Chapter Text

It was a normal day inside SUNNY's room.

SUNNY stood in front of his old desktop computer, playing round after round of BLACKJACK. He felt annoyed by the bad connection of the computer, which was about twice his age. Then again, it was better than having no internet access at all... The boy yawned and rubbed his eyes, not looking forward to the day ahead of him.

"..."

SUNNY looked at his reflection on the computer's screen, his eyes widening as he took in the dandruff and the greasiness of his black hair. He sniffed his hair, which caused him to nearly vomit in his mouth. How long had it been since he'd taken a shower? He held his nose and opened his bedroom's door before taking slow, uneasy steps to his bathroom. Who knew that a few feet could feel like miles...

One of the corners of SUNNY's bathroom was home to a growing lump of black mold.

"Go ahead, SUNNY. Touch it."

Chapter Text

SUNNY's eyes widened.

Did some sick fuck break into his house and follow him into his bathroom? Swallowing the growing lump in his throat, he looked into the mirror.

A horribly disfigured version of his sister with hollow eyes and a gaping mouth stared back at him, even if for one second, before she transformed into someone familiar.

MARI.
MARI.
MARI.
MARI.
MARI.

How? Why? So many questions waltzed around in SUNNY's mind. He was too aware to be in a state of delirium. He hadn't gone into his father's medicine cabinet, which had been collecting dust ever since he left. Suddenly, MARI reached out a glowing, translucent hand. Her cold fingers interlaced with SUNNY's and she looked at him with a facial expression that managed to be loving, angry and sorrowful at the same time.

"Little brother. Did you not hear me? Or are you too scared to get your hands dirty?"

SUNNY couldn't bring himself to say a thing. He lowered his gaze, but his sister's empty white eyes, like two moons in a desolate galaxy, stared harder.

"Oh, SUNNY. You really haven't changed at all, have you?"
