Kachan set down the glass on the coffee table and reached behind his head to his long sleeve shirt. “Zawa said to be honest...”
In one movement, he pulled off his shirt. Izuku barely was able to hold back a gasp. Damn. He thought his scars were bad, but Kachan’s were on the next level. His heart ached deeply for all the pain and torture Kachan’s lived through.
Izuku carefully leaned forward and pressed a light kiss to the center of the scar. Kachan jerked away but he moved with him. One after the other, he kissed the jagged skin. Kachan shook under him, sniffling his cries and gasps the best he could. “You may have been through something terrible... but you are alive.”
Kachan fell back against his chest, panting. Izuku never let go of him. He held him through it all until the man in his arms was snore softly.
“It’s my turn to protect you, Kachan.”
Chapter Text
“How ya feeling Cam?” Well, he felt like he got hit by a fucking bus at top speed plus ran over. “I see your home.”
Camie nodded but no bright smile came to her lips. “Last night. They confirmed with an ultrasound.”
Katsuki grunted, shifting his hips on the bed until Izuku fight perfectly between his legs. The nerd was out cold, using his chest as his pillow. “You can always try again, babes.”
Camie smiled slightly. “We will… Ei was amazing—still is. He even helped change out my pad for me.”
“Fucking stop it. I don’t need to gag this early in the morning.”
“I didn’t gag once.” Shitty Hair states proudly as his dumb face came in next to Camie’s “Hey bro, what’s happening?” His red eyes narrowed in on the space around his head. “So, you finally told him.”
Camie instantly came to life. “Shut. Up. SHUT UP!!!”
Katsuki winced and turned down the volume. “You’re going to wake the nerd!” He quickly turned the screen to show Izuku’s cute face then back to him. “We talked… I cried… he helped me. That all there is.”
The phone was plucked lightly from his fingers by the sleepy man on his chest. Izuku lightly tapped the end call button before dropping it back onto the bed. "It's too early for phone calls."
"I say that every fucking day."
Deku smiled cutely, sleep swimming in his eyes. This man made him feel all kind of things. The fluttering in his chest made him want to throw up and/or pass out. “Thanks for telling me, I know it was hard, but it’s so cool we went to the same high school, and you also saved my life on more than one occasion.”
His brows pulled together as he stared down at the cute nerd, searching. “Deku, I already told you I went to UA.”
“Hmm?”
“Yeah. When the fake explosion went off and you had a massive panic attack.”
Deku’s lips slowly turned into a frown. “Well... sometimes...” Katsuki gave him a dry look, raising a brow. “Okay! Sometimes when they get that bad I black out. I mean, I remember us talking but I don’t know what it was about or the walk home or anything really.”
Katsuki leaned down and pressed his lips lightly to his. “You fucking make me want to strangle you.”
“In a very loving way, right?” Katsuki rolled his eyes as he rolled out of bed and found the first shirt to pull on which happened to be Deku’s. It hung off his shoulders thanks to beef cake over there. “Right!? Kachan!” Katsuki smirked, ducking out of the room. “You’re a big meanie!”
He totally excepted the nerd to come find him but after five minutes and the sound of the shower going, he knew he was free to do his own thing. Katsuki started with the kitchen. Dishes were piled in the sink. Trash needed to be taken out... it only got worse when he opened the fridge to find it bare. Fuck! Spiders might as well use it as a damn home.
Time to get to work... or well a few texts and an order.
Deku appeared in the living room with a towel around his neck just as the doorbell rang. Jeez that dumbass took the longest showers ever. His green eyes flashed to him before walking over and opening the door. “Ei?!”
“Hey my bro!” Eijiro greeted. Katsuki knew that there was a lot of fake happiness in his voice after the day they had.
“Hey babes.” Camie said, no pep in her voice. She walked straight to him, dropping the bags by the fridge then smashed her face into his chest. “Thanks for doing this.”
Katsuki scuffed, wrapping his arms tightly around her shoulders. “Cam, I’ll cook for you all week if that’s what you fucking want.” It was damn well true too. He may have placed the order, but he bought extra to make meals for Camie and her boyfriend. His ma always made shit for when people needed it, old habits die hard. She nodded a little, clinging tightly to him. “I’m pretty sure sunshine over there will cheer you up.”
That’s one of the best things about De—Izuku. It was fucking Izuku now. He knew the man under the suit. Izuku could cheer anyone up no matter what. Sometimes, Katsuki swore he didn’t know that.
“Are you two together now?”
“I don’t kn—”
Speech of the cute bunny. Izuku came into the kitchen, dragging Shitty Hair behind him. “And this is my boyfriend, Kachan!”
“It’s fucking Katsuki to the rest of you fuckers.” Katsuki growled. “And who the fuck said I was your boyfriend anyways?”
Izuku looked him dead in the eye. A sweet smile on his lips. “I did.” He said simply. “I’ve been told I’m pretty selfless and I don’t do anything I want. So, I’m claiming you as my boyfriend. No ifs ands or buts about it, Kachan!”
How the fuck could he argue with that?
The blonde grinned. “Just remember, Zuku, when I say jump...”
“I ask how high!” Izuku laughed, leaning into his friend. “I won’t forget, Kachan.”
Things were turning around for the better.
Izuku seemed a lot happier, more focused and just calm. His head was back on his shoulders. Katsuki took him off light duty after a meeting with Sara and the commissioner. It was nice that no one ever second guessed him.
With light duty lifted, Izuku was thriving.
Nothing stopped him and everyone seemed to notice the change in him. Fans were happy to see him smiling. Twitter and other fucking sites were full of praises for their Number One Hero.
“I heard Deku’s back to himself.” Camie snickered. “Did your big dick fix it?”
Katsuki blinked. “No. We haven’t done that.” Which was really un-fucking like him. Camie gaped at him like a dead fish. “We haven’t talked about it. I want to whenever he’s ready but I ain’t going to pressure him.”
“Aw! That’s sweet!”
“Ew fucking stop.”
Camie giggled lightly then sobered up. “And you? I know you told him about he who shall not be named in the workplace… you doing okay with it? Him knowing?”
Katsuki didn’t want to admit that he was struggling. Well, his schedule was just fucked up. Izuku came over to his apartment once and hasn’t left. That’s fine. Katsuki doesn’t mind. One. Bit. “It’s really fucking hard to keep up my routines... how the fuck do I shower around him? I-I'm not ready—”
“Baby, no one said you had to change.” Camie frowned and gripped his hand tightly. “I bet Greenie would love to take dark showers with you.”
“I...” He scowled. “I haven’t taken off my shirt in front of him since.”
“Kat...”
“I fucking can’t! He’s so pure and shit while I’m just fucked up trash.”
Someone cleared their throat behind him, and Camie let out a loud gasp. “And here I thought I was the messed up one.”
Izuku.
Katsuki stiffened. The tight skin of his back was being pulled along his tense muscles. “What the fuck you doing here, Stupid Nerd?”
“To say hi.” Izuku said softly. “You also forgot your lunch cause you ran out of the house this morning... but now I understand why.”
“I don’t fucking—”
“Maybe it’s your turn.” Izuku cut him off. “If I can’t be reckless then you can’t belittle yourself. You have trauma in which I understand. I have ten years of trauma with quirkless being stamped on my forehead. You don’t need to hide from me. If you want to shower alone in the dark, you don’t need to hide. If you want me to join you in the dark, I’m there. If you don’t… that’s fine too.
“I don’t care about the way you look.” Katsuki turned his head to find a fond smile. “I’m covered in scars, babe.”
Babe.
Wow did that just fucking tickle his fancy.
A smile pulled onto his lips without his control. "I'm starting to think you want in my pants, sweetheart."
Izuku blinked owlishly at him, processing the words left in the air. Slowly, but surely, his freckles disappeared behind his bright red cheeks. "W-Well that's not—I mean y-yes—Kachan!"
"You are so fucking fun to tease." Katsuki chuckled and opened his arms to the hero. It was hot as fuck to see him all geared up in the tight suit that hugged his thighs and ass perfectly. Izuku didn't hesitate to take him on, on the invitation. He grunted lightly when the powerful ass landed right on top of his hardening cock. "I love when you take down a villain. The deep, angry voice makes my cock so hard."
"Rude!" Camie pouted. "I'm not allowed to have sex until I'm done gushing out my vag!"
Katsuki rolled his eyes, but his eyes softened. "Cam, I promise, Shitty Hair will be there to worship your needy pussy the second he can. Didn't he promise to put another baby in you?"
Izuku shifted in his lap until his curls brushed over his jawline as he laid his head on his shoulder. Camie squealed. "Yes! Oh my god, Kats! He's so amazing!"
"You two are disgusting."
Izuku pressed a kiss against his jaw. "Says the man who keeps saving me with nothing in return."
"See! Ugh. Being in love is amazing sometimes."
Katsuki's throat grew thick. Thick with choking emotions that he didn't know what to do with. His fingers danced over Izuku's back as he and Camie talked about whatever. Izuku leaned heavily into every touch he gave. Sometimes it felt like he was just as touch starved as himself.
Once lunch was over, the three of them headed back to their work stations. Izuku promised to see his office next time. He was called away by another hero to a battle in the city. Katsuki could barely keep his head on his shoulders. Izuku's words were repeating in his head over and over again.
He'd really take a shower in the dark with me?
Katsuki sat down in the leather chair with a scuff. He pulled out his phone from his pocket, tapping the screen to life.
IcyHot: Six?
Fuck. That's today? Katsuki sent him a quick text back saying okay and got back to work. "Nerd, what the fuck are you doing?"
"My job!" Izuku laughed, wind whipping through the mic.
Notes:
Sooo... I'm thinking plot twist. Who's with me! 🤭
Chapter Text
Izuku wasn't worried. Nope. Not one little bit. Katsuki showing up outside of his agency with a dark look in his red eyes was completely normal.
Dad's going to have my ass for lying
"Soooo..." Izuku started, glancing down at their interlocked fingers. It always looked weird to see his scarred hand with his smooth one. "Where are we going?"
"It's that time of the month, Stupid Nerd."
That answered nothing. "Okay, Kachan, lead the way." Katsuki just hummed as they continued down the street. He had so many questions. It sucked. It was always really hard to hold back his mumble that threatened to spill from his lips.
Katsuki came to a stop and held open the door to a small restaurant he'd never seen before. Nothing was said as he passed the host and into the back of the place. Izuku pushed everything down as he followed Katsuki through a black curtain.
Was his boyfriend in some shady stuff?
"I was wondering if you were still coming."
Katsuki scowled. "The nerd had to get patched up by the damn nurse before heading out." Izuku's eyes widened at the sight of one of his oldest friends.
"Shoto!"
Todoroki smiled a little. "Izuku, when was the last time we talked?"
"Well, you don’t have time for little ole me anymore!" Izuku beamed happily. Todoroki was his closest friend. Though, it was hard to get together being the top heroes. "So, how do you both know each other?" he asked, curiously.
"Oh, I'm a guilt trip to him." Katsuki said dryly. "Can't fucking leave me alone to wallow."
Todoroki sighed, "I'd say pity date more than anything and I see that you both are together?" he asked, gesturing to their joined hands. "I'm shocked it's not in the group chat yet."
Izuku rolled his eyes, leaning into the taller man's side. "And why would I do that? So, everyone can be up my butt?"
"Only I can be up your ass."
He couldn't stop the squeak coming from his lips. "K-Kachan!" The blonde didn't give his normal smirk. Instead, he sat down in the booth, pulling him along to his side. Silence draped over the table. Katsuki and Todoroki stared at each other probably waiting to see who would break the silence first.
"It's been ten years since Dabi burned you." Todoroki said softly.
Katsuki stiffened against him. Izuku almost opened his mouth to tell his friend to shut it, but a sweaty hand gripped his tightly. "Y-Yeah... still doesn't fucking make it better." Katsuki muttered.
Todoroki nodded. "I hate that you have a forever reminder."
"Your face has the same."
A soft hum came from the man across from them. "True but Dabi..." Another jerk came from Katsuki but this time, he looked like he was going to be sick. "isn't your fucked up family. My mother's accident was something as a result of my father. Dabi hurt you for his own sick fun."
Katsuki shook slightly and his body lurched as he gagged. "E-Enough fucker..."
The two toned eyes shifted to him when his eyes narrowed at Todoroki. "Exposure therapy. Hound Dog suggested it one time and Bakugo has given permission to me and Shinso to use his name until Bakugo calls it."
Izuku frowned a bit. He didn't like seeing his hero like that. Katsuki was his hero in so many ways... it hurt him to see how much a name can affect him. "Oh..."
"He doesn't like it." Todoroki said, amused.
Katsuki snorted lightly. Slowly, he came back to life. "You think Japan's fucking sweetheart is going to love his boyfriend being tortured?"
"You're right."
"Always fucking am."
Izuku couldn't get the feeling out of his chest. All for One and Shigaraki may have sent shivers down his spine or made his blood boil, but never once did he ever react like that. Katsuki has a physical reaction to that name. "No, I don't." He whispered. Defeat filled his veins like ice cold water. The hero inside him wanted nothing more than to save the man he loves from all the pain... but there was nothing he could do.
Dinner went off without any kind of drama after that. Katsuki and Todoroki did most of the talking as he sat, picking at his food. Don't get him wrong, the food smelled amazing, he just lost his appetite.
"You've been quiet." Katsuki pointed out softly when they hit the quiet streets. "It's fucking weird."
Izuku shrugged a shoulder. "Not much to say, I guess."
Katsuki nudged him lightly, "You're trapped in your fucking head, sweetheart."
"I'm... angry and sad and frustrated!" He blurted. "You didn't have to take my place!"
That was it.
All the feelings inside him were made of guilt.
He felt guilty that someone was suffering because of him!
"Hmm." Katsuki hummed. "I didn't but I'd do it again." Izuku turned his head, looking up at him. "I know, you know how it feels to do things without thinking. To put yourself out there..." He paused. "A certain building collapse?" Izuku flinched. Hard. "Everyone but you stayed back. Your feet moved on their own to get to the last citizen who wouldn't have even survived once you unburied her.
"That little girl that haunts your dreams wouldn't have ever made it." Izuku didn't realize that his feet had stopped moving. He stared up at the blonde with wide green eyes "I know it might sound cold and heartless but it's true."
"B-But..."
"No buts, baby." The nickname warmed his soul, and he liked it very much. Katsuki smiled softly. "You need to understand that you can't save everyone. I'm okay. That fucker is going to haunt me, but you make it so much more." Izuku stared into the Red Sea, drowning in the love pooled inside them. "I love you... you gave me will to live, baby."
Izuku let out a choking sob. "Y-You—"
"You listen to me, baby boy." Katsuki leaned in slowly until he felt his warm breath dancing along his lips. "You may not see it today, tomorrow or even when we're old and fucking gray, but you will always be my hero..." Izuku bit down on his lip to keep another sob that was trying to bubble past his lips. "Baby..." Katsuki whispered.
Izuku shook his head furiously. He failed. He failed so many people and to think that someone like Katsuki still thought of him as a hero. His hero. “Y-You’re my h-hero.”
You ever get in your head again, talk to me.”
Izuku laughed wetly, wiping the tears from his freckled cheeks. “Take your own advice, Kachan.”
“Fuck I love when you get sassy with me.” Katsuki smirked, “Now how about we go back to my place and take a nice bath?”
“A-A bath?”
Even though Katsuki kept the smirk on his lips, his eyes grew with worry. “Yeah. I think I remember a certain hero saying he’d take a shower in the dark with me.”
Izuku smiled softly, taking his hand. “That hero sounds really smart—like super smart. You should listen to him.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Katsuki rolled his eyes.
“Do you trust me?” Izuku said as his smile grew into a bright grin.
Katsuki narrowed his eyes, “I don’t fucking like what’s going on here... but yeah, I fucking trust you—”
Izuku didn’t let him finish. Power surged through his body, green crackles filling the air around them. He leaped into the air and swiftly pulled Katsuki to his back. Thankfully, he didn’t have to tell the blonde what to do. Wraps and legs wrapped around his body in an iron grip.
Katsuki yelped loudly in his ear. “Fucker!”
“Hold on tight, Kachan!” Izuku shot out a single black tendril, yanking himself forward.
“Never do that shit again.”
Katsuki wasn’t even mad but still. That crazy ass fucker needed boundaries. The Stupid Nerd hasn’t lost the shit eating grin off his lips since they entered the apartment. And no, it wasn’t because his legs felt like jelly causing him to almost fall on his ass.
Izuku turned his back to him and slowly—fucking slowly—peeled his shirt over his head. Fuck. Those muscles covered in freckles made his mouth water. “Come on, big guy. I want to take a bath.”
That was Izuku giving him one last out.
He can do this.
It’s fucking Izuku.
Breathe, fucker and go get naked with your fucking man!
Katsuki blinked at the bare fucking ass in his line of sight. “Yup. Coming.” His boyfriend threw back his head, laughing as he disappeared into the bathroom. God, he’s so fucking sexy. Katsuki stripped off his socks, pants boxers and everything in between until he stood in only his black t-shirt.
The soft hums of his boyfriend along with the rushing water filled his ears. It’s just a fucking bath. Izuku won’t even need to see his back.
“Kachan?” A tussled mess of green curls appeared in the doorway. Concern filled his green eyes. “You can say no.”
Another out. Katsuki scoffed. “I fucking want to.” Izuku smiled softly and walked over to him in all his naked glory.
Izuku lightly plucked the hem of his shirt into his scarred fingers. “Tell me what you need?”
That small sentence hit him like a fucking freight train. He gulped, staring into the emerald eyes. Fuck... he could do this! He could— “T-Take it off.” Izuku’s eyes flickered with surprise, but he softly peeled the shirt from his body.
The second the cool air hit his tight skin, he hissed.
“You are my hero.”
Katsuki repeated those words in his head while his boyfriend led them to the steamy bathroom. Izuku gripped his hand tightly as he climbed into the water then gently tugged him in too. It was weird only because he swore, he’d be the one holding Izuku not Izuku holding him.
The water lapped over his hips, covering his legs in white bubbles that smelled of soothing lavender. “Whenever your ready baby, lean back.” Izuku whispered softly.
The blonde stared at the bubbles. “Y-You... I-I—”
“Your scars aren’t ugly, Kachan. You survived a week in hell with a sick bastard.” Izuku’s breath fanned over the tip of the scar leading to his shoulder. “Remember one thing whenever you feel like this.
“You are my hero.”
Katsuki’s heart banged into his rib cage and a sob broke through his lips. It took so much for him to take his shirt off to take a shower but here he was in the light—in the fucking tub with his boyfriend. Slowly, he leaned back, shaking against Izuku’s firm chest.
Izuku hummed lightly, running the tips of his fingers down to his hands then back up. Katsuki sank into him not caring if he was crushing the hero or not. “...love you.” He whispered tiredly.
“I love you too, Kachan.”
Notes:
I think after all that. We need some fluff. Lots of fluff. 🤭
Chapter Text
It’s been weeks since that night in the tub and Katsuki has been shirtless almost every night in front of him. The flinches, hisses and haunting filled eyes are there every time he started the shower for them, but they seem to disappear quicker with each shower. Baths are saved for Friday nights after a long week of work.
“Deku, will you please come to my office?”
Izuku glanced up to find his PR standing in the doorway with a weird look on her face. “Of course.” The woman nodded to confirm then turned, leaving. “What the heck did I do this time?”
“Probably kissed too many babies.” Kirishima snickered. “Or someone dropped their panties and got heartbroken when you didn’t help them.”
“You are one sick man, Ei.”
“Hey! You’ve never had the pussy, man.” And he doesn’t want it. Izuku rolled his eyes and tossed the redhead his pants before heading out to have a meeting he didn’t want to have.
Shinso smirked over at him lazily, leaning against the stair railing. “Hello brother.” Oh dear lord. That was never a good sign. Last time Shinso called him brother like that, dad had to bail him out of jail. They were sixteen and dumb. “I hear you have a lovely meeting with the bitch.”
“Don’t call her that!” He whispered, praying the woman from hell couldn’t hear them. “What do you want, brother?”
“Oh, I’m so excited for the torture you’re about to go through... I want a front row seat.” Shinso’s smirk grew into a full shit eating grin... and it scared him.
Izuku took a step back, a shiver running down his spine. “You’re not my brother anymore.” If Shinso knew what was going on, it meant that their PR asked him first... which meant an undercover mission. “Why didn’t you take it!” he hissed lowly.
The underground hero barked out a laugh, “It’s more suited for our number one hero.”
“I hate you so much right now.” Izuku shoulder checked his brother as he walked past him and into his PR’s office. The worst part is that he wasn’t alone. Uraraka was sitting in one of the empty chairs in front of his desk. “You wanted to see me?”
He smiled tightly. “Yes, Deku, we have a request from the Commissioner.” Great. That’s the last thing he wanted to deal with. “He’s concerned about the rising numbers in deaths on certain cruise lines.” A small frown pulled on his lips as he took the empty chair. “We’re hoping to send you on an undercover mission—”
“Deku! It’s going to be amazing!” Uraraka gushed out suddenly. “We’re going to be the cutest couple out there!”
Whoa. What?
Izuku slowly turned his head to meet her brown eyes. “No.” The joy faded into confusion and sadness. “I’m in a relationship.” he said firmly. “I’m not doing any fake dating missions or anything.” Turning back to his PR, he raised a brow. “If you want me to go then I take my boyfriend.”
Ren glanced between them before giving a slight nod. “That’s fine, he doesn’t need to know anything about the mission. Just think of it as a little couples' thing.”
“It’s Katsuki Bakugo from dispatch.” He chuckled. “He’ll know something’s up the minute I tell him.”
“Oh, really? Bakugo?” Ren chuckled. “He used to call me about Charge Bolt all the time. That Denki sure likes to cause problems.”
Ain’t that the truth.
Standing to his feet. “Send me what I need, and I’ll get Katsuki up to date.” Ren nodded and the two of them ignored the gaping fish as they went back to work.
Well, it didn’t take long before she was calling after him in a squeal. “Deku!” Izuku wanted to just keep going but he knew what would happen. Uraraka liked to throw fits. “I-I didn’t know you were dating anyone...”
“I have enough of the public in my business.” Izuku glanced over to the only exit nearby. “I don’t like others in my personal life, and I’ve told you that I’m not interested a bunch of times.” Every bar night but he didn’t have the strength to be that cruel. “Uraraka, you’re an amazing woman... but I’m more into guys than woman.”
“B-But you didn’t give me a chance...” She whispered wetly.
“There was no chance to give, Ochaco.”
And with that, he walked right out the door and started his day.
Why could she get the hint all those times at bar night? Yes, he was a nice guy and hated to hurt anyone’s feelings but Jesus! How many more times did he have to remove her fingers from his hair or hand off his chest? He’s been pretty good at nudging her head off his shoulder. Hell, he’s even switched spots with Denki.
Bless that man’s soul.
“Good morning, Hero Deku!”
“Uh... Where’s Bakugo?”
The dispatcher cleared his throat. “U-Um well, he didn’t show up for work so Sara p-put me here?” Izuku frowned and pulled his personal cell from his pocket.
Nothing.
Now the worry began to flare in his chest. “Can you track Bakugo’s phone? I haven’t heard from him—” The man whimpered in his ear which told him a lot of things. One being he knew where Katsuki was. “Tell me.”
“He got pulled over! Ingenium! H-He's trying to arrest him!”
It didn’t take Izuku long to pull the location out of the dispatcher and use Black Whip to make it across the city. Within five minutes, he landed right in front of Katsuki’s SUV. Iida had his boyfriend pinned to the ground, hands in cuffs, resting on his lower back and Iida’s hand... on Katsuki’s scarred skin.
“Ingenium! Let him go!”
Iida lifted his head, glancing behind him. “Ah! Hero Deku! I got it from here!” He stated proudly but Izuku could care less on how he sounded and was focused on the small gasping breaths of his lover. “This one decided to fight—”
Black Whip shot out from his knuckles, lifting the speed hero off the blonde and another tendril wrapped around Katsuki’s waist slowly.
Rage flowed through his blood stream...
“Deku! Unhand me!”
“What’s Hero Deku doing?”
“Heroes are fighting!?”
“Z-Zuku...”
Izuku blinked. Black Whip had taken control and wrapped Katsuki’s body in a safe blanket before dragging him over. He pulled the blonde into his arms, burying his face into his chest.
“Hero Deku!”
Katsuki nuzzled his nose into the crook his neck, inhaling deep calming breaths. “Let him go, Deku.” He whispered softly. “You're causing a scene.”
“Oh.” Izuku blurted and set the other hero to his feet. “You were hurting.”
“You’re Hero Deku, not Batshit Crazy Deku.”
Iida stomped over to them, ripping off his helmet. “Excuse me!” Izuku slowly lifted his gaze to the dark blue eyes. “He’s under arrest! You can’t just let villains free!”
Katsuki wasn’t a villain.
“Four Eyes, shut it before you make him go fucking crazy again!” Katsuki growled. It was always so amazing that Katsuki could recover so quickly. Wonder what he would be like in battle? “Nothing like your selfless ass, Stupid Nerd. I won’t rebreak my bones for fucking fun.”
Izuku inhaled the familiar scent of laundry detergent and Katsuki’s sweetness. “I don’t do it for fun, Kachan.”
A snort came from the blonde. “Uh-huh. That’s what you say all the time.” Izuku pulled back and gave him his bright hero smile.
“Why were you getting arrested?”
Iida cleared his throat. “He was speeding and wouldn’t hand over his license.” Wow. So that’s cause to arrest someone now? Great. What was the hero world coming to? “Then he was calling me names and accusing me of—”
“He’s a dispatcher—my dispatcher—so he must have been running late.” Izuku explained simply. “Not excuse to speed but did you even ask if he was in an emergency?” By the blank stare Iida was giving him, it was a no. “We talked about this Iida! You can’t just arrest someone without questions! Our agency lawyer already said that she won’t help you next time.”
Katsuki raised an eyebrow, “Now I want to hear this story.”
“Another time, maybe.” Izuku sighed tiredly. Lately it felt like there were only a few in the building that knew what the hell they were doing. “I think you need another training.” Iida opened his mouth to protest. “No. That man’s bladder burst because you wouldn’t hear him out! He almost died, Iida!”
“Of course, Hero Deku.”
Izuku took a deep breath then turned to the small crowd forming around him. He loved to interact with the citizens. Especially, the little ones. Maybe one day he’ll adopt a baby or child... maybe a quirkless one and give them the hope and life they deserve.
Katsuki pecked him on the cheek before he left to head into the HQ and appear in his ear. He still couldn’t believe Katsuki’s strength. That man carried so much on his shoulders and was still able to help carry his own pain.
“Who was that?”
Izuku smiled down at the four year old girl, her blonde hair blowing in the gently breeze. “Someone very special to me.”
She gave him an odd look, “But he kissed you. My mommy said its gross if boys kiss.” Ah. This all makes sense now.
“Love comes in all different ways and it’s okay.” Izuku smiled, “I love a man and some ladies love ladies. No matter what, love is the strongest thing you can hold on to.”
“Boys have cooties.”
He laughed softly. “That’s true. Some even pick their nose and eat it.” She scrunched her nose cutely.
“Ew. Do you?”
“Nope but Charge Bolt does.”
She gasped loudly. “NO!”
“I’m home.” Izuku called out tiredly. The rest of the day was rough. Katsuki sent him all over the city and it was past ten now. “Kachan?”
“In here, Deku.” Katsuki grumbled from the kitchen. It was to come home to someone for once. Well, Katsuki never really left that night, but he didn’t mind. Hell, he was ready for the blonde to move in. “I see the day didn’t end?”
“Toshi wanted some extra muscle tonight and stopped me before I left.” He winced, dropping his bag and tossing his jacket on the bench by the door. “I got roughed up a bit.”
And in two seconds, the blonde was on him. Red eyes searched his visible skin as his fingers stripped him of his clothes. “I’m going to fucking kill the tired bastard.
Izuku hummed tiredly as he fell right into the other’s chest. “We’re taking a vacation. A mission but I wanna have sexy time, relax and naked cuddles.”
“I’m fucking sorry, what?” Katsuki demanded.
“Naked cuddles, Kachan! On a ship!”
Chapter Text
I’m dating the number one hero.
He is not only dating but Hero Deku is his boyfriend.
Izuku’s sun kissed skin seemed to glow under the setting sun. It was only the fourth day on the ship and there wasn’t a day without a few crazy ass fans not keeping their nasty hands off his boyfriend.
The worst part was that Izuku was stuck in fucking work mode. Granted, he was on a mission, but he still should be able to relax a fucking little. Just a damn bit. All that stupid fucking nerd did was work his sexy ass off.
Fuck. I want to be in that ass...
Damn, he was so horny.
It didn’t help that his boyfriend was a cute 5’10” muscled beast with freckles covering his skin. Izuku seemed to love the sun so much, he was always shirtless in his tiny shorts. Katsuki wanted to join the shirtless club. His skin always had a layer of sweat shining on his skin. The black t-shirt felt like it was choking him, drenched in his quirk.
“I can’t believe Hero Deku is here on a couples cruise.” Katsuki glanced to his right, dropping his shades to peer at them with his deep red eyes. “Do you think he’s really here with someone?” Small Tits asked the woman next to her.
Coochie Eater scoffed loudly. “No one could tame that man, girl. He’s so sweet and kind—I bet whoever is with him is just a pitiful date. Deku would be with some rich girl on his own boat.”
Small Tits nodded in agreeance. “Totally. I wonder if she paid him with a fake ass sob story.”
Katsuki’s eyes landed on his man, sitting on the edge of the pool with his head tipped back just enjoying the sun. Fuck, those curls. If his trunks were any tighter his cock would break free. His heart fluttered hard in his chest but that feeling was crushed when one of the two bitches opened their mouth.
Why the fuck can’t he just be another person?
“You should go talk to him and give that man a ride of his life.”
That’s it.
Katsuki cleared his throat and leaned over to the two of them. “First, Hero Deku would never go for some small tit bitch.” His damn pecs were bigger than hers. “And you,” He slowly glanced down her body, stopping at her blue swim bottoms. “Your lips must be so dry if they’re being eaten by your coochie.” The two women gaped at him. “Deku doesn’t pity date, ladies, he needs a man in his life.” Pushing up his sunglasses, he sauntered over to his hero and leaned down to give him a fat kiss on the lips.
“Hi Kachan.” Izuku breathed against his lips. “Another fan I take it?”
He rolled his eyes, parking his ass next to Izuku. “They said you would pity date someone to be here and something about a ‘ride of your life’ but I’m fucking sure her coochie would eat your soul the way it’s eating her fucking swimsuit.”
Izuku glanced over his shoulder then balked. “Oh my...” The hero turned back around to the pool. “Does she know, Kachan?”
“Ha! She fucking knows now!” Katsuki laughed loudly.
“That’s just... what if there were children on the ship?” The hero leaned into his side heavily. Fuck, this shorty is heavy. “I haven’t noticed anything weird. I feel like I’m not doing a well enough job.”
Katsuki rested his cheek on the wet curls with a sigh. “Well, maybe because you need to just relax a bit and it will appear in front of your freckled face.”
“Kachan! People are dying.” He whispered quietly. “I’m the number one—”
“Baby, sweetheart, the damn love of my life.” He started sweetly. “You let that title go to that big fat head of yours.” He deadpanned. Izuku whined at him and took hand, playing with each one of his fingers. “You should take this mission and relax at least a bit. Fuck knows you haven’t been on an actually vacation in forever.”
Izuku’s lower lip stuck out slightly. “So... if this wasn’t a mission what should we be doing?”
The blonde felt a wicked smirk grow on his lips. “I can think of a lot of things. Sunbathing, hot tub... you naked in my bed.” Izuku squeaked loudly, hiding his face in his shoulder. No doubt it was probably bright ass red. “I can finally pop that cherry of yours.” he whispered in his ear. “I bet you’d cum so pretty, sweetheart.”
“Y-You’re terrible.”
“That’s why you love me.”
Sadly, it didn’t fucking happen.
“Who fucking knew that your one true weakness is getting seasick.” Katsuki watched the strongest hero gripping the toilet seat weakly, groans spilling from his pale lips. “Maybe we should fucking—”
“N-No!” He croaked. “I-I’ll be fine... o-once the storm passes.”
“Baby, you’re fucking miserable.”
The ship swayed heavily to the right, knocking his hip into the countertop, which caused Izuku’s stomach to violently empty once again. This whole thing was pissing him the fuck off. There was nothing he could do for Izuku besides change out the cold washcloth on the back of his neck or stroke his sweaty curls out of his eyes.
Knock. Knock.
“Don’t move, sweetheart.” Katsuki carefully made his way out of the bathroom. The sea was fucking pissed off about something. The ship was swaying side to side with the storm. Fuck. He needed to get Izuku into bed and drugged up with motion sickness pills. Opening the door, he frowned slightly at the eyes of a worried Captain.
The woman gave him a tight smile. “I was hoping to speak with Hero Deku.” She said softly.
“If you could get the storm to pass then sure but he’s one with the fucking toilet seat right now.” The Captain’s tight smile fell into a deep frown. “Did someone...”
“No, no. Everyone is accounted for but... this storm isn’t on any forecast or radar.” Well, fuck a waffle. “I was hoping Deku could check out the ship...”
Katsuki glanced over his shoulder towards the soft groans. “Fuck. He can’t but I’ll fucking check shit out.” Worse thing that could happen is he would have to call Troll face or Aizawa for directions.
“Are you a hero?”
“Nah lady.” He grunted, shutting the door behind him. “I was trained by the best underground hero though.” Not that it settled his nerves or anything.
The Captain handed over her radio. “If you see or hear anything, let me know at once.” He gave a curt nod before they both parted ways.
All he needed to do was find out why people were willingly jumping ship. Haven’t they watched the fucking Titanic?! Rose almost fell off and ate ocean if it wasn’t for the pool ole lover boy. Okay but if they missed the first part of the movie and skipped to the damn end like a weird.
The ship SANK!
“Dead. Died. All of the damn above.” Katsuki muttered to himself. He was fucking alone in a quiet ass ship with nothing but the creaks to keep him company. Why the fuck would he volunteer for this?
Oh. Right. Because his hero boyfriend was busy puking his guts out.
After hours of searching everything on the inside of the ship—from the halls to the dining room to the kitchen—he made his way out onto the upper deck. Katsuki glanced at the dark starry sky. It was oddly calm in the sky for the damn ship to be almost knocking him over.
Why the fuck did he agree to check out shit?
If some fucking ghost jumps out screaming hi, I’m gonna jump off the damn ship.
Bang!
“Motherfucker I said no!” He grumbled under his breath, forcing his feet faster down the dock. Katsuki’s eyes widened as he saw a thin man throw one tan leg over the railing then another. “Hey! Get the fuck down from there!”
As he pumped his legs after, it was one of the few times he wished he had a quirk. Not only was he far away but the guy didn’t seem to hear him yelling. “Oi! I fucking mean it!”
Fuck! Fuck! Fuckity fuck!
The man reached his arms out towards the ocean like he was ready to give a loving hug. Katsuki leaped forward just as the shorter man began to fall. It felt like time froze in place. His sweaty fingers brushed the fabric of the man’s white shirt, and he instinctively closed his fist.
Katsuki’s eyes widened at his empty fingers then snapped to the empty space in front of him. “N-No...” he croaked. Katsuki forced his body to move against his brain screaming at him to stop. It was like his brain was protecting him from the truth—the truth he already knew.
Gripping the damp, cool railing... he peered over the side and found nothing but ocean. Nothing... only the dark sea.
With a shaky hand, Katsuki pulled the radio from his jeans, bringing it to his lips. “Cap... m-man overboard.”
You’ll never be anything. You’ll never be more than my play thing.
The voice echoed in his head, twisting his stomach so violently he threw up over the railing. Tonight was a night he’d never forget, much like the others that lay wake deep inside to haunt him.
“Kachan!”
Warm black tendrils crawled up his legs and around his chest—avoiding the scars along his back—like a strong embrace. Deku.
“Hey... hey I got you.” Izuku gripped the back of his head as he turned him around and forced his nose to the crook of the shorter’s neck. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Shouldn’t he be the one that’s sorry?
“Do you think you’re brave?” Katsuki stared at the icy blue eyes. “You must, to take his place here, right?” Dabi smirked wickedly. “You’re going to be so fun to take a part... piece by piece.”
The villain walked over to a dial on the wall, flipping it all the way to the left. “Why don’t we make things more fun, shall we? I don’t want to fucking blow up the building or my new toy.” The air conditioning kicked on with a soft click. “Plus, you’re such a damn hot head, we need to cool you down.”
Within a few minutes, his skin was covered in goose bumps and the sweat dried on his skin. His body tensed as it fought to keep him warm... no more sweat. “L-Let me g-go.”
Dabi laughed, twirling blue flames through his fingers. “You decided to play hero, little boy.” He stalked forward and slapped the flame covered hand to his back. “It’s time to play.”
First was the smell of burning fabric... then the foul smell of burning flesh... and finally...
The pain.
Katsuki played hero and failed once more.

I think I finally found the ending. 😭

Chapter Text
Izuku stared down at the waves crashing against the side of the ship. It's been a few days since the man went overboard. It was awful informing his husband but it had to be done.
There was something he couldn't get out of his head. Katsuki's frantic mumbles hit his brain like a Texas Smash.
"I-I tried... I yelled f-for him... He c-couldn't h-hear me..."
Turning his head to the sky, he frowned. "Couldn't hear? Kachan isn't quiet..." And just like that, a light bulb flicked on. Hastily, he grabbed his phone from his pocket and dialed his brother.
"Well, hello, brother, have you lost your virginity yet?"
Izuku choked on his spit, "W-What!? N-No! I'm a mission!"
"Eh. Mission this. Mission that." Shinso chuckled. "I think—"
"Toshi! Focus!" Izuku snapped slightly. There were times and places for that conversation. "Remember back at UA—the sports festival?"
Shinso scoffed, "Where I almost had your ass over that dumb line?"
"I couldn't hear you."
"Well, yeah, Zu. It's called brainwash. You have no control over anything."
Not even movement.
Izuku narrowed his eyes at the crashing waves. "Why would someone jump overboard? Katsuki said he was going to hug the ocean."
Shinso hummed slightly, "Huh. Sounds like that old fairytale shit pops used to read. The mermaid's song— "
"A Siren!" Izuku literally slapped his forehead. "It explains everything! Why the sea was so rough! Why only the man could hear the call! Why when Katsuki yelled, he couldn't hear him!" Looking down at the sea one last time, he knew what to do. "I guess I'm going swimming."
"Don't be fucking stupid, Izuku. Your quirk isn't suited for that shit." Shinso paused then let out a tired sigh. "Kat? How is he?"
The urge to jump into the ocean was instantly gone. Izuku sucked his lower lip between his teeth, hissing as if he was burned. "Um... He locked himself in his room."
"Fuck." The underground hero hissed. "Izuku, you need to go make sure he doesn't fall. You need to fucking catch him.”
His feet pounded across the polished as he ran as fast as he could back to his hotel room. Izuku slapped the key card to the lock and tried to open the door before getting the green light. Trying once more, he shoved the handle down harshly, stumbling into the room.
“Katsuki...”
The room was quiet, the air around him hung heavy with a feeling that brought him back to the past. Izuku glanced around the room, eyes pausing on the blanket lump on the bed. His heart sank to the pit of stomach.
Once again... he put his job first.
“Kachan...” Izuku whispered softly as he crossed the room and lifted the blanket slowly. Swollen red eyes met his in a heartbeat. “I’m sorry. I-I should have been here.”
Katsuki grabbed the front of his shirt and with a hard yank, he collapsed on top of his boyfriend. “His voice gets in my head.” The blonde said barely above a whisper. “The taunts... the f-fucking voice lives in my head. Calling me the fuck o-out on all my f-failures...”
Izuku let go of his strength and sank into the blonde’s chest, hiding his face in the curve of his lover’s neck. He didn’t know what to say to make that voice leave forever. He didn’t have words to fix what happened last night.
So, right there in the moment, he became something for Katsuki to hold on to.
Katsuki’s sweaty palms made their way up the back of his shirt, nails biting along his freckled skin. “Why was I born in a world where I can’t help anyone?”
“Mama? Why don’t I have a quirk? Why am I not special?”
“Izuku,” His mother sighed tiredly. “I believe that sometimes we all are given roles in this world. You may not have a quirk and I may not have a fancy quirk but there’s always a reason.
Izuku was born without a quirk to be the final holder of One for All.
“Maybe...” He gulped, hoping he didn’t fuck this up. Katsuki needed him now more than ever. “Everyone in this world has a role... maybe you are meant to be a hero in a hero in a different way. Like being a dispatcher.” He lightly brushed a few pieces of blonde hair from the other’s forehead. “I’d probably be in a casket if it wasn’t for you, Kachan.
“You are my hero and I’m ready to spend every day reminding you of that.”
Katsuki sucked in a ragged breath, burying his nose into his curls. “I wanted to be a hero and I let that guy die.”
“No, baby,” He started sternly. Not way in hell was he going to let Katsuki blame himself for this. “I think it’s a siren. One that targets couples who are fighting. Maybe this person has a problem with angry couples but it’s like Toshi’s quirk. You can’t hear anything once your under.”
“So...”
Izuku nodded a little, hugging his boyfriend even harder. Katsuki didn’t need to finish that sentence for him to understand. It wasn’t his fault and he saw that. “Toshi is calling Gang Orca out here. Should be here tomorrow and they will find who did this.”
Katsuki’s body sagged in relief. “I wanna go on a fucking real vacation.”
“No problem.”
Katsuki thought after all the fucking crying that he’d sleep like a baby but fucking no. The damn rain was pelleting the balcony door. The wind whirled—howling like wolves over the sea. Wolves didn’t fucking belong in the ocean.
The only thing keeping him sane was the heavy ass warm body lying on top of him like a blanket. Soft snores were music to his ears and warmed his damn heart. Izuku was one of the most amazing people he’d ever met.
“I’m marrying you. I’m going to propose the shit out of you, marry you and give you the fucking world. Give you cute ass little babies if that’s what you fucking want.”
Izuku just snored away.
This nerd had his demons and flaws as did he but there was one thing that helped them through the darkness. Izuku understood him as he understood Izuku. Every scar, every nightmare, everything.
They were stronger together.
The ship rocked side to side against the harsh waves. It would only be a matter of time before Izuku was besties with the toilet bowl again. Fuck. It was going to be a long ass night—
Hear my voice beneath the sea
Katsuki stiffened as the air in the room turned ice cold.
Sleeping now so peacefully at the bottom of the sea. Sleep for all eternity.
The angelic voice filled his brain, pulling out all the darkness hidden inside his soul. Warmth began to fill his lungs with every breath.
And his mind became empty.
Sailors live so restlessly. Come with me, sleep peacefully. Listen to this siren's song. Worry not for nothing's wrong
Carefully, he rolled over, placing his sleeping lover on the bed as he stood from the bed. For the first time in years, he felt... warmth. Warmth that soaked his core and took the burning feeling away.
The scars no longer pulled.
His pain was disappearing.
The darkness was becoming light again with ever step he took.
“Kachan? Where are you going?” Izuku asked sleepily, rubbing his eyes cutely.
The nerd was always cute when he woke up.
Let my voice lead you this way...I will not lead you astray.
“Just getting some water, baby.” The words left his lips but he didn’t remember thinking them. The sweet voice was calling him. He had to find the warmth. Happiness. Pure happiness. Katsuki glanced once more at his boyfriend who was struggling to stay awake. “Sleep, darling... it’s my turn to take care of him.”
Katsuki’s brow twitched slightly. Those were definitely not his words.
Come with me, sleep peacefully. Worry not for nothing’s wrong.
He turned towards the door and barely managed to take a single step before black tendrils jerked him back to the bed. “Let. Him. Go.”
“Oh, I will hero... once he’s at the bottom of the ocean.”
Izuku growled low in his throat and jumped from the bed, running to the balcony door. Katsuki stared at the ceiling in a seeing/unseeing state. He could hear everything around him. Izuku was screaming and another voice—the angelic one was crying out to him.
The only problem was, he couldn’t move with Black Whip holding him to the mattress.
“He’s mine!”
“No! He’s mine and—” Black Whip disappeared in a flash, followed by an ear-piercing scream from outside. The warmth dissipated from his body. “No one touches what’s mine.” Izuku growled lowly.
Heavy footsteps pounded as Izuku walked back into the room, slamming the door behind him. “Are you okay, Kachan?”
“That was... fucking hot.”
Izuku tilted his head, soaked curls stuck to his forehead. “Are you sure you’re alright?” The darkness may be back, the pulling of his scars and the pain he carried in his heart but his own personal sun was standing right in front of him.
Katsuki gave him a rare smile. “Yeah, nerd, I fucking am.”
The rest of the night was him watching Izuku do his hero thing. The Siren was slapped with quirk cancelling cuffs and a mouth guard for extra protection. The Captain couldn’t stop thanking Hero Deku for all he did, and the nerd just flashed his hero smile saying it was not a problem.
The cruise was forced to close early due to the man dying the night before. Katsuki knows it will haunt him for a while, but Izuku was there to hold him when he needed it.
Back at home, things when back to normal.
Izuku instantly threw himself into his off, throwing himself back into the grind called work. He knew this was coming. The nerd had been gone for a few days but those few days had shit piling up. Sara was happy to see him back in the office—her fucking office.
“You know why you’re here right?”
“Cause a damn villain tried to get me to jump ship?” Sara nodded. “It didn’t fucking happen! Deku saved me and everything is fine. The end.”
“So, the number one hero’s concerns should be what, Katsuki? Thrown in the trash?”
“Yes!”
“Not happening.” Sara sighed a little, leaning back in her chair. “I told him to shove it instead.” Katsuki’s eyes widened slightly. No way in hell that just came out of her mouth. “I informed Hero Deku that any concerns outside of working hours can be emailed to me as a formal letter.” The blonde busted out laughing. “And I also told him if he had boyfriend concerns to wait until you both got home.
“Katsuki, I know you, you know you and I think Deku knows you pretty well. I won’t make you take time off you don’t need it.”
“I want to work, Sara, I ain’t going to let my hero run around without a real dispatcher.”
“Then get to it.”
Katsuki left the office with a smirk on his face. That nerd was going to get his ass handed to him. In the not so fun way. Sitting down at his desk, he popped in his ear piece and tapped the flashing button. “Alright nerd, I think we need a refesher.”
“Kac—”
“Nope. My fucking turn.” Katsuki cracked his neck, sighing at the sweet pop then moved to his knuckles. “I thought you knew the rules. When I say jump...”
The nerd sighed heavily, muttering the familiar words under his breath. “I ask how high.”
“We are never doing that again!”
Katsuki glanced over at his sweet boyfriend. Izuku was glaring at the ceiling with the dark sheet pulled up to his chin, hiding his naked body. “Eh. It gets better.”
Izuku whipped his head around so face, he swore it could have snapped in two. “It gets better!? When? Explain it to me Katsuki because that f... f-fucking hurt! So, unless my asshole is too small or your cock is too big, I don’t see how this is going to work!”
The poor, poor man.
“Sweetheart, didn’t you like it when my tongue was up your sweet hole? Or my fingers hitting that amazing spot inside?” Izuku came three fucking times tonight compared to his one. The damn nerd was moaning like a fucking whore.
Though... maybe he was a little rough for someone’s first time.
“I promise, baby, the next time will be nothing but love and pleasure.” He promised those emerald, green eyes. “I can kiss it and make it better.”
Izuku bit down on his lip, hard. The idiot may be able to hide his growing hard on but the lust in his eyes says differently. “Lots of kisses.”
“Don’t get bossy now, baby, otherwise I’ll have to remind you who’s in charge.”
“How high?” Izuku said breathlessly as his fingers gripped his freckled ass cheek.
Katsuki grinned down at that love of his life. “High, sweetheart, so damn high.” Looking down at Izuku, he found nothing but love in his gaze. He knew from the day they met, from the kiss they shared, it was forever. “Stupid Nerd...” He rolled Izuku over and pressed his face into the mattress.
Warmth bloomed over his cheek and for once it matched what his soul was longing for.
Notes:
I apologize for how long it took me to get this out! Life happens, shit hits the fan and my brain hates me.
But I have been working on something in the mean time. A secret 🤫 project! It's been a request before and I'm finally doing it!
Thanks for all the love and support!
