Chapter Text
Lizzie wasn't sure how they got to this point, but she'd rather not let that distract her from the demon currently trying to break the obsidian pillar that she and the others are currently taking refuge in.
The obsidian pillar that could give them the time needed to let Gem cast the spell that will hopefully banish Scott's demon brother back to wherever he came from.
"G-Gem are you sure this is the right spell?"
Fwhip shouted, making his voice heard through the explosions and loud collisions outside.
Xornoth was wrecking and smashing each and every one of the pillars, trying and failing to locate the emperors each time.
"Do you trust me or not?!"
Gem shot back, panic taking over her magic and concentration.
"I don't trust the magic circle that's floating above our heads!"
Lizzie looked up, and sure enough, a barrage of alphabets from a language none of them knew shot out of Gem's magic circle on the ground, forming a second one above their heads.
"You two save your sibling quarrel for when we're out of Xornoth's reach!"
was the last thing Pix managed to shout out, before the emperors heard something loud crash outside their obsidian pillar-
"I got a connection!"
The others turned to the source of the voice. The voice that came from a witch with hat that was a tad bit too big for her.
Gem's eyes shone bright, matching the glow of the -somehow- pulsating magic circle. She closed her eyes and felt the familiar tug of a server opening it's portals. The same tug she feels when switching servers. The same tug she felt when she joined her friends to create their very own empires.
The same one, but something felt off about the server that was tugging at her magic. Instead of the familiar swirls, warm air and the tiny particles that tickled her skin she usually felt emanating from a server portal, Gem felt coldness and a rigid atmosphere from the one infront of her.
Less of a portal and more like an automated steel door.
Also, why does it smell like the ocean near Lizzie's palace?
Gem opened her eyes and cast the finishing spell-
Portal or door, as long as it could get her and her friends away from the demon terrorizing their home, she counted it as a win.
And if she felt a little sad for leaving said home and the empire, along with the people she built up from the ground with her whole heart, then that would stay between her and the ever watchful eyes of the universe.

Joel felt an immense headache, memories of the previous minutes- seconds? hours? He wasn't sure, but they all came crashing to him until he remembered what happened.
Gem's eyes were glowing, until the magic circle let out an even brighter light, encompassing them and lastly hearing his friends' screams before he passed out.
Joel tried to open his eyes, only for his headache to worsen, caused the bright lights around him.
He wasn't at the End anymore, and unfortunately that means the sudden change of light in his surroundings was a recipe for a major headache.
Despite the pain, Joel opened his eyes for a brief moment and searched his surroundings before his eyes landed on a familiar figure with pink hair laid beside him before promptly passing out again.
'Lizzie's safe.'

Aizawa hopped out of the car to see Hawks perched on top of a branch of a nearby tree. Aizawa quickly looked at the river Hawks previously mentioned only to see that there was infact, a whirlpool.
Rivers this small shouldn't be able to form whirlpools.
"Do whirlpools normally appear in rivers?"
Hawks flew down beside Aizawa, eyes not leaving the riverbank.
"Whirlpools can appear in rivers, usually at bottoms of waterfalls. Not a river this small. This river is small enough to be a creek, or a stream."
Aizawa responded, fixated on the whirlpool slowly growing larger by the minute.
"Then why is it still called a river?"
"Not the time to question the government's decisions, Hawks."
Aizawa faced Hawks briefly before glancing back at the river.
Orange.
Aizawa activated his quirk on instinct, but it did nothing. The whirlpool suddenly started swirling the opposite way. Instead of sucking water towards its center, it seemed to suddenly dispell water from it.
And along came girl with orange hair. With a ridiculously big hat.
The girl was spat out by the whirpool into the river, the body floating motionlessly.
Just when Aizawa was about to take another step closer, another body was dispelled by the whirlpool. This time, a man of brown hair with beige thin robes that were almost transparent because of how thin they were.
The whirpool continued to spawn multiple bodies- or people, assuming they were still alive.
Soon enough, more heroes were called in to drag the unconscious people from the river to the surface.
Aizawa and Hawks watched as Kamui Woods started lifting the bodies from the river and gently placed them besides the medical staff they called in to help.
"They aren't dead?" Aizawa asked, keeping his quirk activated incase an attack happened. These were random people from a whirlpool. They could be bait- or a distraction.
"The medical staff checked their pulse. Faint, but still there." Hawks replied. He let some of his feathers swarm the area, helping the staff carry medical equipment from the vehicle to the doctors watching over and checking the unconscious group of people.
"O-One of them woke up!" A doctor shouted to the heroes.
Aizawa immediately sprinted over, Hawks trailing behind him.
The staff watched wordlessly as a brown haired man with a green streak infront lift his head and open his eyes briefly, seemingly looking for something- or someone.
The man stopped when he looked beside him and stared at the girl beside him, before passing out again.
Aizawa walked over, inspecting the girl. Pink hair, light blue skin, a white dress, and fish features.
'A fish mutation quirk perhaps?'
Aizawa noticed no abnormalities with the girl and signalled the staff to bring out the stretchers and bring the group of unconscious people to the nearest hospital.
As the staff gradually placed each one of them onto the stretchers, Aizawa took notice of the clothes worn by the people being carried into the ambulance.
"Real fancy get up huh? They kinda look like royalty. If you ignore the mud stains and debris from the river. Look! 3 of them even have crowns"
Hawks pointed out, seemingly noticing what Aizawa was thinking, leaning over to look at some of them in closer detail.
Aizawa gives an acknowledging hum, wondering what these people with fancy gear and clothing were doing in a local river, and why did they end up in a whirlpool.
