Robby’s my favorite character so don’t think I’m saying that Axel breaking Robby’s leg isn’t a big deal because I don’t like him. It’s just that overall, Axel breaking his leg can be easily forgiven and is kind of par for the course for the show.
So have Axel apologize to Robby, maybe after his match but before Wolf versus Johnny. Have Robby just kind of be like “cool, thanks. You won’t do anything like that again, right?”
Axel says that he won’t and Robby’s just like “great, wanna come hang out with me and the others?”
Axel is concerned but Robby waves it off and tells him to come. Once they arrive to where the hangout is (maybe Miyagi Do or the arcade or something) and the others especially Miguel are like “Hey! Get away from him” or “what is he doing here” and Robby just shrugs saying he apologized. Either the others keep going and Robby tells the Miyagi Do people the paragraph I’m about to write or the Miyagi Do people shrug and welcome him in where he asks how they can just let him join them after what he’s done and they tell him what I’m about to write.
For the first option, Robby says “Miguel, I broke your back and you forgave me. Also, he isn’t the first one to fight dirty and injure me in a tournament. Our first tournament, Hawk hit me in the shoulder with my back tuned between points and you fought dirty targeting it. Speaking of Hawk, Hawk broke Demetri’s arm and their best friends again. Sam has a scar on her arm from one of her fights with Tory and had panic attacks because of it. Tory and the other Cobras broke into Sam’s house and fought us. Tory helped to hold Hawk down while I shaved off his Mohawk. Plus, there’s the whole thing that happened between Anthony and Kenny and their friends now. Honestly, what he did is not that bad.”
So that’s if Miyagi Do try to protest, if they don’t and just let him join, and he is questioning why, the others chime in with what they’ve done all casually and stuff. Like Hawk causally saying he hurt Robby in the first tournament and how he broke Demetri’s arm. Miguel saying how he targeted Robby’s injury and about how Robby broke his back and he still forgives him and they’re brothers now. Sam and Tory just casually mentioning some of the stuff that happened between them.
Basically, some of the fights and injuries from the past are brought up and Axel just looks horrified.
Change of headcanon here. After the tournament is over multiple dojos meet up somewhere, maybe the arcade or something just to hang out now that they are no longer competitors. Maybe the topic of past fights come up and the Miyagi Do/Cobra Kai kids are just casually talking about some of their drama and fights and injuries and all of the other dojos are just so concerned because what the heck, that is not normal. And someone comments on how that is probably why they were all so good in the brawl. Most of the others are used to sparring and matches but not full on brawls and most of the other dojos were staying in packs while one or two of the Miyagi Do people were together fighting off a group. Think about it, Robby versus most of the male Cobras, Tory versus multiple Iron Dragons, Demetri and Hawk against practically a whole dojo with an assist at the end, Sam against multiple Dublin Thunder people and then goes on to assist Tory. Most of the other teams were staying together, safety in numbers while Miyagi Do was split up and taking out multiple people on their own as they are used to being ganged up on fighting multiple people with no rules. No stopping after a hit, hit until the other person is down, preferably knock them out.
