Daisy Johnson's Diary - Season 2

Chapter 1: Diary Entry – Skye (2x01: Shadows)

Summary:

Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources, but that's not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again?

Chapter Text

We’re ghosts now—fugitives in the eyes of the world, scraping by on scraps and instinct. Coulson’s the new Director, but it’s a title weighed down by too many losses and too many unknowns. The S.H.I.E.L.D. I believed in is gone, buried under betrayal and Hydra’s rot. We’re rebuilding from the ashes, but it’s hard to know who to trust when half the faces around you are strangers. The new recruits? They’re skilled, sure—but they haven’t bled with us. They don’t know what it cost. We’re still fighting, still trying to protect people from things they’ll never see coming, but sometimes I wonder if we’re really saving the world, or just barely holding it together. One thing’s clear though—trust is earned now, not given. And we’re gonna have to earn it the hard way.

Chapter 2: Diary Entry – Skye (2x02: Heavy is the Head)

Summary:

Hunted and running out of solutions, Phil Coulson puts his team right in the line of fire in the hopes of saving them all. But with General Glenn Talbot, HYDRA, and Carl Creel all on the attack, can they possibly survive? Meanwhile, a mysterious Doctor harbors some dangerous secrets that could destroy one of our core team members.

Chapter Text

We're being pulled in every direction—Talbot breathing down our necks, HYDRA circling like vultures, and Carl Creel turning everything he touches into a weapon. Coulson’s walking a razor’s edge, making calls that could get us killed, but I get it. He’s trying to keep us together. Alive. Sometimes it feels like we’re chasing shadows with nothing but duct tape and desperation. And then there’s this Doctor—this stranger with secrets that feel too close, too personal. There’s something about him, something twisted, and I can’t shake the feeling that whatever he’s hiding… it’s about me. I don’t know why, but my gut is screaming, and I’ve learned not to ignore it. We’re barely holding on, and the worst part is—I don’t think any of us are ready for what’s coming next.

Chapter 3: Diary Entry – Skye (2x03: Making Friends and Influencing People)

Summary:

Coulson and his team race against HYDRA to get to Donnie Gill--a dangerous gifted with the ability to freeze objects--while Simmons is caught in the crossfire.

Chapter Text

This job keeps getting messier. We were after Donnie Gill—a gifted with the power to freeze things, and honestly? I saw a lot of myself in him. Lost. Scared. Used. But HYDRA got to him first, twisting his mind, turning his pain into a weapon. And Simmons... she was in HYDRA. Undercover. I knew she left, but seeing her like that, in their world, playing their game—it messed with me. I trust her, I do, but it still hurt. Everything’s so gray now. Every mission has more shadows than light, and I don’t know if we’re winning, surviving, or just not losing fast enough. But I know one thing: I won’t let what happened to Donnie happen to anyone else. Not if I can help it.

Chapter 4: Diary Entry – Skye (2x04: Face My Enemy)

Summary:

While on a mission to learn more about the secrets of the mysterious writing, Coulson finds himself attacked by the only person he can trust: Agent Melinda May. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is trapped in an explosive situation, and it's up to Fitz to save them--but is he up to it?

Chapter Text

Today was chaos—explosions, lies, and Coulson fighting May. Like, really fighting her. And it wasn’t training. It was brutal. Turns out it wasn’t actually May (thank you, face-swapping tech), but still—watching Coulson get pushed that far, all because of this alien writing obsession… it’s getting scary. He says he’s fine, but I see the cracks. He’s trying to hold this whole broken organization together while something is breaking him from the inside. And while all that was happening, the rest of us were nearly blown sky-high. Fitz saved us. Fitz. Even with all the damage he’s still working through, he came through for us. I’ve never been prouder—or more protective. We’re all a little broken these days, but somehow, we’re still showing up for each other. Guess that’s something.

Chapter 5: Diary Entry – Skye (2x05: A Hen in the Wolf House)

Summary:

Coulson's team is up against the beautiful and deadly Bobbi Morse--Security Chief for HYDRA. Meanwhile, Skye's father forces Raina to reunite him with his daughter at any cost.

Chapter Text

So… I have a dad. A real one. And apparently, he’s terrifying. Raina showed up all sunshine and threats, talking about how he wants to meet me—how it’s “destiny” or whatever. But I saw the fear in her eyes, and if Raina’s scared of him? That says everything. Meanwhile, we were knee-deep in HYDRA again, and then—surprise—Bobbi Morse turns out to be undercover. Tall, gorgeous, and takes out HYDRA goons like she’s on a catwalk of destruction. I kind of love her already. But everything’s changing. Coulson’s getting more intense, and this whole thing with the alien writing, my maybe-evil dad, and secrets being dropped like bombs… I don’t know who I’m supposed to be anymore. But I know I’m not Skye. Not really. And maybe I never was.

Chapter 6: Diary Entry – Skye (2x06: A Fractured House)

Summary:

The world turns against S.H.I.E.L.D. when HYDRA impersonates them to attack The United Nations, and an unexpected enemy leads the charge to bring about their downfall.

Chapter Text

HYDRA played dress-up today—S.H.I.E.L.D. badges, gear, the whole package—and used it to attack the U.N. Now the whole world sees us as the enemy. It’s like we’re trying to climb out of a hole while HYDRA keeps shoveling dirt on top of us. And the guy leading the smear campaign? Christian Ward. Yeah—Ward’s brother. The one who knows how to twist words like a knife. It’s weird, hearing him talk about Grant like he’s a monster, even though… he kind of is. I want to believe people can change, but maybe not everyone. This job used to feel like fighting the good fight. Now? It’s all shadows, betrayals, and impossible choices. But I’m not giving up. Not when I’ve come this far just trying to figure out who the hell I really am.

Chapter 7: Diary Entry – Skye (2x07: The Writing on the Wall)

Summary:

The team discovers murder victims with the alien glyphs on them that Coulson's been etching. All of Coulson's secrets and lies come to a head.

Chapter Text

The writing’s not just in Coulson’s head—it’s killing people. Victims with those alien glyphs carved into them, like someone was trying to cut the answers out. And Coulson… he finally cracked. Locked himself in a room and spiraled until May forced him to come back to us. Turns out it’s not a message—it’s a map. To what, we still don’t know. But seeing him unravel like that? It scared me. Because if what’s inside him is also inside me… how long until I break, too? We’re playing with something huge, ancient, and definitely not human. I wanted answers about where I come from, but now I’m not so sure I’ll like what I find.

Chapter 8: Diary Entry – Skye (2x08: The Things We Bury)

Summary:

Coulson and team find themselves in an epic face-off against HYDRA to uncover an ancient secret, while Ward kidnaps his brother, Senator Christian Ward, for a violent trip down memory lane.

Chapter Text

This whole thing just keeps getting darker. Coulson’s chasing ancient secrets buried under centuries of blood and stone, and now we’re racing HYDRA to get to them first. Whatever’s down there—it’s tied to me. I can feel it. Meanwhile, Ward’s off the rails. He kidnapped his brother—a senator, no less—and made him confess all their childhood horrors before… well, let’s just say we probably won’t be seeing either of them at any family reunions. The line between monster and victim is getting real blurry, and I’m starting to wonder where I fall. All I know is, something’s coming. Something big. And whatever it is… it feels like it’s been waiting for me.

Chapter 9: Diary Entry – Skye (2x09: ...Ye Who Enter Here)

Summary:

S.H.I.E.L.D. discovers the ancient city before HYDRA, but uncovering the secrets may require one of Coulson's team to make the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, Melinda May and Skye race to get to Raina before Daniel Whitehall takes her.

Chapter Text

We found the city. The city. The one in the carvings, the one that’s been haunting Coulson, the one I somehow know is connected to me. But it’s not just buried in the earth—it’s buried in danger, sacrifice, and secrets no one wants to say out loud. Coulson’s acting like he’s fine, but I see the weight behind his eyes. He knows someone might not make it back. Meanwhile, Raina’s still a wildcard and HYDRA’s closing in fast—Whitehall’s obsession with “unlocking” people like me is straight-up nightmare fuel. May and I barely got to Raina in time, and even then, she wouldn’t shut up about destiny. Hers, mine, ours. I used to think being ordinary was boring… now I’m starting to miss it.

Chapter 10: Diary Entry – Skye (2x10: What They Become)

Summary:

Coulson and Whitehall's forces meet in an explosive confrontation that dramatically alters everyone's fates. Meanwhile, Skye discovers shocking secrets about her past.

Chapter Text

Everything changed. Whitehall’s dead—thankfully, brutally—but not before the truth hit me like a freight train. The man I’ve been searching for, wondering about my whole life? He’s my father. And he’s… unhinged. He calls himself Cal, and he swears he loves me, but watching him rip a man apart in front of me kind of killed the vibe. Then there was the Obelisk, the city, the transformation. Trip is gone. Just dust, like he was never there. And me? I changed. I felt it. Something inside cracked open, and now I don’t even know what I am. I wanted answers, and I got them—but they cost us everything.

Chapter 11: Diary Entry – Skye (2x11: Aftershocks)

Summary:

Coulson's team must deal with the consequences of their war with HYDRA as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and HYDRA makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midst.

Chapter Text

We’re all walking through the rubble now. Trip’s gone, and I can still feel his loss in every quiet moment. HYDRA’s out there, circling, waiting for the next move—and it’s not just their enemies they’re targeting. It’s us. The secrets we’ve been hiding, the lies we’ve been telling ourselves… they’re starting to crack open. And I think I might know who’s behind it all. The trust we built is shattered—Ward’s betrayal still stings like a fresh wound, and now there’s talk of another traitor in our midst. A traitor… It’s hard to believe, but in this game, it’s getting harder to believe anything. Coulson’s doing his best to keep the team from falling apart, but I can feel the weight of it. We’re fighting more than just HYDRA now. We’re fighting ourselves.
