Chapter Text
Great. Juuust great. Summer break hadn't even started and it was already ruined. Why? Well..
"What!? What's she doing here?" Ben shouted, pointing angerly at his (nerd) cousin. She glared back at him while their shared grandpa just sighed.
"I wouldn't be here if my parents hadn't insisted, dweeb." She spat, leaning back on the booth chair. Gwen Tennyson was 10 years old and had the physical build expected of one. She also had green eyes and ginger hair, the latter meaning she has no soul, so says Mahito in Gabfr's jjk universe.
Paying no attention to the freak, Ben turned to his grandpa "but grandpa, this trip is always just me and you!" He complained. Max, a rather large man(not just weight but also sheer size) who wore a red Hawaiian shirt, simply smiled
"You two need to get a little bit of bonding time, this trip'll do you both good!" He assured, eliciting two groans.
The trio had set up camp, with Max whipping up dinner in the camper van affectionately called 'the rust bucket'
"Alright kids, dinner's almost ready!" Max said. The two cousins simply sat on opposite logs from each other around the campfire, both silently glaring at each other.
Suddenly, Ben sat up and began walking "where do you think you're going?" She asked, with Max turning to look at them, also curious
"On a walk, the camp smoke is terrible." He said, turning back briefly before walking away. This was a lie, because unlike Gwen, Ben had been on trips with his grandpa many times, and as such knew a critical piece of information.
"Well, we'll just have to start dinner without him then." Max said, bringing out two plates of roasted... Insects!?
"Oh my God.." Gwen muttered in horror
"I know, right? These things are jam packed with all sorta nutrients!" Max said, taking a spoonful and digging right in.
"I.. I think I just saw one move.." Gwen gagged and scooted away from her plate. A bug had indeed moved.
Back with Ben, he had been walking for about 10 minutes with no real destination in mind, anything to get away from his grandpa's sense if cooking, or lack there of.
Looking up, Ben smiled at one of the best parts of camping: a bright starry night.
Oh look, a shooting star. Wait a minute, thatsba pretty big shooting star "oh cool a shooting star!" Oh God Ben doesn't notice it!
"Hold on.. it kinda looks like it's coming right for... WOAH!" Ben started and jumped to the side as the 'shooting star' came crashing down.
Slowly getting up, Ben walked over to the crash and saw what he thought looked like a satellite. Kid that's a metal ball, not a satellite.
The ball opened up with a hissing noise and revealed some sorta of watch like device that was glowing Fuchsia
The edge of the crater crumbled, causing Ben to stumble into the crash site with a yelp.
As he got up, he decided to take a closer look at the watch.
"Woah.." he muttered, his eyes mesmerized as he moved his had closer.
Suddenly, the watch jumped up and latched itself around Bens left wrist
"Ahh! Get it off! Get it off!!" He screened, waving his arm around speratically.
After a good 10 minutes of trying over and over to get the thing off, even resorting to using a particularly sturdy stick to pry it off (spoiler alert, the stock snapped) Ben decided to sit down and calmly observe it.
The watch was mainly black with grey highlights, but it also had a big pink button. FYI, every time I say pink or purple and it has something to do with the watch, I mean Fuchsia.
The watch plate itself was a pattern of two hearts, each inverted at the bottom point to face away from each other.
Pressing the button, the panel slid upwards to Ben's surprise.
"The color's lame, but this thing is cool.." he said, looking at the dial like panel. It now only displayed one heart, with a humanoid figure's silhouette inside it.
Deciding that there was no reason not to, Ben pushed the dial back down, releasing a flash of pink light, forcing him to cover his eyes.
Looking around, Ben was dejected to realize nothing had happened. Turning around with closed eyes, Ben ended up slamming his face into two soft yet warm cushions, causing him to stagger back.
Opening his eyes, he came face to face with a tall, valuptuous woman made entirely of fire and magma, with a grey collar on her neck.
Well hello there~ you must be my new maste-" her words were cut off by Ben's screaming
"Ahhhh!!!"
