Chapter Text
"So, now that we know about the Exiled Doctor…" Mei began.
"And even that Doctor variant who's literally called Dr. Who." Miriam finished.
"Who literally names their kid Who?" Tyler added his two cents as he asked in confusion.
"Basically, what other Doctor variants are there?" Priya summed up the question.
"Yeah, anybody cool?" Abby added. "Like that guy with Kahhori?"
"Hmm," Replied The Watcher as he placed his hand around his chin in thought. "Well, there is one I haven't told you about but one I recently discovered."
"Let's hear it!" Miriam exclaimed excitedly.
"Fair warning though," The Watcher said. "She will be weirder than most variants to you."
"How weird are we talking?" Asked Mei.
"Well, to put it one way…" The Watcher began. "This variant is far more eccentric than most incarnations if not all."
"What do you mean?" Asked Miriam.
"As you know in The Doctor's main universe," He replied as he began to explain. "The Doctor regenerated into his second incarnation that can be described as a 'Cosmic hobo.'"
Mei and her friends saw the imagery change in front of them and The Watcher to the last moments of the First Doctor.
"But in this universe," The Watcher continued. "The Doctor changed into someone far more different. A far cry from what others would expect of the Doctor to act like."
The group witnessed the First Doctor change as the companions Ben Jackson and Polly Wright sat around the Time Lord as they witness him change appearances. The light around the Doctor glowed and as it dimmed down, instead of a younger man with a short bob haircut, the appearance of an old man was replaced by a younger woman with blonde hair who still wore her predecessor's clothes.
The woman's eyes fluttered and her voice groaned until her eyes fully snapped open. Ben and Polly recoiled back as she instantly bolted and sat upright with a shocked expression on her face and gasped as she exhaled her breath.
Suddenly, she sneezed.
"Like eww." The woman recoiled herself in disgust as she spoke with still a British accent but spoke like an 80's Valley Girl-even complete with the mannerisms and way of speaking including the dialect.
"Oh, double eww!" The Doctor said as she stared at her older male self's clothes in disgust. "Old people clothes!"
"Like, total fashion barf!" The Doctor added as she stood up as she looked at the sleeves on her jacket which no longer fit her as they covered her hands. "This so wasn't fashionable in 1986!"
"It can't be The Doctor!" Ben remarked in shock and confusion.
"He did say 'this old body of mine is wearing thin.'" Polly said. "Nobody has come in through the doors, we saw him turn into…her."
"Like, chill, guys." The Doctor then addressed her companions. "I'm gonna be, like, back in a sec, it's time for, like, a new change of scenery!"
"But-but…" Ben sputtered as he tried to speak but the Doctor ran out of the TARDIS console room to another area of the TARDIS with the doors quickly shutting.
"Surely, she can't be the same Doctor!" Ben exclaimed.
"He, or, she was wearing his clothes." Polly retorted, equally in shock.
Suddenly as if it were a quick of a flash, the doors opened to immediately reveal The Doctor in her new getup; the most 80s thing one could ever envision. Her blonde hair was now done in a stylized perm with a frizzled look in a way as Ben remarked to himself it appeared she had too much hair. There were even pink streaks on her bangs and black eyeliner. Her clothes consisted of a sleeveless jean jacket with a pink and black vest with roses and multicolored beads around her neck, black fingerless gloves, a pink bow around her waist, tanned brown pants and fashionable, blue sneakers.
"Ahhh!" The Doctor breathed a sigh of relief as she used more hairspray on her hair before she tossed the can aside. "Like, much better!"
Mei and her friends stared on in abject shock-baffled at what they were seeing in front of their eyes.
"This is so much 80's, it hurts!" Mei exclaimed as she recoiled in disgust.
Her friends rapidly nodded in agreement.
"That was the style in 1986 to be fair." Uatu, The Watcher said.
"How did this even happen?" Miriam asked. "What got her to go all in on 80s fashion?"
"It is a rather odd mystery but I do have a theory how." Uatu replied.
Mei and her friends watched as the window to the alternate universe changed to the inside of the Snowcap Base from the First Doctor's first encounter with the Cybermen. The First Doctor walked down a hallway and heard the radio on. He paused midway through walking as he then peered into an empty room upon hearing what he deemed as an "unnatural noise." It was an empty room where the door was left open but the radio stayed on as it blared out a particular song at high volume; said song being Material Girl by Madonna.
The First Doctor shook his head in disbelief.
"Music of this decade has gone downhill evidently." The Doctor remarked to himself.
Though suddenly, he began to hum the lyrics of the song to himself.
"So, the previous guy got a Madonna song stuck in his head." Miriam remarked. "And then she became a Valley Girl."
"That makes sense." Nodded Priya.
The rest of the besties including Mei murmured in agreement.
"Totally." Mei concurred.
"In any case, the Valley Girl as she's aptly nicknamed, has continued to display the values and heroics all versions of The Doctor represent." Said The Watcher. "Ever continuing the fight against evil forces who wish to commit harm to others."
Suddenly, Mei and her friends witnessed a variety of acts from the Valley Girl Doctor. Such as her roller skating away from a couple of Daleks, rescuing a little girl with red hair in pigtails and eccentric clothing as once again, the Valley Girl Doctor was in roller skates as she narrowly evaded an army of Skinless Martians who targeted a village at Villa Villekulla, the Valley Girl Doctor teaming up with Dragonwoman as they fought against Necrafa and finally, assisting the Avengers of Earth-911111 as they took on the Cybermen as they proceeded with their invasion of New York.
They stared in awe of everything the Valley Girl Doctor had accomplished so far and the adventures she had.
"But relatively recently, this was one of her most recent adventures…" Uatu said as the mirror now changed to one of a big city that resembled an idealized and futuristic-like New York City.
"It began like any adventure that involved The Doctor." The Watcher began. "A developing situation that ultimately ended up having her intervention."
Earth-091899: New Tronic City.
Above the clouds of New Tronic City, two giant robots observed as they strategically hid themselves in the sky. One of which being dark blue armor with red eyes, a beard and even red pink tipped claws with folded wings on his back. The other being colored purple and gray, red eyes, a horned crown shaped head and jet-like wings on his back.
"The scanners have detected Time Lord readings that match The Doctor's brainwaves," Said the purple robot as he spoke into a communication device with the War Monger Megatron. "But what we have found does not match the records of the previous incarnations."
"It must be a variant." Said the War Monger Megatron. "Unfortunately, Laserbeak had discovered that meddlesome Time Lord has variants."
"This must be one of them." He added with distaste. "See to it that she's destroyed, Cyclonus."
"As you command, mighty Megatron." Cyclonus nodded as he turned the communicator off.
"What now?" Said the other Decepticon.
"Simple, Scourge, we complete our mission to eliminate the Doctor variant." Replied Cyclonus. "The War Monger did include variants to be among those to be destroyed anyway."
"And that one Soundwave variant's research on this universe may have given us the advantage we needed." He then added with a smirk.
"How is that?" Asked Scourge.
"Recently, an incident occurred where supposedly, the humans of this 'Quark Industries' were testing a machine that resulted in a monster roaming about." Replied Cyclonus. "We can use this to frame this Doctor variant as the saboteur."
"Yes, I understand what you're saying." Scourge said in realization. "If the humans bring her to us…"
"We will execute her on the spot." Cyclonus finished.
"An individual may be smart but it very easy to manipulate people given they are nothing more than dumb panicky animals." He then added. "Let's get to work!"
"And so they did." Said Uatu. "Cyclonus and Scourge made their unannounced presence known as they approached the likes of Dr. Axel Donovon, Dr. Erika Slate and General Thorton-intent with deceiving the humans into believing the Time Lord herself was a terrorist."
"Currently, we are hunting for a fugitive known only as The Doctor." Said Cyclonus via a video communication screen at Quark Industries he had managed to intercept.
The screen changed to reveal the Valley Girl variant in all her eighties fashion glory much to a combination of bemusement and confusion.
"You want us to hunt down a… valley girl from the nineteen eighties?" General Thorton asked skeptically and in disbelief as he raised his eyebrow at the appearance.
"Do not be deceived by appearances." Cyclonus said. "She may appear harmless but she is still a terrorist. The appearance is merely a cover for her conniving and dangerous personality."
"She counts on it." He added gravely. "Why else would she secretly tamper with that device to unleash a monster upon your world?"
"That makes sense!" Dr. Donovon nodded rapidly.
"We're being terrorized by a Madonna fan girl." The small monkey Jenny, perched on Donovon's shoulder, dryly remarked. "At least that's a new one,"
"Not everyone believed the deception however." Uatu said. "For Dr. Erika Slate had her suspicions. As did Lieutenant Dwayne Hunter, heroic pilot of the giant robot the Big Guy."
"So, why go along with it anyway?" Asked Priya.
"Sometimes, one has to pretend to buy the deception in order to uncover the truth." Uatu replied. "Even if the deception is obvious."
"Makes sense." Priya shrugged.
Uatu continued, "But elsewhere, The Doctor and her companions, Ben and Polly, of course unexpectedly could not have picked one could argue be either the most poor or excellent timing."
Inside one of the floors of Quark Industries, a familiar blue box; the TARDIS, materialized right in between a water cooler and a potted plant.
The doors swung open to reveal the Valley Girl variant of The Doctor herself as she stuck her head outside and looked back and forth in a rapid manner continuously with a curious but cautious look on her face. She retreated back inside and the TARDIS dematerialized.
Only for the TARDIS to materialize inside a closet that was next to the potted plant.
"Did you just teleport us to a closet?" Ben asked in disbelief as his, the Doctor's and Polly's voices were muffled behind the closet door as the TARDIS doors opened.
"Got to be like, incognito!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied.
"That's never stopped you wanting to stand out from the get go however." Retorted Polly.
Ben and Polly were Caucasian with Ben having short brown reddish hair and Polly having blonde hair, both of them had appeared as if they had came from the sixties, which they were as they were couple who accompanied The First Doctor's journeys in 1966.
"Only in this instance." The Valley Girl Doctor replied as she opened the closet door, now with a Nintendo Power Glove around her waist like a holster. "Plus, like, Quark Industries people here are like, super serious as far as I can tell in my, like, research."
"Plus, their headshots have, like, super serious faces." She added. "In fact, reminds me of this, like, one time, I met, like, these guys called G.I. Joe or something, and this like, Hawk dude, Slaughter dude, Duke dude all had, like, zero chill when I tried to talk to them about Mechanoids…"
"I think we get your point, Doctor." Ben gently said to the Valley Girl Doctor-preventing her from going on what he and Polly deemed her trademark tendency to tell rambling stories in her own fashion.
"But I really wanted to tell that story!" Whined the Valley Girl Doctor and she stomped her feet a bit like a child.
"Perhaps, another time." Polly assured the Time Lady.
"Okay!" The Valley Girl Doctor resumed her cheerful demeanor with a high-pitched squeak.
"But I'm not too sure about this…Quark Industries and their robotics." Ben then said out of hesitation.
"The whole thing with WOTAN and the Cybermen didn't exactly leave us a good impression about the future of robotics." Polly concurred as she and Ben recalled their first time encountering the Doctor and the incident with WOTON.
"Oh, this is, like, different from those two times." The Valley Girl Doctor assured her companions as she placed chewing gum into her mouth. "Sure, they like, operate like any capitalist company-type thing but there's still, like, some good people. Like that Dr. Slate chick. I totally, like, want to talk to her!"
"And get her autograph too." She added with a playful whisper as she put her right hand beside her right cheek.
"If you say so, Doctor." Ben said with a bit of uncertainty. Polly had the same feeling but nodded along regardless.
"Good." The Valley Girl Doctor nodded as she chewed her gum. "So, I made, like, these fake ID cards."
As if she were doing a magic trick, three ID cards materialized into her hand like a magician with playing cards. Ben and Polly took their ID cards and examined them thoroughly.
"A 'Front desk operator?'" Ben read his aloud in confusion.
"I'm a security guard?" Polly asked about her profession in the same confused tone as Ben.
"Hang on, what did you get?" Ben asked the Valley Girl Doctor-instantly suspicious of her fake ID card.
With a sly smile, the Valley Girl Doctor held her ID card that said "Assistant to Dr. Erika Slate."
"Now wait a minute!" Ben almost shouted before Polly managed to calm him down as she made a "shush" motion with her index finger as to not get unwarranted attention.
"I really want to, like, explore this place and find Dr. Slate." The Valley Girl Doctor. "In the meantime, feel free to, like, explore around yourselves or something."
From underneath her jean jacket, she took out a Motorola Dynatec 8000X cell phone that was the size of a brick.
"I have, like, another phone I can use." The Valley Girl Doctor said. "I reprogrammed yours though to just dial 63 so that you can contact me, like, easily."
"Through this thing?" Ben remarked in disbelief. "It's the size of a brick!"
"But it, like, works." The Valley Girl Doctor shrugged as she blew a bubble before it popped and began to chew the gum again upon using her tongue to retract it back into her mouth. "See ya!"
"Where are you going?" Polly asked.
"Gonna find Dr. Slate!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied as she went to the right and rode away on her skates after she clicked her heels to unleash her built in roller skates.
"But…" Ben began to sputter before he gave up as he saw skating away. "There she goes as usual."
"Best we can do is walk around like we work here." Polly said.
Ben struggled to think of a response but sighed. He was resigned to the fact he and Polly have no other option other than do exactly that. And hope that the Doctor would not cause trouble.
In another part of the Quark Industries building, a lone robot boy with red hair, red gloves and feet that resemble red sneakers, almost looked human. He was dejectedly kicking a hockey puck. Earlier, he had wanted to play hockey with Dr. Slate and other members of staff but made the unfortunate timing of them during a meeting of their current situation regarding the supposed alien terrorist. With Lieutenant Dwayne Hunter piloting the giant robot known as The Big Guy, a fact unknown to the robot boy, searching around for the creature unleashed and the supposed fugitive. Dr. Slate was one of the very few who expressed skepticism for of two reasons; one, given Dr. Donovon's need to rush things, she correctly suspected there were no tests done to ensure safety.
The second, being the fact that the robots searching for the fugitive literally called themselves Decepticons when they first introduced themselves as she recalled their first meeting with Cyclonus and Scourge. Only agreeing to play along as she predicted the truth will eventually come through.
"'The adults are meeting, Rusty.'" The boy robot began to repeat the exact words uttered to him in a dejected fashion. "'It's past your power down time, Rusty.' 'Big Guy is in shut down mode. He can't come out, Rusty.'"
"I never have any fun!" He added with a grumble as he kicked the hockey puck again.
Suddenly, as he kicked the hockey puck into the hallway, he heard someone's voice. A bit faint at first but then the voice grew louder. Rusty looked from the floor to the darkened hallway as he saw a figure in the shadows that appeared to be…dancing. And singing.
"So if you're lost and on your own, you can never surrender!" The figure sang in a feminine voice with a British Valley Girl accent. "And if your path, won't lead you home. You can never surrender!"
Rusty, out of curiosity, used his eyes as flashlights to shine a light on who it was dancing and singing. To his confusion, it was a young woman in eighties fashion, dancing and skipping to the beat of a song entitled Never Surrender by Cory Hart on a Walkman given as she held the device on her left hand and her ear phones. She sang slightly off key but put in the effort as she spun around in a circle and even did a jumping jack at one point.
"And when the night is cold and dark!" She continued to sing and spin around again as she danced with her eyes closed. "You can see, you can see light. 'Cause no one take away your right to fight and to never surrender!"
As she opened her eyes, she yelped in a fright upon seeing Rusty and did a small jump. As did the boy robot himself.
"Oh, like, wow!" The Valley Girl Doctor cried out in amazement upon seeing the boy robot as she turned off her Walkman.
Rusty was hesitant as the Valley Girl Doctor slowly and carefully approached him.
"Are you, like, a robot?" She asked. "Like, a robot boy? Like that one robot boy, I saw in, like, a manga once. It, like, looked like Disney but it's not. It's from, like, Japan. It was called…Astro something. Kid, like, maybe?"
"Yeeeah…" Replied Rusty after a moment's hesitation-unsure to trust this strange new woman before him. "Who are you? Dr. Slate told me to never talk to strangers."
"Oh, I'm like, The Doctor." The Valley Girl Doctor introduced herself.
"Doctor who?"
The Valley Girl Doctor giggled in response.
"You know, I get asked that, like, all the time." The Valley Girl Doctor said. "It's just, like, The Doctor."
"Oh cool!" Rusty cried out excitedly. "So you mean like Dr. Slate?"
The Valley Girl gasped excitedly.
"You know, like, Dr. Slate?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, she created me!" Rusty replied. "I guess she's like my mom in a way."
"Oh that is, like, so adorable!" The Valley Girl Doctor giddily exclaimed. "I'm, like, such a fan of hers."
"I basically came here to, like, get her autograph." She added.
"I could take you to her," Replied Rusty before his tone of voice turned dour. "But she's pretty busy right now."
"I have no one to play with." He added with a frown on his face.
"Tell you what," The Valley Girl Doctor placed her hand on the boy robot's shoulder in sympathy. "I'll be your friend. I'll play with you."
"You will?" Rusty cried out excitedly.
"For, like, sure!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied. "But I get to teach you to, like, dance first."
"Okay!" Nodded Rusty. "Can you play hockey though?"
"Like, don't know if I'm good at it," Replied The Valley Girl Doctor with uncertainty in her voice before she instantly perked up again. "But you can, like, show me."
"Plus, I got to, like, get you to listen the works of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper." She then added. "They are, like, total goddesses."
"Who are they?" Rusty asked in confusion.
The Valley Girl Doctor gasped as if in a horrified fashion.
"My little robot boy, you got, like, so much to learn!" The Valley Girl Doctor exclaimed.
A moment later, Rusty agreed to learn how to dance first. The Valley Girl Doctor had taught him how to do the dance called The Prep and then the Snake. Both of which Rusty managed to perfect on the first try much to the giddiness of the Time Lady. Finally, she had taught him the Robocop which she felt was appropriate for him to try. But the biggest dance move was attempting to teach him the dance moves as performed by Madonna in her music video for the hit song Material Girl.
As she performed the move for him as a visual reference, he attempted to replicate the dance before by accident, he spun around and crashed into a door.
"Ohmigosh!" The Valley Girl Doctor gasped in concern. "Are you, like, okay?"
She asked as she peered her head through the now destroyed door.
"Heh, no pain receptors." Rusty stood up with a small chuckle.
The boy robot then looked at the sign at the torn down door.
"Ar-chive-val-stow-ridge." He pronounced the words incorrectly like a toddler would do as he read the words "Archival Storage" on the door.
The Valley Girl Doctor looked down at the sign with much interest in her eyes.
"It's just a bunch of old junk." Rusty remarked.
"Nu-uh." The Valley Girl Doctor objected. "Don't knock stuff until you try them. You never, like, know what's gonna work out!"
As Rusty looked around the room while the Valley Girl Doctor observed much of the items in storage with much interest. His eyes, now turned back into flashlight mode, scanned through the room to find much to his interest, a robot that appeared in a way similar to him but in black and dashes of yellow like a bee. The body was headless but the head was sitting on a shelf with three antennas; one on top of his head and the other two acted as his ears and acting as a belt buckle on the body was a radioactive symbol.
"Whoa!" Rusty cried out in amazement and interest.
"You say whoa?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked as she approached Rusty, before she glanced at the other robot boy with interest.
She squeaked with interest as she held the head of the other robot boy.
"Is this, like, another you?" She asked the boy robot.
"He kind of does look like me." He replied.
The Valley Girl Doctor gave Rusty a grin to which he delivered one back as if the two were on the same wavelength.
Later…
"Wow, this is, like, your room?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked Rusty.
"Totally!" Rusty replied excitedly.
Rusty had led and allowed the Valley Girl Doctor to be in his room, which had some toys like a Rubik's Cube but also a few technological assets like a futuristic looking computer. Rusty had placed the body on a platform while he placed the head on a table as he removed the red cloth he covered the body with. The Valley Girl Doctor had assisted the boy robot into helping him get reactivated as she held the head while Rusty carried the body to his room.
The Valley Girl Doctor then took out what seemed like a pair of aviator sunglasses and examined the robot body.
"What are those?" Rusty asked out of curiosity as he noticed the sunglasses.
"Sonic Sunglasses." The Valley Girl Doctor replied. "They're, like, super better than a sonic screwdriver."
"Sonic screwdriver?" Rusty repeated in a curious tone.
"Sonic sunglasses are, like, totally the future, Rusty." She said matter-of-factly.
Rusty gave her a curious look.
"O…kay." Rusty said awkwardly as he pressed the button on the "belt buckle" to reveal an empty inside as the chest opened.
"Power pack not included." Rusty remarked to himself.
"Oooh, a battery!" The Valley Girl Doctor said excitedly as she anticipated what was going to happen.
After Rusty recovered a spare power pack from his drawer, he placed it inside the chest and it closed up.
In turn, the right arm of the body punched Rusty and threw him back onto the floor.
"Whoa kid, you okay?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked in shock.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Rusty giggled.
"I got, like, some freaky readouts from my sonic sunglasses." The Time Lord said. "This thing is, like, super powerful."
"Super powerful?" Rusty asked.
The Time Lord nodded in response. They turned to see the body of the other boy robot walking into a wall and walked in place.
"Oh right!" Rusty cried out in realization.
Rusty lifted the head as he said, "You're gonna need this!"
"Rusty, no!"
The head was taken away by Erika Slate herself as she walked into Rusty's room, shocked at what he held in his own hands.
"You are such a sneak, Dr. Slate!" Rusty remarked. "Hiding my new friend from me?"
"He's not your friend, Rusty." Dr. Slate retorted.
"Brother!" Rusty cried out excitedly as he remained unfazed much to Dr. Slate's chagrin.
"What's his name? What's his name?" He then eagerly asked.
"Doesn't have one." She replied. "He's an early prototype."
"Earl-y prototype." Rusty repeated. "I'll name him Earl!"
"A rejected prototype." Dr. Slate added.
"Rejected?" Rusty repeated the word.
"Why, like, rejected?" The Time Lord asked after she remained silent during their conversation. "Did he, like, do something bad?"
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Dr. Slate asked, confused by the presence of this strange woman.
Valley Girl Doctor then squeed in excitement as she examined Dr. Slate's face closely much to her bemusement and then she gasped happily, "Ohmigosh!"
The Time Lord in turn grasped her hands with hers and bounced up and down on her tippy toes excitedly much to the confusion of Dr. Slate herself.
"I am, like, such a huge fan of your work!" She cried out. "You're gonna be, like, so important in, like, twenty years."
"Or is it, like, …thirty?" She then asked herself as she stopped bouncing. "I could never, like, get the exact year right."
"Have we met?" Dr. Slate asked as she raised her eyebrow as she had never seen her before.
Suddenly, another gasp was heard, but this time one out of shock. The three glanced to see Dr. Donovon at the door-staring in shock as he recognized the strange woman in Rusty's room. As was his monkey, Jenny, who stared in horror and pointed at the Time Lady.
"It's her!" He cried out as he pointed at the Valley Girl Doctor. "The terrorist!"
The Valley Girl Doctor glanced around, looked back and forth in all directions and even turned three-sixty degrees.
"What terrorist?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked as she shrugged in confusion.
Immediately, security guards had come in and placed handcuffs on the Doctor right away much to her confusion and even Rusty. Dr. Slate was even confused herself as something was not adding up about this so-called terrorist given, what Slate at least described as, airheaded behavior.
"Like, why the cuffs?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked-borderline whining as she was dragged away. "What did I even do?"
"What did she do?" Rusty asked.
"Forget about her." Donovon replied dismissively, given his less than opinion attitude on Rusty.
He then snatched the head of the early prototype from Dr. Slate in a rude fashion.
"As for this," began Donovon in a condescending manner. "So considerate of you to unearth our misunderstood gem, Dr. Slate."
"Especially with one alien terrorist arrested." Jenny concurred. "And the other one still on the loose."
"Dr. Donovon, please recollect that this prototype possesses severe operating defects," Dr. Slate warned and urged her boss to remember.
"Err, yes, as I recall, the little nipper's got a 'underdeveloped' emotion grid." Said Donovon as he took the head from Dr. Slate. "As far as I'm concerned, less is often more."
He placed the head back on the robot body, who had introduced himself as EP-327. One who proved to be very militant and aggressive-never knowing what basic human customs were. Such as when Rusty wanted EP-327 to give him a high five, to which he interpreted as an attack and shifted into defense mode and pushed Rusty into a wall, to which he crashed through. Dr. Slate was ultimate concerned and even glared at Donovon. Rusty did not seem to mind the unwarranted aggression but nevertheless.
Things did not get better as during target practice, EP-327 initiated a fight with Rusty. The latter thinking he was playing but EP-327 with his aggressive militant attitude, ended up sending Rusty flying into a cafeteria. Suddenly, the belt buckle on Rusty, which resembled an atom, beeped to which EP-327 almost interpreted as enemy fire but in actuality, was the "Big Guy" signal, Rusty called it; an alarm to action.
Rusty flew away and left EP-327 to his own devices.
During all of this however, Cyclonus and Scourge had gotten word thanks to Dr. Donovon of the Valley Girl Doctor's capture as they awaited in the Nevada desert.
"What did I tell you, Scourge?" Cyclonus grinned a bit.
With that, he and Scourge transformed into their alternate modes being a futuristic jet and shuttle respectively.
Meanwhile, the Valley Girl Doctor sat in an interrogation room-all by herself. Her lips curled as her eyes looked around her surroundings. All while chewing bubblegum and out of utter boredom, she blew another bubble and popped it, before retracting the gum back to her mouth.
"Hello?" She asked loudly. "I know, like, one of you guys can see through that see through window thingy. I, like, know how it works."
Dr. Slate stared through the see through window in confusion as a million thoughts raced through her head. She still had doubts about the "alien terrorist" as well as the monster that was now on the loose. Between her and the Decepticons, something was not adding up. Especially since the woman who was arrested, she seemed more ditzy if anything. Her train of thoughts however were interrupted by the presence of a man and another woman barging through the door and appeared out of breath as if they were running.
"Who are you?" Dr. Slate asked.
Ben held up his index finger as he and Polly attempted to catch their breath.
"Forgive us, we ran all the way over here as soon as we heard." The woman apologized.
"Especially since I think there's been a misunderstanding." The man apologized before he introduced himself and his girlfriend. "My name is Ben and this is Polly."
She nodded in confirmation.
"And that, there…" Ben pointed at the eighties fashion woman in the interrogation room, who was too busy attempting to fix the bangs in her hair. "Is The Doctor."
Erika Slate looked back at The Doctor in disbelief. Baffled she was even called a doctor despite her appearance and valley girl demeanor.
"Doctor who?" Dr. Slate asked.
"It's just The Doctor." Ben replied. "It's a long story."
"How exactly are you connected to her?" Dr. Slate then asked.
"We're her friends basically." Polly replied. "What was she arrested for?"
"She's a suspected terrorist." Dr. Slate replied bluntly. "Apparently according to a Decepticon named Cyclonus, she is an escaped fugitive."
"Decepticons?" Ben asked incredulously as he had never heard of the word before.
"Fugitive?" Polly inquired out of confusion. "Surely not."
Dr. Slate explained to the couple of the situation before them to which both Ben and Polly expressed confusion over the events and what The Doctor supposedly had anything to do with any of it.
"We were only here for a couple of days on the other side of the world." Ben said to Dr. Slate. "We were in Japan when that ordeal with that machine happened."
"We had an incident of our own that involved the Cybermen." Polly added. "And before you ask, long story there."
Dr. Slate's eyes narrowed, as if she were making sure something was adding up correctly.
"When did this ordeal take place?" Dr. Slate asked.
"The day during your own incident." Ben replied. "The next day, she wanted to come here and evidently, to meet with you since she seems to love your work."
"I knew it." Dr. Slate gritted her teeth, vindicated her instincts were correct.
"You believe us?" Polly asked.
"I knew something immediately was off when they claimed she was a fugitive." Dr. Slate replied. "That and they called themselves Decepticons. Which was literally the word deception with an added 'C.'"
"That just makes it too obvious then." Ben remarked.
"I do need to understand one thing though." Dr. Slate said before she asked, "How is she a doctor? What makes her so trustworthy that you do listen to her?"
"She talks like she's barely out of high school." She added as she looked at the Doctor admiring herself through the two-way mirror.
"Listen mate, I know she talks weird." Said Ben. "But despite that, she's the smartest person we know."
"Plus, the Doctor has saved multiple people throughout our travels." Polly added her two cents. "No matter the body she… he was in."
"I'm sorry, did you say 'he?'" Dr. Slate asked out of confusion.
"It's complicated, mate." Ben said. "Something to do with regeneration. We barely understand it ourselves."
Dr. Slate glanced at the Valley Girl Doctor, who was now too busy examining her fingernails. She was not sure if they claimed she was smart and a savior they said she was but at the same time, the more answers she had, the more questions came about. And she knew being a scientist herself, the answer was going to be pursuit of the truth until there was a definitive answer.
Dr. Slate entered the interrogation room with Ben and Polly following her.
"Ben! Polly!" The Valley Girl Doctor exclaimed happily before she gasped happily again upon seeing Dr. Slate. "Ohmigosh! Dr. Slate again!"
"Before you ask, let's just say, I believe you for now." Dr. Slate said as she took out a key.
"Oh, like, no need for a key!" The Valley Girl Doctor said.
Before Dr. Slate could ask why, the cuffs on her wrists were instantly unlocked much to the shock of the Quark Industries scientist. Her jaw dropped in amazement upon seeing the Valley Girl Doctor free herself. The whole time she glanced at her, it did not appear she tried to free herself in the most obvious fashion.
"How did you-?!" Dr. Slate sputtered in surprise.
"Oh I, like, learned a lot from Houdini." The Valley Girl Doctor grinned as she rubbed her wrists. "Cuffs, like, get crampy for me."
"Harry Houdini has been dead for seventy-two years." Dr. Slate said bluntly in skepticism.
"Duh!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied back bluntly. "I'm a time traveler, how do you think I met him?"
"I'm sorry, did you say time travel?" Dr. Slate asked in surprise.
"It's a long and complicated story there." Ben said.
"Do you, like, know where Rusty is?" Asked the Valley Girl Doctor.
After a moment's hesitation, Dr. Slate replied. "He's at the space center. Dealing with the other supposed alien terrorist with the BGY-11."
"Oh, like, dealing with aliens is, like, my forte." The Valley Girl Doctor said casually. "I can help out with this!"
With that, the Valley Girl Doctor leapt out of her seat and bolted out of the room.
"Wait, where are you going?!" Dr. Slate called out to her.
"Gotta help the cute little robot dude!" The Time Lord responded back. "Ben, Polly, stay with Dr. Slate! Gotta get to the TARDIS!"
"But I…!" Ben sputtered before he sighed in resignation.
"Does she…?" Dr. Slate began to ask.
"She runs to do whatever she needs to do, yes." Polly replied-immediately picking up on Dr. Slate's question.
"What's even a TARDIS?" Dr. Slate then asked.
"You wouldn't believe us." Ben replied as he shook his head in disbelief.
"Try me." Dr. Slate said as she crossed her arms.
At the space center, the TARDIS materialized inside the facility hangar. The Valley Girl Doctor opened the doors and ran inside and looked around for either Rusty or the alien creature. She looked back and forth at first before she ran into a random direction to find him. As she looked around the empty center, she heard something familiar. Or someone.
"Oh great. You want to go easy on me because I'm small!" She heard a familiar voice whining. "They all do! Until they get a face full of…!"
She peered through the crate she hid herself carefully in as she eyed on Rusty as she saw him preparing to fire at the alien monster which was large, had one horn on his head and one eye, as well as green and scaly, like a rhinoceros and had hooves. That was until she saw the creature trying to communicate with the boy robot. As if it were pleading and the Valley Girl Doctor listened intently as she understood every word the alien creature had said. But he was soon interrupted by the presence of a large robot, white with blue lines and red eyes and had a cannon on his forearm-ready to fire. Despite Rusty's efforts, the monster and the robot, whom the Valley Girl Doctor figured was the BGY-11 Dr. Slate had mentioned earlier, had resumed their battle.
'Like, classic misunderstanding type deal.' The Valley Girl Doctor thought to herself. Her eyes narrowed in thought as she stood around thinking about what she had witnessed. With a click of her heels, she skated back to the TARDIS and the blue box dematerialized.
Later, General Thorton, Dr. Slate and Donovon had reconvened in the boardroom as they discussed the earlier incident of Rusty failing to detain the alien creature. Thanks to a certain scientist, she had managed to stuff a walkie talkie in her pocket for Ben and Polly to overhear what was going on to their concern. Dr. Slate had come to Rusty's defense but was soon interrupted by one of the soldiers who had informed Thorton that the terrorist had escaped via walkie talkie.
"Who left her unsupervised?" General Thorton demanded.
"She was not assigned a guard." Dr. Slate slightly lied.
"I heard that." A familiar voice said-displeased at the news.
Outside on top of the Quark Industries building, Cyclonus had lifted a soldier who had the walkie talkie in his hands much to the soldier's fear. The two Decepticons including Scourge had waited outside the building in full view. Cyclonus had arrived just as the soldier informed General Thorton the Valley Girl Doctor had escaped much to his annoyance.
"Perhaps we will do the job ourselves." Cyclonus said.
"Now, now, let's not panic." Donovon said in an assuring fashion, in his usual arrogant manner. "Not only does Rusty need a little back up but so will our new clients."
"Courtesy of our friends at Quark!" He added as Jenny snapped her fingers.
Descending from the bottom into the room on a platform, the doors opened to reveal the EP-327; ready for action.
Immediately, the prototype boy robot flew out of the building much to the surprise of both Decepticons as they expressed skeptically at the prospect of working with such a robot.
"Very well, we'll follow." Cyclonus spoke into the walkie talkie before he dropped the soldier as he landed on his butt.
With that, the two Decepticon flew away and transformed into their alternate flight modes.
"They had one job." Cyclonus groaned in annoyance to Scourge. "But no matter, we'll execute her ourselves wherever she is and the eliminate the rest,"
"Agreed." Scourge concurred.
As the BGY-11, aka the Big Guy, piloted the shuttle with Rusty accompanying him inside. Inside the robot himself, was its pilot, Lieutenant Dwayne Hunter, on a tiny video screen in the cockpit, General Thorton appeared after he received an update the alien creature was at a satellite bay.
"Lieutenant Hunter, considering the dire need to locate and eliminate the fugitive and arresting the other, I feel compelled to make a few additions to the roster."
Arriving on the shuttle in front of the view of Big Guy and Rusty was the EPR-27.
"EP-327, ready to eliminate the enemy, sir!" The prototype robot boy saluted.
"For the love of Mike." The Big Guy dryly groaned.
"Not Mike. Earl." Said Rusty. "He's my newest bestest pal."
To his confusion however, Cyclonus and Scourge showed and transformed back into their robot modes as they flew side by side with the Big Guy's shuttle.
"Hey, who are they?" Rusty asked-immediately fascinated by the presence of the transforming robots.
"Tagalongs." The Big Guy responded. "I'll explain later, son."
Lieutenant Hunter did not entirely buy the story of the Decepticons. Years of experience had taught him as to what could sound like a lie. Not helped by the appearance of the so-called fugitive he was shown.
At the radio telescopes bay in the desert, the TARDIS materialized behind one of the radio telescopes. Suddenly, she managed to spot Rusty and the creature conversing with each other behind one of the radio telescopes. She raced over to their location to finally intervene as thankfully for her, where she had the TARDIS transport to was not far from where they were.
"Rusty!"
The boy robot and the creature glanced at the source of the voice. The Valley Girl Doctor had finally caught up with them. The creature was anxious, unsure if she were friend or foe.
"Hey, hey!" The Valley Girl Doctor began to gently soothe the creature with a gentle tone in her voice. "It's cool! It's cool! Like, I'm not gonna hurt you."
The creature to Rusty's surprise was not only listening to her but understood her completely.
"Doctor?" Rusty asked the Time Lord. "How'd you get out? What are you even doing here?"
"Oh, like, it was, like, easy." The Valley Girl Doctor replied. "Plus, Dr. Slate, like, totally is on my side now."
"She must trust you a lot if she let you go." Rusty remarked in amazement.
"She's so cool like that!" Grinned the Valley Girl Doctor.
"But you can understand him?" Rusty asked the Doctor as he referred to the creature before him.
"Oh yeah!" The Valley Girl Doctor nodded. "Like, totally!"
She then gently approached the alien creature and asked, "Hey, buddy. So, can you, like, spill the beans what's the up and up? Name, whatever happened and, like, stuff?"
The creature began to converse in his own manner with his grunts and noises. The Valley Girl Doctor nodded along in understanding and did not stop until he pointed at a drawing he made of himself and a human shaped figure complete with a sun and a planet resembling a bit like Saturn and lines and arrows that seemed to represent a switch of some kind. As if both beings were switched. The monster even tore off the piece from the wall to give to Rusty.
"Ohhhhh!" The Valley Girl Doctor cried out in realization.
"What?" Asked Rusty out of curiosity.
"Well, like, first, he said his name is, like, completely hard to pronounce, so he, like, okay'd me nicknaming him so I'm just gonna, like, call him George." The Valley Girl Doctor replied. "Second, he said he, like, got here by accident…"
Suddenly, a small green beam zapped by her face which caused her to yelp in fright and the creature to run. Both Rusty and the Doctor saw it was the EP-327 robot boy who attempted to shoot him as like Rusty, he fired nucleoprotonic blasts.
"Hey, that was, like, rude!" The Valley Girl Doctor shouted in annoyance.
"Earl!" Rusty cried out as he held the art piece. "We can glue it back!"
"Conspiring with the enemy!" The EP-327 staunchly accused Rusty as he pointed at the runaway monster and the Doctor.
"What does conspiring mean?" Rusty asked.
"He better, like, not be talking about me." The Valley Girl Doctor scoffed in offense. "No offense, Rusty but, like, your friend is toxic."
The Vanity Girl Doctor yelped in surprise as the EP-327 fired at her too as she ducked and ran off.
As the Valley Girl Doctor ran off, she suddenly found herself blocked by Cyclonus and Scourge.
"We've finally caught you, Time Lord!" Cyclonus exclaimed.
"Have we, like, met?" The Valley Girl Doctor titled her head in confusion.
"Not technically but we know your reputation and met your other selves." Cyclonus replied.
"What do you-"
The Valley Girl Doctor yelped in fright again as she avoided the various blasts from Cyclonus and Scourge by running and jumping away. She had thought about using her skates but figured the desert ground would be unkind to her wheels.
Cyclonus and Scourge took every opportunity to fire at the ground in front of her in order to direct her for either Decepticon to make a clear shot.
"Hold still!" Scourge shouted as he fired at her again.
Finally, the Doctor ran over to one of the satellites. Cyclonus and Scourge were about to pursue until they heard her voice elsewhere from the right.
"I'm, like, over here, dingbots!"
Cyclonus and Scourge frowned on the insult.
"She is starting to get on my nerves." Scourge remarked.
"I agree, she's not exactly making this easy for us." Cyclonus concurred. "Nor tolerable."
The two Decepticons flew away while the Doctor walked away from another radio telescope she was hiding behind.
She smirked to herself as she was grateful to have learned ventriloquist lessons at some point as her first incarnation.
She then spotted the Big Guy and Rusty and to her dismay, Rusty appeared dejected.
"You're just lucky you don't have any human emotions, Big Guy." Rusty said. "I mess everything up!"
With that, he flew away in sadness. The Valley Girl Doctor could not help but feel bad for the little robot boy. But turned her attention back to the Big Guy as he held the art piece by the monster. She stared on in curiosity, wondering what was going on. But to her delight, she heard the words she hoped to hear.
"Space dog just wants to go home." The Big Guy said in realization.
"Yes!" The Valley Girl Doctor hissed and clenched her fists in victory-satisfied humans were beginning to see reason and believed Rusty.
Back at Quark Industries, Ben and Polly accompanied Dr. Slate into her office, especially being kept updated on the whereabouts of the Valley Girl Doctor, especially after Dr. Slate herself debrief them as to how everything worked, especially Big Guy and Rusty. Ben and Polly explained a bit of their previous poor experience with robotics between the WOTAN artificial intelligence and their first encounter with the Cybermen, something she expressed confusion over as well but assured them Big Guy and Rusty at least were not like them. Some other incidents were another story as she put it.
Dr. Slate, Ben and Polly eyed on the art piece the monster drew that Rusty had given the Big Guy to. The trio watched through the view screen much to the curiosity of not just Dwayne Hunter but also to the astonishment of Dr. Slate, Ben and Polly.
"So, who's this and what's with the circle?" Asked Dwayne Hunter as he referred to the portrait regarding the circle and the silhouette person.
"A monster drew that?" Ben asked in amazement.
"He doesn't appear to be mindless." Polly said.
"I'm sorry, who are you two?" Asked Dwayne, confused at the presence of the two people.
"It's a long story but they know The Doctor." Dr. Slate replied.
"And she's not a terrorist either." Ben added.
"Whoever told you so is no doubt lying to you." Polly added further.
"A group of robots called Decepticons lying to us? No kidding, Fred and Daphne." Dwayne sarcastically replied before adding in his normal tone. "But one thing at a time."
"Who are Fred and Daphne?" Ben asked Polly, who could only shrug in response as the cartoon Scooby Doo, Where Are You? Was two years before their time.
Finally, the four including Ben and Polly had figured out the creature's deal and the fact that the scientist who had run the Quantum Machine is simply trapped in another world upon trading places and that the machine was never at all sabotaged, only mis calibrated. Especially much to the relief of Ben and Polly, now that would not have to deal with anymore misunderstandings about the Doctor and the fact that Dwayne Hunter realized neither the creature nor the Doctor were terrorists.
Finally, with EP-327, he was too busy attempting to shoot at the creature who was busy defending himself.
The Valley Girl Doctor had taken notice but saw the Big Guy flying in between the prototype robot and the creature as he carried and showed the portrait to the creature as a sign of good faith and understanding.
"Surrender yourself peacefully, fella." The Big Guy said. "You're no Norman Rockwell, but we enjoyed your visual aid."
The creature sighed in relief as someone else finally understood him.
"Atta boy." The Big Guy said as he approached the creature calmly.
Their interaction was soon interrupted by a few nucleoprotonic blasts courtesy of the EP-327. The Valley Girl Doctor had been pleased with the scenario presented thus far until the prototype boy robot had commenced with trying to kill the monster.
Despite the Big Guy's best efforts to quell the situation and calm down the prototype robot boy, he was stuck in his ways to fulfill his orders.
"Defend the enemy, you are the enemy." He said as he literally had shot off the Big Guy's head.
The Valley Girl Doctor gasped in shock with her hands covering her mouth.
Back at Quark Industries, the video monitor screen on Dr. Slate's computer shorted out much to the dismay as Ben and Polly.
"Oh fantastic!" Ben groaned. "Now we won't know what's going with the Doctor!"
Back at the radio telescope bay, the monster defended himself briefly as he fired a laser blast from his single eye before running away with the EP-327 in pursuit. But immediately after, Cyclonus and Scourge had flown into the scene of the attack.
"Seems that other robot boy has done us a bit of a favor." Cyclonus remarked.
Dwayne Hunter still had managed to at least listen in on their conversation about his usual team of mechanics for the Big Guy had said they were on their way. But had a bad feeling there may not be any time left.
"Despite his crazed nature?" Scourge asked incredulously.
"Well, he's crazed as Galvatron undoubtedly." Cyclonus sighed. "Still, he has given us the perfect opportunity to destroy this 'Big Guy.'"
The Valley Girl Doctor gasped again and with a look of fierce determination on her face, she ran off back to her TARDIS as fast as she could.
"No doubt you could still hear us." Cyclonus said to the headless Big Guy. "One of our Soundwave variants had done research on your universe and informed us of very interesting things such as yourself."
He then added as he and Scourge aimed their laser pistols at the Big Guy, "You may think the Decepticon name is what you humans call a red flag but given your own little secret to that robot child; you are one to talk, fraud."
'Cat's out of the bag, huh?' Dwayne Hunter bitterly thought.
"Farewell, Mr. Hunter." Cyclonus said.
Dwayne Hunter despite his efforts to escape, he thought he would be resigned to his fate. That was until both Decepticons were knocked down immediately.
"Who dares?!" Cyclonus angrily snarled as he and Scourge stood up.
His eyes widened in surprise as he saw it was a TARDIS and bursting halfway through the doors was the Valley Girl Doctor herself.
"Come on, you metal tosser arseholes!" Screamed the Valley Girl Doctor in furious defiance. "Come and, like, get me!"
She closed the TARDIS doors as she raced back into the consoles as she plugged in the Nintendo power glove that was around her wait like a holster, via two cables plugged between it and underneath the console.
'Saved by the valley girl!' Dwayne Hunter laughed in disbelief but happy nevertheless.
The Valley Girl Doctor activated the power glove and began to press on the arrow keys to maneuver and pilot it to the fastest speed imaginable.
As the TARDIS took off across the landscape, Cyclonus and Scourge transformed into their alternate flight modes in hot pursuit.
"After her!" Cyclonus growled.
Later, and after promising to explain later about the presence of Ben and Polly, Rusty was sent to stop the EP-327 after General Thorton humbling admitted he was wrong to withdraw him from his mission and protect the monster, especially after the general was debriefed on what the monster really was and the Doctor herself. But Dr. Slate also had to inform him about the EP-327's design flaw in his programming as once he has been given orders, he will commence them regardless. So terminating him or ordering the prototype to withdraw was not viable. Nor was repairing the Big Guy in time. To Dr. Slate's pleasure, she smiled that Rusty was given a second chance.
"How about that?" Ben remarked, impressed. "The little robot boy really has human emotions."
"No wonder the Doctor loves your work." Polly concurred.
"Really?" Dr. Slate asked with interest.
Meanwhile, the monster had managed to escape from the radio telescopes and further into the desert as he was relentlessly pursued by the EP-327. He managed to get the creature down on the ground and as he was about to give the creature the finishing blow, Rusty had intervened and the two robot boys ended up having a brawl. Either rolling on the ground to forcibly remove each other's power packs or blasting each other as the two were evenly matched in such a department, right down to using the finger gun postures as they fired their nucleoproton blasts.
Above however, the Valley Girl Doctor inside her TARDIS was narrowly evading Cyclonus and Scourge. The relatively small exterior size of the blue box had proven to be more maneuverable than anticipated much to the dismay of both Decepticons as they fired continuously at her. With a few loops and zig zagging, she was able to outrun them. But hit a snag as three shuttle fighters who appeared similar to Scourge, fired at her. The Doctor was feeling overwhelmed and almost got shot at but had a plan. Especially as soon as she saw the Big Guy was now fully repaired, correctly assuming the mechanic team got to him on time.
She made a turn in his direction with the now five Decepticons pursuing her.
Just as Rusty had managed to achieve victory over his predecessor as he managed to shoot the EP-327 in the chest compartment and near his neck-powerful enough to literally blow his head off as the body fell to the ground on his back and the head rolling toward him.
Rusty at first frowned in a bit of pity but smiled at his victory. Especially just as the Big Guy flew in and fully repaired with his head back on.
"My kind of justice, poetic." Quipped the Big Guy.
Suddenly, they looked up to see the TARDIS much to the confusion of Rusty and inside the Big Guy, Dwayne Hunter as he now realized this was what the Valley Girl Doctor used to save him from the Decepticons. The TARDIS landed in between the duo but not before the now trio were now getting rained lasers upon them by Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps.
"Kill the Time Lord, Sweeps!" Cyclonus barked his order. "And no witnesses!"
"Time for some well-earned payback!" The Big Guy exclaimed as he fired an arm cannon at Cyclonus.
The Decepticon narrowly avoided the blast and transformed into his robot mode.
"The fraud is mine!" Cyclonus exclaimed to his fellow Decepticons.
"If it ain't the pot calling the kettle black!" The Big Guy quipped as he flew toward his opponent.
The two robots rained laser blasts upon each other with Rusty joining the fray just as Scourge and the Sweeps flew in to assist Cyclonus as they transformed into their robot modes. Even Big Guy resorted to launching missiles to which the Decepticons counter attacked by blasting said projectiles. Rusty even used his nucleoproton blasts on Scourge and the Sweeps.
"He is just a stupid child!" Screamed Scourge. "He should be easy to dismantle!"
"Comin' at ya!" Rusty shouted as he prepared to fire. But was distracted by one of the Sweeps firing at him. Rusty was starting to feel overwhelmed despite him continuing the fight.
Even the Big Guy tried to help him but was blocked by Cyclonus who now persisted in hand to hand combat; the two fighters evenly matched.
Rusty nevertheless persisted as he was now back on firing at Scourge and the Sweeps. Even managing to land a hit on one of their wings.
"I'm hit!" One of the Sweeps shouted in pain.
"Gotcha!" Rusty exclaimed excitedly.
But in response, Scourge punched him and he was flown back a few feet before Rusty managed to halt in midair and rejoin the fight as he fired more energy blasts at Scourge, who fired back in response before he delivered a punch to Scourge's face, something the Decepticon took major offense to.
On the ground, the Valley Girl Doctor burst through the TARDIS doors with what appeared to be a modified metal detector and wore her sonic sunglasses to boot. As well as a megaphone strapped under her left arm. At first, she looked back and forth for Big Guy and Rusty but then looked upward as she heard explosions and lasers from above. The battle had still been going for a while as she was busy with the device in her hands. With a facial tick that had her tongue stick out, she aimed the device carefully as to where to be sure which position worked so that Big Guy and Rusty would not get hit.
For added measure, she gently placed the device down and used her hands to angle her intent.
Satisfied, she set up the device with multiple stands and aimed the device upwards with the flat round of the metal detector being aimed at the choice of coordinates above where the battle was.
With one last adjustment, she then used the same cables she used the plug the power glove to the TARDIS console to insert them inside the bottom of the device. The Valley Girl Doctor to excitement could hear the device hum-almost activated.
As she placed the glove on her right hand again, she pressed her finger on the upper arrow key five times, pressed on the number five, pressed on the prog button, then the center button and select.
Before she could press her intended final button, she grabbed the megaphone and shouted.
"Big Guy, Rusty!" She shouted with her loud voice amplified by the megaphone.
The two heroic robots glanced at the Time Lord with the five Decepticons turning their attention to her.
"The fool has signed her death warrant!" Cyclonus grinned.
"Move out of the way!" The Valley Girl Doctor then shouted.
"Sir!" Dwayne Hunter heard Ben from the video screen, still with Polly and Dr. Slate. "If the Doctor has a plan, better do as she says!"
Polly nodded in agreement.
Big Guy in response, flew out of the way with Rusty following-unsure of why but trusted his hero nevertheless.
"Terminate her!" Cyclonus barked his order.
With that, the five Decepticons fired at her with a barrage of lasers heading toward her.
The Valley Girl Doctor grinned with a fearless expression on her face, as well as placing plugs inside her ears, she pressed the start button on the power glove.
Suddenly, with a loud boom, the device fired deafening sonic waves. Loud enough to shatter even the toughest of glass windows. And a force powerful enough to knock down the Valley Girl Doctor a few feet away. Nevertheless, she slowly sat up to see her handiwork.
The lasers even disintegrated somehow upon getting in contact with the sonic waves. Cyclonus and the four Decepticons were baffled and confused as to what had just happened. Until they were hit by extreme ultra sonic waves themselves. Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps screamed in pain as they could feel their robot armored bodies straining under the pressure.
"I feel like I'm coming apart!" One of the Sweeps screamed in pain.
Rusty stared in amazement while inside the Big Guy suit, Dwayne expressed amazement at what he saw before him. Even Dr. Slate and General Thorton were in stunned amazement at what the Doctor had just pulled off. Ben and Polly were not as they grinned with excitement.
Cyclonus roared in anger and irritation. He had been beaten and humiliated by one of the most hated targets of the Decepticons. And a variant, no less.
"I hate that Time Lord!" Cyclonus screamed with furious anger in his voice.
"We must retreat!" Cyclonus then shouted to his comrades. "Hurry!"
In fast agreement, Scourge and the Sweeps transformed into their alternate flight modes being the fighter shuttles and flew away instantly.
"WE'LL BE BACK, DOCTOR!" Cyclonus shook his fist in rage.
With that, he transformed into his futuristic jet mode and flew away in defeat.
Satisfied, the Doctor unplugged the power glove from the device and the device instantly shut off.
The Valley Girl Doctor smiled as she shrugged after taking off her sonic sunglasses and quipped, "Like, rock and roll."
"Talk about going out with a bang." The Big Guy quipped as he and Rusty approached the Time Lord.
"That was so awesome!" Rusty shouted with excitement. "How'd you do that?"
"I'm, like, a pro at this kind of thing!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied with a cheeky smile.
Suddenly, the Valley Girl Doctor was startled by the headless body of EP-327 bumping into her as he still had his arms outreached and running around like a headless chicken.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot!" Rusty said.
The robot boy approached the headless body and with the chest opened already to reveal the power pack and removed it-completely immobilizing EP-327 once and for all.
The Big Guy then gently approached the alien creature who had been literally lying low due to the chaos that was commenced earlier between the EP-327 hunting him down and the Decepticons firing. But upon seeing the shadow of Big Guy, he was relieved to see his new ally and appeared relieved the danger seemed to be over.
"Friend, you're going home." The Big Guy said to which the creature made a noise and expression of joy.
Later that day in the very same desert where the Quantum Machine was first tested with everyone including the Valley Girl Doctor, Ben and Polly present alongside the TARDIS. The Valley Girl Doctor was brought along especially in case something was to go wrong once again and might need her help. Earlier however, the Doctor had managed to transport Dr. Slate, Ben and Polly via the TARDIS as she made a quick return to retrieve them.
The Quark Industries scientist was understandably skeptical given the size of the blue box. But upon entering with Ben and Polly, after a few words of warning, Slate was shocked at the fact that the TARDIS was indeed "bigger on the inside" and made mention that the mere fact that such a thing exists would rewrite physics entirely. Much to the Valley Girl Doctor's excitement.
Nevertheless, she did retain her demeanor after getting over the initial shock as there was work to be done in sending the alien creature back to his homeworld.
"You're certain the details were exactly as they were when Dr. Kirby vanished?" Dr. Slate asked Donovon.
"Well, we had a row of tiki torches and I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt…" Donovon replied nonsensically.
"Be nice." Big Guy chided the head of Quark Industries.
"Kidding!" Donovon protested in his own defense.
"You owe me, like, an apology for thinking I was, like, a terrorist." The Valley Girl Doctor frowned at Donovon as she approached him in a curtly fashion. "And that, like, my big green friend got hunted down."
"Well, mistakes were made." Donovon sheepishly shrugged.
The Valley Girl Doctor crossed her arms and gave an irritated frown.
"Okay, okay!" Donovon cried out. "I'm sorry."
"That's better!" The Valley Girl Doctor smiled as she patted Donovon on his hair in a condescending fashion.
"Initiate launch sequence." Said Dr. Slate.
After everyone placed their goggles on, the machine finally began activating as the creature was about to walk through the vortex. But not before Rusty gave him a souvenir for the trip which was a drawing of him, Rusty and the head of EP-327 but Dr. Slate pulled him back so as to he would not get caught in the vortex but the creature managed to get the drawing regardless as he held it in his mouth.
"See ya, George!" The Valley Girl Doctor shouted as she waved goodbye.
Dr. Slate gave a look of incredulity upon hearing she gave the creature the name of George but had no time to digest that information as a series of bright lights commenced and as they dispersed and the dust cleared, the missing Dr. Kirby had at last arrived back, safe and unharmed.
"Hello, everyone!" Dr. Kirby greeted his colleagues with much relief.
He felt exhausted and perhaps a bit faint but Dr. Slate managed to catch him before he could fall on his back.
"Let's thank our lucky stars you were on the ball today, sport." The Big Guy complimented his partner as Rusty flew next to him on his eye level.
"It's a human thing, Big Guy." Rusty said. "You wouldn't understand."
"Whatever you say, kiddo." The Big Guy said with Dwayne underneath giving a soft smile.
"Rusty, always be, like, proud of your human emotions." The Valley Girl Doctor said to the boy robot. "It shows, you have, like a lot of heart."
"Thanks, Doc!" Rusty said as he gave the Valley Girl Doctor the thumbs, to which she returned back at him with a warm smile.
"Thank you again, erm, Doctor." Dr. Slate thanked the Time Lord as she shook her hand.
"Oh it's, like, no big deal." The Valley Girl Doctor giggled. "Although, I never did, like, get my autograph."
"I'm, like, such a huge fan of your work." She added as she gave the scientist a black marker and her fake ID.
"You don't say?" Dr. Slate inquired with interest as she signed the card, until she saw the fake ID that said "Dr. Slate's assistant."
To which the Quark Industries scientist could only react with utter amusement. That the simplest and most fraudulent thing was how she managed to get in Quark Industries without drawing any suspicion.
"I take it this is how you weren't caught at first?" Dr. Slate asked.
The Valley Girl Doctor could only respond by giggling and a shrug.
"But thank you, like, so much, Dr. Slate!" The Valley Girl Doctor hugged the scientist as she squeed much to Slate's surprise. "You are, like, one of my heroes!"
Dr. Slate softly laughed out of flattery, "You're welcome. But where are you off to next?"
"Oh like, here and there." The Valley Girl Doctor replied. "Always, like, another adventure waiting for me in time and space."
She tilted her head again in thought as she added, "It's like, a constant thing with me. Life and the universe are, like, super weird like that."
"Right." Dr. Slate remarked as she was unsure if adventures truly found the Time Lord or not.
"She's really something, we know." Ben said as he and Polly approached.
"You should try putting up with her love of this Madonna or Cyndi Lauper she always raves about." Polly concurred with her boyfriend.
As the trio enter the TARDIS, the Valley Girl Doctor waved her goodbyes as did her companions. To which much of the Quark Industries staff and Big Guy and Rusty returned the gesture.
"Keep on, like, being cool!" The Valley Girl Doctor exclaimed as she gave the peace sign and closed the TARDIS doors.
With that, the TARDIS dematerialized out of the desert.
"Did she…really get into that blue box?" Donovon asked out of confusion with Jenny appearing equally bemused.
"So, all of this was just to get Dr. Slate's autograph?" Ben asked the Doctor as she fiddled with the controls.
"Oh yeah!" The Valley Girl Doctor replied casually as she chewed her bubblegum again.
"What was so important about her?" Polly asked the Time Lord.
"Well, she's, like, gonna be important in, like, twenty years." The Valley Girl Doctor replied again. "Like first, she gets to become the head of Quark Industries. That Donovon guy got, like, fired finally after a vote from, like, shareholders. But her robotics stuff gets, like, super important."
She continued, "Like, she ended up advocated the rights of robotics with, like, emotional intelligence and stuff. Created more robot stuff that benefit mankind, and got, like, a Nobel Peace Prize for her scientific work in robotics. She's so, like, cool like that!"
"Oh, so no wonder you wanted to meet her so bad!" Ben remarked in realization.
"Totally!" The Valley Girl Doctor made a noise of excitement. "And I got to, like, meet her and, like, work with her!"
"Totally, like, such a bonus!" She added with an excited laugh.
"So, where do you, like, want to go to next?" The Valley Girl Doctor then asked Ben and Polly. "I'm thinking, like, Blackpool? Or even better? The opening of Mall of America! Think of, like, all the shopping I can do!"
"Actually, did I tell you, like, this one time I met Galileo and we were, like, so invested into…" She then began yet another of her trademark rambling stories before she paused dramatically. "Wait…"
"What?" Ben asked, a bit wary at his friend's dramatic pause.
"What is it, Doctor?" Polly asked, equally alarmed.
"That one guy's monkey." The Valley Girl Doctor replied.
"What about it?" Ben asked.
"How does she, like, talk?" The Valley Girl Doctor asked before she started again. "It's like this one time, I met this Caesar guy, he told me, like, his whole life story, he's, like, a chimpanzee and he has this, like, friend, named Maurice…"
"Oh Doctor…" Polly laughed.
Ben and Polly could only laugh and shake their heads as once again, the Time Lord went on with her rambling stories but the Doctor was still their friend in the end.
"I got to admit, she's pretty cool." Mei said as she and her friends had witnessed the events of one of the Valley Girl Doctor's adventures.
"Even if she says the word 'like' too much." Miriam concurred despite some quirks she was not immediately fond of.
"She should take down capitalism!" Abby exclaimed loudly.
"So, what's next for you now?" Priya asked the Watcher.
"Yeah, does she even meet the other Doctors?" Tyler asked as he threw in his two cents.
"That's certainly another story for another time." Uatu replied as the imagery changed to a meeting of the Valley Girl Doctor meeting the Fugitive and Thirteenth incarnations of the Doctor as they all eyed each other intently.
An image Mei and her friends stared in awe at.
"But like I said, that's another story." Uatu said.
Unknown Void
"I cannot believe we were beaten by a variant of that miserable Time Lord!" Scourge complained.
"Calm yourself, Scourge." Cyclonus said after he calmed down from his initial rage against the Valley Girl Doctor.
"How can you be so calm after what we just went through?!" Scourge asked.
"We will get another shot at that annoying variant soon." Cyclonus said. "In the meantime, we still have other Doctors to assassinate in a few of our assignments but rest assured, that variant will have her time at death's doors."
"In the meantime, the War Monger has assigned us another Doctor to destroy." Cyclonus added.
"Who is it this time?" Scourge asked.
"The fifth incarnation from the Time Lord's main universe." Cyclonus replied. "Hopefully he won't be as irritable to destroy."
Earth-091899: Quark Industries, Three Months Later
Dr. Slate had a long day given despite the defeat of the Legion Ex Machina, there was still the number seven to look for. But nevertheless, she went back to her own laboratory. The day didn't end badly but it was exhausting. But she remembered one thing just out of the blue, the whole ordeal of riding in the TARDIS from a few months ago was something she was never going to forget about, given such a machine could rewrite science books forever.
But suddenly, shadows instantly grabbed her and lifted her off the ground much to her shock. One of the shadows managed to cover her mouth in order to prevent her screaming. Walking out of the shadows in front of her was a young woman with brown skin, platinum blonde hair and in silver and red armor and accompanying her was…another Dr. Erika Slate, much to the shock of the real Dr. Erika Slate.
"Scan her." Tazma ordered the duplicate Dr. Slate.
The Dr. Slate duplicate scanned her from top to bottom as she looked up and down and then straight ahead as she stared at her eyes.
"Scan complete." The Dr. Slate duplicate replied in a monotone voice.
"Do you like it, Dr. Slate?" Tazma asked as she sadistically smiled as she leaned against the scientist's duplicate very casually. "I argue it's a very good likeness."
"The wonders the Daleks can do when they make their own androids." She added with a smirk on her face. "The most advanced than usual I should say. And frankly, the Daleks need your help."
Dr. Slate made a muffled noise that could be interpreted as her asking, "What?"
"It's simple, Dr. Slate." Said a brown-haired man in dark clothing as he entered from the right. "The Daleks have a project in mind that let's just say will combat larger than life enemies such as the Autobots or this…Ultraman, the Daleks have encountered recently."
"And Mr. Smythe has taken part in an important project for such an occasion but, he is going to need help." He added as he held up his index whilst pacing in front of Dr. Slate. "Which is where you come in! For the Dalek Multiversal Strategist has elected you as one of his choices to work on such a project."
"THAT-IS-COR-RECT."
The voice had come a being in what appeared to be akin to an armored tank of sorts with a gun and a plunger-like device and a single eye and light bulbs as its "ears." But its armor was a variety of colors and several energy rings around its upper casing.
"YOU-ARE-AMONG-THE-CHOIC-CES-TO-ASSIST-THE-DAL-LEK-RACE-ON-SUCH-A-PRO-JECT." Said the Dalek Multiversal Strategist in a calm tone that Dr. Slate, despite her skepticism on his appearance, sounded very unnerving.
"THE-DAL-LEK-RACE-MUST-AL-WAYS-BE-PRE-PARED-AND-OUT-CLASS-ALL-ENE-MIES-OF-THE-DAL-LEKS." He added. 'WE-CAN-NOT-ALLOW-SUS-PIC-CION-TO-ARISE."
"Hence, this android." Maximus said. "A remarkable piece of technology from the Daleks that can copy everything about its subject. Mannerisms, knowledge…"
"Even memories, voices and patterns." Tazma added with a dark smile. "Everything it knows about you, it can copy."
Dr. Slate appeared horrified at the fact that they had apparently thought everything through. But then resumed to appear defiant.
"I believe she wants to say something." Maximus said to Tazma.
"Very well." Tazma said as she allowed one of the shadows to disperse-freeing Dr. Slate's mouth.
"You may have the technology," Said Dr. Slate. "But not only is someone eventually going to realize I'm missing, but I highly doubt your android duplicate will be that perfect."
"You may have everything about me down but I doubt your androids can perfectly duplicate human emotions to a T." She added, still defiant.
"Even if they realize you're missing, it'll be too late." Maximus smirked.
"And now, best we're off." Tazma said as she gave an evil smirk as a shadow covered Dr. Slate's mouth once again. "Oh, and I do hope you like your first taste of magic."
"The multiverse is a far bigger place than you can ever imagine." She added much to the shock of Dr. Slate upon the actual existence of the multiverse.
"COME." The Dalek Multiversal Strategist said. "WE-MUST-TAKE-OUR-LEAVE."
"AND-YOU," The Dalek Multiversal Strategist then addressed the Dr. Slate android duplicate. "YOU-ARE-TO-RE-MAIN-HERE-AS-OR-DERED."
He then added, "LEAVE-NO-ONE-SUS-PIS-CIOUS. DO-AS-SHE-WOULD-DO-UNTIL-FUR-THER-OR-DERS. IT-THAT-UNDER-STOOD?"
"Yes, Dalek master." The Dr. Slate android duplicate nodded before raising her right hand and said, "Hail the Dalek empire."
With that, a portal opened with the Dalek Multiversal Strategist and Maximus entering the portal, followed by Tazma as she dragged Dr. Slate by motioning her shadow magic to bring her to the portal despite her efforts to break free. As the portal closed and dispersed, the Dr. Slate duplicate was completely alone and by herself. And proceeded to imitate what the actual Dr. Slate would do as she went to work on another piece of robotic technology upon sitting at her desk in her workshop.
One thing was for sure however, Dr. Slate, the actual Dr. Slate; was determined to escape and warn her universe of the Daleks and their presence no matter what.
Chapter 2: Author's Notes
Chapter Text
And now, some behind the scenes!
- So, the origins of the Valley Girl Doctor.
This started as a Pre-Hartnell incarnation Doctor which I thought of way back in 2020 before I got involved with Infinity Crisis, when Series 12 had recently aired, especially the Fugitive Doctor and Timeless Child stuff had kicked in finally. And during this, given this was during the pandemic, it had given me an excuse to binge on a show like The Goldbergs and by the time I hit season 4 or I rewatched episodes of that, can't remember, there was a supporting character that was introduced for the stuff with Erica in college as there was a Valley Girl also named Erica. The character ended up being very funny to me and at some point, the two thoughts crossed paths and clashed as I ended up thinking "What if there's a Pre-Hartnell Doctor who was a Valley Girl?"
The initial idea was she laid low working at a fashion shop in the 80s, her friend/companion is a Native American woman (an idea I intend to visit down the line someday) and the original plot involved the 13th Doctor and her companions teaming up with Doctor Strange to look for her help to prevent a major apocalypse in 2012 and a friend of mine, DeeDee, thought of Immortus as the villain.
I went so far as to find an artist, whose username on Instagram at least is _Into_The_Deep, major thank you to the artist for drawing her, and randomly found her on Tumblr and did requests for free. So I told her about this variant of the Doctor, who she looked like and image references I had including a specific influence and when she presented the artwork, I was floored as this was exactly the incarnation I pictured in my mind so, a definitely special thank you to _Into_The_Deep for the drawings.
I didn't think much until I decided in February to bring up the incarnation to the Infinity Crisis Discord chat and admittedly, I expected her to be shot down immediately. Probably because the concept is too crazy and over the top, pretty silly. I fully expected that to be the reaction and I was ready to think "Oh well, at least I pitched her" and move on. But to my ever shock and surprise, a lot of the members were on board, Batguy01 seemed to really love the idea in particular. So I was pleasantly surprised and with him, I basically workshopped the idea and in a way, refining her but he put in a lot of input. For example, it was his idea to make her a variant of the Doctor and even have Ben and Polly be the companions, so essentially she's an alternate Second Doctor.
- Speaking of Batguy01, he deserves a lot of the credit as a Co-Creator as he did inform a lot about the variant the more I was workshopping her in the chat. So he deserves credit for a lot about this variant and I'm grateful to him for it. He also suggested the What If one shot which is essentially my backdoor pilot for this Doctor variant and the origins such as the point of divergence. Then there's his inspiration for suggesting that divergence when he was recommended by Marcus Lazurus being the What If fanfic of Bella Ramsey being the 10th Doctor and third, suggesting the companions be Ben and Polly.
- While I have plans with Batguy01 to do an origin of the Valley Girl Doctor being a Power of the Daleks rewrite which I need to schedule when to write it but I promise him and everyone it'll come, just a matter of when because there are other ideas I want to get to. But I wanted to get a backdoor pilot going to establish who this variant is, what does she act like and so forth. And in this case, I definitely encourage other writers to use the Valley Girl Doctor now that I finally wrote this. I wanted to establish certain things like her personality, her quirks, interests, etc. I wanted to establish her catchphrase being "Ohmigosh!" Her constant ramblings of stories, her gum chewing being a thing with her, her devices of choice like the sneakers with skates when she clicks her heels together, sonic sunglasses (another Batguy01 suggestion, though I picked them being aviators) and the Nintendo Power Glove. As well as her escaping hand cuffs being a running thing with her that she does it, even despite people looking directly at her.
There's her being a major fangirl of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper as well as a lover of all things 80s and its fashion. Plus a love of shopping.
- It took a while to decide what the backdoor pilot was going to be like. I knew it was going to be insert the variant into an episode of a series much like the First Doctor and his companions being inserted into the Party Thor episode of What If being Infinity Crisis Aftermath: The Greatest Party in the Galaxy.
It's an idea I'm quite fond of and want to try multiple times. But basically, I knew I wanted a 90s cartoon to contrast with the variant being 80s themed, especially for comedic effect. I thought about Godzilla: The Series and Men in Black: The Series, even the 90s Pippi Longstocking cartoon. I thought if I picked Godzilla: The Series, I'd pick the episode Lizard Season. Even thought of a set piece of the Valley Girl Doctor in a mech fighting the episode's antagonists.
I did actually consider combining both the idea of a backdoor pilot and a Superman tribute with the DCAU Superman. I did think of ideas so far and even was getting into it but I think in retrospect, it wouldn't have been right to combine the two on the account if I was making a Superman tribute, this new variant would have just taken attention away and I don't think that would have worked out. It's an idea I will revisit at some point but yeah. Superman tribute is still separate from this.
One idea from that did remain in this however and that's Cyclonus and Scourge being the villains as I wanted to follow up on the Decepticons and the Council of Megatrons wanting all living Time Lords wiped out including the Doctor.
But out of the blue, I remembered Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot and just…click. It was like, "that's it!"
- With Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, it was between the episodes Sibling Mine and Harddrive, the former won out since it seemed more "Doctor Who-esque", like, it seemed like you could do that story in an actual Doctor Who episode, mainly the monster switching places with a scientist and wants to get back home type of deal. Thinking about it, it would fit as a Third Doctor story or even for 12 or 13. Even 11. Maybe even 4.
- Some things I had to streamline however between Uatu summing up a key scene and summarizing the events of the Sibling Mine episode were done for pacing reasons. I didn't want it to run too long. There's dialogue from the episode I kept out of what I felt was necessity but not too much.
- The idea of Cyclonus and Scourge deceiving the Quark Industries people and the military is something inspired by the movie Bumblebee and paid homage to that here. And I felt since Cyclonus is a warrior and smarter with strategy at least, he'd consider this kind of option.
- Reference to Men in Black again.
- Soundwave variant is the one from Transformers Prime. Something DinoMatt from the Discord chat reminded at some point. So, special thank you to him for that.
- The Valley Girl Doctor being introduced with singing and dancing to Corey Hart's Never Surrender was inspired by the episode of What If with young Peter Quill on Earth when a young Hope Van Dyne sings and dance to the song. Definitely paying homage to I admit.
- Batguy01 suggested that one moment of dialogue for Dr. Slate, Ben and Polly that I managed to work in word for word.
- Batguy01 suggested a "Daphne and Fred" reference and I did forget to put that but I did manage to find a place for it in the end.
- Cyclonus calling the Big Guy a fraud is a remnant and carryover from when I considered the other episode of Big Guy and Rusty. I always intended for Cyclonus to figure out he wasn't really a robot.
- I had to look up 80s UK insults for that moment of the Valley Girl Doctor telling off Cyclonus and Scourge.
- The one thing that was tricky was how to make the Valley Girl Doctor a hero without making Big Guy and Rusty look bad, so what I was hoping I'd put in a few moments where they held themselves well against Decepticons until she shows up to save the day.
- The Nintendo Power Glove, I call it the Valley Girl Doctor's all purpose Power Glove which is another thing for writers to take note of if they wish to write her to get that one, she's an inventor and two, she uses the Power Glove for anything.
- Originally, I had envisioned a moment of the Valley Girl Doctor telling Dr. Slate that she knows the Big Guy isn't really a living robot but doesn't tell Rusty on the account he looked up to the Big Guy like Santa Claus, so she gets it. But unfortunately, it didn't seem like there was enough room to include that without feeling tacked on. So to my disappointment, I cut the line.
- The mention of Blackpool is my reference to the cut final line of the Sixth Doctor in Revelation of the Daleks when he proposed to take Peri to Blackpool. Which I have in mind as a running theme every time I write any incarnation or variant of the Doctor.
- The Valley Girl Doctor's line about the talking monkey Jenny was something last minute as I had forgotten to include that at least and found a place.
- In a bit of a funny coincidence, as I wrote this one shot, in the Discord chat, TomtomtheWriter had brought up a giant mech sized Dalek that was a fan comic Second Empire by MechMaster. Which I thought was an interesting idea and I got inspired when I thought of the second stinger. Then he wrote The Duelist Doctor and there was that stinger with the Daleks and Ultraman and what they intend to do next, I took it a sign to move forward with the second stinger idea full speed ahead.
Well, that's everything and I hope you all enjoyed the one shot. Keep on being cool and keep an eye out for future Infinity Crisis one shots of mine. See ya soon!
