And Then There Were Two...

Summary:

A mysterious invitation goes out to creators everywhere...leading to their deaths.
Sam doesn't believe Colby died as the killer.
He is determined to prove him innocent.
He is determined to keep a disaster like this happening to humanity ever again.

Notes:

Yep! A new series!
All of this is completely fictional!

I loved Agatha Christie's book "And Then There Were None" ....so I paired it with a murder mystery with the boys!

Lots of death mentioned in this one. You have been warned!

It will switch points of views between Sam and Colby...you'll know why. Each are also timed in different seasons when Sam goes back to investigates what happened with Celina.

It will likely have a part two soon!

Let me know what you think! It's a very different way I'm used to creating, but I liked the adventure.
Don't be afraid to comment. I like to know if I have readers or not, actually!

Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Sam (Winter)

Chapter Text

"You sure you're ready for this, Sam?" Celina asks me gently, passing me a fresh box of tissues.

I was surprised I had anymore tears to cry.

I nod, feeling the weird vibe of the haunted mansion telling me it wanted its story told.

COLBY wanted his story told.

"I'm ready," I stared past her, seeing his outline hover near the archway broodingly. "He wants me to...we have to, Celina...for them!"

Celina nods to me quietly. Her friend's own death clearly still heavy on her heart.

I shared her pain.

"He's here, isn't he Sam?" Celina guessed intuitively. "I can feel the sadness..."

I nod quietly, ignoring Colby's spirit the best I could.

"We have to help him..." I pushed past the tears, pushing away the confused feelings why any of this had to happen.

Why I had to be the one left out of it all.

"We have to help THEM..." I add more for Celina's own loss.

"Trapped spirits are bad news," Celina agrees with a nod as she goes back to fixing the camera. "Especially ones so close to us, Sam!"

I nod sorrowfully at her. As much as I would love Colby's spirit around, I didn't want it to turn vengeful.

He didn't deserve that...and I could feel it getting close.

His scowl haunted me from the archway even now told me it was close.

I wipe my eyes, unsure how I was going to be able to do this, but I knew it was what he wanted.

"I'm doing the best I can brother, okay?" I told him before Celina went to record our story. "From what we can gather...this is what happened..."

I nod for her record; I was more than ready now as my grief shifted to anger.

"This is what happened to the deaths of our best friends!"
