Chapter 2

Summary:

First actual chapter!!! Ends with cliff hangers btw definitely didn’t just cut it off since i randomly got tons of motivation and decided to start win or lose one shots that I also have to finish.

Notes:

I’ve had the first like 5 paragraphs in my drafts for like almost a month and I randomly got a boost of motivation so it might be weird.

She can’t believe this shit. First these incompetent adults almost get her killed from a dog bite, then they make her do everything, and now they’ve gotten her kidnapped!

This man carver was his name or something made her o with Sarah to make sure she didn’t do anything funny.

“Ok I’m done and thanks for coming with me Clem” Sarah said finally finishing.

“Uh huh now let’s get back before Kenny or someone else does anything stupid” Clementine responds.

She didn’t really like Sarah but it would be rude to say anything or it or how useless she actually is. Her dad Carlos has basically doomed her from the start. Like sheltering a kid in the apocalypse is not a good idea, for being a doctor he’s a huge idiot.

*fast forward to 1 week later because basically nothing changes*

She’s not even going to lie and say she doesn’t but Clem feels much safer here then really any other group she’s been with. Like how she used to feel with him… sure carver is strict but if you obey and to what you’re told you will be just fine.

Like seriously though all the other places she’s been hadn’t been as secure as this place was. With Christa and Omid they roamed around in the wilderness or wherever they could stay which is a gamble. Back in the cabin at least she had somewhere to stay but the other people were so incompetent it was hard to believe they survived this long.

Every day now is like a cycle, wake up, do what carver asks, eat, and sleep. She likes it this way, it’s much better than not having anything to do. He is very morally questionable though, she just has to stay on his good side.

Everyone has reacted a bit differently than her though. Kenny had lashed out multiple times, he’d even took the walkie from her and got beat for it. Nick and Luke after being captured had followed the rest of their orders. Rebecca had been lashing out too but carver didn’t do anything physical to her since of his(?) baby inside of her. Sarah had been well…. Sarah. Nobody has seen Alvin, we decided he died few days ago. And Carlos had also been following orders.

After finishing her work for the day she went to go to bed until Bonny had stoped her.

“Bill wants you in his office.” She said a bit nervous.

“For what?” Clem questioned.

“I don’t really know just stay safe.” Bonny responded

Clementine started making her way to Carver’s office. She had been a bit nervous but she couldn’t let that show.

“Come in honey” Carver said

Clem took a seat in Carver’s office before Carver began to rant.

“Did you know in this world there are three different types of people. You have the shepherds, the people meant for leading. The sheep meant for following. And the fools, the people who lead as sheep, people who think they’re invincible.”

Clementine is silent letting Carver continue his rant.

“Most of the people in here are sheep, some are fools, few are shepherds. Where do you think you fit in Clementine?”

“Uhh” Clem had no fucking idea how to even answer that, if she said she was a shepherd Carver would get mad. If she said she was a fool that would end even worse. Sheep, sheep was her safest bet. But why would he call her in here to just tell her she’s a follower.

“Let’s change the subject, your friends. Most sheep rest of them are fools can you tell which one.”

She knew this, even though he was always there for her he had to just had to of been talking about Kenny.

“Kenny.” Clementine insisted.

“Correct. I know I can be a harsh leader but let’s think of it how long have you been with him?” Carver asked

“About maybe a year in total.” Clementine was pretty unsure since she thinks it was a year back with… him. But other than that probably a good two weeks.

“You said he was in your group when this all first happened, tell me was he the only one in charge.”

“Well no, there was… Lee and Lily.” She didn’t want to say his name, every time she said it she remembers shooting him in the face.

(After some time explaining what happened to the s1 group to carver bc it’s 12 am and I’m not writing a whole summary on twig s1)

“Do you think if Kenny didn’t take a leadership role maybe Lee could have survived?” Carver had asked.

“W-what?” That throw Clem off guard.

“It was him who pushed and pushed to go to Savanna. If maybe you had just found a different hideout and stayed he would have still been here.”

Wait, he had a point. This was Kenny’s fault, he wanted savanna. Him, not Lee not Christa. Of course she wanted it too but Kenny would have killed someone to get there…. It was his fault.

Notes:

If you can’t tell I ended when Clem gets called into carver’s office.
