Chapter 1: The Beginning
Chapter Text
[Tommyinnit fell from a high place]
[Tommyinnit left the game]
It took only a single message for the entire server to fall silent. Many silently rejoiced in the death of the exiled teen while few mourned the loss of a friend.
It’s a funny thing really, to have your death be celebrated. To watch as the people you once fought alongside and grew to know treat your death as if it was the best thing that ever happened to them and perhaps it was. But who was he to know? After all it’s not like they could hear the dead.
A little zombie piglin child could be seen happily talking with their pet chicken in their room oblivious to the fact his parents were having yet another argument only a few rooms down. It was quite a cute sight seeing the child chat with their pet in what sounded like gibberish to any normal person who didn’t understand the piglin language.
For those who did understand the child, like a certain ghost in the room watching the child talk with their chicken, you’d know that the child was telling their chicken stories about a certain blond teen that fought bravely against a tyrant to take back his home.
The child told the story with admiration in his voice as he acted out some parts of the tale adding life to the story he was telling. As the child continued his story telling the blond haired ghost silently listened as they watched over the child who remained unaware of their presence.
Notes:
Kudos and comments are always appreciated! :3
(Btw does Michael's chicken have a name? If so pls tell me but if not feel free to comment some suggestions! :D)
Chapter 2: Food
Chapter Text
It was a new day and the zombie piglin child was home alone. It was a normal occurrence for the child with both his parents leaving either to work or to visit a friend.
It didn’t quite matter where they went because in the end he was left alone in their mansion that was too big to only house a child and their pet chicken.
Like any other day the piglin child is left alone he spends it making drawings to give his parents when they return and when he gets bored of that he plays with his chicken. The only other being there to accompany him in the empty mansion.
It was nearing lunch time and he was starting to get hungry so he got up and headed to the kitchen. Arriving at his destination he was greeted by the heavenly smell of freshly made food. He let out a happy squeal when he saw the still-hot food waiting for him on the counter.
He quickly got a stepping stool and dragged it over to the counter to get his food which always seemed to appear when he was hungry. He grabbed the plate of food and brought it to the dining table where he sat in his chair.
The teen watched the undead piglin child with a soft smile which was soon replaced by a slight frown at the sight of the unoccupied seats that surrounded the table the child sat at.
Their frown deepened as they watched the child happily eat their food as if nothing was wrong and it was normal for them to eat like this. The teen could only sigh because that was the reality of it.
If it had not been for him preparing each meal for the child they would have starved until their parents returned. (When he first saw the child being left alone they weren’t left any food and he had to watch as they waited for one of their parents to return which wasn’t until nearly nighttime. Since that day he prepared each meal for the child as well as snacks they could have in between meals)
Later that day when the child’s parents returned he hugged them while thanking them for the delicious food they made for him. His parents could only assume that the other (once more) came and made their child food and then left again as they returned their child’s hug.
Notes:
Gah ty all for the kudos!!! Didn’t expect people to read this so ty! :DDD
Chapter 3: Toys
Chapter Text
“Hey Boo did you get Michael another toy?” A short brunette asked picking up the toy in question that was left discarded on the floor. “Uh, I don’t think I did? I thought you got it for him?” The enderman hybrid said with slight confusion.
The brunette shook his head and placed the toy back with the rest of the toys many of them being ones he doesn’t remember seeing but assumed it was the enderman’s doing.
“Maybe you just forgot about getting it for him” he offered with a shrug “maybe…” the enderman mumbled pulling out a book titled “Do Not Read” beginning to write something in it.
Elsewhere a certain ghost was trying to figure out which toy to gift the child this time. They currently were debating between a chicken plushie and a strider plushie. In the end, he took the chicken plush to gift to the child making sure to take some wrapping paper on the way out of the shop.
An excited squeal could be heard coming from the piglin child’s room as they excitedly opened the gift that appeared at the foot of their bed. It was messily wrapped with pinkish-red wrapping paper that had yellow polka dots with random pieces of tape plastered everywhere most of them not even keeping the wrapping paper together.
To top it all off the messily wrapped gift had a gold-colored bow on top of it which the child carefully stored away with the rest of the gold trinkets he had.
Peering inside the now unwrapped box he was greeted by a white chicken plush that looked a lot like his pet chicken only with a red bowtie wrapped around its neck.
He gently took the chicken plush out as if it was the most fragile thing in the world and looked at it in awe before hugging it closely while squealing happily. He then stood and ran out of his room with the chicken plush held securely in his arms.
They watched the piglin child with a fond smile as they unwrapped their present and then ran out with the toy in hand. He didn’t bother to follow him knowing that he likely ran off to thank his parents.
He couldn’t help but let out a bitter sigh at the thought of them taking credit for his gift once again but it’s not like he could blame the child for thinking his parents got him the present. After all, it’s not like they knew of his existence.
Notes:
Fun fact! Tommy steals all the toys he gifts to Michael lol
Anyways hope u enjoyed! Feel free to comments your thoughts :D
Chapter 4: Sleep
Chapter Text
The ghost sighed when they found the child asleep in front of the door again. It was a reoccurring occurrence to find the child asleep somewhere that wasn’t their room as they waited for their parents to come home.
Normally he found the child asleep in front of the door or by the window but recently he started finding the child in odder places.
At first he only found the piglin child asleep in front of the door or by the window but now he could be found almost anywhere such as in the closet, on the kitchen counter, and sometimes even in a pile of clothes. He’s even found them asleep in their toy basket before.
To say he was worried was an understatement but the most he could do was move them back to their bed when they fell asleep. (He knew his parents wouldn’t come home until much later into the night and sometimes they won’t even come home at all)
The piglin child drowsily opened an eye as they felt themselves be jostled slightly. It was dark so they couldn’t really see much but he was able to make out that someone was carrying him.
He closed his eyes again and relaxed into their arms after he concluded Bee and Boo were home and one of them was taking him back to his room like they always did.

Chapter Text
It was a well known fact that piglins adored gold. Whether it be a gold coloured ribbon or gold jewelry, they’d treasure it forever. To those unfamiliar with piglins then it would just seem like an obsession they had, but for those who knew or grew up with a piglin, much like a certain blond ghost, you’d know that it was much more than an obsession and more of a necessity.
For a piglin gold represents how much their sounder cared for them and that they still wanted to be in their sounder. This was why it was important to piglins, especially shoats and runts, to receive gold from their sounder. If they didn’t receive any gold from them then it would be the equivalent of being disowned by their sounder.
While this is common knowledge for piglins and many other Nether races it isn’t well known among most Overworld races. So sometimes when a piglin grows up in the Overworld where it isn’t well known a misunderstanding would occur and if it wasn’t resolved the piglin will leave since they’d think they didn’t want to be sounder anymore.
When it came down to piglin shoats and runts it was much more severe when they didn’t receive gold from their sounder because if they didn’t feel loved or wanted then they’d shut down and stop eating which eventually resulted in their death. So it was extremely important to shower piglin children with gold when young.
This was why when he found out the piglin child he chose to watch over didn’t own a single piece of gold other than a gold nugget, that was given to him by his parents when they first adopted him, he was appalled and decided to take matters into his own hands and set to work in finding the best gold he could find for the child.
Ever since then he left a piece of gold jewellery by the child’s bed every morning. And just like all the other times the child would wake up and let out a happy squeal at the sight of a new piece of gold before happily storing the gold jewellery away with the rest.
The child would then go and thank their parents by giving them a gold coloured item they found in the large mansion. They would then confusingly take it while thanking their child for the gift.

Me: “I write for fun I don’t care what other people think”

Chapter 6: Blanket
Chapter Text
Winter was just around the corner meaning the already cold temperatures in Snowchester were beginning to drop. This drop in temperature caused the child to become significantly more drowsy, spending most of their day sleeping. It didn’t take long of course for a certain blond to take notice of their odd behaviour. Although, initially brushing it off as the child growing and needing more sleep.
It was one of the many times he found the piglin child still asleep in their bed even though it was already midday. Sighing, he could do nothing but watch as they peacefully slept. As he was watching he couldn’t help but notice how thin the blankets were and the slight shiver the child had.
Frowning he went to find a thicker blanket to cover the child with only to return with two more thin blankets after discovering the rest of the blankets in the mansion were also thin.
When he found out about this he could help but be disappointed and angry with the child’s parents because how could they possibly not think of buying thicker blankets when they lived in an area constantly filled with snow? (He already knew the answer. They simply were never there)
Even with the extra two blankets the child was still slightly shivering although less than before. He went to retrieve another two blankets and only then did he come up with an idea that would solve the lack of thicker blankets in the mansion. He quickly returned to the child’s room with the two blankets before rushing out to find the materials he needed to start his project.
It wasn’t until a week later that he finished. He neatly folded the blanket he had made before putting it inside a box and messily wrapping it with raccoon print wrapping paper and topping it off with a blue bow just like before.
He made his way to the child’s room peaking inside to see if they were awake and after confirming they were still asleep they quietly entered and carefully placed the gift at the edge of the child’s bed for them to wake up to.
A few hours later the child woke up from their slumber and was greeted by yet another poorly wrapped gift that was always the highlight of their day. Scrambling out from under the blankets that were layered on him he excitedly reached for the gift finding it was heavier than usual which only added to his excitement.
They eagerly tore at the wrapping paper (they made sure to save a piece of it like they’ve done with the others) and opened the box. They were met with a knitted blanket that looked soft to the touch. It was a pastel pink and had gold thread running through it. He looked at it with awe carefully taking it out of the box.
It was, just as it looked, extremely soft and unbelievably warm. They squealed happily as they traced the gold thread finding that it was real. It was then decided that this was his favorite gift as he wrapped himself in the blanket and waddled off to go find his parents.
And if the child’s parents felt like the blanket was familiar then that was for only them to know.

Chapter Text
A child could be seen happily playing in the snow as their parents watched. To an outsider it would simply look like a happy little family spending time together, but to those who knew better they’d know it was nothing short of a miracle considering the child’s parents were hardly ever home nowadays much less spending time with their child.
So much things considered you can’t quite blame the blond for initially being surprised when he saw the child’s parents home that morning and preparing breakfast. You could imagine his shock when they decided to take the child outside to play. Now that in itself would’ve been fine if not for the fact the child didn’t have any proper clothing for the winter cold.
After seeing them pay no mind to this fact he had got to work in making the child winter clothes. Starting small with a simple pair of mittens so they could at least have some protection against the winter cold in the meantime while he worked on making other things for them.
Later that night when it was time for bed and the child finally returned to their room after a tiring day of playing in the snow and spending time with their parents they were met with a poorly wrapped gift left on their pillow.
Having already gotten used to finding these he was quick to open it and peer inside the box. Inside were a pair of carefully made striped mittens. One had light yellow and white stripes and the other was pale purple and white.
The blond watched from afar as the child ran to their parents like all the other times and hugged them with childish glee. He smiled at the sight but couldn’t help feeling slightly bitter over it after all it’s not like they were the ones gifting the child things. But at the end of the day it’s not like they could see the dead.
Notes:

Well enough of that and enjoy the chapter! :3

Chapter Text
Bee and Boo left again…
But that’s ok! They were there when he woke up yesterday and even let him play in the soft white stuff that fell from the sky! He thinks Bee called it snow? He doesn’t remember though, he was too busy trying to see if he could eat it. He could! But it was really really cold.
It didn’t matter though because it tasted good and was really crunchy. Plus, Bee laughed when he ate it! Boo didn’t though he tried making him spit it out and looked panicked. He didn’t know why because it wasn’t dangerous or anything, just cold.
Really cold…
Meanwhile, on the other side of the seemingly empty mansion that housed only the child (and his chicken) a blond teen was knitting away as they made a scarf for a certain undead piglin child.
That night, as per tradition, yet another poorly wrapped gift was left on the piglin child’s bed. And just like all the other times the child has found said gifts, he’d happily open it, feeling warm and fuzzy every time they were met with something so obviously thought out and made with upmost care. And if it weren’t handmade it was certainly bought with him in mind.
Notes:
Choose a number 1-3! (it’s to choose the ending :>)

Chapter Text
That night when the zombified piglin child fell asleep the blond ghost who had previously been watching over the child took to roaming the mansion. As he did so he heard muffled yelling. He sighed as he went the other way not wanting to listen to the sound of his best friends arguing yet again.
He found himself in one of the abandoned rooms of the mansion. One that had been closed off from the rest, isolated. The key to it having been lost during some point in time. Inside the dust covered room were trinkets that had been his when he was alive. There were his disks,a single allium he had been gifted, a blue cardigan, a crow’s feather, a paper crown, and some other items that had held some form of sentimental value to him.
He wandered around the room for a little while, reminiscing on the history of each trinket, until he found it, a red beanie he had made in L’manburg when he had barely learned to knit. It was one of the first projects he was proud of and while he has improved significantly since then he could never find himself to throw it out even if he only wore it a handful of times since L’manburg always had rather warm weather.
He looked at the beanie for a moment, deep in thought before finally deciding on what to do with it. He gathered the beanie and the materials that he needed and set to work. (Only stopping when he had to prepare food for the child)
That evening when the child was eating he snuck into their room quietly greeting the chicken that looked at him curiously. He set the gift on the piglin’s bed and left. Of course not before waving the chicken, Benson, good bye.
And if later the next day the piglin child was seen wearing a suspiciously familiar red beanie no one noticed. No one but the blond ghost that only smiled from afar when he saw them proudly wearing it for all to see. No one but the child’s parents who felt a strange familiarity with the red beanie. No one but the child’s chicken who saw who gifted it to the child.
