Chapter Text
What did I do?
Keigo never knew any answer to the questions that flooded his brain, stuff would happen to him, and he didn’t know what. He would just be given punishments for doing the wrong thing, but he didn’t know why. Just like this morning, he got a call from the hero commission asking if he could come in, he didn’t have anything on today, not even hero work, so he showed up not prepared for what was happening.
Hawks stumbled down the streets, broken, grazed and sore. The twilight breeze brushed against his skin, sending shivers down his spine. His body covered in grazes and bruises, his wings were filthy and messed up, and he had cuts on his skin, that bled out. He could feel everything, every little step, turn or twitch of muscle killed him. Excruciating pain flooded through him.
He spent all day at the hero commission being tortured, he didn’t know why, he didn’t know what he did wrong, no one told him. When the commission decided they were done with him for the day, they kicked him out of the building and left him on the street, in the middle of the freezing night. He’s been walking for ages, his legs hurt, his muscles twitched and spasm, and he could feel his body becoming weak with every minute that passed. He needed a fly to go, a place to lay low so he could take a break, but his apartment was too far away, and flying wasn’t an option now.
The night was quiet, and peaceful, it wasn’t busy, or crowed with people, the streets were almost empty. Only a few night owls around the streets, talking, getting drunk and most importantly enjoying themselves. If Keigo was being honest with himself, this was the only good part of the night, the blackness was like a blanket, the stars twinkled like fire fly, and the full moon shone brightly in its place, giving some more light to the sky, everything was peaceful, and it was the only thing that took his mind off the pain.
Fuck I need help.
He was lost, he felt like he was walking in circles, his body protested against him, he needed to stop walking, he felt like he was going to collapse at any second, but he couldn’t stop, he was in the middle of nowhere, and if he stopped he’ll most likely cause attention to a few people and cause a commotion. He couldn’t have that, the commission will kill him if that ever happens, so he pushed through the pain. He didn’t know how much more he could take.
Hawks subconsciously walks into a dark alley way, the temperature in the air became colder, an unbearable shiver danced its way down his spine, goose bumps took over his body. Why is it so cold? Questions, it’s always questions, why can’t he get answers. He needs answers. The cold floor he was walking on, froze his feet through his worn-out shoes, the soles of his feet felt like they were going to rip off. The visual thought of the skin of his feet ripping off, shook him to his core as a wave of disgust washed over him.
Just more questions and less answers.
The terribly injured hero made his way to the ends of the alley way and stopped at a familiar door. This isn’t a good idea; I shouldn’t be here . Hawks didn’t have much of a choice, he was here now and it’s not like he can just walk away, he’s too weak. Black dots started to cover his vision. Shit. He reached out to the metal door and weakly knocked on it three times. The sounds of the knocking echoed loudly in his head, he felt sick, he’s already lost a lot of blood and he knows that he won’t have much time left.
Come on please.
The metal door opened and the heated lights on the inside blinded him, Hawks tried his best to stay upright and stay conscious, but he didn’t have much of a choice. He started swaying and held onto the wall beside him to keep himself up. Breathing was a struggle and it hurt, everyone was in pain, his vision went blurry, and he couldn’t focus. “Birdie?” A husky and hoarse male voice questioned him. He knew he was talking to him, but hawks couldn’t focus he was too weak. Keigo pushed himself back to standing, but it was not long after that, his body became limp, and he fell forward. Purple scarred arms wrapped themselves around him, it was the last thing he saw before his vision we black and he passed out into infinite darkness.
