Chapter Text
Blitzo landed on the balcony, brushed himself off, and spit the grimoire out of his mouth. It had been weeks since Stolas was kidnapped by Striker, and the full moon had rolled around right on schedule. He considered just skipping again, but the thought made Blitzo’s stomach twist uncomfortably.
He opened the door and stepped into Stolas’s chambers to find them empty. Frowning, Blitzo used his phone to check the calendar. He had the right day, so where was the prince? Had he forgotten about their monthly meeting? That didn’t seem like Stolas. Usually the prince gushed about his ‘Blitzy’ coming all week with messages full of horny requests. This time there hadn’t even been an inquiry as to when Blitzo was coming.
He sent a message to Stolas asking where he was and tossed the grimoire on the bed. Blitzo had been looking forward to seeing Stolas, and wandered the room with his hands on his hips in annoyance.
He had even been anxious about the prince’s injuries, and planned on being slow and gentle tonight since Stolas was still healing. It was the least Blitzo could do since he hadn’t come to actually save him from Striker.
His tail flicked with worry.
Where was that owl?
Blitzo considered wandering the palace in search, but dismissed the idea. He would hang around a few hours and if Stolas failed to show he would leave. At least Blitzo had held up his end of the deal by showing up.
He sat down on the bed and noticed an expensive bottle of wine next to a crystal goblet sitting on the bedside table. A little note attached to it read…
To Prince Stolas
You have allowed my heart to blossom,
and I have fallen hopelessly for you.
Think of me with love always.
The words were like a punch in the gut. Blitzo picked up the card and read it several times. What the hell? Who the fuck was sending Stolas fucking love letters and wine!? And on their night!
Blitzo crumbled up the paper and let it drop to the floor. If the goetia had found a new side bitch the least he could do was tell Blitzo he didn’t have to come tonight. His chest squeezed in pain as he realized that Stolas was probably with them right now.
Blitzo bit his lip as he ignored the feelings of jealousy. They weren’t even together, and he knew it was stupid to cry. This was how it was always going to end.
But it still hurt.
Blitzo hadn’t meant to start liking Stolas. Feelings had snuck up on him over the last year.
The first time they were together it was supposed to be a quick pity fuck. Then Blitzo had taken off the blindfold and restraints, and been pulled into a plush feathered chest. Stolas had looked down at him like he was the most amazing imp this side of the pentagram. It had been so long since someone saw him like that. The rest of the night had been less about the book and more about trying to chase that feeling.
When Blitzo came over for their first passionate fornication, he meant to keep it fast too. In, out, bed the rich guy, and skip away with the book. But just as before, something about Stolas caused Blitzo to pause and take his time.
Every month it was like that. Playing around with Stolas’s silly (but also very fun) role plays, and fucking the owl until they were both panting and sated.
Then Stolas had called one night that wasn't the full moon asking if he wanted to watch the season finale of Hella Novella. They had sex of course because they always did, but it started them seeing each other outside their monthly meetings.
Sexually compatible. Similar sense of humor. Complementing personalities. Whatever you wanted to call it, there was something that just clicked with Stolas. When Blitzo was balls deep and they were kissing, a warmth spread through his body.
There was no epiphany or sudden declarations. One day Blitzo just looked at Stolas's latest text and knew… he liked him.
Deep down in his shell of a heart something was blooming that was dangerous. Bedding Stolas was one thing, but love was out of the question. He wiped his eyes on the back of his sleeve, angry at himself for letting his traitorous heart get the better of him.
He eyed the wine before picking it up. Might as well get something before driving himself home and wallowing. Using his claws, Blitzo angrily dug the cork out and took a long drink. The wine was top shelf and slid down his throat smoothly. He let the tears fall, biting back every sob out of spite and self-hatred as he finished the whole bottle.
Blitzo got up, intent on taking the grimoire and leaving, but when his feet touched the ground he suddenly wavered. His legs felt numb as he took another step, and suddenly his vision became blotchy.
Huh… maybe he shouldn’t have drunk that so fast. That high quality wine must have been high proof alcohol.
The room spun as Blitzo fell face first onto the floor. He tried to get up, but his horns felt heavy and dragged his head down. He started to panic as he realized something was very wrong.
The door opened and he heard talons walk across the floor towards him.
Oh thank lucifer. Stolas would know what to do.
“Stolas…” Blitzo slurred as he was turned over. He expected to see a pretty heart shaped face. Instead he was looking up at a different goetia. He was a white peacock with bright blue eyes.
The moment he gazed into them, Blitzo’s heart stopped. It was like he was being drawn in and suddenly he found himself consumed with a new feeling of devotion. He would do anything for those eyes.

“I knew your stupid love-potion wasn’t going to work,” Stella said to her brother Andrealphus.
The pair were sitting in Andrealphus’s formal dining room having dinner. In a cage nearby sat Blitzo who hadn’t stopped looking at Andrealphus since he was brought here. He hadn’t put up a fight, only too happy to follow Andrealphus out of Stolas’s palace. In fact, the cage was probably unnecessary since Blitzo had no intention of ever leaving Andrealphus’s side.
“Patience dear sister,” Andrealphus said. “Now are you sure this is the imp your husband has been playing with?”
“Like I can forget the ugly thing. Just look at its scars,” Stella said as she daintily wiped her mouth with a napkin.
“Then the plan hasn’t failed,” Andrealphus said. The original idea was to get Stolas to drink the love-potion and then fall for him, but having Stolas’s current infatuation wasn’t the worst outcome. Andrealphus wasn’t sure how much Stolas cared about the imp sitting in the cage, but he could still be of use.
“Can’t we just kill it?” Stella said.
“I propose we use him,” Andrealphus said and stood up to saunter over to the cage. He opened the door and Blitzo came out to stand in front of him. He had a dreamy expression with a little smile tugging at his lips. Andrealphus took Blitzo’s chin and jerked his head side to side as if inspecting him. Blitzo closed his eyes, relishing the touch.
“What is your relationship with Prince Stolas?” Andrealphus asked.
“We have a deal, and he uses me on the full moon,” Blitzo said, sounding needy.
“What kind of deal? Does he have you under contract?” Andrealphus said.
“Sex for the book,” Blitzo said. He pulled the hand on his chin to cradle his cheek. He nuzzled it, kissing the back in worship.
“Book?”
“Magic book.”
That peaked Andrealphus’s interest. “He is lending you his grimoire?”
“Yes.”
Andrealphus smiled wickedly. What a delightful turn of events. If he played this right, he could easily get Stolas’s wealth and Lucifer’s favor.
“Do you want to make me happy, imp?” Andrealphus asked and Blitzo nodded quickly. “Then I have a little job for you.”
“Whatever you want,” the imp said as if in a trance.
“I want you to make Stolas fall in love with you, and don't tell anyone about me or my sister's involvement,” Andrealphus said with a mean glint. He shoved Blitzo back onto the floor, but the imp crawled forward to kiss his robe.
Stella came over, looking down at the imp in disgust. “What will that do?” she asked.
“Patience sister. Once that imp has Stolas’s heart, we’re going to use it to crush him.”

Stolas tapped his foot impatiently as Lord Vasago dragged the meeting on. He checked the time and his brow creased with stress. He was well aware tonight was the full moon, and had hoped to keep the night free. However at the last minute the Lord had gone over his head and asked Paimon for an urgent meeting. With little choice, Stolas had shown up only to find himself beyond exasperating.
The Lord's urgent matter wasn't as urgent as he had made it out to be. His illegitimate son had made several bad deals with overlords in Pride, and the Lord had panicked that his assets were at risk. He wanted Stolas to go over the contracts, and then divine their outcome.
The news wasn't good, but then Stolas didn’t really care. He just wanted to leave and prepare himself for Blitzo. The Asmodeus Crystal sat heavy in his pocket and it was a miracle he was keeping a straight face.
Stolas collected his tarot deck and cast it into the pocket dimension he stored such things in. He stood up and adjusted his hat.
“If that's everything then I have some matters to attend to,” Stolas said briskly, already opening a portal.
“You can't leave,” Lord Vasago whined. “Your father promised you would help me!”
“I can't change a deal made with an overlord,” Stolas said with no sympathy. “Those contracts were made well and are binding. My powers tell me your best outcome is to cut your losses and move on.”
It was sound advice. Stolas found himself wondering if he should follow it himself, but the heart was far harder to cut out than money.
Ignoring the Lord's continued protests, he stepped through the portal and closed it. Standing in the foray of his palace, he removed his cape and hat with a tired sigh. His dutiful butler, Drieco, came over to take his things.
“The Marquis Andrealphus was waiting for you, Your Highness, but he left several hours ago,” Drieco informed him.
“What the bloody hell does he want?” Stolas wondered out loud. His patience was already gone and in no mood to deal with his ex-brother-in-law. “Nevermind. I'll call him in the morning. I am going to my chambers and I do not want to be disturbed.”
“Have a good night, Your Highness,” the butler said and left.
Stolas went up to his room, and entered to find it dark and empty. He let out another sad sigh. No doubt Blitzo had waited for him, and then left when Stolas failed to arrive. He pulled out his phone, and sent off a brief message with an explanation and apology.
The crystal felt impossibly heavy in his pocket now. Stolas didn't know if he could wait another whole month to give it to Blitzo, and added a text requesting they reschedule when Blitzo was available.
Feeling drained, he decided a bath and bed were in order. Stolas took a step, and his foot knocked something. He looked down to find a crumpled piece of paper. With a frown, he picked it up and opened it.
To Prince Stolas
You have allowed my heart to blossom,
and I have fallen hopelessly for you.
Think of me with love always.
Stolas felt all his feathers fluff as his heart stuttered. Was this from Blitzo?! His body flushed with longing at the thought of his beloved holding this paper as he waited in Stolas’s chambers.
But…
Stolas frowned as he re-read the note several times. Something was off. This wasn't Blitzo’s handwriting, and he knew the imp had poor spelling. This wasn't from Blitzo, or if it was then someone had written it for him.
He carefully tucked the paper into his bedside drawer, deciding to study it more thoroughly after a good night's rest.
Notes:
Edit: I wrote this before the season 2 part 2 trailer came out and had no idea the name vasago was going to be used for parrot man. So now it sounds a little silly but I'm leaving the name.
Chapter 2: Chocolates
Chapter Text
The knocking was incessant, and Stolas woke up to find it was early the next morning. Disoriented, he pulled on his robe and walked over to open the bedroom door. No one was there, and that was when Stolas's sleep-addled brain realized the knocking was coming from the balcony doors.
Seeing Blitzo’s silhouette through the glass, Stolas practically threw himself across the room. He jerked open the door and stared down at Blitzo. The imp promptly shoved a flat white box into his hands.
“Good morning,” Stolas greeted as he looked down at the box to find it was chocolates. He smiled at it. “Thank you. What's this for?”
“I need you to love me,” Blitzo said like it was obvious and Stolas blanched.
“Wh…WHAT?!” he stuttered as the imp strode passed him into the bedroom. Stolas watched as Blitzo toed off his boots, and threw his jacket on the bed. Stolas looked wildly between the chocolates to the disrobing imp before shutting the balcony doors. Setting the chocolates to the side, he came over and knelt in front of Blitzo.
Stolas reached out and took Blitzo's hands. The imp had already stripped down to only his pants and underwear, and raised an eyebrow at Stolas.
“Darling,” Stolas said, fighting his racing heart that threatened to overwhelm him. He took a few deep breaths to settle the adrenaline and nerves before he continued. “What are you doing? What do you mean you need me to love you?”
“I need you to love me,” Blitzo repeated.
Stolas blushed, but tried to keep his head. “Why?”
“Can't tell…it's a secret, but it's important,” Blitzo said evasively.
“Did you write the note I found?” Stolas asked, hardly daring to believe it.
Blitzo looked him up and down. “Did the note make you love me?”
“I was certainly flattered,” Stolas said. “Oh Blitzo. I had no idea you felt that way. I mean I always hoped but… this is a lot to take in. Especially given that I missed our appointment last night. I thought you would be upset.”
“I'm not upset,” Blitzo said flippantly.
Again Stolas questioned, “What are you doing?”
“Doing things you like so you'll love me. You like sweets and you like sex,” Blitzo said casually.
Blitzo continually dropping the word love had Stolas swooning. He tried to keep his head as he stopped Blitzo from completely undressing. The imp looked confused when Stolas brought him to the bed and helped him climb up.
“I think we should talk. I wished to speak to you last night, and… this is all so sudden,” Stolas said and retrieved the crystal from the bedside table. “You see, I wanted to give you this and release you from our bargain.”
Blitzo looked at the crystal and then at Stolas.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because you're the second best thing to happen to me. Octavia of course gets top spot, and I know being a father you would understand that. Anyway, I wanted to see if you… well we… could be together. And not just because we're trading favors, but because we want to be together,” Stolas said, feeling like he was mucking things up with his rambling.
“Why?” Blitzo asked again.
“Because I care about you,” Stolas said.
Blitzo perked up immediately. “You love me?!” he asked excitedly.
“Well… perhaps? Things are confusing with the divorce, and I want to do things right this time. You deserve that. I feel it's hard to say I love you when we haven't even had a successful date yet.”
The imp set the crystal on the side table and retrieved the chocolates. Stolas's cheeks tinted as Blitzo opened the box and pressed a one into his beak.
“Eat that. Then we go on a date, and then you'll love me,” Blitzo said matter of factly.
“Tonight?!” Stolas said as he chewed the chocolate nougat.
“No. Right now,” Blitzo said urgently.
“But…I have my duties, and don't you have work?” Stolas said in confusion. Blitzo squirmed on the bed, obviously annoyed. Stolas thought it was cute the imp was so desperate for him that he was pouting. Where this was coming from. Stolas didn't know, but he was wholly enthralled by Blitzo's drive.
He reached down and took a chocolate out of the box. Stolas offered it to Blitzo who eyed it before allowing Stolas to feed him.
“We can go on a date tonight,” Stolas agreed while Blitzo chewed. “Be here at five.”
“Where do you want to go?” Blitzo asked and let Stolas feed him again. The prince was fighting squealing like a teen girl at the fact he was feeding a willing Blitzo chocolates. It was so adorable.
“How about we start simple? Does a picnic and stargazing sound good?” Stolas asked.
“Okay,” Blitzo said and pushed the remaining chocolates into Stolas’s hands. “Those are for you.”
“Thank you for bringing them. I will say chocolates are a decadent breakfast,” Stolas said. He leaned forward and gave Blitzo a kiss on the cheek.
The kiss made Blitzo’s brow furrow and he touched the spot in confusion. His eyes flashed before the moment was gone. Stolas was so enamored with his imp he didn't even register the brief moment of clarity that the kiss had brought.
On the inside, Blitzo was screaming.
The love potion drove his base desires to please Andrealphus, but Blitzo's consciousness was fighting to take back control. It was strange to feel his body involuntarily follow the false love implanted in him.
“Kiss me again!” he screamed internally. Something about the kiss on the cheek had the love potion weakening enough for Blitzo to gain some ground before it snapped back in place.
He was certain if Stolas planted a kiss on his lips it would give him the time to break free. Even if it was only for a moment, Blitzo could quickly explain what was going on. He didn't know what the Marquis had planned, but he knew it wasn't good. Blitzo would be damned if he played a part in Stolas’s downfall.
***
At work Blitzo paced back and forth in his office, ignoring the knocks on the door and checking the time every five minutes. Millie finally opened the door and peaked in.
“We gotta get going, Blitzo. What are you doing?” she asked.
“I want it to be five o'clock,” Blitzo said evasively.
“Why?”
“I'm taking Stolas on a date,” Blitzo explained distractedly.
“Really!?” Millie said in surprise. “Oh Blitzo, that's so exciting. No wonder you're distracted. Where are you two going?”
“We're…”
Blitzo's phone suddenly beeped, and the imp took it out of his pocket. His face melted as he saw the text from Andrealphus. He went over and sat at his desk, tail curling into hearts. The Marquis was asking for an update and Blitzo started to dutifully type a reply.
“Blitzo?” Millie said, seeing her boss looking completely smitten. It wasn't like him to be so open with his emotions.
“Hmm?” the imp said dreamily.
“You alright?”
Blitzo didn't answer as he finished typing with a bunch of heart emojis and hit send. He added another text begging Andrealphus to call him. Blitzo needed to hear his voice.
“Blitzo!”
The imp jolted as Millie waved in front of his face.
“I love him,” Blitzo said with a happy smile.
Millie's eyes went wide and she leaned forward to smell his breath. “Are you drunk?” she asked despite not smelling any liquor.
“Love-drunk,” Blitzo said wistfully. “His blue eyes are just so wonderful.”
“Red,” Millie corrected. “Stolas's eyes are red.”
“I'm not in love with Stolas,” Blitzo said like it was obvious.
Millie stared at Blitzo as her boss started humming. He pulled out a piece of paper and crayons, and started drawing horses kissing with little hearts.
“We need to leave. What is keeping you two?” Moxxie said and poked his head in.
Slowly, Millie turned and left the room. When the door was closed, she motioned for Loona to come over. The hellhound raised an eyebrow but got up.
“Something is wrong with Blitzo,” Millie said quietly. “He said he's in love, but not with Stolas. And he has a date with the prince tonight.”
“That doesn't make sense, ” Moxxie said.
“I know,” Millie said. “He's acting really strange too. I think we should contact the prince and keep Blitzo locked in his office until we can figure out what's going on.”
Just then, she heard the strange whoosh that the three recognized as the sound of a portal.
“Crap,” Loona said. She threw open the office door just in time to see Blitzo step through with the grimoire and the portal shut.
Chapter 3: Date Night
Chapter Text
Andrealphus sat on a plush chair in his parlor with Blitzo crouched down at his feet. The imp was nuzzling into his leg, and the Marquis was permitting it only because he knew it would help strengthen the potion. The spell would only continue to work if Andrealphus fanned the desire it had instilled in Blitzo. He ran his fingers over the grimoire. The book, unfortunately, had a spell upon it that it could only be read by those Stolas permitted. Blitzo said he could see the pages, but the book was blank for Andrealphus. No matter. He was sure he could come up with a work around to gain its secrets.
“You're certain Stolas has no idea,” Andrealphus asked
“No,” Blitzo said with a shake of his hand.
“Good. It pleases me that you are doing as I asked,” he said.
Blitzo suddenly perked up and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a piece of paper and worked at smoothing out the edges. He shoved it in Andrealphus’s face like a child who was proud of their artwork. “I made you something!”
The Marquis raised an eyebrow and plucked the paper from Blitzo’s grasp. “What is this?”
“It’s us,” Blitzo said excitedly. The page had a drawing of a tall white horse with a huge peacock tail and a little Blitzo pony.
“Charming,” Andrealphus said sarcastically. With a flick of his hand, he crumpled the image up and sent it to the trash.
Blitzo frowned as his love dismissed the picture. “You don’t like it?”
“I’d like it better if you did as I asked and make Stolas fall in love with you,” Andrealphus said.
“But I love you,” Blitzo whined and went back to cuddling Andrealphus’s knees. “Can I eat you out?”
“What?!” the peacock squawked in a very un-regal way.
“I’m good at it. I can tie you up and make you scream,” Blitzo said with a darker tone. “You wanna be Daddy’s little cum-dumpster?”
The thought of the imp touching him made Andrealphus feel physically ill. Is that what Stolas had the creature doing? It was disgusting. The love potion would require some physical contact, but the thought of laying with the imp was revolting. At least watching the imp prostrate himself was amusing, and a little incentive could help his end goal.
Andrealphus withheld his shudder as he bent down and took Blitzo’s face. He gave him a short kiss that had the imp moaning. He tried to chase the feeling as the Marquis broke away.
“You may have more when you bring me what I want,” he said. “It’s already three. Why don’t you go make yourself presentable for your date.”
Blitzo got up. He took Andrealphus’s hand and kissed the back of it. “I’ll hold you to it,” he said with a wink and a devilish smirk.
As the imp left the room, Blitzo's inner self was also feeling violated.
“I can’t believe I kissed him! Fucking asshole god damn cock-sucking…” The swearing went on for some time before he finally ran out of steam.
Seeing how Andrealphus treated him, reminded Blitzo just how kind hearted Stolas really was. Stolas would never have thrown out his drawing. Blitzo had always brushed off how happy he was to see his art on Stolas's fridge. He hid that it made him work even harder on his drawings
He had been thinking about the prince, unable to do much else whilst trapped in his mind. Blitzo still couldn't believe Stolas admitted he cared about him and wanted to be together. He had always assumed they were just using each other, but what if that wasn't true anymore? Blitzo’s heart burned with the notion that Stolas actually gave a shit about him. It hardened his resolve to break free of this curse.
***
The first time Stolas had gone on a date with Blitzo, he went all out. This time, however, he dressed more conservatively in a muslin shirt with red vest and slacks. Simple, but still elegant. Blitzo arrived right on time. He was holding a bouquet of flowers that Stolas recognized from his own garden bed.
“How thoughtful,” Stolas said and took the flowers. He gave them an appreciative sniff, enjoying the aroma before using magic to manifest a vase and set them aside.
“Anything to make you love me,” Blitzo said. The imp was wearing a button up shirt, slacks, and his usual boots.
Stolas flushed and opened a portal to a grassy hilltop in the countryside. There was a wooden cabin nearby and above the heavens shone brightly. Everything from the lawn to the building looked well maintained.
“Where are we?” Blitzo asked.
“Sometimes I need to do my work in the human realm, so I built this place,” Stolas said. “It’s nothing but wilderness for miles and we won’t be disturbed.”
Stolas led him to the cabin. It was a small single level building with light spilling from the windows into the dark. On the porch a table had been set up with wine, candles, and a cheese platter. They sat down and Stolas poured them both a glass.
Blitzo was looking around curiously. His love, Andrealphus, had told him to make note of any secrets Stolas had. A little cabin hidden on earth sounded like something he should report.
“So, I was wondering,” Stolas said, drawing Blitzo’s attention back to the prince. “Why is it that you keep saying you want me to love you? I’m flattered, but there’s no rush.” He reached out and took Blitzo’s hand to hold on the table, and the warmth emitting from it sent tingles up the imp’s arm.
The hand holding was making the love potion weaken and Blitzo tried with all his might to hold on.
“Come on Stolas. You’re the thirstiest man I know. Fuck me in your love shack and help me get out of here,” inner Blitzo yelled.
“I want you to fall in love with me as fast as possible. It's important," Blitzo said.
“I confess I feel somewhat similar, but maybe we should take it slow. We rushed this last time and we should get to know each other,” Stolas said and gave one last squeeze before letting go.
Satan damn it!
“If that’s what you want,” Blitzo said with a shrug. He picked at the cheese platter while inner Blitzo sulked at his bad luck. "What do you want to know?"
"Well... uh... you never did tell me how you got your scars," Stolas said.
"NO! We are not going there! Don't you dare tell him..."
"There was a fire I started on accident. An explosion caused me and my best friend to get hurt... and my mom died," Blitzo said. Even with the love potion the memories had Blitzo sounding mournful. The imp sat a little lower in his seat, contrite.
"FUCK!" If Stolas held any affection for Blitzo, the goetia surely would hate him now. He hurt everyone he touched, and the prince would realize it was just a matter of time before he was hurt too.
"I'm so sorry," Stolas said, and Blitzo was astounded to see the prince looked like he was going to cry. "I can't even imagine. I always wondered why you didn't tell me but I can completely understand now." Stolas got up and came around the table to hug Blitzo. The brief contact had the real Blitzo pushing to the surface just enough to hug back. Stolas's warmth and soft feathers made his heart thud painfully. He tried to get his mouth to work, to warn Stolas, but the prince broke the hug too quickly.
"Thank you for telling me," Stolas said, returning to his seat.
Inner Blitzo couldn't believe it. Stolas didn't hate him? That didn't make sense. Everyone who knew or learned about what he did hated him. Blitzo felt something warm stir in his chest, and his inner self silently sobbed in relief.
"Maybe you could tell me something about yourself now," Blitzo said, wanting to change the subject. He struggled with the complicated emotions the love potion and confession had caused.
Stolas's eyes turned to the sky. "Well as you know, I love astronomy." He began picking out constellations and explaining the myths behind them. Occasionally Blitzo would weigh in on what he thought about a particular story, and soon the snacks were consumed. It was turning out to be an enjoyable evening, and even the inner Blitzo found himself starting to relax.
Blitzo suggested they go for a walk, remembering Stolas liked that kind of stuff. He offered the owl his arm and the prince tittered as he took it. Stolas brought him over to a small path that led from the cabin into the trees and wound up into the mountains nearby. The weather was mild, so they walked together and enjoyed the scenery.
“I felt like all I’ve done is talk. Is there anything you wanted to talk about?” Stolas said, and then quickly added, “You don't have to tell me anything personal like before. Unless you want to.”
“I’m in love,” Blitzo said dreamily and Stolas nearly tripped at the admission.
“My goodness,” Stolas said, blushing furiously.
“He’s so tall,” Blitzo gushed. “And his feathers are gorgeous.”
“Thank you.” He wasn’t sure what else to say. Stolas had never heard Blitzo flatter him before, and it made him suddenly shy.
“I just can’t get enough of that icy stare he gives right before he kicks me,” Blitzo continued.
Stolas frowned. “I’ve never kicked you. Well there was that one time when we tried out foot-fetishes but…,” he said, thinking about it. He glanced down at Blitzo who was staring off into the trees with his tail curling into hearts. “Who are you talking about? Me?”
“It’s a secret,” Blitzo said with a sigh at how wonderful it was to have a secret love.
Alarm bells were suddenly going off as Stolas bent down to look Blitzo in the eyes. They were glazed and unfocused. Stolas was so enamored with a Blitzo that brought him chocolates, agreed to dates, and was open with him, that he had been brushing off the imp’s strange behavior.
“Darling. Are you feeling alright?” he asked as he finally realized something was very wrong.
“Never better,” Blitzo said, and focused back on Stolas. “Is there anything else I can do to help you love me?”
“Yes,” Stolas said, getting concerned. “Who is your most important person?"
Loona.
"Mr. tall, blue, and handsome obviously."
"What is the world's smallest horse breed?" Stolas asked.
Falabella.
"He crumpled up my horse picture, so I don't think he likes them. I guess I shouldn't like them either."
This wasn’t his Blitzo. Or it was, but not on the inside.
"Why don’t we go back to the palace?” Stolas suggested. He needed his apothecary and the grimoire if he had any hope of figuring out what was wrong with his imp. He opened a portal and stepped into his bedroom, bringing Blitzo with him. He immediately noticed Octavia sitting on the couch as if waiting for him.
“Starfire unless it’s important, I really don’t have the time to…” Stolas began.
“Oh good. He’s with you,” Octavia said. “Loona has been blowing up my phone trying to find her dad. She said something is going on with him, and he suddenly left work with the grimoire.”
“The grimoire?” Stolas said, knowing that Blitzo hadn’t arrived with the artifact. Luckily he had plenty of spells placed on the book that would make it easy to locate.
“Watch him for me.” Stolas pushed Blitzo towards Octavia, and left the room to head down to his study. Once there, he went to one of his many crystal balls and began scrying for the grimoire. It didn’t take long considering the book wasn’t far.
The outline of his brother-in-law’s mansion was a surprise, and immediately set him on edge. His butler had mentioned the Marquis visiting recently, and Stolas was suddenly filled with rage. What the hell had he done to Blitzo?! If Andrealphus was involved then Stella was also. Filled with righteous anger and flickering with dark energy, Stolas marched his way back up to his room.
The first step would be to safe-guard Blitzo and the grimoire, and fix whatever had been done to the imp. Once that was done, he was going to tear his ex-wife to pieces. Hadn't that woman tormented him enough without hurting someone he cared about?
“Dad!” Octavia called in panic, and Stolas raced towards the sound. He entered his room to see Octavia on the balcony and Blitzo gone.
“He just jumped!” she wailed and pointed over the balcony railing. Stolas knew Blitzo was fine. The imp had scaled the palace so many times he could do it with his eyes closed.
“Did he say where he was going?” he asked urgently.
Octavia grimaced when she answered, “To his blue-eyed one true love.”

I think Andrealphus is starting to regret giving Blitzo the love potion

Sorry this chapter is late. Andrealphus gets more than he bargained for with Blitzo, hee hee

“It's complicated, Octavia. You can't come with me,” Stolas said as he readied himself to confront Andrealphus. He was now wearing a dark black jumpsuit. It looked plain to the ordinary eye, but it was made of kevlar and protective magic was sewn in.
“Uncle Andrealphus and Mum are my family too. I deserve to know what's going on,” Octavia argued. She texted Loona about where Blitzo was and the hellhound, Millie, and Moxxie were already on their way to Andrealphus’s mansion.
“I don't want you to get hurt,” Stolas explained.
“They wouldn't hurt me,” Octavia said naively. “Maybe they have a very good explanation.”
Stolas prayed to the cosmos for strength as he steeled himself for what he was going to say.
“Your mother would never hurt you,” Stolas agreed. At least he hoped that was the case. Stella hadn’t wanted to be a mother, but she cared for Octavia in her own way. “But your uncle absolutely would to get to me. I’m not even sure why Blitzo is acting strangely, and I’ll feel better knowing you're safe. So please stay here.”
Octavia huffed. “Alright,” she agreed.
“I’ll be back shortly,” Stolas said and stepped through a portal to Andrealphus’s front gate. The portal closed behind him, and he spotted Millie, Moxxie, and Loona already there arguing with the guards.
“Give us back Blitzo!” Millie said, holding a battle ax menacingly. Loona looked one step away from ripping throats out. The guards had their guns drawn but Moxxie was trying to reason with them diplomatically.
“Lower your weapons and tell your master Prince Stolas would like to speak with him,” Stolas said and glared down at the gaurds. His presence surprised them and they snapped to attention.
“But your highness…” one started to argue pointing to the members of IMP.
“Now!” Stolas barked and his anger to bleed through into his magic. The air crackled and his body smoked with dark power.
“Right away,” one of the guards said before running off with his tail between his legs.
They waited until the speaker on the gate crackled to life, and Andrealphus’s voice came out. “Let them in!”
Through the speaker there were several crashes and the sound of Blitzo’s voice saying, “Let Daddy make you feel good.”
“But sir,” the gaurd said. “You asked us not to…”
“JUST LET THEM IN!”
The guard shrugged, and a moment later the gates opened. They headed up the stately driveway to the front door and knocked once. It was opened by a servant who led them through the entryway and up the stairs. Stolas had been here several times before. The entire mansion was made of ice and decorated in blue and teal.
As they neared the private bedrooms more crashing could be heard. They finally entered came to the bedroom door and looked in.
“Come here birdy,” Blitzo cooed.
“Stay away from me!” Andrealphus shrieked.
“It's okay if you wanna play hard to get. Why don't you run and I’ll chase you?” Blitzo leered with a grin.
“I am not running…oh thank fuck you're here,” Andrealphus said when he saw them.
The Marquis had his wrists tied behind his back with blessed rope, and was standing on top of a dresser. His clothes were in disarray, and he looked frazzled. A very naked Blitzo was pushing over a stool to climb up and get him. The rest of the room was in shambles. Furniture was overturned and bits of clothing were tossed everywhere. There were also the bodies of guards that had been knocked unconscious in their bid to protect their master.
Loona took one look at Blitzo’s cock hanging out and promptly rolled her eyes. “I did not need to see this,” she said in annoyance before walking away. “I'll wait downstairs.”
“Take your imp and untie me at once!” Andrealphus demanded. Millie giggled when Blitzo managed to grab the peacock's leg and he squawked. Blitzo gave an alluring growl in return.
Stolas walked over and pulled Blitzo away. The imp wiggled and tried to escape, giving a hiss like a cat. Luckily Stolas easily overpowered him. Blue ribbons of magic bound Blitzo’s legs and arms, and Stolas set him on the edge of the bed.
“Would one of you find him some clothes?” Stolas said to Millie and Moxxie.
Millie picked her way through the destroyed room, picking up Blitzo’s clothes while Moxxie grabbed his boots.
Finally feeling safe, Andrealphus climbed down from the dresser. With the blessed ropes he wasn't able to perform magic, and started trying to get out of his bindings.
“Where did you get the blessed rope?” Stolas asked Blitzo. The imp was still struggling as Millie and Moxxie got his pants.
“He kept em after you went to the hospital. Said they could be useful,” Millie explained.
“Release me!” Andrealphus cried as he failed to get out of the ropes.
“He’s sexy when he's angry,” Blitzo said before addressing Andrealphus. “I can be the one tied up if that's what gets you going babe.”
“Babe?” Stolas said in confusion. “What the hell is going on?”
“You won't get away with this! I know everything,” Andrealphus yelled at Stolas.
“Everything?”
Andrealphus stood taller and gave Stolas a smug grin. “Your little imp confessed that you give it your grimoire to access the human realm. When Lucifer finds out you'll be finished!”
Stolas’s mind raced when he realized Andrealphus had learned of Blitzo's deal. He needed a lie, quick. Glancing back at the employees of IMP, Stolas suddenly had an idea.
“They haven't been using my grimoire,” Stolas said. “As a benefactor, I supplied them with an asmodean crystal.”
“Oh really,” Andrealphus said in disbelief.
“Yes,” Stolas made eye contact with Moxxie. “I gave it to IMP a year ago. Blitzo is a childhood friend and when he came to me asking for help, I decided it was a good business opportunity.”
Moxxie stared at him in confusion before Millie elbowed his ribs. “Uh…oh right,” Moxxie said. “Yes. We would never use the uh… grimoire.”
“Bullshit! I'll verify that with Asmodeus and find the truth,” Andrealphus said, not believing a word of it.
“Of course,” Stolas said. He would send Asmodeus a text as soon as he could to ask him to uphold the lie. The sin owed him a favor after Stolas's help with Fizzarolli's kidnapping.
Stolas began piecing together exactly what Andrealphus had been trying to accomplish. Stealing his grimoire and reporting him to Lucifer would have left Stolas stripped of his title and powers. With Via still a minor and Stella as her parent, it would have been easy for Andrealphus to take control. The thought of his daughter being used like that filled him with righteous fury.
“I know my book is here. You stole my grimoire, and kidnapped my friend,” Stolas reminded Andrealphus, letting his magical eldritch flare momentarily to show he meant business. “I wonder what Lucifer would make of that!”
If Stolas attacked, Andrealphus would be helpless with the ropes still on. The Marquis finally admitted defeat.
“It's in the desk,” he said and nodded to the piece of furniture. Moxxie went over and after a moment of rifling through drawers, he pulled out the book. Stolas thanked him as the imp handed it over and he felt the familiar magic from the artifact slide into his hands.
“Now what is wrong with Blitzo?” Stolas questioned.
“The imp has been entranced by a love potion,” Andrealphus said with a roll of his eyes. “Now untie me.”
“I will if you tell me how to undo the effects of the potion,” Stolas said.
“I don't know how and even if I did I wouldn't tell you,” Andrealphus griped, steadily losing what little composure he had left.
“Then have fun getting those ropes off on your own,” Stolas said.
Andrealphus fluffed up and his tail flared behind him. “You think you’ve won, but I am a Marquis. I learned about all the disgusting things you do with that creature. I'll…”
Stolas had had enough. Tuning Andrealphus’s ranting out, he went over and picked up Blitzo bridal style. The imp was calling to Andrealphus that he would be back soon and loved him. It made Stolas sick to his stomach. How had his friend been reduced to this? And just when he had been given hope that Blitzo actually loved him.
There were still many questions, but for now Stolas had what he needed.
He made his way down to the lobby and heard shouting. Millie, Moxxie, and Stolas hurried forward with Blitzo to find Stella, Loona, and Octavia arguing.
“I told you to stay home,” Stolas scolded upon seeing his daughter.
“Mum said you’ve been breaking the law with him,” Octavia accused, pointing to Blitzo.
“Oh fuck off!” Loona said. “Like goetia don't break the law all the time and get away with it because you're royal. You kidnapped my dad.”
“How dare you speak to me that way you filthy mutt,” Stella sneared.
“Fuck off,” Loona snapped.
“Stop it Mum. Loona is my friend. I just want to know what's going on,” Octavia said.
“Friend? This is obviously your father's influence. You are a princess, Octavia. You can't be friends with a hellhound,” Stella yelled.
“ENOUGH!”
The dark black shadow that was Stolas receded back into his owl form. He handed Blitzo to Millie, who slung him over her shoulder.
“Stella, I don't know what part you played but that is enough,” Stolas said going over to his wife. “I am taking Blitzo and Octavia and going home.”
“You aren't taking her,” Stella reached out and pulled Octavia to her. “She's my daughter too.”
Octavia now looked between her parents uncertainly. “What part? What happened to him,” she asked and pointed to Blitzo.
“He was drugged with a powerful love potion, and your uncle was using him to get to me,” Stolas explained.
Stella stuck up her beak. “That sounds ridiculous.”
“Oh really?” Stolas said sarcastically. “Just as ridiculous as someone sending an assassin to kill me. Should I tell Octavia who it was that put me in the hospital?”
Stella's eyes narrowed, “You have no proof.”
“Are you sure about that,” Stolas asked. In truth he really didn't have any proof, but Stella confirmed his suspicions.
“Ugh! Fine!” Stella said and pushed Octavia towards her father. The owlette now looked even more confused as she looked between her feuding parents.
“All you two do is fight! Well I’m tired of it. I don’t know what's happening, but I don't want to be with either of you,” Octavia said, voice hitched as if she was on the verge of tears. She ran towards the exit.
“Octavia get back here! I am your mother!” Stella yelled after her daughter, but was ignored.
Stolas instinctively went to go after her, but Loona grabbed his shoulder and he paused.
“I'll go and get her home,” the hellhound said. “Just take care of Blitzo.”
“Thank you,” Stolas said gratefully.
He waited until Loona and Octavia were safely gone from the mansion before pulling out his grimoire.
He took a moment to admire the blue cover. So much trouble over this one book. Part of Stolas wished he had never received it. How different would his life have been? Without it he would never have reconnected with Blitzo.
Speaking of which, the imp was now struggling to escape again. Andrealphus had come to the stairs landing and Blitzo had spotted him.
“Stella!” the Marquis called down to his sister. “Come and help me at once!”
Stella rolled her eyes at her brother, in no hurry to help him. She turned and sneered at Stolas, “This isn't over you imp sucking son of a bitch.”
“It is for now,” Stolas said at his emotional limit for the day.Without a word of goodbye to Stella, Stolas opened a portal and Millie, Moxxie, Blitzo, and himself departed.
Chapter Text
Blitzo was bound to a chair sitting in the middle of Stolas’s living room with a ball gag in his mouth. Surrounding him were Stolas, Millie, Moxxie, Asmodeus, and Fizz.
Stolas had called the Sin of Lust in order to uphold his earlier lie, and when Asmodeus had learned of the situation he came with Fizzarolli to help. Ozzie was familiar with these types of enchantments. While love potions were illegal in his ring, there was a lot that slipped through the black market. His hand lay on Blitzo's forehead as his misty magic circled the imp. Finally, he pulled away.
“Well it's a love potion alright. A strong one. I can't break it,” Asmodeus stated.
“Then what do we do?” Stolas said despondently.
“I said I can't break it, but that doesn't mean it's permanent. True Love's Kiss should break the curse.”
Moxxie snorted in disbelief. “You're kidding. Like a fairy tale.”
“Where did you think those stories came from,” Asmodeus said. “Doesn't have to be romantic love, although that's the kind that's sure to work. So anybody who loves Blitzo and he loves in return can try giving him a kiss.”
Everyone looked at each other before heads swiveled to Stolas. The goetia fluffed up under the scrutiny.
“Me?! But I… perhaps you two?” Stolas said and looked at Millie and Moxxie.
“I mean I love Blitzo as a friend, but I don't know if we should be kissing him,” Millie said and her husband nodded in agreement.
“Fizzarolli?” Stolas asked, getting desperate.
“Maybe when we were younger, but a lot has happened. I think our relationship is too complicated for me to do it,” Fizz said.
“What if we waited for his daughter,” Stolas suggested, his voice getting weaker as he ran out of options.
“Do you really want to leave Blitzo like this until she gets here with Octavia?” Millie asked.
“And Loona barely let's Blitzo hug her. I doubt she'll want to kiss him,” Moxxie added.
Finally out of candidates, Stolas resigned himself to his fate. “I guess I'll have to try then.”
“We'll give you two a moment alone,” Asmodeus said and gave him a good natured pat on the back before leaving. The rest filed out leaving Blitzo and Stolas facing each other.
It wasn't that Stolas didn't want to kiss Blitzo, but there was the cold weight of doubt in his gut. What if it didn’t work? What if this kiss proved once and for all that Blitzo didn't love him. Could his heart take the anguish?
Blitzo's inner dialog was also panicking because he knew deep down that this would work. It explained why every moment with Stolas had weakened the spell. But was he ready to have the fact they loved each other known.
“Actually I like the idea of waiting for Loona. I’m fine with being like this a bit longer. She'll give daddy a kiss on the cheek and this can all be over,” Blitzo thought.
Stolas leaned down and pulled off the ball gag. Blitzo blinked at him as the goetia took his face and tilted him forward.
Just the touch alone was enough to have Blitzo feeling the spell ebb a little. “Fuck… we’re really doing this, huh?”
“I'll understand if this doesn't work, and I promise I won't give up on trying to break the spell,” Stolas said.
With those final words, Stolas bent down and kissed Blitzo.
True love's kiss was more than just lips meeting; it coiled raw emotions in a symphony. They both felt its effect coursing down their veins when Stolas’s love fought to break the spell.
The walls of the spell cracked with pure light. Blitzo pressed his will against the enchantment. But it wasn't enough. It was strange to feel Stolas’s love flooding through him from the kiss. It made him want to cry, and a warmth blossomed within him. He realized that he needed to give in. It had to be mutual.
“Alright fine,” Blitzo thought. “I… I love him.”
As soon as he acknowledged his feelings the spell finally broke.
Stolas pulled away and looked down at the tied up imp. “Blitzo?”
The imp's face pinched as he tried to keep the tears inside. He didn't want Stolas to see him fall apart. A hand took his chin and he tried to wiggle away but it forced him to look up.
“Did it work, Darling?” Stolas asked softly.
Something about the pet name finally had him biting his lip in a vain attempt to keep a sob from rising up. “It's me,” he choked out.
“Thank Lucifer,” Stolas said as he released the breath he had been holding. He quickly got Blitzo’s restraints undone and then he was hugging him. The tears worried Stolas. He had checked Blitzo over for injuries but he wondered if he had missed something.
“What's wrong? Did he hurt you? Did he touch you?” Stolas asked, feeling the sudden need to return to the mansion and crush Andrealphus.
“Nah,” Blitzo said and wiped his eyes as he took a shaky breath to calm down. “I mean he threw me around a bit when I was trying to rape him. Thanks for stopping that by the way. I don't think I could live with myself if that had happened.”
“You remember everything?” Stolas asked, and Blitzo nodded.
Needing comfort after his ordeal, Blitzo cuddled his face into Stolas’s chest. The owl’s shirt kept him from burying into feathers but the scent was soothing.
“The kiss… it worked because you love me?” Stolas asked, a smile spreading on his face.
Blitzo’s tongue tied. Saying it outloud seemed to still be beyond him. Blitzo tried to hide his blush but the owl was persistent as he nuzzled in and gave him another kiss.
“I love you,” Stolas said and the words were a direct hit to the heart. Blitzo's flushed face darkened.
“You can't,” Blitzo said, embarrassed.
“The kiss proved I can,” Stolas said, so impossibly giddy at how flustered he was making Blitzo.
Part of Blitzo wanted to just brush their newly confessed love back under the rug. It would be easier to leave it there, out of sight and out of mind, and return to the status quo.
“It won't work out,” Blitzo protested again weakly. “I… I'm not…” The word worthy danced around in his mind. Stolas deserved better than him.
“I told you. You're the second best thing to ever happen to me,” Stolas said.
“After Octavia,” Blitzo remembered and a bit of the fight went out of him. He sat up a little straighter, latching onto an opportunity to change the subject. He untangled himself from Stolas, and tried to calm his nerves by slapping on the smile he wore as a mask.
“Why don’t we check on the girls. They've been gone for a while, and I’m all better. Wouldn't want Looney to worry about her old man, and you should probably have a talk with your kid,” Blitzo said.
“Can we talk later?” Stolas said hopefully.
Blitzo wanted to say no but one look at Stolas's beautiful face had him promising, “We'll talk later.”
Everyone's obnoxious told-you-so grins when they exited the living room almost had Blitzo bolting. Instead he scowled.
“What are you looking at?” he said, eyeing Fizzarolli's shit eating grin.
“True love,” the imp said and winked at his old friend. He barked out a laugh when Blitzo threw up his middle finger.
“Have the girls returned?” Stolas asked.
“In the kitchen. If you guys are good, we’re going to head home,” Ozzie said. Stolas thanked them, and The Sin and Fizzarolli bid them goodbye.
Blitzo turned to Moxxie and Millie. “You guys leaving too?”
“We should get home, and I'm guessin' you two need to talk,” Millie said.
“We…” Blitzo glanced at Stolas “...got a lot to sort out so take tomorrow off. I feel like I got hit with a truck anyway.”
Stolas opened a portal to the couple’s apartment building.
“I’m glad you're better, but be a bit more careful what you drink next time, Sir,” Moxxie said as he helped his wife through.
“Can it Mox,” Blitzo said, not in the mood. “Or next time you can give me a true kiss on my ass.”
“I’m just saying…” Moxxie started, ready to jump into one of his lectures before Millie touched his shoulder and coaxed him into their home without more fuss. The portal closed, and Stolas and Blitzo made their way to the kitchen.
Octavia and Loona were sitting at the table. Loona was playing some game on her phone, and Octavia had her headphones in while she sipped a mug of tea. A plate with the crumbs of a snack sat between them. Despite both girls being lost in their own thing, they looked comfortable sharing space with each other.
“Better?” Loona asked. They nodded.”Thank fuck.”
Octavia glared up at Stolas but didn't say anything.
“Starfire…” he ventured.
“Loona told me some of what’s been going on. I'm mad at you and… him,” Octavia glared at Blitzo. “I wish you had told me the truth, but it sounds like Uncle Andrealphus was being awful too so…” She shrugged as though she didn’t care, but it was obvious she did.
“I just want to protect you,” Stolas said earnestly.
“I’m not a kid anymore,” Octavia said.
Stolas wavered for a moment before rubbing his lower eyes. “You're right,” he said with a resigned sigh. “How about tomorrow we have lunch and I'll tell you anything you want to know.”
“Okay,” Octavia said. “Can Loona stay over night?”
Blitzo looked at his daughter and she shrugged. “I have nothing better to do and Octavia actually has decent music taste,” the hellhound said like it was no big deal, but her wagging tail gave her away.
“We’ll be in the bedroom if you need us my owlette,” Stolas said to his daughter and gave her an affectionate peck on the head. The teen waved him off but a smile tugged at her lips.
Feeling better that they had cleared some of the air with their children, Blitzo and Stolas retired to the bedroom for the night.
Now that they were alone, Blitzo felt Stolas’s eyes on him. He kept his gaze to the floor, focusing on stripping down. “I need a shower after being naked near that fucker. By the way your brother-in-law is dead the moment I feel better.”
“I would appreciate it if you didn't try to kill him on your own,” Stolas said.
“You wanna help? Fine by me,” Blitzo said and walked into the bathroom.
Stolas tidied the clothes Blitzo had left strewn on the ground before leaving out a pair of clean boxers. He got undressed and was settling in bed when Blitzo emerged.
The imp was completely nude, body still slightly damp from the shower. Stolas took a moment to admire the muscles of his chest that tapered down in a V at his groin. Even flaccid, Blitzo’s cock was impressive. Stolas's gaze wandered to taunt thighs and ass, and spines that could shred sheets. Large horns stood above a proud handsome face, and Blitzo’s tail waved behind him. And then there was the man inside: ambitious, creative, resilient… Stolas could go on and on.
Perfect. Flaws and all.
“I love you,” Stolas said and he saw Blitzo visibly shudder.
“Stolas…” Blitzo said like he was going to protest.
“You said we would talk,” Stolas reminded him.
Blitzo slid on the boxers and sat on the bed. “Fine.”
“Why aren't you happy about this?” Stolas asked. “I love you and you love me. I'm so overjoyed by the idea, but you seem upset.”
“Because we can't be in love,” Blitzo said.
“But we are,” Stolas said, reaching out a hand to touch Blitzo’s shoulder.
“And now what? You gave me a crystal and broke the deal because you lov… care about me,” Blitzo said. “So how does this work now? Do I just come over for booty calls? Am I supposed to take you out on dates? What about our kids?”
Love between them was impossible. An imp and a goetia prince in love?!?! Who were they trying to fool?
“We’ll make it work. Even if it's hard,” Stolas assured. Blitzo let Stolas draw him into the bed and he crawled under the covers. They lay facing each other. Blitzo felt like they were making a huge mistake but a part of him was also happy.
Stolas cuddle up close to him, rubbing into Blitzo's chest and hooting. “Can I hear it?”
“Hear what?” Blitzo asked although he knew exactly what Stolas wanted.
“That you love me,” Stolas said and looked up at him with luminous scarlet eyes.
Blitzo felt his stomach squirm. He looked away and mumbled, “I love you.”
Stolas gave him a kiss and pressed his body fully against Blitzo. Heat radiated from the contact. “Again.”
“I love… you,” Blitzo said more clearly and was rewarded with more kisses. Like the True Love's Kiss they filled him with light and longing that could break any spell.
Notes:
And that's the end of my stolitzweek 2024.
