Chapter Text
Long ago,
Two races ruled the land.
Humans and monsters.
One day, war broke out.
The humans sealed the monsters
Deep underground.

We see our lovable Loli protagonist roaming Ebott City, looking for adventure. This is Frisk. She has chestnut hair and blue eyes. Her skin looks orange and that's the way it's always been.
Frisk is an adventurous little girl, always looking for her next fix. She heard about Mt. Ebott, the forbidden mountain that several people have ascended, yet none return. At least, not alone. For some reason, the mountain only spirits away those who travel its perilous paths alone.
But, for Frisk, that just makes it even more tempting to do. The taboo, the danger! That's what Frisk wants in adventure! It's new! It's a thrill! It's why she intentionally goes to places people think are dangerous!
Like alleys. And, near that old guy under the bridge. Now, THAT one was a disappointment. Dude was just a kind dude who got mean dudes mad at him. Meh, can't have 'em all.
Point is, Frisk really wants to go up that mountain alone. But, sadly, she can't risk it. Frisk can't leave her mother behind.
Frisk hears her mother leaving. “Mommy?” Frisk asks. “Where are you going?”
The mother looks at Frisk in clear disdain, but it's only there for a moment. In the next, her mother's smile is back. “Mommy has to go away for a bit. Keep the house clean and wait for me, okay Sweetie?”
Frisk nods. Somewhere deep down, she knows her mom is lying. She always smiles when she lies to Frisk. But, Frisk won't stop her mom from having her own adventure. Adventures are very important, after all!
Instead, Frisk starts planning how to survive the next few days. This, too, is an adventure, in its own way.
*****
On the second day, strange people came into Frisk's home. They were searching for someone, but Frisk is the only one here now. This is fine. Frisk has plenty of places to hide. Everything is fine.
On the third day, the lights go out. The water doesn't come out of the sinks anymore. That's fine, there's a stream not far from the house. Frisk can use that instead. Everything is fine.
On the fifth day, a storm hits. Lightning strikes the house and blasts a good chunk off of the roof. That's fine. Frisk can sleep in a different room, one without a big hole in the ceiling. Everything is fine.
On the seventh day, Frisk notices that her food rations are almost used up. That's… not fine. Frisk NEEDS food, she NEEDS to eat. But, no food means nothing to eat. Nothing to eat means Frisk is going to starve to death. Everything. Isn't. Fine.
This isn't fine…
This isn't fine, this isn't fine, this isn't fine!
This isn't fine! This isn't fine! This isn't fine! This isn't fine! This isn't fine! This isn't fine!
NOTHING IS FINE!!!
“What… am I gonna do?” Frisk asks herself. The only thing she knows is adventure, not survival. Not independence. So, what can Frisk do now?
Then, Frisk remembers. The taboo place. The forbidden mountain. Mt. Ebott. If Frisk is going to die anyway, why not die doing what she loves? It's the perfect place for one last adventure.
So, Frisk grabs some snacks for the road. A few packs of peanuts and her trusty canteen. “Wait for me, Mt. Ebott! I'm coming!”
*****
Frisk is tired, stubbornly climbing up the mountain. She isn't going to quit! She is going to see! She -
Frisk spots someone else. This person looks like they're around her age. But, their chest lumps are huge! Way bigger than Mom's! Frisk tries to get closer, but the other person walks off.
Now even more curious about it, Frisk follows them and finds a path up the mountain. However, the other person disappeared. “Huh? Where did she go?” Frisk asks, looking around.
It's frustrating, but Frisk has to continue her last adventure. She follows the trail higher up the mountain. After an hour or so, Frisk sees that other kid again. She sees the kid with super huge chest lumps walk off the path before disappearing like before.
Frisk's curious nature gets the better of her. She follows the mystery kid again and comes across a cave. At the end of the cave is a pitfall. And, on the other side of that pitfall? There they are. The mystery kid Frisk was chasing is just sitting there, waiting.
Frisk approaches, trying not to let the mystery kid disappear again. “Wait, please!” Frisk pleads. The girl winks. Then, they let themself fall. “No!”
Frisk runs up to the hole. It's… like an abyss. Frisk is… curious. She wants to know, she HAS to know! What is down there that's so important to the mystery kid? Why would they jump down there? And… there is only one way to find out.
Frisk jumps…

Frisk lands in a pitch black abyss. In front of her is a broken mask and floating hands with holes in them. “Ah, another one.” the mask says. He gestures to the doors around the two. “Pick one.”
Frisk looks around. She checks the doors out one by one. “Underfell, underlust, storyswap…” Then, Frisk notices that same mystery kid again. They're staring at a specific door. Frisk walks over to ask her question, but the kid walks through the door.
Frisk looks up at the door. “Undertale 34?” Once again, curiosity and her adventurous spirit take control. What's inside this door? Why this door? Frisk NEEDS to know. Again, only one way to find out.
Frisk opens the door. She meets the mysterious kid that she’s been chasing, finally getting her answers. “Hello!” Frisk greets.
The kid turns around, finally giving Frisk a good look at her. “Greetings. I… didn’t expect you to follow me here.” The mysterious kid gives a bow, somehow unhampered by the huge lumps on that small chest. “Greetings, I am Character of Underground Model 34-F. My friends called me Chara.”
“Hi, I’m Frisk!” Frisk introduces herself. “I’ve been wanting to ask you something for a while now. I’ve been chasing you all over the mountain, but you kept disappearing and now I’m too curious!”
“Interesting.” Chara says. “What could be so important that you would come to such a debaucherous place, I wonder?”
“Dechasrus?” Frisk wonders, before snapping back to her important question. “Nevermind, I gotta know!” After a pause for dramatic effect, Frisk asks the big question. “Are you a boy or a girl?”
Chara blinks once. Then, twice. They hold up their chest lumps with great effort and let the lumps fall again. “I think it should be obvious that I’m a girl.”
Frisk tilts her head. “Why do chest lumps make you a girl?”
“You’ll figure that out soon enough.” Chara says. She walks up to Frisk and holds out a pink vial. “Drink this, It’ll help you adjust.”
Frisk, ever the curious one, drinks the potion out of pure curiosity. Then, she asks, “Adjust to what?”
But, before Chara can answer, Frisk falls again. She hits her head and loses a lot of her memories.
