Rick - Omega - Elk/??? | He never shifts into his animal form. Neither Lori or Shane have seen him shift, he has yet been able to fully shift. .
Maggie - Alpha - Swan |
Michonne - Alpha - Crowned Eagle | With her wide wings, she sometimes shifts to her animal form to scout ahead. Leaving her chicks with her trusted mate.
Merle - Alpha - Coyote/Mutt | Dispute often butting heads with his little brother, he still cares for the bastard. Wanting to do good by him, even if that means if he has to be the bad guy in someone else’s story.
Daryl - Alpha- ???/Coyote | It took a while, but while grieving for Rick, he and Michonne grew closer. Becoming a unbonded pair, though people often mistake Rick’s old mark to be Daryl’s. They have not laid together. He develops a way to communicate via whistling and howling with his pack mates.
Hershel - Alpha - Salt Water Crocodile/True Siren | Due to being descended from a Siren he is able to alter his voice to effect those around him, mainly he uses it to have a calming effect on those around him. While a retired Vet, he is also a retired VET. Having served in a war he didn’t believe in like a lot of young men did back then. He knows not to quite trust the information that is give him.
Lori - Beta - Pronghorn | Anxious and mourning, she found solace in the arms of the only pack member she had left. Her romantic feelings for her husband have been faltering for a while now, the pair barely hanging on a rope. She still honoured him as her child's father and her friend.
Judith - Beta - German Shepard/Pronghorn| Though she never knew her both parents, she adores her pack. She loves her mama, papa and daddy. And of course her big brother. She was hit hard with the death of Carl and Rick. Clinging to Daryl and refusing to let him go most days. Forcing the man to carry her everywhere.
Shane - Omega - German Shepard | His friendship with Rick is rather long and complicated, as rejection turns to friendship. He grapples with his desire and envy.
Carol - Unranked (Born Omega) - Cougar/??? | Due to the past mistreatment and body modification, Carol never learns of her true nature. It took her a long time to discover how to shift into her animal form.
Glenn - Unranked (Born Alpha) - Amur Leopard/Korean Jindo | Due to the stress of the apocalypse during the delicate time he should’ve shown his rank, his body shut down the development. Forcing him to go through it once they reach safety.
Sofie - Unranked (Born Beta) - Cougar/??? - Peaches |
Carl - Unranked (???) - Elk/Pronghorn

Gender Ranks
Omegas General.
Omegas are more defensive during their heat, growing antsy if someone enters their den without permission, become outright aggressive if someone invades their nest. Even killing those who enter however it depends on the omega. This mainly happens if the omega is in a location where they have claimed as theirs.
Preheat is the time for their body to prepare and for them to ensure their den is safe.
Nests often consist of articles of clothing or items from the members that are close the them.
Male omegas
Originally more feminine in nature, due to natural selection and history. Male omegas have evolved to be more like a mix between Guardian and nursemaid. Growing protective over their pregnant pack mates, and lactating so they are able to help nurse when the mother is not able to.
While able to have heats, their body grows and adjusts to the timing of their packmates’s heats, often having it after them, growing more aggressive during the preheat.
They are able to impregnate and be impregnated, though the latter is more difficult.
Female omegas
Male Alphas
Male alphas are scarcely left alone with children and young, as many people believe that they will kill them. While they do get aggressive, it is often in lieu of protecting their pups. They are able to lactate, though they do not produce as much milk as omegas, some alphas are able to produce more but it takes a lot of effort to do.
Female Alphas
Akin to male omegas, they have evolved to help raise the young of the pack. A bit rarer them male omegas, they were often prosecuted in the past they did not fit what a lot of some individuals believed that should be.
They are bulkier and more protective then their male counterparts.
Betas

Packs Dynamics
Packs have different interwoven hierarchies, differing from pack to pack with smaller packs forming within, like a family tree with branches. Normally they consist on members of friends, family and mates.
Scents are important, everyone has their own unique scent, allowing their pack to find them and to seek comfort in them.
Environments and emotions can affect the way people smell. Even certain wounds can cause scents to change if the wound is near a scent gland. E.G Rick scent has a metallic tinge to it, due to the wound be faced.

Mythical creatures.
While they do exist, they are extremely rare, having been hunted by the government for eons due to their magical properties. There is a bounty for them.
