[Art] The heart of the cave

Summary:

A digital artwork depicting TOS Kirk and Spock finding solace together in a cave after an away mission gone wrong.

Notes:

I created this artwork as part of the "Spirk in a Cave" event run by Spirk Events. I decided to go with the moody, shadowy style because I have always loved the 'phaser a rock until it glows and gives heat' trope, and so I wanted to really emphasise the glow of the rock and let it cast an almost candlelight sort of romantic mood. Obviously I had to include a chaste Vulcan finger kiss (Ozh'esta) because they're so sweet, and I know that usually they'd use the same hand and cross across the front of their bodies, but when I was composing the piece I preferred the symmetry of this mirrored pose.

I hope you like it, I really tried to use this as a chance to work on my realism.
