Teyvat Academy [GENSHIN x MHA]

Summary:

Nedzu did not expect an email from the famed yet secretive academy, Teyvat Academy. Try as you might, there is little to no information on the small country of Teyvat, only that there are rumors that the whole population is quirkless, and some are experimented on to get 'Visions' or quirks corresponding with the elements. And that they look like a big cult, worshipping people called 'Archons'.

But, the attack on USJ was deadly, and Class 1A is shaken, so perhaps the private school is the safest option. Maybe Nedzu can get more information out of the experience as well.

-- OR
Ningguang runs Teyvat as a school, and offers Nedzu an exchange program to keep Class 1A safe while hiding their own secrets.

Notes:

Woohooo, finally a Genshin and MHA crossover fic! This will be a wild ride, some chapters short, some long, so buckle in and enjoy the show!

-- P.S. : updates are kinda wonky so yknow..

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Nedzu did not expect to see an email from the headmaster of Teyvat Academy, Lady Ningguang. Of course he was suddenly wary, but the refuge of Teyvat's country was a bit too promising, even for him, the resident rat god (dubbed by everyone else). Which was how Class 1A wound up in their homeroom classroom, having to deal with the new information of going to Teyvat for probably the first and only time in their lives.

Midoriya, ever the curious one, raised his hand. "Principal Nedzu sir. To clarify, the headmaster of Teyvat Academy has invited us to Teyvat as an exchange program?"

Nedzu nodded, while Bakugou scoffed. "Shoulda been obvious, nerd."

Midoriya ducked his head, while Iida's perfect raised hand shot up. "Principal Nedzu sir! How long are we assumed to stay in Teyvat, sir?"

Nedzu hummed. "That's a good question, young hero. Lady Ningguang has let us choose how long. Personally, I say a month or two months, to accurately see how they treat their students." Iida considered, this, then sat back down, satisfied with the principal's answer.

Aizawa then cleared his throat. "Then it's settled?" His tone wasn't much of a question, but everyone nodded either way.

"One more thing," He cut in. "This will double down as a spy mission, considering how the outside world knows next to nothing about Teyvat. Try not to make friends with the students there. We will be going to find information and see how they work. Is that clear?"

The class hesitated, before nodding with a new found vigor. It was their first mission, since they were only first-years. Nedzu hummed in approval, before clearing his throat to gain the class' attention.

"Alright. Lady Ningguang has sent details of how we will be getting to Teyvat. The ship will be arriving on Friday. As it is currently Tuesday, you have 3 to 4 days to get ready. Bring your essentials, and anything else you deem necessary. Apparently, the ship is very large, in will be impossible to miss once you get to the docks." He huffed, before looking at the class. "Is that understood?"

1A all nodded, clearly more than excited for their new trip to the elusive country. They had a few days to pack. To the class' horror, Mineta seemed excited. Midoriya gagged and moved away as Mineta murmured under his breath, "I hope the girls there are pretty."

Aizawa just made a sigh then clapped once. "Dismissed. Go start the packing process."

The class then rushed out, eagerly running through the halls to reach the dorms to start packing. Which was how, in around 4 days, they ended up at the dock, looking for the large ship -- that was apparently impossible to miss -- that would take them to the elusive continent of Teyvat.
