Chapter Text
Life could truly be unfair and heartbreaking. That's a fact of this world I had to learn once I'd reached 54 and still looked 25; the only sign of my age being the strands of grey that began to peak through. I had gone to any doctor I could, because what was happening to me should not have been possible. In the year 2102, my final attempt to understand what was happening ended with my going to a research facility where they were also housing the Chinese family of a glowing baby.
It was then I'd realized there was something bigger at stake here. As, not only had I out lived my family, my best friend, and my partner; but I'd also began to live to watch my cousins, nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews grow and live and die. I was also living beyond what my soul wanted. By the year 2294, riots and civil war had broken out between "Quirkies" and "Normies" in Japan, and I was admitted into a sort of protection and observation program, as I'd lived to 293 years looking to be 25.
Watching from my tv in my facility room as people killed each other over powers or normalcy, all I could feel was appalled. While a war was raging across the seas, I was safe being observed and protected, allowed to get my 13th degree. I need to start putting in effort in keeping balance, and currently Japan was having the biggest struggle. Standing up from my place on my sofa, I walk to the wall console next to my front door and rang my "doctor".
"Dr. Rollind. It's Clover, in room 0001... could I make an appointment with the chairman?"
It's practically unheard of for anyone to ask for the U.N. chairman, however I may just have a deal that he can't refuse. Hearing the small crackling of the speaker Dr. Rollind's voice echoes through, "I don't know, Clover. He's been really busy with the Japanese Meta War issues."
Quick to respond, I just turn towards the console, "I know, Rollind, but that's what this is about! You've recently discovered with the latest quirk studies technology that my cells haven't been ageing at all. You've diagnosed it a Meta-ability, an immortality quirk so why not utilize my ability? I could work harder, train, study, and be a security measure to assure that Japan remains balanced in their meta-ability matters!"
Silence. Before Chairman Exametor pipes up from the console, "Okay Miss Parks, that's a very agreeable idea. Especially in the face of your latest diagnosis and your current capabilities. As of today, I, Chairman Exametor, am placing Miss Clover Parks in Japan until either the Meta-Human dilemma is solved, Shigaraki is dead, or she, herself, dies."
My console and room recordings were being broadcasted to the U.N. conference room the second I brought up the Quirk War. And now I was being transferred to Japan until further notice. Exhaling sharply at how quick this was going, I look up to the cameras in my room and nod before bowing.
"Understood, Chairman. Will I be in another facility or shall we put some of my degrees to work and I live in the country sides of Japan?"

After some fine tuning on the U.N. Councils part, I was finally moved to Japan, however there had been a break through in Japan and so, 4 years later in 2298, I was moved to my new position. Turns out, I'd be living above a relics shop in the small town of Musutafu, funny. The Meta-Human War had just been settled, however with the information provided to me to give to Chairman Exametor by one Kudo Bakugou, we knew Shigaraki (now going by All for One) is still alive, but in hiding.
As the century passes, as do the wielders of the "newly" discovered One for All, of which I've become the ally and shadow guardian.
Or well, I was supposed to be.

My un-aged green eyes twitch in agitation as I watch Toshinori waste more of his embers decimating a simple sludge villain. I could have handled it myself, I was positioned from the alley across the street to grapple hook the blonde child from it's clutches, but Toshinori had to follow the young green child into the heat of a small battle. Standing from my crouch, I sigh frustratingly, "I'm too old for this shit." Pulling a cancer stick from the box in my pocket, I flick my lighter open and inhale the slow death I've come to long for. 352 years I've been on this earth, and my soul was ready to leave. Helping people was all fine and dandy but since Nana's passing, shadowing Toshinori has become harder. He purposefully avoids my help, regardless of how long I've been doing this and how many battles I've seen.
Since he plans to work at Yuuei to find a successor, I've been furthering my Education degree to properly teach along side the excellent instructors and heroes there. Whipping out my personal phone, I scroll through my texts, seeing a missed text from Nedzu.
~~~
Nedzu: Parks-san you're more than qualified for the position you're asking for, of course you may have a job here! Are you available this Saturday to discuss open possibilities, create your entrance and staff badge, and meet who you'll be shadowing?
~~~
Smiling softly around my dying cancer stick, I type a quick yes to Saturday's plan, before stopping by another alley.
"...so what do you say kid? Would you like to take the torch and become my successor?"
I freeze. Allowing my anger to surround me, I allow my silver hair to cover my pissed off face.

Izuku's POV
Before I can accept All Might's offer, a sudden chill settles over our area.
"Toshinori~. You're not being stupid are you~?" The voice was chilling. Deep, and yet, somehow comforting; like a thick knitted blanket with hot chocolate at grandma's house. All Might freezes in fear, turning to the source.
There, standing slightly in the shadows of a near by alley, was a petite woman. Her skin was tanned, freckled, and scarred. Eyes, only comparable to the softest tropical seas, raged as they settle over All Might's skinny form. The woman's most striking feature, however, was her hair; a striking aged silver. Not a natural white, but a course veil of thick silver hair.
As she steps closer, her gaze locks onto my kneeling form and teary eyes. She softened, and the warmth there could only be described as "nostalgic". Stepping past All Might, she crouches before me, before gently wiping away a tear from my cheek.
"You don't need to accept the offer immediately, honey. He should be telling you the entire tale," her gaze hardens again as she side eyes his shaking figure just behind her. Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out a green flip-smart phone. "Why don't we call your guardian and have them meet our little group at my shop. I believe it's best if your guardian is involved and informed. This is a big discission, sweetie."
Almost as if sensing it, she's quickly in front of All Might, glare as cold as a controlled hurricane in the Bermuda Triangle, cold and mysterious (deadly), "He is a child, Toshinori, morally and legally, his guardian needs to be here; and even if they don't agree to take your quirk, NDA's need to be signed because you're an impatient idiot."
Shoulder checking the shaking Number one hero, she strides onward. Looking over her shoulder, she smiles gently at me as I leap forward to follow, dialing my mom as we walk.
"Hello?" Smiling at the sound of my mom's voice I greet her, "Hi mom! I was calling to let you know, uhm, well..." unsure what to say, I look over to the short woman next to me. Sensing my eyes, she holds her hand out for her phone. Handing it to her, she's quick to ease my panicked mother.
"Hi, ma'am, I apologise for bothering you so late into the evening, but I'd like to extend and offer to you and your son to talk about some events that occurred today."
"..."
"Yes ma'am I can text you the address to my shop and home... no, as hostess, I'll provide a late dinner to you and your son... Oh, it's really no issue, hun." As she spoke to my mother, an American accent became more obvious, well managed and handled when speaking Japanese; as if she's been speaking it forever. Flipping the phone closed after exchanging 'see you laters' and 'byes', she looks back at me again as we step in front of a small, yet tall brick building.
"Clover's Trinkets and Relics, open since 2298" was read on the hanging sign and window stickers on the glass of the door, a bell chimes softly as the doors opened.
Curious, I look around at all the old relics and trinkets. Things I've never seen before, photos of times only seen in history books. Awed, I turn to the woman, "Wow, Miss, this is amazing! Is this shop family owned?"
Confused when she and Toshinori share a small fond chuckle, she shakes her head; "I won't beat around the bush, honey." Gesturing me over to her, she points a painted nail at a picture on the wall behind the desk. Small and inconspicuous, there hangs a picture of a small family; faded with time, but labeled with a print date. Upon reading the print date I freeze, as in the picture is the woman on what looks to be her 25th birthday... in 2026... over 300 years ago.
Turning to her, she stands there with tired, sad, and wise eyes, hand held out to shake. "It's nice to properly introduce myself. Hi, Midoriya, I'm Clover Parks..,"
"The real first quirked human on earth."
