Chapter Text
1000 years ago, the moon was home to a great civilisation ruled by Queen Serenity. Everything was peaceful until the arrival of the evil Queen Beryl.
"Hahahaha! First, the moon shall be mine, then the universe!" Queen Beryl shouted in glee. She was a tall figure with long wavy bright red hair, pale skin, and wore a long purple dress that reached the ground, She was also the commander of the Negaverse.
To conquer the moon, Queen Beryl unleashed the destructive power of the Negaforce. Although her world was destroyed, Queen Serenity's last hope was the power of the Imperial Silver Crystal and the Crescent Moon Wand.
"Only this crystalline wand can combat the power of the Negaforce. Never let our enemies get them, or the universe is doomed. But most of all, you must protect our dear princess Serena! Understand?" Queen Serenity asked in a commanding tone to her remaining guardians.
"Yes!" Luna and Artemis say in unison.
The Queen sent the Princess and the children of the moon to the future on Earth through moonbeam crystals, with their memories lost to them all. The Queen's cat advisors, Luna and Artemis, must find the princess so she will at last be safe. And so our story begins.
Present Day
Serena was walking home depressed from a pretty bad day at school. Another bad test score of 20%... She didn't want to show her mom that she failed the test that she "studied for", so she was thinking of excuses not to show her. Too bad she was too deep in thought not to see the monster right in front of her.
"A monster! Run!" One citizen cried.
"That thing's gross! Let's get outta here!" Another panicked as they ran away.
As Serena heard the crowd panicking, she got out of her muttering state and finally looked up to see a giant crab monster while holding her crumpled-up test. "Hm...?"
The crab monster stopped walking and noticed her staring at him.
"Huuuh? Shouldn't you be running?" the crab monster asked in a menacing tone. The crab monster grins and inspects Serena before talking again.
"A student, huh? By the looks of things, I bet you're all proud of your life right now, right? I am Crablante! Made from the energy of a person who just so happens to eat a lot of crabs! Why aren't you running? Do you want your energy stolen? Is that it?"
Serena stares at the crab with no emotion before replying. "Well, not quite... I'm no ace student. Not the brightest, but definitely the clumsiest. Right now, I have failed my English test. I promised my mom that I would study for it last week. I couldn't care less about anything. So I'm in no mood to run just because the mighty Crablante has appeared."
Crablante grins at that response. "Your eyes are lifeless, no energy coming from you at all, just like mine. From one set of lifeless eyes to another, I'll let you go. Besides, right now... I'm hunting a different prey." He lifts his crab arms up and snaps them close.
"A kid with a stick and a black cat with a crescent moon on its forehead. And when I find both of them, I'm gonna steal all of their energy!"
The crab monster laughs and walks off as Serena continues on her way. Serena eventually walks past a park and finds a black cat with a crescent moon forehead being harassed by a kid with a stick.
"What're you looking at?" the boy asked with a tone, What's his problem? Serena inspected him and looked on with a shocked face.
'The kid and the black cat... If they're caught... they're both dead!'
"Hey, kid. Did you and your cat mess with some crab monster earlier?"
The boy looked at her in confusion. "Huh? The cat's not mine, I was chasing the cat at the park with a stick and we both ended up scratching the crab's chest."
Serena's eyes widen at that information. 'It's definitely them... They both have no idea what they've done. What do I do? I could still help... But man, this kid isn't cute at all, the cat's acting weird too. Why is it staring at me? And what's with that weird crescent on its head? Is it a tattoo? Can cats get tattoos...? Whatever, it's none of my business... I should just walk away. Right. I mean, who really cares?' she shrugged as she walked away from the situation.
"I found you!"
The Crab monster rushes forward and attempts to grab both the kid and the cat with its claw. But Serena managed to rush forward and leapt to protect the boy in the last second, while the black cat ran away instead.
What the heck am I doing!?'
"Huh!?" the kid said in response when he was suddenly pushed away. All Serena could do was look at the kid in concern. "Kid, he's after you and the cat! Get outta here! Don't worry about me. Just go!" she yelled.
"B-But... The perfect stick that I found..." he stammered. Serena had a vein pop out of her forehead. "Your stick?!" They both look back to see Crablante stomping on the stick, shattering it into a million pieces.
"Hey, blondie, what's the big idea?" Crablante asks with anger as he starts stomping toward Serena and the child. "Don't tell me you're gonna protect that stinkin' brat!"
"C-Come on, you're gonna get revenge over some accident? Think about this!" she asked, trying to reason with him.
Crablante growled before he lifted his arm up. "I've already stolen lots of people's energy. Whoever makes fun of the way I look pays the price. No exceptions. By the way, those two pests ruined my perfect body!" Crablante shows his crab chest to Serena, which has been ruined by its marks.
"Look at these claws! I can't even use a towel to wipe it off! Get in my way, and I'll make sure you'll never experience life as a student ever again!" He yelled in frustration at the 11-year-old. Suddenly Serena starts to chuckle then full-blown starts laughing which makes Crablante pissed.
"It just came to me. You look exactly like a villain from this manga I'm reading! I think it's called One Punch-"
Crablante immediately smacks Serena away onto the playground behind her.
"Die."
Crablante prepares to grab the kid with both his claw arms when suddenly, the black cat comes back, biting onto a locket and starts retaliating by attacking the monster's eyes, which stunned Crablante for a bit.
"AGGHHH!!! YOU DAMN CAT! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" It yelled, cowering and trying to rub its eyes at the same time. The kid was in shock and couldn't move. The black cat, however, runs towards the area where Serena was smacked.
Serena struggled to get up with how hard she was smacked and in her blurred vision, saw the black cat walking up to her. "Ugh... Kitty...? What are you..."
The black cat puts the locket down and scoots it towards her with her nose. "Use this to transform, it's your best hope!"
Serena was shocked when she heard the cat speak. "Huh...? A talking cat? I guess I did get knocked too hard, huh...? Am I hallucinating?..." Maybe all that late-night 'studying' where she was just reading manga finally got to her.
The cat shook her head, "No, you're not!" The cat reassured her, "You're Sailor Moon, and that boy is in big trouble. You have got to help him!"
Sailor Moon...? Help him...? She didn't know what she was talking about, but it sounded interesting. "So... what do I do then...?"
"Take this locket and repeat after me. Moon Prism Power!"
"Okay...?" she said in confusion.
She took the locket in her hands and shouted the phrase that the mysterious cat told her to say, "Moon Prism Power!"
Serena transformed into Sailor Moon, which shocked the little girl hard, one because her bruises she got from the crab felt less painful, and two, this dream kept getting weirder and weirder; she would never study that hard ever again. She was fully distracted until she heard the cries of the kid from earlier.
Meanwhile
The boy screamed as he is trapped between Crablante's crab hands, his energy slowly being drained out of him. "AFTER I'M DONE WITH YOU! I'M GETTING THAT OTHER BRAT!"
"Hold it right there!" Crablante turned around to see a blonde walking up to him with bravery, when in reality, Sailor Moon was scared out of her mind; she just wanted to go home. "Hm? And who are you?" he squints his eyes at her.
"Well, my name's..." She hesitated before realising that it was do or die. "I am Sailor Moon, the champion of justice! And I say, on behalf of the moon, I shall right wrongs and triumph over evil! And that means you! BRING IT ON, CRAB!"
Crablante just scoffs at the little girl. "Sailor Moon? Never heard of you. And I'm sure I never will again!" He lets go of the kid and charges towards Sailor Moon and easily smacks her away. "So much for a champion of justice! You're pathetic! You don't stand a chance against me!" he yelled.
Sailor Moon gets hit a few more times until she dodges, which ends up with Crablante stabbing the ground, making him stuck there. Sailor Moon coughs up blood before asking Luna for help. "Luna... What do I do...?" she struggled to say as she got the wind kicked out of her.
"Quickly throw your tiara and shout 'Moon Tiara Magic!'," she told her.
Sailor Moon took the tiara off her head and threw it at Crablante. "Moon Tiara Magic!"
The tiara turns into an energy disk and strikes directly at Crablante's chest. Killing him instantly. Crablante screams in pain before he is turned into dust, and possibly reduced to atoms. Sailor Moon breathed heavily as she looked at the ashes of the monster while the kid watched the entire event in shock.
"Has it really been three years since then? After that day, I trained so hard that I almost went bald. I became so powerful that no one can beat me. I'm the destined hero that Sailor Moon is supposed to be, but... I don't even need to transform to be powerful. So what is this? What's wrong? Why does my heart feel so empty? At least Luna is happy that I'm taking it seriously... That cat..." Serena wrote in her diary.
Time skip to Serena, who is now 14 years old, as she returns home from shopping after her Mom tells her to go buy some crabs for her. She runs into another monster and casually destroys it in one punch yet again.
"Serena! We're having eggs over rice tonight, I hope you don't mind!" her mom, Ikuko, spoke as she went inside her house. Her dad, Kenji, and her little brother Sammy were already sitting at the table, waiting for her.
"It's fine, ma..." she sighed. After dinner, Serena returns to her room and continues writing in her diary about the events that happened in the past 3 years.
"Each day after school... I come home uninjured and wash my clothes. When I'm out fighting monsters, I never feel as if my heart's really in it. I mean, I'm just a champion of justice as a hobby. In other words, as long as I get a kick out of it, that's all I care about."
"After that crab incident, Luna told me that she'd been searching for me for a very long time, that I was the "chosen one" and was sent here to guide me on the path to my "ultimate destiny"." She thought back to a memory of when she returned home after she killed the crab, with Luna following her.
"Listen to me! Don't you hear what I'm saying? Sailor Moon, sworn to defend the Princess of the Moon! Powerful evil forces have appeared here on Earth, and that special locket can help you fight them. You are Sailor Moon, and you must fight evil when it confronts you! You must not be afraid." Luna said in a commanding tone.
"I didn't pay attention to what you said after 20 words, but fighting evil sounds cool!" she smiled as she was fixing herself up with bandages.
"This is no joke, Serena! Do you hear me? This is your destiny!" Luna assured her.
Serena's only response was looking at her strangely, "...Ok"
Serena chuckled at that memory before she continued writing in her diary again.
"I'm not necessarily sad about that. But there's something bothering me lately. As the days pass, my emotions grow more distant. Fear, tension, joy, anger... I feel none of them anymore. But now, all I need is one punch to end it. In exchange for power, maybe I've lost something that's essential for a human being."
Serena eventually stops writing and puts the diary under her bed. She drifts off to sleep and dreams that she could fight someone as strong as her.

Chapter 2: Chapter 1 - The Strongest Woman
Chapter Text
Serena woke up and realised something. One, she's not in her room, and two, she's floating...? She always wanted to know what it was like to fly, but in this situation, it was... odd. She looked at the environment behind her, and everything was in ruins. Buildings were destroyed, roads covered, and the sky was baked in red for some reason. The stars were shining brighter than usual.
It was then that she also realised that she was no longer in her pyjamas but in a long white dress with yellow parts. She also noticed a long sword in front of her, which was shining brightly.
'I don't remember wearing this dress around... Feels great! Although this sword is definitely not my style, I can just punch whatever's in my way...' She thought. It was then she noticed something fast coming towards her; she dodged whatever it was, and it crashed into the ground.
'Who was that? What's their problem?' she scratched her head.
The dust eventually clears and reveals a woman in gold armour with a sword of her own, her intense hatred radiating throughout the destruction.
"So that's it, you intend to seal me by force using that sword... Just as she once did... But... Power alone cannot defeat me! For this body belongs to ነልጎረዐዪ ፏልረልሸጎል! The most powerful scout in the galaxy!" The unknown person yelled out.
All Serena did was fondle her hair, wondering who this weirdo was, maybe a monster she had previously fought.
Then, the unknown person's appearance drastically changed. Their armour turned black, they grew wings, and their skin tone changed. "Prepare yourself, SAILOR MOON!!!" the person declared. They charged at her, and just as they were about to take a swing...
(RIIIIIIIIIIIIIING)-
*SMASH*
Serena destroyed her alarm with pure reflexes again. She looked around her room and realised that the sun was already out and that she was almost "late for school" again. She turns her head and sees Luna standing sitting on top of her drawer with a disappointed look.
"Ugh, finally up, are you?" Luna scoffs. "That was the 6th alarm you broke already, and you still wake up late? What type of warrior are you supposed to be if you keep acting like this?" she scolded.
Serena scratched her head and yawned, "Sorry, didn't hear ya... 20 words or less..." she mumbled as she wore her uniform for school. Before Luna could respond, she was interrupted by her mom, whose voice could be heard from downstairs.
"Serena! You're almost late for school! Hurry up and get dressed!" she shouts out.
"Coming..." she mumbled, not bothered whether she could hear or not.
Serena comes down the stairs with her uniform and sees her holding a banana out for her. She takes it and eats all of it instantly. Her mom used to question why she only ate a banana every single morning, and all she said in response was 'training'. Whatever that meant.
"Why didn't you try waking me up like back then?" Serena asked. Ikuko sighed as she looked at her daughter, "I did, Serena, except that one time I did, you almost hand-chopped me to the floor!" she said with her hands on her hips.
"That was one time!" she complained, "But I need to go now..." Serena took her school bag and put on her shoes before opening the door. She would've been out already if it hadn't been for her mom stopping her.
"Serena! Aren't you forgetting something, dear?" She yelled out from the kitchen while holding onto something. Serena looked back and sweatdrops.
"Oh yeah..." She grabs her lunch before doing her 'normal jog' to school. She was about to say goodbye when she realised Serena was gone already.
'I wonder how she gets to school on time if she wakes up 5 minutes before the bell rings... Oh well...' she shrugged it off, as long as she doesn't get a call from school, she doesn't mind, although she was concerned that one day she might oversleep.
Serena's jog ends up creating a medium-strong wind burst, and a few people end up face-faulting on the floor, especially three kids who were chasing around a random stray cat, a few trash bins end up toppling over. She also ends up running over some monsters that called themselves the Subterraneans. The king got splattered like roadkill instantly, so the rest cowered and went back into the hole they came out of.
At Crossroads Junior High School, Miss Haruna, Serena's homeroom, maths, and PE teacher, is marking attendance. She's almost done and sees Serena's desk empty. She looked down to mark her absence until she heard the door open, and close, and someone running to their desk, all in one second. She looked back up to see Serena sitting down at her desk with a bored look.
"Oh! Well... um... present... I guess..." she mumbled in shock. 'Did I not see her there or am I just dreaming...?'
Miss Haruna brushed it off, thinking she didn't sleep that much the night before. "A-anyways... 'Where was I going with this...? Oh yeah!' I marked all of your tests from yesterday's algebra test! Most of you did well, some of you did okay, and the rest? Well... Serena, we're going to discuss this outside..."
Lunchtime
Serena is sitting at her usual spot for lunch, except her head is hanging low, and she's too depressed to eat her lunch. Her friends Molly and Melvin were there trying to support her. Melvin had messy brown hair with large glasses while Molly had wavy orange hair, slightly shorter than her shoulders and wore a teal bow in her hair.
"Chill out, Serena, it's just one lousy test. It's not like it's the end of the world or something!" Molly said, trying to cheer her up.
Serena looked up at her friend with a dejected face. "You don't get it, Molly. If my mom finds out I flunked that test, she'll ground me and take away my allowances! How am I supposed to play the new Sailor V video game if I have no money?" The mere thought of it made her depressed. At least she wouldn't take away her training... Right?
Her other friend, Melvin, walks up to her to try and cheer her up, with emphasis on TRY. "Hey Serena, I heard about your test. Want me to be your tutor?" Serena looked at him with a disappointed look. "Over my dead body..." she grunted.
In an unknown area...
Queen Beryl and her army have been revived by unknown means. Of course, when she realised this, she went straight to business, with her army agreeing in unison. "The oracle says it's time to attack the other dimension to unleash the power of the Negaforce!" she triumphed.
"But to do so, I shall require a great deal of energy. We shall get it from the planet Earth. Jedite, present yourself and tell me of your progress there."
In the crowd of monsters, Jedite appeared, he had blonde hair with a simple purple uniform with red stripes and was one of the four commanders of Queen Beryl.
Jedite bows down before he speaks. "Yes, Queen Beryl. As we speak, my servant Morga is on the other side preparing to gather energy. The humans are weak and helpless, and they will yield to our will, and then nothing will stand in the way of the great Negaforce."
"Do not fail me, Jedite, I need their energy." Queen Beryl commanded.\
"Yes, my queen." He bowed.
Meanwhile, Molly decides to bring Serena to the mall to help cheer her up. They end up going to her jewellery store and find something odd... One thing, Molly's mom, Susan, is acting weird, which they both noticed.
"Come on in! Everyone's welcome. Make me an offer!" she says with a bit too much enthusiasm.
"Molly, what's going on?" Serena scratched her head.
Susan noticed the two and smiled, "Welcome, ladies! Here's your chance to own diamonds, sapphires, and rubies." She rambled on as they both looked at her with scepticism.
"I don't get it. My mom is sure acting strange..." Molly said with concern in her voice.
"Yeah, what did she put in her coffee this morning?"
"Today only, everything in the store is 90% off. Please feel free to try on anything!"
She faces away from the crowd and grins.
'And surrender your frantic energy to Queen Beryl and the negaforce. I am Morga, loyal disciple to the Negaverse, and my jewels will drain away all your energy!' Morga thought in her head. Just then, Jedite communicated to her telepathically.
'You have done well, Morga. So much greed! So much energy! Queen Beryl will be most pleased! Feed the negaforce, foolish humans! Queen Beryl will soon triumph. Prepare them, Morga, for her triumphant arrival' he grinned.
'With pleasure.'
She goes on to advertise more jewellery for cheaper prices, which ends up with a bit of chaos in the store. Serena and Molly end up getting pushed out near the exit.
"That place is totally weird like your mom, Molly. What's up with that?"
"I don't know, but I'm really worried..."
Serena sighed. "I think I'll just take a nap before showing Mom my grades..."
"Okay. See you tomorrow, Serena."
Serena gets out of the store and looks back at her test results in despair. "How can I tell Mom I flunked another test...? Algebra is just really hard! I can't show her this thing!" She crumples up the paper and throws it behind her, hitting someone on the head.
"Hey! Watch where you're throwing, meatball-head!" Serena frowned and turned to look at the person who insulted her. Before she could say anything, he continued. "A thirty? Are you stupid, or just incredibly lazy?" the guy asked. He had short black hair, blue eyes, and wore a green jacket, black turtle neck, and indigo pants. He was also wearing shades for some reason, maybe to look mysterious.
Veins popped up on Serena's forehead. "HUH? HOW DARE YOU! GIVE ME THAT!" she yelled, not noticing the boy flinch at her tone. She grabs the paper from the stranger and walks away while stomping on her foot, but not before sticking her tongue out to him. As she walks away, she caused the ground to crack a bit with each step.
"The nerve of that guy! Calling me a meatball-head! Hmph! Not even that cute anyway, who does he think he is?" she grumbled to herself.
Cut back to the stranger whose name is Darien, was still processing what had just happened. 'H-how did I get scared from her?' he trembled. 'Something about that girl seems odd to me... also did she just break the ground!?' he just realised as he stared at the concrete in front of him. Luna was watching from behind a sign of another building, witnessing the entire event.
'Seriously...? a thirty...?' She put her paw on her temple as she sighed in irritation.
Later, Serena arrives home and, much to her dismay, her mom asks her about the test.
"So, how did you do on yesterday's algebra test? Ikuko asked with a smile on her face.
"Test in algebra?" Serena tried feigning stupidity only to fail miserably.
"You know, the one you were studying for the other night with Melvin. You two were up so late at the library. His mother said he got a 95, and they're very disappointed," she said with a smile.
"Oh yeah... that algebra test... well..." she started fidgeting with her hands.
"Serena, how did you do?" Ikuko folds her arms.
"It's like this... I..." she scratched her head.
Ikuko puts out her hand, "Let me see."
Serena gives in and gives her the crumpled paper. "... Ok..." she said with no emotion.
Silence filled the room, Serena was starting to grow worried...
"THIRTY!? YOU SAID YOU STUDIED!" She scolded, spinning the spatula in her hand with intent as she looks at her daughter.
"I.. um... It's better than last ti-" Serena tried saying before being interrupted.
"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO? GO BACK TO THE LIBRARY TO STUDY FOR ANOTHER TEST!" Ikuko pushed Serena out of the house and locked the door behind her.
"AND NO TRAINING!" she added.
That last part was too much for Serena. "EH? NO WAY! IT'S TOO LATE IN THE AFTERNOON TO STUDY! IT'S BAD FOR THE BRAIN! I NEED TO WORK OUT!!!" She lightly pounded on the door, trying not to break it too easily.
Meanwhile, in Jewellery OSA-P, everyone in the shop slowly lost consciousness one-by-one due to their energy being stolen from the jewels they tried out.
Molly looks at them in worry as she backs up towards the wall. "Momma, I'm scared... What happened to all your customers?" She looks at her mom, expecting a reply, only to hear a chuckle from her. "M-momma?"
She turns her head around to look behind her and shows that she's not who she really is.
"I'm not your mother, Molly dear!" she grinned.
All Molly could do was muffle her scream.
Serena snuck into her bedroom on the second floor by jumping through the window from the front yard. There she plumped onto the bed, very tired from today's events, and no monster to fight recently, making for a very boring week.
"Studying so hard is very tiring... all those books... all those words... can't be good for a person... How does Melvin do it... Whatever... I'm so sleepy..." she yawned. Just then, Luna enters from the window with a stern look.
"Oh, you won't be sleeping now, Miss Sailor Scout!"
Serena jolted upright and looked towards the window with full energy. "Luna! You're back, anything new about those Negaforces?" She was told about the Negaverse before, but seeing as there hasn't been any activity about them since her debut, she wasn't worried, that is, until Luna felt something off recently, so she investigated.
"Why, yes, Serena, I did. Earlier, I sensed something was wrong in that jewellery shop where you were."
Serena was excited, but then she realised something else. "Eh? You were following me?"
Luna shook her head before responding. "Oh, hush, Serena, I was wandering around the city the whole day. Besides that, really? A thirty on your test? Talk about the Moon's greatest defender on Earth..." her voice full of sarcasm.
"Quiet, Luna! Just tell me the good news already!" she hissed.
Luna sighs before giving in. "You're such a crybaby sometimes, anyway. Earlier today, I saw people in there suddenly losing consciousness for no reason, so I had to run home to tell you that it has to be the Negaverse's doing, perhaps there's a monster in there."
"Oh? Well, this better not disappoint me like all the other fights..." she said with a flat tone. She grabbed her locket and shouted out her command.
"Moon... Prism... Power...." she said in a monotone voice, transforming into Sailor Moon.
"Alright, Luna, let's-" She was interrupted when her ornament buns started alarming, and a cry for help could be heard.
"HELP ME! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!" Molly's cries could be heard.
"Oh yeah... Molly's in there too..." she says casually like it's another Tuesday.
"Can you at least sound concerned for your friend?" Luna snapped.
Sailor Moon put her arms on her hips and leaned closer to Luna. "Well excuuuuuse me, Luna, it's been a long day..."
"Ugh... Let's go already!" she scoffed.
With that, they both jumped out the window, just as Ikuko opened the door. "Huh, I swear I heard Serena in here..."
"Ack... Somebody, please help me!..." Molly struggled to get out as Morga had her hand around her throat. "There's no one to help you now, little girl," she laughed as she changed into her true appearance. A tall monster with messy brown hair with stretchy limbs.
Molly becomes more terrified at what she's looking at. "Soon, you and your kind will cease to exist. Once Queen Beryl unleashes the negaforce, she will destroy you all!" Morga exclaimed.
It was then that they both heard a voice from the entrance. "Let her go."
Morga twists her head 180 to look back behind on who said it while her body still faces Molly. "Who said that?" she snarled.
Sailor Moon appears at the front door, her appearance hidden by the full moon that shined brightly behind her. "I said let her go!" she said with a lot of pride in her voice.
"And who are you...?"
She smirked in response, "Me? I'm Sailor Moon, just a champion of justice for fun," she says with absolutely no emotion at all.
Luna, who also followed her, slaps her forehead on what she just said.
"What kind of... crappy back story is that!? I was formed from the pure dark energy from the Negaforce, to drain all the energy away to our Queen Beryl! Arise, my children! Serve the great power that is the Negaverse!" she commanded.
Suddenly, all of the knocked-out customers wake up and growl at Sailor Moon, slowly walking towards her.
Sailor Moon looked at them with confusion and boredom. This is what the Negaverse was capable of? Brainwash into mindless zombies? Lame.
One of them attempts to lunge at her, but Sailor Moon dodges and ends up going inside the store. As she dodges their assault, she picks up Molly and puts her in a safer place, behind the counter, before moving away.
Morga, growing tired of their incompetence, makes her arm grow longer and shoves Sailor Moon into one of the building pillars.
"Man... What a letdown..." S-Moon muttered.
Luna appears from behind the pillar with concern on her face. "Sailor Moon, what are you doing? End this quickly already, or else the whole universe could cease to exist!" She said worridly.
Meanwhile, Morga and her army were slowly approaching her.
"I know Luna... It's just that... this monster isn't that strong at all..." she sighed.
Sailor Moon's aura shot up drastically that the buns started vibrating and sending signals towards Morga, with her army losing consciousness.
"WH- WHAT IS THIS FEELING? GET AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed, flying out of the store in an attempt to flee from this dangerous opponent. S-Moon raises her eyebrow and follows her. "Hey, where ya goin'?" This question makes Morga angry, and he turns around.
"You! I don't know who you are or where you came from, but the amount of energy in you is unbelievable! For that, you shall be dealt with from all these energies I gained from those humans!" She boasted.
"You humans are nothing but an energy source for our queen. In order to end your civilisation, the Negaverse has given birth to me!"
"You say you're a champion of justice for fun? For fun? How dare you confront me, Negaverse's greatest creation, for that insane reason!?" Morga starts growing in size to intimidate this knockoff hero with dumb buns for a head, her hands stretching more and more towards her.
"Yet what could be expected from a pathetic hu-"
*BAM*
"-AHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
S-Moon destroyed her in one punch, her body spreading out towards the city before turning into dust.
Meanwhile, in the Negaverse, Jedite's energy source got cut off, much to his shock. 'What was that energy I just felt? Someone will pay dearly for this!' He scowled.
Sailor Moon's fists were smoking, and she looked in disappointment before slowly getting angry.
"No... Defeated in one punch... Not again...!"
Before she was about to scream at the top of her lungs in the middle of the night, she heard movements from behind her. She looked back to see someone in a tuxedo with a tophat and a mask.
The person in question didn't know what to say from when he first witnessed what was happening, he thought S-Moon was losing the fight, only to somehow come out on top in the end, and that aura... What was that!? And why was his heart racing quickly!? Nethertheless, he cleared his throat.
"You have done well, Sailor Moon! And now Molly's mother and all the other women are free. Others will test you. Do not be afraid, as I will fight with you!" he boldly exclaimed.
"...Who are you exactly...? I didn't exactly see you at all..."
He was startled by that, "Uh- well, I am Tuxedo Mask! Remember that name!" And with that, he vanishes, leaving a rose behind where he stood.
Luna, outside to see S-Moon kneeling on the ground, "Are you alright, Sailor Moon? Talk to me!"
All S-Moon could do was look at the rose with slight interest on her face.
Next day - Crossroads High School
"Serena, you're not going to believe this, but my mom and I had the strangest dream last night that we were attacked by this hideous monster and this very strong warrior named Sailor Moon saved us!" Molly said with excitement.
"Are you kidding? I had the same dream!" one of the girls in her class exclaimed.
"Me too!"
"That's very weird..."
"Serena, isn't that the weirdest? Serena?" She looked at her friend only to see her sleeping peacefully on her desk with a snot bubble forming out of her nose.
"Z...z...z..."
Chapter 3: Chapter 2 - Computer School Blues
Chapter Text
After Sailor Moon's fight against Morga, more Negamonsters appeared than ever in the past few weeks, the only problem was that they were all weak, all dying in one punch, she even tried using her trusty old tiara, and that still obliterated them instantly, much to her dismay.
Negaverse
"You will be pleased, my Queen. I have excellent news about our mission." Jedite exclaimed.
"Your last few attempts failed abysmally, Jedite, but give me your report. Perhaps you can redeem yourself." Queen Beryl scolded.
"I discovered a new energy source that is sure to be rewarding. Many young humans lust after academic achievement and will do anything to succeed, expanding enormous amounts of valuable energy."
Q-Beryl didn't quite understand but it sounded promising. "How do you plan to gather this energy?" she narrowed her eyes at him.
"By something the humans call a "computer". We shall turn their own device against them."
Queen Beryl accepted it and told him to carry on.
"I won't fail you, My Queen..." he bows then disappears into the crowd.
Meanwhile
"Why aren't you studying? Don't you have a test tomorrow?" Ikuko scolded Serena who was mindlessly reading comic books in the living room.
Serena brushed it off, "It's no big deal, ma. It's not until tomorrow afternoon so relax..."
Serena tried walking into her room before Ikuko stopped her. "Stop right there. Your father and I are afraid you'll flunk school. I have to know... where did we go wrong...?" she fakes a sob to make Serena feel bad.
Flashback...
Serena sat at the dinner table with her mom looking over her homework.
"Okay Serena, try answering this maths equation, come on, it shouldn't be that hard!"
"... I'll try..." she says with absolutely no emotion or excitement.
"Great! When I come back, you'd better solve the question young lady, you got that?"
Serena nodded dejectly "...Yes ma..."
"Good, now, if you excuse me..."
Ikuko walks up from the dining table to go to the bathroom
Serena sighs and rubs her temple "...Ugh... maths... why does it have to be so complicated...? Fine... so if I remember anything from maths class... I need to do this... to get that... and to solve that... I need to do this other thing..."
"Alright I'm back! Did you manage to solve it?"
"Uhh... Yeah.... I did..." She scratched her head with worry.
Ikuko smiled brightly at her response "Good! So what did you get?"
"Uh..."
Ikuko looked at her answer before her smile was instantly wiped off and replaced with a scowl.
"S-SYNTAX ERROR!?!? SERENA ARE YOU SERIOUS WITH ME RIGHT NOW!?!"
Ikuko's rage was enough for Kenji and Sammy to get scared, run up the stairs, and hide in their rooms as fast as possible. For Serena, no monster has scared her in years, but an angry mom is enough to keep her a bit shaken. Who knows what she might take away from her?
Present
Serena shivered at that memory, "Mom, it's not your fault, but it's just not the same as when you were young. There's much more pressure, so I need a break from all that terrible tension. Comic books and training are my only means of survival!"
Ikuko crossed her arms and looked at Serena with a disappointed look "Oh Serena... I find that all too familiar... That's the same tired excuse I used on MY parents!" Serena grumbled, knowing this is a losing battle.
Eventually, Serena gives in and goes to study in her room. With Luna watching over her.
"Stop chewing on your pencil! It's bad for your teeth." Luna scolded.
It helps me study..." she grumbled in response.
Luna was on the carpet floor when she noticed Serena looking through a book. "Is that your maths homework?"
Serena was startled but she tried to act cool "Uh... Yeah!... It's just that these problems are really hard..."
"Maybe I can help you figure them out, let me take a look."
"Luna no!"
Luna takes a look at what Serena is doing and it turns out she's just reading more comic books on top of the homework that she was supposed to work on
"Comic books again! Serena, there's a wise proverb from long ago that goes like this: "You reap what you sow"."
"Eh? I'm not really into sewing you know...?" she lays down on the carpet and sighs.
"Not that kind of sewing... Why do you always put off doing homework, and everything else important?"
"Why do homework at all? If my destiny is being a Sailor Scout like you're always saying..."
"Sailor Scouts need to study! You need to know more about the world." Luna interrupted.
"But schoool is soooo haaaard...!" she whined, she'd rather fight a million monsters than do something as mundane as schoolwork.
"The hard part makes you strong. Just do it!"
"Actually, I got strong from 100 pushups... 100 si-"
"Enough excuses already!"
The next day, Serena is at school with her friends and one of them mentions something interesting.
"I heard some new girl has transferred here, and she's a total brainiac!" one girl said.
"Yeah, she's from Brighton Academy." another said
"The brain farm?" another added.
It was then Melvin overheard the conversation and added himself to it. "Somebody call? Did you hear? There's a new girl named Amy. She's from Brighton Academy!"
"Yeah... We were told... What are you doing anyway? Doing a full report on her or something?" Serena asked to which he nodded in response.
Melvin sees the new girl across the hallway looking outside the window.
"Look, that must be her. I'm really looking forward to meeting her!" he yelled a bit too loud.
The group continued to talk about the new transfer girl, talking about the rumours about her, not really caring if the new girl heard or not, with only Serena noticing that she was looking at them and probably hearing them.
After School
Serena was walking home from a long day of school when she noticed the new girl, Amy, getting jumped by Luna.
"Wha!? You gave me a start, kitty. What are you doing here?" Amy asks while scratching Luna's chin which distracts her.
'W-What am I doing again?' Luna blinked slowly.
"Wonder what she's up to..." Serena walks up to them to investigate.
"You look so cute with your crescent moon. I wish I could have a nice kitty like you." Serena then announced herself out loud "Luna! Come here, little kitty. Sorry, she bothered you. Amy right?"
Amy narrowed her eyes at her "Your name's Serena, right? Your friend group said I would be a total snob..."
A sweatdrop forms on Serena's forehead. "Uh... That was just gossip... You know how it is these days..." she scratched the back of her head.
"I heard you guys think I'm a brain farm reject..." she says with a deadpan look.
"T-that's what everyone else thinks not me!" she tries to defend herself.
Later, Serena and Amy talk about random things, and Serena convinces Amy to go to the arcade with her.
"Grrrr... Every time! I get so close to beating this boss and I lose! Fighting games are so unfair... You wanna try it?"
"I've never played any video games before so I'm not sure I can make a difference..."
"Well, there's a first for everything. Don't be embarrassed if you get beaten up so easily."
Somehow, Amy goes on to beat every single opponent in the arcade mode without losing a life and without getting hit at all... Almost like she's a King or something... She easily destroys the final boss: Hay-Tred with combos not even the crowd that formed around her or Serena knew before.
"Wha- Ho- Eh....??? You sure you haven't played this before?" Serena gasped.
"Oh my! No, never. Did I do good?" Amy looked at Serena for reassurance, ignoring the crowd around her.
A guy working there named Andrew sees the commotion and Serena sees him crowding around Amy. "Huh, didn't think anyone would ever beat that... So, you know her Serena?" Andrew asked.
"Oh! Hey Andrew, this is my friend Amy. Not too bad, is she?" she looked at her friend only to see her blankly staring into the screen until she suddenly stood up quickly. "OH NO! I'M LATE! THE PROFESSOR WILL KILL ME!" Amy quickly gets out of her seat and takes her bag, accidentally forgetting something left near the controls.
"What's the big rush all of a sudden?" Serena asked.
"My computer course! A special computer school, but it's only twice a week for three hours each, see you tomorrow!"
Amy rushes out before Serena can say anything, "More school huh...? Couldn't imagine..." she muttered. She sighed, hoping that Luna was wrong about her being from the Negaverse... from what she was told.
"...? The heck's this?" She picks up a computer disk and figures it is Amy who owns it. "Guess I'll give this back..."
Everyone is shown walking inside the building while the window above, the new Negamonster, Garoben is watching them. "Excellent... With all these minds pouring their energies into our program, we should make Queen Beryl very happy... so many helpless lambs..." she grins.
Later
Serena and Luna are outside the computer school building looking at the schedule on the wall.
"Yuck... More school?" she fake barfs, "I don't go to school more than I absolutely have to... It's dangerous to my health. 'Besides almost getting bald during my training'... But I guess I just have to return this thing I guess..."
"Just be alert when you go inside, it could be a trap, alright?"
"Whatever trap they have, I'll be ready for them, it'd better be interesting..." she said as her face sharpened, a perfect jawline appearing.
A certain someone noticed her and walked up to her. "Talking to yourself again, meatball head?"
Serena turns her head around and sees a random guy talking to her, "Eh? Who are you again...?" she says as her face returns to normal.
"...It's Darien..." he states with sweat drops on his head.
"Oh, right. Later then." she waved, clearly not remembering meeting this man.
Serena just slowly walks away from the computer school building as Luna follows behind awkwardly.
'D-Does she really not remember me...?' he thought, for some reason, kind of sad about.
They walk around a street corner so that they can no longer be in Darien's sight.
"That was close... I thought he heard me talking..." Luna sighed.
"Yeah... and I still have this disk too... That Dylan guy made me forget all about it..."
'Pretty sure his name is Darien...' Luna deadpanned, it was then that she thought of an idea, "Why don't we check what's inside it in a computer store?"
"Eh? For what?"
"So we can find out what Amy's up to!" Luna says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Sure... She's an international spy from Saitama Prefecture... Here are all her secrets... Luna, I think you're going crazy on me!" she waved the disc at her.
(Real place for those who didn't get the memo...)
Later in the computer room, Luna is typing on the keyboard trying to figure out what's in the file.
"Huh... You're pretty smart for a cat, you know?
"You... could... learn... if you... wanted..." she says while concentrating on looking through the disc. As she looks through the content, Serena notices one particular file.
"Nah... Hey... what's all that stuff?" Serena opened the application without reading the name.
Luna's eyes widen realising Serena's mistake "Cover your ears, Serena!"
The computer starts making a loud ear-piercing noise and Serena simply blocks her ears with her fingers "How annoying..." she muttered.
The computer played a video with flashing lights while the audio was something entirely different "WELCOME, STUDENTS. YOU HAVE BEEN SPECIALLY CHOSEN TO SUPPLY YOUR ENERGY TO OUR QUEEN LEADER, QUEEN BERYL."
Luna gasped, thinking she was right all along, "It's worse than I thought! It's a brainwashing program! Serena, your friend is from the Negaverse!"
"You know I can't just walk in there like this..." she muttered.
"True... Use the lunar pen!"
Serena shrugs her shoulders in response, whatever works I guess. "Disguise power... Change me into... a superintendent."
After disguising herself, she runs into the building and finds the classroom Amy is in, only to realise it is locked...
"Excuse me, you have a guest outside..." she knocked, to no response.
"I'm coming in!" She pulls the door which ends up breaking the hinges and the entire door frame.
"... Whoops... I'm not paying for that... 'Especially with my disguise power! I'm such a genius!' Oh... It was a push door... not a pull..." she realized as Luna slapped her forehead in disbelief.
"Who's in charge of this bogus class!?" Serena declared as all the students groaned in response, the only shocked one was Amy, who wondered how the door got busted open like that, the teacher was nowhere to be seen...
"May I help you ma'am? Is there an emergency of some kind?"
"Yes, more like a meltdown crisis, Amy!" Serena said, trying to act like her disguise.
"...Have we met...?" Amy asked with a dumbfounded expression.
Serena shrugged her shoulders and transformed into Sailor Moon, much to Amy's shock.
"Wh- Sailor Moon!?" Amy's mouth is suddenly covered by the 'teacher's' hand.
"Oh Amy, can't I leave you in charge for one minute? What's with this rude disruption and destruction of property? Can't you see we're trying to conduct a class here? I'm afraid I'll have to force you out..." The teacher transforms into her true appearance, Garoben.
"Huh... So Amy wasn't working for the Negaverse... What now Luna?"
"Um... wing it?" Luna shrugged.
"As long as I don't pay for property damages..."
Sailor Moon clears her throat. "Let her go already, or face the consequences!... I am Sailor Moon, the champion of justice for fun. And I'm gonna smash your head in!"
"Pop quiz time! 355 x 268." Garoben suddenly asked.
"Eh...?"
"GYA HA HA HA! Times up, kid!"
Garoben starts throwing paper at her which doesn't look threatening at all, except they don't bend and they stab the wall behind her. Sailor Moon dodges but ends up in a corner as Luna watches from behind the door frame.
'Oh great! And now she's trapped in a corner! What a heroine!'
Garoben commands her drained students to surround Sailor Moon. Even though they barely had any energy, they were still able to follow commands.
"I'm going to give you two choices. One, you surrender now, or two, you surrender later."
'Are all these monsters only good at making mindless zombies, lame...' she started fending off the mindless students by slightly pushing them back, not wanting to hurt any of them.
"Hmph, no one can resist my powers, surrender your energy to the Negaverse! Give into me now!" she forces Amy to look at the computer screen.
"I.. I'll never give into you! Ever! L-let me go, you slimy old witch!"
"Stop resisting my power! Relinquish your ener- what's this mark from?" Garoben looked at Amy's forehead, seeing a strange symbol.
Luna stared at the mark in shock. "Mercury! She's not from the Negaverse, she's one of us! Amy is Sailor Mercury!" She summons the transformation pen for Amy and runs towards her.
Garoben, angered by this, throws Amy to the ground, "Grr who needs your energy anyways? You failed this class. SLICE OF THE DEADWOOD!" Amy narrowedly avoids her attacks as Luna throws the pen towards her and tells her to shout 'Mercury Power'.
"Mercury Power!"
Luna sighed in relief, "Talk about cutting it close... I thought Sailor Mercury was a goner for sure!" Luna then told Mercury to use her attack, which she did.
"Mercury Bubbles Blast!"
Her attack covers the air in the cold mist, making the monster and the students shiver and somewhat blind to their surroundings, unable to do anything.
"It's... cold... I'M FREEZING! WHERE ARE YOU?"
Garoben tries to swing at S-Mercury but misses.
"Missed me! Sailor Moon, defeat it while you have the chance!"
S-Moon slams a chair on the monster, WWE style. Destroying it. The mist clears, as every student in class returns to normal as they aren't controlled anymore.
"Oh, they're back to normal." Sailor Moon muttered. Luna decided to congratulate Sailor Mercury.
"Sailor Mercury, you were great! Welcome to the Sailor Scouts!" S-Moon turned to look at her new teammate.
"So you're Sailor Mercury... Cool..." Was all she could say.
"Sorry for thinking that you were a spy for the Negaverse... I hope you're not mad about it..." Serena said.
"It was my fault..." Luna admitted.
"No way! Once you saw what was in that computer disk, it was only natural that you'd suspect me. I would've. I'm just glad we beat them!"
Serena and Amy shake each other's hands and enjoy the moment.
'Hehe... Now I don't have to work so hard...' Serena smiled. "Now that we're friends, will you help me do my homework?"
Chapter 4: Chapter 3 - The Lone Priestess
Chapter Text
"What could be the cause of the massive mosquito outbreak this year?" The news presenter asked the 'audience' watching on their TV. "We asked Dr. Tomoe, a scientist who has written several books on many species of animals."
The camera pans to Dr Tomoe, who had white hair, round glasses that covered one eye, and wore a lab coat. He nodded before looking at the camera. "Thank you for having me. Well, let me come right to the point. These mosquitoes belong to an entirely new species. However, based on our findings, we figured out these groups of mosquitoes have unnatural behaviour and would go and target anything with a life source, as findings of 'dead' animals have been found by our team. They are dangerous and will most likely go after humans. Good day." He walks away from the news reporters, never to be seen again...
"Thank you, you heard him, folks, you- Sorry... Wait What? Okay... Got it. Sorry, but we interrupt this program for breaking news. A large swarm of mosquitoes has been sighted in Crossroads (Azabu-Juban). Farm animals that look like they're on the verge of death have also been confirmed true by Dr Tomoe. If you encounter a swarm of mosquitoes, flee immediately. This is an emergency evacuation warning. No resident is to go outside under any circumstances. I repeat, no one in Crossroads is to go outside..."
Meanwhile, Serena is also listening to the news on a small radio in her room. "Great... Now we've got a mosquito outbreak?..." She was just looking out the window when suddenly... a mosquito landed on her arm that was resting on the window frame. She raised her arm and was prepared to destroy this pest.
*SLAP*
The mosquito somehow survives and flies into her bedroom. This gets a vein popping out of her, and she attempts to destroy the mosquito flying around her room with her bare hands. This ends up shaking everything in her room. Luna just watches with a deadpanned look. She would've kept going if it weren't for her mom telling her to stop making so much noise from downstairs.
Serena sighs and replies back with a simple 'kay', not bothered if she could hear her or not. She stops and sees the mosquito fly out the window. Seeing this, she grabs the nearest fly swatter and jumps out the window to follow it.
"SERENA!?!?" Luna said in shock, she jumped out the window to follow her.
In the empty streets of Crossroads, a mass of mosquitoes is flying over the city. Only one person remains investigating in a red sailor scout outfit.
"Acquiring target."
A random thug didn't get the memo and started stealing from a store. Unfortunately for him, once he got out, a rush of mosquitoes covered the panicked thug and drained him of all his energy, making him look almost like a mummified body. The thug lives, but barely.
Meanwhile, a mosquito monster was flying above Crossroads, taking all the energy from the mosquitoes. "Come on, you guys. That wasn't nearly enough. Go get some more for me!"
The mysterious Sailor Scout had long black hair and kept a serious look on her face. She finds the mosquito queen and attempts to stun and freeze the monster with her paper charms, and if it hits, she will burn the monster down with ease. The mosquito dodged and looked at the person who threw it.
"I see. You make them suck the energy of animals and humans, then take it all for yourself. You must be controlling the mosquitoes via some sort of signal. That would explain their mysterious behaviour. So if I were to get rid of you, the leader. Would the swarm disperse too?" Mars stated.
The monster, named Mosquito Girl, grinned. "Our next meal is here. Go drain her dry." The swarm of mosquitoes surrounds her, and she fights back.
"Mars Fire Ignite!"
Sailor Mars blasts all the mosquitoes surrounding her into ashes, then looks at the main target.
"I am about to eliminate you. Stay where you are."
Mosquito Girl grinned before she went crazy, "You, eliminate me? Go on and try!"
"GOT YOU!" Serena slapped the swatter on the ground, thinking she had killed the mosquito, but it flew through the net, probably because of how beaten up it was after the other few attempts failed, which made a slight crack on the road.
"SERENA! IT'S ONE MOSQUITO! Besides! I sensed evil Negaforces nearby, so you must transform!" Luna yelled as she chased her.
Serena stops before she sighs, "...Fine... Maybe I'll be able to DESTROY it as Sailor Moon..."
"Moon... Prism... Power..."
"Good, now fo- WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?" Luna cried out as Moon continued chasing it, grumbling about mosquitoes. She unknowingly went in the direction of where Sailor Mars and Mosquito Girl were.
'That buffoon! I need to call Sailor Mercury here quickly!', Luna sighed in irritation.
Meanwhile
"-Ignite!" She shoots multiple fire attacks at the mosquito girl approaching her, but misses.
"Maybe I should claw your leg next?" She grinned before realising. "Wait, where are my legs!?"
S-Mars managed to put both of her paper charms on Mosquito Girl's legs, which separated them. Seeing this, she attempts to fly away.
"Impossible. You cannot escape from me." She continues her assault, but Mosquito Girl manages to dodge all of them.
'What the heck is that woman? She's gonna get me if I don't do something. The townspeople may all be hiding, but there are plenty of animals around. Come here, little ones. Empty all your stored energy into me!' Mosquito Girl commanded.
Sailor Mars stared in shock. "So many... If she's been collecting energy from the whole town and beyond, then it may not simply be a food source for her. I should put an end to this as soon as possible..." She muttered to herself before hearing someone from far away.
"GET BACK HERE, PEST! YOU AND I AREN'T DONE YET! Sailor Moon yelled through the empty streets as she swung the battered fly swatter around.
"SAILOR MOON, SLOW DOWN!" Luna yelled as she ran to follow her.
Sailor Mars raised her eyebrows. "Who's this woman...?" She missed the fact that they were literally wearing the same uniform, and instead, focused on her meatballs for hair.
Sailor Moon arrived at the scene, the broken swatter having landed some of the pieces in her mouth as she spat them out. "The swatter pieces! Ack! It's in my mouth! Pft! Pft! You little-! Huh? Are those...mosquitoes?!" She widened her eyes as she saw the group of them bundled up together.
"You there. Evacuate now. That swarm is conscious. If it senses you, it will immediately attack."
Luna arrived shortly after, gasping for breath. "I can't believe you, Sailor Moon... To go run off like that..." She trails off, seeing the girl in a red uniform and putting two and two together. "HUH!? SAILOR MARS?"
Sailor Moon looked at her blankly. "Eh? You know her or something?"
The large mass of mosquitoes swarmed the three, but suddenly a large concentrated blast of fire and the paper charm completely engulfed the entire city street block, including S-Moon and Luna, who hid behind her back.
"Since you spoke, I thought you would have at least human-level intelligence. But you were just a bug. You brought all the mosquitoes together into one, easy-to-burn swarm." Sailor Mars analysed.
"When I spotted you, I knew there were no living beings within meters, so I should have been free to fire away... Wait, those two might have-"
"Sailor Mars, right? You saved me! You're amazing..." Sailor Moon smiled at her as she was smoking from the fire. "What was that just now? You totally made them bug out!"
Sailor Moon's clothes were fine, with a few scorch marks, but other than that, everything looked normal. Except her hair was on fire. Luna came out alright as well, before she looked up at her.
"S-Sailor Moon! Your hair!" Luna pointed out in worry.
"Eh...? What about it..." She scratched her head before realising it was quite warm. "Huh!? Get it off, Luna! I don't want to be bald!"
Sailor Mars was standing there, dumbfounded about what was happening. The cat talked, and the girl named Sailor Moon's clothes were fine, but she was only worrying about her hair. What? Luckily, someone arrived at the scene and took care of the fire.
"Mercury Bubble Blast!"
The attack from Sailor Mercury was able to stop the fire burning Sailor Moon's head, which would have devastated her forever.
"SAILOR MERCURY! THANK YOU!" She tackles her to the ground in a tight hug, forgetting how strong she is.
"-Oof! Ah! Sailor Moon! I'm glad you're okay! Just... don't tackle me to the ground next time...! Ack! Too tight! Too tight!" Sailor Mercury squealed out.
"Ah, sorry... Anyways... Turns out we have a new scout member here... Sailor Mars, I think..." They looked at the new member who was looking out for the monster, seeing if it had died or not. Unfortunately, it didn't.
"I no longer need the tiny ones. I mean, look..." Mosquito Girl trails off before she slashes the ground, which ends up creating deep curves. "HOW STRONG I'VE BECOME!"
Mosquito Girls aims for Sailor Mars and picks her up to attack her relentlessly in the air. S-Mars can't do anything as each slice hurts her severely, and it would also cut up her paper charms in the process.
S-Mercury didn't know what to do and if her attacks would even do anything... Sailor Moon was busy trying to find her mosquito swatter, and Luna was panicking that the next Sailor Scout might die.
'I see. The more energy she consumes, the more powerful she becomes,' S-Mars thought as she fell towards the ground.
"I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD AND ENERGY NEXT!"
'I let my guard down. There's no chance of winning. All I can do is accept death... Forgive me, Grandpa...'
Suddenly, S-Moon dashes towards Mosquito Girl and does a 'simple kick' to her face, kicking her far away, never to be seen again...
All S-Mars could do was open her mouth in shock at her strength and speed.
"Mosquitos... suck!" S-Moon smiled.
S-Mars is caught by S-Mercury before she can get more hurt from the fall.
"So... Where should we go now...?" S-Mercury questioned. S-Moon shrugged in response.
"T-the Sacred Temple! On Cherry Hill!" S-Mars suddenly blurted out.
"Oh, you're awake..."
"Please! I know someone there..."
"Eh? Okay."
Before S-Mercury can ask Sailor Mars questions, she loses consciousness.
Cherry Hill
Everyone has already transformed into their civilian form, even the unconscious member, for some reason. The old person who lived there was shocked to see her like that,t but reassured Serena and Amy that she'd be back in no time.
"Thank you both for taking care of Raye. I'll make sure she's fully healed in no time." The old man states. The two waved goodbye as they were ready to leave, until they heard the shoji screen door suddenly open.
"WAIT!" The girl yelled out as she was wrapped in bandages.
"Huh? Raye! Get back on the bed! You're still injured!" He scolded.
"P-Please! Tell me your name! Both of you!"
"Oh. It's Serena." She replies in a flat tone.
"I'm Amy." She smiled.
"...Thank you... " Raye slowly retreats back to her room before having one last look at the girl with meatballs for a head.
Chapter Text
A few days later, Serena, Luna, and Amy decided to visit Raye; little did they know what was coming for them.
"Ah! Are you looking for Raye? She's in her room down the hall and to the left. You'll be in for a real surprise." The old man who worked there explained to the two.
Serena stared blankly and responded. "Oh, uh... sure. Let's go, Amy." She gestured to her as she nodded. They both walked into the shrine, looking for Raye. They eventually find her room and knock on the shoji screen.
"Uh... Raye... you in there?" Serena asks. The door opens, revealing Raye's room, which is pretty basic enough for an average Japanese bedroom.
"Ah! Yes! Come in, we have much to discuss, Master." Raye says enthusiastically.
"W-what?" Amy stuttered, just catching what she said.
Serena and Luna look at each other with a deadpanned look.
"Master...?" They both mutter in disbelief.
They all sit around the table as Raye offers them tea, which Serena accepts.
"I'm not looking for disciples, so no... Wait, you've fully healed up already?" Serena realised as she looked at her closer, seeing no slash marks on her arms.
"Wow! How is that possible?" Amy wondered.
Raye smiled as she explained herself. "My Grandpa, despite being a Shinto priest himself, has helped me with my injuries with herbal medicine, herbs that he grows himself. As long as he has them, healings are done quickly."
"I've never seen anything like it..." Luna muttered in awe.
Serena nodded her head. "You're an odd one..."
"What type of herbs do you use for strength, Master?"
"Eh? Don't use any."
"Then what about your hair?" Raye pointed.
Serena was baffled by what she was asking. "Uhh... Shampoo and conditioner...? What about it?... It's all natural..."
Raye got into a questioning pose. "But that would mean your meatballs for hair don't factor into your strength..."
Serena grew a tick mark on her head. "SO WHAT IF THEY'RE SHAPED LIKE MEATBALLS, HUH? WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?" She yells while Amy and Luna try to laugh quietly.
"Me? You'll listen to my problems?"
"No thanks... I'm good..." Serena bluntly states.
"Actually, three years ago, when I was eleven, I was just a normal Shinto Priestess," Raye states, much to Serena's slight annoyance.
"Did you hear what I just said?"
"We were still poor and had to pinch pennies, but we were still able to get by thanks to our services. My father... He is a powerful politician who left our family in order to focus on his career and only meets with me on my birthdays... My mother passed away because of her illness, and he never bothered to visit her... The only family I had left was Grandpa Hino. We lived a peaceful and happy life together, until that fateful day, when a crazy monster went out of control, a large, tall, thin humanoid creature attacked our town. We never knew why it happened; most likely, a failed body modification, which generated an irregularity in his brain. He destroyed everything in sight. Parks, schools, buildings, my temple... He took the lives of my relatives whom I have left. Miraculously, I survived, but being only a weak 11-year-old, I was alone and at the end of my strength, in a ruined town. That's when Grandpa Hino managed to save me, even at his worst. Even though he's not a doctor, he managed to fix me up and cater to my wounds. He was on a mission to stop the rampaging monster and end his oppression. I wanted him to give me anything to make me better, stronger, and faster. One day, another monster appeared. I didn't know what to do, I was scared, frightened, and feared that my life might be over and the new monster would also ravage everything in its sight, just like before. But suddenly, something inside me awakened. This pen appeared in front of my eyes, and somehow, I already knew what to do with it. That's how I discovered that I am a reincarnation of a past warrior. A strong warrior, born to defend the princess of the Moon. I never revealed it to Grandpa Hino, but I promised him I would terminate the evil monster and return peace to this world."
"...I see-"
"It's been three years since that day. At fourteen years old, I'm focused and driven. I wander from town to town eliminating evil. The monsters I have destroyed are numerous. But I have been unable to locate any clues about the insane monster, and have become increasingly frustrated and restless. I find myself chasing a virtual image of that monster whenever I face my enemies, and last week, when that mosquito monster appeared, I let my concentration slip and paid the price. I thought I could lose to no one but the rampaging monster, so I neglected to analyse my opponent and rushed in headlong to confront her. The result, as you know, was that an enemy with immense strength bested me, even as a Sailor Scout. If you had not been in that area, Master Serena, I would've undoubtedly lost my life. Master, you saved my life that day. The life that was once saved by Grandpa Hino many years ago has now, yet again, been saved by you, Master Serena, and I feel the weight of that responsibility. I must not allow myself to die before finding and executing that monster once and for all, and to achieve that, I have to continue fighting evil as a righteous warrior until that fateful day comes when he appears before me. I need to get stronger. Last week, when I saw what your strength was capable of, I knew immediately that I had to study under you as your disciple. If only I could be as strong as you and become such awesome power. I have an old enemy who must be defeated at all costs. The battle is not for me alone. It is for my entire town, and Grandpa Hino as well. I fully realise that I am still inexperienced, but now more than ever before, I need incredible strength so that I can eradicate the greatest of evils. Grandpa Hino-"
Serena slammed her hands on the table, surprisingly not breaking it into pieces. "QUIET ALREADY! SUMMARISE THIS STORY IN 20 WORDS OR LESS!!!" she yelled as multiple veins poked out of her head.
Luna and Amy were silently listening to her story, although Luna zoned out in the middle, and only Amy was able to listen to the entire story, but on autopilot. The shout from Serena was enough to get both of them to escape their trance state.
Meanwhile, in the Negaverse, Jedite was muttering to himself, angry that his plans were not going well.
"Mosquito Girl has been defeated... Useless minion!... Destroyed in one hit... Now the lone Sailor Scout has teamed up with the other Sailor Scouts too..." He sighed to himself.
Neflite, another commander who had long dark red hair, appeared with a smirk on his face. "I assume things are going pretty well?" He says in a sarcastic tone.
Jedite turned around and looked at him with a scowl. "Neflite... If you were in my position, you would understand what I have to deal with here..."
Flashback
"Jedite, we are pleased with the energy you have collected from the people on Earth. But you have also made several mistakes, and you have not been able to defeat those Sailor Scouts: Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and the lone Sailor Scout... This disturbs me, Jedite!" Queen Beryl scowled.
"L-let me explain, Queen Beryl!" He paled.
"This is your last chance, Jedite! Sailor Moon and her two little friends must be destroyed finally and forever. If you fail, the punishment is eternal sleep. I wish you success, Jedite, for the punishment of eternal sleep condemns you to the most profound darkness forever!" She commanded with authority.
Jedite leaves to go do some deep thinking.
'Hmm...What should I do with the lone Sailor Scout... If I could somehow get her to fight a strong monster alone... She can finally be defeated! Perfect! Now, I just need to think of strong monsters... strong... Wait! Of course!' Jedite uses the movement of the stars to show events that happened in the human world.
"That's right... Some foolish scientist was found guilty of "illegal medical practices"... I think his name was... Dr. Genus... Heh... What a fool... Now... The great power of the Negaverse! Guide me now to his abandoned lab's location!"
He uses his powers to mark the geological location of said lab, realising that it is far away from civilisation, perfect to lure the Scouts in. He teleported outside the abandoned lab that's been taped off by police.
"Heh, no amount of tape can stop me!" He boldly says as he teleports inside the building, wondering if there's anything of worth. However, most, if not everything inside, was seized and taken away... Or so they thought...
Jedite moved a heavy, empty desk aside and found a bunker entrance. There, it included the remains of Dr. Genus' experiments inside oxygen chambers, waiting to be summoned and a book containing the details of the monsters.
"Hmm... I'll try my hand on this one..." He looks at experiment number 69, Mosquito Girl and opens the chamber.
Mosquito Girl slowly wakes up, looking at her surroundings. "Eh... Is it time? Am I finally gonna serve you, Dr- Who? The hell are you?" She stared at the blonde with suspicion.
Jedite improvised, clearing his throat, "Unfortunately, Mosquito Girl, Dr. Genus is long gone, so now I have to finish what he started..."
Mosquito Girl put her arms on her hips, doubt written on her face. "Oh yeah? And what is it then? I've never seen you around before... In fact, I've only seen him with his other clones..."
"I... to complete the evolution of the human race, of course! You may not have seen me because he has a lot of clones of himself, or I may be doing other things outside of what he usually does... 'He could clone himself? That type of power would've worked wonders for us... Too bad it's confiscated.' He thought to himself.
Mosquito Girl narrowed her eyes but shrugged. "Hm... Right then... So what should I do then?"
"Well... Your first mission is easy: gather up a mosquito army and command it to steal energy so I can bring it to Queen Beryl!" He slipped out.
"Who?"
Jedite's face palmed, realising this was going to take a while to explain, especially with other monsters in store for him.
Many half-truths and half-lies later...
"Right then! I'll be off to steal some energy for your Queen Beryl!" She grins as she flies away to the nearest place with wildlife.
"Good... Do all the work for me... She will be most excellent!" He said amusingly, finally thinking he could one-up the Scouts who kept foiling his plans.
"Hah! What a fool you are. Letting only one monster do the job instead of releasing a few at once! I'll see you later... WHEN YOU GET PUNISHED! AHAHAHAHAHAH! Neflite mocks as he disappears.
Jedite frowned in irritation. "Bastard... Let's see if inviting Sailor Brat and her friends here at the lab will finally defeat them once and for all..."
Cherry Hill
"Master, here's the short version. Please teach me the way to become strong like you." Raye states as she bows down.
Serena stared her down with a serious look. "Raye... How old are you?"
"Fourteen!"
"Same age as me... I'm sure you'll surpass me in no time..."
Raye looked up in shock. "Do you mean that!?"
'I doubt that...' Luna thought to herself.
"I'm fourteen now, but I was eleven when I started training in the summer. Sure, I'll teach you. But it won't be easy. Can you handle it?"
"Yes, Master!"
"Say... While we were trying to find your room... Or, where you actually stay...What's with the other place?" Serena asked.
"That, Master, is our Shinto Shrine, where my sacred fire is located," Raye states, guiding them both to the building.
It was a normal temple with all the necessary stuff like a purification trough, offering hall, ema, etc, And inside was just that, a fireplace.
"It helps me meditate, as a Shinto priestess, of course. It also shows me visions of monsters that may attack. Such as the mosquito monster that Master Serena eliminated."
Serena thought for a bit. "Hmm... Maybe she can show me visions of future arcade events...?" She mumbled to herself, which Luna heard and frowned.
"No... Just no..." Luna sighed. 'To think that one of the Sailor Scouts I was supposed to find managed to awaken herself without my guidance...'
Raye was shown kneeling in front of the fire, concentrating. "Cleansing flame, provide me with your guidance. I feel a strange force approaching, and I'm worried something's going to happen..."
"Strange force approaching...? Amy... do you know something about this?" Serena whispered.
Amy shakes her head. "No... But I can check it on my mini computer if you want."
Luna nodded in agreement. "That would be a good idea, Amy. My senses are tingling as well. Go check outside this room so as not to distract Raye."
Raye suddenly stops and gasps. "I sense it! Object approaching at high speed- It's here!"
"Eh?"
"What!?" Luna gasped.
Suddenly, a praying mantis monster crashes through the ceiling and looks towards her. "Gyahahaha! My name is... huh...?"
*PUNCH*
"Pay for this woman's ceiling!" She says angrily to the already dead monster.
Amy shoves the sliding door open and is already transformed into S-Mercury. "Guys! There's more outside! Transform!"
Outside...
"So..." A slug monster comments to the other monster that looks like a frog.
"Hm?" The frog monster turns his head to the slug.
"It seems our advance agent, Kamakyuri, is down. I can't sense him with my telepathy anymore..."
"What!? Wasn't he one of our stronger guys?" The frog said in shock.
"I detect two outside!" S-Mercury scanned with her computer.
"Master! Leave them to me!" S-Mars exclaimed. They both come out only to see S-Moon already defeated them by burying them both in the ground.
"Don't bust people's ceilings!" She said angrily.
"N-nevermind..." S-Mars muttered, impressed by her speed. Sailor Mercury was less shocked as she was used to the meatball head's antics.
"Can't you guys come through the door?" S-Moon asks before she is then pulled to the ground by some other monster.
"Sailor Moon!/MASTER!" They both said with worry, running up to her.
"No, I'm fine. I kinda feel like a...young bamboo shoot..."
Suddenly, a tall, dark-skinned humanoid-like monster with long arms and long white hair appeared. "StRoNG eNErGY lEveLS DETeCteD..."
S-Mars gasped. 'A humanoid monster...? Could it be...?'
"yOU ARe nOT The TArGeT!"
"yOU DArE LOOk AWAy?" The monster says as it swings its arms at Sailor Mars and Mercury, missing them.
"Your AttaCKS Have NO eFfEcT on Me! i am The PinNAclE Of tHe hoUSe Of EVolution's scIenCE!"
"The 'House of Evolution'? I thought it was abandoned after Dr. Genus got arrested..." S-Mercury muttered.
"What does it want with my master?" S-Mars glared.
"it iS None of YOuR busineSS. aND it iS OuR rUlE ThAt aNY WhO OppOSe uS be ElIMInaTEd wIthoUT FaIl. I muST dEsTROY You!"
"Let me just shake this out... S-Moon says as she removes her boots to get rid of the dirt in them.
"You done...?" The lion monster questioned in disbelief.
"One sec... I'm done."
"Wait! Don't kill her yet!" The mole monster said in worry to the lion monster.
"Lion Slash: Meteor Power Shower!"
S-Moon dodged the slashes, and they ended up hitting the trees behind her instead. She then countered with her own attack, reeling her arm back.
"Moon... Consecutive... Normal Punches..."
The punches powered by the Moon destroyed the Beast King completely.
(Not like the moon power made any difference anyway...)
"N-No one told me he'd be like that! It's best we retreat now and regroup..." The mole panicked as he tried to dig underground for safety... Only for her face to appear in front of him.
"Foooound you!"
"No waaayy!!!!"
S-Mars and Mercury have managed to win over the humanoid monster, who is lying against a tree in defeat.
"Answer the question or be eliminated. Your choice." S-Mars said coldly, her arm up, ready to blast the monster if it didn't cooperate.
"It iS you wHo WILl be elIminaTED. YOu fOOL. i Am the thIRD MOsT PoWerful FigHTeR iN THe "houSE of evoLUTioN." At yOuR PoweR lEvel, You will NeVER beAt thE bEaST KiNg, THE seCoNd MoSt PoWErFul. You WiLL bE DestroyEd..."
S-Moon walks up to the group as she holds one of the lion monster's teeth. "You mean this guy...?"
The humanoid monster glared before instantly having a worried look on its face. "...Look, I'm really sorry! I'll tell you everything, just don't kill me!." It says in a robot voice.
"Eh...? What happened to your weird monster voice?"
"I just wanted to sound intimidating..." It admitted.
Jedite slammed his hand on the desk. "Bastard! The hit team has also been wiped out!? Even Merkava!? There's no other monster left to control!"
He flips through the notebook frantically.
"There's gotta be a monster strong enough to destroy those Sailor Brats!..." He said with frustration.
Notes:
Yes, I had to rewrite the entire story of Genos' backstory to fit for Raye's new backstory.
Had to rewrite a few things from Wattpad, how annoying... My own fault anyway.

Chapter Text
"As you know already... There was once a brilliant young scientist who was able to make a number of contributions to human knowledge. Eventually, however, he became disillusioned with the world. Thereafter, he devoted himself to research. It was only after he turned that his efforts began to yield results..."
"However, one incident finally led to his arrest; he was too greedy and was being tracked by police for a while, and he was caught. That would be the end of it, but recently, someone else came in and took over. He said he wanted us to steal the energies from the humans and feed them to the Negaverse. He also came and asked us to eliminate you all so that he can finally make her leader, Queen Ber-"
"Argh! This is taking too long!" S-Moon interrupted the monster Merkava.
"...Huh?"
"What's this got to do with me? You're just trying to sound cool again. Just get to the point, okay?"
"My master is a busy woman. Summarise it in 20 words or less." S-Mars glared.
"S-sorry... In other words, my new boss wants you to come visit him personally."
S-Moon stared with a serious look. "I'm not interested in a relationship right now."
"I think you misunderstood, Master. He plans to use everything in his power and the House of Evolution to eliminate you to finally serve his Queen. If we don't do something about it, he's going to send out more monsters to attack us. We cannot allow him a free hand. Our move should be to attack him." S-Mars explained.
"Sure, let's go, you two. Mercury, do you think you can do a location scan with that computer thingy you got? Thanks."
"Right!" S-Mercury and Mars both say in unison.
"...Huh? Now!?" Luna said in shock, watching the three walk off.
S-Moon pulls out a flyer from... somewhere...
"Yeah, there's an event in Crown Game Arcade where you can play all games for free tomorrow. Can't wait to beat my old high score in Sailor V." She says as she walks off.
Merkava just stares at the group anxiously. 'Not good. Better alert the new boss...' His eyes began to flash red before he suddenly stopped as S-Mars walked up to him.
"Hey, you. I have one last question. Was the House of Evolution developing humanoid monsters prior to three years ago? How many more are there? Have any of them destroyed towns in the past? Are most of them humanoid or cyborg?"
"I'm... not sure... but as far as I'm aware, I'm the only humanoid monster cyborg..."
"According to Merkava's report... all the Sailor Scouts are on their way here... Damn those brats... according to this book, Carnage Kabuto is the strongest monster experiment here... Tsk... So be it..." Jedite muttered to himself.
'From the first to the eighth floor, I'll lay it all with a group of monsters from the Negaverse... If I'm lucky... they will all take care of those Sailor Brats, I can't imagine what would happen if I failed and Queen Beryl found out...' He shuddered.
"According to my computer, the lab is located in a forest far away. I'm not sure if we can make it by sunset..." S-Mercury analysed.
"Master, what should we do...?"
"Hmm... Wait one second, guys." S-Moon leaves a dust storm and heads off to someplace else.
Luna coughs as she just sighs irritably. "Ack! That girl needs to control herself sometimes..."
She comes back with a shopping cart. "Here!" She said with a smile on her face.
"Master...?" S-Mars wondered.
"What's with the shopping cart?" S-Mercury asked.
"It's so you can both ride it while I push it and run to the location! Duh!"
"I'm not sure about thi-"
S-Mars gasped, interrupting S-Mercury's thoughts. "OF COURSE, MASTER! YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHAT TO DO IN ANY SITUATION!" She says as she gets in the cart and looks at S-Mercury. "Sailor Mercury, it would be best if you stayed at the back so you can guide where Sailor Moon goes."
"And where do I sit then!?" Luna questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Eh? Oh, the baby's seat, obviously." S-Moon states as she puts her in the baby seat and fastens the seatbelt.
"Ah!? Get me out of this!... This!... Aghh!!!" Luna squirmed in her chair.
"Oh, cheer up, Luna, it can't be that bad! Here, I'll make sure to guide you, Sailor Moon. Just follow these locations." S-Mercury guided.
Sailor Moon smiled. "Heh, well, I hope you're ready, make sure to hold on tight, really tight by the way."
"Wha-"
*ZOOM*
She instantly goes to her "jogging pace" as she goes through the forest that leads to the location. There she casually punched a bear out of her way, knocked a tree over, and jumped very high while carrying the cart to see if she was getting nearer.
They eventually arrived outside the lab, though the group were busy recovering from their cart ride.
"I think... I'm going to be sick..." S-Mercury groaned as she leaned against a tree.
"Master... I didn't think you'd be running the whole way..." S-Mars muttered.
All Luna could do was throw up.
"Well, sorry guys, it's the only way I could get to the place as fast as I wanted to." S-Moon shrugged.
"It's amazing that... you are never late... You are a true defender of the moon..." S-Mars looked at her in awe before she threw up.
S-Moon scratched her head. "Actually, I hardly ever arrive on time..."
5-minute recovery later...
"So this is..." S-Moon stated.
"The House of Evolution." S-Mars continued.
"One, two, three, four, five, six... Looks like it's about eight stories high... My computer also detects a lot of Negamonsters in there, about 180 to be exact..." S-Mercury analysed.
"Interesting... I wonder what the bad guys have in store for us."
"Master! I will eliminate them all for you right now!"
Before she was about to blast the entire building into mere ashes (If she was capable of doing so, anyway), she was stopped by her master.
"Uh... no. You might cause a forest fire with what your powers can do... I'll deal with all of them."
S-Mars gasped in admiration. "Of course, master! You always know what to do!"
S-Moon then runs through the taped door, goes through every floor and wipes them all easily while destroying some of the glass on the buildings.
"Master!" She runs up to the building, seeing the destruction and thinking she might be in trouble, S-Mercury stopped her before she could continue.
"Don't worry, she's fine. All signs of Negaverse monsters in the building are gone." She reassured.
"Right..." She sighed in relief.
S-Moon then peaks out the door with a lot of monster dust on her with a bored look. "They were all weak. We can explore inside freely now."
"Hm... There's nothing much here to look at..." S-Moon said in a bored tone.
"Well, Master, everything was confiscated after Dr. Genus was arrested after all."
Luna looked around before turning to S-Mercury. "Have you found anything?"
"Hmm... Ah! My computer detected dark energy somewhere nearby..." She looked around until it picked up something below the table, inspecting it, she questioned what it was. "Hey... Is that a basement door?"
S-Moon moved the table aside casually. "Oh, then the bad guys are probably down there." She says as she casually rips open the metal basement door.
S-Mars turned to Mercury. "Sailor Mercury, I suggest you stay a bit further back when we go down there, it may help you analyse the situation without being hurt." S-Mercury nodded in response.
Meanwhile
"S-stop!" One monster pleaded before it exploded.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Another screamed before being punched to death.
A few Negamonsters summoned by Jedite were attempting to flee/attack the huge beetle monster wrapped with chains to keep it down. However, it was able to kill each of them very easily. As their green blood and dusts remained on the floor, Jedite walked in.
"Carnage Kabuto... Are you well? It appears you've killed a few of my Negamonsters. Satisfied?" Jedite asked with a strain in his voice. He did not like how the monsters were easily killed. Queen Beryl would definitely be pissed...
Carnage Kabuto turned around. "Huh? Fool! Why would I be satisfied? I've been kept locked up deep beneath the Earth. Me! The strongest warrior in the entire House of Evolution, and now YOU! Some weakling is taking over!" He yelled out.
"This book says you are mentally unstable. Dr. Genus and his clones couldn't control you. There was no choice... 'I doubt I can either...' He thought bitterly.
"Control? You moron! I am the culmination of the "New Human", Jedite! My intelligence and physical strength and your own are incomparable! You should be the ones obeying me, you blond pissant!"
Jedite scowled. 'Tsk... you lack humanity just like us... But you can't be controlled. You're a failure, despite being able to perform at unheard levels.'
"Fine, but I have a favour to ask you first." He says as a screen pops up.
"Oh?"
"There's someone that must be eliminated. She is extremely strong. Only you can defeat her. I want you to do it for me... Dead or alive..."
"This basement is huge! I'm feeling pumped up!" S-Moon said excitedly.
S-Mercury was analysing the area around her when she noticed something dangerous, "Huh? Sailor Moon! I detect living beings deeper in... wait, two of them are approaching fast!"
"What!?" S-Mars said in shock. Up ahead, loud crashes and booms could be heard.
"Oh, here we go! There are three of them. Which one is it? Carnage Kabuto says as he grabs onto Jedite and drags him across the wall.
"Ack... The one with blond hair!" He managed to speak out.
"In that case, you don't need the others!"
Carnage Kabuto was about to slap S-Mars and S-Mercury onto the wall before they were quickly carried and brought to safety, a small stream of water could be seen briefly...
"Not on my watch!" The mysterious figure, who was Tuxedo Mask, said with pride... How did he even get here anyway...?
"You!" S-Mercury said in shock.
"Why are you here!?" S-Mars demanded to the caped gentlemen.
Carnage Kabuto growled at their conversations. "I don't have time for you weaklings!"
He smashes the wall instead, separating S-Moon from the rest of the group. "Huh...?"
"I am Carnage Kabuto! We got a combat experimentation room. Let's do this in there."
S-Moon's face turned serious. "You almost turned those two into Picasso art! Fight on!"
"Pretty big, huh?! It's the largest room in this facility. This is where we fight to test our combat abilities. Which means there's plenty of room here to beat you up!" Kabuto boasted as he grinned widely. "Well then, let the battles begin-"
Burst of fire and bubbles came from the entrance, bubbles to mist the area and potentially blind Kabuto and fire to do damage, which did little to none.
"Hmph, you two again..." He said disappointingly.
S-Mars begins running up and attacking Kabuto in hopes of burning the monster down.
Meanwhile, S-Mercury was busy casting mist in the air and scanning for certain weak points to no avail.
"You fools!" He blocks all the attacks from S-Mars and easily swats them all away, including the mist in the air. He then swats both Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury to let them know their place, as their bodies skid next to S-Moon, who was standing from behind.
"He... got me. Let me take him..." S-Mars managed to groan out, her entire body in pain.
"Uhh, you probably shouldn't move for a bit..." S-Moon muttered to the two.
"He's... too strong...!" S-Mercury said in pain. All Luna could do was watch in worry.
S-Mars manages to fire one more attack in an attempt to hurt Kabuto but he blows it back at her. "No way! With only his breath?"
The fire somewhat burns both Mercury and Mars but Sailor Moon gets off fine, with no burning hair this time.
"Mars... you alright?"
"Y-yeah... I'll be fine..."
"Mercury...?"
She was only able to respond with a thumbs up.
S-Moon sighed before she turned serious. "You've gotten my hopes up, I'll admit that."
Meanwhile, an injured Jedite is slowly walking towards the entrance of the combat room. He was fighting Tuxedo Mask but because he was beaten up by Kabuto, he was at a disadvantage. He managed to escape though, because plot.
'This physical pain is nothing... Once those Sailor Scouts are eliminated, then Queen Beryl can finally take over the universe! Despite the loss of our monsters... Carnage Kabuto seems to be able to do actual work compared to every other minion... Heh... Queen Beryl should understand... Right?'
"What's the hold-up? Come at me already." Kabuto beckoned.
'Carnage Kabuto... a demon incarnate, the strongest and most brutal creation of the House of Evolution. Let's see how Sailor Moon, at her archaic stage of human development, fare against a monster that is the final form of artificial evolution from that foolish doctor. I can't wait to find out!'
S-Moon walks up to Kabuto with a serious face as he grinned. "Oh! I see it! I see it! You're supposed to be strong!"
"Don't disappoint me now. You're supposed to be the ultimate weapon in this place, right? Clearly you're not the same as those guys this morning. Look at you, just oozing with confidence."
Kabuto rushed forward running in high speed. He stops behind S-Moon and reared back a punch...
"!?"
Kabuto felt something dangerous and flew away, reaching the combat walls.
"Huh? What are you doing? Hey!" S-Moon questioned, confused.
Jedite looked in shock. "What!? Carnage Kabuto backing away? There wasn't anything written about that in the book!"
'If I'd attacked her just now, she'd have killed me. Who the hell is this woman?... She's leaving herself wide open, yet all my instincts are screaming, sending out danger signals!' Kabuto sweatdropped nervously.
"Eh...?"
"BASTARD! WHAT ARE YOU, SOME KIND OF FREAK?! HOW IN THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT STRONG?!" He yelled.
"So you wanna know too? Okay, fine then. Mars, Mercury, you listen carefully too."
S-Mars gasped. 'Wait. You mean she's going to tell us right now? The secret to her amazing power?!'
Jedite walked into the combat room. "I'd like to know as well."
"Eh? Who are you?"
"Jedite."
"Well, whatever. LISTEN UP!"
Sailor Mercury had a worried look on her face. 'No! It's too risky! She can't let these guys know her secret!'
Luna sighed internally. 'They're going to be so disappointed...'
"First, what's important is to make sure you really stick to this intense training regimen."
Jedite looked confused. 'What? Not from her Sailor Powers? Just...training?'
'What training?' Kabuto thought.
"Listen, both of you. You have to keep doing it, no matter how difficult it gets. It took me a full three years to get this strong..."
"100 push-ups! 100 sit-ups! And 100 squats! Then a 10-kilometer run! EVERY SINGLE DAY!" She said with a full serious face, everyone in the room just confused and trying to process what she said.
"And of course, make sure you eat three meals daily. Just a banana and bread in the morning is fine. But never ever use the fan in the Summer, or mini heater in the Winter, so you can strengthen the mind!"
(Save money so mom doesn't complain about electricity bills)
"In the beginning, you'll wish you were dead. You might start thinking 'What's the harm of taking a day off?' But for me, in order to be a strong champion of justice, even when I was spitting blood, I never stopped! I toughed it out and endured the pain."
"I did squats, even when my legs felt like they couldn't move! Even when my arms starting making weird clicking noises, I kept doing push-ups! I remember that pain... A year and a half later, I started to notice a difference... I was balding! Really bad!"
"But luckily, I recovered, And I had become stronger! In other words, you gotta train to the point where your hair almost falls out. That's the only way to become truly strong!"
"Guys fooling around with the lives of humans. They're never gonna make it this far. Human beings are strong cause we can change ourselves! Not with whatever human energy you steal!"
'W-What did she say?' Jedite thought in disbelief.
Kabuto stared with an unreadable expression. 'Is this lady...for real?'
S-Mars looked down in anger, grumbling. "Master... You are so...FULL OF CRAP!" She yelled out.
"Eh?"
"Sailor Moon... That is nothing more than standard strength training. And it is not even that intense. It is just a normal level... S-Mercury analyses in a dumbfounded somewhat angry expression.
"I...I have to get stronger! Understand me?! I cannot believe you would do this! I DID NOT ASK TO STUDY UNDER YOU TO HEAR JOKES! Master, please! Your power is more than one could achieve by just training!"
'Yes. That's right! I need to know your-' Jedite thought before S-Mars continued ranting.
"YOUR TRUE SECRET! PLEASE, REVEAL IT!"
S-Moon stared awkwardly at her. "Look, Mars, Mercury. You may not believe me, but that's really all I did. Ask Luna, she was with me the entire three years I trained."
Kabuto scowled, before turning angry. "Oh yeah? If you don't wanna tell us your secret, so be it!"
Jedite looked in shock. "What!? No! He's going on a rampage! Now he'll be truly uncontrollable!"
"But since you seriously pissed me off, I'm gonna annihilate you! CARNAGE MODE!"
Carnage Kabuto's body grows in size and changes colour, the entire room turns red as alarms are heard all over.
"When I get like this, I lose control for a whole week, and my lust for death cannot be quelled! After I kill you, I'll head into town! Once I'm there, I'll go on a bloody killing rampage until next Saturday! If you really are a "champion of justice", THEN TRY AND STOP ME!" He boasted as he punched S-Moon hard, her body flying around the room as S-Mars and S-Mercury watch in horror.
'No way! It can't be! I may have made a horrible mistake!' S-Moon thought in horror.
"Master...?!"
"It can't be... Is he too strong for her...?" S-Mercury muttered.
'This guy's in Carnage Mode, and he said he'll be on a rampage for a whole week?' She thought while being punched around.
"Death, death, death, death, death, death, Death, death, death, death, death!"
'So he'd be like this through next Saturday. One whole week from today. Next Saturday... In other words, he's saying today is Saturday too. That means...'
Jedite smirked. "It's finally over... No Sailor Scout could stand up to any of Dr. Genus' creations, and now I'll be able to fulfil Queen Beryl's command..."
'That means...today is... THE ONLY DAY I COULD PLAY AT CROWN GAME ARCADE FOR FREE!" S-Moon screams out as she punches Kabuto, killing him instantly
Jedite's eyes widen, jaw stuck open. 'W-who the hell is this woman!?'
Sailor Moon went on her knees and continued whaling. "I SCREWED UP!"
"What is she–"
Sailor Mars walked up to Jedite with a paper. "I'm pretty sure she's upset about this."
SATURDAY ONLY! PLAY GAMES FOR FREE!
"Master, the arcade closes at 10 PM. That is about four hours from now. If we really hurry, we can make it."
S-Moon snapped her head to S-Mars. "I'll make it if I hurry?"
"Yes!"
"Let's go, you guys! I'll get the shopping cart!" S-Moon started running towards the combat walls as the group followed.
"Yes, master!"
"W-Wait up!" S-Mercury said hurridly.
Jedite looked in horror at the situation. "No! It's impossible! I failed to eliminate the Sailor Scouts!"
S-Moon punched through the wall in the combat room where the forest and sunset could be seen.
"I need to report this to Queen Ber-" A rose suddenly grazes his hands and bleeds him.
"Gah!? Who- You again!?"
"I'm not letting you go for the last time! Tuxedo Mask declares as he grabs his cane and swings at him which Jedite dodges.
"I don't have time for someone like you!" He spat out as he teleported back to the Negaverse.
Jedite frantically teleported back to the Negaverse, having wiped the blood off his face with his clothes, the other monsters wondering what was happening.
"Queen Beryl, I have important information for you!"
She looked at him with a disappointed look. "You have failed to defeat the Sailor Scouts, Jedite. Even with all the reinforcements you carried out!" Her voice boomed out, the other monsters hearing her. She was definitely pissed that 200 of her monsters died.
"But Queen Beryl! The Sailor Scouts are no joke! They're too strong!"
"SILENCE! I WILL HEAR NO EXCUSES! SLEEP, FOREVER!"
"Q-Queen Beryl, Wait! Gah!"
Unfortunately, Jedite's warning of the Sailor Scouts being too strong was dismissed... Dooming them all in the future... And now he was punished to eternal sleep.
The negamonsters whispered to each other, shocked at Jedite's fate. "He's gone! No way! Scary..."
"Let Jedite's fate be a warning to all of you. You, Neflite, are my new commander." Neflite teleported in shortly after.
"Jedite was a fool. You can depend on me, my Queen." He bowed.
Unknown Location
"Hmm, interesting..." A woman with long red hair and wore a v-neck dress spoke to herself. A computer screen shows the security footage of the combat room and everything that happened in it. "Doctor, you should look at this."
A doctor walks up to her, his face hidden from the convenient shadow. "Hm? Is this...?"
"Indeed! The combat room from Dr. Genus' lab."
"I see... It seems that there is someone stronger than Carnage Kabuto after all..." He muttered to himself.
"Isn't this bad doctor? I mean... What happens if those people catch us...?"
The doctor put his hand to his chin for a bit. "Hm, don't worry about that, Kaorinite... For now, we should focus on finding the Holy Grail in the dark... Don't cause too much attention..."
Kaorinite sighed. "I hope you're right... Dr. Tomoe..."

FILLER CHAPTER: no story plot, but character building i guess
The only filler in this entire fanfic, I think.
Chapter Text
Crown Game Arcade
After reaching the destination, Serena went straight to playing her favourite arcade game: 'Sailor V.' The two just watched as she continued trying to beat her high score while Luna just walked out for a bit. Despite the two being struck hard by that Kabuto monster, they didn't feel anything broken, so perhaps sitting for a bit can help soothe the pain.
Eventually, Raye realises that she needs to go back to her temple to help with the damages.
"Oh, well, see you then," Serena says as she keeps her focus on the screen.
She looked around before realising that Luna wasn't there either. "Hmm... Hey Amy, do you know where Luna went?"
"Well, she told you she was going to walk outside for a bit, but you were too focused on that Sailor V game. She told you that a while ago, though."
Serena sighed, realising that a lot of time had passed now. "Oh, well, we should probably look for her then, it is getting dark now..."
Luna was wandering around town, not paying attention to her surroundings as she sighed.
"The search for the moon princess isn't going well..." She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard a honk from truck-kun up ahead, now realising she was standing in the middle of the road.
"Hm? MEOOOOOW!!!!" She screamed in response.
But before she could've gotten Isekai'd...
She was saved by Darien.
"You've gotta be more careful, kitty. Could've been hurt right there." He smiled, as Luna looked at him in shock. "Meow?" It was then that Amy and Serena got outside and saw the two.
"Eh? Oh, there you are, Luna. Why were you with Dylan?" She wondered as she beckoned Luna to her arms.
Darien scowled and stood up. "It's. Darien. Meatball-head. How could you keep forgetting?" He grunted.
"Also, I just so happened to stop her from getting squished. If it weren't for me, she'd be a kitty pancake right now!"
Serena nodded indifferently. "Cool, thanks, Damien." She said, forgetting his name unintentionally.
Serena and Amy go back home, while Darien just stares at the back of Serena's head walking away. He was deep in thought, grumbling when another person exited the arcade.
"Hey, Darien!" Andrew waved.
"..."
"Darien...?"
Cherry Hill
After Raye arrived, Grandpa Hino was there waiting for her, a bit concerned about the damage, especially at the shrine. "Ah Raye, you're here. I'm glad you're safe. BUT, I need some explanations here."
Raye sighed before explaining. "Yes, Grandpa... You see... Well... Monsters started attacking here and my master, her friend, and I helped defeat them-"
"What!? You let your friends help you defeat those monsters? That was very careless of you! I know you're somehow capable of defending yourself, but what about everybody else with little to no fighting skills?" He scolded with a disappointed look.
Raye shook her head. You do not understand, Grandpa! My master is an amazing individual, she is powerful enough to defend herself, and I'm studying under her to become stronger to face any threats."
Grandpa Hino widens his eyes. "Master...? So you're her disciple...? "
"Yes, Grandpa..." She murmured.
After a short silence, he nodded. "Hmm... I see... Well... as long you and your friends are safe, you can continue what you're doing, just make sure you don't overlook your studies and job as a priestess."
"I understand..."
Next day - Fairview Park
After what they went through the day before, Serena decided to bring the two to a certain park Serena knows.
"This park is pretty great, huh? This is where I would go to train sometimes." She smiled.
Raye took out her notebook and began writing. Perhaps the locations Master Serena went to are what helped gained her strength.
"I could just take a boat out on a lake and read a really good book..." Amy said amusingly.
While they walk around the park, Amy runs into Mr Baxter, who she's friends with and has worked at the park ever since she was little. Unfortunately, the grim look on his face made her worry, so he explained it to the three.
"Seriously...?" Serena said in disbelief.
"The nerve of them to change this park into an office building," Raye said in anger. There had to be a way to reserve this place, for her master's sake.
Meanwhile, in Neflite's hideout, he checks the movement of the stars for the next person whose energy will reach its peak, who turns out to be Mr. Baxter. He smirked, realising this would be an easy mission for energy stealing.
The group was once again at their hangout spot, Crown Game Arcade or their communication base, minding their own business. Serena was trying to beat her high score once again as Amy watched from behind. Meanwhile, Raye talks to Andrew, seeing as she is friends with her Master, he should be fine to talk to.
"So how did you come to be friends with Serena?" Andrew wondered.
Raye smiled. "She saved me from the brink of death, and now I am forever grateful. As her disciple, I must make sure to fulfil her duties."
Andrew sweatdrops, wondering if it was true or not. He brushed it off for now, thinking it was too weird for such a scenario. "So you must be Raye, right? Serena says you're great as a Shinto priestess."
Raye beamed, taking in her Master's praise for her work. "Indeed, my Grandpa has taught me a lot. It's a great way to help bring benefits and support in all kinds of aspects of life."
He nodded at that. "Yeah, Darien's said something similar like that too. He always asks me to join his martial arts club near his school. I would join if it wasn't so high up in the mountains, with the only way of accessing it was taking the stairs."
Raye's eyes narrowed. "Darien? I see... 'The boy that my Master has mentioned before...It seems I need to investigate what he does in his spare time... and why he has the nerve to be associated with MY Master!' She scowls as she looks back to her Master's head.
"No way! I dodged that one!" Serena complained.
Meanwhile, Mr Baxter was just watching from afar, seeing the construction crew slowly destroying the park with their machinery, not being able to do anything, getting frustrated but miserable too.
Neflite appears as his civilian disguise; Maxfield Stanton, and charges Mr Baxter with dark energy. There, he begins to control the butterflies to attack the bulldozers, causing a bit of chaos and confusion. Neflite walked away and smirked, thinking he finally got the upper hand.
Next Day - Crossroads City
Raye is stalking Darien from around the corner of a building, slowly walking to where she is. There she summarises the plan she had thought of the day before.
'When Darien is nearby, I'm going to follow him... Make sure he's not a threat to MY Master!' She scowled.
Meanwhile, Darien was just exhausted. "Man... Just got back from Bang's martial arts and my body still feels stiff... ow... I'm supposed to be meeting somebody but... nah... that can wait... ow..." He grunted, walking past Raye who was hiding behind a light pole.
'Good! He's distracted, better follow him...' While Raye stalks Darien's movements, Serena and Luna witness the whole event from a street away.
"What's she up to...?" Serena questioned.
"I'm not sure... I don't sense anything wrong with Darien at all... Unless you're jealous?" Luna grinned.
"Nah... I'm more concerned Raye might do something dumb. Let's follow them, Luna, she needs watching!"
Luna watches Serena run towards them while she just sighs in defeat. "Ugh... This assignment gets tougher every day!"
"Just where is he going...?" Raye muttered to herself as she followed him from behind, leading her towards the park again.
Meanwhile, Darien felt the back of his hair go up. 'Why do I get a feeling I'm being watched somehow...? Eh, whatever... maybe I should go visit Fairview Park, it's been a while since I've been there.' He shrugged off the ominous feeling for now. Serena follows from a further distance away. Following the two. She was so focused, she didn't notice Luna not follow her.
Amy is walking through the park with a sad look on her face, Luna spotted her and wondered what was wrong, and she explained that Mr. Baxter had been acting off recently, and she thought it was because of what was happening to the park. They both suddenly hear a scream and investigate. There they witness a group of squirrels attacking one of the people who refused to cancel the project.
"I've never seen squirrels act like that... Better get the scouts to look into this!" Luna said.
Amy nodded. "Right! I just hope I'll find them in time!"
"Maybe I should rent a rowboat too..." Darien muttered as he walked near the dock.
"You have some questions to answer, Darien." A voice interuppted him from behind.
"Huh?" He turns around in surprise to see an angry Raye, one hand with a closed fist while the other holding onto her paper charm.
"Raye? What are you doing here?"
"It is none of your concern. Answer my questions or face the consequences." She says, putting her hands up, positioned like she's ready to blast Darien, even though she isn't in her Sailor Uniform, so it confuses him.
"I... uhh... can we talk about this... while riding the rowboat...?" He says nervously, trying to defuse the situation he was in while using his slick charms.
Raye narrowed her eyes. "It is fine with me, that way you can't escape me."
Darien sweatdrops, regretting what he said earlier. 'What did I get myself into...'
Darien and Raye were sitting on the rowboat, both sitting away from each other, though Raye continued glaring at him.
"What is your relationship with Master Serena?"
Darien was startled. "Wh- Master...? Serena...? That meatball-head?" He questioned in disbelief, angering Raye.
"How dare you disrespect my master! You shall say her name with respect!"
Darien put his hands up in defence. "S-sorry! 'I didn't think she would be serious...' So... you're Serena's disciple then...? What would she even teach you? Get lower grades?" He questioned.
Raye's eyes narrowed. "My master is an amazing individual! What she teaches me doesn't concern you. Why do you know her? And why does she know you?"
Darien avoided her gaze and looked out at the lake, "Well besides uhh... annoying her, or, trying to annoy her. I do sense something odd about her..."
"And what is that?"
"I dunno... It's just a weird feeling I get when seeing her or when I'm near her... Not sure why..." He shrugged.
Raye nodded as she thought to herself. 'Does Darien realise that Master Serena is a Sailor Scout?... Impossible... It disguises our civilian identity...'
"W-well... Anyway, let's not talk about Serena anymore. So uh, the lake's beautiful huh?" Darien said, trying to change the topic.
Raye huffs but answers anyway. "Seeing as you and Master Serena like the park, I'll just say that they will cover it all in concrete. They're gonna replace it with an office building."
"That's terrible... Well, I heard the rose gardens are amazing, so I'd like to see them before it's destroyed..."
Raye raised her eyebrows. 'Roses...?'
Serena was in Fairview Park but couldn't find Raye or anyone. "Can't believe I got lost trying to find those two... Oh well, hope Raye didn't kill him or something..." She muttered to herself.
"Serena!"
She turned around to see Amy and Luna together. "Huh? Oh, Amy. There you are, got lost stalking Raye following Darien."
Amy was dumbfounded. "...What? Anyways... Did you see anything weird? Animals acting strange?"
"You mean besides Raye?" She snorted.
"What are you guys doing?" A voice spoke up from a distance as they both turned towards it.
They saw Mr. Baxter who was acting weirder and weirder, yelling out something about abusing nature or something, Serena didn't pay attention. Anyway, Mr. Baxter's energy reaches its peak and a Negamonster named Petasos appears from him, draining his energy. She was a monster that has pale purple skin, longe vines for hair, and semi normal clothing, but of course, a non-threat to Serena.
At the same time, Darien suddenly felt a headache, as Raye witnessed in concern, asking if he was feeling well. At the same time, a flock of birds started flying towards them, which Raye noticed.
"The birds! They're gonna-"
"Watch out!" Darien shields Raye from the birds but ends up toppling the boat and both fall into the lake.
Turns out you should never underestimate your foe, as Petasos was able to throw bombs that xploded into vines that would wrap around the enemy, those being S-Moon and S-Mercury. The monster controlled the squirells and butterflies to attack them, but a simple death aura from S-Moon scared them away like rats.
S-Mercury was trapped but S-Moon? Of course not, she could just rip them out and punch the stupid monster right now. But she didn't, because S-Mercury and S-Mars insisted earlier in the week that they wanted to try and deal with a monster without her aid, can't have them rely on S-Moon all the time, right? Luna was too dizzy from the sudden squirell attacks though.
Meanwhile, Raye and Darien crawl out of the water after the boat sank.
"Are you alright...?" Darien asked.
"Ugh... Yes, what happened?" Raye asked cautiously.
"It's like nature's gone wacko..."
"Indeed... Something's wrong, I can feel it..."
"Look over there!" He pointed at the weird aura in the air up ahead.
Raye gasped, "Huh!? Something's definitely wrong. Apologies Darien, I need to go, there's something I need to do."
As S-Mercury struggled to get out, S-Moon noticed a fireball coming down towards them.
"Mars Fire Ignite!"
The fire was aimed at the vines which freed the Scouts. S-Mercury screamed in pain but was glad she was released while S-Moon tried getting the fire out of her clothes. It was then S-Mars arrived.
"Are you two alright?" She said, jumping down to meet them.
"Well... You almost burnt my hair again..." S-Moon grumbled.
Mars clasped her hands together and bowed deeply. "Apologies master! But for now, Sailor Mercury! Let's deal with this monster." She nodded in response.
"We are Sailor Scouts, the champion of justice!" S-Mercury started.
"We will right wrong to triumph over evil like you!" S-Mars continued.
"On behalf of Mars!"
"And Mercury!"
"We will punish you!"
S-Moon stared at the two in disbelief. "Did they choreograph that or what...?"
Luna, who has somewhat recovered, having witnessed it, has no words to say either.
Tuxedo Mask was just watching from a distance on a tree branch, holding a rose. He WOULD have given some motivational speech to S-Moon but overheard what they said.
They both beat the monster and the only remains are her ashes.
"Ugh... What happened? What am I doing here?" Mr. Baxter groaned.
Amy smiled in reassurance. "Oh, nothing! You just had a little too much sun today I think!"
Darien mumbled to himself as he walked through the park, complaining about his wet clothes. He ends up bumping into the group.
"Darien, are you still unwell? Perhaps I need to bring you to my shrine." Raye stated.
"No... It's okay, but I thought you had to leave."
Raye shook her head. "It's fine now."
Serena turned to look at him. "Oh, it's you. Why's your shirt wet? Lovers quarrel?" She joked, pretending to not know that Raye was with Darien.
"Hmph, as if, mea- I mean, Serena."
"Oh? Not calling me by meatball-head anymore? Why the change? Darien?"
Darien smiled internally. 'Hey! She remembers my name!' W-well..." He nervously glanced at Raye who gave him a stern glare.
"Just... an epiphany..." He sighed.
Serena thought for a bit but shrugged. "Hmm... 'Kay! See you around!" Serena casually walks away from the scene with a smile on her face.
"Huh?" Darien said in shock, not expecting that from her, as they usually both argue when run into each other.
Raye stares at her master walking away in disbelief before catching up to her. 'Master!?'
Ironically, the park was saved from destruction thanks to the workers complaining about the animals bothering them and destroying equipment. Thanks Neflite!
Chapter Text
Serena's Bedroom
'It's been a few days since a monster popped up when we visited that park, and there haven't been any serious incidents since that day so far... However, in the midst of this, Raye visited my house without any warning...'
Serena was just casually reading a comic book instead of doing homework while Raye was writing something.
"So... What'chu writing there?" Serena asked.
"I'm recording the details of your lessons and training regimen," Raye replied.
Serena pinched the nose of her bridge as she sighed in irritation. 'Drats! She's raising the bar again! I can't think of a single thing I could teach her... I feel bad...'
Luna watches the two in amusement.
"By the way... I looked at your desk and saw a lot of unfinished homework, are you sure you're able to finish them all by tomorrow?"
Serena's eyes widened as she looked at her. "WHAT? I HAD HOMEWORK? SINCE WHEN?"
"Oh, Serena... you dolt," Luna grumbled to herself.
Raye had an understanding and analytic look. "I see... Because of our heroic duties as a Sailor Scout, we always have to be aware of the dangers that lurk in our city. We are destined to use our powers to vanquish the forces of evil, and thus have no time to do any other trivial things."
She slammed her comic book down, shaking the floor a bit. "THIS IS NO TIME TO BE READING COMIC BOOKS! Raye, I agree that I don't wanna be doing school work, but if I don't, consequences will happen! So let's get this over and done with." She says as she cracks her knuckles.
"What's this? Serena willing to do homework? Has the world finally ended?" Luna cackled.
"Quiet! Cat!"
"Master, I shall do the maths homework for you. I can see here that all your answers are wrong and will need to be corrected." She says bluntly.
She brushed her off. "Cool, thanks... 'They were all wrong...?' She thought in horror. "Wait, Raye. You don't even go to my school, you sure you can solve some of these?"
Raye smiled in determination. "Of course, Master!"
"Hehe, right then! In exchange for helping me with my homework, I'll uh... tell you something really important, pay attention."
Her face suddenly turns serious, perfect jawline appearing, shadows over her eyes. Gendo pose.
"!?"
"From the very beginning, my intense desire to be a champion of justice was what led me down the path of strength training. That's how I made it this far. For you, perhaps there are different ways to be a strong Sailor Scout. Perhaps a change in mindset may lead you to greater strength..."
'Drats! Listen to me... I'm just making all this stuff up...'
She glances at a certain book lying on the ground that she bought just for this moment; 'How to Build Mental Toughness: 10 Tips for mental strength, by Sailor V'.
"So in other words... It's not about having raw power or technique. It's about training your mind."
'The first step says something about motivation... but she already has her eyes set on that demon monster thingy... drats! What was the second step again?... Oh, yeah!'
"Your first step; adaptability and versatility. To be able to adapt to unexpected changes with uh... flexibility in your thinking and more creativity in your solutions... Makes you better at handling new situations and environments, and stuff like that..." She muttered near the end, wondering if Raye would realise what she was doing.
Raye gasped as she looked at her master in determination. "I... I UNDERSTAND! I WILL TRY! THANK YOU MASTER!"
Serena smiled. 'She bought it! Sweetness!'
After Serena reluctantly completed her homework, (Or more like subtly making Raye complete most of them), Raye eventually had to go home.
"Thank you for your teachings, Master, you really know how to be a great teacher!" Raye beamed.
Serena scratched the back of her head. "Oh uh... haha... You know me! Hahaha.... hah..." She looked away nervously.
"It's getting late, I'll be going now, goodnight, Master." She bowed before walking away.
"Yeah... Night Raye..."
'Drats... Maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to say I'd take a disciple... Especially her...'
Negaverse
"Neflite, any news to report on?" Queen Beryl questioned with authority.
Neflite appeared shortly after. "Very good news, my Queen."
Queen Beryl smirked. "I must commend your efforts. Humans are so vain..."
"Yes, I've discovered they expend an absurd amount of energy on diets and frenetic energy activity called "fitness"... This will be fun..."
Next Day - Crossroads High
Serena was hanging out with her friend group before class started.
"Your parents let you train?" Molly asked.
"Yup."
"My mom says girls our age should never diet or train!" One of her friends spoke.
"She can't be serious!" Another stated.
"Speaking of diets... You should talk to Miss Haruna. She's been on a fitness kick recently!" Molly said to the group.
"She has...?" Serena questioned. It was then that Miss Haruna arrived, a cheery look on her face.
"How are you, girls? I hope you're ready for today's test!" She smiled enthusiastically.
Serena narrowed her eyes in suspicion. 'Guess she does seem a bit cheery today, maybe it's her coffee?' She thought blankly.
Gym Hall
Everyone in Serena's class was changed into a gym uniform, the same for Miss Haruna.
"Alright class, this is your sports assessment, and I'm marking them, so do your best!"
"Okay... In a random selection... Serena! Step up here."
Serena looked at her blankly. "Huh...? What do I do...?"
"We've discussed this in class, did you... You know what... I'll just tell you..." She sighed.
The students whisper among themselves. "Did you hear that? Yeah! She's getting an F for sure. She sucks at sports!"
Molly had a sad look on her face. 'Oh, Serena... Why do you always fail hard at these sports assessments...? It's like you don't even try at all...'
She deeply inhaled before she shouted. "SERENA!"
As Serena walked up to the teacher, she looked back in confusion. "Eh...?"
"YOU CAN DO IT! GO ALL OUT! DON'T LISTEN TO THESE BOGUS PEOPLE!"
"I'm not bogus! Y-you can do it, Serena!" Melvin stammered.
"Weren't you whispering with the others?" One of Serena's friends questioned with a glare.
Miss Haruna sweatdrops before focusing on Serena. "Well you've heard them, come on... you failed the previous assessment last year and the year before that too... So why not give it your all this time?"
"Well... If you say so."
Miss Haruna smiled. "Good, now. Side-to-side jumps for 30 seconds! Ready?! GO!"
Serena goes full serious and hops left and right, turning into a blur, shocking everyone in her class, including the teacher. However, she didn't have time to think about that, test first, questions later.
"Next, the 1500-meter run! GO!"
Serena takes off and one second later, already reached the finish line.
'Woah! She's really good! Did she hold back this entire time!?' Molly thought in awe.
"Next! Weightlifting!"
Serena is then shown lifting a heavy barbell with only one hand.
"Next! Shot put!"
The ball goes through the gym roof, creating a hole where the sun's rays pierce through.
"Vertical jumping!"
Serena jumps to the ceiling, now stuck there, while students watch in shock. The teacher just continues marking normally.
"Whack-a-mole!"
Serena destroys the moles the moment they come up. Going over the score limit and breaking the machine. The students could only question themselves on why the school had a machine like that, and how it's even related to sports.
"Punching bag!"
Serena's fists were smoking while the punching bag was pushed back onto the wall with cracks showing."
"I don't have to pay for damages, right?" Serena asked.
The students were left jaw dropped. "I'm leaving..."
Lunch
Rumours spread among the students that Serena demolished the gym hall. Serena didn't pay any attention to it, of course.
"Wow, Serena, it seems you're really popular now! Haven't you noticed?" Molly asked her friend, who was mowing down on her lunch.
"Eh? Nof reahly."
"It's as if God herself resides in your body..." One friend spoke.
"I wish I could do that..." Another replied.
Serena swallowed her lunch before answering, "C'mon guys... It wasn't anything special... Anyone could do that."
"No way! Destroying parts of the gym is impossible!" Molly said in surprise.
"Unless we go to the gym, of course!" Friend #1 said.
"Yeah! I heard there's a new gym in town, and Miss Haruna visits that one!"
Molly tilted her head. "Really?"
Melvin suddenly appeared, jumping into the conversation. "She's right! I even have pictures of her! She dropped them from her purse! Teachers aren't supposed to look that good!"
"No way!" Molly stared as well as Serena with narrowed eyes.
"Where did you get these...? She wasn't carrying a purse today..."
Melvin squirmed before he bailed on the group. "Ahhh! Run away!"
"Come back here!" Molly said, chasing after him.
Melvin hid behind a corner of a building, making Molly lose sight of him. "Phew! That was close..." He turned around to see Serena next to him.
"You still haven't answered my question."
He screamed like a girl before she shut him up, putting her hand over his mouth before letting go. "I admit it! I borrowed the photo club's camera and took the pictures!"
"What are you talking about? I wanna know where Miss Haruna works out."
"...Huh?"
Shape Salon
They find the place and all of Serena's friends are there using the workout machinery, while exercise trainers encourage them to keep going. Serena tried one and broke it.
"Haha... This machine was faulty...?" She sweatdrops. It was then that another fitness instructor came in, looked normal, especially with that non-suspicious long red hair.
"You guys are pretty good! Have you been here before?"
Molly blushed and looked away. "Oh, um... No... It's our first time..."
"It's fine, you're all doing great! You'll be in shape in no time!" He encouraged.
"Great! Your workout's over. Your reward after each workout is access to the 'beauty spa'! Follow me."
"Okay! Serena, are you coming with us?"
Serena brushed Molly off. "Nah... I think I'll just go home, you guys have fun."
They followed the instructor downstairs, which led to the 'beauty spa' area. It was pretty dark, and the only light was on the weird pod-looking things.
"What is this? This is really weird..." Friend #1 muttered shakily.
"Don't be scared. These are relaxation pods. You get in a pod and feel totally relaxed. You'll feel brand new!" A disguised Neflite said.
The two were hesitant but Molly decided to be bold and insisted they try it.
As they entered the 'relaxation pods', Neflite had a wide grin on his face. 'Hah! That's a good one. Queen Beryl will be pleased!'
Once they were done, they looked more exhausted than ever, their skin looking as pale as ever.
"I'm exhausted..." Molly groaned.
"Me too..." Friend #2 spoke.
"But you should see the glow you have!" Neflite said to the three, their faces lighting up.
"R-Really?"
"I'm sure. The pods work wonders!"
They all smiled before leaving while Neflite stayed back and watched.
'Wonders for the Negaverse. Humans are so easy to fool. I'll feed their energy to the Negaforce. Queen Beryl, soon your realm will include the Earth!'
Serena was on her way home when she ran into Andrew who was carrying something in his hand.
"Oh, hi Serena, I was looking for you."
"Hm? What for? What's in the box?"
"Oh you know... just some... DONUTS! You want some?"
Serena beamed in response. "PLEASE!"
He gave her the entire box as he walks off. There she rips and tears through all of it until Darien appeared.
"Ah, Serena! Maybe I should call you donut-head instead!..." Darien grinned to which she ignored him, continuously mowing down.
Darien sweatdropped. "Uhh... You're really chowing down..."
Serena stopped eating and looked up. "Hmfg? Ouh heghy Daghrien." Food particles end up flying out of her mouth.
Darien had a slightly disgusted look on his face. 'So unladylike... At least offer me one."
"Glafdly!" She tosses the last one to Darien at light speed but he manages to catch it thanks to his martial arts classes.
"Thanks donut-head! That throw was kind of weak. You should work out more." He walked off, eating the donut before glancing back nervously. 'It caught me off guard! How fast was that donut travelling anyway!?'
"I'll train hard!" She called out.
Luna jumped on her shoulder and sighed. "Oh, Serena... are you backing down on your training you've done over the three years already?"
Serena shook her head. "Nah, there's more to life than just training and one piece of bread and banana for breakfast. Let's go home."
"You sure you don't want to see the different-size barbells they have at the new gym?"
"Eh, already tried them, they're not as heavy as blackholes so they were pretty useless to me."
"As heavy as... This girl is going to be the end of me..."
Next Day
Serena's back at the gym, showing Luna that they were all super light, holding all the dumbells in both hands. She even lifted one of the machines to show that they were too light, surprising the other people.
Luna stared in disbelief when she suddenly noticed Miss Haruna walking from the hallway, tired and exhausted.
'Serena's teacher? She looks like she's in a trance, I'll check it out.' She follows Miss Haruna down the stairs towards the 'beauty spa'.
'I'm getting strange vibrations here. What is that...?'
She saw one of the gym trainers looking at Miss Haruna, who was resting in the 'relaxation pod'.
"Nice to see you back, Miss Haruna. I'm afraid your teaching days will be over soon." Neflite smirked to the tired teacher.
"!?" 'I need to warn Serena!'
Meanwhile, Serena wandered outside the hallway, wondering where Luna went when she suddenly got jumped.
"SERENA!" Luna hissed.
"Uhh Luna?"
"You're going to listen to me, understand? The Negaverse is behind this whole thing. There's an energy-sucking machine downstairs!"
"Isn't that the relaxation room...?"
"I'm telling you it's them! It's Sailor business!" She gritted.
"Right... Moon... Prism... Power..."
'This will definitely be her last treatment...' Neflite thought before hearing loud foot stomps coming down.
"Hey, you working for the Negaverse?" S-Moon asked blankly.
"Oh! There must be a mistake!"
"A mistake? Well yeah, messing with the gym was your biggest one." Her death aura flaring up, shaking Neflite to the core.
"W-Well boys looks like it's time for a workout! Get her!"
Some of the exercise trainers that were in the pod suddenly woke up and got out. There they increased in size.
"Have a good workout!" He said nervously, before disappearing into the Negaverse.
"Sailor Moon look out!" Luna yelled.
One of the brainwashed trainers landed a punch on her face but she was not affected in the slightest. In response, she neck-chopped all of them, knocking them out.
"Well that's over and done with..." She sighed boredly.
"Sailor Moon! Get your teacher out of there!"
"Yeah yeah... I know... Quit your whining..."
She got her out and eventually, the trainers woke up with a headache, no longer being brainwashed. The room also returned to normal after that.
"What happened? I feel woozy..."
"Neflite, you abandoned the plan sooner than anticipated. I'm disappointed, how were we discovered?" Q-Beryl asked.
"I'm not sure... but Sailor Moon is getting on my nerves!"
Serena's Home - Evening
Ikuko knocked on the bathroom door. "Serena? Are you almost finished? Your brother's been waiting for a while now."
"I'll be out in a minute..." She grumbled.
"Okay." She turned to see Sammy leaning against the wall next to the door with a grin on his face.
"I'm not really waiting around to take a bath." He said.
"Then why are you waiting?"
"Hehe, for something else!"
They both suddenly hear something break in the bathroom, As Ikuko frantically busts the door open. They all burst into the bathroom to see what happened...
"I think I broke the weight scale, I don't have to pay for another one right?" Sammy's prank was increasing the scale so when Serena checks her size, it would be super large... He didn't account for her ungodly strength which to be fair, she didn't tell her family about.
Intermission 1 - Just a Dream...

...
...
"Hey, Sailor Moon. It seems we're on one of Jupiter's moons. I thought you wanted to protect your precious Earth?" The mysterious figure spoke out.
"..."
"No idea how this happened, but I can easily get back while you st-"
"Shut up." She interrupted.
"!?"
"I'll deal with it once I beat the HELL out of you!"
S-Moon then holds out one fist, while the other hand is holding onto something personal to her. A golden crystal of some sort...
"Bring it on. One hand is all I need for you! I don't need that sword anyway!"
...
...
Serena...
Serena...!
SERENA!!!
She jolted up from the sound coming to her ear. She looked around her room, still too early. Confused, she looked at Luna, who was staring at her with a scowl. "Wha? Is it morning already?... Luna? Why did you wake me up?"
"You were tossing and turning around in your sleep, did something happen?"
"Huh?... Well, I had a dream where... where... I don't know... Can't remember... Probably beating some weak monster..."
"Well, how about you dream about something else for once? Seriously, th-
"Z...z...z..."
"...Whatever..." Luna slept shortly after that.
...
...
...
"W-where am I...? Master...? Sailor Mercury...? Luna...?"
S-Mars looks around at the destroyed buildings and realises...
"Wait... This... My hometown!... Why am I...?"
She sees something from far away, someone under rubble while their hand sticks out and runs towards it.
"Hey! Can you hear me? Speak to me! Are you..."
She pushes the rubble out of the unknown person's face, only to realise...
"No... No way... It can't be!... GRANDPA HINO!!!"
Tears flow out of her eyes while they're full of rage. She doesn't want to believe her Grandpa is dead.
"Grandpa! Wake up! Please!..."
*BOOM*
S-Mars looks around, wondering where the sound came from. "Huh?"
*BOOM*
She puts Grandpa Hino in a safe place and runs towards the sound.
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
She gets closer to the sound only to see... where her hatred came from.
"The... humanoid monster that destroyed my hometown... I'll never forget that face!" She glared harshly at the humanoid monster.
Her eyes were blurry from the tears, so she couldn't see a clear picture of it. However, from what she could vagugely tell, it was larger than she remembered, had some exposed bones with a skeletal silhouette, and elongated arms with clawed hands. Either way, she was going to burn it down, right here, right now.
"THIS IS FOR MY HOMETOWN AND GRANDPA HINO!" She yelled, her anger peaked to its maximum output and commanded an attack she never used before.
ጮልዪነ ቻረልጮቹ ነክጎየቹዪ!
The arrow almost struck what was assumed to be its 'heart', but hit the bones instead. The monster turned to look at the attacker, and stomped towards her.
"INCINERATE!" She yelled in desperate rage. She used more fire attacks, but it had no effect. The monster reached S-Mars and lifted its foot up above her. All she could watch was her impending doom.
"...This is how I die... I'm sorry everyone... Grandpa... Master"
Just as it was about to crush her...
Raye suddenly woke up from the nightmare and was gasping for breath. By then, Grandpa Hino had already arrived to her room after hearing muffled loud movements in his room.
"Raye!? What happened? Are you alright?" He asked in concern.
In response, Raye holds onto Grandpa Hino tightly, for the first time in years, she silently cries into his shoulder.
"T-the monster... The monster... Monster..." She muttered.
Grandpa Hino hugged her back in reassurance. "Raye... It's okay... Everything's okay... We'll find that monster one day..."
...
...
...
...
...
...
S-Mercury was standing on top of rubble, the area around her in shambles.
'Hm?... What the...'
Suddenly she saw multiple monsters below her, staring at her ominously.
"Hm? Hey... Hey... Hey... Hold on a sec. Isn't that Sailor Mercury!?" One small monster spoke.
"Tssk..."
"Tough luck..."
"Man, she pisses me off, she was just watching this whole time! Let's fight!"
"It's gonna be one hell of a satisfaction if I beat the strongest woman!" The other similar looking monster spoke as it multiplied itself.
"Wait, ፪ረልርኡ ነየቹዪጮ. Don't be too hasty, the one in front of you is one of the three most powerful beings... We have to focus on HER, one of our biggest hurdle. Let's do it together..." A figure spoke.
Just then, a constant beeping noise came from S-Mercury, loud enough for all to hear...
"She waiting for us to make the first move?"
"Just how does she fight?"
"No idea..." The figure spoke. "I only heard that she's 'scary strong'. Monsters facing her would often faint before she even laid a finger on them... Even we cannot..."
...
...
...
Amy wakes up from her alarm.
"What an odd dream, perhaps I've been studying too hard lately..."

Chapter Text
Crossroads High
"Sooooo we're supposed to be getting our marks today, right...?" Serena asked.
Melvin nodded enthusiastically. "Yup! And I bet you're going to be at the top of the class!"
"Oh yeah...?"
"We should get our results soon, 35 is a passing grade," Molly explained.
"While 50 is the maximum!" Melvin added.
Miss Haruna carries a stack of paper as she plumps it down on her desk. "Alright, everyone! I have your marks from last week's exam. Remember that the writing portion of the exam also affects your final marking, so don't say I didn't warn you, okay?"
The class got a little riled up, with Melvin being the most obvious.
"IT'S HERE! OUR MARKS ARE HERE!" Melvin yelled out.
"Quiet Melvin!!!" Molly hissed.
"Ooh lemme see!"
"No! Let me see!"
Every student began crowding around Miss Haruna while Serena and Molly stood near the back of the class.
"Wonder why everyone is acting like that?" Serena scratched her head.
"It's obvious that they want to see your marks, Serena!" Molly said.
"Really?... Ok then... Not that big of a deal..." She yawned.
"Hey! Get back to your seats! Keep doing that, and I'll lower all of your marks by five!" Haruna threatened as she kept the papers out of their reach.
Everyone instantly sat back down, grumbling as they fidgeted in their seats, waiting for their OWN results.
"Good, now, don't share it with others until after class, understand?" Haruna said the last word with a tone as she narrowed her eyes at the class.
"Yes, Miss Haruna..." The class said in unison.
"Oh, and Serena, stay back for a bit after class, okay?"
"...Sure." She sighed.
Lunch
"Can't believe I had to stay back, so people wouldn't bother me for my marks... Whatever, TIME TO EAT!" Serena grinned as she stuffed her face with her bento lunch.
"Well, I didn't really do that good myself!" Amy smiled awkwardly, having done perfect on the written test but not on the physical test.
It was then that Melvin and Molly arrived, who both tried finding her since lunch started.
"OH THERE YOU ARE SERENA! WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU!" Melvin yelled.
"Quiet Melvin or else everyone will hear us!" Molly hissed.
Serena sweatdrop in response. 'Drats! I just wanted peace and quiet...'
"So what did you get?" He asked curiously.
"Uh... I didn't check... Let me check my bag..."
Melvin facefaults in response. "Wha!?"
"You didn't? Why?" Amy wondered.
"Teach kept me back so long as soon as I got it I stuffed it in my back and left. Anyway, the results say I got-"
Melvin suddenly takes the paper from her.
"A 50/50! I am not surprised! On top of that, there are a lot of circles on the... on..." Melvin muttered near the end, dropping the paper in shock.
"Melvin...?" Molly asked in concern.
Serena takes the paper and sees the marks for herself. "!?"
"Hm? What did you..."
"What is it? What did you get Serena?"
"Oh... It's nothing... just a passing grade of 36/50..." She said with a strain in her voice, shocking the others.
"WHAAAAT!???" Molly yelled.
"How... it doesn't make sense..." Melvin said weakly.
"If I remember, my teacher said that the writing part of the exam also affects the final mark, so what did you get for that?"
"Uh... 16/30..."
"I see... So even though you did perfect on the exam... You failed the written portion abysmally..." He analysed, irritating her.
"Stop analysing it, jerk!"
"This must be a mistake... I shall blackmail Miss Haruna with the gym photos I took." He said with determination.
"What!?" Molly and Amy said at the same time.
"Uhh no? You'll just embarrass me! She'll kill you instead of taking blackmail idiot!"
*Lunch Bell*
Serena stood up with a small smile on her face. "C'mon guys, all that matters is that we all passed, yeah?"
The others thought about it, and soon accepted it.
"Finally... School's over..." Serena yawned.
"Yes... Can't believe we had to do an assembly on the grass area... They can be pretty boring even for me..." Amy commented.
They continued walking towards the front gate until they noticed someone...
"Master!"
"Wha... Oh no..." Serena grumbled.
"What's wrong?... Oh, isn't that Raye?"
"Yeah..."
When they reached the exit, people were giving Raye weird looks, but she didn't care about them.
"There you are, I wanted to discuss something with you after school, do you all mind going somewhere with me?" Raye asks the two.
"...Sure."
The three arrived at a deserted place with a mountainside. Serena carried them all there in the same shopping cart for convenience's sake.
"So that's why you brought us here, in the middle of nowhere..."
"Indeed, thank you for agreeing to my unreasonable request today."
"Yeah, well I did promise to make you my disciple... Is right here good?" Serena said as she walked away from Raye, standing a distant from her.
"Yes."
"So... Just sparring, right? Not fighting for real?"
"That is what I had in mind. I want you to go all out, I too will give it my all. Please grant my request."
"Mars Power!"
"Moon... Prism... Power"
S-Mars started with her basic 'Mars Fire Power', which S-Moon was able to dodge. She then continued using her moves on her. After dodging a few attacks, S-Moon floated down, her hair following the same properties. "That was close... my hair could have got burnt up again..." She muttered to herself.
Meanwhile, S-Mars sighed in frustration. "I need more power!"
She holds her paper charm between her fingers and concentrates. The fire engulfs the enchanted paper charm, thus showing off a new move to her master.
"Mars Firebird Strike!" The fire formed into a fire phoenix as it swopped down towards S-Moon, missing, of course.
Meanwhile, S-Mercury was watching from afar, analysing the fight in front of her. "Sailor Mars' energy readings are high... But she's slowly losing it with each attack... Is Sailor Moon purposely making her use all her moves so she is no longer able to fight? Besides that... Sailor Moon's energy readings... My mini computer is having trouble with it! Just how strong is she...?" She muttered to herself.
The smoke clears from Mars' attack, which reveals a burnt mountainside with no Moon in sight.
'She's gone? Have I been attacking an afterimage this whole time?' S-Mars looked in surprise.
She looks around her and sees Moon dusting herself off from mountain rubble. Using that distraction as an advantage, she uses one last powerful attack.
"Celestial Fire Surround!"
The attacks connected and now a large smoke appeared where S-Moon stood. 'I got her this time... Master will have to take me more seriously now...'
Suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and felt S-Moon poking her on the cheek with a grin on her face. 'What the!?-'
"It looks like I win!"
S-Mars scowled and attempted to put a paper charm on her. "PERISH!"
S-Moon jumps out of the way in time and lands not so graciously back on the ground behind her.
"Master..."
"Yeah?"
"Have you forgotten the rules of the spar? Dodge any attacks you are able to dodge. Take this seriously and no fooling around. Do not hold back. And... keep fighting until I am no longer able to fight..." She declared. 'Even Master Serena herself cannot explain... The secret to her power... This fight may give me some insight into it.' She glared at her Master, ready for anything. "Show me no mercy!"
With S-Mercury, her computer suddenly detected a huge spike in energy coming from S-Moon, her hands were shaking, wondering why it did that... What was she planning? And why is she getting worried? She feels like she should stop her... But...
"Those were the rules, Master-" S-Moon suddenly appeared in front of her face. She was not expecting that so she did a flimsy quick throw of paper charms (which never worked like a charm) and realised S-Moon was behind her with her fist reared back.
"N-No way..." She said as she looked back at her.
死
DEATH
S-Moon's punch stopped right in front of her face, and instead, gusts of wind appeared behind her, moving towards the mountain behind her. S-Moon taps her on her forehead and walks off. "I'm hungry, it's getting late, so... Let's grab some udon noodles. Heard there was a new restaurant in town. Let's go, you two!"
"Okay..." She muttered in defeat.
"R-Right!" S-Mercury said.
S-Mars stays behind for a bit and just thinks about what happened to her.
'I am prepared to do anything in order to become stronger. But... I can't picture myself even approaching Master's power.' She looked behind her to see a huge hole between the mountains. '...Not at all... She's on a different level...'
S-Moon who already transformed back realised S-Mars wasn't nearby so she looked back. "What's wrong? Don't like udon?"
"For a restaurant called Cat Cafe... There seems to be a lack of cats... Anyway... I'm glad you like udon." Serena said as they sat down.
"Yes. I'm not very picky with my food." Raye stated.
"These taste good!" Amy said happily.
"Well, I did save up my allowances for this." She smiled but was depressed on the inside now that she was broke. "Hey, want to challenge me, Raye?"
SUPER-SPICY MEGA-MONSTER UDON CHALLENGE!
PRIZE: 50,000 YEN
FAILURE: 10,000 YEN
Someone from outside overhears their conversation. The man, calling himself Ramen Saotome, or something like that, who challenges her to the udon. The workers there knew him or something, but all the banter between them blanked out of her mind. Anyway, when the challenge finally started, it seemed like the guy was about to win, but they both ended up in a tie. It wouldv've been split between the two but someone from outside knocked him out the restaurant, earning her all the money... Whatever that was... Anyway, they all go home after that.
Negaverse
Meanwhile, Neflite had been thinking for the past hour about his situation with his new target, Molly, while looking at the Star Crystal, given to him by Queen Beryl to track the Silver Imperium Crystal.
"Hrgghh... I have to figure out why my Star Crystal is reacting to Molly's energy... I'm getting soft. Maybe... Molly can tell me who Sailor Moon actually is?" He grumbled to himself.
Zoycite was listening in to his train of thought from behind a pillar. 'So, Neflite thinks he's close to finding the Silver Imperium Crystal... I have to keep an eye on him.' She smirked mischieveiously.
Neflite decided to teleport outside Molly's bedroom, standing on the balcony.
"The star crystal is acting up again. It's got to be Molly... But... Could the silver crystal be inside a human body...?" He wondered to himself. He levitates the crystal on top of the sleeping Molly to see if it detects the silver crystal. It fails.
Neflite scowls. "No, there's no crystal inside her so why is it reacting!?" He said in frustration, making Molly wake up.
"...Huh!? Maxfield?" Molly sees his silhouette behind the curtains.
"...Maxfield Stanton is not my real name... My name is Neflite, Molly. I won't lie to you anymore. I've got to tell you something."
Molly sits upright in her bed. "A-alright..."
"You're a wonderful person Molly. You taught me to understand humanity for the first time in my life. There's no humanity among evil beings in the Negaverse. Nothing but lies and betrayal, ruthless creatures out for no one but themselves, and I thought that's the way things were everywhere. But you've opened my eyes, Molly. From now on I want to join the Sailor Scouts against the Negaverse. Help me, Molly, if you know who Sailor Moon is, tell me where to find her." He confessed.
"I-Im sorry... I don't know..."
"Don't you believe me?"
"I do, I really do, Neflite. But I don't know anything..." She sobbed.
"I see... You won't help me then..." His silhouette disappears and Molly runs to open the curtains to the night sky.
"N-No! Don't go!..." She said, frantically looking around to see if he's there. "Will he ever come back...?" She looks away from the window just as Neflite reappears again.
'If she knows who Sailor Moon really is, she'll find a way to contact her'
Zoycite was watching from afar on a building rooftop, hearing the conversation Neflite had. She also had three monsters with her, despite this, their names are irrelevant.
"My my my... He's more of an idiot than I thought. He's fallen for that human."
"Madame Zoycite..." Monster #1 spoke.
"Well girls, what do you think about that?"
"What a fool he is. Monster #2 huffed.
"Let's destroy him now." Monster #3 grinned.
"Better to wait, I think. Neflite can be a powerful opponent. Let's attack him in a more subtle way. Why not snatch this girl of his and lure him into our trap?"
"As you wish."
"How am I supposed to find Sailor Moon? Where do I start looking?"
She calls the one person she can rely on.
*Ring*
*Ring*
*Ring*
Serena groans as she walks down the stairs towards the landline. "Who could be calling me in the middle of the night...?" She grumbled as she picked the phone up. "Who is this, who's calling me?" She snapped.
"Serena? Sorry to call you so late" Molly spoke on the phone.
She was surprised by this. "Molly? What's the matter?"
"I really need your help, Serena. I didn't know who else I could call... This person I've been talking to, Maxfield Stanton, said his real name is Neflite, and he asked me to help him find Sailor Moon. I think he's in some kind of trouble, but I can't do anything to help him." She sobbed.
"What kind of trouble did you say he's in?" All she got in response was more sobbing. "You okay?"
"I'm sorry to call you so late at night. I'm okay now." She sniffed. "I'm feeling a lot better now, Serena. Thanks for listening to me."
Neflite was eavesdropping on the conversation. 'Hmm... Serena...' He thought with a questioning look.
"Hurry up Serena. I'm sure Molly is in danger! Come on, move it!" Luna rebuked.
"It's midnight so give me a break for not running fast for your taste..." Serena shot back.
"I'll meet you there then." Luna runs off in the direction of Molly's location.
The pathway Serena was running on suddenly warped and distorted. "Eh...? Am I still dreaming...? No... Probably Neflite's doing... He's gonna be sorry he interrupted my much-needed sleep! Moon... Prism... Power..."
Neflite teleports in front of Serena after she transformed.
"Ahahaha! Thank you for revealing your identity to me, Sailor Moon!" He grinned.
"Neflite?" She questioned.
"So, Sailor Moon is really called Serena. I saw you transform!"
"Uh... Please don't tell anyone who I am..." She sweatdropped, also making Neflite sweatdrop internally as well.
"You don't have to hide it any longer."
"Oh, no, but I really have to. Be nice, okay?" She deadpanned.
Neflite smirked. "Not to worry. In ten seconds you're history anyway!"
Neflite sends a blast attack towards Sailor Moon.
"Oi! Watch the hair!" She complained.
Suddenly, a rose interrupts their shenanigans. "So, Neflite, how about a real fight?" Tuxedo Mask beckons. S-Moon was wondering why he suddenly appeared out of nowhere again. Neflite scowled and was about to attack again before he sensed Molly's cries for help.
"Tsk... I have no time for the likes of both of you! Now that I know who you are, Sailor Moon. I can come after you whenever I like! See you soon!" Neflite runs off in the direction Sailor Moon was supposed to go.
"Huh... Neflite knows who I really am now..." She said blankly, somewhat concerned about it.
"Hmph. Don't worry, Neflite's got his own agenda to worry about, I'll see you around." T-Mask runs off, being useless again.
Neflite teleports back to Molly's room to see a note on her bed.
"Last warning. Hand over your Crystal if you want to see Molly alive again."
He burns the paper in pure rage.
In an abandoned building, Molly is being held hostage while the 3 monsters wait.
"What's taking him so long?" Monster #1 asked.
Monster #2 looked at the hostage with disgust. "What does he see in her anyway? Will he really try to rescue this wimp?"
"If he doesn't, we'll have fun with her, won't we girls?" Monster #3 grinned.
"Look, she's shaking. Poor darling. Ohohohohoho!"
Monster #1 suddenly heard footsteps coming down the stairs, they all looked up to see Neflite looking at them with narrowed eyes.
"Neflite watch out!" Molly cried out.
"You lose traitor!"
They all begin to attack him with explosive attacks but he manages to dodge them all and counter with his attack... His fists. As he ran towards the last monster, she attempted to use her roots to stab him but of course... Neflite's too good to be hit by that. He summoned his sword to stab the wall next to her, widening her eyes in near death.
"I'm not letting you have my Star Crystal... You tell Zoycite that for me!" He said angrily.
Neflite looks at Molly just as she stares back at him, a lot of things going through her mind. He eventually gets her out of her binds and walks out of the building as he carries her.
"Thank you for saving me Neflite..."
"You don't have to thank me. I don't understand why I saved you, Molly. You know I've been lying to you from the first moment I met you... and I'll probably go on and continue lying again..." He mutters in defeat.
Molly put her hand on his chest. "It doesn't matter... Your heart hasn't deceived me, as long as you're with me..." Molly leans into Neflite and sees he has a small cut on his arm with green blood flowing out a bit. "Oh no look! You're hurt!"
"I'm fine, really." He brushes it off.
Molly shakes her head. "No Neflite, you got that cut because of me. Those evil monsters might come back. Come on, this way." Molly guides Neflite to the nearby forest where she bandages him up with her own clothes. They both share a nice moment with each other...
"!?" Neflite suddenly sees the roots coming for Molly so he pushes her away from it, unfortunately taking the hit for her.
"NEFLITE!" She screamed in worry.
"Getting careless, aren't you? That thorn will suck all your energy and shrink your body to Negadust!" Monster #1 laughed.
"Ohohohoh! What a way to go!"
"If you don't want the girl hurt, give us the Star Crystal!" The others commented.
Neflite scowled in pain. "Urgh.....Fine! It's yours, get out of here Molly!"
"No!" Molly, determined to save Neflite, attempts to pull out the roots herself, causing each other to get more hurt due to the shocks it's giving.
"M-Molly..."
"Hah! Stupid girl, she'll never pull that out!"
Molly manages to move the roots a small amount which surprises them all. Seeing this, they saw her as a threat and decided to use their explosive attacks on her, until...
"Moon... Consecutive... Normal Punches..."
*BAM*
*BAM*
*BAM*
Suddenly all the monsters exploded and instantly turned to dust. The Star Crystal dropped to the ground where they stood.
"!?" Neflite widens his eyes.
"Huh!?" Molly looked behind her, seeing the monsters gone and dusted.
Sailor Moon and her group appear from behind one of the trees, only that she had a bored look while her fist was smoking.
'So, Jedite wasn't lying all along...? She's really that strong?' He wondered to himself.
They walked past the Dark Crystal and right up to Neflite, not thinking it was important until Zoycite suddenly appeared out of thin air and quickly grabbed it before floating back up again.
"Hmph, you're pathetic, Neflite. First, you lose your Crystal and now you lose your own life too. We don't tolerate traitors." She spat out before disappearing from the scene.
"Hey, you good? That looks like it hurts..." S-Moon blankly questions the obvious.
Molly looked at her with a worried look. "S-Sailor Moon...?"
"Hm? Yeah that's me, what's up?"
"P-please... Help him... Those roots are going to kill him and there's nothing I can do..." She sobbed.
"Hmm..."
"Well, I heard that pulling foreign objects out of the body might make it worse though..." S-Mercury analysed.
"J-Just do it! Please! I feel my energy slowly draining me..." Neflite said desperately, feeling weaker by the moment.
"If you say so." S-Moon shrugged.
"What!? Why?" S-Mars said as she stared down at Neflite.
"Mars, I think it's fine now. Seems the Negaverse doesn't want him back after all that... Okay, so I just pull these out?"
"Be careful! Those things shock you!" Molly warned.
S-Moon removes the root slowly and carefully so as not to cause more damage to his tissue. After that, she snapped it into pieces, and then to dusts.
"Urgh..." He groaned. "Still hurts..." He clutched onto his shoulder, trying to keep the green blood from flowing out.
"I-It will be okay!... It will be okay..." Molly tries to comfort him with a hug and wraps more clothing around the pecs area.
"Hmm... We can't bring you to the hospital so..." S-Moon questioned before S-Mercury suggested the Cherry Hill, which S-Mars wasn't really happy about, but since it came from her Master, then she'll accept it for now.
Neflite coughs at the conversation between the scouts. "Ahahaha... Sailor Moon, it seems Jedite wasn't lying all along..." He roughly laughs.
"What do you mean by that?" S-Mercury questions.
"Heh... He said that the Sailor Scouts were too strong... The Queen didn't believe him of course... Punished to eternal... Urgh..." He fainted before he could continue, worrying Molly.
"Molly, it's okay, he's just fainted from blood loss. Here, we'll take him to the shrine while you go home okay?" S-Mercury reassured her.
"B-but I..."
"Molly, I'm not sure what your relationship is to that man, but rest assured he will be fixed back up." S-Mars stated.
"Go home, Molly. You need the rest." S-Moon added.
Everyone has transformed back to their civilian clothing while Serena carries Neflite in her arms.
"My... That certainly looks bad, I'll see what I can do with this, you three need to sleep now, it's 1 AM and you all have school tomorrow. Especially you Raye." He scolded.
"Yes Grandpa... Goodnight you two." She bowed to the two before going to her room.
The others eventually return home as well.
Negaverse
"It seems that Neflite wasn't as loyal as I thought he was..." Queen Beryl said in disappointment.
"Well it doesn't matter now, those roots would have killed him by now," Zoycite stated with indifference.
"What a shame... I leave things to you now, Zoycite."
"I won't disappoint you, My queen."
Notes:
A/N - Was debating whether Neflite dies like in the original or not but... He lives to fight another day, now he'll be Molly's bodyguard.
Also changed the relationship between Molly and Neflite as it was originally... More lovey dovey... Definitely not good with today's standards, (the age gap is big). So now it's changed to Neflite being a normal guy just trying to understand the world as Molly teaches him.

"I call upon you, mighty Negaforce. It is I, Queen Beryl, who has come to seek your wisdom. I offer you this energy in exchange for your advice on your glorious quest. I command you to come forth!" She sends an energy beam towards the mysterious entity, and is awakened.
"I've been expecting you, my Queen. Your search for energy has been proceeding well. Finally, you've collected enough to create a powerful tool for your mission!" The voice said ominously.
"Oh? And what is that?"
"You must expend precious energy, but it will be worth it. It will increase your energy a thousandfold!"
"I'll do it!" Queen Beryl said determinedly.
"You must create a new Homing Crystal. It will locate the 7 Rainbow Crystals for you."
Queen Beryl smiled evilly, "Ah, the Rainbow Crystals!"
"Yes. This new Homing Crystal will finally locate our 7 Shadow Warriors trapped inside them. Only when you retrieve the Crystals will the Silver Imperium Crystal be yours at last! You alone shall rule the universe!"
"Excellent!" She grinned maniacally.
Serena was doing her daily jog to school after yesterday's incident. She slept through her alarm, so she had to run to school again.
"Man... Why does school have to be so early...?" She yawned, not going as fast as she usually does to save her already limited energy from the lack of sleep.
"Slow down! You forgot your lunch!" Luna gritted through her teeth, trying to catch up to her with her wrapped lunch on her mouth.
"Can't stop... I'm super late..."
Serena went around the street corner, and she accidentally bumped into someone, knocking them over.
"Hey! Why don't you watch where you're going?" The said person yelled at her.
"Whoops... Sorry..."
"Yeah, well apology not accepted, you jackass!" The person said as he cradled his leg on the ground, his other two friends glaring at her.
"Did you hear that? Maybe your lunch money will make you feel better." Street thug #2 said, standing up as he towered over her. She wasn't phased in the slightest.
Someone else arrived at the scene, making themselves known. "How about a facelift?"
"Huh?" They all turned around to see a girl with a brown ponytail with her arms crossed.
"You heard me. I think you'd better apologise to this nice young lady if you know what's best for you." The girl threatened.
"Ooh, we're shaking!"
"Looky here. This chick thinks she's stronger than we are, don't you babe?" The third street thug said as he attempted to put his hands on her shoulder.
"Don't call me babe!"
She threw him over her shoulder and then the second guy attempted to punch her only to get kneed in the stomach.
"Now, apologies and move your sorry ass!"
"Uhhh.... Sorry!" The first guy said, bolting away.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, thanks." Serena nodded.
The girl smiled before turning away. "Take care, kid!" Her rose earrings shone in the sunlight, which Serena admired.
'Hmm... I sense something about her...' Luna thought in suspicion as she stared at the girl walking away.
Negaverse
Q-Beryl instructs Zoycite and Malachite to find the Rainbow Crystals. Zoycite had a blonde ponytail, and Malachite had long, white hair, being the fourth and last of the strongest commanders.
Q-Beryl explains that Queen Serenity trapped their seven most powerful warriors in the Silver Crystal. It shattered into said rainbow crystals with each one trapped inside them as it vanished into Earth's atmosphere. Malachite deduced that they were reborn inside humans, who now carry the crystals inside them. Q-Beryl gives Zoycite a homing crystal, which she uses to track down the first of the seven rainbow crystal carriers, a guy with a blue cap, shades, and puffy clothing.
"This man shall be the first..."
"How annoying... First, my lunch gets all smashed this morning, and I get held back in class again!" Serena grumbles to herself as she walks to her usual lunch spot. It was then that she noticed someone sitting there already.
"Hm? Have I seen her before...? What's she doing here...?" Serena wondered, having forgotten the girl she met earlier.
Melvin suddenly appeared in front of her. "Hi, Sere-" Serena's fist stopped inches away from Melvin's face, her death aura flaring intensely at whoever dared to jump at her. She then realised it was just Melvin.
"Oh, sorry, thought you were something else, haha!"
"I-I-I d-didn't mean to c-creep up on you... I just wanted to warn you about her..." He whimpered shakily, his entire body screaming danger signals.
"Hm?"
A quick recovery later, Melvin was reading his notes. "She's new here. According to my notes, her name is Lita. She got kicked out from her old school for fighting, and now she's transferred here. Everybody's keeping their distance; you should do the same. This girl sounds like major trouble!" Melvin looks up from his notes to see Serena walking to the girl. "Serena, are you out of your mind!? Don't sneak up on her!"
Serena gets a closer look at Lita and sees the food she has. The bush noises alerted the browned-haired girl. Lita quickly turned towards the unknown person with a glare. "What do you want!?" She said with a rough tone.
"Huh? Uhh... Nothing... Just sightseeing..."
Lita raised her eyebrows at that but brushed it off, looking closer at the girl's features. "Oh! You're the girl I met on the way to school today, right?"
"We did?"
"Yeah! Well, here, have a seat!" Lita moved a bit to the side so Serena could sit beside her.
"Is it true that you were kicked out of your old school for fighting?" Serena suddenly asks, which agitated said girl, as Melvin watches from behind the tree.
'She's gone bonkers!'
"Well... Sort of..." She said, her face becoming slightly sad before returning to normal. "Do you want my homemade muffins?"
"For real!? You'll let me eat it? Well, if you insist!"
'No don't!'
Serena continued stuffing her face with more things that Lita had, which she didn't mind.
"I made them myself. Usually, I'm really hungry, and I eat a ton, but everyone's been such a jackass, I lost my appetite!"
Serena quickly gulped her food before replying. "That's cuz they're scared of you. I mean, they're scared of your reputation. There's a full report on you already; word gets around here pretty fast."
Lita looked down at the ground with a deadpan look. "Oh... Well, maybe I should transfer to a foreign school then."
"Eh? No way! You'll be the mysterious new girl!"
"You mean the martial arts maniac?"
"Who'd call you that? Not when you're with me you aren't." Serena smiled.
"What? Are you the class president or something?"
"Not like that, no."
Serena lifts her puffed uniform sleeves to flex her arm, showing off a lot of muscle, "They'll have to talk to my fist!"
Lita stared at her before smiling. "I... Okay, if you insist."
The two enjoy the moment just as Melvin scoffs.
'Only Serena could make friends with a martial arts psychopath!'
After school, Serena brought Lita to Crown Game Arcade, and they talked about their interest in games. Serena, being Serena, completely forgot about the study session they planned with Amy and Raye, as they both suddenly arrived.
"Serena, what are you doing here? We've been waiting for you." Amy asked.
"Eh...? You have?"
"Yes, we were supposed to meet at your house, remember?"
"Oh, well..." She looked down awkwardly before using her 'change topic' technique. "I met a new friend." They all looked at the brawny girl who was busy playing the Sailor V arcade, yelling at the screen for messing up sometimes.
"Her?" Luna questioned.
"Yup. She transferred to our school today. Hey, Lita! I'd like to introduce you to two of my friends, Amy and Raye."
After that, meet and greet...
"So, Master, are you ready to study?" Raye simply stated, confusing Lita.
"M-master!?" She blushed.
"I-It's not like that..."
A crowd formed around the arcade area, which the group got interested in. There, it shows someone in puffy clothes, a hat, and shades, playing a crane game and somehow getting all the stuffed toys he aims for without fail... Lita falls in love with him, saying he looks just like her old boyfriend, which Serena just raised her eyebrows at.
Later, the mysterious person, Joe, is seen walking around the city with his prize without a care in the world, with Zoycite stalking him nearby. "Yes... This is the human who bears the Rainbow Crystal, this is my chance!" Zoycite appears in front of Joe out of thin air, which startles him.
"W-What do you want?" He asked cautiously of the woman.
"You're about to find out!" She throws the Dark Crystal into the air, and it starts to radiate.
"Hey, I don't want any trouble, so just let me get by..." He tried walking away when he felt a huge headache. "Ugh... What's happening to me? I feel so strange... Urggh!!" The first Rainbow Crystal appears in front of Joe's chest but before Zoycite could snatch it away... Someone shows up.
"What's going on here?" Lita demanded.
Zoycite narrows her eyes. "So who's this...?"
"Leave him alone if you know what's good for you!"
The Rainbow Crystal slowly disappears, much to Zoycite's dismay. "Nuisance! I was so close!" She scowled.
"Get lost already!" She said, walking up to her.
"This is a private conversation, kid, so buzz off before I get angry."
"Not anymore! So leave him alone!" Lita goes on to fight Zoycite, but she dodges all her attacks with a smug look.
Lita gets a surprise hit on Zoycite, which she wasn't expecting.
"Grr... You're going to regret that! You have no idea who you're dealing with!"
With that, she disappears from the scene. After that, Lita checks on Joe to see if he's okay, but brushes her off and walks away while clutching to his chest. Lita follows him while Serena stays behind.
"Oh, he left his prizes behind. Does that mean I can keep all of them?"
"Serena be serious. I feel a dangerous aura coming from that man. We have to keep a close eye on him, discreetly." Luna warned.
"Is that so...? In that case, LITA! HOLD ON! I'M COMING WITH YOU!" She yelled, running towards their direction.
Luna slaps her head in disbelief.
Serena continues following the both of them as Lita tries talking to Joe.
Joe initially tells Lita to leave him alone, and goes into a cafe. Serena and Luna join Lita outside as she just talks dreamily about him. After a while, Joe beckons Lita inside. He tells her that his crane game skills are due to a psychic power he has had since childhood. Lita had an understanding look before the waitress appeared.
"Hello, miss, may I take your order?
"Yes, I'd like a cup of tea with some lemon, please, oh, and a piece of cherry pie with ice cream on the side..." Lita finally looks up at the waitress and realises...
"You again!" She yelled, alerting Joe.
"Huh!?"
"Leave us alone!"
Lita was about to attack her, but Zoycite used the dark energy to push her back, toppling both seats over.
"That's no waitress! We'd better get in there!" Luna said in shock, watching the whole ordeal go down.
"Yeah, must've learnt that move from that movie with the laser swords or something..." Serena yawned while getting up.
"What?"
As Joe screams, trying to get out, Lita questions if it's his jealous girlfriend or something, all while Zoycite chases after him.
"Lita? You alright?" Serena questioned.
"Ugh! She came out of nowhere and did a surprise attack on us!"
"How do you feel though...?"
"Pissed off! That's what!" She scowled.
"Leave me alone!" Joe pleaded as they both ended up in the park.
"But you've got something I want, and I'm not leaving until I get it. Don't worry, soon you'll be yourself again. Your true self. You're on my side, you just don't know it yet." She grinned, throwing the Dark Crystal again, and it started radiating like before. The first Rainbow Crystal appears in front of Joe, and she takes it. Lita ends up finding both of them.
"Aghhhh!!!" He screams in pain as Lita watches in worry, wondering what is happening to him. Zoycite smirked, having finally gotten what she wanted when S-Moon arrived.
"That crystal isn't yours, jerk."
Lita looked at the newcomer in shock. "Sailor Moon!?"
Zoycite sneered. "Well, it's the so-called champion of justice for fun. I'd love to stay but I think I got a victory celebration to attend. If it makes you feel any better, I'll be leaving your pal alone for now." She laughs, disappearing into the night, just as Joe transforms into a monster.
"Arghh... I'm Game Machine Man! Champion of the Negaverse!" The monster boasted, confusing S-Moon. This is the true power of the Negaverse... How boring... Did Luna lie to her?
"Time to play, Sailor Brat. This game is about to start!" His right hand transforms into a hammer and attempts to crush Sailor Moon with it. "No bonus round for you!"
Lita intervenes and picks him up WWE style before throwing him back down to the ground forcefully. "Try and survive this!" A symbol appeared on her forehead briefly.
"The fourth sign!" Luna gasped.
"The game may be over, but I'm not out! Round two coming at you!" His hand turns into a game claw that grabs onto S-Moon. She had an indifferent reaction, as she could easily snap it off, but wasn't bothered to for some reason. Lita runs up to him and tackles him, forcing him to let go of S-Moon. "I'll keep at him until he's learnt his lesson!"
Luna ran up to her with a transformation pen in her mouth as she dropped it next to her. "No, wait. Lita, use this to transform, it's your best hope!"
"When'd you learn to talk!?"
"No time for that! Take this stick and do what I say. You are destined to defend peace and justice just like Sailor Moon. Now, say Jupiter Power!"
Lita didn't hesitate and grabbed the transformation pen from the ground. "Jupiter Power!"
"So Lita is Sailor Jupiter..." S-Moon muttered.
The monster got up shakily, angered by this outcome. "Grr Jupiter Stupider!" He prepares another attack.
"On behalf of Jupiter, I call upon the forces of thunder and lightning to vanquish this evil! Jupiter Thunder Crash!"
The attack stunned the monster, as he was sent back down again. "Aghhh!!! My circuits!"
"You whipped him pretty good," S-Moon commented.
"I guess so..." S-Jupiter scratched her head.
"S-Moon sighed. "Oh well... Time to finish it off I guess..."
"No, not this time, Sailor Moon. The only possible way you can stop him is by making him human again." Luna summons an object and gives it to her.
"It's the Crescent Moon Wand. Take it and say Moon Healing Activation, it will break the spell." Luna explained.
"So I can't even punch my enemies anymore... Alright fine... Moon... Healing... Activation..."
The monster screamed as he turned back into Joe.
"Huh, neat."
Luna walks up to the new member. "Sailor Jupiter, you were most impressive. You're going to be a great Sailor Scout."
S-Jupiter beamed in response. "Thank you, Luna, I'm glad you think so."
"Sailor Moon, the Crescent Moon Wand, is a very important element of our mission because it's the symbol of our leader. The Crescent Moon Wand is a powerful treasure, and you must guard it until we find the princess of the Moon."
"..."
"Sailor Moon?"
"Huh? Oh, speak 20 words or less, I didn't hear anything you said just now." She yawned.
"Seriously!?" Luna yelled out.
"What she's trying to say is that you shall be our leader from now on." S-Jupiter comments.
"Oh? Well, why didn't you say that earlier? Sure, why not?"
"Why you!?"
Next Day - Crown Game Arcade
"Alright, Serena. You've shown your muscles, but is it enough to prove you're strong?" Lita asks in a pumped-up tone.
"Uhh... What?"
"What I'm saying is... Let's test our strength on this punch machine!"
"I'm not sure about that..." Serena sweatdrops
"Why not? It'll be fun for both of us!"
"For you, yes. But for me, I might damage the machine, and possibly the wall behind it."
Lita rolled her eyes. "Don't be so cocky. Here, watch me!" She reared her arm back and punched the... well... punching bag.
*PUNCH*
SCORE: 999
"Hah! Max score! Do you think you can beat me?" She boasted to the indifferent Serena.
Serena didn't respond and only walked towards the punch machine with a blank expression before her hand instantly travelled to the punch bag.
*P U N C H*
SCORE: ???
The punch machine caved into the wall which caused a commotion.
"What happened here!? What was that!? Who did that!? Was it the browned-haired girl? No way it was the meatball-head..." The crowd commented, hearing the loud noise. All Lita could do was watch in awe at her leader.
'So this is what she meant yesterday... So cool!!!' Lita stargazed.
Andrew appeared along side the crowd. "What's going on here? What ha- Serena? Long time no see!" Serena turned around in panic. "Huh!? Oh, uhh, hey... Andrew... This uhh... Well..." She stammered.
"I was gonna talk to you about how Joe came here today, but now... I have to deal with this... WITH MY PAYCHECK!!!" He whailed.
"Uhh some uhh super strong guy was here earlier! He did all that!" Serena sweatdropped, blaming it on some non-existent guy.
Andrew sighs, thought skeptically. "I see... This is going to be a pain to clean up... But, hey, who's your friend?"
"Ah, it's Lita."
Lita stared at him with dreamy eyes. "Wow... He's exactly like my old boyfriend!"
"Eh? Didn't you say Joe looked like your old boyfriend?" She questioned with narrowed eyes.
"He's dreamy..."
"Lita! Come on now! You can't just keep getting off track every 2 minutes!"
"Look who's talking!" Luna chimed in.
Somewhere else...
...
...
...
"Molly!" Neflite jolted up in what appears to be a small room while lying on a futon.
"Where am I..." He muttered to himself. The door opened, revealing a short old man.
"Ah, you're finally awake!" Grandpa Hino said.
"Hm? Who are you?"
"Just call me Mr Hino for now. I took care of your... injuries, to say."'
"...But why...?"
"Well, my niece and her friend brought you here to take care of your injuries. Luckily for you, they were healed pretty quickly. A bit odd, I would admit."
"Huh...?" Neflite checks the right side of his body to see that the holes in his body are no more. He was wrapped in bandages and the blood was... red...?
"I'm... Fine..? Not dead...?" He wondered in surprise and disbelief.
Grandpa Hino grinned. "Of course not! Not with my amazing medicine, of course. You're almost as good as new, although you did lose a lot of blood, though..."
Neflite just nodded. "R-Right... I just hope Molly is okay...'

Chapter Text
Super Time Skips...
Zoycite has tracked down more people who carried the Rainbow Crystals and took them. Tuxedo Mask stole some from them. Sailor Moon heals the corrupted people, blah blah blah...
Darien keeps getting strange dreams where someone tells him to find the Rainbow Crystals before it's too late. The unknown person also refers to him as Tuxedo Mask for some reason. Odd.
Neflite finally gets to walk freely and disguises himself as Maxfield Stanton while Molly brings him to many places in Crossroads.
Negaverse
"So... Zoycite, what's wrong? You still haven't figured out who Tuxedo Mask is? We're running out of time. I suggest you do so now." Queen Beryl demanded.
"I don't know his real identity, majesty, but I will soon." She reassures her. "He barely showed up before, but now all of a sudden, he shows up to take the rainbow crystals."
"Well, good. Then we can trap him and get those two Rainbow Crystals he's stolen."
"That's pretty much what I had in mind, my Queen. Actually, Malachite and I worked out a plan. We should be able to get those Crystals back, no problem. I'll capture Sailor Moon and force Tuxedo Mask to exchange the Crystals for her." Zoycite explained.
Queen Beryl narrowed her eyes. "Do you really think you can manage that, Zoycite? She's outwitted you several times. And let's not forget that you still have her 4 Sailor Friends to contend with."
"I know. I await your orders, my Queen." She bowed.
Malachite appeared next to her for support. "I would like to go with Zoycite, your majesty. The Scouts have been a problem in the past, so I've revised our plan to trap them all and make Tuxedo Mask surrender his Crystals for their safety. It's a daring plan that will take a lot of energy, but it will be worth it."
"Very well, I'm putting you in charge, Malachite. But I warn you, don't disappoint me!"
"We won't!" They both said.
Today was supposed to be a normal day, but someone was attempting to do a robbery with a gun in their hand.
"Put all the money in the bag now! Don't you bank clerks try anything fancy- Gah!" He winced in pain, his hand being hit by a... boomerang? Knocking the gun away.
"That's good advice." A figure said from the door.
"Who the hell are you? Where did you come from?"
The mysterious figure revealed themself. "I'm Sailor Moon! A champion of justice for fun!" She said with pride. However, what was odd about her was that her uniform was tinted more towards purple, and her eyes were narrower, definitely not like the blank looks S-Moon usually gives, but the average person wouldn't know that.
S-Moon proceeds to do a drop kick on the robber, which knocks him out.
"Good news, folks. An attempted robbery was foiled today by the young superheroine named Sailor Moon! This brave young woman, who has become familiar by now, single-handedly unarmed the robber with a mighty karate kick!"
Luna was watching the news report on TV at home, which showed the aftermath. She rubbed her eyes, making sure she was seeing right. "Sailor Moon...!? It can't be...
She never stays behind when she deals with criminals!"
Meanwhile, Serena and Lita were just walking around the city, eating dessert. Two people were window cleaning a building, minding their own business.
Suddenly, the ropes were hit by crystal shards, which weakened them. In said building, Darien noticed something flash by quickly. The ropes end up slowly ripping apart, and the workers end up hanging... on to dear life. A crowd forms around the window, watching in worry.
"I can't hold on much longer! Somebody help!" The worker panicked.
Darien leaned in on the window with a suspicious look. 'This didn't happen by accident... Somebody must have sliced the ropes!'
A huge crowd watched from below as Serena was already preparing to transform into S-Moon. However, someone beat them to it. The ropes finally rip apart as the workers scream to their doom. S-Moon, however, saved them. She swung onto a rope and caught them all before landing on the roof tent thingy, cheers forming around her.
"Don't sweat it, folks! You're safe as long as I'm around!" S-Moon smiled before leaving the scene.
Darien runs out of the building just as he sees her running away. 'That's not the Sailor Moon I know... I better see what's up...'
"To think that someone is pretending to be Sailor Moon... Serena, we... Uh... Hello...?" Lita looked at her in concern, seeing her eye twitch rapidly.
"That... Thieving jerk! She stole my look!" She gritted her teeth.
"Huh!?" Lita followed her as she stomped on the ground with each step, causing the ground to crack a bit.
"I spent all this time trying to be a champion of justice, but if she keeps acting up and doing something stupid, I'll be treated like a villain! I'm gonna destroy her!" She smashed her fists together in response.
'She's scary when she's serious...' Lita shuddered. "W-Well, you have your communicator, right? We got to tell the others about this."
Evening
Fake S-Moon is seen jumping from building to building towards the docks where they would trap them all while Malachite watches from above.
"This new Sailor Moon is the perfect foil... And the perfect bait for Tuxedo Mask. Finally, we'll have the Crystals, and Queen Beryl shall be ecstatic!" He smirked as convenient lighting appeared.
Meanwhile, Darien was running around the docks trying to find S-Moon to no success, much to his frustration.
"She swung down the rope and saved the two?" Amy asked as the group walked around the docks, also looking for S-Moon.
Raye glared into nothing in particular. "How dare her... To steal the look and fame of my Master! She will pay..."
Lita sweat-dropped. "I think you're taking this copycat too seriously..."
Raye shakes her head in response. "Nonsense. If she makes a mockery of Sailor Moon, then Master will have to pay the price." Serena sighs in response.
"We need to figure out where she's coming from. Is she friend or enemy?" Amy questioned.
"I guess you're right..." Lita sighed.
Raye turned to Luna. "Luna, could she be the fifth Sailor Scout?"
Luna gasped in surprise. "Huh!? I... I've got no clue on this one..." She muttered.
"Well, if she IS the fifth Sailor Scout, no way that thieving jerk is stealing my name! I was Sailor Moon first, and it's going to stay that way." Serena stated.
"And if she's bogus, that girl's dead!" Lita added.
They all suddenly hear a loud scream nearby.
"Someone's in trouble! Let's go!" Lita remarked.
The group finds Fake S-Moon tied up to a crane while Malachite watches from a distance, making sure he's not caught.
"The Negaverse has captured Sailor Moon..." Luna stared with wide eyes.
"Well? Let's get her down then." Serena shrugged.
"Not yet... This could be a trick." Lita warned.
"Lita is right, you know."
"I don't care if it is Luna. I want to find out who that girl thinks she is."
"Right, in that case, we will look for the one behind this while you interrogate that thief!" Raye glared at the captured S-Moon.
They all transform into Sailor Scouts as the real S-Moon jumps up and carries Fake S-Moon down in her arms and takes her away to one of the warehouses where she won't be interrupted by anyone, especially if it's the Negaverse.
Meanwhile, with the others they all got confronted by Malachite.
"Hmph, most impressive, Sailor Scouts, and let me say that it's been a pleasure finally meeting all of you for the first and, let me assure you, very last time. Dark energy electrify!" He commanded.
A sphere of dark energy is formed around the Sailor Scouts.
"That ought to shut you up for a while," Malachite smirked.
S-Mars scoffed. "Hmph, pathetic. Mars Fire Ignite!"
The fireball went towards the dark sphere, but it got absorbed...
"What!? It didn't work?" S-Mercury said apprehensively.
Malachite's outline figure appears largely on the dark sphere as he sends out explosives at them. "Not even close, Sailor Brats!"
They all run away as they try to not get hit.
"Urgh... I'll stop him!" S-Jupiter grunted.
Malachite's face appears in front of her, but upside down. "Go on then! Give it a try!"
"Jupiter Thunder Crash!"
The electric attack was not effective...
"Not even a dent! We're in real trouble..." S-Mercury muttered in defeat.
Malachite rolled his eyes. "Slow learners, aren't you girls? Your pathetic powers are no match for the Negaverse. No sense in wasting so much energy. Dark Energy, shrink to fit!"
The sphere starts closing in on the Sailor Scouts.
"Alright, jerk. Why are you dressed up the same as me?" S-Moon confronts the... Other S-Moon lookalike.
Fake Moon tries a fake shocked expression. "Huh...? Wh-What's your deal? I just wanted to... join the Sailor Scouts...?" She squeals out.
"No. Denied. As just a champion of justice for fun, I'm here to smash your head in. For personal reasons." S-Moon's blank eyes stare directly into her soul.
Suddenly, Fake S-Moon felt it, that aura...
'What is this feeling?' She shuddered, her entire body shaking. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed, summoning a long crystal and slicing the bean bags and boxes around her, which spilled the contents inside and made everything topple over each other. With that, she escaped from the warehouse that held the dangerous opponent.
"I've got to find Sailor Moon! I know she's in danger; I can sense it!" Tuxedo Mask anxiously runs around and eventually finds Sailor Moon limping, almost falling over, before he catches her.
"Sailor Moon! Are you alright?... Huh...?"
He looked up to see a huge thunderstorm building up as it was about to strike towards them. He evaded the near-death as he went to the nearest warehouse, carrying S-Moon in his arms.
"It's alright now... we're safe. You'll be okay." He reassured her.
As he turned to look at the crane that was struck by the lightning, S-Moon grinned maniacally. "...Hehe... Can't say the same for youuu!!!" She taunted, making a crystal in her hand before stabbing him in the back, literally!
T-Mask grunts in pain as he staggers away from S-Moon. "Y-You're not Sailor Moon!" He realised.
The faker gets out of her Sailor Moon dress and finally reveals her true self.
"Ahahahaha! Tuxedo Mask, you're so gullible! Now you're mine! And soon, the Rainbow Crystals will be as well. Zoy!"
Zoycite sends her attacks of tiny crystal shards at Tuxedo Mask, but he manages to dodge them and hides behind boxes.
"Ahahahaha! You can run... But you can't hide! The Negaverse sees everything!" She summons her long crystal and runs towards his direction. "I'm gonna get you, Cape Boy! Hahahaha!"
Tuxedo Mask clutches onto his back where he was stabbed and leans against bean bags. "How could I be so stupid!?"
"The dome is getting smaller!" S-Mercury said anxiously.
"Fighting it does nothing!" S-Jupiter said in exasperation.
S-Mars clicked her teeth. "He's got to be their strongest warrior..."
Malachite smirked... "Zoycite, got those Crystals back yet?"
"Cape boy is history!"
She begins slicing everything into pieces, toppling everything over so that Tuxedo Mask has to reveal his location. Tuxedo Mask runs away from the falling bean bags and manages to find an open space. She attacks him, but clashes with his own weapon... A freaking cane!
"Surrender the Rainbow Crystals!" She eventually knocks his mask away with one of his attacks, revealing his identity. Queen Beryl was watching through her orb and was shocked. "That face! At last, we know who Tuxedo Mask is!"
"Come on, just surrender already!" Zoycite beckoned.
"Never!" He shot back.
"Fine, have it your way..." Her weapon starts to glow and light up before...
"Venus Crescent Beam Smash!"
She suddenly got hit with an energy attack on both of her hands...
Zoycite winced as she caressed both her hands. A shadow cowered over her, and she looked up to see an unknown figure.
"Where did you come from!?" She scowled, wondering how she got there before looking back to see that T-Mask had disappeared. When she looked back up again, the figure was also gone.
"Oh, just great... They both disappeared!..." She sighed before realising. "No... This can't be. All the Sailor Scouts should be in that dome while Sailor Moon should be squished by now!"
"That fake Sailor Moon was part of your plan, wasn't she?" S-Mercury asked.
"Smart girl, you finally figured it out. But not soon enough to avoid our trap."
Zoycite appears as she walks up to Malachite. "I have bad news...."
S-Jupiter sees her and scowls. "That bitch Zoycite!" She muttered.
"I had Tuxedo Mask cornered, but then another Scout attacked me."
"Huh!? Impossible, Zoycite, you can see that all the Scouts are in this dome! What about Sailor Moon?"
"I thought she would've been squished by now from all those boxes... Those wretched brats... They have tricked me with some kind of illusion!"
Meanwhile, S-Mars was slightly anxious. 'What are we going to do...? Master... Where are you!?'
"Tuxedo Mask would've come by now... If he still cared... Maybe he's on their side?" S-Mercury wondered to herself.
"Tuxedo Mask, where are you hiding? You don't care about your little girly Scout Club Members? Come out right now, or else they're going to be history. Hear me!?" Zoycite threatened, knowing he was still somewhere around the area.
"Ugh... Finally got that dust off my hair... Why does this dock even have bags and bags of cement anyway!? Now... Where to find those guys..."
S-Moon continues walking until she finds T-Mask running somewhere.
"Hm...? Maybe he can help me with where to go! I'm a genius... I'll just follow him from behind..."
"Try to hang on, guys!" S-Mercury chided the group as they struggled to stand up as the dome got smaller and smaller.
All Luna could do was watch in panic; no way would she be able to deal with the two Generals as a cat.
Just then, Tuxedo Mask appears from a corner of a building, still clutching onto his back where he was stabbed. "Let them go! I'll give you the Crystals!"
Zoycite smiled. "I knew you'd finally see our way, Cape Boy. Hand over the Crystals before it's too late. Chop Chop!"
Someone else appears behind Tuxedo Mask whom he was not expecting.
"They're not yours, dude," S-Moon says with a blank tone.
T-Mask snapped his head around in surprise just as the Scouts turn towards the voice in shock as well.
Another voice was added to the conversation. "Yeah! He's not handing anything, you monster creeps!"
"!? There it is, it's that voice again!" Zoycite looked around anxiously, trying to find where it came from.
Luna gasped. "We're saved!"
They all heard a whistle from the top of a building. "Up here, guys!"
They look up and see a figure with long blonde hair, wearing an orange sailor scout uniform.
"Where'd she come from!?" Malachite yelled.
She jumps off the building and lands gracefully on the ground. "I'm Sailor Venus, and if you're looking to make any trouble..." She stops to take off her mask dramatically. "Here it comes right back at ya!"
"Venus Crescent Beam Smash!"
The beam connects with Malachite's hands, causing him to lose concentration on the dark energy sphere and making it disappear. "She's broken the forcefield! How could she?"
The scouts are set free as they try to adjust to their surroundings. "W-What happened?" S-Mercury asked.
"She's set us free..." S-Mars analysed the new person who arrived.
"Sailor Venus?" S-Moon questioned out loud. "Isn't she our fifth scout or something?"
The now freed Scouts gasp at that new information.
"That's right, Sailor Scouts, the fifth Sailor Scout is here, and I'm her guardian, Artemis." The second new voice spoke. It was a white cat.
"Meet Sailor Venus, we're united at last," Artemis stated.
The two generals backed up slightly. "Tsk... Enough... We didn't come here to put on some reunion party!" Zoycite stated as they were now both on guard, a two on five, they could have trouble dealing with. The two suddenly hear Queen Beryl in their head.
"Malachite, Zoycite, return at once!" She commanded.
"We don't have the crystals, Queen Beryl!" Malachite responded.
"I know that, but it's too risky. Return now."
"We can win this!" Zoycite replied, much to her disdain.
"Zoycite... NEVER QUESTION ME!" She yelled, making her wince.
"...We'd better hit it..." Malachite sighed.
"We're in for an earful..."
Malachite looked at the group with anger. "You got lucky, but everybody's luck runs out sometime!" With that, they disappear into thin air... For now.
S-Moon looked around and realised that T-Mask left already, odd, but she shrugged it off.
"Well, Luna, it sure has been a long time. Pretty sight, huh? I can't tell you how happy we are to finally join up with you guys." Artemis said.
"Sailor Venus! I can't believe this! Really!" S-Jupiter said with excitement
S-Venus smiles in return, "It's great to be here!"
S-Moon, meanwhile, had a questioning look on her face. "Hmm... Are you the Moon Princess we've been looking for?"
"Me? Princess? Nope!"
Intermission 2 - Road To Redemption
"Oh, I almost forgot, you have guests coming to meet you!" Grandpa Hino explains to Neflite, who was sitting up in his futon.
"Guest...?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Sure! They're waiting outside, I'll get them for you."
Neflite watches the old man walk away and opens the door. Who would even want to see him anyway? Hopefully not the Negaverse to finish them off... Or... Maybe... It's Molly...?
The door entrance reveals 4 people and a cat coming in.
"Yo." Serena waved lazily.
"Huh...? Serena? Why are you here?" He asked.
"We've come here to ask you questions, Neflite," Raye stated with a glare, as always.
"I hope you don't mind!" Amy said calmly.
"Uhh, who's this guy?" Lita questioned, she admitted that he looked kinda... hunky...
"Ex bad guy from Negaverse." Serena simply replied.
"Well... now an ex-general under Queen Beryl now..." Neflite mumbled out loud.
Lita's eyes widen. "You mean... an enemy! I'll-" She raised her fists, but Amy stopped her.
Amy stops Lita before she can get a swing at him. "No, Lita! He's no longer one of them!"
"Huh?"
"From my assumptions, they think that Neflite is dead because of his actions towards Serena's friend, Molly. He saved her from some Negamonsters." Raye explains.
"Yeah, they weren't that strong at all..." Serena commented.
Meanwhile, Neflite was just staring at all of them... Realising... He gets their attention by clearing his throat. "You know... Showing up to me in your civilian identity is a really bold move, Sailor Scouts..."
Raye scoffed. "As if it would matter. If the Negaverse finds out you're alive, they will want your head. Now, we will ask you questions and you should answer, or else..."
Neflite scowled slightly. "Hrgh... Whatever... Okay, shoot. Ask away. Not like I can go back anyway..."
"What are your goals for collecting human energy anyway?" Amy asks first.
"Simple... I guess... Gather energy for the Negaverse."
"And what were those energies used for?"
"From what I was told... Those human energies that we collected were for the Negaforce. The entity behind the destruction of the Silver Millennium 1000 years ago... She was sealed away by Queen Serenity but managed to escape partially and needs human energy to regain her power... and take over the Universe."
"No way..." Lita muttered with wide eyes.
"So that means... You're 1000 years old? Do you have birthdays?" Serena asked, making Luna glare at her.
"Serena, stay focused!" She snapped.
Neflite looked at the cat strangely. 'A talking cat...? Eh... Whatever...'
"Because of that, everyone in the Negaverse got reincarnated... Including us, the Generals... And Queen- No, and Beryl too..."
Everyone was processing the information Neflite just dumped on them...
"And you only got reincarnated recently, yeah?"
They all looked at Serena with confusion.
"I mean... I've been fighting monsters for 3 years up to this point, some of them pretty big too... You're telling me your guys couldn't make monsters the size of Godzilla?"
"You're saying you want someone strong enough to take you on...?" Luna grumbled.
Neflite shook his head dismissively. "Well... No... I think that would be too much energy for the Negaforce to create... though if we did manage to... Would it really work against Queen Serenity...?" He wondered to himself, seeing as she managed to seal the entire army away.
Amy joined in. "So wait, monsters have already appeared here on Earth before the Negaverse? What could be the cause of their sudden appearance?" She thought
Raye widened her eyes at that theory. 'Are they the ones responsible for destroying my hometown?...' She glared at nothing in particular.
Serena smiled, suddenly remembering something. "Yeah! They were pretty fun to fight against, actually. During my training, I'd end up fighting monsters twice my size, even when I felt like my body was giving up. Luna would always pester me to run away, though..." She glanced at the cat, who was staring at her with a glare. "Anyway, I think this one time we accidentally discovered some cave full of monsters, just a buncha weaklings... Then again, Luna insisted I get out before more monsters came..."
"...Woops, guess I rambled too long, huh?" She smiled sheepishly as everyone else tried to process what she experienced... but with Luna, having just heard this new information...
"...SERENA! AT WHAT POINT WAS ANY OF THAT FUN!? THEY WERE POSSIBLY WORLD-ENDING THREATS, AND NO ONE ELSE COULD DEFEAT THEM BUT YOU! YOU COULD HAVE DIED AT SOME POINT AND NO ONE WOULD KNOW! YOU... YOU..." She hissed aggressively.
Serena scratched her head dismissively. "Yeah? But I didn't... To be honest, they all died in one punch anyway... Plus, I couldn't find their leader anywhere, so who knows? Maybe I punched it by accident and now it's dead."
Neflite stares at Serena with a single thought in his mind. 'This is the person we were up against!? Hah! Glad I'm not the one to deal with it... Heh...' He smirked lightly.
"This is a lot to take in... Serena..." Amy muttered in awe.
'Master... if only I could be as strong as you...' Raye thought, feeling inspired by her Master's strength.
Lita looked at her own arms and flexed a bit. 'She's that strong...? Just how many monsters did she take out by herself!?'
Everyone's thoughts were interrupted by Serena as she stood up and stretched. "Weeelp with that out of the way, if we want to stop the Negaverse, then can't we just find their base and raid it? Where is it anyway? Nerima Ward?"
"I... I'm not sure... We always teleported in and out of the base, guess we never bothered going outside normally..." Neflite shrugged.
"Hmm... Well, this has gone on for too long." She says before standing up and yawning. "All this plot explanation in a filler chapter made me tired, I'm gonna go play at the arcade, see ya guys!"
With that, Serena walks out and leaves to do her own thing. The rest eventually leave, leaving Neflite to himself. "A group of monsters camping underground...? So like, a monster association or something?" He mumbled to himself.
Neflite hears footsteps getting louder and louder towards his room until...
"Oh Neflite! I'm glad you're okay!" Molly smiled.
He stared at her in bewilderment. Molly? What are you doing here?"
"Why, I'm taking you out... To have a chocolate parfait with me!"
Neflite had no choice in the matter as Molly dragged him out of the Shrine and onto the Crossroads City, but not before quickly disguising himself. While walking around the city, Molly is oddly silent and thinking about things. When he questions her, she refuses to answer at first, and he sighs.
"...Did you hear our conversation from this morning? Molly?" He questioned.
"...I'm sorry." She muttered. "I knew I shouldn't have listened in, but... Serena..."
"Is also Sailor Moon..." He finished for her. He looked up at the sky before answering again.
"She probably did that so you wouldn't worry... I mean, it seems she does make a target for herself for her enemies, even if they don't recognise her civilian form. It wouldn't go well if anyone were to figure out that you both knew each other. They're a real threat, and I don't think Queen Beryl's army could go up against them..."
"I guess so..." Was all she could say.
"Now, enough sad sap, where are you taking me anyway?"
Molly dragged Neflite around the city, and eventually, it was evening.
"Today was a good day!" She smiled.
"Sure was, huh..." He muttered, slowly taking in everything Molly showed him throughout the day. It was... a breath of fresh air. Never felt this free before... It was nice compared to the dullness in the Negaverse.
"Well, it is getting late, so I guess you'll have to go back to Cherry Hill..." Molly said depressively.
"Well... I'm only really staying there for a bit until I go back to my hideout."
"Y-you mean you're gonna go back to those evil monsters again?"
"No! I meant my own actual hideout that I stayed in. I should guide you back home."
They almost reached Molly's mixed-use building when they suddenly got confronted. Three delinquents were planning a break-in on her jewellery shop.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing out at night?" Delinquent 1 said slyly.
"Huh!?" Molly said, startled.
"Yeah... Why don't you leave that geezer next to you, and we'll show you a good time..." Delinquent 2 said.
"Trust me, it'll be worth it..." Delinquent 3 grinned.
Neflite scowled deeply, his fist closing tightly. "Get lost." He threatened the three, who just sneered.
"Hey, hey, hey, hold up. Isn't that Maxfield Stanton?" Delinquent 1 asked.
"You mean the millionaire?"
"Huh...? Oh yeah, it is!" The three took their wooden bats out.
"This is the opportunity of a lifetime! We could rob him, the store, and get the gir-"
*PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH*
Neflite right hooked all three at once, getting knocked out over one punch... Ironic. Molly was just awed at her protector, who just looked away in embarrassment, saying it was nothing. She gets home safely as Neflite returns to the shrine. Little did he know that Molly would continue dragging him to places after school and protect her from weirdos that threatened her, unknowingly becoming her bodyguard. He doesn't know why, but he likes it's his destiny to do so, as he's done so in the past to protect and serve someone... Yeah, he served Queen Beryl, but... Was there someone else he was supposed to serve...? Who knows...?
Next Day
"He left?" Raye asked his grandpa who nods in return.
"He told me he's going back to his mansion. Why didn't you tell me he wasn't the millionaire Maxfield Stanton?"
"Huh...? Well..."
"Is my niece finally having feelings for someone?" He teased.
She scoffed. "No, taking care of that rampaging monster takes priority." She glared at him who just puts his hands up in defeat.
"Alright, alright, I understand... But what about the new guy who started working here? Chad? He seems your type."
"No." She huffed, stomping away to do her duties. She loved her Grandpa but sometimes he could be a nuisance.
"Ahh, young love... So bliss!"
