Chapter 1: Chang
Chapter Text
The only sound at lunch was the clinking of silver spoons against the edges of delicate porcelain bowls.
No one talked here... unless it was to give orders or to scold.
And usually, the only one who had the right to do that was my father.
“You’re not going to the academy tomorrow.”
I expected this. He’s been glaring at me all morning, and now, like a snake, he finally struck with his venom.
I just stared at him, while a thousand thoughts swirled in my mind.
What did he mean “not going”?
All these years of studying, struggling, holding on... and now I’m supposed to sit in this damn house forever, just to be handed off like some prize wrapped up for an Alpha?
Like a fruit at the market?
No. Absolutely not.
My father repeated coldly, “You’re an Omega. Remember your place.”
Of course, I know. I’m not just any Omega.
I’m a leader Omega.
But to him, that didn’t matter. Omega meant Omega—a breeding machine that must always obey.
Society has been changing for a hundred years... Omegas haven’t been suppressed for a long time. Everything’s equal now—Alphas, Omegas, even Betas.
But
Old, powerful families like ours refuse to give Omegas any respect.
They cling to power, money, and their stupid outdated traditions.
And me?
I’m not about to give in to these rotten ideas.
Then I heard Itachi’s voice, loud and angry, but trying to keep calm:
“Father... if you try to stop Sasuke from studying, I’m sorry, but... I’ll arrest you as a cop!”
My father’s cold, serious reply came immediately:
“She’s an Omega.”
But Itachi couldn’t hold back his anger any longer and raised his voice:
“She’s an Uchiha—a leader Omega. You can’t force an Omega to do what they don’t want. Father, I’m warning you... if I arrest you, this will be all over the news.”
I caught my breath.
My heart pounded faster.
I didn’t want to stay silent... but now wasn’t my time to speak.
My father snapped angrily,
“You’re so rebellious you want to arrest me? Those laws made by some no-name fools don’t apply to our clan.”
My fingers clenched into fists, gripping the edge of the table.
I couldn’t take it anymore.
I stood up and shouted,
“I’m sick of this damn clan!”
Before anyone could react, I slammed my foot hard on the table’s edge. The table flipped, dishes shattered everywhere, and food spilled all over the floor.
My mother stayed silent as always—because she’s a Beta, my father never treated her properly.
And I shouted louder:
“I’m an Omega... I’m not ashamed of it. I’ll live however I want.”
My breath came faster with rage.
“I’m the first leader Omega of the Uchiha clan. If you step on me,
I’ll wipe you off my path... even if it means spilling the blood of every single one of you Alphas.”
My breaths were heavy; my heart trembled.
Itachi gave a small smile.
My father—
For the first time, I saw his shocked, maybe terrified face. His eyes were wide, his mouth open as he stared at me.
I didn’t care.
I turned away from them, lost in thought so deep I didn’t even notice when I climbed the stairs. Now I was standing in front of my room’s door.
I slammed it shut with all my might, making sure everyone heard.
The thud shook through my bones.
My chest heaved—my blood felt like it was boiling.
And now, in the mirror, I saw what I had always hidden:
Two sharp, glossy black-blue ears poking out from my hair.
Behind me, a cat tail twitching restlessly.
“We Uchiha are cats.”
Black cats, agile, with deadly claws...
We’re hunters, not prey.
But in this house, my father wants to turn me into a house cat whose only job is to wait for the Alpha to come kill her at night.
I bit my lip.
“Senju... dogs.”
The Senju are a big tribe... loyal and well-mannered dogs.
And the foxes—
That means the Uzumakis and Namizakes.
Foxes live in the Golden Region, the most modern city, best universities, best hospitals, and the fanciest houses.
Whether now or five hundred years ago... they never hid their ears or tails.
Foxes proudly show their ears, celebrate, wear traditional clothes... take pictures.
When their gender is revealed—Alpha, Beta, or Omega—they throw huge celebrations.
Even five hundred years ago, no one dared say a word because they have power. The foxes still rule society.
The only thing I learned growing up was:
“An Omega must never show their ears... they must always hide them.”
I looked deeper into the mirror.
The Senju are just like the foxes...
A cold smile touched my lips.
“Sarutobis? They’re sly political lizards.
A bunch of scum gathered together... dirtier than all the rest. Takashi Sarutobi... the one I was betrothed to when I was a kid.”
I whispered,
“If you try to hurt me... I’ll destroy all of you.”
But now...
Now that my ears are out, I won’t hide them anymore.
I was five years old.
Back then, I didn’t understand Alphas and Omegas.
I didn’t know what a tribe was or what politics meant.
I was just a kid, small, wearing the clan’s formal clothes, surrounded by people who never once looked at me kindly.
And right there, at that damn feast, my great uncle Madara Uchiha traded me off.
He called it the “Alliance Pact with the Sarutobi clan.”
Just like that—casual.
Meaning I, Sasuke Uchiha, a five-year-old child,
had to be engaged to someone ten years older than me.
Whenever he came near, he’d bend down and say,
“You’re like other Omegas—you like sweets, right?”
And everyone around...
I remember that same night, when they took off my dress, I said:
“I don’t want to see that man anymore.”
My father just said,
“Shut up... you’re an Omega. What does it matter who you belong to?”
And that wasn’t the first time I felt like an object.
It wouldn’t be the last.
The Sarutobis... with their poor Omegas who run to the Alphas of Senju, Hyuga, and Foxes to escape their families...
Now, one of those scum is my fiancé.
Why? Because the Uchiha companies decided to enter the pharmaceutical industry.
And whose samples and equipment were the best? The Sarutobis’.
The result?
I became a bargaining chip in a multi-billion-dollar deal.
I never thought I’d use this word, but... I was sold.
For market share.
For economic dominance to outrun their rivals.
For expanding the clan’s control over health care.
And then my father says:
“It’s your duty.”
My duty?
I yelled,
“Go to hell, all of you.”
From the moment I was born, I became property.
But enough.
Enough already.
If they keep pushing,
I’ll report them to the police.
I’ll tell everything—
The pills they forced me to take every week to suppress my pheromones... the tests they ran on me...
Everything.
And if I have to,
I’ll look myself in the mirror and say,
“You were born in a cage.
But you don’t have to stay in it.”
The door opened.
Itachi came in quietly.
He sat on the edge of the bed and looked at my restless tail for a few seconds.
Then smirked.
“First time you didn’t hide your ears.”
I didn’t look at him indifferently, but I didn’t take my eyes off the mirror.
“I’m not hiding them anymore.”
My voice was rough.
I turned toward him.
My eyes shone.
“Tomorrow, I’m going to the police. I’m filing a complaint for domestic violence and discrimination.”
Itachi looked down.
“I know. The law’s on your side.
But this family won’t let you go.”
Then softer,
“Even if they have to enforce the law... they won’t leave you alone.”
I stepped closer.
“I won’t bow my head.”
He stood up.
His gaze was gentle and kind.
“I don’t want to stop you.
I just want to make sure you’re okay.”
For a moment, our eyes locked.
“Come to my place... and whenever you want, I’ll take you to the police myself.”
I stayed silent.
I felt happy.
I smirked and said to Itachi,
“Finally, your detective skills came in handy.”
Itachi winked with a smile.
“I’m a senior detective.”
Chapter Text
I tossed my suitcase into the back of the car. I didn’t care about anything anymore—I just needed to get away from that house.
Itachi didn’t say a single word the whole ride. He just drove. After a while, we pulled up in front of a huge glass building.
Konoha Academy.
As I got out of the car, Itachi said, “I’ll take your stuff home. I’ll pick you up at sunset.”
I just nodded and watched him drive away.
I slung my backpack over my shoulder and walked into the academy courtyard. A massive sign hung over the front entrance: Konoha Academy.
This place was three times the size of a regular university. The entire exterior was glass. People of all kinds passed by me as I made my way to the admin office.
The door was open, so I walked right in. The room smelled like coffee. Four desks were set up next to each other. Three were empty, but a man sat at the last one.
He had gray hair and wore a black mask. I didn’t sense any scent from him. Probably a beta.
He looked up and said, “I’m Kakashi Hatake. You must be Sasuke Uchiha, right?”
“Yeah. I’m Sasuke. I need my class schedule.”
He pulled a paper from a stack. “You’re really late today. Hurry up.”
He handed me the paper. “Go to Class A3. Don’t be late.”
I nodded, took the paper, and left the room without another glance.
The hallways were gray and quiet. I kept walking until I saw the sign: A3.
I opened the door and walked in.
A tall man stood at the front of the class. His golden hair caught the light, and as he turned, I met his bright blue eyes.
Right away, I caught the bitter scent of whiskey.
An alpha.
For a second, his jaw clenched and his brows pulled together. The students were all staring at me.
“I was at the admin office,” I said.
He didn’t reply. He looked away and glanced down at his books.
“That’s fine. But before you sit, introduce yourself.”
Why did his voice waver a little just now?
Was I imagining things, or did he really just hesitate?
The rest of the class watched me, curious.
I said flatly, “Sasuke Uchiha. Watch how you act.”
Then I ignored their reactions and walked to the back of the class. I sat beside a red-haired guy and pulled out my economics book.
“What page are we on?” I asked.
“Page 3,” he replied.
I flipped to the page, but something kept bugging me.
I could feel someone’s eyes on me.
I looked around, and sure enough, my gaze locked with a pair of piercing blue eyes.
The alpha.
Why was he staring at me?
Was he pissed I came in late?
He quickly looked away and picked up a piece of chalk, starting to write on the board.
The guy next to me leaned over a little. “I’m Gaara.”
His red hair was striking, but his eyes… they looked completely empty.
“I already introduced myself,” I said.
He fumbled. “Yeah, yeah, I know. I was just introducing myself too.”
There were a lot of scents in this classroom… Alpha scents always made me uncomfortable. But for some reason, that whiskey scent wasn’t bothering me.
Which made it even more annoying.
The alpha was writing “supply and demand” on the board when I heard Gaara again.
“First time seeing Professor Uzumaki?”
Professor Uzumaki? But Uzumakis have red hair. This guy didn’t look like one.
“You sure he’s an Uzumaki?” I asked.
Gaara looked surprised. “You don’t know about the foxes?”
Before he could explain, a loud voice cut through the class.
“Focus on the lesson and stop distracting others, Uchiha.”
that Uzumaki said
The rest of the class passed without much excitement, until the bell rang.
The Uzumaki guy left first, turning around at the door to say with a smile, “See you all later.”
I packed up my book and headed toward the cafeteria.
Then—bam.
I bumped into someone.
“Ah!” A soft voice cried out as a girl hit the ground.
Someone shouted from nearby, “Hinata!”
Another girl ran over and helped her up. “I’m so sorry, sir. It was my fault.”
I didn’t respond. I just kept walking until I got to the cafeteria.
I grabbed a tray and loaded some meat onto my plate. I sat alone and started eating.
But then… those two girls sat across from me.
“I’m Hinata Hyuga. Sorry again,” the dark-haired girl said softly.
The pink-haired girl beside her rolled her eyes. “You already said that, Hinata. Anyway, I’m Sakura Haruno.”
And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse… Gaara sat next to me.
Sakura smiled. “So Gaara, how was class?”
“Economics today,” he replied.
Hinata’s cheeks turned red. “D-Did you see Naruto?”
Gaara nodded. “I heard your cousin Neji works at one of the fox companies.”
Hinata’s face turned serious.
“Why would he work there when your family has its own company?” Gaara asked.
Hinata sighed. “He’s from a branch family. My father wouldn’t let him work at Hyuga Corp.”
She looked upset.
“How old is your cousin?” I asked.
She looked surprised. “Neji’s 20. He’s an alpha.”
Sakura giggled. “Well, Sasuke-kun, since you’re the only omega in the Uchiha clan, I’m sure you get a lot of attention.”
Jealous, huh?
This girl’s clueless. Life always looks prettier from the outside.
I ignored the beta and finished my food.
Gaara nudged my shoulder. “By the way, that guy earlier was Naruto Uzumaki. He’s the son of Minato Namizake—the fox clan leader. He runs half the fox corporations now, but he’s teaching here this year because he was forced to.”
The foxes… they’ve got some weird traditions. Instead of keeping the Namizake surname, they go by Uzumaki.
His scent was… calming. Is that how all foxes smell?
Or is it just him?
Hesitantly, I asked, “Are there other foxes at this academy?”
Gaara was about to answer, but Sakura cut in excitedly.
“They never come to Konoha Academy! They have their own—Nine-Tails Academy.”
Then with more excitement, she added, “It’s way bigger than here. They’ve got the most advanced tech and everything!”
It was the first time I had lunch in such a noisy, chaotic place.
And Sakura wouldn’t stop talking.
Next time, I better sit somewhere else.
^^^
Next class was math… with Tobirama Senju. I’d heard from Itachi that he hated the Uchiha. Just a bitter beta, ready to take any chance to break us down.
The door opened. He walked in with that same stiff posture and a scowl on his face. His steps were quiet, deliberate. He stopped behind his desk and picked up the paper lying on it.
He started calling names. Then he got to mine.
“Sasuke Uchiha.”
He said my name like he was reading off the name of his father’s killer.
I smirked and raised my hand.
But he didn’t look at me. Like he was saying, “You’re nothing to me.”
When the list ended, he slammed the book down onto the desk, grabbed a piece of chalk, and wrote a complicated equation on the board.
“This is not a place for idiots. If you can’t keep up… the door’s right there.”
I didn’t wait for him to finish.
“The answer is twelve point fifty-six.”
His hand froze mid-air. Chalk still raised.
For a second, his eyes locked with mine.
Then he straightened up quickly.
“I didn’t give you permission to speak, Uchiha.”
My smile widened.
“If you didn’t want an answer, why’d you write the question? Or were you just hoping to humiliate someone weaker than you?”
His brows tightened. I could feel the pressure in the room.
“Next time you interrupt me, make sure what you say is worth hearing. Not something even a calculator can spit out.”
I didn’t even pause.
“Don’t worry, Professor Senju. You still have time to come up with a question I don’t know the answer to. No rush.”
The whole class went dead silent. Everyone was holding their breath, eyes darting between us.
He opened his mouth to say something—
But I beat him to it.
“Of course… like you said, this isn’t a place for dumb students…”
I paused, then smiled.
“It’s not for dumb teachers either.”
I turned away, flipping through my book like he didn’t exist. Didn’t look at him again.
And he didn’t say a word.
Heh… I thought this academy was going to be boring.
But looks like… I was wrong.

Naruto’s POV
[Fox Corporation]
The second I got into my office, I slammed the door shut behind me
and dropped myself onto the white couch.
Then it hit me again...
That omega—Sasuke Uchiha.
I was losing it.
It was the first time my instincts ever got that wild.
My orange ears and tail were out in the open.
Inside my head, they were screaming:
“Mark him.”
“He has to be ours.”
“He is ours.”
“He’s the one who should carry your pups.”
I yelled out loud,
“Shut up, Kurama—just shut up!”
My canines were aching...
And just thinking about him made them hurt even more.
That damn scent—sandalwood and jasmine—
still stuck in my head.
No, no... I gotta pull myself together.
I haven’t even talked to Sasuke Uchiha once.
I can’t be thinking like this.
But still...
those dark eyes
that pale skin
keep flashing in my mind.
I opened my jaw, my fangs popped out again,
and my pheromones filled the whole room.
I yanked off my tie and tossed it to the corner of the couch,
undid the top button of my shirt,
and started panting.
My heart was pounding.
Click. The door opened.
I looked up—
Shikamaru was standing there.
With my fangs still showing, I said,
“Come in, Shikamaru.”
He walked in slowly and closed the door behind him.
“Naruto... are you going into rut?”
“It’s not rut.”
I took a deep breath and forced my pheromones down.
My fangs retracted.
He sat down next to me.
“What’s going on, Naruto?”
When my ears and tail finally faded,
I let out a long breath.
“What did my dad tell you?”
He raised an eyebrow.
“He said we shouldn’t make any moves for now.”
Good... I figured as much.
If we act too soon, it might raise suspicions.
I stood up, walked to the desk,
opened the drawer, and grabbed the contract.
Then held it out to Shikamaru.
“Take it. I already signed it.
I knew Dad would think the same.”
He took the file, stood up in front of me.
“You still not gonna tell me what happened?”
I walked away from him and looked out the window.
From here, I could see all of Konoha—
the whole city was under my feet...
and still, that damn face stayed in my mind.
“Shikamaru…
Have you ever felt like...
like a really strong possessive urge toward an omega?”
I turned to him.
Shikamaru’s face, usually blank,
now looked shocked.
“Which omega?”
“Please…
don’t ask me that.”
He looked confused.
“Well… I’ve felt possessive before, sure,
but not like that—not that strong.”
He rubbed his temple.
“I mean, there was someone…
but it wasn’t as intense as what you’re describing.”
I gave a small smile.
“Thanks, Shikamaru.
I need to be alone for a bit.”
I went back behind my desk,
started going through the documents that came in today.
Shikamaru left without another word.
I tried to focus on the papers.
Damn it.
I couldn’t get that omega’s face outta my head.
Then I heard Kurama whisper in my mind:
“He’s not your omega.”
I smiled
“…He’s not mine…But he will be.

Chapter Text
Sasuke:
It was six in the evening, the sky getting darker, and the streetlights one by one flickered on. I was standing in front of the academy, the place where Itachi said he’d pick me up. Ten minutes had passed, and there was still no sign of him.
I stepped a little away from the main door and leaned against the cold concrete wall. I pulled out my phone from my pocket, turning the screen on to call him… but then I noticed a notification. Sender: Itachi.
I swiped the screen and opened the message:
"Sorry, Sasuke, I’m on a mission. Take the house key from under the red flowerpot in the yard. Food’s in the fridge."
I let out a quiet sigh and gave a bitter smile. I kinda expected this… Itachi is always busy. I put my phone back in my bag and swung the strap over my shoulder.
I started walking away from the academy grounds.
It was early autumn, but it was really cold. I shoved my hands deeper into my jacket pockets.
It had been a long day.
I kept staring at the cracks in the sidewalk as I walked. I’d made good progress today.
A car pulled up beside me and honked. I ignored it. One of those idiots who bother people in the city.
It honked a few more times in a row, and I got annoyed. I stopped and yelled, "What do you want?"
I turned. The car door opened, and I saw blond hair… Naruto Uzumaki?
What’s he doing here? "Are you walking home?"
"Yeah."
He smiled again, like he could never be serious.
"Then come on, I’ll give you a ride."
He opened the passenger door, waiting for me to get in. Did he want to escort me home?
I said, "I’ll walk."
But he didn’t give up, saying, "Get in. Itachi’s house is on my way."
My heart skipped a beat… What? Itachi’s house? I never told him. How does he know? Why should he know?
I looked at his face. Same smile. But it wasn’t a smile anymore. It was a mask. What’s he hiding behind it? Why is he so sure?
The street was empty. No one around.
My feet moved on their own. I don’t know why. I just walked toward the car.
When I sat down, he closed the door. The sound of it made me regret it—shouldn’t have gotten in.
Naruto got behind the wheel. His smile didn’t falter even a bit.
The car moved slowly down the road, and I stared out the window. I didn’t want to talk to him. As someone from the academy who’d just met him today, he was already too close.
The heat from the heater and the warm steering wheel pressed on me annoyingly. I felt suffocated—not just from the heavy, sharp smell, but because he was way too close. I wanted to roll the window down, didn’t care about the cold or getting sick, just needed fresh air.
But he figured it out first and locked the windows.
"Open the window, I’m hot!" I raised my voice.
He just said, "It’s cold," and kept driving, ignoring me.
We didn’t talk. Just the sound of the engine filled the silence, until Naruto finally spoke.
"So… did you go to Itachi’s house?"
I turned to him sharply, surprised. He smirked.
"How do you know I live at Itachi’s?" I asked, more anxious than surprised.
Naruto changed direction, turning into another street, still calm with that same smile. "He told me… but didn’t say why he sent you there!"
I looked outside again, my mind full of questions. How do Naruto and Itachi even know each other? Itachi never mentioned him.
I composed myself and said, "It’s none of your business."
Naruto reached out and turned the heater up more. I had told him I was hot—why was he doing this?
The car sped up, and five minutes later we reached the house. I opened the door and slammed it behind me. The air was even colder, making me shiver for a second. He got out too and walked closer.
I turned, irritated. "What?" I snapped. But his wide smile and carefree look only made me angrier.
"I haven’t had dinner yet, so…"
"Why should I care if you’re hungry? Go eat somewhere," I said and stepped into the yard.
Ignoring me, he followed inside.
"Why are you in here? Get out!" I shouted, genuinely frustrated. I pulled out my phone, dialed, and put it on speaker.
"Hello, Naruto." A familiar voice came through—I recognized it. It was my brother. My brain was filled with questions. How do Naruto and my brother know each other? Why didn’t anyone tell me?
Seeing my reaction, Naruto’s smile grew wider. "Hi, Itachi. I saw Sasuke on the way and brought him home, but he won’t give me dinner."
I snatched the phone from him and took it off speaker. "Itachi?"
"My work’s going to take me five days. Tonight, treat Naruto to dinner. I’ll call you tomorrow," my brother said.
After the call ended, I threw the phone at Naruto, grabbed the keys from under the red flowerpot, unlocked the door, and went inside.
Even after entering, I could feel Naruto’s eyes on me. He followed me inside and shut the door. I climbed the stairs, exhausted and irritated. I didn’t want to deal with him, or even think about how casually he and my brother knew each other. I went to my room, tossed my backpack on the bed, and laid down. I should’ve rested for five minutes, my body was tired, my eyes heavy. I didn’t even want to think about dinner or having Naruto in the house. But fatigue overcame me, and I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
---
Naruto:
I followed Sasuke into the house and closed the door behind me to keep out the cold. Walking down the hallway, all I could do was watch him go upstairs.
I went straight to the kitchen and opened the fridge. Took out two packs of sushi, put them on a plate, and set them on the table. I thought to myself: good call, I called Itachi three hours ago. He said Sasuke’s staying for a while… but why? Why would the Uchiha let their Omega stay away from family? Omegas are usually restricted… so why is Sasuke here? Some big change or conflict must’ve happened.
Then I realized… Sasuke was staring at me. Rightfully so. Today was the first time he’d seen me. And I was only a few meters away! He’s not crazy like me. The scent of jasmine drives me nuts, but the steering wheel didn’t bother him in the car—why am I like this? Foxes aren’t possessive over what’s not theirs! Sasuke’s not mine…
Then I heard Kurama in my head:
"He’s ours, Naruto. Take him! We deserve that Omega, mark him!"
I shouted inside my head, "Shut up! I don’t want to hear you!"
A moment later, reality hit. Sasuke hadn’t come downstairs yet. I quietly followed upstairs and saw a slightly open door. Maybe his room? I peeked in… and saw him asleep on the bed.
I breathed in deeply. Jasmine… but sweeter, heavier this time. The whole room smelled like it, making my chest tighten. I didn’t know why, but my steps moved toward the bed on their own.
Before I realized it, I was leaning over him. My shadow fell over his face. My breaths hit his skin lightly. Only a few inches between my lips and his black hair. My hands locked on either side of the bed.
"Do it now! Touch him, he’s yours! No other Alpha should even smell him!"
I gritted my teeth.
"I can’t do it when he doesn’t want me."
Kurama laughed harshly again:
"Scared? Not an Alpha? The steering wheel’s got you under control."
My breaths were all messed up. I looked down. Sasuke was still asleep, but his body twitched slightly, like he felt someone above him. My heart pounded. My hands trembled, and my fingers brushed his jawline.
Kurama yelled:
"He’s yours, Naruto! Take him!"
His neck was more defined than before. The pale line of his skin glowed faintly in the darkness. I unconsciously held my breath. My hands shook.
And then… his eyes opened for a split second. The blackness of his gaze hit me like a hammer.
I froze.
I didn’t say a word. Didn’t even breathe.
Then just as fast… his eyelids closed again. Like he never woke up.
But I saw it. That fleeting moment… he saw me.
Kurama laughed in my head:
"Haha… you just screwed it up, kid. What if he actually remembers you hovering over him tomorrow?"
I sweated and backed up, but my eyes stayed on him. His eyelids relaxed, his breathing steady, like nothing had happened.
Kurama said again, "He saw you… now what are you gonna do?"
I left the room and quietly shut the door… if he did see, he’ll think he dreamed it.
I took a deep breath and stood by the window to feel some fresh air.
My phone buzzed—Dad.
I answered quickly.
"Hey Naruto, where are you?"
His voice was as smooth and energetic as ever, but I knew why he was calling.
"Just visiting a friend."
He paused, then said casually, "Okay… Kakashi told me you sent K.M to negotiate with the Sarutobis?"
As expected.
"Yeah."
He said, "We can either bypass the Hyugas or the Karas. Why did you send them to the Sarutobis?"
He always lets me make decisions. Doesn’t stop me, but wants to know.
I said:
"No one knows K.M, Royal Fall, and Golden N.I are ours. We use that company for dirty work… fraud, money laundering. Kakashi’s the CEO and runs it perfectly, no one suspects a thing."
Dad said proudly, "Right. That was me and grandpa’s idea."
I smiled. Felt the Uzumaki and Namizake blood pumping in my veins.
"By releasing our new products, we can crush the Hyugas easily. They’re not even capable of competing."
I went to the kitchen. The dim ceiling light fell on my face. I poured a glass of water. Cold gulp, but my body was still burning.
Dad spoke again.
"Right. We can also take down the Karas. But why the Sarutobis?"
I put the glass down. "What do you mean?"
"Are you trying to hit the Uchiha through them?" His voice was firm. "It’s useless. Madara can find another partner easier than you think."
I took a deep breath. I’d thought this through.
"35% of the Uchiha shares are held by the Sarutobis. Kakashi knows how to insert himself into Uchiha companies and partner with them. It’ll take time, but it works."
He sighed, "Alright… I trust you. You know what you’re doing."
Before he hung up, I asked, "How was the meeting with the Senjus?"
Dad said, annoyed, "Boring… the session just ended. When I get home, your mom’s gonna hit me for being late."
I smiled. "Let me guess… Tobirama tried to play smart again and trip us up."
Dad laughed. "Exactly… but failed again. I’m curious who you went to that made you miss that meeting."
I glanced upstairs and said, "I’ll introduce him to you and mom."
"Alright… come home tomorrow."
Kurama laughed in my head:
"Hehe… why didn’t you tell Minato you’re gonna take down the Sarutobis for that little Omega?"
I told Kurama:
"No need for Dad to know."
Kurama laughed louder:
"If the Sarutobis collapse, Sasuke’s engagement to their eldest son falls apart too."
He added, "It’s been a long time since you’ve made a decision based on feelings…"
Just then, I saw Sasuke coming downstairs. Shocked.
"You’re awake?"
His tone was thick, his face flushed.
Kurama yelled in my head excitedly:
"Naruto, he’s in heat… perfect timing!"
He breathed, pressed his hand on his face, and said:
"I don’t know what’s happening to me…"
He doesn’t know? He’s in heat? How can he not recognize his own body?
Before he could take another step and fall, I grabbed his waist to keep him up.
"I need to go to the doctor…" he said, but his eyes told me he truly didn’t know what heat was.
My grip tightened. Sweat on my forehead.
All Omegas start their heat cycles at eight unless… they’re suppressed before then.
I hugged him and laid him on the couch.
"Calm down…" I put my hand on his chest and clothes, trying to soothe him. His hands clutched my shirt, face red, breathing fast. His body was really hot.
"What’s happening to me?" He just looked at me. I still couldn’t catch my own breath.
Damn those Uchiha for giving him suppressors, risking his health…
His heat got stronger, ears and tail sticking out.
He tried to get off the couch, but I laid him down again. He shouldn’t move now.
"I forgot my pills…" he said.
"No." My voice came out from my Alpha instinct. Surprised even myself—it was the first time I’d used that tone.
His body trembled when he heard me.
I hugged him again, resting his head on my shoulder, and carried him to the bathroom. Turned the cold water on, letting him stand under it while in my arms. Eyes closed, shivering. But heat didn’t go down.
"Hot… I’m hot…" he whispered weakly.
Kurama laughed in my head:
"It’s his first heat in years… you know this won’t stop it, Naruto. You know what to do."
Me? I’m trying to calm Sasuke, but I’m getting more worked up myself. His heavy, warm scent, the heat of his body, his closeness… my ears and tail stick out, wagging with excitement.
Damn those Uchiha who gave him suppressors… almost killed him.
Sasuke buried his face in my neck. I held him tighter. His shallow, quick breaths echoed in my ears. My heart pounded like a drum. Damn, this is the first time an Omega’s heat made my ears and tail react uncontrollably.
I heard him whisper weakly: "My… stomach hurts."
I pressed my hands harder on his shoulders and back, hugging him tight, taking a deep breath.
Telling myself: control, Naruto. Control. He’s not in his right state.
I whispered by his ear, "Calm down, Omega. Everything’s fine, you’ll be okay."
But who am I kidding? Nothing’s gonna be fine.
He wrapped his tail around mine and whimpered, "Naruto…"
He managed to calm himself for a moment, half-opening his eyes, but then trembled again.
Kurama teased again in my head:
"Don’t fight it, Naruto."
I leaned back, took a deep breath, telling myself:
"I control this. I learned in my clan that an Omega’s health comes first. Heat lasts three days for an Omega. If I don’t help tonight, someone else will."
