“Argh! Drop down and get me booty.”
All the pirates on the ship turn around to see a five-year-old girl with brown hair and a blue and gold pirate outfit with a SWORD in her hand. Everyone's eyes widened seeing the young child with a sword as they quickly moved out of the way as she was swinging it so recklessly.
“Um… Captain!” Gil gulps moving out of the way of the girl's grasp.
Uma rolls her eyes looking at Gil, “What now?.... KAILANI PUT THAT DOWN!” Uma yells rushing towards her daughter who quickly drops the sword and runs away. Uma uses her shadow figure to quickly trip Kailani's shadow and hold her before she can fall. Her father showed her how to do it. “Now little girl, what made you think it was a good idea to play around with a sword?”
“But you do it too!” Kailani whines before bussing out into tears and having a full tantrum. Uma looked at her daughter unfazed knowing this was probably one of the tricks she learned from her father or Harry.
Uma wipes the fake tears, she is impressed that her kid can probably be an actor. “Ah, Ah, no fake crying around me.” Kailani stops crying knowing it did NOT work. “If you keep on crying, I’m leaving you with grandma.” Her eyes lit up, “MeMaw and Pop Pop,” She finished seeing Kailani's eyes turn from hope to fear. Uma smiles knowing her mom will have her granddaughter do homework at the register and her dad will try to teach her how to scam people.
“Mommy, I want to help you decorate, " Kai said, giving her puppy dog eyes that resembled her father's. “Please don’t make me go to MeMaw and Pop Pop.” She begs.
“I know baby girl but you have to behave okay?” Uma watches as her little girl pouts before agreeing.
When Uma got the call from Fairy Godmother to become Principal of Auradon Prep she debated about accepting the offer. Her schedule is so busy already being the Queen of the Isle and a mother/wife. Thinking about it, she agreed to be the new Principal of Auradon Prep. She can handle cutthroat pirates and the people of Auradon. She can handle a bunch of kids.
“This is nice,” Uma walks around Auradon Prep and her new office seeing how big it is. After talking to the fairy godmother and sending the letter straight to Wonderland she’s left alone with this big space. She hears a knock at her door, looks at her library, and turns to see her husband walking in with flowers and food. “I told you I was going to meet you at home,”
“I know but I wanted to see you, and maybe I got in trouble and they sent me to the principal's office.” Uma laughs hearing Ben's corny excuse as she moves closer kissing him. He smiles against her lips as they break apart. “I miss you,”
“I know,” Uma moved away walking towards her new desk, she already had her pirates put pictures on the wall. Ben looks at them, he sees photos of Freddie, Celia, her parents, Harry, Gil, and her pirate crew, Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos. Ben looks around and sees photos of their friends as he moves closer to Uma's desk, he sees their wedding photo, a cute photo of them playing with Kailani, and a baby photo of her as well.
The story of Uma and Ben's love story is a unique but magical one, it was one look that captured Ben's attention, her words that made him want to know her more, and how she was passionate about making changes. For Uma, he was unlike any guy she ever met, Ben could show her the world she always wanted to explore and she would tell him how to lead it. It was like they were soulmates. Still, things weren’t love at first sight, as Uma was hellbent on revenge they couldn’t see eye to eye. She’s gotten closer to Ben thanks to Audrey trying to take over the world that’s led to them finally getting together.
They have ruled Auradon and the Isle together, The policies in Auradon are a lot different from the Isle but they manage as this was new to Uma. There were nights when Uma made Ben forget he’s the King and just a human making him relax from all the meetings in the world. There were days that Ben showed Uma something new, starting her new obsession with hobbies or food. She loves crocheting, she makes hats, cute outfits, and stuffed animals for Kailani when she has free time. The only thing that gives her peace with all the Kings and Queens in the world. Crocheting led to them convincing Kailani that Uma was wearing a summer outfit for the beach and they matched each other freak.
“I talked to FG, and she agreed and sent the letter to Wonderland,” Uma said as Ben kept staring at Uma.
Ben's mouth opens wide in excitement as he hugs his wife. “Uma, that’s amazing. I tried to get Wonderland to open up so many times but no contact still. Even the council starts giving up on working with them.”
“Well, you have to remember that you might be the King of Auradon, but I am the Queen here, and I make sure I get what I want.” Uma pokes his chest. “That even included you when I was seventeen.” She smirks as a finger trails along his face. She missed his beard, but she knew he had to shave it off because the public loved his baby face.
“Who knew that one conversation would lead to someone as magical as this?” Ben said as Uma moved him closer to her as he placed her near the edge of her desk. They both know what’s about to happen next, as Uma can see the look in his eye.
Uma leans forward to kiss him but stops as they hear a knock at the door. “MOMMY! UNCLE HARRY KIDNAPPING ME!”
Ben rubbed his temple hearing his daughter's voice, as much as he missed her, he really wished she hadn’t interrupted their moment. Kailani Belladonna Florian, the crown princess of Auradon, is set to rule the kingdom at the age of sixteen like her father. She won’t officially rule until she is eighteen but she can shadow her father and make proclamations. If they agreed to it. Ben walks over to the door and sees Harry holding Kailani like a dog on a leash. As Ben walks over to pick up Lani he notices the handcuffs.
“Why in Zeus my daughter tied up?” Uma asks, turning her head to see what’s unfolding.
Harry nervously chuckles, “Well, Uma… The little runt might’ve drew on thee wall…”
“Lani… is this true?” Uma walks over to her daughter in Ben's arms with a scary look on her face. A face they all knew too well, for Harry he was quick to disappear while Ben, he’s trapped because he’s holding the child. Kailani tucks her head down avoiding eye contact.
Ben, going into dad mode, places Lani's head down, moving her away from Uma. “Uma.” Ben looked Uma in the eyes to go easy on their daughter, but Uma didn’t back down until she could see the tears running down her face. She hates seeing her daughter cry.
“Ugh fine but you’re cleaning them off later. I can’t have the parents thinking I’m unfit when I start.” Uma rolls her eyes before placing a kiss on Lani's head. “Come on baby, let’s go home.”
“Yes, let’s go. I got the chefs to cook some Gumbo for your long-awaited return.” Ben smiles as moves Kailani to his other side holding Uma's hands. “Queen Uma you ready?” He says kissing her hand.
Uma purses her lips into a smirk, “It’s Principal Uma to you,” They walk out of the principal office locking it up heading to the Limo and onwards to the Castle.
While in the limo, Ben moves closer to Uma, “You know we have three months to make up some time right?” He whispers seductively in her ear, Uma biting her lip before looking at him. As the woman of Auradon can’t resist Ben's charms, she can but sometimes her strong will thoughts… disappear.
“I’ll see you tonight detention,” She placed a finger on his lips as Kailani looked at her parents wondering what were they doing.
“What’s Detention?” Kailani asks,
“NOTHING!” Uma and Ben said at the same time removing them from their thoughts.
“You're tucking her into bed tonight,” Uma said to Ben before Uma moved over next to Kailani who was too busy playing with her legos.
