Work Text:

Impulse has been on the Isle since he was born.

He's been with Tango and Bdubs since he was eight.

He's been making bombs and selling them since he was ten.

Tango and him have been the masterminds behind creating the bombs. Bdubs was the one who got the word of them having bombs for sale out on the street. He's also the one who gets them ingredients.

It's been hard, that's for sure, but most of the time they've been able to have enough money to live (mostly) 'legally'.

Etho, one of their allies, works with team Canada, but has been a supplier of both blueprints and ingredients to them, and they have multiple debts to the man. So if team Canada needs something, they get it. There's not really a thing as friendship on the Isle, but in another life, Impulse thinks they would've been great friends.

And obviously, if Etho were to get shot in the stomach by an arrow and Pause were to try and get Etho away from the fighting zone, then the Boomers would help.

Impulse has already cleared the way to the place Pause gave him, and now he's running back to stall for time. TC's base is far from here and he doesn't know if they have a medkit with them. If he can, he'll get Bdubs to run to them and use his own medkit.

Another explosion sounds in the distance, and he can hear the ripping of wood and the crash of waves.

He runs out to the fighting site with his sword out, and pulls up next to Tango, who is still throwing bombs at Uma's crew.

"How many do you know are dead?"

"Threw a few at like... five people's feet? They should be dead. Uma's injured, Harry's escaped for sure, but he might come back for Uma."

Impulse hides behind a pillar, "Anything on Gaston's kid?"

"Alive."

He nods and moves towards where he knows Bdubs is hiding.

"Etho's hurt, down by the garage near the border. Get the medkit and go, please. They might not be there when you get there but atleast for some peace of mind."

Bdub's eyes snap to his, and the man nods, pulling his camouflage jacket close around him and running off.

Hopefully Etho is okay.

They get the news a week later.

Etho's alive, and on Auradon, along with the rest of the Canada team.

They want the Boomers to come to Auradon.

They want. The Boomers. To come to Auradon.

Funny.

The 'limo' is waiting outside their warehouse by morning.

They figured they'd give it a shot, but they'll probably just end up back on the Isle sooner or later, what with Tango's obsession with explosives.

The driver throws their stuff in the truck, making sure to leave all of their supplies to make bombs, and bombs themselves, behind.

Tango had hid them well, anyway. Nobody should find them, they don't even know this warehouse belongs to them anyways.

A golden bridge appears before them as the car drives out, and Impulse can't stop his desire to gawk at the sun, the water, the bridge itself.

It's beautiful. Something he doesn't see much.

They're dropped off at the 'school' as they were told, and out to meet them is Etho, Beef, and Pause. With nobody else, thankfully, other than Mal and Ben.

Wow... Auradon.

It's so pretty. He can see so many machines that he can feel himself itching to tear apart, figure out how they work.

"Hey, guys."

Impulse's eyes drift to where he knows Etho got shot.

"You're mostly healed, huh?"

"Yeppers! Almost all fixed up."

Beef crosses his arms and knocks his head towards the school, "You wanna come in or go back to the crappy Isle?"

Bdubs snorts, "Yeah. I'm good. Let's go, Boomers."

Impulse follows as Bdubs leads the trio into the school, the new home.

Auradon.

Wow.
