Morro pretends to be Lloyd in order to get the realm crystal but accidentally bonded with the ninja

This fic won’t leave my head so I unfortunately had to write it(つ;༎ຶД༎ຶ`)つ I’m sorry for anyone who’s unlucky enough to stumble upon this fic and I’ll be paying for their therapy

Chapter 1: 1st chapter‼️

UPDATE: just realized theres a massive plothole so I had to edit the begining a bit

UPDATE2: theres a 2nd plothole so I had to slightly edit the chapter again :/

Morro was laying in Lloyd’d bed while the ninja were outside. Getting the scroll was… more complicated than he thought to say at least. They tried stealing it but that plan failed, then they had to do work so they can afford the scroll. Kai literally had to trade the ninja’s shares to the Tea shop for it. In the end Ronnin accendtly dropped the scroll into the sea (He was pretty sure he did that on purpose) so now they have to head to Yang’s temple tomorrow. Great. Just great

Morro stares at the ceiling while wondering why he didn’t just reveal himself. Oh well, too late for that now. Plus, even though he would never admit it, he was kinda having fun hanging out with the ninja

“You know I can hear/sense some of your thoughts right?” Lloyd interrupted

“Shut up kid, I’m having a moment” 

“Why do you keep calling me kid? I’m pretty sure I’m older than you” questioned the green ninja

“Really? According to your memories you drank magical tea that made you look 5 years older” he argued back

“Whatever, I’m going to sleep”

Once again, the room was filled with silence

“It pathetic, really”

silence

“You’re supposed to be the legendary green ninja but you just stopped fighting my possession after about a day” Morro continued

still silence. He’s probaly asleep, or just ignoring him

Morro went back to his thoughts, questioning what will happen after this. All the 16 realms are cursed, then what? The preminent didn’t excactly promise that he would become the green ninja. Why did he still wanted to be the green ninja after all these years? To feel good? To feel like he finally accomplished something?

He got pulled back to reality by the sound of Lloyd’s stomach. Morro walks into the kitchen to get something to eat but stopped and hid behind the wall once he heard the sound of someone talking

“-of course! I’d love to hangout with you tomorrow!”

“Echo Zane?”

“Oh! I didn’t see you there! I was just calling a friend. What are you doing here?” The copper robot asked

“I got hungry” He replied while grabbing something to eat from the fridge

“I didn’t knew you could uh, call people using your head” Even with Lloyd’s memories, Morro still doesn’t understand how modern technology works

“It’s an upgrade from one of my friends” he says happily

“Huh, didn’t knew you had friends other than the ninja”

“Well, I can be full of surprises”

The two talked for a while, the nindroid makes better company than he thought. Just the two of them chatting without a worry in the world. He doesn’t want this moment to end

“Are you feeling okay?”

“Huh? I- Oh.” Morro has been so deep in his thoughts that he didn’t realized he was frowning

“Echo, can I ask you something stupid?”

“Ask away, Lloyd!” Right. He was possessing Lloyd

“Have you ever get really jealous of someone?” He asked, trying his best to not sound suspicious

Echo was silent so he continued

“They’re everything you could’ve been and-”

“The only person you see as family prefers them over you?” The robot suddenly said

“How did you-” Morro was shocked, but before he could say anything he was interrupted

“I’ve been there. but I’ve found friends who appreciate me as I am” He replied

“Okayy- I’m going to sleep now”

Morro hope that he can get rid of these weird feelings by tomorrow

Chapter 2: {2} Morro angst chapter!! Yay🎉🎉

Notes:

This fic is absolutely horrendous but I’m proud of it

If this chapter doesn’t make sense, re-read the 1st chapter again since I changed the start a bit in order to fix a plot hole

also, TW for some stuff here! (idk what to put a tw for but I feel like I should)

The ninjas run as swords and other sharp objects try to attack them, when suddenly, Cole realizes something

“Wait, has anyone seen Lloyd?”

Morro stopped running once he noticed the was separated from the ninja. He summoned a strong breeze of wind to blow the swords following him away. During his time in the cursed realm, He had heard atleast 1 or 2 rumors about Yang. People say he force people to face their fears in order to test them. Morro laughed at the idea, there’s nothing he’s afraid off! (except for water)

“Come at me with all you’ve got! I’m not fucking scared of you!” He yelled

Suddenly, a figure appeared. Morro’s eyes widened in shock as he takes in who they were

“Morro... come back, I’ve missed you! Why did you run away?” His father- Wu said with tears running down his face

“YOU KNEW WU!? When!? How? What did he meant by ‘run away’?” He heard the green ninja questioning him in his head

Suddenly another figure appeared behind Morro

“Fuck, who is it this time- 

It was Lloyd.

“You really think you’re better than me?”

“Hey! I don’t sound like that!” Shouted the real Lloyd

“I’m the green ninja, everyone loves me! Unlike you.”

“You seriously see me like that? And you still haven’t answered my question! How did you knew Wu?”

“SHUT THE FUCK UP! All of you!” Morro shouted, heavy gusts of wind surrounding him like a cyclone

Then, Morro broke down sobbing.

Morro slowly opened his eyes, he was in a bed and around him were the ninja (wait- Cole turned into a ghost!?)

Shit. He began panicking, did he passed out while possessing Lloyd? What if he accidentally said something he shouldn’t in his unconscious state?

“It’s okay Lloyd, breathe, We’re here.” Wu said

When Morro was young, he would always hid in his room and cried almost everytime he failed to do something. Wu would come in and talked to him, his voice always calmed him down

“Wha- What.. happened?” He managed to stutter out

“We ran into you walking down the halls, quietly crying. I asked what was wrong and you kinda just collapsed onto me” Kai explained

“Whatever Yang did to him must’ve been brutal!” He heard Jay whispered quietly

“J- Just leave me alone. I uh, need rest”

Once the ninja left, Lloyd finally spoke up

“Are we gonna talk about-“

“Why” Morro suddenly interrupted

“Wha-“

“Why didn’t you try to regain control of your body? I was vulnerable and you could easily take advantage of that, but you didn’t. Why?”

“I don’t really know- It just doesn’t feel right I guess” He awkwardly replied

Morro laid there silently. How did he allowed himself to get into this mess? Whatever, he just need to focus on getting the realm crystal

Notes:

The original idea for this fic was just “What if Morro pretends to be Lloyd lol haha wouldn’t that be funny” but now it turned into “Morro panicks and cries because I have unresolved issues and is projecting”

Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3!! FINALLY!!

Notes:

The first 2 paragraphs were written a long time ago (about 2-3 weeks) so sorry if it sounds odd or doesn’t match w/ the rest of the story

Also I know Lloyd’s supposed to be traumatized from the possession experience and stuff but I read too many crackfics and now I can only see him and Morro as siblings/cousins who annoy the hell out of eachother and nothing else other than that

Btw I'm really sorry for chapter 2 being shit. I wrote the shitty parts in the middle of the night if and I was tired af. In the future I'll probably edit it to be better

Lloyd tries to fall asleep but he just couldn’t. His mind was filled with questions that he didn’t know the answer of and the more he thinks the more questions appeared. The events that recently unfolded had changed his views on Morro. How did Morro even knew Wu anyways? He was probably Wu’s student before he died, Lloyd thought to himself. That was the most logical answer.

He recalled a few years back when he asked his uncle if he ever had any students before the ninja. He remembered Wu’s expression turned into that of sadness and grief before telling him that he’ll answer the question another time

“What do you want to ask?” Morro snarled at him

Right. He forgot that Morro can sense his thoughts

“Well I- You used to be Wu’s student right? What happened between the two of you?”

As soon as he finished the question, Lloyd could feel his anger and hatred but surprisingly, it wasn’t directed at him or Wu. Morro was angry at himself.

Morro immediately tensed up at the mention of Wu. The ‘incident’ between them was the reason why he’s here in the first place, to prove destiny wrong, to prove him wrong

But is this really what you wanted? A part of him asked

Morro had thought about this multiple times before, does he really need to unleash the preeminent and curse all 16 realms? He could ditch her and go live with the ninja if he wanted to. Inface, he had started to bond with them a bit

“No!” he suddenly yelled out, wind knocking over some of the stuff in the room

What what he even thinking!? He can’t live with them! Wu would never forgive him for running away and posessing his nephew. Why does he keep having these thoughts!?

Fuck it He thought. I'll just steal the sword of sanctuary and leave.

Morro had made up his mind. He opened the door but stopped in his tracks when he was greeted with a familiar face

"Lloyd? Are you alright? I heard a loud noise" Asked Wu

"I-It's fine! I just.. accidentally knocked some things over!"

"Very well then”

The two of them stood there in awkward silence for a few seconds, which felt like fucking hours for Morro, with him looking everywhere but at his father’s former master’s face

“Lloyd, remember when you asked me if I had other students before the other ninjas?” Wu asked him, finally breaking the silence

Shit shit shit shit. Morro started to panic but tried his best to look calm, being afraid that he might reveal himself

“His name was Morro.. He may have been my first pupil, but he was also my greatest regret”

Of course Wu would consider him to be his greatest regret, that’s all he was and will ever be to him, Morro knew that, but he can’t help but wanting to know just a bit more about how his father Wu sees him

“Your greatest regret? Do you, like.. hate him? He asked

“No, I could never. I regretted setting my expectations for him too high, training him with the promise that he would become the green ninja. He must’ve felt terrible once he realizes that it wasn’t his destiny”

Morro grabbed the sword of sanctuary, he knew that he could’ve done something different, he could’ve disobeyed the preeminent and stay with the ninjas, he could’ve accepted that this wasn’t his destiny.

No, he already made up his mind a long time ago, He will unleash the preeminent

Notes:

Ok so I have a confession to make, I genuinely have no clue where some of the stuff in s5 take place in (where the ninja sleep and stay at ect) so I just kinda avoid describing their surroundings in general

Also this fic will (probably) end on the next chapter
