Chapter 1: Confusion
Chapter Text
It was a normal day in the Forsaken realm, and surprisingly, the survivors were winning each round smoothly, and The Spectre didn’t like that. How were they doing so well? It needed to find a way to twist it. I mean, it was getting bored of the same thing, so… Why not spice things up a little?
It chuckled to itself, before looking at his hacking panel to see the survivors. Maybe it could mess with one of them…
007n7? Nah. It didn’t really like to mess with him anyway. He was already doomed.
Chance? They already gambled their life away each round. It liked seeing whether Chance was lucky enough to shoot his gun, kill himself or it would do just nothing. It was funny to it.
Two Time? They were already insane in the membrane. Their past was funny. Sacrificing a fellow lover just for their own needs and their cult. Hah. How stupid were they?
Guest 1337? The Spectre clenched its jaw, rolling its eyes. It hated Guest. More than it hated Robloxia, and that was something. It’d rather die than have to do something that involved Guest.
Taph? Booooring.
Dusekkar? Those stupid rhymes of theirs. The Spectre hated them. It had to nerf Dusekkar so much too, so messing with them would only potentially cause some exit to appear.
Shedletsky? It’s not even gonna bother.
Builderman? Hah, imagine… It’d love to see that one in pain. CEO of Robloxia and can’t handle some pain… Heh.
Noob? They were already constantly nervous. Sure, it’d be funny to see the others worry about them, but it wouldn’t matter. Noob was boring.
Elliot?
…
He might be it.
The Spectre laughed to itself. Elliot was perfect. It wanted something that could set everybody into panic. And it knew exactly what to do. It couldn’t bring children into this hell, but it could modify a survivor. It pulled out Elliot’s ‘code’, it liked to call it, and started making some changes. Once it was finished, it saved, and teleported Elliot outside the cabin.
It smiled, starting to spectate the survivors.
—
Guest punched Jason square in the face, a sickening crunch as Jason’s mask slightly broke. It stunned the killer, so Guest immediately took this chance to run away, losing Jason. Everyone was still alive, somehow. Only a few seconds were left on the clock. Guest turned a corner, running over to where Builderman’s sentry was as Jason recovered and used his racing page to track down Guest.
10 seconds…
Guest ran as fast as he could, his lungs burning. His legs wanted to give up, his body ached for rest. But he knew better than to quit now.
5 seconds…
Guest reached the sentry, looking behind him as he heard the sentry going off.
3 seconds…
“TAKE A CHANCE WITH CHAAAAANCE, BABYYYY!” Chance singed, pulling out his gun, aiming and successfully shooting Jason, which stunned him.
0 seconds.
THE SURVIVORS HAVE WON THE GAME.
They all appeared sitting down on the table. Everyone was exhausted and sweaty. Lucky for them, that was the last round they had to go through. Everyone was so relieved. Until everyone noticed a missing face, who hadn’t respawned with them.
“Where’s Elliot?!” Chance said, seeing the chair Elliot always appeared in didn’t have Elliot sitting down.
“What the—” Shedletsky stood up, his eyes widening. “Did he not respawn?! Were any of you with Elliot around the end?!” He asked, looking around. Builderman raised a hand, his voice shaky with concern.
“I-I was. He said he wasn’t feelin’ well and that his head was poundin’ around the last seconds of the match.” Builderman said. Did The Spectre kill him? “D-d-did the S-spectre–” Noob hesitated, letting the words hang.
“He couldn’t! We all respawn. It’s probably m-messing with us. We gotta find him.” Chance yelled, not wanting to believe the other possibilities. The usual smirk on his face was gone, his face filled with worry, anger and disbelief.
—
Elliot woke up in the grass, shaking. He curled up into a ball, the cold wind hitting him. He didn’t remember how he got there. He didn’t remember anything, actually. He knew his name was Elliot. How old was he again?
Uhmm… Elliot thought, before deciding to get up and look where he was. He stood up, but only collapsed back down. His legs hurt so bad, and his body was too small for this cold. He wrapped his arms around him, starting to sob, hoping someone would hear him.
Cold tears streamed down his cheeks, stomping and kicking as his arms were wrapped around his torso. He hiccuped, trying to breath but only breaking into sobs. His small body shook with every sob, screaming and wailing as the red visor on his hat tilted. His vision was blurry, and he couldn’t make out most things. He looked at the sky, seeing how dead it looked.
The sky was pitch black, some stars in the sky. Yet, it felt unnatural. The wind was heavy and cold. He felt like it was tormenting him. The grass was wet, every stomp and kick he did on the grass was met with a squelching sound, the mud getting on his pants and shoes.
He didn’t feel safe. He wanted to go home.
Home.
Where was home?
He… He doesn’t remember anything.
He feels like he should.
Is there something he’s forgetting?
Elliot’s sobs grew louder, seeming as if they echoed. Was anyone coming to save him? Mommy? Daddy? Sissy?
—
Builderman walked around outside, trying to help look for Elliot. He’d been looking for a while now. He fixed his hat… Perhaps he should head—
And that’s when he heard it.
Crying.
But it wasn't an adult crying, no.
It sounded like a kid.
Builderman’s eyes widened, and he immediately tried to follow where the crying was coming. Luckily for him, the crying got louder, so it was easier to detect where it came from. He spotted a little kid crying, their arms wrapped around their torso. Builderman immediately ran closer to the kid, his expression one of worry.
Elliot looked at the sudden figure coming up to him, and he immediately put his hands to block his face, in case he would get hit. “G-go! Don’t hurt!” he sobbed, shutting his eyes tight as he backed away, still sitting. Builderman stopped, before leaning down, trying to get the kid to calm down.
“Hey, hey kid. ‘M not goin’ to hurt ya.” He said, getting on one knee as Elliot looked at him, putting his hands down as his sobs grew quieter until they completely stopped. “No hurt…?” He asked, gripping his pants. Builderman shook his hands, coming closer to him as he ruffled the kids' hair.
“Nope.” He chuckled. This kid… Looked exactly like Elliot. The red visor, the black pants, the uniform… Could it be?
“Mmm…” Elliot squeaked, letting Builderman ruffle his hair. He reached out with both hands, waiting for Builderman to pick him up. “Uppie?” He asked, tilting his head. Builderman nodded, picking the kid up effortlessly. Elliot giggled, wiping his tears away.
Builderman sighed, looking at the kid in his arms. “Let’s get ya sum’ comfy blankets and yum food, huh?” he said, raising a brow. Elliot nodded, cheering. “Yeah!” Builderman chuckled at the kids' excited demeanor, almost forgetting about the killers and the danger that surrounded them.
As they walked, Elliot grabbed Builderman’s hat curiously, starting to bite on it. He winced, but still bit on it to cure his boredom. Builderman raised a brow, but it was normal for kids to bite on stuff.
Builderman reached the cabin, sighing. God…
He opened the cabin door, and the others looked over at him, their eyes widening. “So, I found this kid while lookin’ for Ell.” He said, closing the door and walking to the couch where the others were. He placed the kid down on the cushion, seeing the others with their jaws dropped.
“We’re sure this isn’t Elliot himself?” Shedletsky said, looking at the kid, who looked EXACTLY like Elliot, then at Builderman. “I dunno.” He said, shrugging as he sat down on a chair.
Everyone sat in shocked silence, before Elliot looked up at all of them, not liking how everyone’s eyes were on him. He curled up into a ball, holding onto Builderman’s hat with his tiny hands as he tried to cover himself. “Mmm…” He shifted uncomfortably, looking back up at the others.
Chance immediately noticed, sitting down on the floor next to Elliot. “Hey kid,” he started. Elliot looked at him, seeming like he was about to cry. “I know this seems scary. But you’re safe, ‘kay?” he comforted. Elliot uncurled himself, sitting normally. He nodded, trying to hold back his tears.
“Close your eyes,” Elliot did what he was told, closing his eyes. “Now take 5 deep breaths. Inhale…” Chance said, doing it with him. Elliot nodded, taking deep breaths with Chance. Once he finished, his tears stopped. He opened his eyes, and Chance smiled at him. “Good job, kid.” He cheered, ruffling the kid’s hair. Sure, Elliot loved when his hair would get ruffled, it made him happy.
But his hair was already a mess because of the grey construction guy doing it to him, and now this also grey guy with shades! Hmph.
The others watched as Chance managed to calm down the kid, not really believing he could do that.
After a few minutes of silence, Shedletsky spoke up. “Hey, kiddo.” he said, and Elliot looked at the guy with big wings. He tilted his head, waiting for Shedletsky to keep going. “We can’t call you kid and kiddo forever, ya know?” He joked, but he was also serious. “You got a name as cute as you?” he poked Elliot’s nose, earning a giggle out of it.
Elliot thought, before remembering his name. “Elliot!” he said, a wide smile on his face. Everyone froze.
It was confirmed.
The kid in front of them, was in fact Elliot.
But… How?
A wave of panic hit them all. If Elliot was a kid, he wouldn’t remember anything. He’s going to have to go through these rounds.
Shit.
Two Time smiled at the kid, speaking up. “Well, hello Elliot! The Spawn gave you quite a nice name, huh? Of course, you don’t know our names either, I assume?” Elliot gulped, seeming a bit uncomfortable with Two Time’s eerie presence. He shook his head, speaking. “Nooo… I want name.” He commanded, wanting to know everyone’s names.
Dusekkar chuckled, speaking. “I speak in riddles near and far, and dance through dreams—I am Dusekkar.” They said, bowing jokingly at Elliot. Elliot giggled, speaking. “Funny!”
Just as Chance was about to speak, Elliot shushed him, covering his mouth with his hand. “Shh! No you yet!” He said, seeming serious. The others laughed as Elliot shut him up, and Chance nodded, his laughter muffled. Elliot looked around the room, his hands landing on the blue haired soldier. He pointed at him with his free hand.
“You?” He asked, tilting his head as if this was an interview. Guest chuckled, a leg over his knee. “I’m Guest 1337, but you can just call me Guest, young man.”
And that’s how it went for a few minutes, with Shedletsky having to translate Taph’s signs since Elliot didn’t understand.
—
Elliot was sitting on the dinner table, eating a slice of pizza.
Everyone else sat on the couch, trying to process this.
“Alright, so, Elliot has turned into a KID. What are we gonna do? Our healer is turned into a kid, who knows if he even has the same abilities? And what are we gonna do about the rounds? We’re gonna have to protect him. No kid should go through this hell.” Chance said, bouncing his leg up and down.
Everyone agreed, mentally preparing themselves for this. Elliot walked out the kitchen, wiping his mouth with his hand. He looked at the others, seeing as they were talking, and he got a bright idea.
He sneaked up behind them, making sure he wasn’t visible, and when it was silent he jumped out, yelling “BOO!”
…
It was silent for a second, the others seeing as Elliot tried to scare them. Elliot tilted his head confused. He started tearing up, a frown on his face. And, without the others being given a second to breathe, he started wailing.
The others immediately panicked, trying to calm him down.
“Wait, kid– don’t cry!” Shedletsky said, kneeling down. Elliot sat on the floor, sobbing. It didn’t work! Why weren’t they scared?!
Two Time spoke up, trying to comfort the crying child. “Do not cry, Elliot. The Spawn and us are scared! We just don’t show it well…” They said, their usual manic smile on their face. Elliot only started crying more, his body shaking.
Shedletsky glared at Two Time, before picking Elliot up and cradling him in his arms. He rocked Elliot back and forth, sitting down with Elliot in his lap. Elliot didn’t calm down, only sobbed harder. Everyone looked at each other, not quite knowing what to do. Seven reached out, picking Elliot up.
He hummed a lullaby, his voice soft and gentle.
“Rock-a-bye baby, on the tree top…”
Elliot’s sobs were loud, but quieter than before. His gaze shifted onto Seven, wrapping his arms around Seven. Seven cradled him, rocking him back and forth.
“When the wind blows, the cradle will rock.”
Elliot’s cries grew quieter till they turned into hiccups. Tears still streamed down his face, but it was slowly coming to a stop.
“If the bough breaks, the cradle will fall…”
Elliot nuzzled his face into Seven’s chest, his breathing starting to slow as he started to finally calm.
“Mother will catch you, cradle and all.”
Seven finished, seeing as Elliot was calm now.
“Feel better?” He asked, patting Elliot’s back.
Elliot nodded, sniffling as he wiped his nose. He put Elliot back down on the couch, sighing. The others sighed in relief, silently thanking Seven.
Elliot crawled over to Chance, sitting down on his lap as he played with Chance’s shades. Chance chuckled, playfully smacking Elliot’s hand away. “Hands off the merchandise!” He pulled Elliot up into the air, managing giggles out of Elliot. “Up!!”
The others watched, a soft smile on their faces. It was nice to not be crushed and stabbed and killed all the time.
…Right.
The rounds…
Guest 1337 fidgeted with his fingers. He was going to protect Elliot and everyone else. Especially Elliot now, considering his vulnerability. He wouldn’t let a kid go through the pain of the rounds.
Elliot yawned mid air, catching the others' attention. “Tired?” Guest asked, smiling. “Nooo! I stay awake!” Elliot said, getting sat down on Chance’s lap again. “No can do, mister.” Guest said, smiling. “You gotta sleep, it’s late.”
“Nooo!” he pouted, sticking his tongue out. Chance chuckled, smirking. “Elliot, he has a point. You need sleep to be all active tomorrow.” Chance said, petting Elliot. Elliot was about to complain, before coming up with a bright idea. He got up, before running to nowhere in particular.. “Catch if you can!” He yelled, before running out of sight in the cabin.
“Shit.” They all said, looking at Shedletsky. “Shed. Go catch him.”
“Why m– yeah, whatever.” He said, before getting up and chasing after Elliot.
—
After around 20 minutes, Shedletsky came back, dragging an Elliot by his hand. Shedletsky looked rough, sweaty. Jesus.
“I got him.” Shedletsky said, giving him over to Chance. Chance chuckled, seeing how mad Elliot looked. Elliot pouted, crossing his arms across his chest.
“Hmph!” Elliot pouted, glaring at Shedletsky. Shedletsky stuck his tongue out at Elliot, sitting back down. “I feel like there’s two kids here, ‘n’ there’s only one.” Builderman sighed.
Elliot’s eyelids drooped, despite him trying to stay awake. “‘M nooo tire…d…” Elliot muttered. Before he knew it, he closed his eyes, falling asleep in Chance’s arms despite all the pouting.
“Yeah, definitely not tired.” Chance chuckled, shaking his head.

Chapter Text
Elliot shifted, moving around. He slowly opened his eyes, waking up from his slumber. He looked around, trying to make sense of where he was. This room felt… Oddly familiar. He tried to think back, had he been here before? Mm. He couldn't remember. He looked over at a clock on the nightstand next to the bed.
7:12 AM
Elliot squinted his eyes, looking out the window. It was still dark! But it was 7 AM… The sun should be up. Did the sun oversleep? Oh no! “Noo… It wake up later…” Elliot reassured himself, before deciding to go to the grown ups. He got up, almost stumbling over himself. He noticed he was still in the clothes from yesterday… No PJs? Mm.
He walked out barefoot, not being able to find his shoes or socks. He looked at the forest nearby, and a shiver went down his spine. He didn't like how it looked! Scary!! He ran over to the main cabin, stumbling on his feet. Before he could hit the wooden floor, a hand caught him by the shirt. “Careful, Ell!” Elliot looked behind him, seeing the Hans… Hance… Chance! Seeing Mr. Chance. Elliot stood up with Chance's help, dusting off his shirt and pants. He nodded, bowing politely. “Thank you, Mr. Chance!” He said, looking at Chance nervously.
Chance tilted his head in a bowing manner, chuckling. “Why, of course Mr. Elliot.” He teased, ruffling the kids' hair. Elliot grumbled, and so did his stomach. He spoke up, scratching his head. “I hungry.” He said, tugging on Chance's suit. “Hmmm…” Chance hummed, before getting a bright idea. “Okay kid, the other grown ups are in the kitchen, so if you want food, go up to them and yell ‘fuck’.”
Elliot tilted his head, seeming hesitant. “Is word bad? Sound bad…” He asked, worried. “Nope! It just means… Food! In Latin.” He lied, snickering. “Ooo… Okay, I go! You watch?” He cheered, oblivious. “Yeah, I'll watch.” Elliot nodded, before running over to the kitchen, Chance a few feet away. The others noticed Elliot running in, and greeted him.
“G-good M-morning, Elliot—” Noob was abruptly cut off by Elliot cheering, his voice filled with pure joy.
“FUCK!”
…
The room fell quiet, until it was broken by muffled laughter coming a few feet behind Elliot. Everyone turned their head towards Chance, who took his hand off his mouth to speak. “Good job, Elliot. Tell them what it means.” Elliot nodded, turning back to the others. “Fuck mean Food in Latin! Chance told to say cause I hungry.” He exclaimed. Everyone looked over at Chance, giving him a death glare. Chance just chuckled, coming closer to lift Elliot up in the air. “C'mon, it was funny! Right, Ells?” Chance said, looking at Elliot. Elliot looked down, tilting his head in confusion before shrugging.
—
Elliot sat on one of the chairs, happily eating some left over pizza. Chance was getting his ass beat by Builderman outside, and everyone else was watching over Elliot. Elliot looked up, raising a brow at everyone staring. “Why everybody staring at me?” He asked, not understanding anything. The others sighed, and Guest 1337 spoke up. “Elliot,” he started, his tone soft. “Can you do us a favor?” He asked, petting Elliot. Elliot nodded, seeming determined.
“Okay, close your eyes and cover your ears, like this.” He said, doing it, then opening his eyes. “Only for a minute, okay?” He said, and Elliot nodded, doing exactly what he was told.
He felt his surroundings starting to warp, and he held his breath. What was going on? Why was everything moving? He has to follow instructions… He can't look! Follow the rules, Ell!! He told himself. After a minute, he opened his eyes, seeing as if he was in some sort of carnival. He saw drawings of some red scary monster, and he let out a squealed chirp. He noticed no one was around, so he started walking around. He heard commotion, so he decided to go to it just in case he found the adults.
He turned the corner, only to be met with a green, big monster with his insides showing. He froze, paralyzed in fear. The big monster turned around, spotting the small child, before she started cackling. Elliot gulped before screaming loudly. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” He ran, and just as the monster was about to catch up with him, he was scooped up into someone's arms. Elliot looked up, seeing as the person who picked him up was Builderman.
Builderman dodged the attacks, comforting Elliot. After a while of dodging and running, Elliot was placed down next to what looked like a machine with hearts. He was surrounded by what he remembered to be Builderman, Shedletsky, Guest 1337 and Taph. Elliot looked at them, their voices blurry. And before he knew it, he broke out into sobs. Everyone froze, before Shedletsky and Taph panicked, trying to shut the kid up so he wouldn't reveal their hiding spot. Guest and Builderman looked at each other. Guest took a step back, letting Builderman handle the kid this time.
Builderman shoved Taph and Shedletsky aside, kneeling down to be at eye level with the kid. “Hey, buddy…” He said, brushing a tear away from Elliot's face. Elliot looked up, his body trembling with every sob. “T-t-the mon-mon-monster!—” he said, tugging at his hair. Taph placed a tripwire and a subspace tripmine, just to be wary. Shedletsky and Guest 1337 went down, hopefully to distract the killer with Chance and Two Time.
“I know, but the monster ain't gon’ hurt ya. Not on our watch.” He comforted, brushing his fingers through Elliot's hair. “Ya like lullabies?” Elliot nodded, clinging onto Builderman. Builderman smiled, his tone gentle and soft.
“You are my sunshine,”
He started, clearing his throat. Elliot's sobs grew quieter, his body still shaking, though.
“My only sunshine.”
Elliot hummed to the tune, sniffling as he wiped away his snot and tears.
“You make me happy—”
Elliot finally calmed down, just listening to Builderman.
“—When skies are gray.”
“You'll never know, dear
How much I love you.”
“So please, don't take my sunshine away.”
He finished, looking down. Elliot looked up at Builderman, smiling. “Mmm. I like.” He simply said, stretching his arms. “Uppies.” He commanded, his expression serious. Builderman chuckled, nodding. “Alright, alright.” He picked Elliot up, placing him on his shoulder. Elliot squealed, giggling.
—
The round was over, and everyone was teleported back into the cabin.
1 HOUR TILL THE NEXT ROUND.
Everyone sighed, finally. A break.
Elliot stayed on Builderman's shoulder, squealing and giggling. This caught everyone's attention, shifting their gazes towards Elliot. Builderman sighed, smiling. Elliot stopped, and started shifting to get out. Builderman stopped him, picking him up from his shoulders then putting him down on the floor. Elliot immediately stretched, laying down on the wooden floor for no particular reason. Everyone raised a brow, Builderman speaking up first. “Kid, what ‘re ya doin’?”
Elliot shrugged, spreading his arms and legs and just staring up at the ceiling. He grumbled, his mood suddenly changing. He looked at the others, squinting before placing his hands over his face. He groaned, before getting up and walking over to the kitchen. Everyone stared in confusion, not getting what was going on. “I don't understand kids.” Shedletsky started, following Elliot. The others followed behind too, wondering what Elliot was up to.
Elliot looked around the kitchen, spotting a knife. Something clicked in his mind. He felt like he's been here before, and hey… He turned around, seeing the others staring at him. But the person he noticed more was Two Time. He felt like Two had something to do with what he felt like he needed to do, so he walked up to them. “You.” He pointed, staring up at Two Time. Two Time tilted their head, a manic smile on their face. “Yes, dear child? What has brought you to me? Perhaps you want to know more of the Sp—” They were cut off by Elliot climbing onto them, pulling out their dagger from their pocket. “Oo!” He giggled, falling back down. Builderman took the dagger away from Elliot, putting it out of reach. Two Time sighed. They were really hoping nobody would notice.
Elliot sighed, throwing himself back on the floor. He rolled over, getting the bright idea to roll around the place. He rolled, ignoring the confused murmurs of the others. He kept rolling, until he ran into some legs. He looked up, spotting the burger… Seven? Was that his name? Elliot looked up, grumbling and pouting. He kicked his feet, before stopping as Seven picked him up and placed him on the couch.
“You know what's wrong with him?” Chance spoke up, looking at Seven as he flipped his coin. Seven shrugged, sighing. “Kids do this when they're bored…” He said, rubbing his temple. “We should play with him, then.” Guest said, walking up to Elliot. Chance stopped him, and instead walked up to him. Chance whispered something in his ear, and Elliot nodded.
“FUCK YOU ALL!!!” Elliot screamed, before getting a ‘good job’ and some cards by Chance. Chance snickered deviously, only to get a death glare by basically everyone. Guest 1337 picked Elliot up, and Elliot just chewed on the packaging of the cards. “Elliot… Whatever Chance tells you to say, don't say it. What you just said was very disrespectful and that was a bad word.” He said, pulling the cards out of Elliot's mouth. “Bad?” He asked, tilting his head in confusion and worry. “I say bad word?!” He panicked, realizing how mean he was.
“Yes… But you didn't know, in fact, you should blame Chance. Call him stinky.” Shedletsky added, smiling. Elliot stuck his tongue out at Chance, crossing his arms across his chest and glaring. “Stinky.” He said, in the most serious tone ever.
Builderman dragged Chance outside, probably to beat his ass again about teaching kids shitty things. Guest 1337 sighed, rubbing his temple. “Elliot, don't say that again. Alright? If Chance ever tells you to say something like that again, tell one of us.” Elliot nodded, before starting to suck on his fingers. Elliot was placed back down on the couch, giggling. After a few minutes, Elliot fell asleep on the couch, despite it being 9:14 AM.
Chance was dragged back in by Builderman, his smug smirk still on his face.
“Chance, you should know better than to teach a child such words. The Spawn clearly does not appreciate that, children should be innocent and carefree.” Two Time said, the others surprisingly agreeing.
“Okay, but it was funny.” Chance chuckled, fixing his hat.
“-- – —--- (No it wasn't.)” Taph signed, glaring.
“Yes it was.”
“Okay, yeah, it was kinda funny.” Shedletsky laughed, only to get glared at by everyone except Chance and Elliot.
“See!”
“Chance, shut up. You too, Shedletsky.”
“...”
“Still, it was kin—”
“Shut up.”
“Jeez.”
