What if Emily was raised playing the piano, but stopped after her ‘mission’ with Dole, but when he escapes, she picks it up again and finally brings home a small piano. One day after work, JJ stops by with a gift(JJ and Will were never an item; they stayed as friends only) and finds Emily’s door open, so she calls out softly, but when there's no reply, she gets nervous and lets herself in awhile calling out again so as not to startle Emily. As she gets closer to the front room, she hears the piano and comes to a stop in the doorway to just watch. She calls out to Emily when there's a pause in the rhythm and startles her(I didn't know you played). Emily flips around with her gun, trembling as though expecting someone, but blinks a few times before lowering her weapon(JJ?). JJ comes to sit next to her on the bench and presses a note(what's this one?). Emily just stares, confused and still off-kilter. Emily breaks and spills everything to her and makes JJ promise not to tell anyone, but when Emily starts pulling away from the team, JJ gets nervous and tells Hotch, and they can stop Emily shortly before she planned to leave and go after Doyle alone. Emily isnt captured, and things get a bit frosty between JJ and Emily till Hotch finally brings Emily to the side and basically goes dad mode and lectures her about how jj was freaked out and scared for her and it probably saved emilys life and that they need to bring the team in but theyll run it outside of the bau as to not bring eyes to what theyre doing so basically Emily doesn't get kidnapped and no Doyle going stabby stabby at Emily.
