No need for an arrangement, it can just be him and me
I'll set us free
How perfect it could be
When I see him tonight
‘His Majesty the Emperor cordially invites you to a private event that will take place at the Imperial Palace tonight at 8 p.m.’ read the note Padme had found sitting on top of her desk inside of a clear, black envelope, when she had arrived at her Senate office this morning.
„You can’t tell me you’re seriously thinking about showing up” Rush huffed, pissed that instead of paying some well-deserved attention to him for the past hour the woman he had so graciously decided to settle down with had been rummaging through her closet, looking for the perfect outfit to wear for the occasion. Or rather the way he saw it – for another man.
He had always been like this – jealous, possessive and quick to anger whenever she didn’t do exactly what he wanted her to – since the very first day of their relationship, which, by the way, started only because he had been in the right place at the right time to spot the beautiful, newly appointed Senator of Naboo, alone and confused in the halls of the Imperial Senate, desperately needing someone to ease her into the life of one of its members.
Padme, on the other hand, as the barely eighteen years old woman, freshly let out from under the protective shell she had been brought up in, that had suddenly found herself being aggressively pursued by a handsome man, admittedly, almost twice her age, but at the same time all too eager to introduce her to the wondrous world of dating and intimacy, that she had longed to know for so long, had been naive enough to mistake those traits for a sign of love.
„And why would I not?” she bristled, casting a quick glance at her fiancé, who she saw lying fully naked on their bed, stroking himself with a condemning pout on his face as if to say ‘you should be the one doing this’ „Come on, Rush. You know how hard it is to get an audience with him. If I could catch him alone for just a few minutes, then maybe I could –”
„Don’t start with this bullshit again!” her fiancé snapped, jumping up to her so fast Padme barely even had time to register he’d moved before the weight of his body pinned her against the wall „I’ve heard enough of it already in the past few months. It’s always ‘my humanitarian aid program this... my humanitarian aid program that...’ He’s a warlord, Padme! He won’t care! And frankly neither do I” he yelled, tightening his hands on her arms painfully enough to squeeze tears from her eyes.
However, realising that violence was probably not the best way to earn her compliance he quickly loosened his grip.
„So...” Rush muttered, his thumbs tenderly rubbing the sore spots he’d caused „How about instead of wasting time and energy chasing rainbows, you ditch the party and use them on something that actually matters?” he asked, leaning in to suck on her pulse, while grinding his rock hard erection into her lower abdomen, which according to him, should have long since rounded from a baby growing inside her.
He had began to push her to start trying the moment their relationship hit the three month mark, subtly at first, telling her how much he couldn't wait to start a family with her or how hot she’d look pregnant, but very soon he’d grown tired of her turning him down and simply gave her an ultimatum – either they will resign from any form of birth control or he’d leave her for someone all too happy to provide him with a child.
And so, although she wasn’t very keen on becoming a mother just yet, but absolutely certain that Rush was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, Padme yielded.
However, despite their best efforts to conceive her womb still remained disappointingly empty, which her fiancé wasted no opportunity to remind her of. The one simple thing you were literally made to do and yet you continue to fail... Defective whore.
„What is your problem?!” she yelled, for the first time in her life daring to shove him away from her, done with him treating her less like a person and more like a broodmare „Does it really hurt you so badly to see me pursuing my goals?!”
„You really want to know? Fine. You’ve been in the Senate for what? Two years? Did absolutely nothing of note. And suddenly you’re getting invited to this exclusive party hardly anyone in the whole Galaxy has the honor to say they attended? I don’t buy it”
„So, what are you suggesting? That me getting an invite is just a whim of a bunch horny panjandrums that want to have their way with a pretty, little Senator in the privacy of the Emperor’s chambers?” she asked, frowning at the ridiculous idea.
After all, if Vader or any of his pristine guests throbbed for a some action, with the amount of money they all had they certainly wouldn’t need to resort to trickery to get it. Not to mention that they were probably well aware that a hired professional would take a much better care of them than some random Senator, who didn’t want to be there for that purpose in the first place.
„I certainly don’t rule it out!” he exclaimed and it took all in her power not to roll her eyes „I know all too well what’s going on at those parties”
„How? Have you ever attended?”
„One of my friends did. I myself have gotten an invite a time or two. But I always declined. I’m not interested in playing the Emperor’s little lackey” he spat, looking at her with so much condonement in his eyes, like she had at least sold herself in a bar for a cheap, watered down drink, that she almost caved. Almost.
„Well... neither am I” she stated firmly, determined to hold her ground despite the shame he’d imposed on her threatening to burn her from the inside out „But please understand that if there is even the slimmest chance he’ll hear me out –”
„Fine. Have it your way. Just don’t come crying to me when what I’ve told you turns out to be true. I’m not interested in Vader’s scrappy seconds”
Into the Gala we must go
We’re ready now, we’re all aglow
Into the Gala, let’s go in and have the best night ever
Into the Gala, now’s the time
We’re ready and we look divine!
The spacious garage Padme had been instructed to land in by the Imperial Palace’s flight control was filled almost to the brim with various ships and speeders, some of which, even though she knew very little about the automotive industry, she could say with unwavering certainty belonged on a display in a fancy museum.
The ones that did not were just the top of the top of the shelf models, so ridiculously expensive, that even she with her extremely high senatorial salary couldn’t even begin to dream to afford any of them.
Which made her all the more nervous about meeting the other party attendees.
„Ah, Senator Amidala!” chirped a golden protocol droid scurrying her way the fastest his leg joints allowed him to „How lovely to see you have finally arrived. My name is C-3PO, human cyborg relations, here on behalf of our graciously reigning Emperor to escort you to the reception hall” he said, extending his right arm towards her like a true gentleman he had apparently been programmed as „Shall we get going? The Emperor has already been notified of your arrival and is awaiting your presence”
„Yes, of course” she replied, accepting the gesture with practised grace despite wanting absolutely nothing more than to turn on her heel and run back to her apartment, where buried under a heavy blanket she could pretend that night never happened. That she had never been foolish enough to think she’d fit into Vader’s elite. That her fiancé hadn’t been right all along in telling her she shouldn’t come. That –
Oh, get a grip, girl. You are one of the most renowned members of the Imperial Senate. A former queen of Naboo. It’s just nerves. You’ve got this. Who if not you? She asked herself, hoping that this overwhelming feeling of dread rising in her chest with each step she took would soon subside.
However, no matter how much she tried to delude herself, the sole thought of actually walking into that reception hall in her sparkly, navy blue dress, which although was one of her absolute favourites, always gaining her lots of compliments, especially from Rush due to the navel deep V-cut neckline and a huge leg slit, reaching all the way up to her thigh, now, in the grandeur of the Imperial Palace suddenly seemed tacky at best, still filled her with so much fear, that she wished she had never set foot outside of her apartment.
Unfortunately, she had deprived herself of the chance to go back to it the moment she took C-3PO’s golden arm and let him lead her to his Master.
Perhaps there’s still time to back out of this. I can say I’m not feeling well. I can –
„We’re here, my Lady” the droid chirped suddenly, the five short words effectively shattering her vain hopes of escape, before he proceeded to open the massive double-winged doors they had approached, which led to... a surprisingly empty room.
What the kriff? Padme thought to herself, looking around at the beautifully set tables full of all kinds of finger foods, unoccupied sofas, a whole line of server droids standing near the walls with trays of untouched champagne glasses, the subtle decorations hanging from the ceiling and in the midst of it all him – a lone, handsome man in his early twenties, with a faded scar slashing over his right brow and a pair of golden eyes to match the cascade of locks framing his face, dressed just as he always did - in all black.
„Senator Amidala, a pleasure to have you here” he said with a small smile curving the corners of his lips, sounding as if he’d waited at least a lifetime for this very moment, before coming up to her, perhaps a tad bit too close than would be considered appropriate, and taking her hand in his to plant a soft kiss on the back of it.
„Your Majesty” she greeted him with a graceful bow, unwilling to show just how abashed she was by his forwardness.
However, as the silence that fell over them right after her greeting continued to stretch, with him still holding on to her hand and staring at her with those golden eyes of his, so intensely that he could have as well been boring a hole straight to her soul, it was almost impossible not to start to squirm.
„So, your Majesty, if I may ask – where are the other guests?” she choked out, trying to sound as chill as she could while in reality she felt that if she was forced to endure this prolonging quiet under his piercing stare for just a few more seconds, she would forget how to breathe.
„Fashionably late I suppose” he replied curtly, too busy tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear to bother with a longer answer, however seeing the confusion painting on her face he had graciously decided to elaborate „You are the first one to arrive, my Lady”
„What!?” Padme exclaimed too dumbfounded at the moment to care about proper manners she should keep in the presence of the Emperor. „Then whose are all of those ships and speeders I saw in the hangar?”
„All mine. I guess you can say I’m quite the collector” he said casually, as if he couldn’t solve the Galaxy-wide hunger with half of what he had parked in there.
„Quite?” she snorted, the utter relief caused by the sudden realisation that, at least for now, she would have to deal not with a bunch of self-absorbed bigheads, but just one, making her overly relaxed and thus momentarily forget who exactly she was talking to.
Fortunately though, thanks to the years of experience she had managed to swiftly slip back into the skin of a composed politician and rectify herself.
„I think you’re being far too humble, your Majesty. Your collection is... I don’t even know what to say”
„Speechless already?” the Emperor tutted disapprovingly. „My, my, Senator, I must say I’ve expected more from someone with your reputation. But then again, I was told I tend to have this effect on women”
„That’s not –” Padme huffed, taking extreme offense at his blatant insinuation, however retaining enough reason to bite her tongue before she could say something that would seriously wound his clearly fragile ego.
She had come here with one goal in mind – get him alone, so she could tell him about her humanitarian aid program. She had been presented with the most perfect opportunity to do so practically on a silver platter. There was no reason to jeopardize her chances just because she couldn’t handle a little bit of flirt.
„No reason to get so defensive, my Lady. It was just a joke” he stated, at the same time sounding genuinely apologetic and looking anything but.
Jokes are funny, you pretentious asshole. She thought, however what actually left her mouth was a chucklish: „Right... I was told I don’t take those very well”
Having dealt with her fair share of men considering sexual innuendos as the peak of comedy, whom her own fiancé was the prime example of, Padme mentally prepared herself for a smug retort along the lines of ‘I bet there are other things you can take just fine’, but to her surprise, it didn’t come.
Instead, the Emperor had chosen to change the subject completely and summoning one of the server droids with a snap of his fingers asked: „Perhaps you would like something to drink while we wait?”
„Gladly” she responded, taking a generous sip out of the glass she had taken for a little boost of liquid confidence, before finally deciding to shoot her shot „Listen, while we wait for your other guests to arrive, would you be interested in hearing about the program I’ve been working on recently?”
„I’m all ears, Senator. Let’s sit”
I just want everything to be right
All these questions keep turning and churning and burning inside me
What are these feelings I feel when she’s here by my side?
Their conversation was going far better than Padme could have possibly hoped for.
The Emperor, or Vader as he had asked her to call him, seemed genuinely interested in what she was saying, discussing the pros and cons of each individual point she made, asking lots of follow up questions, which she had been more than happy to answer and from time to time even throwing his own ideas into the mix.
Meanwhile, the minutes slowly started to seep into hours.
However, Padme had been too wrapped up in explaining the correlation between the population density in the Outer Rim and the dislocation of the Empire’s medical facilities to notice this. Or that for quite some time Vader had been slowly inching closer to her.
That was until, his hand suddenly rested on her knee, causing whatever she was about to say next to immediately die in her throat, as she all but froze in her place.
„Please, go on” he prompted softly, having apparently not expected just how big of a deal she would make out of an ‘innocent’ caress, but judging by the self-satisfied smirk on his face regardless having no intention to retreat any time soon.
„Um... Perhaps I should save some conversation topics for when your other guests will arrive” she said, squirming uncomfortably as she desperately tried to come up with a way to get out of this situation without completely ruining the chances of her program getting approved, like excusing herself to go to the bathroom, but then...
„Oh, Padme... Haven’t you realised yet?” Vader chuckled darkly, his eyes never leaving hers as his hand wandered up to her thigh and gave it a gentle squeeze „There is no one else coming”
Before the words had even fully left his mouth, Padme already jumped up to her feet and bolted for the exit. However, when she finally reached the door panel and slammed the release button... nothing happened. She was trapped.
„There is no need to panic, love. Everything is okay” the Emperor’s voice sounded from behind her, far too close for comfort and she did not even have to turn around to know that he now had her caught not only in this room, but also between his body and the door.
And yet, she still did. Just to show him that she wasn’t afraid. Even if deep down they both knew that was the farthest thing from the truth.
„Let me out” she demanded, trying to sound confident and firm, however failing miserably.
„I will if that’s what you wish” he said, tenderly running the back of his hand down the side of her face „But first you’re going to hear me out”
„I’m not interested in anything you have to say” she replied in barely a whisper, hoping it would prevent him from hearing just how much her voice was shaking.
„Oh, but I think you are. Because it concerns your fiancé”
„Rush?” the name slipped out of her mouth almost by itself, which although was a somewhat standard way of asking ‘what about him’, evidently did not sit well with Vader.
„Do not speak his name in my presence!” he roared, his face scrunching up in unspeakable fury as his hand shot out to her throat, squeezing it hard enough for her to feel the warning, but not enough to affect her oxygen flow.
„I-I’m sorry” Padme stuttered, praying to whoever was listening that her apology would placate him, which to a degree it did – he looked much calmer now than he did mere seconds ago, especially after she forced herself to reach for him and run her hands down the lines of the well-defined muscles of his chest. However, despite all that, the grip he had on her throat remained unyielding „What about him?” she asked, figuring that if her apology did not prompt him to let her go then perhaps playing into the little game he had prepared would. Correctly.
„I think it will be best if I just show you” he said, his expression oddly grim for someone who just got what he wanted as he finally released his grip, but Padme did not have a lot of time to think about it, because right after he pulled out a small holoprojector out of his pocket and holding it up for her to see pressed play.
The image immediately sprang to life, revealing...
„No...” she whispered, unable to tear her eyes off of her very own fiancé aggressively pounding into a woman bend over his desk. A woman that was not herself. „That’s not true. He wouldn’t”
„Yes, he would” he said firmly – wanting to ensure she truly grasped what she was seeing, but at the same time sounding almost apologetic, that she had to find out this way. Meanwhile his arms sneaked their way around her waist to stop her from toppling to the floor „And not just with her. I have about a dozen more of similar recordings, that for a small price some of the women he’s been with have graciously provided me with”
„B-but... we were supposed to get married. W-we were already trying for a baby. Because he wanted it. With me. H-he said so. He... he loves me” she mumbled, her words half coherent even in her own ears, refusing to believe that what she had just seen was true.
There must’ve been another explanation – it was an old recording, from way before they got together; it was fabricated; he’d been drugged; coerced; blackmailed... All of the different possibilities swarmed in her head, but they’ve been all disproved by one single thing – the absolute pleased expression he had on his face, exactly the same as the one he always had during sex. And the framed picture of them together standing on the edge of his desk.
„No, Padme. He does not” Vader said emphatically, rising her chin up, so he could look her in the eyes and see if she finally understood what he was telling her. „He loves having you around – a good, little girl waiting for him at home, that he can stick his dick into whenever he stumbles home after a long day of work and happens to be wanting”
Her body started to shake as the previous heartbreak she felt was replaced by anger. This man knew nothing about her or her relationship. He had no right to lecture her. He had no right to stand there and pretend that he cared.
She jerked in his grip, unwilling to listen to him for another second, but the Emperor held strong.
„Tell me, how many times has he left you unsatisfied? How many times have you bled right after just because he didn’t bother to wait for you to get wet enough? How many times has he told you that it is you that’s the problem? Because I’ve talked to some of those girls he’s been with, and they had some pretty interesting things to say...”
„Stop!” she yelled, covering her ears as she burst into an uncontrollable torrent of sobs „Why are you even doing this!? What do you want!?”
„I want you to see that he is not the man you think he is” he said softly, pulling her against his chest, which against her better judgement Padme practically melted into, wanting nothing more in that moment than to feel even the slightest bit of comfort. Even if it came from him. „I want you to realise that you deserve better than his sloppy kisses and poor excuse of sex” he continued, stroking her hair in a soothing manner „That you deserve better than him. So you would finally leave him... And be with me instead”
„What?” her head immediately shot up to meet his gaze, so she could confirm what she already knew – that she had misheard. However, the moment her eyes found his golden orbs – filled with nothing but complete sincerity and deeply surpassed longing, she quickly realised there was no point in fooling herself that it was the case.
„I’ve been madly in love with you for almost a decade now, ever since you walked into that little repair shop on Tatooine and asked me why I wasn’t playing with other kids” he confessed, leaving her dumbstruck for only a second, as her brain frantically tried to connect the dots. And then she remembered.
The Trade’s Federation Invasion on Naboo. A daring rescue by two Jedi Knights whose names would forever be carved in her memory. A ship malfunction. Crash landing on a sand covered planet with two scorching suns. And him – a handsome boy covered in smear, whose smile made her heart beat a little faster. Who risked it all so she could go seek help for her planet. And then disappeared, never to be seen again. Anakin.
„W-wait, that was you?” she whispered, unable to believe that the man before her was the same boy she once knew, but as her eyes scanned his face, she finally started to notice the resemblance.
His boyish features were long gone. Sharpened by the years of merciless training and incessant battles. The numerous scars littering his skin, starting with the one slashing over his right brow had given him a sort of rugged look. And yet, hidden just beneath the surface – in the curvature of his nose, in the wild glint in his eyes, that in the right light seemed to shift from gold back to their once so beautiful ocean blue colour, in the smug smirk that even back then could make her grow week in the knees, she could still easily spot her Ani.
„I think you already know the answer to that” Vader – Anakin – replied, smiling at the recognition he saw in her eyes „When I told you that it was because I was a slave and couldn’t go anywhere without my master’s permission you looked at me, with those big, confused doe-eyes of yours, like the sole concept was alien to you. Like you’ve never even heard the term ‘master’ or ‘slave’ before” he said, sounding as if her unawareness of the cruelties happening outside of the Core Worlds was something to be celebrated, when in reality all she felt was shame.
She had been a queen back then, having taken part in countless humanitarian missions directed at victims of floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters. However, hadn’t even had an idea, that just few systems away from hers there were people benefiting from owning other people. Forcing them to gruelling labour. Selling them like animals. And acting like there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Like it was the most normal thing in the world to ask for a young serving girl in exchange for a hyperdrive... I’m sure I’ll find a good use for her, master Jedi.
„You made me realise that not every place in this Galaxy is as bad as the one I’ve been brought up in” Anakin continued, his voice ripping her out of her own head just in time to prevent her from going down the spiral of what-ifs and dark thoughts. „Where all people are free to do whatever they want. Where kids are allowed to be just that – kids. Where they can be happy. Safe...” he said, the word bringing out another memory from the day they met.
Hey, Ani! Less talking and more fixing droids or else your back will get thoroughly accustomed with that fancy little cable I found! She remembered Watto – his owner – yelling from the other room where he and Qui-gon had been negotiating the price of the new hyperdrive they needed. And the look he gave her right after he barged into the one they were in... Well, well, well. Perhaps we can make a deal after all.
„I’ve decided right then and there that one day I will make the whole Galaxy so. I told you as much. And you, a complete stranger, whose quality of life would not get affected by this whatsoever, had offered to help”
„Everyone would have done that” she rebutted quietly, considering herself undeserving of the tremendous amount of credit he was ascribing to her, simply for acting like a sensible human being and showing compassion to a boy far less fortunate than herself.
„Perhaps” Anakin admitted. „However, most would have stopped on empty promises. They certainly wouldn’t create an entire group charged with liberating slaves right after they returned home.”
„How do you know about this? When they came back you weren’t there” she whispered, lowering her head to hide the tears glistering in her eyes as the utter heartbreak she felt the day Sabè came back from Tatooine and informed her that the boy she had promised to help was nowhere to be found coming back swinging at her with full force.
She had spent years looking for him. Sparing no resources to check even the faintest trail concerning his whereabouts. Mourning the kind soul lost to the Galaxy forever.
And now he was here. Standing right in front of her. Safe and sound. As the sole ruler of this blasted Empire.
„No, I wasn’t. Palpatine already had me in his clutches by then” he said, a wincing grimace flashing over his face at the recollection of that particular period of his life, the memories of which still sometimes plagued him right before he fell asleep. „However, I did keep an eye out on my mother, who your friends had freed and helped build a life for herself on Naboo. And, of course, on the beautiful queen who had helped her”
Anakin paused taking his sweet time to admire the hot red blush that blossomed on her cheeks at the compliment.
„When I found out you were taking the role of your planet’s representative in the Senate I was ecstatic. I’ve spent countless sleepless nights trying to come up with the best way approach you. Imagining how you would laugh at my cheesy pick-up line and yet be unable to resist my charisma. How you would bite your lip in embarrassment each time I paid you a compliment. The way your eyes would sparkle the moment you saw the place I had picked out for our first date – the royal gardens, which I had commissioned to be redone, so they would look identical to the ones on Naboo...”
Although his confession should have deeply unsettled her, as after all to put that much effort into impressing a girl he had met once ten years ago bordered on obsession, Padme couldn’t help but find the gesture romantic.
And truth be told if he had done what he had planned she would have totally fell for it.
„However” Anakin kept on talking, his face visibly darkening as he started to get to the part about why all of his plans fell through „The day you arrived I got held back in my office and when I finally broke out you were already with him. Looking pleased as ever as he pulled you in for a kiss”
The scowl that twisted his face, as he practically spat out the last word, reshaping it into an impenetrable mask of cold fury and all-consuming possessiveness, in which there was absolutely nothing left from the kind boy she knew, was enough to make Padme cower in fear.
„Force, I wanted to murder the man” he snarled through his teeth, still visibly engulfed in in the negative emotions brought up the memory of her in the arms of another but noticing how much he’d sacred her doing his best to stifle them. „I was actually already halfway there with a lightsaber in hand when I realised I couldn’t do it. Because if I did I would successfully forfeit any chances I had with you. So, I decided to wait, hoping that this silly infatuation of yours would soon pass. However, it didn’t and with your wedding day fast approaching I knew I needed to do something”
„So, you decided to host a fake party just so you could get me alone?” Padme asked, judgingly raising her eyebrow as even considering his track record with the whole remodelling of his home for her and all, this seemed to be a bit excessive.
„I was desperate, okay!? And if we’re being honest this party is the realest one yet”
„What do you mean?” she asked, her eyes narrowing down in confusion.
„This series of mysterious parties for the most elite ones of the elite that I’m supposedly organising is all a one big sham, made up by people wanting to exalt themselves in front of their friends and co-workers. However, one that I had no interest to expose. You’d be surprised just how much some people are willing to improve their work performance for a chance to find themselves among the guests”
„What!? But Rush said...”
„That he’d gotten one and refused? Please... if it were true he’d be the first one here to kiss my feet” Anakin cut in, perfectly on point, as if he had already expected something equally pathetic from a man like him. „And I think I told you not to use his name” he reminded her, his eyes shining with jealousy and possessiveness as he slowly ran his thumb across her throat.
„S-sorry, it slipped” she stuttered, refusing to admit even before herself that the quiver in her voice was caused by an emotion that by all means was not fear.
„Oh no, don’t apologize, love. Just be sure not to do that again, cause the next time it... slips you might not like what I’m gonna do to you” he said and although his tone sounded threatening, his words were in fact the furthest thing from a threat.
They were a promise. One that sent a pleasant tremor through her entire body. One that she desperately wanted him to fulfil as she knew it would help numb the devastating pain of heartbreak and betrayal she felt. However, she also knew she couldn’t ask him to do that. Because in return he expected something she knew she couldn’t give. Commitment.
„I... I think I should probably go home now”
„Why?” Anakin asked, a shadow of panic flitting across his face, for even though he had promised to let her go if she wished, he had clearly been counting that his confession and everything he had revealed would get her to change her mind.
Not to mention, that instead of ‘home’ what he had really heard was ‘to him’.
„Because you don’t deserve to be treated like a consolation prize, Ani” she said, extremely regretful for having to turn him down, but also knowing that in the current state of things it was the right thing to do. „For the last two years my life revolved solely around him. Around the future I thought we’d build together. And now, all that’s left of it are the broken pieces of my heart, which no matter how much I hate to admit it, even after all he has done, still belong to him”
„I understand” he whispered, however instead of stepping away like she assumed he would Anakin only pulled her closer.
„And you’re... okay with it?” she gasped, tensing as one of his hands slid down to her bottom, while the other moved to caress her breast.
„Look, Padme... I have already decided that you’re my forever. However, if you’re not ready to make that choice yet then allow me to at least be your distraction”
Without waiting for a response Anakin leaned in, crashing his lips against hers and although she did not kiss him back, at least not immediately, she also didn’t push him away.
So she’s a bit of a fixer-upper
That’s a minor thing
Her, quote, „engagement” is a flex arrangement
And by the way, I don’t see no ring
So she’s a bit of a fixer-upper, her brain’s a bit betwixt
Get the fiancé out of the way and the whole thing will be fixed
„Over?! What do you mean it’s over?!” Rush exclaimed, utterly shocked that a woman who not so long ago, had been so blindly in love with him as to conform to his every littlest whim, seemingly overnight decided to break off their engagement, and absolutely furious that, as if the whole situation wasn’t bad enough, this bitch had the nerve to do so over a kriffing comm.
„How about you ask L-Lana? Or... Or Jaina? Or M-Mira?” she stammered, her voice whiny and shaky, sounding as if she was in the middle of crying and struggling to surpass her sobs.
„Is that what this is about? Did someone at that party told you I am having an affair?” he cooed, actually humoured by her meagre attempts at defiance, however having dealt with worse before, confident that in just a few more minutes he’d have his naive, little Senator wrapped right back around his finger. „You can’t tell me you actually believed them, darling. You know I’d never –”
„Save it you f-fucking b-bastard. I saw the h-holos”
„Okay. Fine. Maybe I am” he admitted, seeing no point in continuing to deny this any longer if the option of her simply taking his word for it over this of some random rich pricks was now completely out of the question „But what difference does it really make when at the end of the day I always come home to you?”
„I can’t believe you just seriously asked me that. Someone will stop by this evening to get my stuff. Goodbye, R –” she cut off with a sharp hiss „Senator.”
With that being said the transmission was finished.
„Good girl” Anakin purred against her skin, tossing away the comm he’d been holding up to her lips, which she could not do herself, as her wrist had been tightly bound above her head with a scrap of what was left of her dress.
„Does that m-mean you’ll let me come now?” she whimpered, bucking her hips, unable to stand him just rubbing against her entrance for another second.
„A deal is a deal, my Lady” a devilish smile spread across his face as he buried himself within her, his eyes jumping between her beautiful face, now completely contorted in ecstasy and a brand-new golden band glistering on her finger.
