Reaching for stars

Summary:

History is written by the victors, but sometimes a story is written for the losers

Notes:

Fair warning this is my first ever written story and I am dyslexic also if I mischaracterize any character, please let me know and I will do my best to fix it

I always disliked how most media relating to Transformers they always painted the autobots as good guys and the decepticons as bad guys, but from my perspective, I'm kind of on the Decepticon side( not for wiping out humans) And I felt that there weren't too many stories from the decepticon side and I've always liked things that can fly

The first couple chapters of this story will mainly focus about my Ocs

Diversion- Flight frames

The different frame types

Classified as a warframe:

  •  fighter jet (seekers)
  •  Attack helicopter
  • Transport planes
  • Bombers

Non warframes:

  • Space shuttle
  • Cargo aircraft
  • Glider plane
  • Helicopters

Encompasses language

Many cybertronians that possess the ability to fly; also possess the ability to move their wings independently of their back. With that information many of the frames possessing flight use their wings and body as a way of communication along with vocal responses that can be equal to chirping. There is also another form of communication that is mainly only used with those(seekers)who possess the ability to trine bond. It's similar to comms, but no one outside of the trine is able to decipher the contents of any conversation or message being sent through.

Family (And interactions)

       Family/familiar roles

  • Carrier (mother/the one who incubates)
  • Sire(s)(father)
  • Grand-carrier and grand-sire(s)
  • Creators=Parents
  • seekerling(sparkling;what baby seekers are called)
  • Trine mates (will elaborate in Trine part)
  • Guardian

A carrier is the cybertronian that possesses the ability to create another spark(s) (Like a pregnancy). Depending on the firm type determines the number of sparks they are able to create. For example, Seekers tend to be able to create 3 sparks but if circumstances are not to the ideal, the strongest spark will consume the other 2 or the other one, resulting in either 1 or 2 sparklings being fully formed. Although rare, even seekers have the possibility of losing all 3 newly created sparks, resulting in what's called a miscarriage.

A sire(s) can be a cybertronian that possesses the ability to spark (The ability to get someone pregnant) another. Moreover, (depending on the trine dynamic determines if the sires are a part of the trine or outside of it) seekerlings tend to have more than one sire; If the other one has not either abandoned or been killed off. On rare occasions, if a sire happens to not be a part of the trine or a seeker, then the cybertronian is usually accepted into the trine for the time being or permanently.

The Grand-carrier and grand-sire(s) are the creators of the seekerlings carrier and sires. It's natural for a seekerling to not interact or meet their grand creators until they are at least 5 Ano-cycle old ( I used this term solely because it's the only one that describes a cybertronian year and also does not share any other form of time or units of measurement that I have found.

Creators are a term used to describe the mechanoids that took part in creating a new spark or sparks. However, a sparkling can still refer to a mecha that is not the creator as either their carrier, sire or guardian (A cybertronian that is not the creator but has taken the role of raising the sparkling when both creators were not able to).

Sparklings( I'm gonna mainly focus on seekers) are   newly created mechanoids. When a spark forms next to an already existing cybertronian spark, that is what is called a sparkling or new spark. For seekers, it's common for there to be 3 newly created sparks. Seekerling don't tend to online their optics until they are about 15 cycles after exiting their carrier and they don't have any coloration( aside from being silver, gray and black) until a cyber-week, and even then their colorations are very faded and won't fully come in until they upgrade unto their final(Adult) frame, then by that time they can either choose to keep the coloring they originally have or they could choose to get a paint job and change it. Most seekers tend to keep their colorations, but depending on circumstances, they might be inclined to change it to better suit them and increase the chance of survival.

A guardian is a cybertronian that is not the creator of a sparkling but still is entrusted with the well-being and growth of them. Unlike ground frames, flight frames or at least seekers have a tendency to help raise seekerling that are not their own whether the creators are able to take care of them or not; most seekers see helping raise a seekerling as something commonly done and it's thought of helping increase the likeability of their (as a species [Frame type]) survival.

Values- Flight frames in general have a set of principles that they trust and believe in. They are as followed: 1. A flight frame, no matter if they are a warframe or not, should not ever disclose anything in relation to the vossiean language and/or how to decipher it or speak it. 2.Remember that a grounderers processor works differently than a flight frames, even if they are a warframe, some actions made by flight frames could be considered inappropriate or other taboos by grounderers. 3. It is better to escape with your life and live to fight again than to die in meaningless death. 4. Remember the trials and struggles the ancestors went through to be able to place you as high as you are now.

( I'm going to mainly focus on seekers

Beliefs- Considering the fact that seekers are both warframes and a historically, warrior species, the majority of their beliefs are centered around the survival of their species, combat weather that be sparring, fighting or war, intelligence and evolution for the better. It is very rare to see a seeker outside of vos and the reasoning for majority of the seeker population staying within the territories of vos is because seekers believe that it would be harder to defend or fight back against opposing forces if majority of their species was scattered, Seekers are typically governed/ruled over by the windlord or SL(Skylord) Normally this position is fought for by trineleaders who believe that they possess the ability to ensure the survival of their species rather than the current leader. There is also a council that helps with decision-making, the council is normally made up of older seekers who have managed to stay alive. Seekers believe that it is essential for them all to learn how to fight or at least defend themselves at a young age, most seekerling tend to start sparring with either their Littermates(siblings) or creators when they reach are a deciborn. Seekers also value intelligence (Sometimes over raw strength) and believe that as long as you are smart enough and can evaluate your opponent quickly. You have a much higher chance of survival than just being strong. It is also quite common and almost expected to run away from a fight/flea if you believe you cannot defeat your opponent. It is not seen as cowardly or anything of the sort, it is better that you run away and re-evaluate your opponent and look for more weaknesses to exploit than to die having not tried harder. For seekers evolution/evolving their frame types to better suit their current predicaments. Are a rare but not frowned upon concept and will only happen when both the council and windlord decide that their current frame types do not meet the criteria for their survival.

Tradition- Once a seekerling is of 12 Ano-cycle they are permitted to attend social school that usually are mixed(have both flight and ground frames)then when they reach 21 Ano-cycle they are kicked out of the home and expected to find a way of Living on their own, but they can still ask for help if they are in dire need of it.

After a baby seeker is born normally the Carrier and one of the sires stay within the home to care and raise for them in early development and the other sire is expected to bear the financial struggles.

Every decivorn there's a celebration/ritual that every seeker partakes in it can either be by oneself or with a large group, but it is basically a way to honor those who have died/fallen in battle and their ancestors.

Art- Seekers tend to not create or express any art (drawings and paintings) unless it is for a memorial or to paint an image for a story or on rare occasions to mark an event that they believe is important to their history. But It's normally for a special occasion. Seekers tend to place ornate jewelry on themselves with shiny or sparkly materials/minerals in a way that when they fly during the day or nighttime sparkles.

Music- Seekers don't really express themselves through music like humans would but during battle. Or at the beginning of battle, seekers tend to rev their engines and it kind of sounds like a swim of bees and they consider that to be music.

Social habits- ( Includes trine bonds) ( I kind of envisioned seekers to be birds. This mainly has relation to their wings/grooming or printing each other. And if you've ever owned a bird, you're not supposed to pet them beyond their head and neck)

Trine bonds: On the outside it and from the perspective of mainly grounderers, a trine bond is essentially a military unit of 3 flyers. But on the perspective of seekers specifically, a trine bond can be made up and formed for many different reasons. Normally, the basic reason for a trine to be formed is to create a new family unit(reproduction) and it can be made up of both femmes and mechs(interchangeable). Another reason could be a litter that wanted to stay together (siblings that didn't want to be separated normally happens during times of war when great loss has occurred.). Normally trains are formed out of compassion and likeness for the others, but on some unfortunate but rare occasions, a trine can form out of basic survival (normally happens within slavery)

When seekerlings are born/very young they normally spend most of their time inside of their carriers and Sires cockpits.

Bathing is normally done with the entire trine(including offspring if there's any) because it can be hard to reach some places on their back because of their wings and it also counts as bonding time.

Like bathing, recharge is also done together. If there are seekerlings, then they sleep in a nest which is circular and the sparklings Are in the middle surrounded by their creators. If there are no offspring, then either the youngest or the trinleader -depending on the trying dynamic-recharge in the middle while the other 2 are on their sides, they recharge while on their stomachs with their wings angled so it covers them all.

When on an outing, the entire trine moves as a unit normally with the trine leader in the front almost like a V.
