Chapter Text
Akame woken groggy confused. She notices her teammates are there, and awakens one of them. “Lobock,” she said trying to wake him with no success. “Lobock!” He jumps up screaming like a little girl, causing to wake everyone up.
“What’s going on?!”
“Where are we?!”
“Who captured us?! The Jaugers?!” To their horror, a familiar voice calls out. “Sadly, we have nothing to do with it.” Everyone jumped up and pulled out their weapons towards the opposing group.
“Kurome,” whispered Akame, wishing she met her sister again under different circumstances.
“Sister,” Kurome spatted out with venom in her voice.
“Esadeath,” Najenda said with venom.
“Traitor,” she responded with venom as well, before spotting Tatsumi. “Tatsumi!” She shouted changing her tone and personality in a heartbeat.
“Over my dead bodies,” Leone shouted going into a battle stance. Before things got worse, a booming voice called out.
“STAND DOWN!” Everyone was tensed up scanning where the voice was coming from, until two strange girls in red appeared. “STAND DOWN,” one of the girls spoke with a deep male voice without moving her lips. “Who are you?” Najenda demanded before Susanoo entered a fighting position, ready to take on the girls. “NO NEED TO CONCERN OF OUR IDENTITY, NAJENDA. LEADER OF NIGHT RAID.”
“How do you know of our identities?!” She demanded losing her composure.
“WE KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU ALL. NIGHT RAID. THE JAEUGERS. THE EMPIRE. ALL THE UNREST AND CIVIL WAR. THE SUFFERING. ALL THE DEATH.” The voice stated now having a sadistic smirk on their faces, making everyone unsettled.
Mine, without thinking, shoots her Pumpkin at the girls, with no success. “FOOLISH GIRL, DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN DESTROY US?” Shocked Mine shouted, “What the fuck are you freaks?!”
Ignoring her comment, the voice spoke out. “WE HAVE TRAVELED THROUGH AN OCEAN OF STARS. WE HAVE NO ORGINS. NO HOME. WE ARE INFINITE. WE HAVE TRAVELED THROUGH COUNTLESS WORLD; HOWEVER, YOURS HAVE CAUGHT OUR INTEREST.”
“But why?” Akame questioned.
“YOUR WORLD IS SIMILAR TO ONE IN PARTICULAR, A WORLD BEYOND REPAIRED. WE WANT TO SHARE THEIR STORY. A STORY OF A BROKEN WORLD. OF A FALSE HERO. OF AN UNCARING GOD.” They showed a projection of a man with a red dragon.
“Holy shit! Is that a fucking dragon!” Wave shouted.
Everyone was intrigued by the story that was about to be told. “WE INTRODUCE TO YOU, THE WORLD OF MIDARD. THE WORLD OF DRAKENGARD.”

Chapter Text
The scene opens with texts appearing on the screen. The background zooms out, revealing an insignia with two faces merging and sharing a single eye.
“The unsuppressed soul lets flow oceans of blood.”
“So, basically, what is this Midgard all about,” stated Seeryu, petting her dog Koro. “But, what are they referring to, the ‘unsuppressed soul’ that lets oceans of blood run aflow?” Asked Akame.
“I have a bad feeling it's our ‘hero’ in this story,” said Wave. Tatsumi nodded in agreement. “And what’s with the weird symbol with the merged faces? What’s that about?” Asked Leone.
“You’ll find out, Leone of Night Raid,” one of the red girls stated.
“The Watchers drink and raise high the basin of fire.”
“Okay, none of this makes a lick of sense,” Lubbock asked plainly.
“Mighty generals hesitate beneath a crimson sky.”
“As the tears of a goddess flow, four lost temples forebode the coming of the queen.”
“Okay?” said everyone confused. What queen are they referring to? Just what kind of world is Midgard?
“The dragon plummets from the tower of red thunder, and where it falls no-one has seen.” While the final text appeared, the insignia then submerged into flames, with the text then bleeding away. The fire then dances around, with an entity appearing, along with another, made out of water—the two dance around one another before a woman's face appears.
“Woah, are those her teigus?” Chelsea asked, awestruck by how pretty her teigus were.
The scene then transitions to the sky, where the red dragon is flying around with her human companion. Later, it transitions to a man with a tiny fairy flying around him, then to a small boy holding his hands together like in a prayer.
“Poor kid, thrown into this whole mess. What a shame,” Kurome whispered sadly, seeing herself in this kid’s eyes.
Suddenly, the ground shook, and a colossal stone statue appeared. It grabbed a handful of soldiers and threw them into the sky, where the red dragon is flying.
“Holy shit! At least the kid is safe with this thing protecting him!” Shouted Lubbock. “The kid has one hell of a teigu that’s for sure.”
The scene then transition with the sky now red with the red dragon and her companion flying before diving down to a fortress below. The dragon processed to crash down and mow down soliders while crash landing. The ‘hero’ jumps off and begans assaulting the soldiers with ease and dexerity. He was mowing soldiers left and right without breaking a single sweat.
“*whistles* Got to give it to him. He knows how to fight and kill,” Esdeath commented, rarely giving compliments.
He looks back to see the dragon jumped and surrounded by a handful of soldiers with little success. He rushes towards the dragon before stopping and swinging his sword with such force that it sent a shockwaves, slicing many soldiers.
“Holy shit, man,” Wave said, amazed and intimated by the man’s insane strength. Everyone began internally commenting on his skills, wishing having him in their organization. Little did they know how fucked up this so ‘hero’ is.
The scene then zooms to his face smiling sadistically.
His creepy smile put everyone off as he was enjoying committing mass slaughter.
The movie ends with the dragon roaring furiously, breathing out fire that burns the soldiers to a crisp, before the screaming of agony ceases.
Everyone was silent processing everything that transpired. Something tells them that this story will go south really fast.
Chapter Text
“It is ancient, and dragons still roam upon the earth. Two great powers, the Union and the Empire, wage fierce war for the control of a goddess who protects the harmony of the world. In only a short time, the Empire has become powerful beyond reckoning, and now it turns to attack the castle where the Union safeguards the goddess. The world teeters on the brink of chaos. Its fate now lies in the hands of one man,” an old narrator can be heard.
“Wait, so dragons used to exist before?” Asked Tatsumi intrigued. The two entities only gave him cold silence; however, little did Tatsumi know the entities knew what would become of him.
“Why are the bad guys always called the Empire?” Mime groaned in annoyance.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Wave asked, offended.
“Oh, you know what she means,” Chelsea bluntly stated the facts.
The scene opens with the interior of a dark, cold chamber within a castle. It then pans to a woman sitting at a desk, praying with an open book in front of her. Suddenly, the book's pages begin turning like crazy, which catches the woman's attention. She stands up and looks out with a grim expression. “It begins.” These are the only words she utters.
“Jesus, she does not look happy,” said Leone, “not one bit.”
It cuts to the outside when two swords collide. The scene pans out to reveal the main hero, who cuts down one of the Empire's soldiers. It then zooms out to reveal the castle surrounded by soldiers massacring each other.
“Fucking hell,” muttered Bulat. “Talk about a blood bath.”
It cuts back to the main hero cutting down Empire soldiers with ease. He then clashes his sword with an Empire soldier, who tries his best to deflect his attack but is killed. What’s strange about the Empire soldiers are their crimson-red eyes.
“What the hell is up with their eyes?” Lubbock asked.
Akame and her sister speculated on what was wrong with them. “They’re being controlled or drugged,” Kurome uttered. The rest looked at her. “What makes you say that?” Wave asked. Kurome said nothing, keeping her thoughts to herself.
The hero quickly turned around, blocked an oncoming attack on time, and promptly eliminated the soldier. While the hero is reveling in his murder spree, another soldier snuck up and slashes deeply on his back. Blood spilled everywhere. The hero screamed in pain but quickly killed the soldier with ease before the pain kicked in. He stumbled with his sword, the pain getting to him badly, and he lost blood. He looks at the castle and is horrified at the sight; the Empire managed to infiltrate the palace. “Furiae,” he said in fear before dashing it to the castle, completely ignoring the pain souring through his body.
Susanoo whistles, impressed by this man’s vigor. “This man is a warrior, through and through.” Everyone was impressed by how the man handled himself against a handful of these Empire soldiers despite being heavily wounded. What would the Jaugers and Night Raid give to have someone like him on their team? However, little did they know how seriously fucked the man is.
The hero dashes through the battlefield while mowing down Empire soldiers. “Lord Caim! The Empire has surrounded the castle!” Shouted one of the Union soldiers. The hero, now Caim, continued to the castle while cutting his way through.
“Show no mercy! Attack!” He shouted while slashing, cutting, and sending shockwaves towards his enemies. He then shoots out fireballs from his hands, incendiary the Empire.
“Wait?! He can shoot fireballs from his hands as well?!” Bols said with awe, respecting someone who’s into arsenic as well.
“Your sister—I mean, the goddess Furiae—is in the castle,” shouted the same Union soldier. Lord Inuart is with the goddess!” He ranked past the bridge, desperately reaching the fortress, his patience thinned. Empire rats! You shall feed the ravens!” He snarled with fury as he sliced an enemy clean in half. Suddenly, he got trampled by a cavalry, which angered him even more. “ARRRGGHH!” He shouted, charging at the cavalry, thrusting his sword into the horse’s skull, killing it instantly, sending the soldier flying and breaking his neck on impact.
“Goddamn, man!” Tatsumi shouted. “No need to take it out on a poor horse!”
“Tatsumi,” Leone teased, “didn’t take you as an animal lover.”
“I help raised animals back in my village, so forgive me for being sensitive.”
Kurome can’t help but feel some kind of kindred connection with Caim. The amount of anger, pain, and especially bloodlust within themselves. ‘ At least he’s doing it for his sister's sake; I would have done the same.’
When he finally reached the gate, he was guarded by two large soldiers wearing heavy armor and wielding large swords. This didn’t matter to Caim, as he made quick work of them.
“Holy hell, nothing can stop this man,” said Wave, inspired by Caim’s vigor and bravery.
“The Empire soldiers have caught a dragon in the castle bailey.” Caim was about to go through the gate when a voice spoke out. “Your human castles are all built on sand,” a deep feminine voice mocked. He rushes through the gate, fearing for worse. " Protect her, protect Furiae.”
He rushed quickly to the courtyard, panting and breathless when his eyes feasted on something that made his blood boil. Lying ahead was a dying red dragon. Its body was riddled with arrows and spears, chained down to the ground with a message written in its blood. ‘ Resisters shall lay in hell.’ Caim strolled towards the dragon with hatred and murder in his eyes, flashbacks to when his parents were killed by a black dragon with red eyes. The dragon stared back, its golden eyes staring into his soul, growling dangerously when Caim approached it.
“Huh,” said Dr. Stylish, “what are the chances that the black dragon also had red eyes?”
“The fuck are you on about?”
“Girl,” he replied, which angered Mine. Those ‘Empire Soldiers’ were sporting red eyes. What say that dragon in particular was in league with the Empire?”
“Or, hear me out, it's just some random dragon that happened to have red eyes,” Lubbock rebutted with annoyance.
Once he came face to face with the dragon, his face twisted into an angry snarl. He raised his sword with a yell, preparing to kill the dragon.
“Kill me if you desire,” the dragon said, raising her head and facing Caim. But you can never dirty my soul, wretched human,” she finished with pride, not afraid of dying.
“So, the dragon is not afraid to insult him while at his mercy,” Esdeath comments. “Brave.”
“Pride,” Najenda interjected while staring daggers at her.
Caim paused before coming up with a desperate plan. “Tell me. Do you still want to live, dragon?” The dragon raised its head higher from confusion. “What?”
“A pact!” He snarled. “There’s no other way.”
The dragon scoffed at Caim’s plea. “Hmph. What makes you worthy of a pact with me?” She finished in defiance.
“Worthy or not, I wish to live!” He explained, blood dripping from his back from his nasty gash. “Despise me if you will, but I shall not die!”
“YOUR ANSWER! A PACT OR DEATH?!” He shouted out with determination and vigor.
“He willing to make a deal with the devil out of vengeance,” Kurome whispered. She felt some connection with him. The two lost so much with no support from anyone. All they could do was murder to ease their pain. Akame couldn’t help but pity her sister. She left her, and all she had left was murder in her mind.
“Or maybe it's the dragon making a deal with the devil,” Chelsea stated.
Suddenly, Empire Soldiers arrived and interrupted their deal. This infuriated Caim, rushing to slaughter every last one of them. If he were going to die, then he would drag every last one of them to hell. “You interrupt us! Go back to hell, hyenas!” He slaughtered them with no passion no mercy, but was plagued with the issue at hand. “A pact? With that which killed my parents?” He said with despair in his voice before anger took over again. Continuing his relentless murder rampage. His murderous ecstasy is on an all-time high. “Come now. Taste the steel of my sword!” He said venomously. The feeling of his sword slicing through his enemies, blood spilling, the look and smell of it got to him. “Dragon, do you feel it?” He said with madness glee, “The joys of BLOODLETTING!” He shouted with a sadistic smile on his face as he cut the last soldier clean in half.
Everyone was silent throughout the rampage. How he killed and how much enjoyment he got from it which unnerved some of them. Which says a lot for a group of psychopaths.
“The Capital would never see the end of it if someone like him existed,” said Seryu, dreading the fact of Caim existing in the Capital. Slaughtering her companions and the Capital guards which made her blood go cold.
“This guy is too unstable,” said Wave, horrified on the mere concept of Caim.
“He’s not doing this out of the goodness of his heart, nor vengeance,” stated Chelsea before Kurome beat her to the punch.
“He’s doing it to justify murdering and fulfill his murderous tendencies.” She knew it better than anyone. She can see herself in Caim’s shoes; however, to what extent can she see herself before crossing the line?
“He’s no hero,” uttered Tasumi. “He’s a killer, just like all the others.”
The dragon can’t help but feel impressed by the man’s drive. Maybe. Just maybe. “Still alive? You’re blessed by the devil’s luck. A pact with you….”
Once Caim finished his rampage, he weakly walks back to the dragon the blood lost getting to him, breathing heavily. “Now. Your answer.”
“A pact? Or death?” The dragon pandered. “We are united by our need to live.”
“Well?” Caim asked impatiently.
The dragon growled. “Yes. A pact.” Caim hesitantly layed his hand on his chest before digging into himself, screaming in pain.
“JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!” Shouted Mine in horror. Everyone else was also horrified at seeing him taking his soul out. Some couldn’t stomach it and began vomiting.
The dragon also began taking its soul out, wiggling in pain. In no time, Caim pulled out his soul in the shape of a glowing sphere, with the dragon following suit out of her mouth. The two spheres touched before glowing brightly. Caim felt tranquility, and his wounds healed completely. The dragon struggled before breaking the chains off of her. She spread her wings, growling loudly before roaring to the heavens with Caim, now on its back, with termination on his face before the dragon took off to the skies.
