Chapter Text
Danny was sitting in his castle, he was looking over the endless sea of paperwork. Soon, Danny would turn 1574 years old. All of his friends and family, due to ecto contamination, were ghosts.
The breakdown his parents had when they realized they could both feel and experience emotion was BIG. They figured out most of their research was wrong, and after the breakdown, they were getting better at treating ghosts well and apologized to all of them. Danny was happy to see them change. He was happy to know they were changing their views.
But back to the paperwork. You would have thought after over 1500 years it would stop, but no. Between Hell and Heaven and ALL the afterlives from all dimensions, there was a lot.
“Young Daniel.” Great. It was Clockwork.
“Yes, what do you need Clockwork?” Danny said, very annoyed. He didn’t want to deal with clockwork right now.
“You need to take a break,” he said, which surprised Danny. “The infinite realms can wait for the next while. All this work is bad for your mental and physical health.”
Hearing something like that from Clockwork was different. But it was true he hadn’t been happy for a while. Other than the occasional visits from his family, his friends, and his rogue-turned-friends. After a bit of deciding he packed everything he needed. He hopped into a random natural portal. And with help from Desiree, he made an identity. He got a job because he was bored and wanted something to do during the day.
A pizza delivery driver, Except he used his powers to deliver the pizzas without a care for who sees him. His first deliveries were okay, with the occasional rude person. Most were nice. Another order Danny thought. This one was a 30-minute drive away. He would get there in less than 1 second if he used his powers. He got many powers after all these years and he was a swift flier. He waited for the pizza and then flew to the house.
Young Justice was ready to relax after a hard day's work, they just had to finish their after-mission report and then they could go back to the base and hang out. They ordered pizza and expected it to be here in about 30 minutes. It only takes a few minutes for the after-mission report to Batman. To their surprise, not even a minute after they got to their base, the doorbell rang.
“Check who it is.” Night wing said
Wally checked and to his surprise, it was the Pizza dude.
“Pizza for a Wally West,” Wally who was out of his suit said yes and got the pizza, tipping the man for being fast.
“Pizzas here!”
“No way,” Dick said, “it would have taken at least 30 minutes just to drive here.”
“I’m being serious.” To YJ’s surprise, he was being serious. They sat down and relaxed for the rest of the day
