Silly Slideshow Shenanigans - Season 2

Summary:

The second season of my signature show.
It takes all the silliness and drama from the first season, all the while having bigger stories, a stronger continuity, as well as introducing new stuff such as the reveal of the series' main character and Master of Chaldea: Blitz Ripper.
Yep. Still your average FGO comic strip show.

Chapter 1: Requiem for the Neighborhood, Pt. I

Notes:

This is the first part of a three-part season premiere.
The reason Chaldea blew up here, is to justify the loss of my previous computer, and all the sprites gathered for Season 1.
So, you may call this a soft reboot of sorts...

Chapter 4: Meet the Master - Blitz Ripper

Summary:

After a season and four episodes in, Master Blitz Ripper finally makes her appearance, much in the style of "Meet the Scout".

Chapter 5: Whatever Happened to Sir Agravain

Summary:

How come we never see Sir Agravain as a Servant contracted by any Master of Chaldea? This comic featuring Robin of Locksley will explain why.

Chapter 6: Okita's saucy notebook, Pt. I

Summary:

The story arc that took half the season begins here, initially to setup with the April Fools event we had in the NA server earlier in the year.
Okita finds a mysterious notebook that depicts her in a ridiculously oversexualized fashion, ultimately leading her to question her bond with Master Blitz.

Chapter 7: Okita's saucy notebook, Pt. II

Summary:

The first bottle episode of the season, that also takes place during April Fools.

Chapter 8: Okita's saucy notebook, Pt. III

Summary:

It's the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven's turn at reading the notebook. Will its contents break her down, like Okita before her?

 

Notes:

Like in chapter 1, pictures were blurred in order for the comic to stay up in Reddit. However, credit for the work shall be put should there be a demand for it.

Chapter 9: I'm being followed by a Mooncell Shadow

Summary:

This is the beginning of a mini-arc that takes place in order to match up with the SERA.PH Grail Front event.

Chapter 10: The Lukewarm Side of the Moon

Summary:

Master Blitz Ripper does a little VLOG about her then-current status regarding the SERA.PH Grail Front, whilist dealing with the stress of her Servants' every-day drama, battling BB's team, and her overdue reports.

Chapter 11: Requiem for Operation Moonsault

Summary:

The finale to the Mooncell Grail Front trilogy, and the most action-packed episode of the season, summing up the final round battle between Blitz and BB.

 

 

 

Chapter 12: Requiem for Grand Nero Fest

Summary:

This was originally intended to take place somewhere in season 1, but all progress on it was lost after my laptop crashed. It's also (somehow) the second episode in the accidental Requiem trilogy, repurposed to match with Battle for New York 2024 (NA).

Chapter 13: Requiem for Artic Summer World

Summary:

Final episode of the Requiem trilogy. For this one, I decided to play with the fact that Artic Summer World has a news outlet of its own, which would potentially render Circe and Beardie's role as news anchors to be useless--right until I saw it has stuff written for the two of them as well. This also intrudoces some recurring plot elements, such as Blitz being love-crazy around Summer, and it sets the stage (sort of) for ServantFes 2025, where a certain evil kouhai plans to take over again. Or will she...?

Chapter 14: Okita's saucy notebook, Part IV

Summary:

And now, we switch back to the plotline that takes priority for the majority of the season. I debated whether or not I should keep the chapters separate, but I've already went with the choice of sticking to the chapters being re-released as they aired, so my hands are tied.

 

Chapter 15: What True Love Means (A Tribute to Atsuko Tanaka)

Summary:

During the season's production, news broke that legendary seiyuu Atsuko Tanaka, passed away on August 20, 2024. This slice of life story is one I have dear to my heart, since two of the characters she voiced, were actually among the first Servants I summoned when starting out in FGO's NA Server: Assassin Carmilla and the OG Caster Medea. Jing Ke would eventually come a couple of days in. The bulk of this chapter lies in the interaction between these three women, their regrets and each pondering their value to Master Blitz's team.

Chapter 16: Okita's saucy notebook, Part V

Summary:

Okita and Blitz finally get themselves acquaintanced with the Gacha Demon from another universe.

Notes:

For those wondering, the gacha demon's opening dialogue in this chapter has changed into something more metaficticious, undoing a plot hole (not blaming Blitz for the notebook) in the original release.

Chapter 17: Okita's saucy notebook, Part VI

Summary:

The Gacha Demon finally gives her non-sensical and anticipated (?) backstory.

Chapter 18: Okita's saucy notebook, Part VII

Summary:

The Gacha Demon begins her getaway. Will Blitz & Co manage to find her before things get even weirder?

Chapter 19: Okita's saucy notebook, Part VIII

Summary:

The confrontation with the Gacha Monster is escalating, and before our heroes realize, this has become a multiverse situation involving two more Chaldea Masters from another universe.

Chapter 20: Okita's saucy notebook, Part IX

Summary:

Evil Mastermind Ritsuka and Amethyst Arcueid Hikaru arrive in the scene, and the Gacha Monster gains a second wind, with a reveal that puts Blitz and Okita's bond in the balance. Is this the end??

Chapter 21: Okita's saucy notebook, Part X

Summary:

The Gacha Demon seems to have the upper hand (quite literally), and it'll take a combined effort from the three Masters to slice the notebook in two. But some complicated feelings must come to light first. Will Okita recover?

Chapter 22: Okita's saucy notebook, Part XI

Summary:

With the notebook finally split in half, the Gudakos from alternative Chaldeas must retreat and take the Gacha monster with them, not without pulling some tricks out of her sleeve...or tongue.

 

Notes:

This is the final chapter in which Evil Ritsuka and Amethyst appear in this saga, but hopefully not the last time they'll ever meet.Thanks to Purplefire18 and Amy for help!

Chapter 23: Okita's saucy notebook, Part XII (FINALE)

Summary:

With the Gacha Monster finally gone, Okita Souji and Blitz Ripper have to settle their feelings talking things through, not without shedding a lot of tears. Notes:

You probably wonder if this chapter looks different as it was first uploaded in Reddit. That's because I've been slightly altering the dialogue. due to my dissatisfaction with the previous result. So I decided to pull off a George Lucas and add new dialogue, complete with the alternative dialogue it already had.

Chapter 24: What's a couple stitches between friends, Pt. I

Summary:

Ever since their fallout at the start of the season, Jeanne Alter and Astolfo have remained incommunicated. Is this it? What was the broken gift that the Dragon Witch wanted to fix? Who was it for?

 

Notes:

This is the final comic of the season where Blitz's schoolgirl sprite being pasted over the Royal Brand suit. It was an oversight on my part, but now you won't see it anymore.

Chapter 25: What's a couple stitches between friends, Pt. II

Summary:

After one more sleepless night, Jeanne Alter is headed towards Astolfo's room, reminiscing on what little interaction he had with the former Rider of Black. On the way, she comes across Marshal Gilles de Rais, but something's odd with him lately...

 

Notes:

For those playing Ordeal Call I, you probably wonder why Saber Gilles suddenly has Bluebeard's expressions. I've been meaning to play a running gag starting with this comic, eventually culminating in the release of the chapter in question, but then my account got taken down. I haven't forgotten, though. Stay tuned for the punchline soon.

Chapter 26: What's a couple stitches between friends, Pt. III (FINALE)

Summary:

After a whole season, the rift between the Dragon Witch and the Paladin finally comes to a close. Is this also the start of a new friendship?

 

Notes:

Crazy how a reenactment of a scene from the original Tom & Jerry shorts ended up shaping one of the most recurring couples in my comics.

Chapter 27: William Shakespeare presents - THE LANCER IS DEAD (GRAND FINALE)

Summary:

We've arrived at the grand finale: A reenactment of the legendary "HEAVY IS DEAD" video, 2+ years in the making. Let's be real, nothing else could top this off to send off an already crazy season, both in magnitude and madness.

Notes:

And now, time for some fun facts nobody asked for:

The intial draft for this parody (that I wrote over a year ago) originally had Fergus as the Soldier, Medb as the Engineer, and Caster Cú as the Heavy, who all make a cameo halfway through. They were scrapped from their roles for three obvious reasons: Cú had class disadvantage over Medb, who, in turn, had moments of redemption in Grail Live and Little Big Tengu (and if you wanna count Cnoc Na Riabh in Avalon, all the power to you), much unlike Fergus, who fell from grace since Agartha. All three have been respectfully replaced by Bazett, Amor (Caren) and Cú is shown up both in Lancer and Berserker form, allowing himself to deal damage to Caren.

Oh, and Proto Cú briefly makes a cameo replacing the dead body of Stay Night's Cú, but sadly, even the game has forgotten about the poor sod.

On the same vein, Archer James Moriarty was initially in the role of the Demoman, but was also scrapped in favor of the theme of having everyone be a variant of either route in Stay Night, Prototype or Hollow Ataraxia, This allowed Bazett and Caren to show up, as well as having Caster Artoria be the Demoman, for example. Her abilties do match the class, if you remember her lessons with Merlin in Avalon.

Lastly, the video version WAS initially going to have the Alfred Hitchcock Presents intro, but that ended up scrapped. The intro itself was also going to be removed from the initial comic release, but it was already promoted as an Alfred Hitchcock parody, so my hands were tied.
