[SWORD]
"ROCKET- HELP ME! HELP ME ROCK- NOOOOO-"
Sword cried out in agony and despair into his microphone attached to his headphones, his hands gripping both sides of his head as he watched his character getting launched into the PHUCKING stratosphere after his ass got handed to him on a silver platter by the enemy team. The flag he had fought so hard to get was retrieved by them, resetting all his and his team's progress. Letting out a whimper, Sword buried his face into his hands.
"Oh Swords- PHUCK! Sorry, dude. They got you before I can help..."
His friend apologized through the voice chat. Sword only shook his head and slumped down into his gaming chair. Deciding that he needed a moment to calm himself down, his gaze pulled itself away from the screen to look around the room- anywhere from the intense match he was currently having.
He had a normal room any demon of his age had- he thought- despite living under the same roof with a literal deity. Speaking of deity, his dad was out doing business again. What exactly was he doing this time? Sword had no idea, but it was probably something important for his dad to leave at such short notice- Being this morning.
He stretched his limbs and rolled his shoulders, easing the tension in his body a little from how long he had stayed seated.
"Sword! We got 13 minutes left! Are. You. READY?! We GOT to beat these guys' asses!"
The voice of his friend pulled him back to the screen. 12:48 until the match is over. . . THEY COULD DO THIS!
With rekindled fire in his eyes, his hand snatched a can of energy drink on his desk and promptly poured its contents into his mouth. Somehow, he didn't choke on them before he slammed the can down and repositioned his hands on the keyboard and mouse. 12 minutes! LET'S GOOOOOO-
His fingers aggressively pressed down on the buttons, and his fingers on the other hand equally aggressively clicked on the mouse as Sword locked the phuck in, his tongue sticking out as he focused on getting that ANNOYING camper on the second floor.
2 minutes in, his vision got weird. His desk and computer, their shape seemingly morphed and shifted as if they were waves in the ocean. Blinking his eyes, he tried to look away from the screen and tell his friend he may need a break- But instead, his body locked in its place. Not a muscle was moved.
What the-?!
His computer screen floated up to a few feet above his head, and his gaze followed. Sword's first thought at the phenomena was that Uncle Darkheart was playing a prank on him which made sense to him since he had been a victim of the mischievous deity's tricks a few times. Annoyed at the interruption in the middle of a gaming match, he tried to call him out. Yet, his mouth refused to move.
A startled yelp failed to escape from his mouth as the object flung forward into his face. Pain shot through his mind, but his mind had no time to register it as everything went back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
His eyes snapped open, and he jolted into an upright position from the soft grass he was lying on- Wait, grass? His room didn't have grass for a floor...
He was somewhere- He could see a bunch of wood walls scattered around, a white structure at the corner, and a stone castle. He could make out the fences that surrounded them, woods laid beyond them.
. . .
THIS WASN'T HIS ROOM.
Jumping onto his feet, he summoned his gear- the sword- into his hand and his fingers curled around the handle tightly.
Did he get kidnapped in his sleep??? Wait- Since when did he go to sleeepppppppp- THE COMPUTER!!
His free hand raised to touch his face. Sword didn't know what to expect besides his bleeding face, or a pain coming from it but... His face was fine??
Looking down at his face, he saw no blood or anything. Strange... he was sure getting hit in the face by a computer screen that hard would at least make his nose bleed... Or his face would be left stinging. Though, he shouldn't complain that he didn't feel any pain, right?
And where is Darkheart?? Maybe this wasn't a normal kidnap but another deity's prank??? He hoped so, but he started to doubt it with how much quiet this place was-
. . .
Nervously glancing around, he just noticed how quiet the place was... like dead quiet. No sound of birds, animals, bugs, or anything at all. It was almost as if they were hiding from a predator, and that thought worried him. The nighttime didn't help the matter either.
. . .
Time to call dad! He didn't want to deal with this- Actually, he should called his friends as well. Rocket must be worried sick.
Reaching his hand down into the pocket of casual clothes he wore, he felt nothing.
Blinking once, his hand reached into his other pocket. Same thing, nothing.
Then finally, his mind helpfully brought the image of his phone left on the gaming desk to his attention.
Absolutely perfect. He was stranded in SFOTH know where, and he was kidnapped by either his relative or someone else. With no way to communicate with anyone. He didn't even know how far away he was from civilization, not to mention he didn't have his wallet on him either, so public transit was out of option. Fantastic!
Surely, this couldn't get any worse.
A terrified girly shriek shattered the quiet from behind him, Sword snapped his head toward it with the sword in his hands. He raised his sword and his legs moved into a stance position as his ears picked up the rapid footsteps heading toward him. The noises were slightly muffled by his headphone.
And came out of the darkness was- An inphernoid creature. Their skin was yellow and had fur of the same color on top of their head, Sword could see a gash wound on their right arm as they clutched on it tightly, blood dripping out of it and leaving droplet trails on the ground behind.
They wore blue shirt and green pant too- But this detail wasn't too important.
The creature wasn't looking at Sword as they ran toward him, their gaze locked behind their shoulder. They turned their head to look forward and immediately skidded to a stop right in front of him, their eyes widened and terrified with tears seeping out of them. Their body uncontrollably shaking.
Both of them stayed silent, locked in a staring contest for what felt like forever.
It was Sword that moved first as he lowered his sword and raised his left hand to greet the creature.
"Uh- Hi?"
His voice and the way he awkwardly waved his hand seemed to have snapped the creature back into reality. They raised their hand and waved back at him in equally awkwardness if not more.
"H-hi?"
Thank the Swods, they knew common! Sword was worried there would be some sort of language barrier.
He perked up when there was a noise coming from behind the creature- It almost sounded like something just thrust itself into the ground...
The creature, recognizing that sound, grabbed Sword by his arm before they threw both of them to the ground beside them. Big black spikes erupted from the ground just a fraction of a second later! Red 0s and 1s lingered on the spikes.
Sword rolled onto his back and cried out, his eyes widened at the spikes. It could REALLY have ended badly for him!
"What the-?!"
Adrenaline pumped into his body, he pulled his headphones down onto his neck and then jumped onto his feet. Two hands clutched his gear tightly. Heavy footsteps rapidly approaching them.
"D-DON'T FIGHT HIM! J-JUST RUN!"
Yelled the creature as they scrambled onto their feet, pulling out a bloxy cola from seemingly nowhere as they chugged the entire drink within a few seconds.
Before Sword could question them, they already had bolted off into the darkness. Abandoned the inphernal to fend for himself.
Sweat beading down his forehead, he turned to look back at the incoming footsteps- JUST barely dodging the incoming attack inside as he leaped backward, watching the spike arm thing embed itself into the wooden wall. Scratch that- IT PHUCKING WENT THROUGH.
The attacking inphernoid pulled their spike arm out easily, leaving a giant gaping hole in its place, their glowing red eye stared Sword into his soul.
Seeing the opening and not wasting time by wondering why they were attacking him- He slashed his gear across their torso.
The inpernoid was knocked back only a few feet before they let out a very loud ANGRY roar into the sky. Enraged by Sword's attack.
Sword promptly turned around and bolted.
He may have failed to take hints from time to time, but this time? No, thank you- Nope! Just nope! Nuh-uh! No!
"WHAT THE PHUCK?! WHAT THE PHUCK?! WHAT THE PHUCK?!"
Sword screeched between his breath as he ran as fast as his legs would allow him to. He didn't even need to look behind him to know he was being chased. AND IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO HIM, CONSIDERING HOW LOUD THE HEAVY FOOTSTEPS WERE-
PAIN shot through his side, his eyes wincing from the pain as the spike arm slammed into him- sending him flying across the ground before his back collided with a stone pillar.
Sword only managed to let out a gasp instead of a cry of pain, his eyes wide open. Pressing hands on the ground, he pushed himself onto his wobbly legs and positioned his sword in front of him as the terrifying creature rushed at him.
CLANK!
He managed to block a swipe with his gear, but he didn't take the creature's strength into account and he was taken off guard as the sheer force of it sent the weapon flying out of his hands and embedded into the wall of the castle beside him.
With a yelp, he ducked down. The spike narrowly missed his horns.
Leaping out, he scrambled away from the creature.
But the creature wouldn't let him go that easy as they reached their hand out and grabbed Sword by the collar of his shirt- Then proceeded to slam him into the pillar for the second time.
Another pain shot through his body, this time coming from his belly as it took the full force of the impact this time, and it sent contents out of his mouth.
Looking up, he saw the creature reeled its arm back- readied to finish the job.
BANG!
They stumbled forward, their head looking down and bleeding.
Sword wiped his mouth and turned to look where the shot had come from..
There was another inphernoid creature. This time their skin was grey and dressed up in fancy black suit with shades and fedora, holding the smoking flintlock as they bore a confident smile.
The savior noticed him and they nodded their head as they tipped their hat at him.
They didn't stick around though as they turned their back on him and ran, followed by the enraged creature as they stomped after them.
Just like that. As fast as they had been taken away, peace and quiet returned.
Groaning and hissing from the pain, he sat up and leaned his back against the pillar- The decision he immediately regretted as even more pain shot through his body from the movement and the contact.
There was another footstep rapidly approaching him!
Alarmed, he de-summoned and summoned his sword into his hand and pointed the sharp tip directly at the yellow inphernoid in red shirt and black pants, with a red visor on its yellow furred head.
The creature stopped running toward him and raised their hands up to show that they were unarmed.
"WOAH! WOAH! CHILL!!! I'M HERE TO HELP!"
The creature took a few steps back, their eyes widened, before they looked down at his bleeding wound from the first hit. They lowered their left hand down and a slice of pizza was summoned into hand.
A pizza... Wait, these things have gears too?
"Look, buddy. I-I'm going to give you the pizza, and you're going to eat it alright? It can heal- I'm not lying. I don't know how but it can heal!"
Sword raised his eyebrow at them. It wasn't his first time hearing food gears can heal. Heck, he even had taken some before back when he was a newspawn... You could call him for being stupid for trusting food from a stranger, but he didn't want to leave his wound as it was!
"Ok... But- Just approach me, slowly."
The creature nodded their head and slowly crept closer to Sword with the pizza extended toward him.
Once they were close enough, Sword took the pepperoni from their hand and took one cautious bite at the food, his gaze never leaving Pizza (He was calling them by their gear).
. . .
By the Swords! It tasted delicious!
Without further thought, he happily stuffed the pepperoni into his mouth and chewed loudly, his wound slowly mended as the pain lessened. Not gone, but a lot better than before the pizza.
Sword let out a mix of happy and relieved sigh.
"Thank you."
"No problem! Just... making customers happy."
Pizza gave him a smile, albeit a weak and nervous one, before they handed their palm for him to grab.
Sword took their hand and he was pulled up onto his feet.
"Look... I know that you're new here since I have never seen you before... and I bet that you have a lot of questions! But uh-"
Pizza nervously glanced around the eerily quiet surroundings, and their smile faltered.
"I'm going to take you somewhere safe first, alright? Then I'll answer all of your questions. Sound good?"
Sword stared at them for a moment, his mind failing to find any reason to say no... Not that he wanted to anyway. He just wanted to be somewhere else besides wherever he was now.
With a nod of his head, he replied with a bit shaky voice.
"O-ok..."
Chapter 2
Summary:
The clock is ticking and it's 3 vs 1.
Also- Sword learnt that he was trapped there. That knowledge will sink in further later on when he isn't busy dying.
Notes:
I have a blast writing this chapter- So much that I wrote over 4,500 words xd. This is the longest piece of literature I have ever written in my life.
Anyway! I hope you enjoys!!

[SWORD]
Sword followed Pizza toward a ramp leading up to the top of the castle.
His eyes glanced around for any sign of danger, his hand clutching the sword tightly as the floor turned from grass to stone.
"Why... are we going up the castle? Shouldn't we get over the fences and get as far as possible?"
Sword asked and snapped his gaze back to Pizza. Without looking, Pizza shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. (Sword going to use a he/him on him, he looked like someone went with that pronoun.)
"We tried before but the invisible walls are keeping us trapped in this map."
"Invisible... walls?"
Sword glanced behind him and toward the fences. They were a bit hard to see in the darkness, but he could make out their shapes.
He doubted it, but he would try testing later. He didn't want to ditch a guy who may know what was going on and where he was.
From where he was, he could see a turret- it definitely was a turret of some kind with those big barrels and the way it looked around with beeping and whirling noises- at the gap between the battlements.
He felt a bit safer. Just a bit. Enough to ease his tension a little as his fingers slightly unfurled around the grip of his sword.
Once atop the castle, he saw three more hornless inphernoids.
The first was standing guard at the end of the ramp. They have pale skin just like Sword, and he would have mistaken them for one of his kind if they didn't have blue fur and hornless on top of their head.
They were a soldier if the uniform they were wearing wasn't misleading, and their eyes suggested they had seen some actions.
The Soldier nodded their head at Pizza before they turned their gaze on him and froze.
There was a look of surprise on their face before it changed to one of pity and sympathy, and then frowned with determination as their palms clenched into fits. Sword thought- He wasn't sure if he read their face right.
"Newcomer?"
The Soldier asked Pizza, to which the latter slowly nodded their head.
"Yeah..."
The second Inphernoid who was working on a generator behind the Soldier turned to look at them. The wires were still in their hands.
This one had grey skin not too similar to Flintlock but a bit darker. They reminded him of the Inphernals from the Lost Temple. They dressed up in a blackish-grey hoodie and he could make out a red shirt underneath them, and they wore a bright orange hard-helmet while a wrench and hammer decorated their toolbelt.
The Hard-Helmet stared at him for a moment before they looked down and narrowed their eyes at his wound. They then pointed at the other end of the castle.
"Go patch yourself up, newcomer."
It sounded like an order rather than a suggestion.
Sword turned to look where Hard-helmet had pointed and saw a machine thing spitting out pinkish-red particles into the air. Beside the dispenser(?) was the final third Inphernoid- This one he had already met, it was the same one who had told him to run away before ditching him.
They were sitting by the machine, their legs curled up to their chest and their arms wrapped around them, looking just as scared as when Sword first met them. Their body was still shaking as their wounds were very slowly mended by the particles.
Walking up and sitting beside Bloxxy Cola (assuming that was their name), Pizza stood in front of them before he cleared his throat.
"Alright so- Introduction!"
Pizza spoke with a forced cheery voice as his lips turned into a smile, his hands clapping together.
"Hi, I'm Elliot! The one beside you is Noob-"
Elliot gestured at Noob who flinched at the mention of their name. They gave Sword another wave, and he waved back again. Sword just realized Noob wasn't wearing a blue shirt- it was a hoodie. He didn't know how he messed that up the first time, but maybe it was because he was panicking and confused.
"And the Soldier is Guest, and the engineer guy is Builderman but you probably know him already since... he's pretty big news when he went missing a long while. And yes, this is where he has ended up."
Elliot motioned his hand toward the Soldier, Guest, and Hard-helmet, Builderman (fitting name. But he still had no idea who that was and how he was a big new-), as he turned to look at them. He then looked back at Sword, a smile still on his face.
"If you have any questions, please ask away, and I'll do my best to answer!"
Sword looked between the four of them, then back at Elliot. Millions of questions raced through his head (why did they have weird names was also one of them), and they almost overwhelmed him- He didn't even know what to ask first.
"W-what... are you guys?"
A question blurted out as his claw pointed at Elliot.
Elliot, a bit taken off guard by that question, looked at Noob and then the other two. Noob only shrugged his shoulders, while Guest already had their back turned on them as they stood guard at the ramp, and Builderman had resumed working on the generator. Sword wasn't sure why Builderman was working on it- it didn't seem to be connected to anything. Not even the turret and dispenser.
Elliot looked back at Sword and replied.
"We're... Robloxians?"
"What's a Robloxian?"
Sword quickly asked after he was answered, and again, Elliot was taken back.
"H-huh?"
Builderman paused what he was doing and turned to look at them with a raised eyebrow. Even Guest looked over their shoulder a bit to look at them.
Regaining his composure, Elliot coughed into his hand, and this time he was the one doing the asking.
"Do you know... Roblox?"
Sword paused for a moment. Yeah, he knew Roblox. A company that sold... stuff? He wasn't sure. He didn't bother to learn much about them. But Phights did occasionally take place in their offices.
"Yes, I do. It's a company. Why did you ask?"
Silence fell upon them for an uncomfortable moment. Sword sweated as he wondered if he had said anything wrong.
It was Noob who broke the silence.
"So... you are like Miss Madeline?"
Sword turned to look at Noob, his mouth slightly opened before another question blurted out from his mouth.
"Who's Miss Madeline??"
Elliot clasped his yellow hands together and brought them up to his nose before taking a deep breath. Sword could swear he almost heard 'Here we go again' in Elliot's head.
"Alright... uh-"
Elliot paused, seemingly trying to think and gather his words.
"Does your world have humans by any chance?"
"Humon? What? Excuse me??"
Sword was getting more questions and confused with each sentence. He thought he was going to get his answers, and not this!!
"Right... stupid question. Sorry about that."
Elliot rubbed the back of his head, or maybe scratched it, Sword couldn't see what he was doing back there from where he sat. Elliot took another breath and started explaining.
"Ok! Miss Madeline is from another world- Kinda similar to ours, but except all Robloxians are called humans there, and they all have brown or peach skin. Since you don't know what Robloxians are, I'm going to assume you're from another world as well, but not the same one as Miss Madeline- Back to the topic of Roblox, or also known as Robloxia, that's our world and where me, Noob, and Builderman came from."
Sword took a moment to process the info dump. Letting out a small 'oh' after he was finished.
ANOTHER WORLD? WORLDS?? HELLO?!
"So... I'm in Roblox right now?"
Elliot shook his head. And paused for a moment... then shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm not sure, but probably not."
Sword frowned and looked back down at his wounds. They were mostly healed, leaving behind his blood strain on his clothes and skin as the only evidence of their previous existence.
"Ahh.... Right! Ok... How do I get back home?"
Forget the other questions! Sword just wanted to go home above all things else. His dad and friends must be worried sick, and he didn't want them to keep waiting for him to return home.
After Sword stood up, he noticed the expression of the four survivors' faces changed.
Noob looked sad as he curled up into a ball further and buried his face into his arms. Guest frowned and looked away, and the grips on his arms tightened before they relaxed. Builderman's face darkened.
And Elliot... His smile was still there but it looked forced more than ever. Sweat forming on his face as his eyes darted their gaze away from Sword/
"Yo- you uh-"
Elliot stammered. Sword narrowed his eyes at him, and he had a feeling that he didn't like where it was going.
"You can't go home, we're all trapped here."
It was Builderman who broke the bad news to Sword as they fully turned away from the generator before he stood up and leaned against it. Sword snapped his head toward him, and his eyes widened.
"What do you mean I can't go home, and we're trapped here?!"
Sword felt his heart pounding against his chest, a bead of sweat rolling down his face, and his fingers tightly curled around the grip of his gear.
"As I said, we're trapped here. There's no way to escape this hell that we know of. We can't walk out of the maps either because of the invisible walls and whenever we somehow do, we'll be teleported back here. Death isn't an escape either."
He stood up as Builderman walked toward him after they slammed their fist on the generator and it came to life. As they crept closer, he just noticed how short they were to him. They were barely taller than his shoulder.
He shook his head, trying to focus back on the present, and most importantly- what did he mean death isn't an escape?
"W-what do you mean death isn't an escape?"
They couldn't be meaning what he was thinking, right? SFOTH, please they couldn't be meaning that-
They sighed and shook their head before looking up at him again.
"Every time we die, we're brought back. No matter what the cause of death is or how unrecognizable our bodies have become- Head gone? Limbs twisted? Cut into fine pieces? Doesn't matter. We'll come back and die all over again sooner or later."
Sword's mouth was hung open again, and his mind trying to ignore the crisis it was soon going to experience- He wasn't exactly worried about deaths and revives. He had died plenty of times and was brought back to life in Phighting matches thanks to the respawning technology and Ghostwalker on occasions back home. He was ok with it since he was getting paid (It's phucking good), and he still got to go home afterward.
Here? SOMEONE was using it to keep him here.
He was a bit relieved that if he died here, it wouldn't be permanent but- Someone was abusing this technology and now they had him in whatever sick experiment they were doing with a bunch of other people (Who weren't even the same species as him) and whatever that red-eye thing was!
His mind went overdrive, trying to figure out who could be doing this to time and why- Then he remembered he may be in another world and all of his suspects may not have anything to do with it.
Countless more theories were made and ditched as he struggled to rationalize what the phuck was going on. Failing to notice Elliot had snapped his head away from them with a worried look on his face.
"CHANCE'S IN TROUBLE!"
Yelled Elliot, startling the hell out of Sword and he totally didn't let out an 'EEK!?' and jumped a bit as he turned to look at him. Elliot's eyes were glowing yellow, sweat beading down his face as he pointed his yellow clawless finger to somewhere away from the castle.
"And he's coming in hot!"
Guest leaned forward, his hand gripping the battlement, at where they were, and narrowed his eyes toward where Elliot was pointing. Their eyes then widened before they shouted at the rest of the group.
"HE GOT THE KILLER HOT ON HIS TAIL! YOU ALL STAY HERE, I WILL GO HELP HIM!"
With that, they ran down the ramp to presumably help whoever Chance was. Then there was a red and yellow blur of Elliot as he rushed after them, pizza in his hand.
"ELLIOT WAIT-"
Builderman reached their hand out, but they were far too late as he was already gone. They sprinted toward where the ramp started, their hand on the battlement beside it, and their face frowned.
Sword gripped his gear with both of his hands, pointing it where the two had run off- It didn't take a genius to make a connection between the word 'Killer' and that monster he had encountered a minute or so ago- as he was expecting that thing to appear there at any moment.
He heard a footsteps behind him. Turning to look over his shoulder, he found Noob was hiding behind his back. Their entire body was shaking with fear as they glanced up at him with teary eyes.
Having a good look at them again... Sword realized they looked awfully young. Much younger than he was.
Oh Swords, was this a child?
"How old are you?"
Noob flinched before they looked at Sword. There was a moment of hesitation before they stuttered out.
"I-I'm 16..."
Sword felt his heart skipped a bit- This was a child.
They were just 8 years younger than him.
Then there was this feeling- a protective feeling over the child that felt the urge to comply.
"We'll be fine. Just stay behind me, alright?"
Sword spoke and raised his sword in front of him as he turned his gaze forward. Any normal Inpheral wouldn't even care about a stranger, let alone a child that wasn't their own but- Sword wasn't exactly normal as his heart was guided by a desire to help others.
Footsteps.
Elliot's body appeared as he climbed up the ramp with another Robloxian leaning on him for support as their right arm wrapped around his neck.
Sword remembered that one! It was the game guy who had saved him earlier with their flintlock!! They looked REALLY in bad shape.
The left side of their torso looked phucked with that deep wound in it as blood came gushing out. A grey hand pressing against it seemed to do little help.
"Hey there kiddo-"
The injured Robloxian greeted Sword, doing a little wave with his right hand, while Builderman rushed to their left side and helped Elliot carry him over to the two- Where the dispenser was.
BEEP!
The turret let out an alarmed beep and their barrels snapped down the ramp. There were flashes of yellow and orange, complete with a series of round bangs as the machinery shot toward the incoming threat down below.
Builderman ditched the two and came to stand beside Sword's side with a hammer in their hand, nervously and tightly gripping it.
Sword got into his stance and readied for round 2. Silently gulping his saliva that had gathered in his mouth.
The turret had stopped firing- Maybe they had gone away, or-
The moment he saw that head with one red eye poking above the horizon, he gritted his teeth and slashed his sword into the air, sending Blade Beam right into the monster's chest just as it took a step on top of the castle.
"Hahaha! Take that!"
Sword grinned and secured his grip on the gear. The monster let out an angry roar. They were pissed. Double pissed. If Sword failed to know that, then he would have known it when they looked directly at him with fiery eyes that promised him nothing but a world of pain and suffering.
Maybe...
He thought as his face was sweating bullets.
Maybe he shouldn't have done that-
The monster sprinted toward him with their left claw hand reaching directly for his face. Sword raised his gear, readied to encounter their attack all while doing his best not to pause and wonder why there was a black symbol of Spawn Point surrounding and spinning around the monster.
Builderman intervened, stepping in front of him and swinging their hammer toward the monster's face, and it struck right into their cheek! Causing them to halt completely!!!
But it did absolutely no damage- The monster didn't look bothered by that strike at all as they angrily glared down at Builderman before sending them flying past Sword with a strike of their spike arm. There was a loud crash when Builderman collided with the dispenser, promptly destroying the machine on the spot. Followed by a thud when their body crashed into the battlement.
Elliot froze a moment, the injured Robloxian nomming on his pizza tugged him on his arm before pointing down at the second ramp behind Sword and Noob. He only nodded his head before he quietly and hurriedly led the wounded down.
Leaving only just him, Builderman, and Noob- Oh, never mind. They just ran after the two...
Now, there was only him and Builderman left on top of the castle- if he didn't count the sentry, but it seemed to be currently useless now that the monster wasn't in its range, or maybe vision?
No time to think!
Sword leaned backward, dodging the strike from the monster, before he straightened his back and jabbed his gear's pointy tip into their torso a few times. His gear refused to dig into the flesh, it wasn't hard or his sword dull either- it just refused to dig into it!
His eyes widened, and he dodged more attacks from them.
Left- Right- Left-
He dodged each of them as they swiped at him with both claw hand and spike arm.
Seeing another one coming, he leaped to the monster's right side as they slammed their spike arm down on where he was.
Not giving up, he swung his sword up, and then vertically, slashing their chest twice- Again, his gear caused no harm to the creature.
He took another step back, his morale shaken by the futile of his attacks- And stunned long enough for him to take a hit at his right side, sending him flying and then sliding across the stony ground toward the ramp near the turret.
He let out a pained hiss as both of his hands pushed against the ground, his eyes wincing from the bruises and the bleeding wound.
There was a pair of boots in front of him. Looking up, he saw a white hand offered for him to grab. He did and he was pulled onto his feet by Guest.
"He's invincible when there is a spawn symbol around him."
They said as they gently pushed Sword aside and stood in front of him, both of their hands clenched into fists and raised in front of them in an orthodox (boxing) stance.
Glancing back at the monster, Sword saw that the symbol had begun to vanish until there was nothing.
With a fire inside him, he stood up and wobbled on his legs before he managed to balance himself. Ignoring all the pains and aches his body was experiencing, he raised his sword again. He wouldn't be going down easy.
Without further ado, the monster rushed toward them and left behind a trail of inky substance on the ground, red codes lingering on them. However, they couldn't take more than a few steps before-
"I SHOULD HAVE TERMINATED YOUR ACCOUNT LONG AGO!"
They halted after Builderman jumped onto their back. Builder's left hand clutched onto the monster's shoulder for dear life as they swung their hammer down onto their head repeatedly.
The monster grabbed them by their hand and slammed Builderman down onto the hard ground in front of them. They raised their foot and were about to bring it down and crush the survivor's head, but Guest charged into them- Successfully knocking the monster a few feet away from the downed Builderman before they helped them up.
"Get out of here! Your hammer doesn't do much against this guy!"
Ordered Guest after they pushed Builderman behind them and threw his left hand backward- signaling for them to get away. To which, Builderman yelled back at him.
"I have the same job of protecting others as you do, soldier!"
Sword rushed forward, seeing his chance to do some damage when the monster staggered from that charge, and swung his gear at them.
"GOT YOU-"
They took a step backward, and his swing missed entirely- His eyes caught a glimpse of the incoming spike arm. He leaned to his side hard, changing from getting directly hit to just getting grazed on his right arm, and tried to circle to their back since he saw it was left undefended.
Being disgusted at the exposed spine aside, he readied his sword, but before he could swing it- His foot stepped on something and suddenly his entire body was in pain as the substance from the trail quickly spread up along his leg and covered the entire surface of his body.
It hurt! It felt like Subspace's poison, but his outside was on fire rather than the inside!
Another incoming strike forced Sword to take steps backward before they turned to face him.
He hissed at them, his eyes wincing from the pain as he tried to endure it and focused his attention on the opponent. His breath was ragged, his left hand pressing against his chest, feeling his heart pounding against it, and he did his best to calm down. Thankfully, they gradually faded away.
Focus, he reminded himself and steadied his sword with one hand.
The monster swung their spike arm at him again, but this time Guest suddenly jumped in front of him and phucking BLOCKED the attack with their arms.
Sword's mouth was left open in amazement and awe- even more when Guest clenched his fist and hit the monster squad in the face which forced them to back off and hold their face with a claw hand in pain.
"NICE PUNCH!!! Can you teach me how to do that?"
Sword grinned at the soldier, who turned to briefly look at him, and their eyebrows furrowed.
"After we survive this, sure. Now get ready."
The monster pulled their hand away, having recovered from the attack, and that same black Spawn symbol appeared around them again.
Sword steadied his breath and pointed his gear at them. Just then... it was quiet, but he could hear it in his head.
Tick... Tock... Tick...
He didn't know why, but he just knew that if the three of them could hold off the monster long enough for 30 seconds, they would 'win' this round.
That knowledge was kindling to the fire inside him. He was determined to live.
The monster leaped forward, and both he and Guest managed to dodge the attack by leaping to their respective side.
A wrench flew across the castle and hit the monster in the back of his head, earning their attention as they turned to look at who had dared to do it.
It was Builderman, who stood beside the turret, with a hammer still in his hand and a determined look on his face.
The monster stomped toward them, ditching their attention on the two annoying fighters, and headed straight for the weakest of them. The moment they reached a certain range though- the turret came to life and snapped its barrels at them.
BEEP!
After the alarmed beep, it started firing rounds at them. Bullets didn't faze them at all, but they were still slowed down by it- Just enough that Builderman managed to leap out of harm's way when they swiped at them.
Builderman scrambled toward the two as Guest rushed to help them up. Sword though-
He saw an opening as the monster was distracted by the turret now that it was right beside them, swinging their spike arm at the machine and shattering it into pieces within two hits.
Sword rushed forward, not making the mistake of stepping on the trail again, and slammed his gear and body into the monster- sending them off the edge and onto the grassy floor below.
"HAHAHA! How do you like that!"
Sword laughed and pointed at them- and his smile was gone immediately when they got up like nothing happened and started climbing up the ramp again. However, their Spawn protection thing was gone now.
"HE'S COMING!"
He yelled at the two, and Guest quickly came to stand by his side, and the both of them got ready at the end of the ramp.
15 seconds remaining.
Sword slashed his gear at the rushing monster, but they dodged it by leaning to their right- Next, they swung their claw hand at him, and Guest grabbed it with his bare hand and punched them in the face again!
They recoiled back with a growl of pain.
9 seconds remaining-
Guest took a hit from the spike arm as it slashed across their chest, forcing them to stumble backward. Sword quickly covered them by jabbing his gear at the monster's red eye.
It did no damage- but they seemed to feel that when they covered their eye with their hand- Ouchy.
5 seconds.
Sword blew raspberry at them, feeling very confident now that the time was nearing the end, as he stepped away from another attack. Pissing off the monster even more.
Then a hammer flew past him and hit them in the face. Their eyes twitched, and their gaze landed on Builderman whose face still remained serious. With an angry roar- they pushed Sword and Guest aside and reached their hand at them and...
Time up.
Sword felt his grasp of reality melted away, and the darkness consumed everything.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gasping and staggering on his feet, Sword's body wobbled before he managed to regain balance- All the while trying to push aside the very uncomfortable feeling of forcefully being taken from one place to another through the fabric of reality.
Was he exaggerating on that last part? Maybe.
He looked around and noticed a few things right away. First, he was no longer in whatever that place was- He was in some kind of a cabin. A very BIG and spacious cabin.
Second, there were a lot of people around him- None of them was inphernal, but he recognized most of them. Noob, Elliot, Guest, Builderman, and that flintlock guy was here too.
Third- There was a guy with spiky fur on their head glaring at him. When Sword was about to ask them why, they suddenly pulled out their dagger and yelled.
"DEEMOONNN!!!"
Then, they proceeded to lunge at him with the dagger high above their head and in a reverse grip.
OH SH-!!!
Notes:
HEADCANONS TIME!!!!
- Builder Brothers' pizza place is the equivalent of Waffle House. They will always stay open 24/7 regardless of the disasters happening around them or not.
They RARELY close. Not even closing during holidays.
- The workers of Pizza Place do get a good bonus to their paycheck if they come to works during disaster events or holidays.
- Sword learnt some of the fencing techniques from his dad. He usually uses them when he doesn't want to be near someone he's fighting against.
Fun note about this chapter!
- I planned to have Builderman died- Guest too and then followed by Sword as Last Man Standing. But damn it, I want a cool fight scene. (I also remembered when writing the scene that since John had yet to kill anyone, he didn't have a lot of time left.)
Fun note from previous chapter!
- I rolled a wheel to see whether Chance's gun explode or not when he saved Sword. He was lucky that time.
- Yes, I will use the wheel again whenever Chance uses his gun in the future.
Thank you for reading this. And if there are any misspellings or a mistake- Please tell me, I tend to miss them even when I read the story thrice xd.
Chapter 3: Watching. Laughing. Plotting. It wants more.
Summary:
A father returns to an empty home.
Sword shouldn't have thought about a dear friend.
Notes:
Sorry that this chapter took me a while! I'm returning to college soon- like tomorrow soon, so I have less time to work on this fic xd.

Chapter Text
[??? / Home]
It was awfully quiet at home.
Thought the father as he closed the door behind him. It had been a long day for him, but his business with a friend was now done, and he could spend time with his son again.
It felt like yesterday when he first adopted his son- He was so small and precious the day he found him. Violent, yet so... vulnerable at the same time. Not unlike the other newspawns of the Inphernal.
Now... His son was strong. Much stronger than he ever hoped for him to be when he took him under his wing.
Yes, there were still many things for him to learn and many more training he needed to go through. But he was proud of how far he had come from as a small child who was scared of the world.
His son had accomplished many things-
Becoming an official Phighter, for example.
Slowly climbing up the stairs, the door to his son's room came into his view. Through the door, there was muffled music coming out from the inside. He recognized it as a theme of a game his son loved to play with his friends.
While it wasn't unusual for his son to play games without headphones, the lack of yelling was.
It was an immediate red flag for the father as he stood before the door, slowly raising his hand to it.
He paused for a moment, waiting to hear anything else from inside the room besides the theme music. There was none.
Sucking his breath and holding it, his hand clenched into a fist and knocked on the door thrice.
Nothing.
His heart began to pound harder against his chest. His hand lowered to the door knot before they gripped around the object and twisted-
The door opened to reveal the unoccupied room. The computer screen still showed the game, and his son's phone was left on the desk right beside the keyboard. Another red flag is that his son rarely leaves his phone alone.
"Rocket?"
----------------------------------------------------------
[Sword]
"TWO TIME! CUT IT OUT, MAN!"
Peace (mostly) returned to the cabin as 4 men (White shirt guy, Pumpkin-head guy, Builder, and Guest) held them down.
Two Time, not Dagger. Weird name.
Thought Sword as he sat on a chair (the only thing left unturned from the brief ordeal- Sword running around and knocking practically everything over as the knife guy chased after him) beside the grandfather clock and munched on the given pizza. His stabbed and sliced wounds slowly healed. A sigh escaped from his mouth as the pain eased, and his body slumped down on the cushioned chair.
His blood ruined the cushion, and from the look of it, it would be a nightmare to clean. Sword hoped he wouldn't be the one cleaning it.
"I'm so sorry! My friend here isn't usually like this-"
Pizza/Elliot apologized as he repeatedly and rapidly bowed at him. With sweat still beading down his forehead, Sword smiled at him and waved at him dismissively.
"I-It's alright!"
It wasn't. That guy tried to kill him! At least they got him under control now.
Glancing back at Two Time, the guy was tied up with a rope, and a guy with the white shirt was sitting on their back, ensuring that they wouldn't be going anywhere near him soon even if they did somehow get off the rope.
When and where did they find a rope to tie him down? Sword didn't know, nor did he care.
Sword flinched when he felt a hand resting on his shoulder. Looking up, he was faced with the Fedora guy, the very same one who had saved him with that flintlock of his, who was smiling confidently and brightly at him.
"You did good work out there, kiddo!"
Flintlock patted his shoulder as he chuckled and his smile brightened. A golden coin was on his right hand before his thumb flicked it upward with a noticeable clink sound, and then the thing landed back down.
A tail.
His smile faltered at that before turning his attention back to Sword and the smile brightened once again. Another clink could be heard from the coin, but Sword's attention wasn't on the object this time.
"Uhh... Thank you?"
Sword nervously smiled back at him. This guy seemed very nice and friendly, he thought to himself as his mind tried to drown out the threats coming out of Two Time's mouth.
"Hahaha! I should be thanking you! Seriously, you fought that guy off with the others so well that NO ONE died that round- And that rarely happens! I even dare say your sword skill is on par with that admin at his prime."
Sword turned to look where Flintlock was pointing with his thumb- and at the white shirt guy sitting on the still-struggling Two Time. He almost recoiled from the glaring he was receiving from him, a chill running through his spine. What the hell was wrong with him?
"Wait- Did you watch that fight?"
He turned to ask Flintlock. Surely, he must have been watching him during the fight. He doubted there was enough time for Builderman or Guest to tell him since they were busy trying to restrain the crazy stabby guy a moment ago.
"We did!"
Flintlock replied as he reached his arm out, wrapped it around Elliot's neck, and pulled the pizza guy closer to him.
"We were watching you from the ramp we took- I was going to help you guys, but someone wouldn't allow me to."
For the first time- Elliot frowned and huffed at Flintlock. Then, he gently shoved him away.
"Dude. You had 10 tails and only 1 head. I can't risk you going out and hurting yourself again-"
Flintlock pressed his index finger against Elliot's lips, shutting him up.
Elliot's eyes twitched, clearly irritated at him, and Flintlock merely widened his smile in response.
"FOUL DEMON, YOU WILL BE SLAI-"
Two Time screeched again and was immediately cut off by Elliot who snapped at them with his hands gesturing at Sword.
"OH MY GOD, Two Time! This horned fella is not a demon!"
"I am a demon."
Sword corrected him and regretted his decision as everyone turned their gaze on him, even the hornless cat! Oh SWORDS! They had a cat here, and it looked sooo CUTE-
"Excuse me?"
Right- He had a bigger thing he needed to focus on...
He wanted to disappear at the moment as he squirmed under their gazes. It took him a good moment to regain his composure and try to explain.
"You see. I'm an Inphernal, but my kind also have this other name; demons."
The silence was deafening as each survivor processed the information, except for Two Time who seemed to be more ticked off. They somehow squeezed themself out from under the white shirt Robloxian and started flopping toward him like a fish on land.
Sword yanked his legs off the ground just in time to avoid the snapping teeth of the crazy Robloxian once they were close enough.
Flintlock, who was quick to recover from the shock, grabbed Two Time by their legs and pulled them away. Two Time growled as he was dragged far away from Sword and up the stairs.
Seriously... what is wrong with them?
Builderman cleared his throat and caught everyone's attention, and they all turned to look at him. His eyebrows furrowed down and eyes glared at Sword- Not unlike the one Inphernals had when they were either trying to figure out if he was a threat, or didn't like him.
Sword didn't know which one he'd prefer.
"Elliot... Why don't you show the newcomer where he'll be sleeping for tonight?"
Eliot blinked once before quickly nodded his head. His smile returned once more as he turned to face Sword, hand extending out to him.
"Come on! I'll be showing other places as well!"
Sword grabbed his hand and was immediately pulled to his feet, stumbling as Elliot dragged him toward the door. Leaving the rest of the survivors to group up and start talking. Unfortunately, he couldn't catch what they were saying since they were already far out of his earshot.
----------------------------------------------------------
Outside, it was cold and... He wouldn't say scary, but the atmosphere gave off an eerie vibe. A bunch of cabins at the lakeside, deep in the woods... the perfect setting for horror movies.
It was pretty dark too. There were only a few lanterns around to illuminate the path and surrounding areas. Fortunately, it wasn't that much of a problem thanks to his Inphernal eyes.
There were people outside as well. He could see two Robloxians and a fish with a pair of legs (??) talking to each other near the small cabin he and Elliot were approaching, and another pair of Robloxians dressed up in construction worker uniforms standing near the boarded pathway with cake creature on the other side, seemingly trying to get inside.
As Sword walked after Elliot toward the cabin near the lake, he couldn't help but notice something very eye-catching right beside the building.
It was a community board. It was filled with all kinds of papers and advertisements, but most of them were missing posters. Some of which had the people he knew here on them.
He approached the structure and ripped out a missing poster from it.
MISSING!
Have you seen this Robloxian?
The Robloxian in the picture was Elliot without a doubt. He looked so carefree and happy as he held out a box of pizza.
Sword read the rest of the paper.
Name: ELLIOT
Height: 5'8
Appearance: Yellow Robloxian in red Pizza Place uniform. Have a red visor.
Misc: The mascot of Builder Brothers' Pizza.
Last seen on his scooter, delivering pizza. On 20 April 2015.
"It's... you."
Sword mumbled and turned to face the missing person, who just for a moment seemed... sad, only to brighten up the moment his gaze was on him.
"Hahaha! Yeah... it's me! Everyone here gets theirs. Usually 2 days after we arrive here..."
Elliot replied with a smile on his face, saying it like it was the most usual thing around here. Sword's hands shook slightly as his grip on the paper tightened, ruining the smooth surface as wrinkles formed.
"And who... put these up?"
Sword regretted asking that out without thinking, and Elliot's smile dropped slightly. The Robloxian gave him a slow unsure shrug.
"Probably... our friends and family are the ones that put these up and... they got here somehow."
"Oh..."
He could feel his heart skip a beat. His dad must be home by now and freaking the hell out, wondering where he was. He could only pray the deity didn't level the entire Crossroad while frantically looking for him and didn't turn feral.
That was the last thing ANYONE would want...
Both of them went back to the small cabin, their original destination, and entered it.
It was nothing fancy, but livable and a bit cozy in his view at least. There were a fireplace and two chairs to his right, and a bed to his left.
A bed without a blanket and pillow.
Wha....
"We give blankets and pillows to the people sleeping on the floor. Unfortunately, there are not enough beds for everyone. Sorry."
Elliot explained from behind. Turning around, Sword could see an apologetic look on his face.
Sword quickly raised both of his hands and waved them dismissively as his face kept a smile on.
"It's alright!"
He sat down on the bed and almost winced at how painfully stiff the mattress was. Before he even could open his mouth to comment about it, Elliot spoke.
"The floor and the couches are so much worse. Trust me..."
"Oh..."
Kicking his shoes off, he pulled his legs onto the bed and just... did his best to be comfortable. Yeah, he doubted he would get a good rest with this thing.
"Do you have a hammock?"
He asked Elliot, hoping that they had one somewhere around here. Sadly, his hope was immediately smashed into pieces when Elliot shook his head.
"We don't have that."
*Dang it!*
Thought Sword as he let out a quiet sigh, inaudible to the Robloxian. Oh well, he would have to make do with this mattress.
. . . Or perhaps he could ask to sleep on a couch instead on the off chance that it was more comfortable- Nah. . . He would take Elliot's words that the bed was better than the couches.
"I'll go help others clean up the main cabin now, and the dinner is in an hour! Feel free to come to the kitchen and grab some bites."
Dinner? That sounds good. SFOTH, he was getting a bit hungry now at the thought. Just a bit. The pizza he had eaten earlier was still in him.
"Alright! See you later, dude!"
Sword waved goodbye at Elliot with a smile on his face, who returned the same gesture as he walked out of his view. Only to lean backward into the view again-
"By the way, that death round was the last of today. We're free to do whatever for the remaining 12 hours or so. Byyee!"
With that, Elliot left for real.
Huh... 12 hours of free time? Well- not 12 hours of free time if you subtract it from the time he had to sleep. That would leave 4 hours, or more if he sleeps less.
But still, he had 12 hours before he would be forced into a round again. Would everything go 'well' as it did in his first? He highly doubted it since according to Fintlock, 'that rarely happens.'
Shaking his head, he tried to get a rest and not think too hard as he turned onto his side and felt something pressing against his head. Oh, right. He still had his headphones on.
Sitting up and putting his feet down on the floor, he grabbed his headphones and took it off. The only thing he had left from his home, not counting his clothes. It was a gift from Rocket after his old one broke.
Rocket...
He must be so pissed at and worried for him right now. He knew he would get yelled at by his best bud once he returned-
Saying something like...
'Where the phuck were you?! You made me worried sick, asshole!'
He couldn't help but smile fondly at his friend's voice in his head. Despite his friend's occasional harsh words, he knew he meant well, and sometimes his friend was just like that. Rocket did have a rough life back when he was living in Playground.
Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and focused on the fond memories of their time together. There have been ups and downs throughout their life, but they always had each other. Always together.
And he sure as hell wouldn't let whatever the phuck this realm was change it.
He WILL get back home one way or another. He will see his friends and family again. Sooner or later.
A chill ran down his spine, and his entire body shivered as he could partially feel something in the air. He felt like he was being watched, and it was watching him with-
Amusement.
Sadistic amusement.
Gasping, Sword jumped out from his bed, hung his headphones around his neck, and quickly summoned his gear. His eyes frantically glanced around the small cabin he was in. He saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"Who's there?!"
He called out, and his grip on the weapon tightened. His heart was rapidly pounding against his chest so hard he heard it.
Nothing responded.
Its presence vanished just as fast as it had appeared.
He stood there with the gear in his hand, stiffened as a statue even when the source of discomfort was gone. The cabin no longer felt as cozy as it once was.
He felt extremely unsafe.
With a shaky breath, and acting on instinct, he quickly moved toward the door, partially slamming it open on his way out, startling the hell out of the three bystanders in the process. He tumbled down onto the soft grassy floor and wasted no time in crawling away a few feet from the shelter before he stopped.
Rolling onto his butt, Sword stared at the cabin- his mind filtering out other things as the bystanders approached him, worried- and all his focus was on it.
What the phuck was that?!
What the phuck is this hell-
Notes:
Headcanon!!
Every skin from the Forsaken Store is their own characters. Each and every one of them are trapped in this hell. Separated by thing by walls of reality and dimensions. Each group has their own Cabin.
Some may find ways to traverse their prison. Meeting another version of them. The Survivors had already meat theirs.
Sword will meet his eventually. One day.

Chapter Text
"Are you feeling better now?"
The Robloxian with a burger hat asked from where he sat beside Sword. Currently, the four of them were sitting on the dock at the lake.
"Y-yeah."
Sword nodded his head, his arms still hugging himself, the paranoia and anxiety still lingering, but he was noticeably doing better than a few moments ago now - all thanks to the two Robloxians- and the fish.
"Gleeb!"
The fish thing nuzzled against the side of his torso before Sword carefully patted its head with his clawed hand. He couldn't help but let a tiny smile form on his face.
Cute.
That single word echoed throughout his head as he kept giving it pats.
A chuckle from the other side caught his attention, and he turned to face the second Robloxian dressed in a grey shirt. He was called Desmund if Sword remembered correctly.
"Glebus is a cute little thing, isn't it?"
Sword quickly nodded his head, his smile widening and allowing his sharp teeth to be shown.
"Yeah! They're soooo adorable too!"
The tension he once had largely left him at this point as the two continued to show the fish their affection. Eventually, though, Sword pulled his hand away from its head and settled it on his lap.
"Thank you again for... calming me down, guys."
"Anytime, dude! It's the least we non-participants can do for you guys."
Desmund clenched his fist and held it up for a classic fist-bump. Sword reluctantly clenched his hand and bumped it.
Holy Firebrand, did he just acquire a new friend? OH SFOTH. HE HAD ANOTHER FRIEND NOW-
He felt like he was going to explode with excitement right now! Never mind the fact that his new friend wasn't an inphernal but a different species entirely!!
Wait, hold up. What did he mean when he said 'non-participant'?'
"What do you mean by non-participant?"
He asked without a second thought. Desmund and the burger guy looked at each other, and then back at him.
"Oh. . . A lot of the people here don't play the death games like me and you."
The burger hat guy spoke, pressing a hand against his chest, and then gestured at Sword. Desmund nodded his head and quickly added.
"But we're trapped here like you. Forced to stay in this cabin ground for who knows how long now..."
"Oh. . ."
Sword turned away and looked at the lake with furrowed eyebrows, pulling one of his knees up to his chest and leaving the other to dangle over the edge. He supposed it was nice that not everyone here had to go through what he had barely an hour ago.
He loved a good fight and the rush that came with it, not as much as Rocket or any other Phighters may have, but he would rather fight in Phighting matches.
"What... is this place?"
Sword asked the two and turned to face them. He didn't give them a chance to reply as more questions poured out of his mouth.
"W-what the hell was that thing I fought against in the round? How did you guys get here? How long have you been here? A-and... also other worlds? Are you all aliens? Wait, I'm the alien here. A-and-"
"Whoa! Woah! Slow down! One question at a time, please."
The burger guy spoke as he raised both of his hands and gestured 'Calm down!' at Sword. The poor guy didn't expect to get bombarded with questions suddenly.
There was a pause before he took a deep breath and started to answer Sword's question one by one.
"Ok- Uh... This is the cabins, a location where we rest after every round. I don't know who you're asking about since I wasn't in that round. And I..."
The burger guy looked uncomfortable- no, more than that, as he squirmed and seemingly tried not to think about whatever he had thought- before he continued.
"I don't know how I got here."
It felt like a lie to Sword, but he didn't press on. Not that he had the chance to open his mouth and ask about it anyway, as the guy was already moving on to answering other questions.
"I don't know how long I have been here."
"But for me, I do. I have been here for a few months or so now."
Desmund chipped in, and the burger guy nodded his head. Sword felt a drop in his chest. MONTHS?! At least it wasn't years, BUT STILL. MONTHS!?!
He took a deep breath and exhaled... and he repeated it, over and over, each time his breath growing shorter and shorter as his hand clutched his chest. The only thought he could think about was his friends and family.
He couldn't stay here for that long!
Just as Sword was about to stand upright and make a mad dash to the forest in futile hope of escaping, the thoughts about the invisible wall having vanished from his mind, he felt a hand on his shoulder.
His body flinched from the touch, and his head snapped back to the burger guy.
"Whoa- Kid! Calm down!! Slowly breathe! In... and out."
The burger guy loudly took in a deep breath, his hand raised close to his mouth, and his pointer and thumb connected in an 'O' shape. Then he exhaled, his hand now gesturing away from his mouth. He repeated it a few times for Sword to follow.
And Sword did just that. It was working again. The first time was when he was panicking after the whole... something in the cabin thing.
"T-thank you."
Sword managed to stammer out a response after he regained enough composure. Today was really not his fun day.
"Sorry, I- I'm still trying to process all of this. One moment I was home a-and-"
"It's fine, kid. Many people here had a similar reaction to you. Some arguably worse."
Sword slowly nodded his head before he looked back at the lake, trying to distract his mind from the fact that he was stranded here and would remain here for a long time.
He couldn't.
He wanted a walk. Maybe it could help, and he would be able to explore the cabins as well... and getting to know more people around here couldn't hurt him.
He slowly stood up from the edge of the pier, being careful not to lose his balance and fall into the icy water below. He turned his attention to the two robloxians and Gleus.
"Thank you for helping me calm down, guys... and talk to me. It's nice to talk with you two! But I want to take a walk... to clear my mind."
Both of them nodded their head, even Glebus too. Desmund smiled and gave Sword a small goodbye wave.
"Sure thing, and see you later, dude! We'll be here if you need help with anything. Well... Everyone here will help you if you ask, I'm sure of it. They're all kind and nice! But we're here if you want to talk to us specifically."
Sword nodded his head, returning the smile and the wave back at Desmund. He turned around- only to turn back again when he remembered something, his gaze landing on the burger guy.
"Before I go! I don't think you've told me your name yet."
The burger guy blinked once. Twice. And then thrice- He only snapped out of his trance when Desmund lightly tapped him with his elbow.
"I'm 007n7."
Oh, wow. That's an even weirder name. Probably the weirdest one he had ever heard here. That one felt like it was a robot name rather than a person.
Sword thought to himself, but he maintained his smile and nodded his head at 07. With a final wave at the man, he finally turned and walked away from the trio. Not without chirping out-
"See you around!"
Once he was finally out of earshot, Desmund turned to 007n7 with a grin on his face and a thumb pointing at the forsaken adventurer.
"He seems like a cheerful guy to be around!"
"Yeah... he does."
007n7 looked down at the reflection below him, watching the reflection of himself staring back. His mind slowly wandered off... dwelling on the same old topic he couldn't move on from. Desmund frowned, having been around the hacker long enough to know when he started to think about his son again.
Not wanting him to be unresponsive again, nor to dwell on the hurtful past, he blurted out the first question in his head as he looked up to the starless night sky above him.
"Do you think he knows who you are?"
That did the trick. The hacker snapped out of his trance for the nth time, his eyes slightly widened before he shook his head.
"No. I don't think so, and honestly? I'm glad he doesn't."
The more people forget about him, the better. He had long since left that destructive life and all the frame he earned from it behind.
"But... Others will tell him, and he won't be coming anywhere near me."
----------------------------------------------------------
[Builderman]
The cabin was loud tonight. Most of the survivors and non-participants were talking about the latest survivor. The air was filled with talk about his abilities, how he went up against the killer, and how he was supposedly a demon.
Builderman listened at his booth, his foot tapping against the ground and his hands intertwined as he held them in front of his face.
The more he thought about it, the more apparent it was that Sword wasn't one. Not a traditional one in a sense. Yes, he had horns, clawed hands, and sharp teeth, but those were the only physical traits he shared with the hellish demons. Personality-wise? Polar opposite. Too friendly and not aggressive enough.
He got jumped by a cultist, and he didn't turn them into a gore mess. Instead, he ran around the room, shrieking like a lady. Either he was pretending to be pathetic and helpless, or he was just a normal Robloxian with horns.
The fact that Builderman knew nothing about the 'Inphernal' didn't help.
Whatever the true nature of Sword was, Builderman would be sure to keep his eyes on him. He had a duty to protect other survivors, and he would be damned to let any one of them get hurt because he didn't raise an eyebrow at a newcomer.
"Hey Dave!"
He snapped his head at the voice and saw that Shedletsky was approaching him. With a silent forced sigh, he released his hands and put them down on the table, his back pressing against the seat.
"Oh, hey. Shed. You're not helping with the kitchen?"
"Nah- The pizza folks and the bot got it handled."
Shedletsky casually replied as he hopped onto a seat opposite him, a finger pointing at the 'kitchen' area of the dining room where the Pizza Workers Duo and a Helper Bot were working on their meals. You couldn't really say it was a kitchen- It was merely an area where there was a camping stove and a few kitchen tools on a table, and the ingredients were just the stuff they found around the cabins, or were given by the unknown entity, or the food items the support could spawn. Also, Shed's chickens whenever he felt generous enough to share.
Most of their meals were... very basic due to the limited resources, yet they were filling enough. He knew the cookers were trying their best, but he really hoped they could do something about the taste. The taste wasn't horrible, but outright plain.
"Hello- Earth to Dave, are you still there?"
Shedleysky leaned forward across the table, waving his yellow in front of Builderman's face. He hissed and gently swatted Shed's hand away.
"You know I don't like you doing that."
"Not my fault that you were lost in your thoughts."
Shedletsky chuckled as he sat back down, leaning against the seat as he hung his arms on it, but his gaze wasn't on Dave for long as he glanced upward to the second floor. He lazily pointed a finger up there.
"Two Time has calmed down by the way. Currently, Taph is distracting him from fuming with a dance off."
Builderman blinked once. That wasn't in character for Taph at all... unless.
"Did you put them up to it?"
Shed's grin only widened. That was more than enough of an answer for Builderman as he let a sigh, pressing a hand against his forehead while he shook his head. At least, they didn't have to worry about the Cultist rambling on about killing the newcomer for another hour or so.
"What do you think of the new guy?"
He asked, leaning away from the seat. He knew he could trust Shed's thoughts. The guy may be casual and laidback now, but he was an invaluable employee and protector. A guy with as much experience as him since the beginning of Roblox.
"Eh, I think he's an alright guy. Reliable too! He fended off John with you, didn't he?"
"He sure did."
And he certainly was experienced.
He added in his head. He had seen the way Sword had swung his sword, even though he could tell he was panicking- he wasn't sloppy at all. It was like he had been trained for his entire life.
Builderman perked up when someone was approaching him. He saw the Not-Elliot guy in red Builder Brother's pizza uniform approach him and Shed with two plates in his hands. He settled the plates down on the table with a smile.
"Here you go, sir."
"Thank you."
He mumbled a thank you before the Pizza Guy walked away. From where he sat, he could see people starting to enter the dining area after they had checked in with Carl. Why? He had no idea why, but it felt oddly nice to be doing something mundane like that. It felt like they were back home, enjoying their life and going on about their day... just a bit.
Wow, he was missing his paperwork.
He grabbed his fork and spoon, ignored the chatter getting louder around them, then looked down at his plate. It was a plate of rice and boiled mushrooms. Nothing too special. As for the taste... He took a spoonful of it and chewed for a moment. Eh, not tasteful at all.
As he continued to slowly eat his meal, and Shedletsky chowed down the entire thing, he glanced back at the entrance. Keeping track of EVERYONE and making sure none had gone missing again, like the dock guy.
They never found his and the others' bodies.
He took another spoonful before his gaze was fully locked onto a certain individual, the newest member they had and the last guy to come and get his meal, Sword. He quickly tore his gaze away when the demon looked in his direction, pretending to be minding his own business and shoving the third spoonful of his meal into his mouth.
"Have you shown him the maps yet? Or tell him about the other killers besides John?"
He froze midway through raising the fourth. Glancing up from his plate, he noticed Shed had already finished his within his usual record, and stared at the admin.
"No..."
He shook his head. He had forgotten about it. They had maps of the round maps, drawn on the back of the posters they tore down from the wall and taped or stitched together. They were instrumental in helping memorize the round maps when they weren't in one, and making strategies to counter the killers. For example, the best places to place sentries were.
He also needed to tell Sword about the other killers' abilities, their behavior, and how to counter or avoid them. Each death added more time to the clock, which meant that it was more likely that more people would die, even if it was just by 30 or 45 seconds. The newcomers tended to die a lot .
But right now, the two of them have a meal to finish so-
"I'll tell him after I finish eating mine."
He mumbled and continued munching on his food.
"Alright, but don't forget again, 'cause I'm not reminding you the second time."
Shedletsky snickered, kicking both of his feet up and leaning against his seat with his hands behind the back of his head. Builderman's eye twitched, and he groaned.
"Put your feet down, mister ."
Notes:
More headcannons!
Elliot HATEs burgers because they remind him of 007n7
C00lkidd started off as a survivor in the previous group before he got turned into what he is now. His abilities were similar to his dad and has the ability to stun/slow killer down. He could throw brick that inflict slowness, slash his Firebrand to stun, and summon two clones in a cloud of smoke that run into different directions to fool the killers. However, he had the least HP because... well, he's a child.
