Chapter Text
Checking the hanging clock on the wall opposite him, Felix sighs yet again, furrowing his brows as he looks back at his hands. The slim digits he sees are covered in black dust from charcoal sticks he's been using for the last two hours, but no smudging keeps them clean long enough.
The drawing in front is the last piece of his new collection, but Felix muses over something missing. He's been over this piece the longest, and even with adding some accessories, the drawing does not come to life, like his previous ones.
Dropping his head back, Felix groans as his muscles squeak from being jammed together for too long, stretching his arms up as well. It's already half past two in the morning, but he's so close to finishing — the last sparks of inspiration bubbling over.
He just needs to take a breather for a second; the picture is losing its focus as he's been staring at it for too long. Just as he stands up to fetch some water from the adjacent kitchen, the door swings open with a newcomer.
"Jesus, you scared me!" Felix almost drops the mug from his hands, checking his pulse as Hyunjin shakes the jacket off to the closest armchair. He's holding a massive pile of magazines in both arms, chuckling as Felix sips the water to calm down. He thought he was alone in the building, after all.
"I've been called worse, I guess."
"Blasphemy," Felix comments offhandedly, sitting down, already picking the top magazine from Hyunjin's hands. "Hey, I could use some help here," but Taller gets ignored as Felix flips through the pages, not interested. The rest of the pile gets dropped down in front of him, rather unceremoniously.
"What are these for, anyway? Some of these are a couple of years old." Felix goes through the pile as the paper spreads out, glancing up to see Hyunjin dropping across the table in the matching chair. He huffs the hair out of his eyes and picks a couple of issues as well.
"I need to research for a new photoshoot."
Felix only hums, reaching for the next issue closest to him. He's been informed about their new commission, but Hyunjin hasn't disclosed any particular details, only that it is for a good cause. And a hefty paycheck.
They've been working together for the past two years, Felix and Hyunjin, starting a small local photography slash model studio that soon gained popularity outside of their community, too. The work was simple for the most part, both of them working alongside some of the more recent colleagues in creating what Hyunjin called "masterpieces".
They were far from being perfect, even in their respective niche, but Felix liked to think they truly were creating masterpieces in their sense. Professionalism was a must, but they had enough creative control to think outside the box and hone their skills with time.
While Hyunjin was behind the camera, capturing every angle and position with his trained eye and expensive equipment, Felix was working behind the scenes. He grew up with two older sisters who loved to dress him up in every piece of clothing they deemed cute enough, so his love for fashion blossomed naturally.
And even though he was still a long way from being critically acclaimed by those he admired and took inspiration from, Felix was glad to muster his skills with each new job, filling up his portfolio steadily.
Just as Hyunjin pushes a piece of magazine under his nose does Felix finally finishes the last sketch, buffing out edges with his ring finger. "What about it?" He stops to ask, glancing between the spread of colorful tops and frilly skirts.
"How about this?" When Felix raises his eyebrows, feeling the burn behind his eyes from staring too long at the same piece of paper, Hyunjin chuckles, adding. "For our photoshoot, remember?"
"It's cute," Felix looks down, admiring the mismatched pieces of fabric that somehow work together on generic, but pretty models. The pieces go from dark brown to pastel yellow and pink, but Felix focuses on a piece of deep red, almost burgundy, knife-pleated skirt that reaches the model's mid-thigh. "But who are we dressing up and why?"
"Firefighters."
Felix blanches, looking back at the spreadsheet. "Female firefighters?"
Hyunjin shakes his head, pulling the magazine back to his hands, as he rips the two pages from the glued spine. He tucks them into his make-shift idea folder and flips to the end of the issues. "Nope," He pops the 'p' as Felix looks back at him, visibly confused.
"Oh, lighten up, you're gonna love it!"
***
The problem of loving it or not is not the biggest focus at the moment. Other than haphazardly trying to gather enough materials and finished pieces to prepare for the photoshoot, Felix doesn't get to think about it for too long.
It's one thing to design, sew, and patch every piece of clothing for women, but it's a completely different struggle to finish everything for males. Felix learns it the hard way, because tank tops and skirts usually come in standard women's sizes, not suitable for bulged-up and muscular men.
But Hyunjin tells him not to worry too much about the deadline as the focus of the shoot is a local fire station collecting money for a charity of their choice, and they are not in a hurry to finish everything right away. Felix doesn't know how frilly skirts equal money for the animal shelter in question, but he can't afford to think too much about it, not working great under self-made pressure.
By the end of the month, everything is ready in Felix's humble opinion, as he checks the outfits once again with his small but capable team. The last preparations are in check, and Felix blooms with pride when he stops to breathe and admire his latest work.
The collection is small, only a handful of put-together mannequins, but Felix is proud nonetheless, already having some snapped pictures in his phone for later use.
True to Hyunjin's vision, Felix took inspiration from a couple more magazines with similar collections, but added some of his touches to each piece. As the mannequins line up the wall to his left, he looks ahead, counting down each accessory, nodding as he ticks off the pieces from his imaginary list.
The fire-station crew is soon to arrive, as Hyunjin has been setting up his part of the work in the main studio, adjacent to his workstation. He hears Hyunjin's assistant Yeji yelling for the lights on the east side to be switched on, before repeating the same for the west side as well.
But he doesn't dwell too long as his team finishes up.
"Where is the yellow waist corset?" Felix hears his assistant Lia asking from the other corner of the room, adding up the last details on a somewhat modest outfit. "Here," Yuna bubbles up from the pile of silk and cotton scrap materials, just as Yeji drops by to inform them of the crew arriving.
"They are all smoking," She comments as Felix hurries to tidy up everything, allowing his nerves to bubble up. The work doesn't get any easier with time, even with Felix's experience, as he still feels nervous about the outcome. Maybe these outfits were too much, he briefly wonders, as not every man is comfortable jumping into high-waisted pants and silky dresses, but Hyunjin has already checked everything with the captain of the fire-station, reassuring Felix that his crew was all on board.
"Smoking?" Yuna pips in as Felix guides her to attach the last piece of deep-purple blazer to a similar-in-color velvet slip dress. They all gather as Yeji looks behind the door, winking as she turns. "As in hot, smoking hot,"
"Gross," Lia comments offhandedly, earning a snicker from Felix.
"Okay, I have to admit that this was more demanding than everything we have ever done," Felix starts slowly, just as Yeji leaves them be, going back to her job. She has a folder in her hands, with printed-out names, presumably of the fire crew. Felix doesn't dwell on the names for too long and looks back at his small but valuable crew. "But we pulled through successfully. I hope you are proud of yourself, as I am of you! And I hope they don't chew my head off when we dress them up,"
Both Lia and Yuna snicker at that, with Lia adding. "You're always sappy when we finish," And Felix can't help it — they help a lot more than they give out, and yes, it's their job, but both Hyunjin and Felix are so thankful for their crew and all of their hard work. Felix is certain he wouldn't be able to put everything together, both in time and functionality. So he nods just as somebody calls for him from the other side of the wall.
"Yeah?" He leaves Lia and Yuna as they tidy up, even without anything else to add, and goes out to the studio. The lights are a lot less dimmer than before, with some colorful lenses dropping down on both sides of the make-shift podium in the middle. He can see Ryujin and Chaeryeong maneuvering some massive potted plants on either side of the differently leveled white blocks that make up the podium, and looks ahead to where Hyunjin is standing.
"Hi," He greets when he's in earshot, both men turning around. "Ah, Felix, let me introduce you. This is the Captain of the crew, Bang Chan."
"You can just call me Chan, hey." Chan reaches out to shake his hand, dropping it after a polite second. "And you must be the mastermind behind the outfits."
Felix chuckles at that, feeling lighter as he gets reminded that Chan's crew is all okay with his designs. "I wouldn't say mastermind, but yeah, I'm Felix."
"The best in the business, the amazing, show-stopping designer that everyone would be envious of—" Felix elbows him to stop talking because Hyunjin is always selling him for too much, but Chan only laughs, nodding along to everything said.
"Thank you for accepting our offer on such short notice. We weren't sure if you felt comfortable enough to prepare everything so soon, but I'm happy you could work it out in the end. I hope our shoot is a success," He smiles a wide, dimpled smile, looking between both of them, and Felix finally relaxes.
Chan seems like a polite, down-to-earth guy, and he only wishes the rest of the crew were the same. When he excuses himself and walks back to his crew members, Hyunjin dreamily sighs. "He's also my future husband."
Felix can only snicker at that, looking ahead to where Chan goes to join five other firefighters currently relaxing on a pair of sofas in their designated waiting area. "I thought there would be more of them," He comments as Hyunjin leans on him, looking left and right. "There should've been ten, but Chan said that not everyone felt comfortable going through the shoot."
That doesn't sit well with Felix, but he doesn't comment on it as Hyunjin continues. "He assured me that he brought only the best, though. So don't overthink."
Felix goes back to his work station, praising his team once again, just as Chan knocks on the door. "Hey, sorry, Hyujin said we can start with the makeup."
"Right, this way," Lia calls for his attention as she goes behind one of the three chairs they have piled up on the other side of the room. There are big enough mirrors to watch the whole room when you sit down, and makeup products for every occasion, look, and need possible.
Chan nods and enters with two other males behind. He goes to the first chair where Yuna is waiting, politely introducing himself as he sits down. The tallest of them all walks to the middle, where Lia waits, repeating his name just as Lia welcomes him in. "Nice to meet you, Seungmin. Do you have any allergies, perhaps?"
Felix misses when Seungmin shakes his head, nodding to whatever Lia suggests, as he looks at the last man to enter, welcoming him as he sits down in the last chair. "Hey, I'm Felix, nice to meet you,"
The man looks up just as Felix smiles, staring for a second before clearing his throat. "Changbin," He nods to himself again, stealing a glance at Felix as the still-standing male goes around him to the other side. He asks the same regular questions about his allergies, sensitivities, and limitations when it comes to certain colors and particular makeup, nodding to everything Changbin answers. They are all short, polite answers, but Felix doesn't mind.
Felix turns his back to the other two chairs, standing on Changbin's left side as he usually works with his right hand, getting comfortable with the angles necessary. They don't want to go overboard with the makeup for today, only adding some light concealer and sprinkling shadows to enhance the colorful outfits.
This part of the work doesn't require professionals, so Felix and his crew are well-equipped to finish without any heavy work or complicated looks. Bang Chan is the first one to stand up, admiring his smoked-out eyes and a light gloss over his lips, as he thanks Yuna for her hard work.
Felix doesn't glance up from smearing some of the purple, iridescent highlighter over Changbin's high cheekbones, admiring his work for a minute. Changbin only glances up at him, focusing back on his image in the mirror, seemingly out of place. Until he looks up to Felix once again, when the taller chuckles softly.
"Are you okay? Is this too much for you?" Felix asks, turning to watch his reflection as Changbin ponders. The light catches his cheek for a second, glowing underneath the artificial bulb, and Felix hums satisfied. "I can wipe it off if you don't feel—"
"No!" Changbin cuts him off, shifting in his seat for a bit, still looking uncomfortable. Until Felix drops the highlighter down, grabbing his shoulder for comfort when he turns around. He does it unconsciously, but Changbin's stiffening doesn't put him out.
"Talk to me, I don't want to make you uncomfortable," Felix looks between his big, round eyes as he talks, finding the glare of the vanity lights in the corners too distracting. His eyes shine as Felix waits — two big chocolate pebbles staring back.
Changbin luckily huffs out, closing his eyes as Felix drops his hand. "It's not..." He shakes his head, collecting his thoughts. "It's just..."
Felix hears Seungmin moving with Lia behind him, thanking her in a similar way as Chan did, before they move away to join their colleagues in picking the first outfits.
"I don't think I suit... all of this."
Felix blinks. "What do you mean? Do you want to quit?"
"No, no," Changbin blanches, lowering his voice as Chan and Seungmin look over to the outburst. "It's for a good cause, and I'm already here."
Felix nods but doesn't move to pick any more products. He feels awfully put out because of the firefighter's comment, feeling certain that not everyone was 'on board' as Chan assured. He should've known; some of the outfits were too much, and adding makeup to the mix is certainly making Changbin uncomfortable.
"I don't want to pressure you into anything. I think it's better to maybe quit, and talk to your Captain about it—"
"I'm not pretty enough to wear makeup." Changbin suddenly says, halting his next word. Felix can only blink, weighing his words. "I'm not pretty like you," The sitting male looks up, catching Felix unprepared. "You probably look amazing with makeup, but I..." He trails off, not bearing to look at Felix anymore as he lays it out, too self-conscious all of a sudden.
And Felix finally understands. He doesn't know how to approach the subject since they are still practically strangers, but he turns around to pull the closest chair, sitting down gradually. "What makes you think that?"
Felix misses Chan, leaving the room dressed in the first outfit for the day — dark blue high-waisted pants and a peacock silky shirt tucked in, with healed boots peeking underneath — as he waits for Changbin to answer. He feels understanding somehow, as men, especially strong, buff firefighters, don't hear they are pretty often.
But when Felix looks at the other one, he finds him inexplicably endearing. His cheekbones are still dusted with the prettiest purple, enhancing his bone structure whenever Changbin turns or speaks, only adding to his handsome face. His eyes are big and honest, warm in the light when he glances at Felix from time to time, making him nervous all of a sudden. Changbin scrunches his long, broad nose whenever he thinks about what else to say, and Felix really should focus on whatever the man is talking about, but he can't help it.
When he really looks at him, Felix thinks about all the makeup that he can put on his face and then wipe it off because he's naturally handsome, not needing too much, with straight lines and pretty curves. His unruly, curly hair gathers around his face, some strands dropping down and covering his forehead, and Felix feels a burning desire to push the strands off.
Changbin lifts a corner of his lips when he looks ahead, and Felix's eyes finally drop down to his small but plump lips, which pudge cutely when Changbin enunciates the next word.
"... And that's how I got myself into this, but—"
"You are beautiful." He finally says, breaking off Changbin's train of thought. And he wishes it to come across as the most honest remark ever because Felix truly believes it. So when their eyes meet, he doesn't blink, hoping that Changbin sees the sincerity.
When he doesn't get a comment back, Felix goes to stand behind him, finding his big brown eyes in the reflection before him. "I don't say this just to reassure you, but I am really honest. Ask anyone — I can't lie." Felix chuckles as Changbin blinks, really trying to see the honesty in his words.
Felix's hands are warm on his shoulders as he straightens up, grabbing a smaller eyeshadow palette. "I wanted to just put a highlighter and call it a day, but now I want to do more. You deserve it." Their eyes meet when Felix rounds the chair to stand beside him, waiting for approval, which he gets in a couple of seconds as Changbin silently nods, turning to look at his reflection.
"Perfect," He beams as the chairs next to them are filled with the remaining crew, Felix vaguely hearing the names 'Minho' and 'Jeongin' dropping around. Instead, he focuses on Changbin, realizing that they are taking more time than necessary, but he doesn't want to rush anything.
Lia is done with Jeongin as the last member of the crew enters and sits down to get his makeup done. "Chan-hyung is wearing lip gloss, but I want something more," He beams when Lia raises her eyebrows at the statement, chuckling when the man practically bounces on his seat.
"Calm down, Jisung. You need to sit still," Minho corrects him as Lia picks up a clean concealer brush, aligning underneath his eyes first.
"You can do whatever you want," Jisung starts again, as Felix adds the final touch to Changbin's right eye, moving away to admire his work. He doesn't miss the way Changbin blinks up to him, smiling softly as he continues. His eyes are so soft. "You can add whatever color you want, and there's something I always wanted to try—" Jisung squirms as he lists the potential products he wishes to try, making both Minho and Lia chuckle.
"Again, relax. You're not making it easier for anyone," Minho muses, thanking Yuna when she pushes the light orange lipstick over his bottom lip for the last time.
"Done," Felix moves away when he finishes the other eye, admiring his work. He's a bit biased since he was the one to put Changbin in makeup, but he can't lie and say the other doesn't look amazing. But before Changbin can look at his reflection, Felix pulls him back, lining up the glosses and lipstick he has at hand.
"I can put some light gloss over your lips," Felix glances down at the said lips, looking at them for a second too long. The plumpness seems blushed already, probably from Changbin's mulling over them for too long, but Felix wants to enhance them even more. "Or maybe I could use some deeper color?"
Changbin glances between his eyes, before smiling softly, pulling at the bottom lip with his teeth. He probably does it unconsciously, but Felix is still enthralled to watch the plumpness snap back in place. "I trust you. Make me pretty, Felix."
And Felix does. Not that Changbin needs it, but he eventually nods, taking a clean brush along with his favorite lipstick. It would look perfect, Felix muses as Changbin parts his lips just the way he's supposed to, looking up to Felix as he bends over. "This is not your first lipstick."
Changbin chuckles, quickly relaxing his face when Felix starts in the middle of the plumpness, smearing a cream lipstick over his bottom lip. It smells faintly of berries and vanilla mixed, and Changbin really likes it. "I have an older sister," He quickly comments, focusing on Felix's face, especially the furrow of his eyebrows as he concentrates.
"And she has never told you how beautiful you are?" Felix glances at his imploring eyes, not bearing to keep eye contact this close for too long. Changbin hums, answering when Felix moves to reapply the lipstick on the tip of the brush. "She's the pretty one in our family."
Felix doesn't agree. Not when he turns to leave the lipstick at the station, finally moving so Changbin can take a look at his reflection. "She's not the only one."
Their eyes meet in the lighted reflection, Changbin's cheeks dusting underneath the highlighter. He quickly thanks Felix for everything as Lia calls for his attention, with an outfit ready. He's the last one to get dressed, as Chan comes back to change into something else.
"Wow, Bin!" He exclaims when Changbin stands up, patting him on the shoulder. "You look..."
"Beautiful?" Felix pips up, not missing when Changbin grabs at his red ear out of embarrassment.
"I wouldn't have said that, but now that you mentioned — yes," Chan chuckles as he goes to Lia's assistance, taking off his pants first. She already has another outfit ready for him to put on, dropping Changbin's when Felix nods that he will take over.
Changbin turns to Felix when the taller one — Felix recognizes their height difference now that Changbin stands, seemingly lost as he looks between various patterns and fun colors still hanging off mannequins — beckons him closer.
"Do you feel uncomfortable with any piece of clothing?" Felix asks first, beaming when Changbin shakes his head. "Really? You can be honest with me,"
"I like my body," Changbin comments, bluffing a bit when Felix takes a long and hard look beneath, clearly admiring what he sees. "I see," He comments curtly, turning around to gather his thoughts.
And it's a body to admire. Felix thinks about what to start him with, but opts for something light to break the ice. "You can change there," He points to the corner where they have two changing rooms lined up, for anyone's privacy - always thinking about the comfort and peace of their models.
But Changbin surprises him, as the shorter takes the hem of his shirt, pulling the fabric over his head. "I'm okay with changing here, if that's okay with you?"
And goddammit, Felix must've done something really good and admirable in his past life, because he's more than okay. But finding the appropriate words is too much, so he just nods, pushing the shirt over Changbin's toned, muscular body when he almost gets stuck in the tight opening, mindful of his makeup.
The sheer, lacey shirt in the deepest blue doesn't leave anything to the imagination as it barely covers enough of Changbin's chest to be considered a full-on shirt. But Felix tries not to think about his chest for too long, already turning around to pick the matching pants. He doesn't get the wide-legged pants Chan wore or an asymmetrical skirt that Jeongin walks back in, ready to change into something else. But rather a slimmer, more toned-down version of his favorite shorts in a similar color.
As he pinches the top button of his jeans to take them off, Felix turns around quickly, giving him at least some privacy. He hears Changbin chuckling behind, as the jeans material rustles being taken down. "I'm done," The shorter adds, picking up the shoes that Felix points at. "You can go out if you're ready."
Changbin nods, but before leaving, stops in front of the mirror to check his reflection. "Whoa," Felix hears spilling from his lips, smiling softly as Changbin twirls around to see how his broad back tightens the see-through material deliciously. "What about my hair?"
The hair in question is still unruly at the top of his head, without any thought put into it. Felix looks between his hair and eyes, dropping the random fabric from his hands to step closer. "I can straighten it..." He starts as he stands in front of Changbin, unconsciously reaching out to card his fingers through the curls. Nobody stops him, so Felix continues, not realizing how close they are standing.
But he can't help it as Changbin's hair is really soft to the touch, just as he imagined, the curls persistent over his face as he pulls his hand away. "But I like it like this," He glances down to Changbin's face, finding his eyes already staring back. "It suits you."
And he really means it. When he looks at the other, there's this undeniable boyish charm that emanates from his persona. His eyes are honest and warm when he looks up, and Felix should really focus back on his job.
They follow Jeongin out once he changes into a new outfit, finding everyone else lazing around Hyunjin as he takes photos of Jisung. Changbin doesn't walk further than a couple of steps, stopping to see how his colleague poses. "He's a natural," He hears Felix commenting as the latter doesn't take a step further either, opting to stand beside him.
Changbin only hums, eyes getting lost in the photoshoot ahead. "That's it, lower your chin," Hyunjin snaps two more photos, switching angles as he goes. Jisung follows his instructions, smiling softly when Hyunjin passes the space between, capturing a couple of up-close shots.
"Move your leg up, but don't put too much pressure on it. Just relax, you're stepping into the light, slowly, naturally," Hyunjin paints the picture which Jisung follows easily, changing poses as he gets more comfortable.
Felix looks around to find everyone watching the scene unraveling in front, catching Yeji's eyes, who seems pleased with the shoot so far.
"What if I can't pose like that?" Changbin voices his concerns, snapping Felix's eyes back to him. "Jisung has always been more comfortable in front of the lens," Felix muses how Changbin's aware of the professional term, but lets him finish. "Even Minho and Jeongin are more accustomed to cameras and being in the public eye. Chan has to be, since he's the captain and TV interviews are important, but I have never..."
He trails off, clapping for his colleague when Jisung steps off the platform, smiling at everyone's praises. Felix wants to say so much, to clear out his confusion and doubt, but he doesn't get the chance as Hyunjin calls for Changbin next.
"Just do whatever you feel comfortable with. Don't worry about anything and anyone else," Hyunjin beckons him to stand on the lowest platform first, checking with his assistant if the lighting is good. "We can work from there, okay?"
Changbin nods, taking a big gulp of air as Felix steps closer to watch him. He's... glowing. Underneath the artificial lights in various pastel colors, Changbin looks like he belongs right there.
The lights bring out the carefully-crafted makeup, and his outfit is on the more modest side, but he wears it with dignity, strongly and gently, something that is amiss with professional models who are used to clean cuts and foreign materials. And his hair is still the fluffiest, as he pulls his head back, squaring up both shoulders along the way.
Changbin wears the clothes easily, instead, and truthfully — Felix is enticed.
He moves closer to Hyunjin's side, as his friend captures each moment as Changbin moves; the light of the camera breaking the otherwise calm atmosphere. Hyunjin's model at the moment doesn't need much direction as he swiftly changes between poses, looking away as the camera flashes on his side profile, before looking back.
Changbin's probably too blinded by soft lights to notice how the whole studio has stopped talking, focusing on nothing but him. "Amazing, Changbin, you're a natural," Hyunjin adds, moving to the other side as Changbin takes a step up and sits down on a higher block on the platform.
The photographer raves about him with praises as he instructs Yeji to change the lights to something more dimmed, sultry even. Felix's breath catches when Changbin's eyes pierce him for a second, before Hyunjin snaps another photo. The moment is over, but Felix's amassment only grows.
"Look over your shoulders but don't drop them, step over the edge and look ahead— Yes, exactly! Awesome work!" Hyunjin takes the camera wherever he moves, snapping dozens of photos each second. After a couple of minutes, he has to go and change the film — he loves to use more manual cameras that "really give soul to the art," as he once explained — informing Changbin as well.
When he leaves, the rest of his crew starts talking again, some moving back to change into something else, waiting for their next turn. They still have a couple of outfits that could serve the purpose of the shoot.
Ryujin checks the lights, moving some potted plants to other sides, while Chaeryeong watches from afar, giving suggestions on the right placements. They made a simple but clean set for today, and Felix makes sure to give praises where it's due.
All but Felix are busy with something, but he doesn't mind. Changbin is still breathtaking underneath the soft lights in the middle of the podium, so Felix takes the initiative to step closer. He doesn't need to say anything as Changbin assumes he's here to check on his outfit, but Felix stops underneath the high white block, smiling when Changbin raises one eyebrow.
"And you said this is your first time."
The taller, at this moment, snickers when he realizes his words, and pushes the hair out of his eyes. He seems shy, bashful all of a sudden — a whole turn from Changbin just minutes ago. "I can't see much due to the lights," He points upwards for a second, slotting his eyes back to catch Felix's. "I think that helps with the nervousness."
"How can you switch so easily?" When Changbin tilts his head out of confusion, Felix's lips curve slightly as he explains. "Between this shy, cute teddy bear and the professional monster-model,"
"You think I'm cute?"
"Places, everyone!"
Felix moves away, leaving Changbin to be when Hyunjin comes back to continue with the shoot. He seems to be flustered at Felix's words, but the taller one can't be so sure. They don't get to talk as Changbin has to be professional once again, posing with newfound vigor in his steps. Hyunjin praises him some more, before stopping to turn around.
"What if we mix things up?" He looks ahead where Chan is standing, waiting for his next turn, smiling when the shorter raises one eyebrow. "What did you have in mind?"
"Maybe some shots of couples?"
After a couple of minutes, the crew agrees that Hyunjin's idea might work out in their favor, as they switch swiftly to choosing who poses with whom. Chan is left in the middle as they all talk over each other, picking their favorites and listing reasons why they would look good.
"No way! You are taller than me," Jisung complains as Seungmin rolls his eyes and turns to Jeongin instead. "You up for it?"
Jeongin only nods, but before he can say anything, Minho swoops in and takes his arm. "I can't be paired with Jisung! He's gonna talk my ear off." Jisung quips, offended, turning to Seungmin instead. "You're with me!"
"No way," Seungmin is quick in turning around to pluck Jeongin out of two grabby hands, as he pulls away just in time for Hyunjin to call up for him. "Let's go,"
The two youngest make their way to the podium easily, ignoring both Jisung and Minho as the former yells for Seungmin to come back and the latter complains about Jeongin picking favorites.
"Hold your pose, but look to the side, Jeongin. Excellent! Seungmin, lean down a bit, but keep a hand over Jongin's shoulder. Perfect!" Hyunjin is excited about the change, snapping more and more photos as he goes, instructing the two firefighters with ease.
They do look good together, Felix must agree, as Seungmin has a softer expression on his face, matching perfectly with Jeongin's sharp, but deep eyes. He watches them slip into various poses with ease, Hyunjin praising each step, before walking back to his work station.
Some of the crew are still changing into new attire just as Felix walks in, nodding to Minho as he exits. "What about this one?" Felix hears Jisung asking his assistant something, focusing on pushing the already-worn mannequins closer to the wall so they're not in the way. "That's Felix's favorite from this collection."
He steps into the scene just as Lia explains, turning around to welcome him. "Isn't it, Lix?"
Jisung is already dressed head to toe in a satin slip dress in the darkest champagne color; the material hugging his frame in all the right places. He's barefoot underneath, the designer forgoing shoes for this particular piece, as Felix remembers there's a jacket waiting for him to complete the look.
When he looks back at the mannequin, Felix has to laugh. "Ah, yes. That's the first piece I worked on for this collection."
"I wish I could've seen it earlier. It's amazing!" Jisung beams in the passing, Lia following close behind, leaving Felix to admire his set. It's nothing extravagant or over the top, but it's still the piece that inspired this whole collection — Jisung's slip dress as well.
Just as he turns around to offer help to anyone in need, Changbin bumps into him, naked from the waist up. "Whoa, sorry. 'didn't know you would turn around."
"It's okay, don't worry." Felix offers, realizing he's still holding Changbin's forearm to steady himself. "Erm, can I help you with something?"
"I'm not sure what's my next attire."
"Oh, 'attire', fancy." Changbin chuckles at that, watching Felix as the taller turns around to find something they haven't used yet. "What about..." But his eyes stop at the main piece, the gears in Felix's head finally setting in the right motion. "I got it!"
Changbin gets beckoned closer as Felix starts undressing the mannequin, asking if he's okay with it. "I don't see a problem with it. It's kind of cute,"
And Felix has to agree. "It is," But he swallows his words as soon as Changbin steps into the burgundy-red plaid skirt with unhemmed edges and dark, tilted rhomboid details, pulling the material over his toned thighs and black boxers. The skirt is tailored to a man's body, of course, but it seems as if Felix had Changbin's body particularly in mind while making it, because the firefighter slips into it perfectly.
"Let me help you," The designer goes behind Changbin to pull the zipper up over the swell of his ass, and fails miserably to wet his cotton-like mouth. This... this is exactly the purpose of his talent, working hours, and endless nights of drawing and sewing.
Changbin bends down a bit to see where the skirt ends, and jokes about being risky as his boxers are visible from underneath at the right tilt. "Should I add more layers to fill it at the bottom?" Felix asks, just to be sure, but he doesn't want to add anything to the picture-perfect scene in front. Instead, Changbin skims his hand underneath the skirt, pushing his boxers more upwards.
"I don't see why?" Changbin twirls once, amazed at how the material is light enough to follow his movements, raising slightly to show where his boxers end, but firm at the same time, dropping down instantly when he stops. The skirt reaches a couple of inches down from the dips where his legs meet the rest of his body, just at the middle of his thigh.
"I like it," He nods once again, pulling the skirt up more to his waist. "I feel really cute."
And Felix should really say something. Anything! Changbin looks the cutest!
But he also looks like Felix's hell personified, and he's busy drooling and kicking himself in the head for making the perfect torture material for his poor, poor heart.
"... Is there something wrong?"
God, no! "No, no. Of course not! Let's... Let's..."
"Dress me fully?" Changbin snickers at Felix's red cheeks and heaved breathing, glancing down between the skirt of his choice and the designer behind it.
"Yes! Of course!" The said man turns away from the image of his wettest dreams, blinking a couple of times to focus. The skirt is paired with a black ruffled, tulle blouse, and Felix doesn't want to help Changbin put it on.
Luckily, he doesn't need much assistance, as the curly hair peaks as soon as Felix hands him the garment to put it on. The blouse is a simple one, just adding the final touch to the skirt, the material ruffling at the wrists, giving the sleeves a balloon-like inflation — despite Changbin's impressive arm muscles, and three buttons at the top, which stay unbuttoned as Changbin pulls the strings around his neck to the front.
"Is this good?"
Felix seems dazed. "More than good..." He trails off, not believing that his vision can look even better than everything he could draw or think about. This is marvelous, even for his taste.
"Are we doing knee-length boots, stockings, or just shoes?" Lia asks as soon as Changbin steps into the open, glancing up to her boss. Felix painfully short-circuits when Changbin nods to stockings, commenting about never wearing them before, but always wishing to try them.
When Lia thanks him for cooperation and leaves them be is then Felix finally dies and ascends to his personal heaven. The shorter goes back to picking the right stockings, carefully putting them on over firm calves and even thicker thighs.
Felix stays behind to wait just as Changbin steps out in fishnet, thigh-high stockings with little red bows pinned to the elastic hem — stopping just below the already picture-perfect skirt. The whole outfit is finished with a pair of chunky heeled ankle boots in the same color as the blouse.
"Wow, I'm taller than you now."
Felix should focus!
"Okay, who's next? Whoa! Changbin!" The whole room stops whatever they were doing when the duo steps out of the changing room, everyone focusing on the taller one. "I didn't know Felix meant the look for you."
"I don't think he did," Changbin chuckles as he steps up to the platform, grinning bashfully when Minho and Jisung step off, finished with their 'shoot. "I didn't know you had legs like that!" Jisung sends back after Minho wolf whistles, going back to the rest of the crew.
"I didn't actually," When Hyunjin looks back at his colleague, Felix seems dazed and confused, standing in the middle of the room like a lost child. He tilts his head when Felix doesn't respond after being called, and steps closer to check on him. "Hey, everything okay?"
Felix just stares ahead, shaking his head slowly. "I think I'm in love,"
Hyunjin leaves him be, chuckling to himself as he goes. "Okay, Changbin!" That gets both of them out of daze, as Hyunjin takes his camera back. "Work your magic."
***
"Okay, this isn't working. Sorry, boys." Both Chan and Changbin turn around on Hyunjin's words, glancing at each other, confused. "Your chemistry is amazing, but I need more." He drops his camera down, rounding the platforms as he explains, looking up to his gorgeous models. "Minho had that cool, distant aura around him, while Jisung seeped through his cracks and added an extra layer of comfort and warmth to his base."
"I did?"
"And you can tell their chemistry was amazing — they fit together like misused puzzles with rough edges but a perfect match no matter how you turn them."
"Wow, we do?" Minho looks back at the equally confused Jisung, and they all hear Jeongin chuckling from behind. Hyunjin continues.
"But with you two..." He looks between them, sighing. "I got nothing," the exasperated sigh falls easily off his lips. "You look too... brotherly,"
"Umm, we are related, though?" Chan offers, surprising both Hyunjin and Felix.
"You are?!"
"Our moms are sisters." Changbin chuckles, scratching at his neck out of the logistics of it all.
"Well, that explains everything!" Hyunjin laughs, clapping his hands as he looks around for something to spark his creativity. "We then need a change of partner, if you all agree." Cousins on the platform nod, with Chan stepping down as Changbin has yet to finish his portion.
"You all had your turn," Hyunjin starts, squinting his eyes in the thought that follows. "And we need someone with good chemistry with Changbinnie." The crew all look at each other, but there's nothing but brotherly love between them and the main model at the moment.
Hyunjin sees that as well, but he really shouldn't be doing what he does next. "I know! How about Felix!"
"Me?!" The called man blanches, wide-eyed and caught in not even thinking about it. "What? How? I'm just a designer."
"Lix, if anyone's aware of your model abilities, it's me," And Hyunjin has a point, because Felix used to model for him at the beginning, when they both needed some experience to start their dreams. Hyunjin would photograph, Felix would design and model his pieces, and soon their portfolios filled enough for the business to blossom.
But Felix hasn't done it in years, and he really shouldn't interfere with Chan's crew; after all, this is their photoshoot and they paid good bucks to be here today.
"I'm okay with it," Just as he started spiraling, Chan interferes, nodding along with his crew. "We all are."
"But, I'm not a part of your team, and besides—"
"We don't see a problem with it," Chan looks ahead to a very silent Changbin, checking his reaction. "Changbin needs a partner for this part, and you seem to be the perfect pair."
"But I'm not—" Felix trails off, glancing up to see a timid, almost shy Changbin, looking as gorgeous as ever in his main piece, obviously gauging his reaction. Felix swallows down butterflies collecting in his stomach and nods after a big inhale.
"Fine! But I'm choosing what to wear!"
Hyunjin high-fives Chan in glee and sends him off to the changing room.
In the meantime, they rearrange some furniture around, bringing a sofa from the waiting area to the podium — with the help of strong firemen that nobody stays indifferent to — setting it up in the middle. Chaeryeong works her magic with the lights, adding more colorful but dimmed down hues to the back wall, behind the sofa, as the podium stays void of any harsh glares.
They all wait for Felix to come out, and when he does, he's dressed in a sleeveless, chiffon turtleneck in eggshell white color, almost see-through at certain angles, paired with wide-legged trousers in black. His hair is swept up away from his face, which has some of the makeup the rest of the crew is wearing, but not too much.
Hyunjin is glad he avoided putting on foundation, leaving his freckles on full display, as Felix passes him to the podium, glaring as he goes. There's light shimmer on his eyelids, a nude lipstick barely visible in this atmosphere, and the right parts of his face highlighted in the same shade as Changbin's cheeks.
They look like a dream together, Hyunjin concludes, and he's really glad for his masterful mind.
"Okay, let's see. Felix, you can sit down on the left, yup! Perfect. And Changbin, go and stand behind the sofa, please." He snaps a picture or two, his models not interacting with each other much. Hyunjin needs some edge.
"Let's do something else... Could you please stand closer to Lix, Changbin?" The man in question nods, moving behind Felix, but not yet touching anything. "Put your right hand behind him on the back of the sofa, and Lix, cross your legs, please."
A couple more snaps, the light from the camera blinding them as he goes, changing the angles. But he needs more. "Changbin?"
"Yeah?"
"Sit on the armrest."
Changbin looks between the two sides of the sofa, but realizes which armrest Hyunjin meant, so he goes around to Felix's right, sitting down awkwardly. He doesn't know how to sit down in a skirt and not turn his back to Felix, so Hyunjin guides him around until he's looking ahead, one leg slightly raised over the armrest. "Perfect, thanks."
Felix gulps down while Hyunjin snaps more photos, counting his breaths and remembering to keep his face neutral, as Hyunjin makes it harder for him with each pose. The next one puts Changbin's leg closer to him and his field of vision, and the skirt skims up a bit too much for his comfort as Changbin has his leg bent and the shin down on the sofa, with his thigh exposed.
"Now, can I ask something more risky from you?"
"Please don't!" Felix thinks as Hyunjin gets an affirmative nod from Changbin, already turning him around for another pose. "Lower your body, but keep your behind up and straight. Can you extend your other leg behind you? Try not to flex it too much, as we need the graceful slope. That's it, great! Thank you, Bin!" Hyunjin beams as Changbin tries to keep his pose, pushing the skirt down and over his exposed flesh.
Felix isn't breathing anymore, he's sure.
Changbin keeps his legs as Hyunjin had asked, kneeling with his left one on the armrest, almost touching Felix with it. The skirt falls gracefully as he extends the right leg until his toes touch the floor, trying to keep up with every muscle as he poses.
Felix hasn't been moved yet, but he already has an idea for the next pose — in hell!
"Wow, you look like a ballerina, Bin," Chan watches from Hyunjin's side, admiring the dedication he has for this shoot and how kindly his models get treated. Changbin only lifts the right side of his lips on the comment, tilting his head as Hyunjin snaps more photos.
"I don't know how much longer I could hold, though." He's using his core muscles to keep the position, as he can't really lean on the extended leg that much.
"Okay, I have more ideas, don't worry."
Felix mentally facepalms.
… He was wrong. This is his hell.
"Sorry, I kind of had to touch—"
"Don't worry," Felix is sweating, smiling through the pain as Hyunjin — oh, soon-to-be-dead Hyunjin—ushers Changbin to throw his right leg over Felix's lap instead, still kneeling on the armrest with his left. This position leaves Felix with a lap full of Changbin's toned, firm, drool-inducing thigh, covered with fishnet stockings that still have that goddamn pretty bow on the elastic top, right where his skirt hikes up.
The sliver of skin between is enough to fuel all of Felix's future, past, and present dreams.
Hyunjin is, certainly, one-hundredth percent deceased.
"Ah, a family photo. How cute," Hyunjin's comment makes the crew laugh out loud, as he feigns obliviousness and snaps more photos. "Felix, don't be shy, baby."
When they don't move, he takes the camera away from his face, still keeping his position, and adds. "Could he touch your leg, Changbin?"
"I.. Um.. Y-yeah, I don't—" The adorable mess stutters at the suggestion, and Felix can physically feel his cheeks burning with the intensity of everything. "Hyunjin, that's pushing it too far—"
"But Lix! Think of the dogs! Oh my God, the dogs!!" Felix still doesn't know the charity they're collecting the money for, but he has an idea now.
And he has never been this mortified in his whole life. He swears under his breath, taking control of his breathing back, and whispers only for Changbin to hear. "You don't have to do anything if you're uncomfortable—"
"It's okay, you can touch me."
Yup, Felix confirms his status — flatlined ages ago.
He gets another nod when he confirms (yet again) with Changbin, slowly raising his hand to palm his leg. The hand is as shy as he feels now, and Felix can feel the room not breathing as he takes his position, glancing up between Changbin and his oh, so warm skin. "Is this okay?"
Changbin's breath hitches when the contact is made, wetting his lips when Felix gets bolder, moving the palm up towards his knee. The back of his neck is sweating so much, oh my god, but Felix continues until his fingers dip down below Changbin's knee, softly gripping the flesh found there.
Delicious. So fucking delicious.
Felix can't think of anything else as Hyunjin smirks at the position, snapping a photo after a photo, almost blinding them with the lights. But then Changbin complains about the position putting a strain on his left leg, so Hyunjin — ever so thoughtful — guides them around until Changbin is still crossed-legged on his left leg, next to Felix on the sofa, the right one still extended over Felix.
The new position finds Felix's hand much higher than before, as he palms at the outer part of his thigh. The flesh beneath feels warm, somehow even warmer, and he swore the skin is soft even against the harsh material of the fishnets.
Maybe he's imagining things. Yeah, Felix is imagining everything, and he's currently sleeping his night away, without a worry in sight. And he will be woken up, but his alarm in a bit, and the whole deal will be forgotten by the time he leaves for work.
But then Changbin shifts, trying to find a more comfortable position, and Felix realizes that his dream is somehow becoming a nightmare. They both freeze when Changbin's extended leg brushes up to something that shouldn't be so... 'aware' at the moment. "Um... Sorry."
Felix is mortified out of his mind when he realizes how hard he is, without even having to look down, as Changbin keeps his polite eyes up and towards the camera. His face doesn't give out anything, as he even raises his right leg to cover more of his lap, making Felix splutter even harder.
The rest of the shoot doesn't easily go... away.
***
"Great work today, everyone!" Hyunjin claps along with the crew, giving them more praise for their hard work and dedication as the shoot ends with amazing photos and some new friends. Most of them go back to change into their everyday clothes, as Hyunjin goes to his office with Chan.
"We need to take care of the bill, right?"
"Oh, we'll get to that," Hyunjin smiles, patting Chan's shoulder as they walk back to his office.
Chan enters first, Hyunjin being a gentleman, and sits down on the chair across from his work desk. The tabletop is a mess of papers, newspaper articles, and some copies of finished projects that are yet to be assorted, but Chan doesn't mind as Hyunjin sits down on the edge of the table instead.
"We paid beforehand, right?"
The photograph nods, leaning back slightly on the desk. "Yes, thank you for that."
"Is there anything else? I know the photos take a bit of time, and the calendar will be finished along with it—"
"Don't worry about anything, I have the best team on it," Hyunjin smiles down at the still confused Chan, before shrugging. "I need to deduct the cost of the shoot a bit, since Felix modeled for it, but other than that, I think we're finished."
Chan smiles, huffing out a relaxed sigh. "Great! But don't worry about the cost, we didn't mind Felix helping out. He seemed to have a natural chemistry with Bin, and they looked crazy good together."
"Right?" Hyunjin smirks, his cheeks pudging underneath his eyes from smiling. "Then I was right."
"Oh God, you did it on purpose," Chan joins in the fun as his smile softly raises, before he flashes his perfect teeth. "I knew it wasn't a random decision."
"Nope!" Hyunjin loves to pop his 'p's, using the brief silence to look at the man sitting once again. "So..."
"Yeah?" Chan swallows naturally, blinking up at Hyunjin when he stays quiet. "Am I missing something?"
"We're not in the working relationship anymore..."
Chan only nods, staying quiet.
So dense. "And we don't have any more obligations here..."
"That's awesome, though! I didn't think the shoot would go as—"
"Oh, God, just ask me out already!"
Chan shuts up on that, looking perplexed. But only for a moment, before he licks the corner of his mouth, unable to stop the smile from spreading. "How do you know I'm single? And interested?"
Hyunjin throws his head back laughing, jumping down from the desk as he goes. Instead, he bends down to face the man, pushing into his personal space as Chan unintentionally looks down at his lips briefly. "I also know you want to kiss me now, but you're too polite to do it."
Chan can only laugh, pushing himself back into the shared space.
***
"Bin? Coming for dinner?"
Changbin hears Jeongin calling as he's the last one to exit, following Minho and Seungmin closely. They were all much quicker to change into their regular clothes, as Changbin is still battling with his delicate fishnets. He's also battling an internal dilemma, but the stocking on his left leg is creating more problems instead.
"Where will you be? I'll drop by later,"
Jisung's head pops back in when Jeongin laughs, smirking under his cheeks. "I'll text you the location. But I don't think you'll need it,"
Both leave chuckling, leaving a very perplexed Changbin behind. Unfortunately, or not, he understands the underlined connotation of his sentence just as his toes pop free. He hears the commotion outside the dressing room, not turning around when Hyunjin walks in.
"Hey, Lix, the crew invited us to dinner. 'You up for it?"
Changbin can't see him, as there are multiple mannequins covering his view, but he still stops to listen. Eavesdropping should bother him, since it's not a polite thing to do, but his heart hammers against his throat when Felix denies the offer and explains how he needs to take care of the mess here instead.
"I have to pack everything for dry cleaning and then rearrange makeup and mannequins—"
"Just go easy on him," Hyunjin winks after whispering only for Felix to hear, and the sock he gets in the face shouldn't surprise him.
Felix is aware he's left alone in the studio with Changbin when Hyunjin closes the door behind him, but he doesn't know where to go from here. The situation back there was hard enough for his humiliation to skyrocket, and even facing the man now feels wrong.
He doesn't even know which way Changbin swings, but getting your lap full of another man's hard... No, Felix can't think about it again, completely mortified.
"Hey,"
This makes him jump out of his skin, too busy overreacting and overthinking to hear Changbin shuffling behind. Felix takes all of his willpower to turn around and face him (ignoring how his cheeks flare up at the eye contact).
"Hey! What's up?"
While Felix cringes, Changbin smiles softly, gathering all the artificial lights in his eyes as he steps closer. "The zipper is stuck... I think? I can't take it off,"
He seems bashful, and Felix shouldn't find it so cute as Changbin is standing there in nothing but his favorite skirt from the shoot. Still, he steps closer, swallowing down when Changbin turns around and shows his glorious, wide back once again.
Focus, Felix! Focus!
"What?"
"Nothing!"
True to Changbin's words, the zipper is stuck. Felix tries to pinch the waist of the skirt, without touching any skin, because wow, heart attack, and pulls the zipper down, but nothing happens. "You were right, it's stuck."
"I can't leave in this skirt, though."
Felix only hums, thinking about what to do. He's already dressed in his comfortable, everyday clothes.
"I mean, I'm not ashamed to wear it outside!" Changbin starts explaining, glancing back over his shoulder to express his sincerity, continuing. "It's just-it's a precious part of your collection-the— the one that inspired you to make all of this—" He vaguely gestures to the room around them, "—and it would be disrespectful to take it home, while—"
"Changbin, relax," Felix chuckles at his speech, unwittingly putting his palm over his shoulder in the process. When he realizes, Changbin looks over it, keeping eye contact for a bit longer.
Feeling the awkwardness, Felix clears his throat, focusing back on the problem. "I can always cut it out?"
"No!" Changbin flares up, shaking his head for good measure. "You worked hard on the collection, and ruining the piece would be unacceptable. We have to figure something else."
Felix can't stop the soft smile from climbing up from the lump in his throat, feeling somewhat joyous to witness such respect for his work. It's not that he's not respected, it's just... Changbin doesn't know anything about him, and yet he cares more about his creations than a lot of people in his life.
"You can take off your underwear—" He did not just say that! Changbin must feel the same because he stands still, waiting for Felix to say anything else. "I mean... Maybe the zipper got stuck in the hem and not your underwear, and we could get it down—"
Changbin nods to stop his ramble, bending down enough to pull his underwear with both hands—Felix looks around to give him at least some privacy—before succeeding in taking the boxers off. "You were right, it's not stuck on my..." He trails off, not knowing what else to add.
"Yeah," Felix is still looking up, too aware of the state of this gorgeous specimen in front, and yet still not completely over his tiny crush from before. It's silly.
But he can't help it —Changbin bought him completely as soon as he tried on that damn skirt.
Meanwhile, Changbin is standing there, super aware of being naked, safe from the burgundy skirt they still don't have a solution for. He's still not putting his underwear back on, for whatever reason.
"What if we..." Felix pouts as he looks around, in deep thought about what to do next. "Wait! I know! Hyunjin has all kinds of equipment for maintaining his camera. I'm sure we can find something there to unclasp the zipper."
"Great! Lead the way,"
When they step out of the dressing room, Felix looks down to see Changbin's feet clad in soft, bunny slippers they have for their models, and finds the scene even more adorable. "Sorry, I took the first thing I could find."
"It's okay. It's cute." Felix turns around to leave, adding just under his breath. "You're cute."
"That is the second time today you've called me cute," Felix can't see him, but he can hear the smile in his voice.
"You weren't supposed to hear that..."
"I wasn't supposed to witness a lot of things today..."
Felix stops right there and then, mortified out of his goddamn mind! Of course, he'd mention that - how could he not!?
"We... are talking about it, I see..."
"Talking about what?" Changbin raises one trained eyebrow, tilting his head a bit as he waits for Felix to answer. Felix thinks he's doing too much, honestly, pretending to be innocent and clueless when he was the one to bring it up first.
"Oh, don't play dumb now." Felix turns around once again, but can't make the first step towards Hyunjin's office. An apology is in order, due to many reasons, honestly. But they all cloud his mind with an extra layer of anxiety, as he turns around once again to offer at least something in return.
"I'm sorry..." Felix looks down, breathing out. "I don't know what happened to me and... I feel ashamed that you had to see that. I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you don't hold it against the studio or—"
"Was it something I did?"
… Felix blanches, looking up. Instead of finding a pissed, offended Changbin demanding some kind of compensation for the done damage, the man is standing there looking... boastful? Felix is confused.
"Wait, you're not angry?"
"Why would I be?" A chuckle, followed by Changbin stepping closer. "I mean, it's a natural reaction to seeing something you like, right?"
Felix has stopped breathing — for the hundredth time today, and all due to Changbin — so he doesn't think when he stays put in his spot, waiting for Changbin to come to him. "Or maybe thinking about doing something... with certain someone,"
"What are you saying?"
Changbin is a couple of inches away, peering up to him with those bottomless orbs Felix hasn't looked into long enough. Now that he has a chance, he's feeling all kinds of things, and the whole experience is making him shudder.
Changbin only smirks. "What do you want me to say?"
And Felix doesn't know... The feeling from before comes back, hitting him like waves, and is he about to do something so reckless that even Hyunjin would be surprised? He doesn't know what comes next, but he's willing to find out.
"Whatever comes to your mind." He finally utters, and that seems to baffle Changbin for a bit, but he quickly composes himself. "Really?" Felix just nods.
So Changbin comes closer, licking his lips as he looks around the studio. "We are alone?" He whispers. Felix nods again, taking a deep breath. "And nobody is coming back?" Felix can't even nod anymore, just blinks as Changbin finally stands before him, looking down to touch the back of his hand slowly, tickling his skin as his fingers move upwards to his elbow. He's looking down as his fingers go up, and then slowly looks at Felix right in his eyes.
"This is so out of my character..." Changbin utters softly, breathing down as he looks up. "And yet you're so gorgeous and soft and that photoshoot really did things to me too—" Felix can't take it anymore.
He bites the bullet and crashes their lips in a messy kiss, surprising even himself with how much elation he feels for the man and the moment right now.
And Changbin kisses back like he's been starving, pushing his lips apart for their tongues to meet, and that's when Felix loses it. "We don't have to do anything, if you're not comfortable..." He hears the shorter whispering at his lips, but Felix doesn't even have the beginning of a thought to break this off.
So he grabs at his face, pulling him closer, feeling the gloss from Changbin's lips smearing around as he kisses deeper, and deeper, drunk on the drag of their tongues meeting.
And Changbin is a masterful kisser.
He pushes more into his space, strong arms caging Felix from both sides, as the blond one loses his mind more and more. He's not breathing anymore, as Changbin uses leverage on his thighs to pull him up and away from the spot.
But Felix isn't letting go — he tries to keep the kiss going, as he moans loudly, feeling Changbin from underneath. Heat pools in both their groin, and Felix can feel how he affects Changbin physically. It's so out of his mind to do this, but Felix isn't thinking straight — especially not after Changbin gently throws him down on the sofa they used earlier.
Clad in nothing but his skirt, Changbin tries to grab a breathful inhale, as Felix peers from underneath his lashes, biting his lower, plump lip, red from the kiss.
"Don't do that..."
"Do what?" Felix has enough sanity to ask, but then Changbin surprises him and dives in.
All the air is kicked out of his lungs when Changbin lies over him, pushing more into his space and catching him breathless when Changbin uses his hips to roll onto him.
Felix is pushing upwards, moaning as Changbin drags his moist lips down to his cheeks and right underneath his jaw, hooking his teeth there until it burns. Felix has lost all his willpower to argue about anything else but this moment and this man, and everything that's happening.
Changbin breathes down on his pulse point as Felix scrapes his scalp, messing with his hair more and more. His legs are apart as the skirt rises enough to reveal how affected Changbin is, too, and Felix isn't thinking anymore as he pulls him closer with both hands sprawled on his back.
He's being manhandled next as Changbin picks him up from the sofa and on his lap instead. Felix's legs part naturally to mount the man of his wildest dreams, and they go back to tasting each other on both tongues as Felix breathes up, pushing deeper and deeper until he melts into his lap.
Changbin doesn't allow him to move away as he pushes his head upwards, more into his lips and his space, and Felix should be ashamed that he moans into the kiss when he feels strong hands pushing at his back, clawing to take his shirt off.
They're skin to skin in the next moment, and Felix should count his heartbeat because his heart is doing leaps right out of his ribcage. He doesn't remember ever being this turned on, like molten lava mushing his brain from the inside, and his hands can't keep away from touching— feeling every muscle and curve of Changbin's body.
"Off." He hears Changbin whispering at his pulse point on his neck, and Felix takes exactly two seconds to stand up and push his pants and underwear off. He doesn't miss the gulp that Changbin takes when he crawls back into his lap, taking up every bit of skin he finally gets to see. His eyes are bottomless from all the lust and craving, and Felix can't take everything in as he licks his lips — not bearing to be away for even a moment longer.
They're a mess of hands pulling, lips bruising as Felix tries to drink up every groan and moan right out of his mouth. Changbin's hand trickles down over his chest, down to his lap, as he finally takes his leaking cock in his hand, all while keeping him close with his other hand sprawled over the small of his back.
The moan that Felix lets out doesn't seem innocent anymore, as Changbin's rough hand moves up from the base of him, to the tip where he smears the precum around, before moving down and repeating the action. Slowly, teasingly so, catching Felix's lips in a searing kiss as he swims somewhere between lust and reality, melting into him.
But the taller has enough reason to remember he's not doing this alone, as he moves away and pulls from his lips. Changbin's plea almost sounds like a kicked puppy when he takes a look into his eyes, yearning for their lips to meet again.
As sly as he is, Felix can only chuckle, pecking him for a moment longer, before pushing the skirt out of the way until Changbin's thick member snaps up and towards his strong stomach. It's been tenting underneath the material long enough, and Felix can drool at the sight of a full member right there for him, fiery red. Because of him!
Felix can hear the black-haired boy huffing when his eyes bulge out at the sheer size of his dick, and man, he didn't know a short guy like Changbin was packing!
But he doesn't think any longer — he stopped thinking and started feeling a long time ago — and instead licks his palm bottom to top, and drops his hand to finally take him in his hand too. He doesn't miss the way Changbin's eyes double in size when he does just that, but he swallows his moan right at the tip of his tongue when he finally drags his wet thumb over the pink, glistening tip.
They fall into the same rhythm as both try to keep up with the liquid gold, scorching pleasure that splits their mouths open, as they breathe the same air — Felix licking his bottom lip as Changbin twists his wrist just right.
"I... can't..." Felix can feel the convulsing of his thighs as he tries to stay upright, and Changbin gets it. So he stops with his hand, kissing the corner of his lips, as his hands grab at his waist, pulling him away and down to the sofa instead.
The blond gets his lap full of Changbin as he stays upright at his left arm right next to Felix's head, and grabs both of them together in his hand. Felix should lower his tone at this point, and his grunts and moans only fuel Changbin more as he thrusts into his lap more and more, deeper each time — the two mushroom tips catching and dragging as he goes.
This type of pleasure is not measurable with anything that Felix has ever felt in his life, and he's for sure losing his mind thread by thread. So instead of declaring his love right there and then, he pulls Changbin down by his hair, and melts when his tongue slips right into his mouth.
It's not even considered kissing anymore, as their breaths meet and warm between them, just as Changbin tries to keep up with his hand. He's not upright as he tries to kiss Felix back, but his hips are up enough to still work his wrist, squeezing his hand as Felix bites on his lip.
But then Changbin works his magic yet again, and slowly pushes his lips down and over his jawline, neck, the dip where his shoulder meets the rest of him, and finally to his nipples, where he takes a big bite—rolling the bud between his lips to ease the pain. Just as Felix's eyes roll to the back of his skull.
"I'm so close..." Felix stutters in between moans, feeling the familiar pull deep in his core. He's still leaking abnormally for a male of his age and status, but he tries to keep his cool for a tad bit longer because this feeling is the peak of his being.
"You have no idea..." Changbin whispers as he dives down to bite harshly on his ear, rolling his hips harder and deeper each time he comes down. The skirt—that damn piece of fabric that started this hell and heaven combined brushes up with the cocks in the most delicious manner and Felix can count only to three—if he was even a portion coherent to think and feel anything but this moment and this man here—before he pulls Changbin down to moan right into his lips as he spills right there and then, staying oh so breathless when the train finally hits. And boy, does it hit!
He feels like every fiber of his being is swimming somewhere between purgatory and hell, and he feels on fire whenever he touches. The peak lasts longer as his cock is still in Changbin's hard and soft at the same time palm, as he stops just enough to look at the pure bliss on Felix's face, twitching at the sight. He's so gorgeous, and Changbin didn't think he could get anymore prettier than this.
Changbin picks up the pace as he chases his own, huffing into Felix's face as he cums too, straining both their chests and his hand. Felix is still rolling his hips when Changbin breathes out through his lips, eyes too unfocused and swimming, but nowhere else but at Felix's, basking in this intimate moment that feels too intimate for the first time with a stranger, if you think about it. But, luckily, neither do.
And Felix in question? Died and went to hell and heaven at the same time.
They're still trying to come to their senses as Changbin brings his dirtied hand up to Felix's lips, licking his lips as Felix's pink tongue comes out enough to lick from his pinky finger to the pointer, eyes directly looking back at Changbin's.
And the man? Hard again!
So he does the next best thing, taking his hand from Felix's mouth, groaning when he sees the sticky cum at the tip of his tongue, where Felix doesn't close his mouth on purpose, and dives right in. Their mouths huff and stick when Felix tries to keep up with the kiss, moaning when Changbin pulls his lower lip softly, watching it snap back to its place.
Changbin stays close when he pulls away, and then he realizes that the cum landed on the skirt too. Felix takes his boxers from the pile of clothes and wipes himself clean before turning to the other man, chuckling when he realizes the mess he's made as well.
"Here, gorgeous," Felix comments offhandedly, taking the boxers down to Changbin's lap to wipe, but the other man pleads with his voice when he looks at the state of the skirt. The prized skirt from Felix's collection that started this all.
"It's ruined. I ruined it," Changbin looks pitiful when he picks up the material from his lap, showing it to Felix, and it's so endearing that the blond can't help but swoon. There's a stain at the front where cum dries up, and it doesn't even matter whose it is. He takes both his cheeks in his hands and coos at the reaction. "It's okay," Because it is. This piece of material is for keeping it in the state it is, being worshiped for what it is, and what it brought.
"It's not!" Changbin looks adorable as his cheeks pudge where Felix is holding him, and huffs out. "It's from your collection, and you worked so hard for this, and I ruined it!"
"Hey, we both did... that." Felix looks down to his naked form—his cock swelling just a bit, like being open for them to continue for a round two—and back into Changbin's eyes. "It's not your fault."
"But..."
"No buts!" Felix pips in, kissing the pout that forms on Changbin's lips, and smiles when he melts into the contact.
"Well, other than yours..." Changbin finally smirks, playfully slapping the butt in question, making Felix yelp out loud. He tries to move away, giggling, but Changbin's strong arms are around his form in the split of a second, already pulling him back to his lap.
"I can get used to this sight." Felix can't help but kiss him just as he hugs him closer, words spilling out just for the blond to hear.
But before they can make out some more, Changbin pulls back, finding Felix's eyes when he finally opens them. "Hey, this is... so out of my character, and I don't know what came over me—"
"That would be me," Felix chuckles, but he feels shy when Changbin's small but tentative smile crawls up to his lips. He's looking so gorgeous underneath him, strong, rough but soft hands cradling his sides, going up from his shoulders down to his thighs, where he stops and holds him gently.
"True, but..." And he can't even find the words to continue. Felix can see the struggle, but before his mind can go into overdrive of Changbin regretting all of this ever happening, the man surprises him yet again. "What I mean, and you can turn me down if that's not something you wish to do, but I wish that you say yes—"
"Bin, are you asking me out?" And the nickname falls from his lips so easily.
This is by far the prettiest smile Changbin has yet given him.
"Of course! Have you seen yourself? You're so gorgeous and smart and talented, and I don't even know what I did in any of my lives to have you here with me—like this. Are you kidding?!" Changbin's rambling, and Felix is melting more and more with each word.
"Well, take me out and you can prove it to me over and over again!"
Felix shouldn't melt yet again when Changbin kisses him, but he can't help from form a smile as he tries to keep his excitement from bubbling up.
** In a restaurant somewhere in downtown Seoul **
"I don't think they're coming," Chan checks his phone again, as the rest of his team laugh over their drinks and food, over a joke someone—probably Jisung—said, and looks over to Hyunjin when the man laughs next to him, downing his beer in one mouthful.
"Oh, honey. They already came."
Chan has enough willpower not to pounce on the man right there and then and have his way with him because he's not been thinking about anything else but that smooch they shared back at Hyunjin's office.
Like he's reading his mind, Hyunjin looks over to his colleagues, all laughing, half-drunk and happy, smiling when he catches Chan's eyes.
The taller smirks coming closer to whisper in Chan's ears, not missing how red they become. "And you can too, if you were to follow me right this second."
The drinks that get spilled on the table when Chan stands up, yelling for everyone that he's got the bill, shouldn't matter to anyone, but it makes Hyunjin laugh out loud when he stands up as well, waving over his shoulder. "You did well today, everyone! Don't wait up!"
