like real people do

Summary:

“We should do this again sometime,” Jayce suggested, clearly trying to be sly. It made Viktor quirk a grin.

“I agree. Thank you for buying me dinner, Jayce. I had a good time.”

His face lit up and he nodded. “Yeah, yeah, of course. I’m glad you had a good time.” For a moment, the two of them just looked at each other before he continued, “Can I–?”

“Kiss me, Jayce.”

aka: sex club au pt 3: the date!

Work Text:

Viktor arrived at the restaurant exactly twenty minutes before the reservation was scheduled to start.

In all honesty, he hadn’t been surprised that Jayce asked him out to dinner during their last encounter. Jayce exuded boy next door energy, like he would be the kind of person to care about “doing things right.” He didn’t seem like someone who would engage in casual sex— not for long, anyway. Viktor wasn’t blind; he could tell from the looks Jayce gave him that Jayce wanted all strings attached. Exclusivity when it came to sex wouldn’t be enough.

Viktor was, of course, interested. He wouldn’t have agreed to the date if he wasn’t. Ever since their first night together, he had craved more of Jayce, so much so that he kept an eagle eye on the club’s entrance whenever he was there. After a month of waiting, Viktor had resigned himself to never seeing Jayce again. Perhaps that was why he acted so rashly when he saw Jayce in the library. He had been… overcome, he supposed, with want.

Taking a deep breath, Viktor pushed open the door to the restaurant with his free hand and approached the hostess stand. The woman greeted him with a smile.

“Welcome! Do you have a reservation?”

He nodded once. “It should be under, ah… Talis?”

She glanced down at the tablet in front of her and tapped the screen a couple of times. “It looks like you’re the first one here. Do you want me to go ahead and take you to the table?”

Viktor glanced around the small lobby and frowned when he didn’t see any seating space— what restaurant didn’t have chairs in their waiting area? He nodded again; his knee had already been acting up today and didn’t want to chance making it worse. “Please.”

He followed the hostess to their table: a round two-seater with plush chairs. A small candle sat, lit, in a decorative candle holder and a single red rose was placed in a simple vase beside it. Silverware was already laid out in neat lines with the forks on the left, knife and spoon on the right. The hostess set their menus on the table and gave him another smile.

“Enjoy. Your server will be right with you.”

He dipped his head. “Thank you.”

When the hostess left, Viktor draped his jacket across the back of one chair and turned to find the bathroom. He wanted to freshen up a bit before Jayce got there; he had taken the bus and walked half a mile from the bus stop and he was certain he was at least a little disheveled from it.

Thankfully, the bathroom was empty when he entered. Viktor walked up to the counter and rested his cane against it before inspecting himself in the large mirror. His outfit, he hoped, was nice enough for dinner: a faux-silk dark green dress shirt and his nicest pair of black slacks. He took a moment to fix his hair and straighten out his clothes, although he didn’t really need to. Objectively, he knew he looked fine, but he found himself fretting anyway.

Viktor was, well, nervous, he supposed. It had been a long while since he had last been on a proper date. He went to lunches and dinners with his subs on occasion, usually as a gesture of gratitude on the submissive’s part. They strictly were not dates, though. Truly, he liked to keep his club life and his romantic life separate. That was the real reason for his final rule of no kissing— it made things simpler, easier.

Then Jayce showed up that one night.

Jayce charmed him, Viktor had to admit. He wanted to say that the moment Jayce wormed his way into his mind was when Jayce called him beautiful, but the truth was much more embarrassing. No, Jayce had enchanted him the moment he brought Viktor a beer with that awkward-but-sweet, earnest charm. The rest of the night only endeared him to the man more and more.

Viktor made eye contact with himself in the mirror and let out a soft sigh. Part of him was worried this date would go poorly. Viktor had no doubt that Jayce was truly interested in him, but they hadn’t talked much outside of the gentle small talk they engaged with during the aftercare. What if Jayce decided, somewhere during the meal, that he didn’t like Viktor as a person? What if he never wanted to see Viktor again?

Viktor took a deep breath, smoothing his hands down his thighs. He looked down at his watch and forced himself to take one more deep inhale. It was seven o’clock. Jayce should have arrived by now.

He took his cane and made his way back to the table. Sure enough, Jayce was already there, looking around nervously. He was fidgeting with the straw in his water glass, swirling the ice around with it. When Viktor came into eyesight, he stood, a bright smile spreading across his face. The smile was enough to make Viktor’s heart skip a beat— Jayce seemed so excited to see him.

“Viktor, hey,” Jayce greeted, then pulled Viktor into a hug when he was close enough. Viktor tensed, then, eyes widening slightly. The hug wasn’t unwelcome, just… unexpected. He didn’t even have enough time to relax into it, to reciprocate, before Jayce was pulling away. If Jayce noticed the way Viktor had tensed, he said nothing. “I’m so glad you could make it.”

“Thank you for inviting me,” Viktor said as they both took their seats. He idly opened his menu and spared a glance down at it a moment. It was a simple, two page menu with no prices listed. Just how much money did Jayce have? “How have you been? You should be done with finals now, yes?”

“Yes. Yeah, thank god,” Jayce said, letting out a sigh of relief. “I finished on Thursday. Now I just have to pray I didn’t flunk all of them.”

“You mentioned studying hard, so I am confident that you did fine. Eh, what’s that saying? C’s get degrees?”

Jayce chuckled. “I guess so. I’m usually pretty good at exams but some of my professors this year are, uh…”

“Hardasses?”

“Hey, you said it, not me.”

A server came over after a minute to take their drink orders. Jayce ordered a soda, abstaining from alcohol because he would have to drive later. Viktor glanced at the wine menu that was given with the regular menus and let out a hum. He wasn’t typically a wine person in general, if he were being honest. Hard liquor appealed to him more, but he hadn’t seen a bar in this establishment.

“What is your sweetest wine?” He asked, disregarding the menu. He wouldn’t know any of the names, anyway.

“That would be our Moscato, but it’s more of a dessert wine.”

Viktor waved his hand dismissively. “That will be fine.”

The server looked momentarily surprised before he nodded once. “I’ll be right back with your drinks, then.”

As soon as the server walked away, Jayce raised an eyebrow at Viktor. He had this sort of… delighted-and-endeared smile on his face that made Viktor’s heart falter. Jayce spoke, “You like sweet things?”

Viktor shrugged one shoulder. “It is one of my vices.”

There was an expression on Jayce’s face that Viktor couldn’t quite read. There was interest there, but it felt like more than just that. The look in Jayce’s eye was that of a curious scientist who just found a topic that ignited a passion inside of him. Viktor was familiar with that look, after helping so many undergrads find their passion for mechanical engineering as Heimerdinger’s teaching assistant.

He had never had the look focused on him before, however. He wasn’t sure what to do.

“So, you attend Piltover State?”

Viktor nodded once, grateful for Jayce leading the conversation. “I am in my first year of the bioengineering graduate program. You?”

Jayce looked momentarily flustered. “I’m an undergrad— a senior. I’m going to be applying to the theoretical physics grad program, though. I just need to figure out what professors to get my letters of recommendation from.”

“I would ask sooner rather than later. There is no such thing as asking them too early.”

“Noted.” Jayce glanced up, then, when the server brought over their drinks. Viktor gingerly picked up his wine glass and swirled the wine around inside, not because he really knew the why, but only that you were supposed to. Wealthy people's customs were often strange to him, but he tried to conform to them, anyway. Well, at least the ones he didn’t deem unreasonable.

After Jayce took a sip of his drink, he continued, “What are you researching? For your thesis.”

“Ah,” Viktor straightened up a little. “I am studying genetic mutations that cause neuromuscular disorders. I want to see if there is a way we can alter them.”

Jayce raised an eyebrow. “Genetic engineering? Isn’t that highly… uh, debated?”

He nodded and took another sip of his wine. “It is, I’ll admit. My work is just theoretical, but I truly hope it will help people one day.”

“I’m sure it will,” Jayce quirked a little smile that had Viktor’s cheeks heating a little. “I want to help people, too. I-I think I want to do something with clean energy sources? Bring more power to people across the world.”

“Noble,” Viktor mused. “What kind of energy?”

“Nuclear fascinates me the most. I think I want to study reactor meltdowns and try to figure out methods to prevent them. To make nuclear energy safer.”

“That sounds like a good starting point. I’ll admit, I’m not that learned on nuclear physics. You should send me some studies.”

Jayce perked up at that and nodded once. “Yeah! Yeah, sure. I can.” He took a breath. “But I want to know more about you. How did you, uh— how did you end up a regular at the club?”

“I was interested in the scene when I started undergrad, and was looking for a place to, ah… experiment, as they say. I found Shimmer mentioned in some forums, so I decided to go. I’m sure you can figure out the rest.”

“How often do you go?”

“I go often simply because it is my preferred bar. I really only engage in… activities about once a month, or if anyone catches my eye.”

Jayce’s face was bright red as he asked, “Did I catch your eye?”

“You did.”

Eventually, the server came back over and took their orders. Viktor hadn’t been looking at the menu so much as he had been talking to Jayce, so he ordered the first thing that sounded good and seemed more inexpensive. While he was sure that Jayce wouldn’t mind spending the money on him, he didn’t want to make Jayce have to.

They veered away from club talk while they waited for the food, steering more toward small talk about school, classes, professors. While it was ever-so-slightly awkward at first, it began to feel… well, natural. The conversation never felt forced; there were never lulls and soon they began to share stories about their lives that interested each other. Viktor hadn’t had this much fun socializing in a while.

“—turns out, I had miscalculated the energy input, so the whole thing exploded in my face. It took forever to wash the soot off.”

Viktor laughed at that before covering his mouth with his hand. “Sorry, I don’t mean to laugh at you. I’ve just had that happen to me before so I understand the feeling.”

Jayce didn’t look offended at the laugh, however. There was a look of pleasant surprise on his face before it melted back into that look of adoration. That expression made Viktor’s cheeks heat and had him looking away while he took a sip of his wine. He feared Jayce would keep looking at him that way and Viktor might very well have to get used to it, lest his entire face turn red.

Their food didn’t take long to arrive and they chatted through the entire meal. Really, Jayce did the brunt of the talking, where Viktor chimed in with a quip every so often. Viktor ended up finishing his dinner much faster than Jayce, but he didn’t mind. He could sit and listen to Jayce talk for hours, he was pretty sure. Jayce was incredibly intelligent and he was a good talker, not to mention the sound of his voice was nice, too.

There must’ve been an amused expression on Viktor’s face, because Jayce paused his story to ask, “What? Is there something on my face?”

“Ah, no. It’s just… I’m not used to you being so… coherent, is all,” he responded with a small grin that only grew when Jayce became flustered again.

Viktor loved seeing Jayce blush.

Through their talking, Jayce eventually finished his food, and the server came to clear their plates. The check was soon dropped off, and Jayce paid with no hesitation. Viktor tried to offer to help, but the other wouldn’t hear it. It made Viktor feel oddly flustered again. He was so terribly unused to being taken care of in a romantic context; he would have to learn to be less shy.

“How are you getting home?” Jayce asked Viktor as they both stood from their seats and put on their jackets.

“I took the bus here,” he explained. “I’m afraid my leg is too bad for me to drive a car properly.”

“Allow me to drive you home.”

“That is kind of you, but you do not have to. I’ll be fine.”

“No, I insist, V. Let me drive you.”

V? Were they at nicknames already? Stupefied, Viktor just nodded his agreement. “I-I suppose that would be fine.”

“Great.” Jayce smiled wide, then put a hand on the small of Viktor’s back to gently steer him toward his car. Viktor was, admittedly, a little surprised when he realized the somewhat beat up red truck in the parking lot was Jayce’s. With the fanciness of the restaurant, he had expected an equally as fancy car. This, though, somehow felt more Jayce; he could only imagine the car was sentimental.

Jayce did have to help Viktor into the truck, however, as the step up was a little hard to make. He tried not to feel embarrassed about it, especially since Jayce helped him so effortlessly and without comment. He was just glad that Jayce didn’t make a big deal of helping him; people tended to make a scene whenever Viktor needed help due to his disability.

The drive took about ten minutes, which they filled with talking. Viktor lived in a small, ground-floor apartment only a mile away from the main Piltover State campus. It was an easy walk for him on good days, and on bad days, well, the campus bus line had a stop nearby he could usually force himself to make the walk to.

When Jayce pulled up to Viktor’s apartment, he looked at Viktor with big eyes. “Let me walk you inside?”

Something tugged at Viktor’s heartstrings. “Alright.”

Jayce walking Viktor to his door was wholly unnecessary considering that his door was merely a few yards from where Jayce had parked. Viktor sensed there were some… ulterior motives, not that he really minded, though. If Jayce didn’t offer, Viktor would have invited him in.

Viktor turned his back to his door and tipped his gaze up at Jayce. The movement felt so coy it nearly made him cringe, but he resisted the urge. Jayce stood before him, looking a bit unsure what to do with himself. It was endearing how nervous he could get around Viktor.

Jayce leaned down and captured Viktor’s lips with his own. It was quick, chaste, the perfect “good night” kiss, but Viktor wasn’t having it. No, Viktor set his cane against the door in favor of wrapping his arms around Jayce’s neck and pulling him back in for a deeper kiss. He had to sort of pray that Jayce would catch on quickly and support his weight so his knees wouldn’t buckle without the additional support. It was a little leap of faith, but one made on good judgment, as Jayce’s hands immediately went to Viktor’s waist to help hold him up and pull him closer at the same time.

Viktor would be lying if he said he hadn’t been thinking about this the entire drive to his apartment. He tried to keep his mind clean, he really did, but something about Jayce made him just want so terribly. It was as if Jayce lit a fire inside of him that wasn’t there before.

He nipped at Jayce’s lower lip and Jayce made a sound that made Viktor almost immediately wet.

He pulled away, panting softly. Shakily, he pulled his keys from his pocket and shoved them at Jayce. “Inside.”

It took some maneuvering, but the two eventually got to Viktor’s bedroom. They were never separate from each other for long, pausing their steps to continue kissing or to shed an article of clothing. By the time the two of them fell into bed together, they were undressed, save for their underwear. Jayce ended up on top, kissing Viktor firmly into the mattress.

Jayce kissed down Viktor’s chest and spoke against his skin, “No gloves tonight.”

Viktor understood what that meant: no games, something pure and raw and emotional. It had been a while since he had sex without also having a scene; he hadn’t found anyone who he felt comfortable enough around to drop his cool dom persona with since he began the act in the first place. It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable with his previous subs but simply that it took extra vulnerability to be himself and he hadn’t clicked with anyone in that way. Until Jayce.

He took a deep breath and nodded, even though Jayce was too busy kissing each of his ribs to see. “Alright. No gloves.”

The smile he earned from Jayce would be worth any embarrassment Viktor may feel tonight from being just… himself.

Jayce’s hands creeped down to Viktor’s underwear and raised an eyebrow in a silent question. When Viktor nodded, Jayce quickly but gently pulled down the briefs and blindly discarded them. There was a moment where Jayce just stared and Viktor could practically see the gears turning in his brain as he tried to decide what to do next. It made Viktor want to squirm.

Before he could say anything, Jayce groaned and brought a hand down to split his folds. Viktor’s breath caught. “Fuck, I want to be inside you.”

Viktor’s hand immediately went to the drawer in his bedside table and pulled out a bottle of lube. He practically shoved it at Jayce. “Hurry, then.”

Jayce wasted no time in popping open the cap and poured some of the lube on his fingers. “Do you have a condom?”

He made a frustrated noise. Jayce seemed to catch the memo and slipped a finger inside of him, quickly followed by a second one when the stretch was enough. Trying to keep his voice even, Viktor presented his own question, “Are you clean?”

“I— yes.”

“Test recently?”

“After our first time.”

Fair enough, Viktor thought. He rolled his hips back against Jayce’s fingers because he had stilled them in their back and forth. “No condom, then.”

There was a trace of barely-contained glee on Jayce’s face and he began to scissor Viktor open in earnest. Viktor would tease him about it if he weren’t also a bit excited. “Should I, uh, pull out, then?”

Viktor rolled his eyes, though he wasn’t annoyed. Honestly, he was a bit impressed that Jayce was being so careful. “You ask so many questions.”

“I don’t want to–”

“You won’t get me pregnant. I’m infertile.”

Jayce blinked, but then nodded once. “Understood.”

Blessedly, that was the end of their logistics talk. Jayce leaned down to capture Viktor’s lips in a heated kiss as he added a third finger inside of him. Viktor moaned into his mouth, desperate hips moving to meet each thrust of fingers. They filled him up so good; Jayce’s hands were perfectly, perfectly large.

Jayce moved, then, to kiss down Viktor’s jaw and neck. He paused over where Viktor’s neck met his shoulder and experimentally grazed his teeth there. Viktor let out a soft moan at the realization that Jayce wanted to mark him. The implications of it made his head spin; Viktor usually claimed others or had others wanting to be claimed by him. Very rarely did anyone want to claim him for themself.

He clenched around Jayce’s fingers and he could feel Jayce grin against his neck. “You like that?”

“Yeah,” Viktor answered, dazed from some fucking hickies. He willed himself to take a deep breath, tilting his head to the side so Jayce would have better access. “You can leave them higher.”

Something must’ve sparked inside Jayce, because his other hand gripped Viktor’s hip tighter and his fingers thrusted harder. Viktor let out a moan, a bit startled, though he was definitely not complaining.

Jayce did not disappoint when it came to leaving marks. He kissed up Viktor’s jaw, pausing every few inches to suck a bruise that blossomed almost immediately upon Viktor’s pale skin. When he was satisfied with the right side of his neck, he gently nudged Viktor’s head to leave another scattering of marks upon the left side of his neck. Though, after each mark was left, a soothing, gentle kiss was placed upon it, which sent shivers up Viktor’s spine.

Viktor could feel himself getting closer and closer the longer Jayce fucked him on his fingers. He was well beyond prepped by this point, and he was impatient for Jayce to fuck him, but he also didn’t want to interrupt whatever possessive-driven hickey mission Jayce was on. The attention was something he was so unused to receiving in this way and he would be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy it. The feeling of being laid bare, taken apart beneath Jayce simply because Jayce wanted to and wasn’t just playing some sort of game… it was intoxicating.

Kissing the underside of Viktor’s jaw, Jayce spoke, “C’mon V, give me one before I fuck you.”

That was all it took for Viktor to tip over the edge with a soft cry. Jayce worked him through it, stopping only when Viktor relaxed ever so slightly. The loss of Jayce’s fingers nearly made Viktor whine, and the realization of his desperation made him feel hot. Surely, he was red all over.

Jayce looked down at Viktor with a smile that only served to make Viktor feel even more flustered. He leaned down and kissed Viktor so sweetly that it made Viktor’s stomach do flips.

“Are you ready?” He asked when he pulled away.

Viktor rolled his eyes. “I have been ready. Fuck me.”

Jayce grabbed the discarded bottle of lube and slicked himself up. He lined his dick up with the entrance of Viktor’s cunt, momentarily mesmerized by the sight. In an effort to get him back on track, Viktor wrapped his legs around Jayce’s hips and pressed his heel into the small of his back. It seemed to work, and Jayce slowly pressed inside Viktor.

The two of them let out a soft groan when Jayce bottomed out. While Viktor adjusted to the feeling of Jayce inside him, the man above him ran his hands up and down his sides soothingly. The movement made Viktor relax more into the mattress.

“God, Viktor…” Jayce whispered, ducking his head to trail kisses along Viktor’s top surgery scars. “You’re so fucking handsome.”

Viktor swallowed thickly, heart stuttering. “Thank you, Jayce.”

“You know it, right?” He asked as he glanced up at Viktor.

That caught Viktor off-guard. “I…”

Viktor’s lackluster response only spurred Jayce on more. He left more kisses across Viktor’s chest, muttering a word between each one. “Beautiful, stunning, charming, irresistible–”

“Okay, I get it,” Viktor laughed, eyes rolling fondly. “Enough with the adjectives and fuck me.”

Jayce didn’t seem too satisfied with that response, but he also looked like he didn’t wish to argue with his dick inside Viktor. Instead, he pulled out slow and thrust back in, setting a pace that was fast enough to please Viktor, but not the fast pace that sometimes he craved during scenes.

He had to keep reminding himself that this wasn’t a scene. This, to Jayce, was probably lovemaking, even though the word felt strange to think. It was too romantically charged to just be fucking, not with the copious amounts of kissing, sweet nothings, and the date beforehand that had gone pretty well, all things considered. Viktor supposed he was okay with it being lovemaking, since it was with Jayce.

He realized with startling clarity that he wanted Jayce to be more than just a submissive to him. He liked Jayce terribly.

“Jayce,” Viktor said on a gasp that turned into a moan on the exhale. ”Jayce.”

The man above him captured his lips in a quick kiss before trailing a hand down to Viktor’s cock. He circled it with his thumb, firm. The attention pulled another loud moan from Viktor, who was struggling to keep his thoughts in line with the undercurrent of overstimulation running through him.

“Jayce, wait,” he panted. “Look at me.”

Jayce paused in his motions, his thrusts, and looked up at him with a concerned face. “Viktor? Is everything okay?”

“Yes, just…” He tried to take a deep breath. “I want you to be my submissive, and we can- can talk about that later, but I also–” he couldn’t catch his damn breath– “I also want to be your boyfriend.”

The words took a second to sink into Jayce’s brain, but the moment they did, his eyes lit up, a smile spreading across his face. Viktor’s heart did something that would be concerning in a normal context.

“We will still need to go on a couple more dates, but—”

“Viktor,” Jayce breathed, then leaned down to kiss him again.

This kiss was different from the others. It was more passionate, slower, deeper. It was as if Jayce was trying to pour all of his thoughts and feelings into the kiss where words failed him. Viktor reciprocated, nerves melting away when he knew the answer to his sort-of-question was a resounding yes. He lifted his hands to cup Jayce’s cheeks and pull his face as close to his own as physically possible.

Jayce resumed his thrusts somewhere in all of the kissing; it was becoming sort of a blur to Viktor. He could feel himself growing closer and closer again with every one of Jayce’s thrusts against his g-spot. Between kisses, Jayce slipped his hand between them again to thumb at Viktor’s cock once more and that was it.

Viktor came with his cry muffled by Jayce’s mouth. Jayce groaned in response to Viktor’s cunt practically gripping Jayce’s cock as he fucked Viktor through his orgasm. It only took a couple more thrusts into Viktor’s wet heat to send Jayce over the edge as well, spilling inside him. Viktor made a soft noise at the feeling of being filled, some unknown need inside of him satisfied.

The two of them didn’t move for a couple of minutes as they came down from their highs, panting. After a little, Jayce slowly pulled out and moved to lay down beside Viktor. Viktor shifted and wrapped his arms around Jayce to pull him close, burying his face in the crook of his neck. He was silent for another moment longer as he just breathed in the scent of Jayce and sex.

Jayce was the one to break the silence first. “Did you mean it?”

Viktor hummed and pulled away just enough to look at Jayce in the face. “Yes. Perhaps it is a little… soon, but I will be honest when I say that I have never felt like this about anyone before, Jayce. You are special to me.”

Jayce stared at Viktor for a moment, dumbfounded by the words. “You’re special to me too, Viktor. I don’t know what it is, you just… make me crazy.”

He quirked a smile. “In a good way, I hope?”

Jayce laughed. “Yeah. In a good way.”

“We can discuss it more in the morning,” Viktor suggested as he moved to curl back into Jayce. “There’s many things I would like to discuss with you.”

“Like… me being your, uh, submissive?”

“If you’re amiable.”

“Yes! Yes I am… amiable. Plenty amiable,” Jayce rushed to reassure, making Viktor snort a laugh.

“Tomorrow, then. Now, I want to rest. I’m exhausted.” He paused. “You are staying, if I didn’t make that clear.”

Jayce grinned and pressed a kiss to Viktor’s forehead. He, then, wrapped his arms back around Viktor so the two were holding each other. He rested his chin atop Viktor’s head, fully enveloping Viktor in his embrace. It felt so good to just be held like that; it was definitely something he could find himself getting used to.

“Tomorrow,” Jayce echoed. “Sleep well, Viktor.”
