Summary:

Sunny hadn't came out even after Kel had tried to reach him. He was meant to move away three days after that, but his mom had delayed the move two months ago. After five days he will finally move away.

Now, he hears Aubrey outside, begging for him to come out.

And well, who he is to deny to her?

Chapter 1: Chance.

Summary:

Aubrey tries to get to Sunny.

Notes:

Yes, l know this chapter is short, but hey! It's probably good! Maybe. l sure hope so.

Today’s a normal day for ☐☐☐ny Suzuki. Well, as normal as they can be. He sleeps, a lot. Too much admittedly, but the dreams that sleeping provides compensate for the loss he gets. Not that he eats food that much anyway.

Seems like he’s awoken on that part where it’s ACTUALLY day and not night. Well, it doesn’t matter. He will go to sleep anyways.

His mom had delayed the move two months ago, that’s good. He will be moving away soon though.

5 days left.

☐☐☐n☐ heard a sound coming from his stomach, what is it? Ah. He’s hungry. He’s so hungry he could eat a steak. And so he does. He had gotten down the staircase, getting rid of an old acquaintance along the way, gone to the kitchen and ate the steak, without forgetting to microwave it.

Unfortunately, his stomach didn’t agree, for some reason, and he had to go to the bathroom.

…

…mmmm yummy- Anyways, ☐un☐☐ was about to go to sleep but all of a sudden he heard the loud knocks on the door! Usually there’s some creepy things behind the door, but they appeared only at night, so maybe it’s a real person?

Gotten curious, S☐☐☐☐ goes all the way to the door.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

He came closer to the door and apparently, the person behind noticed this.

??????: “Hello? Sunny? Is that you?”

The voice seems all too familiar, but… She wasn’t real, right?

Aubrey(?): “It’s me… Aubrey, l had noticed that… You are moving away soon, so…”

Aubrey(?): “l wanted to hang out with you again and…”

Aubrey(?): “I’m kinda lonely there… I had been pushing away my old friends and used my new friends to bully one of them and now…”

Sunn☐ heard sniffle outside.

Aubrey(?): “C-can you come out, p-please…? l… l just- want t-to make some things right, for o-once…”

Su☐ny’s curiosity kicks in.

Aubrey(?): “I’ll wait here, okay…?”

‘Curiosity killed a cat.’

‘She’s alone, you have to help her.’

‘She’s lying. She’s trying to get you out.’

‘It’s your chance to change, to become a better person.’

…

What will Su☐ny do?

Open the door?

– YES

→ NO

…

Behind the door is a slightly taller girl, whose hair is pink and black. She seemed to have a miserable expression, until the boy came out. As he reveals himself, Aubrey hugs him. That reminds Sun☐☐ of a lost, repressed memory.

“After ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐ Su☐☐☐, Aubrey ☐☐☐☐ ☐☐ and ☐☐☐☐☐☐ the ☐☐☐ for ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐. He says he doesn’t mind ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐ ☐☐ ☐☐☐. ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐, the girl hugs him and ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ ☐☐ ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐. ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ w☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ d☐☐☐, ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐e ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐.”

Unfortunately the memory is way too blurry, but, perhaps with the time and help, it will resurface again. But there’s a time for everything and he has other priorities.

Chapter 2: Outside.

Summary:

Sunny comes outside and discusses things with Aubrey.

It’s been one or so minutes, Aubrey finally finishes her lovely hug, for her, it was very very happy event, for S☐☐ny however, it was pretty empty one. Weird…

 

“i- i’m so happy that you came out…” Aubrey says.

 

“...as if it wasn’t obvious.”

 

“Hey! That was rude.”

 

“Pro-blem?”

 

“...How about we just get something to eat?”

 

S☐☐ny nods.

Walk to Gino’s was quiet, after they got there Aubrey ordered some food. Soon enough, food had arrived.

 

“So…” Aubrey says in between her munches, they are eating pizza right now. “How’s it going? l-l just haven’t seen you in years a-and-” She gets interrupted by none other then ☐☐nny himself, “Dad left… Mom’s workaholic… Been sleeping a lot… What about you…?” 

 

“u-uh, w-well… Dad left too, Mom is… how do l say it… braindead… And… Well l have no friends. Not anym-more…”

 

“...Why…?”

 

“...l…prefer not to say. Not now…”

 

“...” S☐nny hesitates but agrees. “What do we do now, then?”

“Huh?”

 

“phew… You didn’t react to everything l said at all, is everything alright?”

 

“Oh, yes. l just… Was thinking.” No way in hell Sunny would tell her what he just heard, mostly because he doesn’t know what that was.

 

“Good… Don’t space out like that again, okay?”

 

“Mhm.” No promises, Aubrey. No promises.

 

“Anyways, you wanna have those last two pieces?”

 

“...Sure.” After saying that he eats those aforementioned pizza pieces. “Now, where do we go?”

 

“l dunno, Hobeez?”

 

“...Faraway Park?”

 

“Hmmm… well, fine. Let’s go!”

 

…

 

“Here we are!” Says Aubrey after a magical translation into park itself. Such thing is used when the author doesn’t know how to make walk scenes and it can be executed in very different ways. Three dots way is probably the most basic of them all… “What do we do?” Continues Aubrey not noticing the fact that she had copied his question with less details. 

 

“...Swings, what do you think?”

 

“Sounds great!”

 

Sunny silently goes to swings and after some time notices Aubrey completely frozen in place. What’s that about?

She looks at someone in particular, he follows her eyes and sees… Someone familiar. Kim, Vance, Angel- Wait. Is that… Basil?
