Chapter 1: Midnight Meeting

Lan Wangji , birth name Zhan, Age 18 , College Student , Music Student .

Wei Wuxian , Birth name Ying, Age 24 , Dropped out of college at his last year , past Medicine Student , Has been dealing with the Underworld since he was 16 and inherited the Yiling Wei Mafia since .

He sputtered a small thank you and ran towards his house .

Chapter 3: A very worried brother

Lan Wangji got home late to find a very worried older brother .

Lan Wangji practically ran towards their mansion. He sprinted inside without even greeting the maids . As he was waking his way to upstairs he heard his brother .

- Wangji! Oh my goodness Wangji ! Where were you ?! I was so worried ?!

Before he can even say sorry he was pulled into a hug.

- I am sorry Xiongzhang … I missed the bus . A kind … omega who was out late brought me here .

Lan Wangji didn’t knew what he is supposed to wear . He had been digging his closet for 30 minutes . Then he heard someone knocking his door .

… The room was a mess . Every surface was covered with clothes .

- Young Master ? Are you going on a date ?

How did she knew ?! Was it that obvious? He could feel his cheeks warming up .

She was now looking at his jewelry. And picked out a silver necklace that has a blue crystal cloud.

Chapter 5: The Meet Up

Lan Wangji’s steps were hesitant. He was never the one to hesitate actually. But here he was , hesitating cause he was going to meet up with an alpha … an alpha who was a mafia .

- Can you come to my family dinner as my partner next week .

There , there it is . He had done it again ( he had scared of many alphas with this tactic , they all were spineless and cowardly assholes anyways)
But Wei Wuxian just nodded his head .

If LWJ was going to be honest , the date was quite nice . Wwx didn’t tried to hit on him to the levels that it made him uncomfortable, he didn’t tried to touch him out of his consent and he was over all just nice and cool about pretty much everything . Now the only problem was telling this to his … uncle .

 

He walked into their house to find his uncle , arms crossed, with a red face waiting him .

Chapter 7: Plan the story

Apparently, Wei Wuxian was indeed great at lying . Like he expected . The problem was that they both needed to memorize their “Love story” which, they didn’t came up with yet . So Wei Ying asked to meet up again so they can talk about it . They definitely need to meet up in a place no one can think of . Or they can get caught. So they decided to meet 20 minutes away from the city center . Wei Wuxian was already sitting on a bench when he arrived there .

- Hey Lan Zhan ! I got hot cacao for us !

He handed the cup to Lan Wangji who carefully took a sip from it . He looked at Wei Wuxian who was watching him like a pretty view.

- So I came up with a plan for our “Love story” . We were introduced by Nie Huaisang.

Lan Wangji lifted an eyebrow at the name . He knew the other Omega through his brother’s friend .

- He is a close friend of mine and my brother’s boyfriend for now. He asked us to go on a double date with them , we agreed . We liked each other and decided to see if it will work out between us !

He finished the sentence smiling ear to ear . This was a pretty valid story . And Bie Huaisang wasn’t to throw people under a bus unless they intended to harm his loved ones.

- Mn. It seems like a good plan … but Wei Ying . My family might force you to get engaged with me as soon as possible …

He didn’t added the part where they might make him drop out and he might never get his bachelor on music. That idea scared him . He passed the selections as the first .

He just nodded , feeling uneasy inside. Wei Wuxian didn’t seemed like the kind who would lock up their omegas inside a mansion and force them to make babies 24/7 . Chapter 8: Dinner starts

“ Wangji ? I heard that you have a … boyfriend? “

Lan Wangji nodded his head as he kept on reading his book . Clearly trying make it seem like he didn’t wanted to talk . But his brother decided to be stubborn today it seems .

“ Wangji ? I think that you made some quick decisions. I heard from Uncle that you are planning to introduce your boyfriend. Don’t you think it is a bit too soon ?”

Yep , this was it . He closed his book loudly and looked his brother in the eyes . He loved his brother , yes . But he was also the one who thought that Wen Xu wasn’t a bad person. Like how blind you can be ?

“ I didn’t made a quick decision. It was well thought of. You don’t know him , I do . Now I would appreciate if you leave brother . Xie Lian is trying to decide whether to cry or laugh . “

And he shoved the door . His brother leaves the room looking heart broken . Now he needs to find something to wear . He got up from his bed and walked to the servant quarters and knocked on the door . A girl who seemed like 20 opened the door .

“ Second Master Lan ? What are you doing here ? “

He looked down and with a nearly whisper like tone asked .

“ I … need to choose outfits for the next family dinner . Can you help me? “

She smiled and told him that she will be there in a few minutes.

 

After many attempts of trying to choose what to wear . They decided in dark navy blue fabric pants and a white shirt with ruffled sleeves.

“Who ever managed stole our Young Master’s heart must be very talented. We can talk about the hair style at the day . I am no expert on hair.”

He nodded and thanked her . He felt so … different? Like it wasn’t bad or anything . But … you know the butterflies? Yes . He felt those all around his stomach. He was going to meet with his father for the first time after years . He doesn’t know why , but his brother said that he talked with their father . Why his father never reached out to him ? Was it because of his second gender ? He didn’t even wanted to know .

On the day of the dinner the garden was decorated beautifully with white flowers and light blue decorations. Everything was perfect. Just like how his uncle liked it to be . His hair was made up to a half bun . He kept trying to stand as straight as possible. As the relatives started to speak he started hearing comments such as

He didn’t wanted to speak back to his elders but his brother also wasn’t doing anything . As if trying to defeat him in silence. Then Qingheng-Jun arrived . His hair that had a few strands of white was as dark as his hair was . And he had the same golden piercing eyes as he did . He welcomed his father with head lowered and saw with the corners of his eyes that his uncle approved the behavior. Then he heard a voice that silenced the all background noises.

- Lan Zhan !

He turned to see the owner of the voice . There was Wei Ying , in a dark blue suit ( which he definitely wished was black and red ) and a massive bouquet of pink Hawaiin Coral peonies , white frangipanis and forget-me-nots sprinkled in between . The thing was that the bouquet was huge the diameter of the bouquet was probably 80-90 cm . It was huge . The garden has fallen into a deep silence.

 

Wei Ying walked up to him and handed him the bouquet which he took in his arms and gods was it massive . Everyone stood in shock as Wei Wuxian hugged him and turned to his father . Qingheng-Jun definitely wasn’t planning on seeing him here .

“ Hello sir Lan , it has been a long time since we met right ? It is good to see you again !”

He went for a handshake which he accepted.

“ A’Xian , it has been years since I’ve seen you. I didn’t know that you were my son’s boyfriend. If he had told me sooner I would have retuned back before . How is your Grandmather doing ? Also , congratulations on your uncles wedding.”

 

Wei Wuxian just nodded politely and took Wangji’s hand and kissed it . Lan Wangji can feel his cheeks warming up . Then his uncle spoke up .

- Brother , the food is getting cold . Everyone please sit down .
