Work Text:
The noise from upstairs is deafening. The sound of things breaking, a bed hitting the wall, and screams; loud and agonizing from someone in pain. And Jungkook knows exactly what kind of pain it is: torture.
It's two a.m., and he's surprised that none of the neighbors have called the police or that nobody is outside the woman's door to find out what's going on. The only one who is worried is her son, who is crying in the living room with his hands over his ears, trying to block out the disturbing sound coming from his mother's room.
Jungkook climbs the stairs carefully, trying not to draw too much attention to himself. In the hallway, he sees photos of a happy family and a mother with a gentle smile. He feels sorry for them and promises himself that he will take out all the pain that the little family is feeling on the cursed demon that is trying to possess the woman.
As soon as he reaches the door, he grabs what he needs, takes the holy water from his pocket, and puts it on his wrist. Then, he seals the passage with salt and recites verses in Latin so that whatever demon is in there won't be able to get out.
The screams become more and more excruciating and Jungkook starts to worry about the woman and whether she will survive. Not overthinking and acting on impulse, like he always does, he kicks the door open and enters the room. What he sees reassures him.
It's a weak demon. He'll be through with it in a few minutes.
The woman lies on the bed, flailing and clawing at her body as she screams, and the demon hovers over her, trying to possess her, but he's too weak. A thing like him with minimal experience would have succeeded by now.
Jungkook smiles, the demon is such an idiot that he doesn't notice when he enters the room and when Jungkook climbs onto the bed behind him. This happens with new demons who try to possess a body at any cost, and Jungkook loves it even more when he exorcizes them straight to hell without them noticing how it happened.
And just as he predicted, he does the job in minutes. All he needs is the portal drawn in the ground with salt, his prayer in Latin, and sometimes his holy water. With the time he's had, experience is a great ally and jobs like this are so easy that they're done faster than he expected.
As soon as he finishes saying the words already engraved on his soul, the lines drawn on the portal light up and soon catch fire, opening the passage Jungkook needs. It's a one-way portal. No one can get out, only in. A feat that Jungkook's grandfather (one of the world's most famous demon hunters) achieved years ago (how he did it has always been a mystery). But it never really mattered once sending these plagues back to hell became infinitely easier.
The only bad part of the job is that he has to touch the demon to make it work, so he holds the creature barefoot and begins to speak the holy words in Latin. As soon as the first phrase is spoken aloud, the demon opens its eyes in panic and looks around to find out what's happening but it's too late to react. Jungkook watches with a gleam in his eye as his words mark the creature's skin like fire and when he finishes speaking, the fire coming from the salt lines of the portal gets higher and more intense, and in the blink of an eye, the demon is sucked in with an agonizing scream as its last memory. And so Jungkook manages to exorcize another demon back home.
The woman lets out a last, ragged scream and collapses on the bed. Just then he hears her son's footsteps in the hallway and he rushes into the dimly lit room, holding his mother in his arms as he cries. Jungkook checks the woman's vital signs and concludes that she's fine, just exhausted. As Jungkook is about to leave with his payment, the boy stops him to say thanks and tell him that he's an angel.
Huh, angel .
If this boy knew half the things Jungkook did, he might wonder if his place wasn't also a symbol of fire, marked on the ground with salt lines.
Exhausted, Jungkook decides that this is his last call of the day. He needs to lie in his bed and pass out for about nine hours to be able to exist normally again.
This was his third call of the day. Jungkook is so tired that when he gets on his bike he hopes it remembers the way home because even that is too much for him.
When he gets home Jungkook checks if his traps are intact. Demons love revenge. Others like to play tricks.
He sneaks around the house, taking off his clothes and leaving a piece in each room. He looks at the kitchen and even thinks about eating, but... He won't be hungry if he's asleep. He leaves it for breakfast/lunch. When he finally gets to his room, he's already down to his briefs and pulls the blanket over him. He gets under it and prepares to surrender to his subconscious.
Minutes later, or seconds, who knows, Jungkook doesn't know if it's a dream or if he really feels the blanket moving over him. He thinks about opening his eyes and checking, but if it is a demon trying to hurt him, he'd be dead by now. Or maybe it is-
"Did you have fun today?"
Jungkook takes a deep breath, squeezes his eyes shut, and wrinkles the tip of his nose.
"Seokjin."
"Hello, little human."
Jungkook doesn't need to open his eyes to know that Seokjin is smiling devilishly and that he's lying on his side, legs crossed, his head resting on one hand while he pulls at Jungkook's blanket with the other, trying to undress him and annoy him. Seokjin does this every night. And every morning. And every time Jungkook tries to sleep.
"I'm tired. Can we do this later?" Jungkook mumbles with his eyes still closed. He waits, but Seokjin doesn't answer, not even to say he won't leave him alone. And if a talking Seokjin is a problem, a silent one is even worse.
Cautiously, he opens his eyes, expecting to see Seokjin hovering over him, planning something to frighten Jungkook. Like the snakes on his bedside table last week, or the three-headed dog nearly two meters tall that growled at him in his bathroom last month.
Jungkook looks around and finds Seokjin in the corner of his room, sitting upside down on the ceiling with his eyes glowing blood red.
Jungkook isn't afraid anymore, having a poltergeist tormenting him daily can help that.
Being a respected demon hunter like Jungkook, carrying the name Jeon with all its weight, is hard and maybe it's contradictory to have a poltergeist in your house every day. Not maybe , it is contradictory, but what can Jungkook do?
The first time Seokjin appeared, almost a year ago, Jungkook exorcized him back to hell, only for him to return the next day as if nothing had happened, burning down Jungkook's sofa as he lay on it reading a newspaper. Jungkook tried three more times, but every time Seokjin came back he destroyed another room in Jungkook's house and he was already running out of money for repairs. He also realized that he wasn't just any poltergeist because he kept coming back too quickly.
Over time, Jungkook realized that Seokjin had done these things more out of spite than anything else. And without knowing how it happened, Jungkook got used to his presence. So he went from a guy who lives alone to a guy who shares a house with a poltergeist.
It's not easy and some days Jungkook would rather not go home, but Seokjin always finds a way to locate him. Jimin has already forbidden Jungkook to sleep in his apartment because in the morning they always find his kitchen ransacked and all his plates and glasses broken. Namjoon and Yoongi won't let him near their house either, not after Seokjin broke some of their precious vinyls and Yoongi hasn't looked Jungkook in the face for almost a month.
So now he has no choice but to... deal with Seokjin.
Still upside down on the ceiling, Jungkook takes a deep breath and sits up, knowing that Seokjin won't let him sleep for now.
"You stink," Seokjin says, walking across the ceiling and slowly approaching Jungkook.
"I was working."
"In a garbage dump?"
"Hunting your friends, actually," Jungkook says tiredly, throwing himself back onto the bed and closing his eyes.
"Humph, as if such people are my business. They don't deserve even a fraction of my respect if they can be sent back to hell so easily by someone like you. And to say they're my friends ? Please."
"I already sent you to hell," Jungkook remembers, and when Seokjin speaks, he's closer.
"And I always came back. You're not doing such a good job."
"I'm great."
"Are you, though?" Seokjin raises his eyebrow. "Then what am I still doing here?"
Good question. Jungkook thinks but doesn't say anything.
He opens his eyes and Seokjin's face is centimeters away from his, levitating above Jungkook. "If you throw yourself at me like last time, I'll exorcize you."
"Nah, you're too stinky for me to get too close." Seokjin wrinkles his nose and moves away, sitting on the foot of the bed.
Jungkook raises an eyebrow, finding Seokjin's behavior suspicious. "What did you do?"
"What do you mean?" Seokjin tilts his head to the side, feigning innocence. He looks too human. His eyes go completely black for a few seconds, indicating he's done something.
"What did you set on fire?" Jungkook asks, bored.
"Nothing."
"Seokjin."
"Yes?" He tilts his head in the other direction, sending a shiver down Jungkook's spine.
"What-" A meow interrupts Jungkook. "What's that?"
Seokjin doesn't answer, he smiles too broadly and too brightly for a human. His eyes turn completely black as he disappears into thin air in the blink of an eye.
Jungkook hears another meow and follows the sound to find a black kitten in the bathroom, trapped in the shower. The strange thing is that it has a blanket on the floor for him and Jungkook almost laughs as he imagines Seokjin picking out a blanket and putting it on the floor to keep the cat from getting cold.
"That monster," Seokjin says disgustedly from behind Jungkook, scaring him a little. And if he shivered when he felt the poltergeist's breath on his neck, it was only because of the fright. "tried to climb up my leg today when I possessed a guy to cross a busy avenue. If it hadn't been for that hairy pest, I wouldn't have been distracted and the guy would have..." He makes a motion with his thumb across his neck. "Dead."
"You can't do that to people, Seokjin."
"Blah, blah, anyway, I brought this thing so you could finish him off."
"What the fuck do you mean finish him off?" Jungkook turns to him with wide eyes. "I'm not going to do anything to him, he's cute. And he's a baby." Jungkook opens the box and takes the kitten on his lap. He digs his nails into his skin, making a very light mess. He hisses through the scratches and Seokjin laughs.
"See? He hurt you!"
"Because he's scared! I won't hurt him, Seokjin, you can forget it. And do you think I don't see that blanket on the floor as a bed for him?"
"He didn't shut up until he fell asleep." Seokjin rolls his eyes. "I thought you'd be more upset."
"With a baby like this? Impossible." Jungkook kisses the baby's head and he cries louder. "He's adorable."
"It shouldn't be like this."
"You like the cat, Seokjin." Jungkook deadpans.
Seokjin doesn't answer Jungkook. He's more concerned with hissing at the cat and having the cat hiss back at him than paying attention to him. It's as if they're talking and Jungkook laughs at how stupid Seokjin looks.
Seokjin lifts his eyes to Jungkook, surprised by his laughter. They're not black, as they almost always are, but a beautiful chocolate shade. Jungkook saw them only when he was more relaxed. He hasn't failed to notice that lately, he sees more and more of Seokjin's natural eyes.
Realizing that he may have let his guard down, Seokjin hisses at the cat again and then at Jungkook, saying, "You both stink." And leaves the bathroom.
Jungkook chuckles and kisses the kitten again, who seems to relax more on Jungkook's arm now that Seokjin isn't around. Jungkook puts the kitten back in the box to sleep and leaves the bathroom too.
👻
"What's his name?" Jimin asks in a baby voice.
"Cat."
"The cat's name is Cat?" Jimin asks inexpressively.
"Yes."
Jimin stares at him, then shrugs. "Makes sense."
"I know."
The cat lies on Jimin's lap, purring as it accepts the petting. "I haven't seen you in a while."
"I've been working a lot."
"I know, Taehyungie told me." Jimin kisses the cat and then looks at Jungkook. "And how's your demon pet?"
"He's n-"
"Who are you calling a demon?" Seokjin's voice comes from somewhere on the terrace. There are only Jimin and Jungkook, well, and now Seokjin, who soon appears behind Jimin, leaning down in his chair so that he can speak into his ear.
Jimin jumps on his seat, scaring Cat who jumps off his lap. Seokjin smiles demonically as Jimin looks at him as if he could send him to hell for good.
"Now this hideous thing follows you?" Jimin ignores Seokjin and turns to Jungkook.
"It wasn't until today." Jungkook looks at Seokjin surprised, but not that surprised. It frankly took him a while to start following Jungkook.
Maybe that explains why it took him twenty minutes to find his keys in the supermarket earlier.
"So, who did you call hideous?" Seokjin asks. He still hasn't moved from where he is, so Jimin does it. The cat looks at Seokjin and hisses, its black fur bristling.
Seokjin hisses back at him and Jimin looks from Seokjin to Jungkook to the cat. He seems to be looking for a logical answer to what's happening there, but he doesn't get one.
"You obviously," Jimin answers him.
Seokjin's mouth opens in a wicked smile and Jungkook holds back the urge to roll his eyes because he knows exactly what's coming next.
"You don't sound as confident as you want to when you look at me like that."
Jimin widens his eyes slightly and squeezes Cat against his body. "Jungkook." He calls out alarmed.
"This thing about you being able to handle me isn't so strong when I can do whatever I want."
"Seokjin." Jungkook warns him.
"You're not going to do anything to me," Jimin sneers, but Jungkook can see he's nervous. "You can't."
"And why not, kid? "
"Because otherwise, Jungkook won't forgive you."
"And who told you that I need his approval?" Seokjin asks, dropping his joking tone and straightening up.
He's angry. Jungkook sees him as a real poltergeist who can do anything like this. It's why he stands up and remains alert.
"Come on," Jimin laughs wickedly, knowing he's made him angry. "Who's following Jungkook here? Who doesn't stop disturbing him, who's always around and doesn't leave his house? You have a whole world to torment and yet you'd rather stay with him." Seokjin doesn't answer, he doesn't even seem to be breathing, and for a few seconds Jungkook wonders if he needs to. "You don't want to ruin his sympathy for you, right?"
"Jimin," Jungkook warns him this time.
"You don't want him to get angry because you like him." Jimin smiles as devilishly as Seokjin did before. "He even likes your weird laugh when you do something that only you find funny or make a ridiculous joke that only you laugh at."
Jungkook stops, looks at Seokjin, and sees how tense he is. His jaw is set and his hands are clenched into fists. Jungkook has probably never seen him as angry as he is now and he doesn't want to know what he can do when he's like this.
He doubts that Jimin is right and that Seokjin's reason for sticking around is because he likes him. It's probably just because he enjoys annoying a hunter and likes to know that someone of Jungkook's caliber can't exorcize him permanently or at least for more than 12 hours.
It must be something else than what Jimin said.
A slight shiver runs up Jungkook's arms as Seokjin suddenly relaxes. His hands, white at the knuckles due to the strength he has exerted, open and a dangerous, deadly smile appears on his lips. It's intimidating. No one in their right mind would go near him. Not with his eyes like that, looking like he could kill with just a thought.
Jungkook scolds himself as he realizes that the shudder isn't from fear but from something else. One that he hides every time it appears, but which grows stronger every time it breaks through Jungkook's protection.
Seokjin's eyes turn black and within seconds Jimin drops the cat on the chair he was sitting on and walks towards the ledge.
"Seokjin!" Jungkook calls worried. "Stop this shit!"
"He provoked me.
"That's no excuse for hurting him."
"It is," Seokjin replied simply.
"If you do that, I'll never talk to you again."
"I can make you talk to me."
"You can, but you know it won't be the same."
Seokjin remains silent while Jimin continues to walk towards the edge. Jungkook realizes that he might really want to hurt Jimin and tenses up again. "He made fun of my laugh!" He pouts.
Jungkook has the slight impression that it wasn't genuinely that that made him so angry.
But Jimin now has one foot on the edge. Jungkook quickly walks over to Seokjin, stops in front of him to somehow get his attention, and thinks about what to do.
"Seokjinnie," Where did that come from? "Please, let him go..." Jungkook touches his arm and, in a very bold move, reaches down until their hands are intertwined. His eyes go from black to the chocolate shade Jungkook likes.
Jimin screams in fright behind him as he realizes where he is and jumps back, running away from the ledge.
"You're crazy!" He shouts as he runs past them.
"I'm a poltergeist, kid." Seokjin reminds him, with an amused smile on his face, very different from the one he had a few minutes ago.
"Jungkook!"
"He didn't mean it, hyung." Jungkook smiles forcedly, looks at Jimin reassuringly, and then suspiciously at Seokjin. "Right?!"
"Who's hungry?" Seokjin avoids the subject, takes the cat in his arms, and pulls Jungkook by the hand towards the stairs, leaving a stunned Jimin behind.
👻
Jungkook's grandfather used to say that a good day's work is a calm day. For him, it always made a lot of sense, once a peaceful day equals a day without too many demons trying to possess humans.
But for a few days now, Jungkook hasn't known what a calm day is, almost two weeks in fact, as he's had to work overtime to help contain the wave of demons terrorizing Seoul. He's never seen anything like it, to be honest, and his tutors and former hunters have never seen so many incidents in such a short space of time that he thinks something's going on.
He's in a hotel. Several people have called the police to report hearing two men arguing and fighting until they started shouting and didn't stop. The police even went to the scene, but a quick inspection was enough for them to call Jungkook's work and claim that what happened was none of their business.
Jungkook went alone. Taehyung even offered to go with him, but Jungkook could see in his eyes (and the dark circles under them) how tired he was, so he made Taehyung go home to stay with Jimin.
As Jungkook walks to the apartment in question, he can already hear the screams, but he still finds himself thinking about Seokjin. Which, if you ask Jungkook, he has done a lot.
The thing is, Seokjin has been kind of absent.
He's in the house every night with Jungkook, tormenting him and preventing him from sleeping, but during the day, or most of the day, he disappears. And that's not so common after he basically made it clear that Jungkook is his only focus of torment for eternity.
And because of the bond he developed with Cat. Even though he denies it and promises every single day that he'll disappear with him, Jungkook was used to coming home and seeing Cat levitating through the rooms, playing with Seokjin, or teleporting from God knows where smelling of sulfur. But now Cat no longer smells of sulfur and is always sleeping peacefully in Jungkook's bed.
Jungkook noticed that Seokjin had become more... restless since that day on the terrace of Jimin's apartment. Jungkook doesn't know how, but he knows that Jimin has got under his skin. And what surprises him is that he is also disturbed by what happened. For some reason, he can't stop thinking about what Jimin said to him and if it was right. Is it possible that Seokjin likes him? Or something like that?
It would explain why Seokjin's "pranks" are lighter and less destructive. And why Jungkook has been sleeping more lately or why Seokjin sometimes takes too long or doesn't react at all to Jungkook's teasing.
Stopping himself from finding more things to connect what Jimin said with how Seokjin has been lately, Jungkook puts everything aside as he arrives at the door of apartment 306. Before entering, he performs the same ritual as always: holy water on his wrists, Latin verses to seal the passage so that nothing inside can get out and the portal drawn on the floor with salt to send the beast back to where it came from.
The man's screams grow louder, but as soon as he opens the door, the screams stop and the apartment falls into a morbid silence. A shiver runs down Jungkook's spine, something is different. It's cold, like winter, but all the windows are closed and the air conditioning is off. He sees a dim light coming from what he assumes is a bedroom and slowly walks toward it.
Still in excruciating silence, Jungkook opens the door with his heart pounding and sees the two men the hotel residents were talking about. One of them is lying in a corner of the room, motionless and seemingly not breathing, his arms are scratched and blood is running down his arms and face, but the wounds on the man's face are not as deep. His clothes are all torn, with only a few pieces remaining on his body.
The second man huddles against the ceiling. He even thinks he's floating, but his hands and feet are sticking to the wall. Because he's so high up, his head is against the ceiling, tilted sideways with no room to move, and his lifeless eyes are staring at Jungkook.
The only light in the room is from the TV. He looks around the room for the demon responsible but at first, he can't see anything.
Jungkook goes over to the body lying on the ground and checks its vital signs, only to find that it is dead. The second man carefully watches everything Jungkook does, taking aim and analyzing his every move like a chessboard.
Out of the corner of his eye, Jungkook thinks he sees a figure. The man's attention shifts, but it quickly returns to him and Jungkook soon understands what is happening: the demon is playing with him. He finds the "hunt" amusing and forgets that Jungkook is the hunter.
"Is this going to take forever? I didn't want to stay here too long". Jungkook asks bored and looks around to see where the demon is so that he can finish soon.
"Don't worry, we won't be long." A dark voice whispers behind him, but Jungkook knows a few tricks.
That's why he smiles when the demon tries to grab him, but his hand burns when it touches Jungkook's skin, the holy water on his wrist never fails. Taking advantage of the demon's sloppiness, Jungkook quickly turns around and pulls the demon by his clothes as he tries to escape. He's a bit strong, Jungkook admits, but he's been trained for all sorts of situations, including encountering a thing stronger than himself.
He takes the rest of the holy water from his pocket and pours it into the demon's eyes to make it even harder for him. The demon still tries to resist and to push Jungkook away from him with everything he's got, punches and kicks, while Jungkook dodges almost all of them, except one that catches the corner of his mouth and one on his cheek. It's going to bleed and that annoys him.
Tired of waltzing around, Jungkook grabs the demon's arms when he drops his guard while trying to wipe his burning eyes, and turns him around. His skin burns the demon's and this is another advantage he uses to push the beast into the corridor where the portal is and with his Latin verses the portal lights up in an intense fire.
The demon, understanding what's happening, despairs and tries to free himself from Jungkook's grip, but it's impossible.
"Who do you think you are? Let me go now!" The demon shouts.
"It doesn't matter who I am, what matters is that you won't hurt anyone else."
"You don't know what you're doing."
Jungkook laughs, finding it funny. "I think I do."
"You'll regret it if you send me through that portal, you'll regret it! She won't let go." The demon roars, anger bubbling through every word.
Jungkook raises an eyebrow. "She?" He laughs mockingly. "I'm not afraid of anyone, you disgusting beast. Anyone can come and I'll give them a guaranteed ticket back to the stinking hole you came from."
"You'll regret it." The demon warns, trying to open his eyes as much as possible to look at Jungkook.
"I don't think so," Jungkook says and throws the demon through the portal.
As soon as the thing's body burns up and turns to ash, Jungkook hears a thud coming from the bedroom and runs over to find the possessed man lying unconscious on the floor.
He quickly checks his vital signs and sees that he is in bad shape, but at least alive. He calls the police, who are in the lobby, and the paramedics, who quickly make their way up to the apartment.
It wasn't as easy as he would have liked, the demon took its toll, but at least now he can take a hot bath, eat something tasty while drinking his beer, and watch something.
Jungkook gives his statement and before he leaves, saying goodbye to the officers, he sees a woman on the other side of the street, among the many curious onlookers who want to know what is going on. Normally he wouldn't look twice, but she stares straight at him, so angrily that Jungkook wonders if she's going to cross the street and attack him right there. It doesn't take much to know that she's not human and she's probably the one the demon was talking about.
But before Jungkook can get to her and find out what she wants, or rather exorcize her, the woman disappears in the blink of an eye.
"Are you okay, Jungkook-ssi?" A policeman stops next to him and looks at him worriedly.
"Yeah, fine, just tired."
"Then what are you still doing here?" The policeman smiles broadly and kindly. "Go and enjoy the rest of your evening."
"I will, my bed is calling me, I can even hear it." They laugh. "Bye, Hoseok-ssi."
They say goodbye and Jungkook gets on his bike, trying to forget everything he's seen and have a peaceful night.
But that's not what happens.
Jungkook comes home as usual, gets undressed, and takes a shower. Seokjin isn't at home, Cat is lying on the bed and sleeping without even noticing Jungkook. But there's something strange.
Jungkook has been in the presence of too many demons and evil presences to know when he's being observed. He can feel eyes watching his every move and the atmosphere getting colder. On other days he might even think it's Seokjin playing with him to scare him, but Seokjin's presence isn't like this, so violent, strong, and unpleasant.
He gets dressed in his room and rummages through his dresser looking for his holy water so he can at least get a head start, cursing under his breath when he doesn't find it. He thinks hard to remember where he might have left it when he hears a noise behind him, nails hitting a glass bottle.
"Looking for this?" A female voice asks.
Jungkook turns around and it's her, the same woman who was on the other side of the street watching him. There's no way of mistaking her, with the long black hair down to her waist, the all-black clothes, the leather jacket, the white skin, and the look of pure hatred, with the addition of a sadistic smile. She holds the bottle of holy water in her hand and taps it with her big red nails, swirling the liquid around. Inwardly, Jungkook wishes she would tap a little harder so the glass would shatter and the water would spill on her.
"You shouldn't leave your things lying around."
"What do you want?" Jungkook asks, doing his best to keep the fear out of his voice.
He looks around, trying to think of something he can do. Maybe he can jump on her and break the jar, burning her skin to distract her until he can make the portal on the floor. But the salt is in the kitchen, there is nothing in the bedroom because he used everything he had to deprive Seokjin of his room to have some peace. It's all Seokjin's fault!
"Are you looking for a way out? Or a way to defeat me?" The woman smiles as sadistically as possible. "Spoiler alert, it's impossible."
"Nothing is impossible. I can send you back to the hole you came from in seconds."
Her smile falters, but it's so quick that Jungkook wonders if he's seen it right. "And how are you going to do that?" She takes slow steps toward Jungkook, walking around him as she speaks. "Make a portal out of salt? But there's nothing here, is there? Speak your childish lines in Latin? It doesn't have much effect if that's all you got." She stops in front of Jungkook, holding the bottle of holy water in his face. If only he could- "Use holy water?"
The woman breaks the bottle and against everything he's ever seen, she doesn't react. Her skin even burns, but it's so little that Jungkook knows it can't hurt.
Jungkook has only heard about this a few times. It's rare that demons like her come out of hell, and usually, they're too powerful for a hunter to handle with help. Now, a hunter alone, without anything he can use to his advantage? Impossible.
She's right.
Looks like it won't be a good day for Jungkook.
The woman holds Jungkook's neck tightly and her nails scratch his skin, almost piercing it. Jungkook feels desperation taking hold of him as he has no way out of her grip and no way to protect himself. He doesn't know what to do. He's never been in a situation like this before and no matter how much he's trained, he never expected to be so vulnerable and in the presence of such a strong being.
His eyes begin to fill with tears of pain and the woman laughs. "You are so pathetic. How could you do that when you can't even make me sweat a little? Did you think I wouldn't come after you, you weak thing?" She throws Jungkook across the room. He hits the wall where there is another dresser and falls on top of it, knocking everything over. "Aren't you even going to try?"
"Who are you?" Jungkook asks as he stands up. He tastes blood in his mouth and something runs down his nape.
"Does it matter?" The woman says mockingly. "You'll be dead in a few minutes anyway."
"You should do more than just throw me across the room if you really want to kill me."
Jungkook teases, knowing he shouldn't as the woman disappears before his eyes and within seconds is standing behind him. Each of her hands is wrapped around Jungkook's neck, ready to rip off his skin and kill him in a few minutes as she promised.
He thought he would have a little more time to provoke her and find something to defend himself with, or maybe she would want to hurt him more before killing him, but it seems that's not what she wants.
Jungkook has planned badly.
Her nails pierce his neck and just as Jungkook feels like it's his last few seconds alive, Seokjin appears at his bedroom door.
"Karina, let him go."
Karina? What the fuck is Karina and how does Seokjin know her?
Incredibly, the woman, Karina, loosens her grip on his neck, but one of her hands is still there, holding him in place, ready to kill him whenever she wants.
"Look at that," laughs Karina. "A bad penny always turns up, doesn't it?"
"Let him go," Seokjin repeats with a straight face. Jungkook looks at him through the blood that's starting to trickle down his face from somewhere on his head.
Seokjin's hands are clenched so tightly that Jungkook wonders if it's possible for him to break his own bones. He doesn't look at Jungkook for a second, his eyes are fixed on Karina.
"Why?" Karina asks, confused. "By the way, why are you here?"
"It doesn't matter, I am ordering you to let him go."
She laughs as if what Seokjin said was very funny. " Ordering? Who do you think you are to order me around?"
"Your brother, for starters." What the fuck? "And I won't say it again."
"Why are you defending this useless thing? He exorcized Seojun!"
"Who's that?" Seokjin asks dismissively, entering the room, and only then does his gaze fall on Jungkook.
"My boyfriend- It doesn't matter, this fucking hunter has to die for it, you know how it is."
"What I do know is that you'll let him go or I'll come over there and make you let him go." Seokjin threatens, and it's so intimidating that even Jungkook is afraid of what it means.
Karina resists, and the two are locked in a silent battle that only they understand, while Jungkook keeps his eyes on Seokjin, trying to read him. Cat is still on the bed, but now he is sitting up and watching the scene.
"You can't be serious."
"Do you want to test it?" Seokjin raises an eyebrow and with that, Karina releases Jungkook for good.
Jungkook doesn't need much to walk away from her, leaving the room. He goes to the kitchen to get the salt and holy water hidden in the coffee pot and his gun with the bullets bathed in the same water. When he returns, Seokjin and Karina are in the same position, but Karina seems much more nervous than before.
"So this is where you're hiding? Pretending to be in a fairy tale with a hunter? " Karina asks disgustedly.
"I'm not pretending anything, and even if I was, I don't owe you any satisfaction."
"Seokjin, this kid thinks he's a hunter!"
"I am a hunter!" Jungkook interrupted, offended.
"You look like a child, please ."
His pouting might not help him at the moment. But it makes Seokjin stare at him for a few more seconds until he looks back at his sister.
"What is this, Seokjin? Now you have humans as pets? And worse, you have a pet?" Karina points to the cat sitting quietly on the bed, now ignoring the presence of a demon, a poltergeist, and a hunter. He's so cute. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
"Karina, you have to leave," Seokjin says calmly, but it only makes the demon angrier.
"I'm not leaving without that asshole's soul."
"You're not taking him with you."
"And why not?! He insulted me, Seokjin! You've done a lot worse than taking someone's soul to hell and for a lot less."
"That's not the point."
Karina stops and looks closely at Seokjin, searching for something in his face, an answer that Jungkook is also looking for at the moment. Why is Seokjin defending him like this?
Jungkook is a good hunter, he's great even. His error and death rate are close to zero and he's always the employee of the month at work, but he still wouldn't be able to defeat Karina on his own. He would need at least three other hunters with him to contain that kind of strength.
So it's unusual that he's still alive when she wants him dead so badly, and even more so that Seokjin is standing up for him.
Jungkook doesn't know if that's worth anything in hell, nor how a poltergeist is the brother of such a powerful demon, but it does explain why he's also so strong that Jungkook's exorcisms can't even touch him, but the point is , they're brothers, wouldn't it be right for Seokjin to help her?
"Our father has been asking about you, if he finds out you're involved with a human it won't be good for you. And if he finds out that he's a hunter, it's even worse. You know very well how he feels about that disgusting type".
The mention of his father seems to make Seokjin tense, but he quickly hides it behind his confident posture and raises his eyebrows in defiance at his sister.
"He'll only find out if someone tells him," Seokjin says calmly and just as calmly walks over to her. It's obvious that even though she's a demon and her power affects everything around her, Seokjin is just as powerful as she is. The aura he emits makes everything darker. He is taller and looks down into her eyes, a frightening smile appearing. "Are you going to tell?"
She huffs, annoyed, and punches him in the chest so hard that Jungkook is sure that if she had hit him like that, he would have vaporized straight to hell.
"He exorcized my boyfriend." She emphasizes again.
"This isn't about him, it's about you dating demons who are too weak." Seokjin sneers and walks away, returning to stand in front of Jungkook, between him and his sister. "Just find someone stronger next time."
"There won't be a next time!" Karina yells and Seokjin frowns, puts both hands behind his body, and adjusts his posture.
He seems to gain a few more inches that way. He's still in his dark aura while Jungkook is having a hard time behind him, trying to control his body and his... Heart . It's very confusing for him.
"You're right, it won't. Because you're not going to go near Jungkook again, and you're never going to try to take his soul, because if you do, Karina," he pauses, seeming to know the effect his words have on Jungkook and giving him time to breathe. "You'll have to deal with me and we both know you can't take it."
Karina practically howls with rage and with one last hateful look at Jungkook, she disappears before his eyes.
Jungkook takes a deep breath as if he's been holding it since he realized he was being watched. Seokjin turns to him and the dark, threatening look on his face disappears, giving way to the light, almost playful expression Jungkook is used to.
He has so many questions, so many things he wants to know, but... There's only one thing that's truly bothering him and he doesn't know if he can go another second without asking.
"I'm going to say something really random and out of context and maybe I'll regret it in the next few seconds, but... Can I kiss you?"
Seokjin's eyes widen. Surely this is the last thing he expected from Jungkook and he can be sure that Jungkook feels the same.
"I mean, you can try," Seokjin says after the initial shock has worn off and grins. Jungkook rolls his eyes because even with a possible kiss on the table, Seokjin is unbearable.
"Shut up."
Jungkook says and makes him shut up by pulling him by the collar of his shirt and bringing their mouths together. It's the complete opposite of what he imagined a Seokjin kiss to be (and he imagined a lot of things). It's not strong and dominant, but soft, calm, even peaceful.
But Jungkook has thought about it and he wants what he can while he can, so he opens his mouth for Seokjin's tongue to meet his, and then he loses consciousness.
Maybe it's the effect of kissing a poltergeist or who knows, but Jungkook wasn't expecting it. The kiss is so good that it seems to make Jungkook float. It's only a while later that he realizes he is floating, but it's too late as his body twists too hard and he falls backward onto the floor. He groans in pain and tries to catch his breath.
"Seokjin!" He shouts, possessed by rage. "I'll exorcize you, you piece of shit!"
"If you catch me."
Seokjin appears on top of him and before Jungkook can react, he kisses him and disappears into thin air again. The only thing Jungkook hears is the sound of his outrageous laughter echoing throughout the house.
👻
The days with Seokjin are always a novelty. There are days when he tries with everything he has to annoy Jungkook and fails, other times just a look is enough to make them both try to kill each other. It's Seokjin throwing knives that never hit Jungkook, and Jungkook making failed portals in the ground with salt, threatening to exorcize Seokjin back to hell to get at least a few hours of peace.
They haven't kissed again since the first time. They haven't even mentioned it. With a lot of effort, Jungkook got Seokjin to tell him about Karina, that she really is his sister, that she is powerful, and that she is the one who was causing chaos in the city and that's why Jungkook was working so hard. He explained that the reason why he hadn't been around for a while was so that Karina wouldn't find him and somehow lead her to Jungkook.
Jungkook thought it was cute and thought about kissing Seokjin again, but that went away as soon as he called Jungkook an idiot for hunting down her boyfriend. But what can Jungkook do? He's very good at what he does and if he'd only had a little time to gather his things, he would have exorcized Karina as well.
But now Jungkook is seething with rage, he should have left at least forty minutes ago, but Seokjin won't let him, because he set Jungkook's shirt on fire, hid his trainers, threw his trousers on the roof and threw his car keys in the dead bushes that Jungkook always tries to take care of and Seokjin always kills.
"For God's sake!" Jungkook yells as Seokjin pulls his hair to get the keys out of his hand and throws them out of the window across the street. "You're impossible! Is that why you're here because you're so annoying that they kicked you out of hell?" Jungkook asks loudly, trying to grab Seokjin's arm, but he disappears before Jungkook can.
"I do my job very well." Seokjin winks at him and appears behind him.
"You're ridiculous." Jungkook turns quickly and angrily.
"Am I?"
Seokjin tries to tease, smiling crookedly, which really annoys Jungkook.
"You know, I've heard stories about poltergeists who have partners. Are you so insufferable that no one wants to be with you?"
Jungkook knows he's touched a sensitive spot because Seokjin's smile changes from amusement to a smirk, his eyes turn black and he slowly walks towards Jungkook.
Jungkook would give anything to punch him in the ribs.
"I don't know, but you would know, wouldn't you? Isn't it common for hunters to hunt in pairs? Isn't that how it works with your little friends? Are you so grumpy that none of your friends want to put up with you?
Well, touché . Seokjin has also touched a sensitive spot.
Jungkook also stops smiling. He tenses up until his jaw is set and his hands clench into fists.
Without realizing it, he starts walking towards Seokjin as well. When they're close enough that Jungkook can feel Seokjin's breath against his mouth, he clenches his jaw even tighter. His hands eager to touch rather than punch.
"You're a pain in the ass." Jungkook pushes Seokjin against the wall.
But Seokjin doesn't give in so easily, grabs Jungkook's arms, and reverses their positions, now holding Jungkook against the wall. "You're annoying."
"Your ridiculous jokes are just ridiculous, nothing else."
"Is that so? You laugh at all of them."
"Because I feel sorry for you." Jungkook feigns pity.
Seokjin squeezes his arms tighter and Jungkook's breath catches in his throat.
"Your eyes are too big."
"You're not as good a poltergeist as you think you are."
"Let's fuck."
And with that, Jungkook bursts out laughing. He laughs until he loses his breath and his eyes fill with tears. Seokjin stands there, looking at him seriously and squeezing Jungkook's arms tighter and tighter.
"I'm not going to fuck with you."
"Why? Aren't you good at sex?"
"I'm awesome," Jungkook replies a little too insulted, caught up in Seokjin's bait. "And I hunt demons, I don't fuck them."
"I'm a poltergeist, more respect."
"Same shit."
"You think?" Seokjin asks and Jungkook hums and nods. "Then why are you hard?" Seokjin puts one of his legs between Jungkook's and presses his thigh against Jungkook's cock, that- shit, he's hard. "You say you hunt demons and poltergeists, but I'm still here. What does that say about you, you're bad at what you do or you just don't want to hunt me?"
Seokjin moves his thigh, causing too much friction for Jungkook to stay still. He gasps, opens his mouth a little but then closes it and bites his tongue so that's all the sound he makes.
"Shut up," he says breathlessly and Seokjin smiles, lowering his head to meet the curve of Jungkook's neck and planting a faint kiss there.
"I don't think you want me to shut up yet."
"I want..."
"Want what?" Seokjin lifts his head, leaving a trail of wet kisses from the curve of Jungkook's neck down to his jaw and the corner of his mouth. "Hm?"
"Seokjin, just... Shut up. "
Seokjin laughs and kisses the other side of Jungkook's mouth. "Let's fuck."
Jungkook can't hold it either and laughs. He can't believe he's considering it, but as Seokjin holds Jungkook's arms with one hand with admirable strength, his other hand moves down Jungkook's body until it's on his hip and only then does he realize he's dry humping Seokjin's thigh. "Fuck- will you shut up then?"
"You can try and see."
Jungkook would like to say that he is stronger than that and that he won't have sex with a poltergeist, but... Seokjin's thigh is too good against his cock and Jungkook couldn't stop even if he wanted to. He dry humps Seokjin's thighs, his hips moving hard as Seokjin lets go of his hands. He grabs his ass and encourages Jungkook to continue, the other hand moving from his hip to his waist. Jungkook's arms circle around his shoulders and his mouth searches for Seokjin's, finding his plump lips in a strong, possessive kiss. Very different from the first.
He moans against Seokjin's mouth, surrendering to the things he feels without caring who makes him feel them.
Now that Jungkook is moaning because of Seokjin, he thinks he can admit what he didn't want to admit months ago, not even when they kissed, but... Seokjin is handsome. Too handsome for a poltergeist or anyone else he's ever seen. He's attractive and he's attracted to him. He's tried hard to deny it, even after the kiss and all the times he's thought about him, but he can't anymore.
Seokjin is stunning and Jungkook somehow loves it when he teases him, like when he raises an eyebrow or grins like a devil. He loves teasing Seokjin just as much. He loves how angry he gets, and loves knowing that he can provoke that kind of reaction in a poltergeist.
Seokjin's kisses are unlike anything Jungkook has ever experienced, they are demanding, hard but soft at the same time, it confuses him a lot and makes it harder for him.
Seokjin's grip is tight not allowing Jungkook to move an inch. Not that he would, but still.
Wanting more, Jungkook tries to move away from the wall he's pressed against and Seokjin lets him. He wants to go to the bedroom but something strange happens. His whole body tingles as if he had been through a strong heater and then a very cold air conditioner, he feels cold and hot at the same time, and every hair on his body shivers. He moans against Seokjin's mouth because they haven't stopped kissing yet, and only when Seokjin stops kissing him for a few seconds and pushes him back does Jungkook realize that he's already in his room and falls backward onto his bed.
"Did you teleport me with you?" Jungkook asks. Half scared, half horny.
"It would have taken too long to walk here."
"The door was literally at the end of the hall."
"And now you're here, so just shut up." Seokjin climbs on top of Jungkook on the bed, puts one of his legs between Jungkook's, and circles the poltergeist's hip with his leg, pulling Seokjin closer. And yes, he shuts up, because kissing Seokjin is worth doing what he wants. Sometimes.
Jungkook gasps against Seokjin's mouth every time he does something different, like biting his mouth a little harder, pulling his hair to direct Jungkook's head where he wants it, kissing Jungkook's jaw, biting his neck, sucking his skin, moving his cock against Jungkook's. Anything is enough to make Jungkook roll his eyes with pleasure.
After a few minutes, Jungkook turns Seokjin over on the bed and sits on his lap, his ass fitting perfectly against his cock even with the layers of clothing between them. He moves his hips against Seokjin's dick and moans weakly as Seokjin pulls his hair to expose his neck and sucks on his skin, leaving another hickey.
Growing impatient, Jungkook pulls Seokjin's shirt tightly off his body, almost tearing it, and then pulls his own off. Following his cue, Seokjin unzips Jungkook's trousers and slips his hand inside, over his underwear, and holds Jungkook's hard cock, massaging it. Jungkook moans loudly and Seokjin's eyes light up.
"You're hot," Seokjin says admiringly.
"I know," Jungkook winks at him and grins. Seokjin rolls his eyes and pushes Jungkook off his lap.
He stands up and Jungkook waits, looking at the almost filthy scene in front of him as Seokjin looks down at him, his trousers low on his hips and his red underwear showing. His waist is obscenely thin and curvy, his stomach flat, his chest and shoulders. Shoulders that Jungkook desperately wants to bite, kiss, and scratch.
"Take off the rest of my clothes," Seokjin says and Jungkook quickly sits down on the edge of the bed and does as he's told. He unzips his trousers and starts to take them off, but Seokjin holds his hand and stops him. "Take your time, I'm not leaving until I've fucked you."
"O-okay." Jungkook shamefully stammers.
He takes off Seokjin's trousers more calmly, letting them fall down his legs while his eyes are fixed on Seokjin's underwear. He must be some kind of a demon or poltergeist thing, whatever, to have such a big dick. Embarrassingly, Jungkook's mouth starts to salivate at the thought of what Seokjin could do to him.
Without playing games, he pulls off Seokjin's underwear and gasps as his hard cock jumps out, erect and beautiful, right in front of him to do with as he pleases. He looks up, meets Seokjin's eyes and without saying anything, puts it in his mouth. He sucks Seokjin with all the suppressed desire that explodes inside him like a fucking volcano.
Jungkook is eager to have it all as soon as possible, so he sucks, licks, and teasingly runs his tongue over the head of Seokjin's cock, smiling innocently every time the grip gets tighter. He slides Seokjin into his mouth until the head of his cock reaches the back of his throat, sucking eagerly and moaning along with Seokjin when he moans because it's so good to hear.
The grip on Jungkook's hair tightens and Seokjin throws his head back with a louder moan and a second later Jungkook feels his cum filling his mouth. He tries to swallow what he can but it's too much so he lets Seokjin cum on his face while he smiles devilishly. This makes Jungkook even harder.
To his surprise and happiness, Seokjin's cock is still hard after he cum, ready for round two.
"Get on the bed and get down on all fours for me." Seokjin orders and Jungkook obeys. He finally takes off his sticky underpants and throws them somewhere in the bedroom.
He rests his arms on the mattress and waits. After a few seconds of nothing, he looks back and sees a sight that almost makes him cum. Seokjin is just looking at him while he masturbates, as if just looking at Jungkook would be enough. And maybe it could be, it's an idea to try out later.
"Are you just going to stare? I thought it would be better than that."
"I wouldn't tease me if I were you."
"Why?" Jungkook smirks. "Are you going to do something about it?"
Seokjin doesn't answer but smirks and moves closer to Jungkook. He strokes Jungkook's hair, down his back and stops at his waist to squeeze him a little, then moves to his hips and finally reaches his ass. He strokes it a bit more until he's at his entrance and Jungkook moans and pushes harder towards Seokjin. He has to control himself not to come while Seokjin prepares him, until he can't stand it anymore and practically begs Seokjin to fuck him all at once.
"Now you're begging, huh?"
"Shut up, just fuck me already."
"I like you better when you beg."
Jungkook struggles to look at him and says, "You like me anyway." Just to tease him, but Seokjin doesn't laugh, roll his eyes or slap his ass hard to shut him up. In fact, he bends down until his back covers Jungkook's. He holds Jungkook's chin and turns until he can kiss him, seemingly on a mission to take all the breath out of his lungs and leave him powerless, so limp that Jungkook almost falls face-first onto the mattress when Seokjin lets him go.
"True."
Well, it's either that or Seokjin thrusting hard into him, but the fact is that Jungkook moans so slyly afterward, feeling his heart racing in his chest and his cock getting harder, that he's confused by all the things he's feeling at the same time.
"Fuck!"
"I wish you could see yourself now," Seokjin kisses Jungkook's shoulder and stands up again, fucking him hard and deep as Jungkook loses his strength. "So hot, Jungkook. So tight for me."
"Jin... Ah - shit, Jin!" Jungkook screams as Seokjin finds his prostate, hitting the spot with every thrust.
"That's it, so good for me, so fucking good," Seokjin groans and slaps Jungkook's ass. "Oh, God."
Jungkook laughs at how shameless and stupid Seokjin is, but his laughter turns into another sloppy moan as Seokjin grabs Jungkook's hips and pulls his body against his as he fucks him mercilessly. Jungkook is a mess of tears of pleasure, drool pouring out of his open mouth, and sobbing moans. He can't do much more, he's never been fucked like this before and it's not just because Seokjin is a poltergeist, it's because it's Seokjin.
It drives him crazy, the sex is too good. He hasn't even come yet and he can't wait to do it again.
Jungkook is almost ashamed of the way he moans, slutty but also painful. He wants to come but does not want it to be over yet. He wants everything from Seokjin, but he's afraid that's all he'll get when he needs more, so much more.
"Fuck, I won't last much longer, Jungkook." Seokjin's grip is getting tighter, sure to leave bruises.
The sound of skin against skin is obscene, the smell of sex that dominates the room makes Jungkook delirious, the moans Seokjin gives him are delicious and then- fuck, he can't take it anymore.
Jungkook comes, moaning loudly and squeezing Seokjin inside him. He closes his eyes and grips the sheets tightly as his body shakes in spasms of pleasure. He comes more and more and his orgasm isn't over yet because Seokjin keeps thrusting into him, hitting his prostate until he comes and when he does, a few seconds later, Jungkook still comes.
He feels like he died and came back, this is heaven for sure, as sinful as it is, but there's no other way to explain it. He closes his eyes so tightly that he sees bright spots in the darkness like stars, and when he comes back to reality, Seokjin is still pounding into him , hard and deep, as if he hadn't just come for the second time.
"Are you back?" Seokjin asks in an amused tone. "Ready to go again?"
Only when Jungkook moans does he realize that he's still hard. Fuck, that must be poltergeist stuff, there is no way.
But it's okay because he won't be the one to complain about it. Especially when he has Seokjin, his favorite poltergeist, fucking him so well.
The next few hours are... the best in Jungkook's life.
He's never felt like this before and after trying countless positions, making Seokjin worship him, and coming about six times, Jungkook is finally exhausted. He could easily sleep for a whole day.
He lies on the messy bed with his legs and arms open, not caring about anything but how good he feels, but all his peace is gone when Seokjin pulls him up by his feet to get him out of bed.
"No!" Jungkook whines but Seokjin ignores him and continues to pull him.
"But I want to eat!"
"Then go make your food!" Jungkook yells impatiently, "You're a poltergeist! Can't you make your food appear here? Do you have to eat at all?"
"I do, and I want to. Now get up."
"No."
"Jungkook..."
"No."
"You really..."
"No."
Jungkook closes his eyes, hoping Seokjin will give up and go to bed with him. But it's like he once said: if a talking Seokjin is a problem, a silent one is even worse.
He slowly opens his eyes and Seokjin smiles at him, thinking he's won and will get what he wants, but Jungkook just rolls his eyes and turns away. "No," He repeats and Seokjin snorts loudly, throws Jungkook's pillows on the floor, and makes some of Jungkook's clothes disappear.
"Okay then! I'll make something to eat, but don't forget that I'm from hell and I love fire!" He yells angrily and disappears.
Jungkook even thinks about ignoring him because Seokjin won't really do anything, but- well, he doesn't want to test it.
Getting up angrily, Jungkook puts on the first pair of underpants he finds in the drawer and leaves the room shouting, "Seokjin, if you set my kitchen on fire, I'll kill you!
👻
"He's judging me," Seokjin says quietly.
They're in the living room, Jungkook on Seokjin's lap as he kisses him. Cat is lying on the sofa, looking at them and maybe judging.
"No, he's not." He obviously won't agree with Seokjin.
"Yes, he is. Go on, get out of here. Hisssssssss." Seokjin hisses at the cat.
Jungkook stares at Seokjin. "I can't believe I just had sex with you." He lets go of Seokjin, gets off his lap and locks himself in his room, knowing that this won't stop Seokjin from coming in.
"Yeah, you think a lock will stop me?" Seokjin asks insulted, appearing in the corner of Jungkook's room with his arms crossed over his bare chest.
"Not a lock, but this will." Jungkook smiles mischievously and grabs a pot under the bed while Seokjin watches him with a puzzled frown.
Jungkook tries to do everything as fast as possible before Seokjin realizes what he's doing. He pulls the bed so that it is no longer propped up against the wall and makes a circle of salt around it so that Seokjin can't get in.
The poltergeist gasps in outrage and Jungkook almost fails to finish his circle to laugh at him. It's funny how his expression becomes harder, anger spilling out of his eyes as they turn completely black.
"Yah, you're a brat! Are you making a circle of salt around the bed? Jeon Jungkook!" Seokjin shouts angrily and Jungkook laughs even harder, throwing himself on the bed and trying to catch his breath.
A circle of salt may prevent Seokjin from entering, but it doesn't stop him from throwing things. First, it's a pillow, then Jungkook's clothes that he left on the floor the night before, then a shoe, then five more, and when Seokjin picks up a chair, Jungkook looks at him seriously. Seokjin frowns even more and disappears from the room. Jungkook even thinks he has left in a rage, but he soon finds out that he hasn't when he hears things breaking in his kitchen.
"Kim Seokjin, you fucking demon, I'm going to kill you!"
"I'm a poltergeist!" He shouts more angrily and the noise increases. "Have more respect for my history!"
"Stop destroying my house!"
"Then stop making salt circles!" He shouts from the kitchen.
Jungkook realizes from the noise that he has left the kitchen and gone to the living room. He hears his books and other things being thrown around the room and Jungkook should be possessed, dying of rage and reciting the Latin words to send Seokjin back to hell, even if only for one night, but he doesn't do any of that. In fact, he's sitting in the middle of the bed with a fond smile.
How could he possibly like a poltergeist?
Annoyed with Seokjin and himself, Jungkook groans and closes his eyes, rubbing them with his hands until he sees everything dark with small bright spots. He gets out of bed and makes a scratch in the salt with his foot, leaving a crack of no more than 1 cm. That's enough.
He doesn't have to say his name, or move or do anything, because within seconds Seokjin is standing in front of him. The noise of the destruction is completely over and Jungkook makes a mental note to have him clean it up the next day, even if he complains until Jungkook does it himself.
Jungkook lifts his eyes to meet Seokjin's. He crosses his arms, not wanting to show how easy it is to take him apart if Seokjin wants to, just those eyes or a smile and that's it, the damage is done.
He snorts and Seokjin grins, stepping a little closer, past the circle of broken salt.
"You'll never give me peace again, will you?"
"Never," Seokjin confirms.
Jungkook smiles and pulls him onto the bed. "Lucky me then, I guess."
