The Great Sage of Creation

Summary:

It was the best escape that Sun Wukong could ever come up with, allowing the heavens to think he was defeated while all he did was seperate the soul from the body.

The plan was to slip away and allow for his body to reincarnate so he could lay low and only surface once things calm down...however it seemed that fate had other plans for him as he suddenly felt a pull.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Sun Wukong stared down the heavenly army that had been sent to bring him back to the court.

He had already defeated all of them before and was now much stronger then all of them combined.

His journey had come to an end and he was now the Buddha of victorious fighting but even with the title of Buddha, one only few can get.

Sun Wukong was still not free, all he craved was the respect of the heavens and he had finally received a title he felt worthy to gain, now all he wanted was to live a life of peace on his mountain.

Though it seemed that the heavens would not allow this as they demanded he take his place among the Celestial court but he refused them and all those the heavens sent to take him on were all defeated easily.

This did not stop the heavens however from sending more and more.

That was how he realised that he would never truly be free as long as the heavens considered him alive and a threat.

It however was impossible to kill him since he possessed multiple layers of immortality and magic.

Thus he needed a plan, one befitting him, he needed to go down in a blaze of glory and what better way than declaring war upon the heavens once again.

Hearing his declaration, the heavens took it very seriously as they gathered all heavenly soldiers, generals and even the kings of the four directions.

Sun Wukong looked on at the soldiers, generals and more with a grin.

Demons as well had gathered to aid in taking him down on order from the king of the underworld, still bitter at the monkey for besting him and erasing his name from the book of death.

Sun Wukong stood alone as he looked at all of them, raising his hand to his ear as he took a deep breath before grinning.

"How sad, so much fear in one simple monkey." Sun Wukong said as he laughed while pulling out his staff from his ear as it grew.

Spinning his staff in one hand he closed his eyes for a moment before opening them in a golden fiery glow before he took off into the air towards the army as he gripped his staff.

The battle was long and glorious, many soldiers and deities had been defeated by the monkey as they all pushed on to attack him together as spells had been sent from all directions to impede the monkey but even that was not enough to take him down.

In the end though, Sun Wukongs body laid on the ground, his armour broken and a long slash moving diagonally down his chest as he laid in a pool of his own blood.

"What...a good fight..." He said weakly as he chuckled.

He had never experienced the feeling of death before so he wanted to make it last a little as he wondered how all those he had fought in the past.

"Brother..."

Sun Wukong felt his head lifted carefully by a large hand.

Glancing to the side, he looked at the one who had done it as he smiled.

The bull king had been looking down at him sadly as the Sun laughed weakly as more blood came from his mouth.

"I suppose this is it, brother..." Sun Wukong said as he shook his head.

"Do not be sad...I lived a life that many dream of but...I am content with this end...live well and protect your family..."

Those were his last words to his brother before he pushed his soul out of his body.

His soul now floated over his corpse and the Bull king who still held on to his body.

He appreciated this before he turned and flew away to get to his mountain where his soul would remain until it was time.

It wasn't for long however before he felt a sharp pull not allowing him to move anymore.

"Huh...?" He muttered as he looked around but there were no signs of a spell being placed on him, there were no symbols but the pull seemed to get stronger.

He tried to fight it as best he could but then everything suddenly turned dark but before that, he heard one voice speak to him.

"Rest now, Buddha of Victorious Fighting, just as your title says, you have your victory and freedom, use it well for even I do not know if this shall happen again in your favour."

"Buddha..." Sun Wukong muttered before all was lost to him.

'Ugh...my head hurts just like that time I drank all that heavenly wine...that also goes for that accursed loop of binding...' Sun thought groaning.

The Monkey felt his consciousness returning to him which he still could not comprehend as to how he lost it in the first place since he was a soul less body.

'That was definitely Buddha who spoke to me...what was he talking about though...' He thought as he now looked around seeing only darkness.

He didn't know what was happening now or where he was.

He remembered fighting against the heavens as a last hoorah before separating his body and soul so that he could...

'Oh! I must be in the process of being reincarnated, how foolish of me to forget.' He thought laughing at himself a little.

He wondered thought what his reincarnation would be, he hoped it would still be a monkey but he'd be fine with another though he did hope it wasn't as something foolish like a pig, his old friend wouldn't let him live it down if he was.

'Ooooh maybe I'll come back as a human, that'd certainly be entertaining though I just hope they'd keep my good looks otherwise the handsome Monkey King would lose its flare.' He thought as he floated in the darkness.

He tried to move his limbs but they seemed to be stuck.

'Hm...' Sun thought as he tried to flex his fingers and toes but they would not move for him either which he could not understand.

He never realised that reincarnation was so boring...he should have just wiped out the heavens and let Buddha seal him in a mountain again, at least then he would be asleep until someone woke him up.

'You never realise how long something really is when you can't just sleep through it...well I suppose that's an idea if nothing starts happening soon.' Wukong thought as he started twiddling his thumbs...or he would if he could actually move.

Finally after what felt like an eternity, he finally heard some voices.

"What if we add this?" A distinctly male sounding voice asked.

Before he could ponder why, he heard quite the elegant voice follow up, this one feminine.

"No Samael, the basic foundation is already complete, we have done our part, now all our father has to do is give both man and woman form with the breath of life and then the clay should start to change into the first humans." She explained to the apparent Samael.

Before Sun could wonder what she had meant by "first humans" soon another voice spoke out, this one being male but this one sounding more stern but had some wisdom, it reminded Sun of Tripitaka whenever he would miss behave and he got reprimanded.

"Samael, we have already told you that your job is to create the stars for the night sky, we already handed out jobs for every angel to handle and nearly all of creation is done, now all that is left for now is to handle creating the Lord and Lady of Eden." He said.

'Alright, now I'm fairly certain they are talking about me...' Sun thought.

A few seconds later, Sun could hear someone take a deep breath before breathing out.

It felt like the breath was hitting him right in the face before a bright light seemed to form in the darkness.

He felt the familiar energy of life that was similar to the energy that Buddha seemed to always radiate.

His body felt filled with energy that mixed in with his own.

He felt stronger as the power he already had seemed to resonate with this energy in a calming harmony.

The air soon began to fill his lungs as he felt everything around him once more, the sensation of the living and the energy that flowed naturally within nature.

Finally, he opened his eyes as he could see, all around him was the lushness of a forest.

'Odd, this is not Huaguo but it seems to resonate with the same energy.' Sun thought as he looked upon all the animals that would also live on his mountain.

His nose though was immediately wonderful smell of all kinds of fruits that came from the tree as he grinned.

Just before he was about to leap towards the smell to partake of the fruit, he heard a gasp behind him that stopped him.
