Work Text:
Charlie watched with horror as Angel and Valentino fought in the office. She heard everything, the entire struggle.
"What makes you think you can treat him like that?" She was furious.
"Charlie, just stop." Angel moved in front of her.
"Do you think I'm deaf? I heard everything."
"It's all an act." Angel tried to sound convincing.
"Was the part about me being 'Lucifer's little bitch' an act too? You wanted me to fix your boss and I'm going to do that."
"I don't want you to be hurt."
"Then it's about time I take care of this problem before it can." She turned her focus towards Valentino. "You think I care that you own Angel? Whatever contract he signed? I'm the princess of hell. And you will treat him with respect."
"Contracts are legally binding," Valentino said.
"Do you think that I'm clueless?" She summoned the contract that bound Angel and Valentino together. "Was there a clause requiring you to be mean? Was there a clause requiring you to treat him horribly?"
"It allows me to do so."
She turned it into ash. "Binding indeed."
"You haven't even read it!"
"I don't need to."
"We had a deal."
"You mistreated Angel. You made him terrified. I don't care if that was allowed by your contract, if it was, it shouldn't be."
"Look – look here," Valentino said. "He agreed to it!"
"I did," Angel said with a whimper.
"Including that provision? What kind of a fool do you think I am? I'm sure he'll agree to continue to work here without a contract," Charlie said.
"Are you going to prevent us from signing contracts now?" Valentino said. "It's essential to ensure that the other person keeps up their end of the bargain."
"As princess of hell, I can nullify contracts as I please. The realm is home to the violent and the depraved. You don't maintain the right to rule without power."
"That's so unfair."
"Hell is unfair. And at my Hazbin Hotel, you can earn a chance at redemption." She turned toward Angel. "We're leaving."
"Right." Angel followed Charlie as she left the studio.
As soon as Valentino was out of earshot, Angel said, "I'm sorry about how I acted towards you. I – I didn't think it would happen this way."
"You were under duress, I understand."
"That was hot. I didn't know you had it in you." Angel slapped her on the shoulder. "And since when can you burn up contracts? I never knew."
"It's not like most people go to school down here. How would they know? We don't exactly give out welcome-to-hell pamphlets to every new soul. Is there even a welcome pamphlet? Should there be one? What do you think?"
Given the unwise choices other sinners made in the studio, they were quick to flock to Charlie once she walked a good distance away.
"C – Can I try this Hazbin Hotel thing?" a sinner said.
"The more the merrier," Charlie said. With one, came two, then three and more.
An enraged Valentino ran outside. "They're all quitting. All of my employees."
"It does not sound like my problem."
Charlie and Angel led a crowd of sinners to the hotel.
A very surprised Vaggie said, "Who the fuck are all these people?"
"People who want to try a shot at redemption," Charlie said.
"Uh, wow. That's all it took?"
"Can I talk to you? It's important," Angel said to Vaggie.
"Uh, sure… And why are we leaving the hotel."
"Just trust me on this."
"We are not having sex."
"That wasn't even on my mind."
Angel left with Vaggie while the staff tried to accommodate the new arrivals. Not that there was much space given the crowd of twenty people. They had to divide them up into two people per room – not that they were happy about it.
As they finished assigning everyone rooms, Vaggie came back with Angel.
"We need to talk, now," Vaggie said.
Just like Angel led her, she led Charlie away.
"Where are you taking me?" Charlie asked.
"A place where no one else can hear."
"Why?"
"Do you know what you've done?"
They arrived at an abandoned building as secluded as could get within the city. It was there that Vaggie felt it was far enough from prying ears.
"You nullified a contract.
"So?"
"I did not know you could do that."
"What's the big deal? I helped Angel."
"Other people will take advantage of that. There will be chaos. And they'll use you! It's a wonder that it hasn't made the news already."
Charlie shrugged. "Most of the overlords already know. It's no big deal."
"How?"
"You don't think the overlords have lived so long without getting on the bad side of Lucifer at some point, have you?"
"I don't want to see you be taken advantage of."
"Don't worry," Charlie said. "I got this. Let's get back to the hotel and greet everyone."
By the time they got back to the hotel, Angel was the star of an orgy. A cock in his mouth, one in his ass, and pleasuring four cocks at the same time, one with each hand.
"Hey, want to join us? I'll let you cut in line," Angel said. "Or you could take a hand. Or do you want me all to yourself It's fine if you don't want to share."
Charlie's jaw dropped. "Could you not have sex out in the open?"
"Oh, come on, how else am I going to repay you? It's not like there's much to do around here besides fornication. We have a single television screen and a few drinks. Plus, you interrupted our workday."
"Didn't they not want to be there?"
"Ahem," a sinner said. "I just hate the boss sometimes. It's a nice job, otherwise. He has issues. And now, I don't have to work for him! Thanks to you."
"You came here for a chance at redemption."
"And what does that entail?"
"Being kind to each other. Trusting each other."
"May I introduce you to some BDSM? It's a great way to build trust between individuals."
"No, it's not. It's only an activity you do with someone you already trust," Angel said. "Where did you get that idea?"
"Right!" Charlie said. "I'm touched but… I'm not into that stuff right now. You're welcome to stay here."
"Hey, Husk, think you can write a script for us?"
"I'd be happy to," Husk said.
Angel asked, "Charlie, I don't suppose you want to join us?"
"You're not going to win her over that way," Husk said.
"And you're the expert? Who said I wanted to win her over?"
"She already has a girlfriend that is in this room – right over there. But you can start by taking her out to dinner."
"He's the expert. Do you want to go for it? You have no idea how grateful I am."
Vaggie said, "Have fun, you two. Go watch a movie together or something." She pushed them both out of the hotel. "Everything will be fine here. Enjoy yourselves."
"Vaggie doesn't believe in me!" Angel said.
"What do you mean?" Charlie asked.
"Never mind. Let's enjoy ourselves."
